That would be awesome and I'm sure it'll happen because you know we're going to get more Shattered Grid homages but at the same time it would be a little funny if the whole "we haven't heard from Hyperforce in days!" thing really does mean they just all got corrupted and continued to make things worse for everyone

I know this, but the problem is when the contradiction is for a thing that is less cool than the thing that has been contradicted (lava zombies >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>)

Oh so NOW we like the whole thing with Tommy sharing the Green Coin because we can parallel it to him sharing the White Coin........I was there when it first happened, I remember when people kept bashing it because they thought it was Green Ranger worship and blatant favoritism from Kyle!!!!!!!! Don't be fake with me!!!!!!!

Personally I would have given everyone stylized coins on their shield but

That would have been cool!!

I also saw someone point out it would have been cool if they were modeled more like the Squadron/Dairanger suits and it's like :I yeah that would have been a cool way to tie it all together........if they had actually made a connection between Power Rangers Universe and the White Light........sigh

Also I’m not super vibing with the White Ranger combo suits. They’re fine I guess but it leaves a super bad taste in my mouth that m/tt is now in both of Tommy’s suits while he’s depowered

The White Ranger combo suits are kind of like the corrupted Ranger suits - they're fine, they get the job done, but I feel like they could have been pushed a bit further (maybe give them all gold on their helmets? Make Slayer's shield black with a cape?)

As for M/tt.......yeah, it sucks that once again he has to ride Tommy's coattails, but I guess we can be thankful they're not making a big deal out of him being a Green/White hybrid. You will NEVER be Drakkon's level of iconic, NEVER

Aisha is also dealing with severe comphet too btw I can buy TriniZack even if I don't think they're written very interestingly here because at least they have history and chemistry meanwhile Aisha/Matt is literally just "single girl and single boy exist in the same space" and that's the basis of their romance

I think part of the reason this issue was stronger than the others was because the Rangers are finally being proactive and going forth with a plan that'll actually change things; one of the biggest problems of this event has been how a lot of these second-act issues just felt like everyone was sitting around or fighting meaningless monster fights while the only ones who were getting anything done were the tech people or the villains. It just goes to show how this event probably did not have to be a year long, especially since the reason the Rangers are being proactive is because we're in the final act and we need to wrap this up in four issues lmao

I haven’t read the issue yet but I feel like with everything I’ve seen from it plus the news that this is the end…Rita becoming a ranger just had big boost to it’s chances imo

Now that we know this is the end there's a lot of choices where you can tell were made with the thought of "we won't have any more chances for this, so let's just do it now" and Ranger Rita definitely would be one of them

Tbh I was gonna take off the Shattered suit in exchange for taking away Drakkon’s dumbass Empyreal corrupted suit. Balance

OH MY GOD THAT THINGGGGG. Christ it is amazing how literally everything with the Empyreals never amounted to anything. Drakkon died with that stupid haircut for NOTHING

But anyway unfortunately I have to count all of the suits, even the ugly ones, for their respective clout u_u

When I sent the Kim Tally ask I was forced to remember the Shattered and then realized that Kamen Rider pulled off the same design philosophy much better on that new mobile game they’ve got coming out, Ride Kamens

Oh yeah......I guess we do have to count the Shattered suits. Man. I guess sometimes it has to be quantity over quality

Yeah I've seen that Ride Kamens thing around and it does prove the idea was there and could be pulled off - Drakkon New Dawn just didn't, unfortunately

We’ll have to do a tally of how many new suits Kim ended up with after the prime series is done

Between Kim and Slayer, she has to have eclipsed Tommy/Drakkon in suit numbers at this point kjkdjf which is CRAZY

It's funny how I criticized the choice to spare Taylor out of all the Wild Force Rangers at the beginning of this event because I felt like it was just trying to recreate Shattered Grid having Jen........just for Taylor to have none of her Jen-like personality from the show. If they hadn't made the smallest connection between the civilian soldier plot and her being in the Air Force this really wouldn't feel like Taylor at all

Some quick 119 thoughts -

= This issue was better than the last few and I think that has to do with no Hyperforce and no stupid civilian soldier plot. Amazing how taking out some of these extra plots and characters makes things better

= Glad to FINALLY get Kiya with the Omegas but the fact that it was only Trini and not Trini and Zack kind of....sucks. Zack's really been the og MMPR most ignored in this entire event outside of the Zack/Trini romance and I don't like those implications. Also yeah Yale is once again confirmed as he and. I give up. I'm not going to keep giving them non-binary points for a cat so I guess Yale is he/him now. trans king

= White Ranger Combo suits are pretty cool, though I wish Slayer's had more black/her cape. She looks naked without the cape

= Oh thank god Rocky and Adam might be able to do something in the last few issues of this event

= Corrupted Tanya shouldn't remember the Void because only Slayer remembers the adventures with the Solar Rangers but......man, who cares at this point. We're almost done
