People hold the Hashira up on a pedestal, looking to them as paragons of honour and power. The strongest, the bravest, the very thing to strive for to achieve.
But they forget that the Hashira are people too. They have dreams, families, fears and desires. They hold anger in their hearts, driven by rage, by demand, by necessity. They are held up to such standards that some slayers believe are impossible. It is easy to bury everything they are in order to be that person that others need.
But that does not stop the truth that they hold in them. It does not stop them from wanting.
And he wants. He wants and wants and wants.

Sakai Taisei (Gira Husty)
-The Director's valuable advice on how to play Gira in a natural way-
I think that we were able to complete filming without any issues due to the support of many people over the past year.
As an actor, I was inspired alot by the many career actors in the King-Ohger cast. In particular, Morioka Yutaka-san, who played Douga, and Masato Yano-san, who played Racules, both of whom I had many opportunities to work with, were very important. However, both of them didn't give me any specific advice on the set. They always had the attitude of, "You're free to do whatever you want to do," and I was grateful for that more than anything.
Filming was done in front of a green screen in the studio, which was a special environment, but since I personally didn't have much experience in filming dramas, I had no objections to it at all. Sometimes we filmed on location, so experiencing the "live scenery" and "atmosphere of the site" was nice, but in our situation, we felt uncomfortable unless we were in front of the green screen (laughs). It had become such a normal thing for us.
As for the performance, at first I couldn't understand the Director's intentions and was just figuring it out in my head, but then Director Kamihoriuchi Kazuya told me, "Feel it with your heart," and that's when it became easier to act. After that, I feel like I was able to take on the role of Gira more naturally throughout those days of filming.
Also, I think we showed "Gira two years later" in the new chapter partly through the visuals and direction, such as his costume and hairstyle, but I also wanted to play the role showing a more relaxed side in my own way.
-The wonderful thing about Gira is that he's always there for others-
What I was most mindful of throughout the year was definitely the relationship with Racules. I wasn't told of any future developments, so I was surprised when I read the scripts for episodes 41 and 42. Even though he's his older brother I played the role with a strong sense of, "Overthrow Racules!" I had heard during filming for episode 20 that he was going to reappear later, but I had no idea he was destined to carry such a cruel burden……That's why I was deeply moved by our joint fight scene in episode 42.
After that, in episode 43, I'll never forget the scene where we hold each other's hands. Compared to Yano-san, I think I'm still inexperienced in some aspects of acting, but I did my best in my own way, so I'd be happy if you could grasp the feelings the two of us have.
From episode 48 to the final episode, many of the cast members who've helped us in the past reappeared, and the motivation on set was even higher than usual. The main Director of the last three episodes was Kamihoriuchi-san, and the six of us who play the roles of the kings have absolute trust in the Director, but he's also someone who's uncompromising in his approach to the play, so I worked hard to "hang in there until the very end."
The final day of filming was the scene in the final episode where the six of us are untransformed. I personally didn't intend to be overly emotional just because it was the final take. However, when the Director said "OK!," the cast and crew involved in the production, including Yano-san, who wasn't supposed to be filming that day, gathered around. I thought, "So many people were watching over us" and became overwhelmed with emotion……I think I probably cried more than anyone else (laughs).
Looking back on all the episodes, I think that Gira was always portrayed as a character who stood by someone's side. He always tries to understand people's feelings, regardless of whether they're a king, retainer, or a citizen, and I thought it was wonderful to see that kind of attitude as I played Gira
As time goes on, please don't forget about Gira!

Watanabe Aoto (Yanma Gast)
-Yanma's coolness is the charm that Director Kamioriuchi possesses-
Currently, when I look back at Yanma from a year ago, I feel alittle embarrassed because he seems so childish (laughs). I've jokingly said to the staff on set things like, "I want to reshoot that scene," but on the other hand, I felt that it was a performance that only I, who had just encountered Yanma, could give. That's just how I feel right now.
As for my role, it was largely created together with Director Kamihoriuchi Kazuya. In the beginning, I read stories about real kings and books by various leaders, and I tried to express them through "moving performances." In response, the Director told me to, "Take a more confident stance," and from that point on, I had the image of, "Even if he doesn't say much, his coolness will be shown through his actions." To be more specific, Yanma has something in common with Director Kamihoriuchi himself. I think that the Director's charm as a person is reflected through Yanma.
What I remember well from early filming was the N'kosopa scene in episode 2. We spent the whole day filming in the cold during the middle of winter with the participation of members of the TTFC (Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club), and it truly felt like a king and his people overcoming their difficulties as one. Episode 2 in particular was the one where I read the script repeatedly after my audition, so I'll never forget the excitement I felt when I saw the finished footage.
Every episode is filled with memories, but the developments that take place two years later starting from episode 27 stirred me up. At first, I thought he was going to be alittle more mature and relaxed, but now that his hair was a blonde pompadour, I decided to play a more active role. In episode 35, when they all go to take back the invaded N'kosopa, I felt Yanma's growth compared to episode 2. The actual successful recapture took place in episode 39. During that time, for the main episodes of Hymeno, Kaguragi, and Rita, Yanma had many funny moments, and as I played him I thought that even though things were tough, he doesn't stay down, which is another cool thing about him.
-The fans are part of the production!-
When he was being manipulated by Hilbil in episode 44, the interaction with Gira had many homages to the past. Usually, there are many opportunities for Yanma to say something preachy, but in this episode it's the opposite, and Yanma catching Gira's fist is also a reverse pattern from episode 17.
Also, defeating Hilbil using the 10 combination King-Ohger for the first time in a long time was a hot development, and in the end, we both said the exact same lines as in episode 2, being, "Lowlifes like you…(-Gira), Should know your place…(-Yanma), On your knees! (-both)."
From episode 48 to the final episode, new assets have been created, and I think that the viewers will enjoy the spectacular visuals until the very end.
In the scene where the "King's Proof" is returned, only my mouth is shown, and the Director told me, "The love you've received is too great, so it's okay if you cry." I intended to act dignified, but those words were like magic, and I was immediately overcome with emotion.
Other hot developments include the reappearance of major characters, and the relationship between the kings and the people they're meant to protect is also noteworthy.
Even after all the battles were over, Yanma still had work to do, and I was able to play the role of Yanma, who's always looking forward until the end.
After working on it for a year, first of all, I'm relieved that filming was completed successfully, and I'd like to take this opportunity to express my feelings of "thank you" to the many people who supported us.
Personally, I believe that King-Ohger was created by everyone, and the fans are also a part of the production. I'd be happy if you could think of us six kings from time to time.

Murakami Erica (Hymeno Ran)
-The key to playing Hymeno is "how to deal with life"-
Hymeno has a selfish side, but if she shows it too forcefully, her position as a king will be in danger. Of course, it's not just being selfish, and the reason was depicted in episode 3, but reading the script and actually doing the performance gave off a different impression, so I explored this through the opinions of the people on set and through interactions with the cast. Also, after learning about the setting in which her parents were murdered in episode 7, I thought that Hymeno's key point was "how to deal with life."
I was acting without knowing what was going to happen next, but it was interesting to see things in a different point of view once all the facts were known, such as the foreshadowing of the anesthetic in episode 8 being revealed in episode 42. It was like reading a serialized manga, and there was a competition among the cast to see who would get the new script first (laughs), and the person who got it first would upload a photo of the script to our group chat.
Personally, my favorite episode was episode 28. I had alot of conversations with Kaku So-san about playing Kaguragi, and I was able to see a side of Kaguragi that I had never seen before, and I think we were able to deepen our understanding not only of our characters, but also of the cast. Other than that, I also enjoyed episode 36. The matchmaking competition was hard to endure because everyone was trying their best to make me laugh, like Yanma's weird face when he was being controlled by Jeramie (laughs). Also, Hymeno, who was being impersonated by Kamejim, casually crossed her legs even though she doesn't usually do that. The uglier the fake becomes, the brighter the real one shines, so I was conscious of the gap between the two while concealing her true identity.
When I got involved with Rita in episode 5, Director Kamihoriuchi Kazuya told me, "I want you to perform the role of Hymeno as if she's aware Rita will be hard to deal with." At first I thought, "Hymeno and Rita are incompatible, huh," but as they got closer and closer through Moffun and the "Wrath of God," I feel that they've become a very special person to Hymeno. That's why when Rita came to Ishabana in episode 30, Rita may have just been fulfilling their duties, but I thought it was cute that they misunderstood that Hymeno had gone out of her way to meet them. To be honest, I was pretty excited to film the tea scene (laughs).
-I was lifted up by Hymeno's inner strength-
The existence of Grodie, the enemy of her parents, was revealed in episode 30 and defeated in episode 47, but before that, I personally thought episode 46 was important. Jeramie decides to use his"King's Proof" to give life to the immortal Grodie, and Hymeno accepts his decision. There's a conversation between the two of them where they said, "It's okay to cry" and, "I'll ruin my makeup." The script was based on the answer I gave to screenwriter Takano Minato-san when he asked me, "What do you want to do?" I suggested that if a little girl was crying and Hymeno came to her, she might say something like, "What a waste of a pretty face" or "Your mascara will be ruined" to keep her positive. When I opened the script, I was surprised to find that she wouldn't be crying, but I was happy because I wanted to show Hymeno's strong will!
In the end, it was an "all star" effort, and I was thrilled that she was reunited with her parents in episode 49. Although the scene took place while both of them were concentrating on providing treatment, they were able to communicate without having to talk, and I felt a sense of closure within Hymeno. In the final episode, it was cool to see everyone stand up against Dagded, there were some unexpected surprises, and we were able to reach a truly wonderful ending.
All 50 episodes are filled with the passion of the cast and staff, and I think that no matter which episode you watch, you won't be disappointed. During all this, I myself was lifted up by Hymeno's inner strength, and I'm so glad that I was able to work with all the cast members until the end. I hope to see you again in the future, such as the FLT, so please continue to support us!

Hirakawa Yuzuki (Rita Kaniska)
-Playing the role of Rita by moving their "mind" with their whole body-
The role of Rita is an "immovable" character, so the performance doesn't focus on movement, and their face is visible only through their left eye and you can't see their facial expressions, so it was difficult in the early days of filming. The solo performances were particularly difficult. In episode 12, there's the trial scene where Jeramie is listening to them, but since only my eye was visible, I was concerned that my blinking or the direction of my gaze might convey nuance that I didn't intend. At that time, Director Kamihoriuchi Kazuya gave me advice of, "If you perform by moving your mind with your whole body, it becomes an expression, so you don't have to be caught up in performing with only your left eye." This gave me confidence and made me think, "Maybe there's more I can do."
When talking about Rita, their relationship with Hymeno is also important. In addition to being king, Rita has the role of Chief International Justice, so there was a part of them that drew a line between themself and others, but after the interaction with Hymeno was depicted towards the end of episode 16, Rita was able to separate their work and private life, and the areas where they could express themself gradually became clearer. I thought that when they had tea together in episode 30, it was another scene that brought them closer together.
Also, Karras and Shiron are like parents to Rita. In episode 16, we learned some of Rita's past, which I thought could be reflected in future performances. After that, everything came together in episode 30. When I read the script and learned of Shiron's death, I was personally shaken, and during filming, I was able to fully feel Rita's feelings while acting. Also, while they were determined to seal Grodie in this episode, Hymeno stopped them from doing so, and it reminded them once again of how valued they are. Episode 30 is an unforgettable episode, not only because of their relationship with Hymeno, but also in the sense that Rita became stronger after preparing to die.
-It was a year of pursuing the role of Rita that I envisioned-
I was very happy to receive lots of feedback on SNS for the Idol episode.
The stage scene was only about two lines long in the script, but the set they created was so beautiful, so I went into filming thinking, "I hope the viewers will enjoy it."
It was the most difficult time for me, learning dances and recording at the same time as filming, but I have the impression that I did my best as "Hirakawa Yuzuki" in this episode, even though I was playing Rita.
Towards the end of episode 45, it was very exciting to see Kaguragi and Rita, who had never had a chance to really interact before, working together. Since we often filmed separately, when we met, Kaku So-san and I would report to each other with, "How did that scene go?"
I was also impressed by the scene in episode 48 where they launch the evacuation plan "Zero." It was really hard even for me to admit that they couldn't defeat Dagded, but I think that's just how much I got into the role.
At the end of the story that spanned a year, six people with very strong personalities come together, and if just one of them were missing, the story could not be completed, so I think it concluded in a way that was truly typical of "Ohsama Sentai."
Looking back, I had wanted to play the role of Rita since the audition stage, and being able to pursue my own vision of Rita for a year was an invaluable and truly precious experience.
Now that filming's over, I feel sad, but I hope that people will look back on the show after it's finished airing, and I hope that it grows into a show that'll continue to be loved forever.

Kaku So (Kaguragi Dybowski)
-Until I did the difficult role of deceiving and tricking people-
In the beginning I was told that the role of Kaguragi was a character that deceives and tricks people, but at the same time, the Producer said, "Please don't make him someone that people dislike," and I thought, "No, that's going to be difficult" (laughs). In a way, Kaguragi has conflicting aspects, but in episode 4, the resolution within me improved, and I began to enjoy playing the role more.
Also, the "Hweh?" response when he's acting silly in episode 8 wasn't specifically written in the script, and when I first tried to just do the facial expression, Director Yamaguchi Kyohei said, "I want it to have alittle more impact," so I also added the voice. It's thanks to the Director that I was able to emphasize his personality.
Then there's the relationship with his younger sister Suzume. Kamura Mami-san, who plays Suzume, had such a convincing performance from the first day that it made me think, "That's Kaguragi's sister," and through her I was able to bring out the comedic side of my performance alot more.
All the episodes are memorable, but if I had to pick one main episode for Kaguragi, it would be episode 37. While I've always played the role that rides the line between good and evil, that episode gave more weight to the fact that he carries a tragic past, and I myself became more fond of Kaguragi. The honest and pure Kaguragi I played in the flashback scenes are literally just me (laughs), so it was easy to do. His voice is usually deep and threatening, but at that time I tried to show his "difference" by using a tone that was closer to my actual self.
It was also interesting to perform the scene where he and Racules, played by Masato Yano-chan, were trying to expose each other's secrets. However, I wasn't sure about their relationship, and one time when I asked Yano-chan, "Do you know when they'll become friends?," he left me hanging with, "No, I don't know" (laughs). I first found out about their backgrounds when I read the script for episode 42. In retrospect, he was mostly absent in episode 36, was he perhaps discussing things with Racules behind the scenes? The line at the end of episode 37, "Let's take the dirtiest road ahead from now on," was also foreshadowing.
As for Kaguragi, he probably believed in Suzume and followed Racules, and I believe that he carried out his own will even though he was prepared to be deceived.
-Even now, Kaguragi's in my heart!-
Towards the end of episode 45, it became a main episode between him and Rita, someone he had little chance to interact with up until then. It was a new experience for me to work with Yuzuyan, and we enjoyed each other's presence. The scenes where they both communicate their feelings were performed separately because I spoke to their partner Morphonia, but even though they weren't in the same space, it was really cool to depict that they shared the same mindset. Kaguragi may be deceiving on the surface, but deep down, he just wants to make people smile, and I was able to portray that side of him.
The final episode completes the story, but there's also some room that allows you to use your imagination, which is what I like about it. If it ended properly, that'd be sad, wouldn't it? During filming, I worked hard until the end, but I'm personally the type of person who likes to joke around and have fun while doing it. I'm glad that we were able to spend time in a cheerful atmosphere until the very final moment.
Even after all filming finishes, I still have many more opportunities to play Kaguragi, including performances at Theater G Rosso and the FLT, and I still feel as if Kaguragi is in my heart.
Having a stance like Kaguragi's may not be easily rewarded, but I think it's filled with what's important for people to live their lives.
Whenever you feel like giving up or are having a hard time, I'd be happy if you could remember Kaguragi and think, "Let's do our best!"

Ikeda Masashi (Jeramie Brasieri)
-Jeramie, who's been alive for 2,000 years, shows his "composure"-
In my situation as Jeramie, I started out as the narrator, so my job began with voice recording. The other five had already started filming, and looking back, it feels nostalgic, as when I first greeted them, I was overwhelmed by their flashy costumes and everyone's aura. I made my first appearance as Jeramie at the end of episode 11, where I was suddenly performing with a mask on.
My real appearance began in the next one, episode 12, and since his character is set to have lived for 2,000 years, I thought I should have a certain amount of freedom in my performance. At the time, I still wasn't used to being on set, but it's not good to get nervous, so I just gave it my best shot. I was really happy that everyone was willing to talk to me during this time. Thanks to them, I was able to open up right away.
In the beginning, I think Jeramie was a character who he himself was hard to read between the lines (laughs), but as the story progressed, his growth was also depicted, which I personally found very rewarding to perform. In particular, I think that episode 26 was a turning point for Jeramie. Just before Desnarak VIII dies, the scene where they exchange the lines, "You'll become king, and make them see, that the Bugnarak are here" and, "You'll be there too……" is one of my favorites in the entire show. Desnarak VIII is family, as they share the same name "Narak," and the, "You'll be there too" was an expression of his feelings that he didn't want him to die, as Desnarak VIII's existence was a major factor in Jeramie's resolution to become king.
-The final episode had a perfect conclusion and everyone was satisfied-
After entering the new chapter, in episode 29, there was a scene in which I play a major role as the mastermind behind everything. It was difficult to find the right balance, but I acted with so much enthusiasm that I was willing to yell at everyone. As Jeramie, I wish for peace more than anyone else, as I want to protect everyone at the expense of myself, so I faced the situation as best as I could, which was both noble and heartbreaking.
Then, in episode 31, everyone fought to clear my (Jeramie's) name. I feel that Jeramie, who has been lonely for such a long time, had finally made true and kind friends. Also, the line "I love you" that he says to his mother (Nephila) in this episode really moved me. In episode 12, for those words he said, "There's no phrase in this world that's more cliche," but I didn't realize he would capture that foreshadowing so effectively.
There's a scene where he fights together with his mother towards the end of episode 49, and I'd like the parents who watch the show to pay attention to the relationship between us as parent and child.
Also, in episode 47, it was really intense when Grodie was given the "King's Proof." For Jeramie, the "King's Proof" is "eternal life," so he'll no longer be immortal if he uses it……The determination to reach that point was no ordinary feat, and it must've been very worrying. That's why the scene where Jeramie talks with Hymeno in front of the setting sun after making up his mind left such an impression on me. Marie was able to convey her thoughts clearly, so I was able to naturally get into the role, and I think the two of us were able to create a performance that worked well together.
The final episode perfectly portrayed Jeramie's role as the storyteller, which had continued from the first episode, and the story comes to a perfect conclusion based on what had happened so far. I was talking to everyone on set, and deep down, we feel we were able to end the show properly.
More than anything, I'm really satisfied that I was able to spend a year with this group. Throughout the year, I'm sure each of us had our own hard and painful times, but seeing everyone's faces on set made me feel at ease. I'm very grateful to the five of you who played the roles of king.

Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger: The Kings Group Discussion Over the past year of filming, the bonds of the cast have gradually deepened. Looking back on filming, we asked them about their "true opinions" that they can only talk about now.
-Fun memories from the past year-
Kaku: The first topic is "fun memories." Does that mean the casual conversations we all had while filming? (laughs). We all talked in the moment and everyone would laugh and go "wahaha" alot.
Hirakawa: On the other hand, filming alone made me feel really lonely. It was natural for me to be with everyone else.
Murakami: It was part of our daily routine to go out and eat with everyone after we finished filming. It was fun~.
Watanabe: Also, the day before the broadcast was part of the fun!
Sakai: It's really exciting to see your own performance on screen. And then there were the reactions after the broadcast.
Hirakawa: We were popular every week on SNS.
Kaku: Each time, the character with the most active role would be trending.
Ikeda: For me, the recording sessions were also fun.
Murakami: I'd see footage for scenes I wasn't in for the first time during the recording, so that was alot of fun too.
-The many true selves that everyone's seen-
Murakami: After spending time with everyone, the first thing that surprised me was that Taisei actually likes to play pranks.
Sakai: Eh? I've never played one once.
Kaku: That's a lie!
Murakami: You did stuff like add wasabi to our kaisendon (laughs).
Hirakawa: It was really spicy! (laughs).
Murakami: Or before our cue, you'd shout, "Whaa!" from behind us.
Sakai: I never did that~
Ikeda: Yes you did~
Hirakawa: He did that to me too (laughs).
Murakami: It was also abit surprising that Aoto, who I thought was cool at first, would also mess around.
Watanabe: Eh? Really?
Hirakawa: It's also surprising that he pretends not to know. Actually, he's "in charge of being cute" (laughs).
Murakami: Yeah, "the person in charge of being cute."
Watanabe: When I first learned about the cast of the kings, I thought I was going to be the "cute one" (laughs).
Hirakawa: That's what we're saying!
Sakai: For Marie, even when we were filming late at night and everyone was tired, she had a fun aura surrounding her.
Kaku: Her jokes were amazing. We listened to these awkward jokes as we continued to perform at other sites.
Murakami: My nickname became "Mood Breaker."
Watanabe: Eh? This is my first time hearing that!
Murakami: Are you a liar?
Watanabe: That's a really straightforward insult! (laughs).
Murakami: Ahahahaha.
Sakai: The usual pattern is that Marie suddenly says something strange and everyone laughs.
Murakami: At first, I thought, "I have to do this properly," but halfway through I gave up (laughs).
Hirakawa: No, you gave up early on.
Murakami: Ehehe (laughs).
Kaku: For Masashi, he tried his best in the beginning to join in, but soon the two of us started speaking nonsense in our dressing room.
Ikeda: Conversations where you turn off your brain.
Kaku: That's it (laughs).
Watanabe: Definitely, when I passed by Masashi's dressing room, I often heard his voice from inside.
Ikeda: I have a loud voice!
Watanabe: Not a single sound came from the dressing room me and Taisei shared (laughs).
Sakai: You two seemed to be having fun.
Murakami: Yuzuyan is the youngest of the members, but she's like an "older sister" in some ways.
Ikeda: Yeah, she has the image of a caring person.
Kaku: Still, you're the youngest in your family, right?
Hirakawa: Yes!
Watanabe: It's fine now, but when we first met, she wouldn't even look me in the eyes (laughs).
Hirakawa: I'm a shy person, but I usually talk alot to hide my shyness. However, I was really nervous at the beginning of King-Oher (bitter smile).
Watanabe: And now, you're a lively person!
Sakai: I'm also from Kyushu, so I felt a sense of familiarity from the beginning. That's why I don't think you had any major changes from beginning to end, right?
Hirakawa: But, at some point, I started speaking with a dialect.
Sakai: Ah, that's right.
Murakami: Yuzuyan gave her all from the beginning.
Hirakawa: That's because Kaku-san, the oldest of our group, affectionately embraced all of us.
Kaku: Yeah! Say more of that!
Ikeda: Because of that, there was an atmosphere on the set where we could talk about anything.
Sakai: He really brought the five of us together.
Kaku: That makes me happy! Thank you (laughs).
Murakami: How cute~
Kaku: No, this is seriously embarrassing.
Hirakawa: (to Watanabe) Aren't you in charge of being cute?
Watanabe: (laughs).
Kaku: Conversely, I was saved by everyone's good character. That's why I wanted to support everyone. I've always felt that way.
-Feelings I want to share with everyone now-
Kaku: If we were to take this opportunity to say a few words to everyone, I'd first start with Masashi. Thanks for always messing around with me!
Watanabe: I hope Masashi will continue to do well with his friendliness.
Sakai: I want to work together again with you even after this job ends!
Hirakawa: I really appreciate the way you always looked out for everyone during filming.
Murakami: When we all go out together, he takes the initiative to invite us. Thank you for creating so many memories.
Ikeda: Eh! I'm so happy! Marie has always been cheerful, and I hope she continues to do her best with her cheerful and beloved character!
Murakami: Yeah! I'll do my best!
Watanabe: I hope you keep that smile on your face.
Sakai: She has the kind of character that I wish I had as a childhood friend or something. You always had a smile on your face and brightened up the set.
Kaku: For her performance, in the Hymeno episode (episode 36), Hymeno, who was being impersonated by Kamejim, was really interesting. I'd like to see a performance like that in a different production.
Hirakawa: Marie has always supported me with her "harmonizing" spirit. On the other hand, from now on, I hope to be able to help her as much as possible.
Murakami: Yuzuyan is the one who has always been there for me. I think that's her strength, and I hope she continues to be there for many people.
Hirakawa: Of course! Thank you.
Kaku: Despite being the youngest, she was the hardest worker in our group. During the idol episode (episode 38), even though she was having a hard time during filming, she simply said, "I have to practice tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, and then the day after the day after tomorrow I have a costume fitting." That's what gave me courage and energy.
Watanabe: She was more aware of her surroundings than anyone else. You helped me there too.
Sakai: That's right. When I was alittle out of the loop, she'd casually come over to me.
Watanabe: I'd say it's okay to think for yourself from now on.
Ikeda: Right, take care of yourself more.
Watanabe: Be selfish.
Hirakawa: Well then, I guess my goal is to be Hymeno (laughs)
Murakami: For Kaku-san, when the time came, he'd show off his "dependable big brother" nature.
Ikeda: He's got a heart as generous as the universe itself.
Hirakawa: I asked Kaku-san for alot of advice during filming, and he always listened to everything. I'm sure I'll be asking him for advice again in the future.
Kaku: Please do, please do!
Watanabe: When I got heated, he'd calmly give me advice from an adult's point of view. I also got alot of advice from him.
Sakai: I'm not the type of person who can talk to others about things, but there were times when Kaku-san sensed that I was at a loss and approached me. That made me really happy.
Kaku: I was alittle worried that you'd all think, "How annoying" (laughs).
Murakami: Aoto seemed like he was laid back, but even when times were tough or difficult, he always made it a point to help liven up the mood.
Ikeda: Usually, Nabe-chan and I notice the same things. We'd both go, "Hmm?"
Watanabe: That's true! (laughs).
Ikeda: That made me happy.
Kaku: Also, he had a super funny and cute character. He made me laugh so much.
Hirakawa: In the beginning, I wasn't the type to talk much, but I was happy to open up to Aoto!
Sakai, Murakami, Kaku & Ikeda: Right?!
Watanabe: No, I think I opened up first.
Hirakawa: We opened up to each other. At first, I thought we'd never get along (laughs).
Watanabe: Eeeh~?
Hirakawa: I kept watching you from different angles, and then you spoke up unexpectedly. I spoke up too.
Ikeda: Such words! (laughs). (*she used alot of onomatopoeia)
Sakai: Aoto and I are the only ones who are the same age.
Ikeda: That's true
Sakai: Especially in the pilot (episodes 1-5), I still wasn't used to things, but I was really inspired by Aoto's good acting.
Watanabe: No, on the contrary, I was focused on Taisei.
Murakami: Taisei had a huge burden on his shoulders as the main character, and it must've been extremely difficult for him, but I thought it was really amazing that he didn't come off that way at all.
Ikeda: Yeah, I definitely respect that.
Hirakawa: You must've had a much harder year than us. Still, you never said "It's tough" or, "I'm tired" at all.
Sakai: No, there were times when it was tough.
Hirakawa: It's amazing that you never showed it.
Kaku: Taisei had alot of trial and error in the beginning, but halfway through, I learned alot from him, including how to switch between emotions and how to act. What'll happen when you play a different role in the future? Right now, I'm very excited about Taisei, and wonder what kind of actor he'll become in the future.
Murakami: After all, he's the "leader."
Ikeda: Thank you for being the leader of King-Ohger!
Sakai: Same here, thank you everyone!
Murakami: Even after this job ends, I want to see you all again.
Watanabe, Hirakawa, Kaku & Ikeda: We'll definitely get together again!

Retainer Cast Special Comments From the cast members who fulfilled their roles as competent followers, supporting the kings of each country, their comments have arrived.
Morioka Yutaka (Douga) Profile: A strong retainer who served as part of the entourage for Racules. After that, he went job hunting in the other countries but wasn't hired, so he became the retainer for the next king, Gira, and protected the country.
"Please tell us what you respect about Douga."
Morioka: He's someone who values etiquette, does his absolute best in everything he does, and lives his life honestly through his own convictions. He has a strong will that allows him to sincerely offer advice to his king, but I also like the fact that there's a part of him that's somewhat out of the ordinary and we get a glimpse into his cute side.
"What are your impressions of Gira and Racules (including Sakai Taisei and Masato Yano), and were there any memorable moments during filming?"
Morioka: I think that both of them have a perfect link between their own personalities and those of the roles they played. Sakai Husty-sama is kind to everyone, and his natural side that's visible in his hard work is endearing, which makes me smile when I see him on set. Yano Husty-sama built his performance with great delicacy and precision. He truly is Racules. Their appearance have a certain "aura" that allows me to be their retainer without forcing myself to be aware of it.
"Give a message to the character you played!"
Morioka: Douga, you must be exhausted from the many things you had to do to support your country and family…..Sometimes, it's good to spend time relaxing and not think about anything.
"What was your most memorable moment in King-Ohger?"
Morioka: It'd be episode 21, the episode where Douga's job hunting. I have fond memories of the staff working together to support me to the best of their ability, even in the silliest scenes, including the wonderfully strange costumes and props as I traveled around each country. Then, after the short but intense performances with the other retainers of each country, there was the serious last scene with Gira-san. It was great and I'm truly grateful.
"A message to all the retainer members of the other countries!"
Morioka: Shiokara, don't address the kings with "you." Sebastian, despite your appearance, I'm in awe of your physical ability. Kuroda, I'd like to learn from you your excellent fighting skills. Morphonia, you should try to be alittle more motivated everyday. (*form of "you" meaning you're inferior to the speaker)
"Please give a message to the fans of King-Ohger."
Morioka: This was my first time participating in the Super Sentai series, and I was surprised and moved by the amount of energy and love shown by all the tokusatsu fans, and I was able to make it through this because of everyone's support. I can only express my gratitude. Your words on SNS and other sites have been well received. Please continue to love King-Ohger!
Chiwata Yuhei (Shiokara) Profile: When they first met, he saw Yanma as a yankii with a bossy attitude, but admired him after learning of his manly spirit. After that, as Yanma became king of N'kosopa, he became his retainer.
"Please tell us what you respect about Shiokara."
Chiwata: There's alot, but the most important would be his charm. You could call it junior colleague energy, but I think he's good at building relationships and closing the distance with people. I was never good at such things, but as I got older, I began to realize the importance of it and started to practice, and little by little, my weakness turned into my strength. However, I'm still not as good as Shiokara-kun, so I'd like to use him as a reference (laughs).
"What are your impressions of Yanma (including Watanabe Aoto), and were there any memorable moments during filming?"
Chiwata: I feel that Yanma is a character whose emotional growth was depicted throughout all the episodes. I think it's cool that he's able to calmly, sometimes violently, confront everything that happens to him, and then use what he learns from it to take the next steps in his life. I think this is also due to Aoto's acting ability, so Yanma and Aoto are one and the same! The most memorable moment was in episode 10. I still vividly remember thinking that the way he created the atmosphere of the scene was wonderful, just like Aoto.
"Give a message to the character you played!"
Chiwata: Thank you so much for your hard work! Keep up with the most coolest Yanma-kun and follow him wherever he goes!
"What was your most memorable moment in King-Ohger?"
Chiwata: It's episode 35. I was very happy that Shiokara's character, which had been built up, was given depth, and that his past of being very different was depicted. It was a really hot development, and as an actor, there were many scenes that required alot of passion, so even preparing for it was fun. Until the actual performance, I would read the script everyday and think, "How would Aoto react if I did this?" Normally, I don't discuss the scripts with Aoto, so imagining it was part of the fun. What's more, we wouldn't know the title of an episode until the week before it aired, so when I saw the title, "Don't Cry Slack Jawed Tanuki," I was moved. The last bit of the episode was a perfect fit. Furthermore, I was overwhelmed with emotion when I heard that it was (screenwriter) Takano Minato-san who came up with the idea. I was also very happy that this episode won a special award at the "Toei Tokusatsu Fan Awards 2023."
"A message to all the retainer members of the other countries!"
Chiwata: Originally, I don't think the Super Sentai series featured so many sub characters. This is because there are already six members making up the main cast. However, I think the reason why the retainers have become so beloved is due to the fact that we all played appealing characters, and continued to support the main cast, who played the kings, in different ways in each country. This resulted in the popularity of "retainers". And for that, I'm grateful. Thank you so much!
"Please give a message to the fans of King-Ohger."
Chiwata: First off, thank you so much for sticking with us for the past year. I still think about how fortunate I am to have been involved in this production in the long history of the Super Sentai series. It was a great experience for me to see everyone's excitement online every week, and to then go to the set feeling like I was carrying everyone's voice with me as I performed. In this show, each character stands out, and I've seen the characters moving freely in everyone's minds through fanart, and I feel that this was a production that has been truly loved by everyone. There were alot of things that made me feel like, "Ah! I see, I definitely think Shiokara would say that! I think I'll do it! I want to play Shiokara like this!," and they were alot of fun to see. I also felt a real love for the people who participated as extras and prepared costumes for the different countries. Thank you so much. The Super Sentai series is revised every year, but I hope that King-Ohger will remain in your hearts forever. And, for those of you who are children now, I'd like you to go back and watch it again when you grow up. I'm sure you'll see it differently. Until then, let's meet again soon!
Yoshimitsu Hiroto (Sebastian) Profile: His real name is Romane Dearborn (aged 25). Under orders from Hymeno, he was given a "butler looking" elderly appearance through special makeup, and changed his name to "Sebastian" when he became Hymeno's retainer.
"Please tell us what you respect about Sebastian."
Yoshimitsu: I think that Sebastian's willingness to fulfill any of Hymeno-sama's selfish requests is worthy of respect. Sebastian's life was saved by Hymeno-sama, so he must be absolutely obedient to her orders. Well~ I think Sebastian understands the kindness and compassion that goes beyond Hymeno-sama's selfishness.
"What are your impressions of Hymeno (including Murakami Erica), and were there any memorable moments during filming?"
Yoshimitsu: I think that Murakami Erica-san is an impeccable young lady. There are no complaints when it comes to her appearance. She's bright and has a great personality! In addition, she's positive. Even when she's depressed because the performance isn't going as well as she'd like, she doesn't let it get her down, saying, "I've gained this experience, so I can use it in the next performance." In the first place, I don't have time to hold back (laughs). She had a hard time sitting down on set. When I asked her to "sit down," she replied, "Because all the extras are standing, I can't sit," which shows just how considerate she is. She's a really good kid!!
"Give a message to the character you played!"
Yoshimitsu: When playing Sebastian, my hair is slicked back, I wear glasses, and I have a mustache. His appearance is balanced by the fact that he wears a tailcoat, but while in casual clothes, with his "slicked back hair, glasses, and mustache," wouldn't he stand out? On the train ride home from the set, there wouldn't be that many people who'd sit next to me, right? (laughs). Well, that's because I did ride the train looking like that.
"What was your most memorable moment in King-Ohger?"
Yoshimitsu: Was it episode 25 with the 20 person combination? If I'm remembering right, I rode in God Scopion. It was a fresh new experience for me, both the cockpit and the controls. Also, episode 36, where Romane Dearborn appears, personally left a deep impression on me. It was Sebastian with his special makeup removed. We find out how the super handsome Romane Dearborn ended up in the special makeup, and why he serves Hymeno-sama as a butler who changed his name to "Sebastian"……It's my favorite episodes because it depicts the bond between Hymeno-sama and Sebastian.
"A message to all the retainer members of the other countries!"
Yoshimitsu: To all the retainers, thank you so much for getting along with me. Douga-san and Boshimar-san are relatively closer in age with me, so when filming ended in the evening, we used to go out and drink alot. Morphonia-chan was my partner who liked to talk with me alot about old man stuff. I also talked to Shiokara-kun and Kuroda-kun about various things. From now on, please continue to support Sebastian!
"Please give a message to the fans of King-Ohger."
Yoshimitsu: Thank you very much for your support of King-Ohger over the past year. No matter how interesting a show is, it's not complete unless everyone watches it. This time, King-Ohger has been seen by so many people, and I think everyone involved in this production feels happy. If it remains in your heart and you remember it someday, King-Ohger will live on forever!! Thank you so much.
Hasegawa Kasumi (Morphonia) Profile: She's Rita's retainer and candidate to ascend to the throne as Gokkan's king. While she has a lazy personality, she's always concerned about Rita and never gives up on her work despite complaining.
"Please tell us what you respect about Morphonia."
Hasegawa: Even though she complained about it, no matter how difficult the environment or situation was, she was able to do her job. And, she never gave up on communicating with Rita. If it were me, I would've given up halfway (laughs). I also respect her quick thinking and ability to look ahead. She's a surprisingly capable kid (laughs).
"What are your impressions of Rita (including Hirakawa Yuzuki), and were there any memorable moments during filming?"
Hasegawa: I think Rita was and still is an interesting person. It's great that we're able to see them in many different situations, with the self they show on the outside and the real them. They're pure in a good way. When I first met Yuzuchin, I thought, "Waaah! It's Rita!! Rita's appeared!!" (laughs). When you talk to her, she's even friendlier, kinder, and more dependable than Rita. My partner. Also, I guess our most memorable moment was……the kabedon. I couldn't stop laughing (laughs).
"Give a message to the character you played!"
Hasegawa: When Chikyu is at peace, please relax and enjoy eating oranges under a kotatsu. Make sure to apply for paid vacations and eat lots of delicious food. Also, please continue to support Rita.
"What was your most memorable moment in King-Ohger?"
Hasegawa: It's episodes 10, 25, 38, and 45. I was impressed by the gradual deepening of her relationship with Rita. While reading the scripts, I felt that the way Rita and Morphonia relationship grew closer was very endearing. I remember that even when I was actually performing, there was a warm feeling within me. And the more we filmed these scenes, the more I came to love Rita.
"A message to all the retainer members of the other countries!"
Hasegawa: Douga-san, We look forward to welcoming your career change at Gokkan any time. Boshimar-san, I've had almost no interactions with the real Boshimar-san, so let's meet in Hakabaka if you get a chance. When the opportunity arises of course. Shiokara, I've been curious about this for awhile now, but what's up with your curly bang? Sebastian, you've been a great help to my Rita. Thanks for your continued support. Kuroda-san, next time, please treat me to some delicious food. Gerojim, you're alittle bigger than the others, so please consider your range when moving. That tail will hit you.
"Please give a message to the fans of King-Ohger."
Hasegawa: Thank you for supporting King-Ohger up to this point! Even though there were many strong "personalities" among the kings, they were able to reach the same goal in the end. Through this production, I also learned the strength of valuing one's own individuality and respecting the individuality of others. I hope that King-Ohger, which was created by many people including myself, will remain in everyone's memories. And with that, see you later!!
Kanzaki Hajime (Kuroda's Actor) Profile: A male kuroko who serves as the retainer to Toufu's king, Kaguragi. Although his face isn't shown, his movements are gorgeous and he's got a very nice voice.
"Please tell us what you respect about Kuroda."
Kanzaki: It's possible that he's known Kaguragi for a long time, but since becoming his retainer, he's kept the "king and retainer" relationship, and has been thinking and acting in accordance to his position as a kuroko. He's sometimes missing, but he has a cute side. And, he has a nice voice (thanks to Toriumi Kosuke-san!).
"What are your impressions of Kaguragi (including Kaku So), and were there any memorable moments during filming?"
Kanzaki: He's big! Of course, he's also tall, but his muscle mass and costume makes him look even bigger. In his spare time, he does muscle training with Masato Yano-san and others, and he'll work on his shoulders using a folding chair, so he's definitely stoic! Other than that, when the Director gave me the "OK" for a take in the film where I use a trampoline as Kuroda, he was happy and said, "You did it!" He's a magnificent man, not only with his body but also with his kind heart, it's as if he's Toufu's mother nature!
"Give a message to the character you played!"
Kanzaki: I read somewhere that originally there was no role for "Kuroda," but I started speaking lines along the way, and I'm grateful for this blessed year. Once the matter with the Uchu King has been settled, please take a good rest.
"What was your most memorable moment in King-Ohger?"
Kanzaki: It's episode 9, where I spoke as Kuroda for the first time. It was also fun to mess around with the other retainers! As for Toufu, it would be episode 37. It was like a Taiga Drama that condensed Kaguragi's past, which had been told little by little in the main story and the film into this one episode, and I was relieved that abit of Kuroda's past was also revealed.
"A message to all the retainer members of the other countries!"
Kanzaki: Boshimar-sama (Fukuzawa Jubun), I have fond memories of being mistaken for (Masato) Tsutamune-san when I first met him (laughs). He has a strong passion for acting, and I learned alot from him. I got goosebumps when I played the role of a soldier against him! Douga-sama (Morioka Yutaka), It was great that you got to play the role of a handsome old man with a family. On the other hand, when you were being interviewed in various countries, you were really funny and your actions were cool! Your style is good! Shiokara-sama (Chiwata Yuhei), He was always thinking stoically and calmly about how to make the viewers happy, which was a great inspiration! His style is good! Sebastian (Yoshimitsu Hiroto): Thank you so much for talking to me in your spare time and for thinking about a bunch of ideas for the flow of the performance on set! It's a pity that you couldn't do a backflip……If the opportunity arises, let's film it! Morphonia-sama (Hasegawa Kasumi), She had a "floaty" vibe, but she knew what was expected of her and was very stoic on the inside. It was wonderful to see her naturally embody what a senior colleague once told me, "Create fans among the staff." It's a pity that she couldn't do a back handspring……please do it if the opportunity arises! Gerojim-sama (Saitou Kenya, Suit Actor), With Gerojim's arrival, the retainer team became even more lively. The delicate acting that linked Seki Tomokazu-san's voice with his large body was wonderful! It's a pity that you couldn't perform a reverse somersault……If the opportunity arises… (laughs).
"Please give a message to the fans of King-Ohger."
Kanzaki: Everyone, thank you so much for supporting King-Ohger. It was a very meaningful year for me, as I was able to see the scenes in a different way than usual in the Action Club, I was able to appear on TikTok while rubbing shoulders with talented performers, and I was able to become part of the merchandise. Thank you so much for your letters and presents as well! I'll study so that I won't have any trouble when Kuroda appears again, thank you for your continued support!
Seki Tomokazu (Gerojim's VA) Profile: He's a Kaijim equipped with mayfly BNA and can mimic the appearance of humans by applying light refraction. He's currently working with Jeramie, who has become the king of the Bugnarak.
"Please tell us what you respect about Gerojim."
Seki: Ultimately, I think it's his unwavering faith. Even when he's lost, troubled, or frustrated, in the end, he tries to follow through with his beliefs. I respect his heart and attitude, which is like a blue flame, quiet but never extinguished.
"What are your impressions of Jeramie, and during recording, were there any episodes with memorable moments?"
Seki: First of all, I'm disappointed that I didn't get to work with Ikeda Masashi-san, who played Jeramie, even once during recording. When I saw Jeramie's performance during the broadcasts, I felt that his soft demeanor, intelligence, and his somewhat lonely appearance were all wonderful. I'd like to directly talk with him in person someday!
"Give a message to the character you played!"
Seki: I'm so glad you found a nice place to belong. I hope you'll feel safe and secure at Jeramie's side for all eternity.
"What was your most memorable moment in King-Ohger?"
Seki: That we were all able to ride the Shugods with the kings! I've ridden in Robo's as an enemy in previous productions, but I think the opportunity to ride a Robo in the Super Sentai series is very valuable! Even though it was just my voice, it was great to feel like I was in the fight with them!
"Please give a message to the fans of King-Ohger."
Seki: This year has flown by! I'm sure that everyone else feels the same way. However, I believe that the story will continue! Please continue to support King-Ohger, and let's see where we end up, together!

When fans ship you with another member
‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾ Heeseung
(fans ship you with Sunoo)
"Y/n, what's this?". Heeseung approaches you holding his phone, with a confused gaze. He shows you a fanart portraying a pink haired Sunoo giving you a back hug. You just laugh at it, convinced that it's just a fanart with no harmful intentions. "It's pretty" you say laughing, but Heeseung doesn't smile back. "What's wrong?" you ask him as you see him being upset. "I don't like the fact that you're being shipped with someone else" he speaks. You roll your eyes back and take his hand. "You literally avoid me when the cameras are on" you say laughing.
‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾ Jay
(fans ship you with Sunghoon)
Jay spends way too much time reading fics about him on Wattpad but then a specific one catches his attentions. It's a fanfiction about you and Sunghoon, which drives him crazy. He will eventually tell you about that and you would just laugh. "Me and Sunghoon, that's crazy..." you say laughing, but Jay isn't. "Can I write a comment saying that I'm your actual boyfriend and ask them to stop dreaming?" he says. He doesn't like the idea of the fans seeing you being romantically with someone who is not him.
‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾ Jake
(fans ship you with Niki)
I think Jake is used to the "y/n x niki" edits on pinterest, YouTube, tiktoks and so on, so at first, he wouldn't really mind them. "Let them dream" he would say, but it bothers him. He wants you to be shipped with him so much that your ship would be the most famous and obvious. I can clearly see him pushing niki away whenever you make eye contact with him so that there won't be edits.
‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾ Sunghoon
(fans ship you with Jungwon)
Sunghoon will tell you things like "I don't care", "that's edited" and so on, but then he's putting a dislike on every YouTube video with the compilations of you and Jungwon interacting. He would eventually write VERY long texts to the fan pages on instagram asking them to kindly stop making edits and videos about you and Jungwon. When you eventually find out about this, you'd ask him if that's true. "that was not me, that was a y/n x Jake shipper" he would say (and ofc you won't believe him).
‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾ Sunoo
(fans ship you with Jay)
Sunoo is running a fan page for himself and when he casually posts a pic of you and him together, he's receiving a dm from another fan page which annoyed him. "how can you ship y/n and sunoo when y/n and Jay are so obvious". Sunoo read the message and started to type aggressively without saying a word. "What's happening?" you'd ask him. "im arguing with a stranger because they dont understand that our ship is superior"
‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾ Jungwon
(fans ship you with Jake)
Just like Sunghoon, I think Jungwon would only say "It's okay, I don't care" in front of you, he's looking at the edits and at the y/n x Jake moments with a disgusted and judging face. So if he can't defeat the ship, he'll open an y/n x Jungwon fan page to defeat the shippers. He'll eventually post pics of you two that weren't released, so when people ask him where did he find the pics, he'd just say "if you had bought the enhypen membership you'd know".
‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾ Niki
(fans ship you with Heeseung)
Since when Niki saw that "Your body language speaks to me" edit with you and Heeseung making an heart in a group photo, he lost his shit. He's gatekeeping you during all the recordings and if he sees a member approaching you, he's placing himself between the two of you. He's making sure that the "y/n x niki" ship is the most famous one among enhypen's, releasing vlogs, photos and even covers with you.

LAST TIME ON POWER RANGERS: Ranger Slayer got herself captured by Dark Specter's forces while saving Drakkon's ass. BUT Drakkon makes up for it by saving HER ass from Dark Specter's corruption. BUT, he died in the process. So that means Slayer now has to save everyone's ass. Again. Seriously, this is like the third event where Slayer has to save everyone.
it's Power Rangers Unlimited: The Morphin Masters!
Tumblr media
= so Drakkon and Slayer training together is canon, okay cool, book over, I got what I need
Tumblr media
= But moving on from that these panels specifically make me crazyyyyy because what do you mean Tommy and Kim together means "happy ending"? What do you mean referring to Kim as Tommy's guardian angel? What do you MEAN redrawing Drakkon's death scene as more intimate than it was in 116????????
Tumblr media
= MY STUPID EX-HUSBAND DIED ON ME SO I HAVE TO GO ON THIS STUPID QUEST
Tumblr media
= So something cool about these energy beasts - they're all tied to ranger powers! A yellow bear, a red lion and ape, a gold praying mantis, a white rhino, and an orange scorpion. Sure, the latter wasn't TECHNICALLY a ranger power, just a zord, but there's a point to the "the PR universe did have Kyurangers at some point" theorists
Tumblr media
= I just like this panel because it's silly. she's got the zoomies
Tumblr media Tumblr media
= Slayer continuing to win the idgaf war against literal deities
Tumblr media
= and then they founded an animation studio that gave us the Minions. so unfortunately they gotta go
= but in seriousness, I guess this is how we're going to rationalize how the MMs were portrayed in Beyond the Grid versus how they were portrayed in Power Rangers Universe - the BtG guys were a couple specific higher-power ones. It's fine, I guess. I'm still not a fan of the idea of an entire civilization just calling themselves Morphin Masters, though. Just make.....THESE GUYS the Morphin Masters. Why are they ALL the Morphin Masters??????? Now we have to establish a SUB-SECTION of the Morphin Masters!!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
= Slayer holding Drakkon and his death in high regard like this.......god. god.
Tumblr media
= oh hi Blue really cool to see you again hope you don't die in the next few pages
Tumblr media
= oh well never mind. Guess we're never going to find out why they came back to life, which was their reason for going into the Grid in the first place, huh
= I do like how we're going back to referring to Blue with they/them pronouns. I guess in hindsight we really were just misgendering them for years. awesome
Tumblr media
= I'm glad we're fully acknowledging all the shit Slayer has gone through but I will admit my immediate reaction to the "it was fire" line was "she would not fucking say that". Maybe as a teen, sure. But NOW?
Tumblr media
Pink: follow me to the orifice
Slayer: .....the ORIFICE?
Tumblr media
= oh hey guys, how have you been since you got retconned into existence and therefore have accomplished nothing in the main series
Tumblr media
= I know this is supposed to be a whole thing of "ohhhh these guys think they're free but they're still being controlled yada yada" but at the same time as someone who hated the Emissary retcon and wishes that we could have gotten more from the characters as they were before........them being angry over losing what they had is very very good and I wish it wasn't done through "evil corruption magic." It was good with corrupted Slayer because they dedicated an entire issue to it and FREED HER at the end, allowing more time and space for development; here it's just a quick fight scene and in the case of Blue, followed up with death. And slight spoilers here, even if they don't die here, the way the Emissaries have been dropping like flies doesn't give me much hope for their survival if they show up in the main series
Tumblr media
= I wonder if this is a reference to how in an early draft for the Ranger Slayer one-shot, the Bow of Darkness was going to be broken in half by Zombie Rita and Slayer would have used it as dual swords. Either way it's fucking cool
= also while the inclusion of Dino Thunder as one of Pink's forms is a simple mistake, it takes me back to those old DT AU fics where Kim became DT Pink. They're canon now guys, no takebacks!
Tumblr media
= So turns out the "Illumination" are just a bunch of senile grandpas. Yeah, that's.............the big revelation for where the Morphin Masters have been. ok
= Now let me just say for this story, the Morphin Masters being useless is a fine decision, for the same reason why the Morphin Masters were useless in Dino/Cosmic Fury - you can't have these overpowered god figures show up and fix everything with a wave of their hand. This applies to every story ever - the god-like figure is captured, or dead, or simply doesn't care enough to interfere. It's a very basic and logical choice for a narrative in order for our actual grounded protagonists to be the heroes.
HOWEVER. It's another instance of Boom hyping up these kinds of storylines as groundbreaking revelations of PR's mythos for years just for the actual reveal to be kind of a letdown. Phantom Ranger's identity. Dark Specter being a major villain. The Squadron Rangers. And now the Morphin Masters' current status. All hyped-up concepts that either get rushed or end up secondary to other concepts, and in the end, don't feel like they matter. It's getting to be a bit tiresome, and I'm saying that as someone who doesn't hold PR lore high on her list of reasons I enjoy the franchise in the first place. And it doesn't help here that, as I've said before, it just feels more like a way to stretch out this event to fill its year-long timeframe. By the end of this book, nothing was accomplished except two more Emissaries are dead (not that they did anything before this) and I guess Green and Black will eventually join the fight, so what was the point of it all. Slayer never really believed the Morphin Masters would help them anyway, so it's not like she changed by the end either - Pink was the only one who really developed as a character, and, well......
Tumblr media
= Pink quick eat an imaginary Snickers you're not you when you're hungry
Tumblr media
= this is the third person Slayer has killed in two books. she's so good at her job
= also you may have noticed that we've killed two Emissaries and they're not turning to stone nor having a giant spider boi burst out of their bodies. It's soooooooooooo cool how that entire story arc meant nothing in the long run
Tumblr media Tumblr media
= ugh yes queen swear off religion just like that
= also at this point Drakkon has wielded the power of a Morphin Master and Slayer was offered the position of one. What I'm getting at here is Tomberly are indeed divine figures

grimmichigrimmichigrimmichi >:3333 (pairing meme)
heheh okay- so shiP IT ofc 😂 .. but here's the answers;
What made you ship it?
so... I have a very specific list of qualities I look for when it comes to my favorite male characters. And Grimmjow fit them all 😂💕
When I first watched Bleach the only thing I shipped was IchiRuki, bc naturally that was the only way to go for me tbh, but then Grimm appeared and I was obsessed. When it comes to otps for me, first I find a fave character, then I consider the possible pairings. Not any other way. And with Grimmjow... well the only option for me was Ichigo tbh.
Not to discredit any other Grimmjow ships, I've done a few of them myself, but with how passionately these two throw themselves at each other I truly couldn't look any other way. Lol
So tldr; Grimmjow's got slut potential and I dig that, and they're too into each other for me not to see "gay" plastered all over them 💫
2. What are your favorite things about the ship?
Hmmm 🤔maybe how inherently feral it is, canon-wise. Also how harmonious their overall designs are together, there's nothing nicer than a pair that looks good together, at least as an artist. Also how easy they are (for me at least) to write/draw; I have a hard time focusing on one thing for long enough to get good at things (hence the many AUs lol!) so for me to have a ship I draw constantly for more than four years now... is truly astounding lmao. They helped me grow soooo much so they hold a dear dear place in my heart just bc of that alone.
And because of that last one: how easy it is to apply AUs to themmmm ;w;<33333 I can legit think of anything and make an AU out of it and not struggle too much to find the perfect place for them in it.
And also,, sort of fave sort of least fave- that it's not an overly popular ship in general (ik it's popular in the Bleach fandom itself, but rather; not popular like a ship from BNHA or JJK). Why; bc I get to have my quiet space where I draw all the ideas I want and yet have had verY few people throw insults at me for some of my darker stuff 😂 Bigger fandoms I've interacted with (as a viewer mostly) have had issues popping up left and right, people getting upset over dumb shit and letting that grow to huge proportions, "antis" everywhere... yeahhhh no thanks 😖
but also-- it gets verY quiet at times specially for someone who's so picky. Like, if I could find a fandom space like the exclusive bottom Bakugo enthusiasts I followed on twt (and even bought a whole zine about) but for GriMMJOW??? WOOF😭💕 so yeah,,, love-hate situation on this last bit lmaooo
3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
A few 😂😭 everyone who's followed my art for a certain amount of time can probs tell how the 'tism really affects how I enjoy ships lmaoooo I have to enjoy them a very specific certain way so... that means I don't partake at all on a good few of the popular tropes for the ship. Some I can think of rn; damsel-in-distress!Ichigo, overly hurtful!Grimm (although this one is more old fandom I think 🤔? I remember, in a lot of fics back then, Grimmjow was portrayed a lot as this violent rapist adgdfddfdff not for me lmaoo), ofc top!Grimm, Grimmjow acting all macho relationship wise, and too much angst (I think this ship (and Ichigo in general lets be honest) can call for a lot of angst in fic so I totally get it- but ...meh, if it's not romaticized/sexualized angst, idc for it adgdfgf I don't like it when they actually suffer 😭)
OOH OH! ALSO --- making them OOC in AUs CAN be great actually (to me at least). I know a lot of people (not just here, but in any ship/fandom/etc) don't love OOC characterizations of their fave characters/ships (hence why it's a tag we use tbh) but I personally love that at times??? I won't do it all the time and all over the place... but AUs where there's space to make Grimm less violent? or Ichigo less friendly/loving??? While still within their canon character potentials--- hecC yes. >:)ccc
Also ofc; that I wish it was still common to tag ships as top-bottom like it is with HoEn/EnHo (bnha), VK/KV /trigun, KRBK/BKKR (bnha) etc or at least tag it some other way along the ship.... it would be sO much easier to filter out stuff i don't want to see instead of having to mute/block a whole person I would still love to see stuff from.
BuT I am aware most have no preference whatsoever lmaO so... yeah nothing I can do there except not follow people pfFFF 😂😭 (and wait until I find peeps with similar tastes aasdfs)

Listen, what do you think about how the fandom perceives Ronan? This may be a strange question, but I saw post here about how Thrawn is an ambiguous character, he does both good and bad things, he is not an innocent kitten, etc. And I completely agree with this. But it seems to me that in relation to Ronan, the opposite situation very often manifests itself. If Thrawn is sometimes too idealized by the fandom, although he is a more complex person, then Ronan often appears as some kind of universal evil in posts and fanfiction. And…I don't know, it just doesn't seem right to me. He has a adverse nature, that's true, and his loyalty to Krennic sometimes pushes him to do not the best things, but there are enough moments in the canon that show his good traits too. At least he is really loyal man and not as stupid as he might seem. I just saw your post recently where you talked about him, so I was interested to ask your opinion!
Thank you for your attention and sorry if I disturbed you :c
please don't apologize, I love asks like this!!! If anything I should probably apologize because this is about to become ridiculously long :D I really like Ronan as a character, he's one of my favorites from Treason. He's entertaining, competent, somewhat churlish and has that posh attitude where you really want to ruffle his feathers to see what he'll do.
Those last two are part of the reason why it's fun to make him the butt of the joke and why the fandom does it so often. But having said that... you're absolutely right. I've also noticed that the fandom tends to be excessively antagonistic towards him (as it is with some other similar characters but more on that later).
And you're right to bring up Thrawn because he's the golden child here, him and Eli, and any character that disagrees with or doesn't like him automatically gets blacklisted. Which is odd to me since Thrawn is supposed to be controversial and Zahn does a good job of portraying that by giving us different characters' perspectives and reasons for liking/disliking him.
Sadly for Ronan he's very unfriendly towards Thrawn and Eli and ends up making a decision that goes against Thrawn's goals which now garners him a lot of hate. An interesting development given that Thrawn himself doesn't begrudge him for it in the books and even trusts him enough to send him to the Chiss. Which honestly means so much coming from Thrawn? It's as close to a stamp of approval as you can get from him, be it of Ronan's trustworthiness or simply his skills.
So if people really hold Thrawn in such high esteem, they shouldn't forget that his own assessment of Ronan was ultimately positive. No matter what role he plans for Ronan to play in the Ascendancy (even if that role is for Ronan to come to specific conclusions he can then take back to the Empire, ie feeding him some kind of information) Thrawn trusts him enough to, again, send him to his own people. People with lost of secrets that make them vulnerable.
And it's honestly a shame because as you say, Ronan has so much going for him as a character. The very idea of someone who's loyal to the Empire while being critical of Palpatine is so cool. It's literally something that can get him killed yet he's ready to face that danger if it means adhering to his principles.
Of course loyalty to the wrong party makes him pretty culpable but regardless, there is a good basis for him to grow as a character. As already mentioned he's loyal, he's competent, he disapproves of Palpatine and all the petty political games that dominate the Empire's higher echelons. He feels guilty for tricking Eli despite believing that he's a traitor. He even comes to respect Thrawn's skills by the end and modifies his answer when reporting to Tarkin so as to ensure Thrawn isn't accused of treason.
So very good foundation to build from. There's still his loyalty to Krennic (who is a pretty damn morally corrupt guy from what I've read) but an overzealous attitude like Ronan's understandably makes him liable to blind idolization so we can't really say for sure that he has a nasty motif for admiring Krennic.
From what Zahn tells us, Ronan seems to admire Krennic for his, quote, leadership, competence and brilliance and he does so to an excessive degree. He sounds pretty starry eyed is what I'm trying to say. Enough to cloud his better judgement perhaps.
Moral or immoral though, he's still a pretty cool character. Which is the same thing you can say about Thrawn. Funnily enough they're almost parallels of each other - Thrawn has honorable end goals that he pursues through corrupt means and Ronan (unwittingly or not) works toward a corrupt end goal but is pretty morally upright in the way he does it.
And come on you can't tell me he doesn't have one of the coolest descriptions (like Savit noting his eyes look older than he does) or some of the coolest inner monologue (like the "half a victory is still half a defeat" line). I also love how he hates politics yet ironically those political mental gymnastics are exactly what he's good at.
But I digress. My point is that you hit the nail on the head when you said the fandom idolizes Thrawn to the point of having a skewed perception.
Another character that I personally like a lot and whose standing in the fandom is very similar is Thurfian. Thurfian doesn't do anything overtly evil in the books and yet he's very often demonized as some kind of villain. Which I bet you is because he's in opposition to Thrawn and other fan favorites like Thalias (something that annoys me because people tend to victimize Thalias so much in their dynamic when she's actually a very brave and resourceful character. Who once held Thurfian at gunpoint might I add).
The thing is, people need to stop the whole pigeonholing characters into 'good' and 'bad' categories. Because especially with Zahn, things are rarely so black and white. Our prejudices as readers can be influenced by both limited and omniscient povs.
In Ronan's case, seeing him from the pov of beloved characters who he opposes is what paints him in an overly negative light. In Thurfian's we forget that these characters don't have the same insight into Thrawn's motives and logic as we do and that Thurfian is perfectly justified in thinking that Thrawn will one day overthink and overplan to the detriment of many. And if those words sound familiar it's because that's what Ar'alani herself says to Thrawn at the end of the book.
But to cut a long story short, I don't think Ronan deserves the hate he's getting. He's a very interesting guy - he's got a good foundation of principles, a quick mind and an amusing personality. Sure, he's prone to extreme bias, both positive (Krennic) and negative (Thrawn, Eli) that can cloud his judgement but barring that he's displayed an impressive amount of competence. Impressive enough to catch Thrawn's eye and we know Thrawn has a good sense for these things.
So basically love Ronan y'all, he's really neat. Even if he's not some paragon for moral goodness which honestly few of Zahn's characters really are.
(Thank you for this ask, I had a lot of fun answering it! If I get my act together, I'll hopefully finish my fic about Ronan where I plan to explore more of his motivations and how he could potentially find a place for himself in the Ascendancy. So fingers crossed for that!)

I can't say I've consumed every piece of abuse-related media out there, but what I have consumed just so often focuses only on the violent, angry, overtly-controlling and obviously-manipulative aspects of abusers, and so rarely on the much more clever (and very common) use of pity and the weaponized illusion of weakness, illusion that the victim is REALLY the one with the power, etc. But, this form of abuse and abuser exists, and it’s extremely powerful. A good example of what I’m talking about is when Girl On Film's video "What the F0K is Labyrinth About" points Jareth's use of vulnerability in the "fear me, love me, do as I say, and I will be your slave" scene and the "your eyes can be so cruel" bit. On face value these seem so romantic and make us feel for him, but the use of vulnerability as a lure to the victim, especially emphasizing the victim's specialness, and trying to make the victim feel as if THEY are the ones hurting the abuser is like...such a real fucking thing abusers do and I so rarely see it in media. It's why the bit early on in "A Dowry of Blood" really stuck out to me where the main narrator says "I knew then I would chase your tiny moments of weakness all the way into hell and back. What is more lovely, after all, than a monster undone by wanting?"And wanting YOU, specifically, the idea YOU are so special and desirable that YOU can undo such a powerful monster. It plays to people’s sympathy and compassion (you feel for them, you don’t want to hurt them, etc) as well as their pride (I am the only one special enough to make a person like this so desperate)
I've seen a million fictional abusers say "you're nothing without me!" and "I'll kill you if you try to leave me!" but I've seldom if ever seen one say "I'm nothing without you" and "I'll die/kill myself if you leave me"....but a damned lot of them do. It's still manipulation through fear, just a fear born from your own compassion instead.
And I’d really like to see more of this in media. Because if we only portray abuse as overt violence and threats against others and berating the victim, we don’t realize that it’s ALSO abuse when someone self-deprecates every time you contradict and confront them so you instead learn never to call them on their behavior, or that they can hold you hostage with threats to THEMSELVES as easily as threats against you or your loved ones. Yes, abusers will make themselves seem larger and more powerful than they are. . .but also smaller and more pathetic as well. Whatever will manipulate you, whatever will make you stay, whatever will make you cow to their behavior. But if we only ever are taught that one form of abuse is abuse, it’s all most people will see abuse as being, and it becomes that much harder to recognize other kinds and leave.
It’s also very validating for those who have been through this to see their experiences reflected and depicted as being what it is—abuse—in media, because it’s very easy in this form to make you question “was that abuse?” and even “was I the abuser?” because of how abusers will frame YOU as the bad guy holding the power over THEM in this form. It can really make you think you’re crazy or an awful person, and seeing something that says “no, this was real, and this was what was happening, and yes you WERE the victim here” is a tremendous thing for folks who have been through that.
And besides that, I just like seeing more than one type of ANYTHING represented in fiction, no matter what it is. I love beagles, but if every dog in every story was a beagle, I’d wanna see some Rotties and shepherds and so on, you know?

You know what I liked most about Azul from your most recent thought? It’s that he’s portrayed with such confidence, such pomposity, you never think twice that he’s rigging everything from the beginning. For roughly 90% of the fic, he’s in so kick control and that’s terrifying.
From that very first interaction at the start, to that stupid bet in the library, Azul has got all the cards in hand. Even if you think there’s a rift between the two of you, no you don’t. He knows how to mix and match vulnerability with strategy and my gosh, it is a sight to behold.
Pathetic Azul is great and all, but one whose mostly in control and will pretend to concede it… I’m thirsty for more.
I do have one thought, though. If darling ever broached the idea of having a beneficial relationship with the twins, would he ever considered it? Darling thought about it once… and I’m pretty sure the twins would love to have fun once in a while.
All in all, wonderful work! It was well worth the wait and in time for the holidays, too.
That’s what is so fun and scary about Azul! He’s a very talented actor and he’s so good at what he does! From the very beginning, you were going to lose. It was only a matter of time. Two months was simply the challenge Azul set for himself in hopes that he’d be able to get you to break the contract terms within those parameters. He knows just what cards to play and when for the most effective outcome. You may think you hold all of this power over him when he whimpers and whines and acts oh-so-pathetic, but the truth is that he’s been in control of the entire situation since the start. He simply directs it on a path befitting his plans.
Azul has had plenty of time to consider a foolproof scheme. He knows exactly what he’s doing when he acts a certain way or says a specific thing. You’re too busy trying to work out what this scheme of his may be, but when he shows you sides of himself that appear genuine (and sometimes are) or vulnerable it chips away at your suspicion. And by doing that, Azul’s able to properly manipulate you to fit in the situation he’s orchestrated.
His overconfidence is what makes him so annoying (and very fun to write) because that sort of ego can quickly get under someone’s skin. While it may make you wary, any sort of suspicion you may harbor quickly vanishes when he goes on about his impeccable memory or observation skills because bragging is more irritating than it is dubious. You’ll forget any hesitations you may have had towards him as things progress because you’ll think you’re getting to know the real Azul, but the real Azul has so many facets—each a card he chooses to play when he thinks the moment is right.
What you think is a whirlwind romance is simply a byproduct of some very potent magic, but you’ll never know that because he’s so charming and sweet. Because he claims to love you (which he does. very much!!), and you’re simply blinded by the results of a potion, unable to truly see his dangers due to the innocent, flowery love you think you share with him. Azul has been cheating the moment he laid eyes on you. He’s assessed who you are as a person, the threats you may pose to him, your strengths and weaknesses, and he’s thought of plenty of ways to manage all of this information so that he can finally have you all to himself. You could never beat him at his game because it’s a game that was set in motion way before you even knew you were a player in it.
As for your question about a beneficial relationship with the twins, I don’t think Azul would be willing to share. He’s been so greedy with you and your time, so he doesn’t want to give any of that up! But a fwb relationship with the twins is something I really want to explore because there are so many interesting dynamics that can be portrayed. Also, a shameless part of me just wants to write eel smut. orz Azul really held back in the recent story, but the tweels would be ruthless in the best of ways.

Ghost (Pathfinder Second Edition Archetype)
Tumblr media
(art by Denny Ibnu on Artstation)
I’ve had mixed feelings about the universal archetype system of Starfinder and Pathfinder Second Edition since it’s inception. On the one hand, having archetypes be available to usually all classes makes for some interesting creativity when it comes to characters. On the other hand, it does mean the death of archetypes that are integrated with the class they are attached to. No more blood elementalist, no more mad scientist alchemist, et cetera. Sure, Starfinder gave us alternate class feature options which preserved some of the old archetype feel, but it’s definitely an end of an era.
Today’s subject, however, I have no mixed feelings about at all. I LOVE this idea, and it makes perfect sense for it to be available to all classes because every character runs the risk of becoming this in the right circumstances. I present to you, the ghost archetype!
The ghost name is not metaphorical here. This archetype is meant specifically for playing a bona fide undead ghost, an unquiet spirit, a tormented soul bound by their desires and unfinished business.
This archetype is one of a series from Second Edition’s Book of the Dead supplement, which in addition to the skeleton ancestry, provide ways to play a balanced undead character by having various abilities associated with that particular type of undead replace class feats as you level up!
Having the powers of a monstrous transformation be part of your class power set is such a good idea, and honestly reminds me a bit of the old savage species book (and also the playable undead monster classes that followed in libris mortis) from 3.5, and it’s kinda shocking that it hasn’t been implemented in more modern games before then. Certainly First Edition had the corruptions, which were fine for portraying a character struggling with their transformation, but this is a whole other beast.
Having the monstrous abilities be tied to level progression also thematically makes sense as the character grows and learns to better understand what they have become and reliably implement those powers.
Additionally, like certain spellcasting archetypes, it is possible to start at level 1 with this archetype, but of course like those you are required to officially take the dedication at 2nd level.
But we’ve gone a long time just describing this particular class of archetype and how neat it is, but we haven’t actually talked about playing as a ghost!
Stuck on the edge of the material and ethereal planes, ghost are disquiet souls that are burdened with desires and emotions, being unable and unwilling to move on, but not tangled up in the darker emotions and traumas that would give rise to other forms of incorporeal undead. Ghosts can tend to have a variety of powers (a selection of which are available in this archetype) related to what it is they want.
Most ghosts are bound to a location, unable to travel too far without losing substance, and many may struggle to be fully cognizant and realize that they are dead. Not so with these ghostly adventurers. Whether by some fluke or the nature of their determination, these spectral beings are not content to wait for the opportunity to be freed to reveal itself, and venture out into the world, albeit barely able to interact with it, and seek to free themselves from that which pains them… or perhaps refuse to move on at all, depending on the person and the nature of what holds them back.
The dedication to the ghost archetype, if you can call it that, reflects the character’s transformation into and undead being. Much like other undead archetypes, they gain the various benefits of being undead, but also are incorporeal, which has it’s advantages and disadvantages, however they also do not immediately gain the ability to pass through objects, fly, or supernatural resistances to damage from being incorporeal. Instead, those abilities are locked behind other feats, similar to how fly speed is limited for certain ancestries that by rights should already be flying. Your GM can choose to allow you to have a fly speed and phasing early, replacing those feats with ones that make them better, though you should probably keep the ghost damage resistance locked behind a feat. Additionally, when you take this archetype, you must choose a location that you are bound to (for the purposes of rejuvenation if you take that feat) and the nature of the business that binds you to the material world. It is possible to fulfill that business and pass on, but you can also choose to resist the pull of the afterlife, finding something new that needs doing or another bit of unresolved business. It’s also worth noting that these ghosts can spend 10 minutes pulling objects into the ethereal plane to make them effectively enchanted with ghost touch, able to interact with both corporeal and incorporeal friends and foes.
Many ghosts can unleash a frightful moan which chills their foes to the bone, weaponizing their anguish against foes.
Many also develop the resistances being bodiless would normally bring as well. However, doing so truly pushes them into an incorporeal state, which brings with it a somewhat more frail spirit.
Plenty further develop their powers to gain greater undead resistances, as well as gain the ability to sometimes move objects by focusing their will into their incorporeal forms, however, doing so always requires focus.
Those ghosts anchored to the ground can also learn to fly for a few moments at a time.
Others learn to properly phase through solid matter, though they must successfully approach them to do so.
Particularly powerful ghosts truly bind themselves to the location they are bound to, becoming able to rejuvenate their if destroyed as a true ghost would. In this way, only passing on or having their soul destroyed can bring a true end to these beings.
The most powerful among them are fully unrestricted by gravity and may fly wherever they wish, and do so faster than before as well.
Perhaps the most dramatic of the undead transformation archetypes, utterly lacking a body, ghost offers lots of defensive and utility abilities, as well as unique challenges. You might be a terrifying all-too-physical warrior, a spectral thief able to get in almost anywhere, or a ghostly mage bringing torment to their foes. You may not get some of the more nasty ghost abilities like possession, but this is still a fun playable option.
The fun part about this particular undead archetype is that it has a built-in personal plot hook. Resolving your final business, or rejecting that pursuit are integral parts of the character. Whether you start the campaign as a ghost or die and the gm gives you the option to use the next level up you would have had to come back, your character has business to attend to which drives them forward. Also, as a final aside, the art for this archetype is that of a ghostly dwarven warrior arising from their old clan dagger, which lays imbedded in the ground, which I think is a quite evocative image.
Despite being dead, Mikos is on borrowed time, the ghostly man must find his murderer and bring him to justice before the duskwalker that is hunting him catches up, for the spirit-hunter has no concern for justice, only that the cycle of life and death be preserved.
Ripped apart far from home by monstrous quoppopaks, beasts that glide over water on jets of pressurized water, Vokus just wants to see his remains returned home. However, he no longer has the body to see even his skull returned home. As such, he secured them as best he could on an island and made the long quest to the shore to ask someone, anyone to help him find rest.
Bound to her favorite music box, which she now carries with her, Lady Alixia of Vennesburg now wanders the world, though she will not say why, only that she is searching for someone. In truth, she seeks her elvish lover who left for unknown lands and never returned, so that she can say one last proclamation of love… to her grave if necessary.

hmmmm more ultra-specific idea time- um can I request Ghiaccio with a boyfriend who's like, impulsively super touchy? Like will back off if asked to or if in a dangerous situation but like will out if nowhere kiss or hug Ghia or will like grab his hands and try to dance with him, etc?
Alright alright, this got my brain cooking, because I like to think Ghiaccio isn’t the touchy type but he’s the touchy type (if that makes sense), and it’s so confusing to portray, but at the same time, I’ll try.
Tumblr media
Weather or not if you’re in front of the gang or by yourselves, he gets flustered by it.
Whether or not if you were physically affectionate before you two started dating, he always gets flustered.
Never ever tries to dismiss you unless if the situation is bad
Like a dangerous mission or something
But in all seriousness, he loves your affection
It’s just hard for him to react
Kiss him? He’s stammering and red. Hug him? Stammering and red again. Spin him around, maybe even tell him how pretty he looks today? He’s so red he looks like a tomato ready to be plucked.
He’s not a good dancer. If you two are by yourselves he gets a tad bit sheepish.
He doesn’t argue with you, but will get loud
He always talk loud
“I can’t dance! Stop trying to make me dance! Why are you so affectionate??!”
He doesn’t mean any harm he’s just being stupid.
If you try and dance an hour later he’ll give in
He really likes when you grab his hands.
Don’t get him wrong, he loves every physically affectionate thing you do to him, it makes him flustered every time!
But holding hands with you does it to him.
It’s so subtle, but so intimate!!!
Whenever he’s mad and you grab his hand and lovingly rub your thumb against his knuckles
He’s literal putty in your hands
Absolutely melts
In this state he probably initiates some contact (which isn’t usual for him) and be more vulnerable and affectionate (also not usual for him)
I think he has a hard time being affectionate, and it makes him glad that you are
So he can also get his point across on how much he loves you
And it goes with out saying that he definitely isn’t one to be vulnerable and like, soft and shit
But there are times when he just can’t be mad at the world for something random.

Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy
Written By: Freddie Mercury
Artist: Queen
Released: 1976
The song was the eighth track on their album “A Day At The Races” which was released in 1976. The song also appeared on “Queens First EP” released in 1977. The song is about how Freddie is an old-fashioned lover, taking his partners on old-school dates such as dancing or dinner, also hinting at the fact that he is a good lover.
[Verse 1] I can dim the lights and sing you songs Full of sad things We can do the tango, just for two I can serenade and gently play On your heart strings Be a Valentino, just for you [Chorus] "Ooh love, ooh lover boy What're you doing tonight? Hey boy" Set my alarm, turn on my charm That's because I'm a good old-fashioned lover boy [Verse 2] Ooh, let me feel Your heartbeat (Grow faster, faster) Ooh, can you feel my love heat? (Ohh) Come on and sit on my hot seat of love And tell me how do you feel, right after all I'd like for you and I to go romancing Say the word, your wish is my command [Chorus] “Ooh love, ooh lover boy What're you doing tonight? Hey boy” Write my letter, feel much better I'll use my fancy patter on the telephone [Bridge] When I'm not with you, think of you always I miss you (I miss those long hot summer nights) When I'm not with you, think of me always Love you, love you Hey boy where do you get it from? Hey boy where did you go? I learned my passion in the good old-fashioned School of lover boys [Guitar Solo] [Verse 3] Dining at the Ritz, we'll meet at nine (One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine o'clock) precisely I will pay the bill, you taste the wine Driving back in style in my saloon will do quite nicely Just take me back to yours, that will be fine (Come on and get it) [Chorus] Ooh love (There he goes again) Ooh lover boy (Who's my good Old-fashioned lover boy?) Careless Whisper
Written By: Andrew Ridgeley & George Michael
Artist: George Michael/Wham!
Released: 1984
Although officially released by Wham!, this was George Michael’s first breakaway single. The song explores the guilt felt by George after he cheats on a partner, and his inability to “dance” with them in the same way after this betrayal. Despite the song’s ubiquity in pop culture since its arrival on the scene in 1985, George Michael has confessed to having no particular connection to the situation this song portrays. He wrote the song to pass the time on a bus, when he was just seventeen. In his 1991 memoir, Bare, Michael admits he regrets that it “was not an integral part of my emotional development… It disappoints me that you can write a lyric very flippantly—and not a particularly good lyric—and it can mean so much to so many people. That’s disillusioning for a writer.” Later in an interview with People magazine, he made similar remarks about the song. “I’m fed up with ‘Careless Whisper.’ I don’t know why it made such an impression. Is it that so many people have cheated? I have no idea. But it’s ironic that I wrote it when I was 17 and didn’t know much about anything. Certainly nothing much about relationships.”
[Intro] Time can never mend The careless whispers Of a good friend To the heart and mind Ignorance is kind There's no comfort in the truth Pain is all you'll find Should've known better, yeah [Instrumental] [Verse 1] I feel so unsure As I take your hand And lead you to the dance floor As the music dies Something in your eyes Calls to mind a silver screen And all its sad goodbyes [Chorus] I'm never gonna dance again Guilty feet have got no rhythm Though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool Should've known better than to cheat a friend And waste a chance that I've been given So I'm never gonna dance again The way I danced with you, oh [Verse 2] Time can never mend The careless whispers Of a good friend To the heart and mind Ignorance is kind There's no comfort in the truth Pain is all you'll find [Chorus] I'm never gonna dance again Guilty feet have got no rhythm Though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool Should've known better than to cheat a friend (Should've known better, yeah) And waste a chance that I've been given So I'm never gonna dance again The way I danced with you, oh [Post-Chorus] Never without your love [Bridge] Tonight, the music seems so loud I wish that we could lose this crowd Maybe it's better this way We'd hurt each other with the things we want to say We could have been so good together We could have lived this dance forever But now who's gonna dance with me? Please stay [Chorus] And I'm never gonna dance again Guilty feet have got no rhythm Though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool Should've known better than to cheat a friend And waste a chance that I've been given So I'm never gonna dance again The way I danced with you, oh [Outro] (Now that you're gone) Now that you're gone (Now that you're gone) Was what I did so wrong, so wrong That you had to leave me alone?

TW: Hints at sexual relationship.
SUMMARY: A cute exchange between Rafe and his tall girlfriend.
WORD COUNT: 700
REQUESTED
Hi! Forst of all i wanted to say that i love your fics and dont want to put any pressure on you with this request:) i will literally eat anything you’ll write UP. It’s all soooooo good. I love your rafe fics especially the boyfriend!rafe ones. He’s so much softer and cute but still dominant and cocky. I cannot comprehend how you portray and imagine him so well. Anyway;) I’ve been seeing a lot of smut with size kink where the guy is obssesed with how small the girl is. I myself am a tall girl and we lack tall!reader fics on here. So I was wondering if you could write a rafe fic (either smut or fluff where he’s just crazy about her) where he finds her height super attractive and loves her in heels where she matches his height? I would love to read a rafe fic where he’s kinda validate my insecurities if that makes sense??? But I understand that this is a weirdly specific ask so like I said no pressure! Have a nice day love:)
*I LOVE THIS! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT, IT MEANS SO MUCH AND I'M SO GLAD YOU ENJOY MY WORK. I HOPE YOU CONTINUE TO DO SO WITH THIS ONE! ALSO, I CHOSE FLUFF BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE MANY FLUFFY PIECES FOR HIM AND I THOUGHT THIS FIT PERFECT, HOPE YOU DON'T MIND BABES!*
Eye Level
"Goddamn…" He spoke while leaned up against the doorway of the bedroom, eyes scanning every glorious inch or your body. Beginning at the perfectly polished toes and rising over the curve of your hips, he leveled at your eyes looking back at him within the mirror. Your curious eyes narrowed in skepticism as he inched closer to you until his arms wrapped around your waist.
"How is it that you're always this perfect? And how is it that I got so lucky?"
"Rafe…" His lips pressed to your neck made you lose all train of thought. Your insecurities dissolved whenever his touch was present, and his kiss held the power to eradicate them completely. But of course, they would eventually have to be removed. But just not yet.
"Yeah?" Hot breath now on your shoulder had his fingers beneath the straps of your dress, clearly motivated to cast it away to your feet. The idea was more enticing than the promise made of your attendance, and yet, the reminder of that very presence would be reminded by a knock on your bedroom door.
"We have to go…" You fixed your strap before feeling his hand take hold of your wrist and lead you back to him. A sashay of hips guided by his own would pull you into an impromptu sway as he rested his forehead against yours.
"Maybe I should take off the heels?" Your thoughts had gotten the best of you as your words broke the silence of the moment. But Rafe lived to validate you. Even if you didn't need it. All because he lived for you.
"Not a chance in hell, baby. I want them on all night…" His hands rose up your hips and teased the zipper set at the side as your breath collected at a stilled rest.
"Even after this dress is kept right here on my floor after I tear it off of you…" He motioned to the direction of the bed. Immediately, thoughts of passion and lust became foremost on your mind from memories having been stored and fantasies yet to be met.
"It doesn't bother you?" You finally asked as those damned thoughts returned once more.
"You're beautiful." He explained with a hand to your cheek. "Heels. No heels. Hair in a bun…" His hand moved softly through your hair, teasing it into a fist, "Wrapped around my fingers…." You swallowed hard at the thought as he favored this look across your face. That split second of fear that was mended by his touch in knowing you'd established those parameters of trust and care long ago.
"Every stunning…soft…brilliant inch of you is mine. So let me go show you off to all of them…"
"You have no reason to be insecure about it," He began again as he felt your reservation. "Easier for me to see just how I affect my girl when I talk just dirty enough to make her poor little panties-"
"Rafe…" You interrupted him as you tried for the lapel of his jacket, fisting them as your eyes fell heavy with lust.
"You have to question what you do to me? Just let me know and I'll leave nothing to question when I slip your hand over me beneath the table. And you bet your tall, beautiful, ass I'll more than return the favor. Maybe THEN you'll understand what you do to me…Now…" He fixed his tie before leading you towards the door, "Let me show off my beautiful girlfriend…so I can bring you home and remind you just what it is you do to me…" He pressed a soft kiss that quickly drew passionate as another knock came to the door. With a groan, he led the way.
"One second…I'll meet you in the hallway." He nodded as you took only a moment as he looked at you curiously as you fixed your dress before then looking at him.
"To make it easier…" You explained while slipping your panties into his pocket and moved further down the hall, turning back to find those preying eyes sharpening as you'd initiated this new game of seduction, and you knew he played to win…

I have like half an hour to spare so here's my specific taka hc that i have ummm
So Ishida having the fire eyes thing looked cool but i constantly wish that it was more used, or better yet: I thought it'd be cool if it paralelled something. So I kinda started rotating fire motifs for Taka, since while celeste is usually portrayed with the fire imagery because of her execution I think it's a cool way to represent Taka as well and I love it whenever I sparsely see it.
At some point I also thought itd be funny to take it kinda literally by giving him a little sprinkle of pyromania as this other thing he's repressed? And so its kinda like. I guess foreshadowing for Ishida in a way. He couldn't allow himself to fuel the fire so the first time he did, he did it recklessly, and it went out of control.
I think he only ever started small fires as a kid back before the shit with Toranosuke went down. They were relatively controlled to pieces of paper outside or just in the fireplace, but after the scandal occurred and they had to move to a much smaller place I think he started a small fire ouside or something, and it spread to the house itself and accidentally burnt the whole thing down.
And hypothetically that would be his chapter 2 secret that we never learn because not even his family knew it was him. They thought that it had to do with the fireplace the whole time while Taka silently blamed himself for making their family debt worse. Its funny because in the hypothetical scenario where this secret is revealed it would also be Ishida foreshadowing.
It also kinda makes celeste's death kinda neat in the domino chain of murders that is chapter 3 because her execution involves fire. Taka almost gets the last laugh in a way if all of this is taken into consideration.
I also like the idea that he has cryophobia as well but that's based on literally nothing but headcanons and would take SO MUCH LONGER to explain in detail so I'll hold off for now, lol.

wait ok if you did your dissertation on nlmg then you’re the EXPERT. would love your opinion on the angle i’m taking if you don’t mind!!!
basically i’m looking at how the text showcases how soft power/ideological structures like schools/church/media/art (specifically schools and art in this case) reinforce the status quo and cause people to internalise their societal roles etc.
i also think the way it plays with utopian/dystopian genres is sOoo interesting like. the pastoral idealised Boarding School Vibes feels very utopian but a lot of utopian ideals require some level of authoritarianism and. hmmm. like a homogenisation of ideals that pretty much always dismisses the wants/needs of more marginalised people. and i feel like nlmg Gets It because the way the world is described for non-clones is kind of utopian with the whole No Sickness thing. and even amongst the clones hailsham is considered a sort of utopia compared to other schools or whatever.
idk honestly i could talk about SO much but my essay is examining it through marxist literary analysis so i’m basically focusing on althusser’s concepts and how they apply to the text but there’s SOOOOOO much to examine from so many different angles i would love to know what your dissertation was about !!! feel free to dm me because idk what counts as spoilers anymore skdhsjd
that sounds super interesting and absolutely a valid angle to take it on. i am absoultely not an expert on it though lmao. my disso was how grief is portrayed in nlmg and one other book so I didn't touch on authoritarian power structures except in relation to who is considered grievable (which if you want to explore id recommend judith butlers frames of war)
I think there's a lot to say on the topic. At the top of my head there's how Tommy was ostracised because he was bad and art and later chose to not take part in the gallery. There's when he was mocked for his little animals. There's when they meet with madame and in the time prior he obsessively draws little animals in order to show her. When they touch madame as kids and she looks at them as if they're spiders. Their limited access to the outside world. Even as adults they have limited time to themselves either being too busy as carers or needing permission to travel. How there's never even rumours of people who escaped. Cathy never really mentions surveillance or something like they're chipped, they're just so indoctrinated that they don't even bother trying to escape the system.
I think boarding schools as well is interesting because it draws on school stories in historical british fiction. Some stories (jane eyre) present these schools as a place of suffering and a child's first insight to injustices in the world, but still preferable to her home life. whereas I think most often they were serialised stories that portray the growing character of a child/children. So I think looking at halisham is interesting as well in this dual place boarding schools hold in the canon and how it fulfills both in nlmg (kathy looks back at this time fondly but most of the stories she tells aren't very happy) I think isolation plays into this as well. I'm thinking of the abandoned bus stop they hang out ??? But I coukd be misremembering. Ya know they live in a pastoral heaven but they also live in the middle of nowhere.
I think it could be interesting to look at how there's the no sickness thing but when kathy and Tommy meet madame and their other teacher again (forgot her name) I think one of them is physically disabled? Or at least she is in the film. Like all ailments aren't eradicated and they can't feasibly be. I think a comparison to the child of omelas could be made, a utopia of sorts built off of the subjugation of a class of people, except instead of walking away the class is so dehumanised the idea of it they even have souls is put to question.
I think your topic is really interesting and like you said there's So Much you could say about it all of the time. I recommend the book to everyone I can and when they finish it I like to ask them what they think it'd About (the same question proposed to my seminar group when I studied it at uni) and everyone's answers differed somewhat but a Marxist reading of 'it's about how our bodies are reduced to our labour" was the most popular one i think. I'm not familiar with althusser and I have work in 10 minutes so i dont think id be able to find + read his work in time but overall I think your idea is incredibly thought out, unique and you could dor sure get an amazing grade in it

pokemon community hot take; i don't think Ghetsis and Colress had a power imbalance or that their relationship was abusive at all. more detail underneath the Read More because this came out longer than i had anticipated.
i don't think the abusive dynamic many people portray is exactly accurate, i get that ghetsis IS abusive and a total piece of shit, undeniably, but i don't think Colress was subject to that. i think that yes he was taken advantage of, yes he was manipulated, but i think to a degree, Colress knew that. after you beat him in the postgame, Colress tells you that he hated Ghetsis from the very beginning- ''For one thing, I detested Ghetsis from the start!", he makes it very clear that the only reason he cooperated was for his own benefit, to further his own research. the idea that Ghetsis abused Colress holds no ground in my personal opinion, Colress shows a lot of autonomy and ability to act on his own, namely, he sabotages Neo Team Plasma by giving you a device specifically intented to remove the Crustle barricade at Seaside Cave guarding the Plasma Frigate. you can't just say that it was on accident, because it would be a cosmically impossible coincidence for him to give you not only a device meant to energize Pokemon, after he had already shown you it can be used to move Crustle, but also have it break after a single use. if he wanted you to just have a silly little device to energize pokemon for your own personal use, why would he not just give you the colress machine he used back at Castelia City? he ALLOWED you to go into the Plasma Frigate and intervene, he willingly sabotaged them with seemingly no hesitation, and his confidence never once falters during the whole ordeal, not from the moment to met him to the moment you battle him.
it's also worth noting- Colress is an exceptionally strong trainer, much better than Ghetsis. he's shown to have a lot of battle experience, and his postgame team is incredibly competent, possessing Pokemon with full item builds, an eviolite Magneton, a pseudo legendary in Metagross, the single best Rotom form in Rotom-Wash, and a Magnezone which is a Pokemon with a LOT of amazing traits, and one he uses in your third battle with him, at the Frigate.
you could say it's just this good because it's a postgame team, because it's simple game design, but in his Frigate battle he still has a Metang, the eviolite Magneton, Magnezone, and an Air Balloon Klinklang (which is unusually clever item usage for an NPC, getting rid of Steel's Ground weakness). he's a smart, competent trainer, as opposed to Ghetsis who is incredibly impulsive and driven by anger. not to mention, Colress knows how to operate the Frigate in detail, which Ghetsis is never shown to do. so by all means, if facing aggression from Ghetsis, Colress can put him in his place and remind him he holds no power over him, that their relationship is one of mutual benefit, and that he's not going to be ordered around, he's not subject to Ghetsis' whims. he's a better trainer so his pokemon are more than apt enough at providing self defense, he's smarter than Ghetsis, he knows the inner functionings of the very ship they're on better than Ghetsis does, and overall he holds every advantage possible he could against Ghetsis. and his lack of hesitation to sabotage Ghetsis, how openly he states his hatred for that man, the way he later intervenes in the Rainbow Rocket episode of USUM simply out of sheer hatred for Ghetsis more than any affiliation to the Aether Foundation, even going so far as to steal the Master Ball that Ghetsis had stored away after his defeat at the end of BW2, despite knowing damn well the Shadow Triad still follows Ghetsis and acts in his steed, Colress was never powerless against Ghetsis.
he didn't just grow a backbone later, he's always been like this. he's not a victim, he was just as guilty of the things that happened in BW2 as Ghetsis was. he's morally gray, that's the point of his character- being a Chaotic Neutral who can be either a great asset or great threat depending on who makes the most compelling argument to him as to how he should go about things, how to conduct his research. Ghetsis convinced him one way, then the player convinced him the other way, and he's stayed on that path since, purely because no one has really made a good enough argument for him to do anything as reprehensible as the things he did in BW2. he's not iron-clad, obviously! in USUM, he develops the N-Solarizer and N-Lunarizer, used to fuse Solgaleo and Lunala, with no concern as to how ethical the procedure may be, even stating he has experience with Pokemon fusion, showing that if he does regret what he did, it's clearly not to a strong emotional level. he wasn't forced to do what he did, there wasn't a power imbalance, and while i do respect the narrative weight of how some people portray his relationship with Ghetsis, i think that as far as the game goes, it's very unsupported and it shouldn't be stated as fact, like some people say it is.
tl;dr: Colress is not a victim, and i personally think people who argue as such completely miss the point of his morally gray nature and ability to be swayed into doing horrible things by anyone who makes a compelling enough argument and gives him the resources he needs. Ghetsis is still a scumbag, he still absolutely abused N and did horrible things, he has victims, but Colress is NOT one of them.

Throwing my two cents out here with an idea of how to utilize Thad's canon (sans killing Josh Mardon because that was a terrible idea for shock and makes no sense) that could lead into him having a "redemption arc"/ or that could be used to lead into a new chapter for him whether it's as a villain, a hero, anti-hero, connecting with the Flash Family or whatever.
Let me preface that I do dislike Thad's Kid Zoom arc and his characterization as simply a psychotic violent villain that Rogues Revenge portrays. It goes against his previous characterization in Impulse, but I personally do like incorporating it and his previous actions against Bart into Thad's history because of the potential emphasis it has upon consequences.
Thad is a result of the Thawne family's actions and teachings and his own course of actions. I reason that Thad is in denial after the events of Impulse. He can't go back to the 31st , but the truth he has faced thanks to Bart and Max is too much for him to handle which leads him to be in denial and misplaces his anger toward his family/President Thawne and how they treated him/how he was only created to be a tool of revenge back onto Bart, which leads to him continuing on his original path of wanting to kill Bart, but this time it is for his own sake. It's to prove he's better than Bart, that he's not just some clone, and is trying to prove his value as a person in some way. To validate his existence. And this is basically how I reason his shift from Impulse to when he returns in the Teen Titans comics for Deathstroke's Titans East team and why he wants to and does kill Bart again in The Flash: Fastest Man Alive. It's not just for the sake of regaining his speed, but to validate his existence, prove he's better than Bart like he wanted to prove in Impulse #66.
Tumblr media
Thad's shown to be very focused when it comes to his goals, so him holding onto this grudge against Bart is very likely and another reason as to why I think he would go after Bart later on. He's in denial, can't/might not be able to lash out against President Thawne because he's viewed as a father figure by Thad for creating him and he holds power over Thad due to having that relation with him, but also because President Thawne as the President of Earthgov does have power and people at his disposal to protect him, and ultimately he's misplacing his anger back onto Bart who has essentially ruined his life with this revelation that he's never been loved or treated like a real person.
So that's why Thad would continue to go after Bart even after making the realization that he's been used by his family and only created with this object. It's stubborn denial and misplaced anger mixed with obsessive and very focused tendencies.
Now as for how a redemption arc could be handled without erasing his previous canon is by utilizing how he was tortured by Wally after he kills Bart.
Yes, he killed Bart, but Thad was raised in an environment in which murder of another person, specifically Allens was normalized. He was raised in an environment which did not emphasize basic morals. You even see this when Max tries to give him the opportunity to have family, friends, and learn to be a hero with Bart. His reaction assumes that he would be allowed to kill Bart.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Impulse #66)
Thad never had a chance to become better without guidance thanks to his upbringing, and he's never given a chance by anyone after the events of Impulse so he has no opportunity to become a better person or learn from his actions either. So killing Bart becomes an eventuality that does come to pass for Thad. (Bart and Thad truly have a kill or be killed relationship when it comes to each other and it's tragic.)
Now considering Wally's response to Thad killing Bart it's really no wonder that Thad ends up worse and more violent during his Kid Zoom arc. I personally think that how Wally handles Thad makes a good point in which to reason/validate him essentially going mad and becoming more violent and reckless during his time as Kid Zoom. Wally forcibly steals his speed to the point he is fully paralyzed and that even blinking would take him a hundred years (as the page I reference below states), he's specifically positioned to stare at Bart's image the person he has hated his entire life and who his entire life has essentially been based around, in conflict with, and contrasted to, but also during this time he is fully cognizant of everything going around him. So while he is on display in the Flash museum for however long he's there (I'm assuming weeks to months maybe) he would additionally be forced to watch museum goers pass him by, gawk at him, and comment about him without even realizing that that is an actual, real, living person that they are staring at. (Also as a side note (feel free to ignore): I'm realizing at this moment that Thad is technically once again treated like an item/object instead of person in his life, which is interesting and I doubt would help his mental state either as he's technically become a literal object at least from an outside perspective to those unaware he's a real living person and not a statue. The first instance is his creation as a tool of revenge against the Allens). So Wally's treatment of Thad would not help his mental state, and in turn it makes sense why Thad is more violent and reckless as Kid Zoom. He has his initial anger toward Bart and the Flash family that he carries from his youth, but now he has the additional anger of his inhumane treatment by Wally.
Tumblr media
(All-Flash #1 2007)
(Also just a fun fact about this. Thad is also almost killed in this state because the Flash Museum catches on fire, so I doubt that helps his own mental state either.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(The Flash (1987) #241)
Is Rogues Revenge and Thad's writing as Kid Zoom absolutely terrible if you view it in contrast to his writing from Impulse? Yes. But if you view it as a result of Thad's upbringing, his torture and treatment it makes a touch more sense that he would act that way. He's had no real chances to improve himself and is at most just an angry kid who never knew any better and never had the opportunity to. I'm not counting Max's offer in this case because Thad wasn't given the opportunity
Now, as for a fix of his story I'd first suggest a retcon of his killing of Josh Mardon. Like lets just wipe that from his canon overall. But also I suggest building Thad up from after his death with the understanding of his Kid Zoom arc with the perspective that I suggested before, which is that that Thad basically has gone mad and become more violent in response to the extreme treatment he's faced when Wally steals his speed and puts him (a real person) up for display in the Flash museum, but also through how he's been treated in his life as an object, not a person, irredeemable, etc. Let him come back like heroes and villains have done before, have him understand and realize. Put him at the absolute bottom and let him grow from there.
I'm personally a proponent of building Thad back up from his New Earth canon (sans killing Josh like I said), post-death, and having him go through the harsh realization that everything he worked so hard for under the influence of how he was raised as a Thawne and due to his own personal vendetta and hatred toward Bart was that it was all for nothing. That his success is a bittersweet moment and one of realization. For one second he was better than Bart, he had killed the Flash and finally proven he was better than him, and in the next moment he then realizes that nothing has changed in his life. He no longer has a purpose now that he realized his hatred was for nothing. And that his life is not any better now that he's killed Bart. So now he has to make a decision what to do with his life know that he understands that killing Bart would have never
It would be a slow movement toward redemption as he still struggles with his hatred toward Bart and heroes and the Flash family, those feelings don't simply disappear and they surely won't disappear from Bart or anyone else in the Flash family, but his realization of his mistakes and wrong decisions is the first step as they propel him to change, which is the ultimate outcome. For Thad to actively want to change himself and make his own decisions that are not influenced by others. He gets to live his own life, and make his own decisions regardless if they are right or wrong and he'll learn from them.
He's done wrong and made mistakes and missed opportunities in his life to make his life better, so I suggest letting him keep those strikes against him and his mistakes, and let him prove himself against those who distrust him and develop him from the point in which he realizes his previous life and decisions were wrong. So he can grow, actively take charge of his life, make his own decisions, but also for him to have the chance to do the right thing and potentially do it despite what others think about him and what labels are attached to him and his character.
From that I do think that Thad has the potential to make connections and rebuild bridges with characters like Max, and maybe connect with Barry who never got to know him or what he did so it would allow him to look at Thad with a more open/less biased perspective. Maybe he could be accepting by some of them and slowly brought into the Flash family fold. There would be distrust from others like Iris and Wally of course, but with time maybe things would heal with them. And then maybe one day he and Bart would begin to heal.
It would be an active yet slow and steady progression of making things right and healing.
And that's my idea for Thad! Feel free to comment and discuss this with me!
