The smell of tea enters the air as you pour in a cup for yourself, the calm atmosphere being the perfect one for a rainy Saturday evening. You take a sip from the cup while scrolling on your phone, enjoying the moment. That was until there was an unexpected knock on the door; you shift your attention towards it, asking yourself who could knock at these late hours. You strolled your way to the front door of your apartment, opening the door to reveal none other than your half-curse boyfriend. Choso stood there, his ponytails slightly drooping because of the rain but he held something small in his large hands. He gently clutched a soggy kitten, its black fur sticking to the tiny body. It looked fragile but the meow it let out was impressive for something of this size. “Hey Cho, where did you find that?”
You shifted aside so he could enter the apartment, his wet boots leaving traces in front of the house mat. He shuffled his way out of said boots while responding: “This creature was outside; I do not know why I even brought it with me.” You gave him a puzzled expression for his choice of words; did he perhaps not know what a cat was? You guided him to the couch while you to tell him to stay put, you were going to get a towel to dry off the poor kitten. After a few minutes u came back with a towel and some canned tuna, just in case it happened to be hungry.
He still looked confused, looking at the animal like it was a mythical creature. He lifted his hands and brought it closer to him to examine it, you sat next to him and glanced at his actions. “Y/n, what is this thing?” Your suspicions were confirmed, your boyfriend didn’t know what a cat was. That would’ve explained his actions towards the tiny thing. You let a let out a small laugh, taking the cat out of his hands. You gently patted it, trying to dry it off; Choso curiously stared at you. He was still confused about the whole ordeal, but more specifically at what it was. Until you finally answered his question.
“It’s a cat Cho; it’s like a small animal that most people have as pets. They tend to be a bit anti-social sometimes but they are great company if you befriend one.” He carefully listened to your words, still trying to make sense of it all. By that time, the cat was almost fully dry and was eating the tuna in an intense manner; the poor animal probably hadn’t eaten in a few days. “Do you intent to keep it?” he questioned as he still stared at the kitten. His glance was filled with curiosity and a bit of admiration towards it, which made your heart flutter a bit. “I can’t really return it outside, so yeah I’ll keep it.”
“It reminds me of you a bit y/n, it looks adorable.” You turn you head towards him, not expecting this to come out of his mouth. A bashful smile crept its way onto your face, your cheeks feeling a bit warmer than usual. “So what about a name, you should give him one.” You try to shift his focus to the cat instead of your flustered state. Choso looks at it for a few moments until he finally answered: “We should call it earthworm.”
A long silence followed. Your internal thoughts tried to make sense of this odd name, what would possess him to call it that. Until it finally clicked. “Isn’t that the movie Yuji showed you a few days ago?”
“Yes it is and liked the movies a lot.” Well that explains a lot. Knowing your boyfriends stubborn nature, you didn’t even try fighting this weird name. It was a bit heartwarming to know that his brother influenced this odd choice, it showed he cared about him a lot. You two spend the entire evening watching movies while cuddling with the newly named kitten, Earthworm. Next week Choso happened to bring another cat home, this time a totally gray one. The same process happened: You cleaned and fed the cat. This time you named it, calling it Garu. You pointed out the similarities between your boyfriend and the cartoon character, he wasn’t particularly happy with this choice but he let you be.
Your limit was hit when the following week, when Choso held another cat in his hands while standing at your door. The kitten purring while leaning into his palm. You sighed in desperation: “Cho, you can’t keep bringing cats into my apartment. I already have two and you got three at yours, don’t you think this is a little much?” The tall man pouted a bit while gently caressing the kitty. “I felt bad for it…” You chuckled while slowly shaking your head.
“Well I hope Shoko likes cats then.”

Hi hi its been a while since I've requested!
I was wondering if you could do Apollo, Jack the ripper, and Odin with a s/o who has sentient hair? Like their hair can grab objects for them hurt people etc also it's super long and indestructible, like let's say they were in a fight if a sword or spear were to try and cut it the sword/spear would shatter instantly.
Thank you so much if you do this! Also hope you have a great day and are drinking lots of water!!!
-Your ability was an unusual one, unique and strange, but also very useful and you could be quite dangerous when you wanted to be.
-You had unnatural hair, it was extremely long, but you could control every single strand with expert precision. You mostly used it for non-practical reasons, like reaching for stuff when you didn’t want to get up or using your hair to hold cleaning tools while you sat on your butt doing nothing but enjoying yourself.
-(Love) knew that you were powerful with your ability, but only when you wanted to be, so usually he only saw you like this, reading while your hair did all the hard work.
-He had seen you turn your hair into a powerful weapon, one that splintered shields and broke swords and other weapons with ease, as you were able to harden your hair, like it was a weapon itself- to fight with.
-He wanted to be exasperated with you, as you could do so much more with your ability, but it was hard to stay mad at you, especially when you would wrap pieces of your hair around his wrist, pulling him to you so you could hug him, or other cute things like that.
-Apollo- Adores your long hair, and he knows how hard you work to maintain it, washing it and brushing it and just taking care of it in general. Apollo loves to brush your hair for you, feeling the soft tresses falling through his fingers as you sigh softly in content- enjoying the pampering. Your hair stretched out grabbing the two flutes of wine, bringing them over to the both of you which made him chuckle before he pressed a soft kiss to the section of hair he had been brushing. He adored you.
-Jack- You were such a little gremlin sometimes- teasing him and trying to scare him with your hair, pulling yourself up to hide in high corners, just to jump down and spook him. You’re lucky he loves you! He’s so cute to fluster so you can’t help it. While he doesn’t admit it out loud, he does enjoy it when you bring him along to sneak up on others, as your hair can support the both of you while crawling around like some sort of spider like creature. He enjoyed you holding him so close to you when you pulled pranks like this. He wouldn’t change it for the world.
-Odin- Could only smile as he leaned his cheek on his fist, seeing you easily taking on a whole squadron of warriors, after a few claimed you weren’t as strong as you claimed to be. You didn’t see yourself as a violent person, however, you weren’t going to just stand by and let others insult your strength. You were just standing completely still, filing one of your nails, while your hair was doing all the work, easily grabbing the warriors, breaking their weapons when they tried to cut your hair, and just getting completely owned while you looked bored!! Odin chuckled as you skipped over to him once you won, your hair lifting you so you could wrap your arms around his neck, pressing a peck to his cheek, “The nerve of some people!” Odin just chuckled softly, holding on to you as you continued your walk.

Chapter 6: “Crazy little Thing Called Love”
You rose, scanning your surroundings, the inky dark made it hard for you to see anything. It took a whole minute for your eyes to adjust. You saw trees all around you, as you took a single step forward, an unsettling crack echoed beneath your heel. You looked down only to realise it was the bone of a very small animal, a fox perhaps. You shivered at the thought.
Another step and a haunting howl sliced through the air, piercing your ears. Its resonance was powerful, sharp, and it reverberated deep within you, whatever monster was making that sound, it was close.
You tried to find a hiding spot but it was futile, whatever that monster was, it had already caught your scent, its primal instincts honed in on you, and you could hear it getting closer and closer. And then, it was there, right in front of you, its predatory gaze calculating which part of you it would feast on first.
“H-Hey, It’s ok, it’s me,” you stammered, a desperate attempt to reason with it, which, in all honesty, made no sense, still you clung to the idea that perhaps that would appease the beast.
Bad idea, it didn’t. It just growled back and lunged at you. You crashed back on the ground, next to the rest of the bones you had unwittingly shattered moments ago. It had a choking hold on you, robbing your breath. You heard another growl, coming from a different place when your vision started to fog, you felt like you were going to die.
“Wake up!” You heard, and suddenly opened your eyes, trying to fight the creature still, but Lily was there instead of the monster. “It’s ok,” She told you, placing her hands over your forearms that sought desperately to defend you still, “it was only a dream luv.”
You finally took a deep breath, grounding yourself. Of course, it was only a dream. Hogwarts didn’t have those kinds of monsters. You took a deep breath and looked at Lily “Did I wake you?”
She shook her head “I woke up to go to the restroom. I noticed you were struggling in bed, that’s why I came to wake you.”
You gently placed your hand over her forearm, using her to reassure yourself, she was indeed real. Eventually you smiled at her “Thank you,” you said in all honesty “I’m truly grateful I met someone like you here.”
She smiled back at you “No problem, I’m here for you, for anything, all right?” You nodded in response. “Want me to stay with you for a little while?”
You shook your head “It’s all right, I’m a lot calmer now, thanks to you. You can go back to sleep, I wouldn’t want to be the reason dear Miss Evans is sleepy in the morning.”
She laughed at that and nodded, reluctantly leaving you, as if she wasn’t sure if you were actually better or just telling her to go as if not to be a bother, which to her, you weren’t at all.
Once you were alone again you continued to take deep breaths. Nightmares were not something you had all that often, you didn’t quite know how to deal with them, so you stared at the ceiling until you finally managed to fall back asleep.
You woke up earlier than everyone again and went down to the common room with flying gear. James arrived sometime later, and Sirius minutes afterwards, complaining “It’s raining Prongs, can’t we just sleep in instead?”
James gave Sirius a stern look in response “You’re coming today too!” He acknowledged with a smile once he noticed you were there.
“Well I’m not getting any special treatment even if I know the Captain of the Quidditch team so I’ve got to be in top shape for the tryouts,” you replied with a smug smile.
He smiled back, clearly amused by your answer “All right, let’s go then. We’re doing evasion today.”
The three of you went out and did some laps around the castle. This time James had taken out a blodger and you were beating it back and forth. Once you were done you went back to the common room and changed into your uniform. Your hair was still wet when you arrived at your first class.
“Good morning everyone, my name is Horace Slughorn, I’ll be your potions teacher, please grab a piece of paper from the hat,” he said as he passed a small wizard hat turned upside down for everyone to grab a paper. Once you opened yours you saw Lily’s name appeared on it.
James, who stood right behind you leaned over your shoulder and walked to face you, leaning over to whisper “Switch with me, will you?”
You frowned and looked up at him, he had this hopeful puppy-eyed look going on, it made you gasp in surprise “You like Evans!” You teased, in a whisper too.
He looked to the side but then nodded, looking back at you with the same golden retriever look “Pretty please?”
You thought about it for a moment and leaned over to check on his paper “Who’d you get?”
“Moony,” he responded.
“He any good at potions?”
“Brilliant!” James affirmed.
You took a deep breath and handed the paper to James, “Go get her tiger!” You told him with a smile as he approached Lily. To be fair, you totally understood why someone would have a crush on Lily, in fact, it was more surprising that you hadn’t heard of anyone else being hung up on her.
There was a knock on the door, Slughorn opened the door to find a slimy-haired boy, looking like a very pissed wet rat, and allowed him to walk inside the classroom “Ah, Severus, did you get stuck in the rain?”
The boy -Severus, took a spiteful glance towards the boys and turned back to Slughorn, taking a deep breath “Something like that.”
James gave Sirius a look and a complicitous smile. You noticed Remus rolled his eyes, while Lily looked stoic, as if she was trying to hide her feelings. They clearly had some history going on.
Slughorn handed the hat to him and he picked a piece of paper, once he opened it he rolled his eyes. “Professor, can I switch…?” Slughorn shook his head.
Sirius jumped from his seat once he realised what his paper said “I’m sure we can find someone willing to–” he argued.
“–Your partners are set, and they won’t change, there was a spell on the papers,” the professor explained. James gave you a worried look but you shook your head lightly, using a changing spell to switch the names on Lily and Remus’ papers.
The greasy-haired boy took a deep breath and went to sit down at the front, Sirius followed and sat next to him, turning his back to him and rolling his eyes; so that’s why he wanted to switch, he’d been paired with the boy, you thought.
“Excellent, please, the rest of you, take your seats.”
Remus approached you then, asking if you wanted to sit in the front, you nodded in response. And the two of you walked towards a table.
“This month, we shall embark on the fascinating journey of brewing the illustrious Polyjuice Potion. Now, let me be clear—this concoction is no ordinary brew. It demands your unwavering attention, precision, and an ample dose of patience. I must confess, not everyone will master it effortlessly on their initial attempts. However, mark my words, the fundamentals are crucial for you to grasp, for who knows when fate may call upon you to employ this transformative elixir in the days to come. So, prepare yourselves, my aspiring potion-makers, for the intricate art of Polyjuice Potion awaits!”
You nodded and pulled out your book, finding the list of ingredients you would need. “It’s a complicated one,” You said, reading through the steps.
Remus nodded and winced when he started reading some of the requirements of the ingredients, “Profesor,” he said, racing his hand “Will you provide the fluxweed or…?”
"Ah, Mr. Lupin, splendid question indeed!" Said Slughorn, whose voice carried an air of geniality and indulgence. "You have touched upon a key facet of the potion we are about to undertake—the vexing nature of ingredient collection. Specifically, the delicate task of harvesting fluxweed and capturing the elusive lacewing flies. Now, my dear students, I'm afraid I cannot simply hand you these crucial components on a silver platter. Oh no! You see, the true essence of potion-making lies in experiencing the genuine challenges it presents. Therefore, I implore each of you to venture forth and procure these ingredients yourselves, immersing yourselves in the intricacies and complications inherent in brewing a potion of such calibre. May the journey to acquire them serve as a valuable lesson in the art of potion-making!"
Remus nodded in response “Of course it wouldn’t be so easy,” he mumbled and turned towards you “Wanna split?”
You nodded “You could get the fluxweed and I could capture the lacewing flies? We also need Knotgrass and shredded boomslang skin, perhaps we can get the latter with the Care of Magical Creatures teacher?”
“Yeah,” he agreed, “All thought, how about you do the fluxweed and I do Lacewing flies?” He asked, “I’m really good at catching stuff.”
You agreed “I can go with Lily next full moon,” you said with a smile “We have Care of Magical Creatures later today, right? We could ask the teacher then?”
A small Slytherin boy raised his hand from the back of the classroom “Professor, must we also dry and powder the leeches?” He asked with an air of disgust in his voice.
“Well, of course, Mr. Stradleter.”
“Of course, because I definitely can’t order them from an ingredients store,” You mumbled rolling your eyes, Remus chuckled lightly.
“In fact, you have stumbled upon the very essence of our lesson today. Step one, my dear students, involves a fascinating encounter with these lively leeches." He paused, his eyes twinkling with anticipation as he pulled a jar from his desk. The Slytherin boy held his breath at that point, staring at the leeches horrified. "Worry not, my young potion-makers, for we shall handle them with care and precision.”
“Oh, this is definitely going to go bad somehow,” Said Remus, biting his lip to avoid smiling too wide as he looked around to the rest of the tables with students looking like they wanted to run away.
“10 sickles someone ends up with at least 10 leeches stuck to their skin.”
Remus turned to you with raised eyebrows and a little smile. “Deal.” He said and the two of you shook hands.
Later on in the class, Peter who was sitting next to a Slytherin girl and was right behind Sirius and Severus, realised slimy-old Snape had pulled his hair up to focus on the leeches when drying them and had taken the opportunity to carefully levitate some of his own leeches towards Severus’ neck. Unwittingly causing you to win the bet against Remus. Once the class was over, poor Severus had over 20 leeches all over his neck and back.
“Sirius bloody BLACK! What the hell have you done?” He roared when he realised he had leeches on his neck.
Sirius raised his hands with an innocent look on his face “I’ve been working with you all class, not that I like it, but I’ve done nothing to you.”
“Professor!” Severus whined.
“I’ve been closely monitoring your progress,” Slughorn said “Mr. Black has been dutifully working on the drying process alongside you.”
Severus rolled his eyes, clearly feeling victimised. “You’re meant to be on my side!” He argued and Slughorn gave him a stern look.
Peter held back a laugh from behind. James instantly knew who it had been.
“Come here, Severus,” Slughorn waved for the boy to follow. He pulled the collar from Severus' shirt and winced when he noticed the state of his back. Snape ended up having to go to Madam Pomffrey.
Once the class was over James caught up with Peter and Sirius as they walked towards their next class “That was brilliant Wormy!” He said with a smile.
“I just saw the opportunity and took it,” he said with a small proud smile.
Sirius spoke then “That twit couldn’t even place the blame on me,” he said as he placed a satisfied arm over Peter.
“Yeah, and you lost me 10 sickles,” complained Remus as he caught up to them.
“Yeah, thank you, Peter,” You said with a smile as you walked past them toward Marlene.
“You made a bet? With (Y/N)?” James asked Remus, raising his eyebrows, who just shrugged in response.
Once you reached Marlene you went straight to the point “Why do they dislike Severus so much?” You asked her.
“He used to be Lily’s friend. But then he called her a slur,” Marlene explained.
Mary, who was walking beside you whispered “She called her a mud-blood.”
You gave her an incredulous look “He called her that?” Marlene nodded, you exhaled with indignation, “He deserves a lot more leechers then.”
Your next class was Defense Against the Dark Arts. A tall, elegant-looking lady in her forties, who you recognized as the head of Hufflepuff, Seraphina Nightshade, was your teacher. She moved with the regalness of a ballerina around the room. In the class, she went through the basics of some strong defensive spells, left an investigation assignment and invited the students to join the Dueling club that would start next week, after classes.
You toyed with the idea in your head. Duelling was fun in your older School, you didn’t exactly know how good the students would be at Hogwarts but you pride yourself on having sharp reflexes. When Defense Against the Dark Arts was over, you all walked towards the Great Hall, at that point Mary asked Marlene to go get something from the room with her and the two diverted from the group.
“So… What are we going to do for Marlene’s birthday?” Beth asked standing in front of you, Lily and the boys.
“Oh, it’s her birthday soon?” You asked.
“September 10th, that’s… next, next Friday” Peter replied “I’m planning to get her a cake, I’ve already talked to the kitchen elves about it and everything.”
“And we’re getting some firewisky,” said Sirius pointing at James and back at himself.
“Last time you got firewisky–“ Lily started, but was interrupted by James, who placed an arm over her shoulder.
“–That wasn’t our fault,” he said defensively “That Ackley boy got us some weird stuff he was brewing in his room.”
“Yeah, and everyone was burping out purple bubbles for a week!”
Beth laughed, “Yeah, that was epic.”
Lily shot her a glance, and she shrugged in response “Ackley’s illegal brewery almost got discovered!”
“Don’t be such a wuss, Evans!” Said Sirius “We got a different dealer this time. They’re buying it at the Three Broomsticks.”
“Who? Is it someone from seventh?”
“We can’t tell you, it’s top secret,” Said Remus, who was walking beside you, “Wanna help me with the decorations? We’re gonna do over the common room.” You nodded.
“Gryffindor parties are THE parties of the school.” Said Peter, “Totally exclusive, you can only come if a Gryffindor invites you directly.”
“Then it’s settled!” Said Beth “I can tag along Remus and (Y/N) for decorations, if that’s all right?”
You both nodded, then Lily spoke “I’ll see over the snacks with Mary, then.”
“Ohh, hold up!” Said Beth “Someone needs to invite Holden Crawford.”
“The Ravenclaw seeker? Whatever for?” Asked Sirius.
“It’s Marlene’s crush,” admitted Lily.
“Oh,” Responded Sirius with an insinuating face “Want us to slip some amorentia in his drink that day too?”
“Of course not Sirius! You especially know how bad those kinds of potions can hit.”
“Does he now?” You teased “Sounds like a story I wanna hear.”
“You won’t,” responded Sirius sternly.
At the same time, James leaned down towards you and whispered over your ear “I’ll tell you all about it.”
“So… Holden Crawford?” Beth insisted, bringing everyone back to the topic at hand.
“I don’t know him,” shrugged James.
“Me neither,” responded Sirius.
“I know he’s chummy with Alexander Wood,” Said Peter “They got paired up in potions first year and became really good friends, even if they’re different houses.”
“Alex, the Hufflepuff Head Boy, Alex?” You asked. Peter nodded. “Oh, I’ll invite them.” You said matter of factly. Everyone turned towards you. They were all thinking the same, how the hell had you met Alexander Wood? “He brought me here on my first day,” you explained,  “took me to Dumbledore’s office to get sorted.”
“Aaaah,” said Peter as he nodded.
“Fantastic,” said Beth excitedly “Godric Heavens, (Y/N) the brave got sent to us!”
“(Y/N) the brave?” Asked Sirius incredulous.
“Oh, Puppy… You don’t want me to talk about the zip lines, do you?” You teased. He instantly tensed up, the boys did too, but you didn’t notice.
“P-puppy?” Peter stammered.
“I gave him that nickname back on our trip, he insisted a tiger would win over a lion.”
The boys weren’t sure how that related to Sirius being called Puppy but they relaxed when they realised it didn’t have anything to do with their secret. “Good thing we already had nicknames when you arrived,” said James as playfully nudged you with his shoulder. You laughed.
“Don’t know about that,” said Beth “I’d rather be Puppy than Wormtail.”
“Oi!” Complained Peter “Wormtail’s a fine nickname, thank you very much.” By then you had already arrived at the Great Hall, Marlene and Mary joining you shortly after.
For dinner, there was Roast Beef, Shepards Pie, Bangers and Mash and these absolutely killer Buttered New Potatoes. They were so good you’d served yourself twice. Once you were done you started feeling drowsy, it often happened to you when you overate, so you gently let your head fall over Sirius’ shoulder, who was sitting beside you.
“You okay?” He asked, turning his head towards you lightly, trying not to move you as much.
You nodded, still on his shoulder “I ate too much,” you complained, then took in a deep breath “and we still have another class…”
“I can carry you there,” he offered.
You turned to him with a frown “And risk me puking on you?”
He shrugged, “If it’ll make you feel better.” You chuckled lightly, sometimes you really didn’t understand Sirius. Some days he was at your throat trying to win you on whatever game you made up on flying practice, and then he’d come out and say things like that.
You stared at his pretty face for a minute before shaking your head and going back to lay on his shoulder, “It’s alright Puppy, I’m sure it’ll go away on the way there.”
He didn’t even seem to mind you calling him puppy all that much either, in that particular moment. You might have fallen asleep on Sirius’ shoulder, since next thing you knew, Lily was shaking you lightly and telling you it was time for your next class.
The teacher of Care for Magical Creatures, Silvanus Kettleburn, was quite a character, to say the least, he had white hair, styled in a very rockstar kind of way, a metal claw for a hand and a white bandage covering one of his eyes. If Remus looked like a sexy novel Pirate, Kettleburn looked like the villain pirate the main character was forced to get married to before Remus came to rescue her. The funniest thing about the man was this extremely high-pitched voice with which he introduced himself, totally contrasting with his gruff pirate vibe and attitude. He said something about trying out a new draught that had made his voice squeaky, but it still took a whole lot of energy to keep your face straight when he spoke.
He said this month you’d be taking care of fireworms, and explained that they should be taken care of with extreme precautions since they could easily explode if not being cared for properly, if they saw the moon, or simply if they felt threatened by whoever was caring for them. He mentioned they would start small but they could grow up to 10 feet tall, and that they were the cause of many monsters and horror stories the muggles told to their children. He handed every single one of you a small box, of about 3 inches, with a worm in it, explaining how you’d have to get the worm used to you before transferring it to a bigger box, once it was large enough. “You must be very careful, and you must not forget to feed them, or they might explode too.”
You took in a sharp breath, looking down at the little box, how could such a small creature be so dangerous?, You wondered as you carefully set him to the side, as if not to disturb him much. During the  the class you learned that your fireworm wasn’t actually a he, but a she, and after getting some encouragement from Kettlebrun, you ended up naming her Pyro Princess. Neatly writing the name on a label that the professor had handed over. In the middle of the class, you heard a small explosion, it came from a tall Slytherin boy that stood beside Severus, who quickly performed agumenti to turn off the fire.
“Excellent problem-solving skills Mr. Snape,” Kettleburn said with his squeaky voice “10 points for Slytherin.”
“But it was Rosier who caused the explosion,”  Tom complained, “That should definitely take some points from them, right?”
Beth gave him a thumbs up while Kettleburn gave it a thought “You are indeed right Mr, Harrow, Evan Rosier will get a 5 points penalty for his aggravation.” Snape rolled his eyes and placed his own label on top of his worm while the professor handed a new worm to Evan.
“Whoever has the largest worm by the end of the course, will get an automatic A,” he said before he dismissed everyone and their worms.
At that point Lily approached you, “Today’s the first reunion of the study club, we’ll be working on some homework together if you wanna join,” said Lily.
You nodded in response, “I’ll just take this little girl to a safe place and see you there, yeah?”
You parted ways with Lily once you were back inside the castle. From what Kettelebrun had explained, fireworms liked peaceful environments, and while your dorm was peaceful enough, you really did not want to burn the Gryffindor tower down because of a mishap, so you decided that the safest way to keep her was somewhere in the passageways Remus had taken you to on the first day. Once you were inside you saw another light further in the passage. Turning yours off and walking behind it quietly.
“Anyone there?” You heard a very familiar voice.
“Remus?” You asked him, turning the light of your wand back on.
“(Y/N)? What on earth are you doing here? it’s a whole labyrinth inside these tunnels, you could’ve gotten lost without a guide.”
“I’m rather good with mazes,” you said with a smile “but uh… I’m here because I wanted to find a good hiding spot for Pyro Princess.”
“You mean, your fireworm?” He asked with his eyebrows raised “You called it, Pyro Princess?!”
“Well, It’s a fireworm! What did you call yours?”
“I called him Number 1.”
“Number one? And you’re making fun of Pyro Princess?”
He gave you a stern look “I didn’t wanna get attached to it, in case it blew up.”
“Now, that’s just setting yourself up for failure. But fret not, I’m sure if we team up we can keep both Pyro and Nummie alive.”
“Nummie? Now you gave it a cutesy name too.”
“It’s just short for Number 1,” you exclaimed “So, Mr. Guide, please take us to a safe, non often used area.”
“Fine, follow me,” he said and the two of you walked through the tunnels until you found a decent hole in the wall to place the two worms. You performed a small protection charm on top of them and Remus added a small light orb on top of them to give them some light. “They’ll be alright, yeah?” He asked, to which you nodded.
“I’m thinking of brewing some calming draught, to add a few drops to their water, so that way they won’t get so anxious.”
“Oh, I’ve got some,” he said, pulling a bottle from his pocket. You frowned but decided not to question it as he placed a couple of drops on their water source. Who knows maybe Remus was a naturally anxious guy and he needed it, or maybe he was just gonna use it for a prank.
When the two of you were down with the little home area you’d created for your worms, you walked together towards the library. Lily was already sitting on a round table, Beth was by her right, and a smaller blonde girl by her left. As soon as she saw the two of you she smiled and waved “You made it.”
“Bumped into Remus on the way too.” You told her as you sat in front of her, next to Tom. Remus sat in between you and the blonde girl, who you later learned was Nina Blythe, a Ravenclaw a year younger who always joined the study group, to learn about more advanced stuff. On a table beside you were several kids from even lower years who would often stand up to ask Lily and Remus for advice or help with their classes.
You pulled out some parchment and decided to start working on your runes essay for Divination since it was the thing that would require the least effort. You’d kept your runes on a little felt bag and took them out to start writing about it; you knew most things from the top of your head. Once you were done you started working on your DADA assignment. Standing up to pull some books from the library about defensive spells you’d need. Once you returned to your spot you noticed Beth was desperately looking through a book.
“All good?” You asked her, trying to be nice.
She shook her head “I just can’t find this fucking rune anywhere.”
“Language Beth!” Lily complained, “There are children around.”
“I’m so gonna fail…”
“May I?” You asked as you extended your hand, she placed the rune on it and you brought it back to give it a closer look. “Ah... It’s Hagalaz!” you explained “It’s hard to find it because in this set it looks a lot more like an N than an H, but it’s this one,” you pointed at one of the runes in a book she had discarded earlier “It means Hail… So basically it comes from a natural disaster, em… it means that… an unavoidable change that is out of your hands will be presented to you. How destructive it might be, depends on how capable you are of weathering its storm. Kinda like The Tower in Tarot,” you finally gave the little stone back to Beth.
Everyone at the table now turned to look at you, with an air of surprise in their faces “Thought you said you weren’t good with divination,” said Tom.
“I just…” you sighed,  “I don’t want to be another divination teacher’s pet.” You responded “And I’d already seen runes a couple of years ago.”
Remus gave you a rather apprehensive look while Tom handed over another rune for you to check. Eventually, you helped everyone with the divination homework, since the set of runes Professor Spellman had handed over to revise had weird shapes on most of the little stones.
The little Ravenclaw girl next to Remus seemed disinterested in the divination stuff and just stared at her spellbook, drawing little stars and hearts over the edges. When you sat back down in your chair, you realised that in fact, she hadn’t done any work at all so far, she had her spell book and a parchment out, but it was pretty empty, and she just scribbled some random notes every now and then. You wondered why she was in a study group if she didn’t have any homework to do when you noticed her giving Remus a quick glance, before going straight back to her book. You leaned back in your chair, lousily grabbing your charms book and started “reading” while you continued to analyse her behaviour.
She would read her book, the same page she’d been on since the beginning of study group, an hour ago. Then she would scribble something illegible on her parchment, and then she’d give Remus, who was completely oblivious a quick glance. She’d play with her hair, and then go back to drawing on the edge of her book, ready to repeat the process all over again. You were almost completely certain she was madly involved with Remus, but you had to confirm your theory.
So you cut out a small piece of parchment and wrote: “follow my lead” and passed the note over to Lily from under the table. She gave you a confused glance but nodded.
“Hey Rem,” You called quietly so as not to disturb the rest, he turned to you, raising an eyebrow at the nickname “Would you mind helping me with this assignment on potions?” You asked politely, pointing at a specific one in your book “I’m not sure I know exactly how to explain this particular step, with different words.”
“Ugh…. Maybe you could use crushing?”
“Yeah, I thought about it too, but I’m not sure crushing works, since it’s more like really, really fine pieces.”
Yeah, it was a tricky question, all right? But you had to make it sound believable.
“Do you think Lily would know?” You asked.
He thought about it for a second and nodded, he then leaned towards the Ravenclaw girl “Hey Nina,” he said politely, and she turned to him, almost shocked he was talking to her “Would you mind switching with Lily for a minute?” He asked with a smile. She seemed taken aback but nodded. Standing up to switch with your redheaded friend.
You leaned closer to Remus then, almost crossing past him to talk to Lily, who seemed puzzled. You were never so much in other people’s personal space, not that Remus was bothered by it, in fact, he wasn’t uncomfortable in the slightest, he found the warmth your body emitted rather soothing. But Nina? Nina was absolutely pissed. She was shooting daggers at Lily and you as if you both had just kissed her fiancé. In retrospect, if a new girl showed up in a year and she was all over your crush, you might’ve been just as angry, but you wouldn’t make it so obvious. She was damn lucky everyone else was too busy looking at their books or they all would’ve known by now.
“Oh, you can use something like make a fine dust with the dried fairyleaves,” She said after thinking about it for a bit, she then gave you an expectant look, asking if what she’d done was fine, you nodded, with a little smile.
“Oh, that’s perfect, actually,” You said as you leaned back to your place. Feeling how much colder it was without Remus’ body heat irradiating all over you “Thanks,” you told Lily and then turned to Nina “To you too love, for switching so Lily could help.” Nina nodded, still looking a bit pissed nonetheless. You continued working on your homework assignments for a while.
At some point, you heard Tom yawn, and a couple of minutes later he was excusing himself, saying he’d finish a different day. Beth decided to walk with him. The smaller children had also started going to their dorms. As the library emptied it grew chiller, so you pulled your backpack to your knees and started looking through it, you were certain you’d packed your sweater in there, but maybe you hadn’t.
Nina checked her watch and rushed out of the library.
“Everything alright?” Remus asked when he noticed.
You turned to him and nodded “I was just looking for my sweater, I guess I left it at the dorms.”
“I’ve got mine here,” he said, pulling it out of his bag and hanging it over.
You looked at the sweater, he’d already taken it out, and you didn’t want him to feel bad, so you glanced over at Nina, you didn’t want to make her upset by taking Remus’ sweater either, but she had already left, so you took it from his hands with a smile and thanked him. Pulling it over your head in one swift movement. It was big and warm, and it smelled so nice, you were thankful you didn’t reject it. You stayed in the library until about 9 pm, when Lily yawned and checked the clock on the wall behind you, realising how late it was.
“Oh, we must go, it’s time for dinner,” she said as she started to place her things in her bag. Remus and you followed suit, you placed your parchment in between one of your larger books so the ink wouldn’t run before putting it away. Once you had everything in your bags the three of you started walking towards the Great Hall. Lily switched over to walk by your side and you were left walking in between your two friends “What was the whole potions thing about?” She asked you.
“Oh… I had to test a hypothesis,” you explained, she looked at you expectantly, as if waiting for further explanation “The little Ravenclaw girl, Nina? I thought it was odd she was in our study group but spent most of her time just drawing in her notebook.”
Lily frowned, now that she thought about it, she hadn’t seen Nina do a lot of homework last year either “And?” She pressed.
“Oh, she’s got a massive crush on Remus.”
“Ahhhh” Remus said as he downed him, “so that’s why you were calling me Rem and being all chummy.”
“I wanted to see her reaction,” you shrugged. “She was pretty pissed when she had to switch seats with Lily, I think she low-key hates us now. But…” you did a dramatic pause “She seems nice,” you teased Remus.
“She looks 12, (Y/N)!” Remus said, shaking his head in disbelief.
“But she’s got pretty eyes,” you argued back, and it was true, she had this very beautiful doe-eye look going on, and her eyes were a very intense blue.
“Who’s got pretty eyes?” Asked Sirius, who’d spotted you from behind and approached right in the middle of a conversation.
“A girl that likes Remus,” replied Lily.
“I’d say she’s madly in love with him, but I guess likes works too,” you corrected.
Sirius raised his eyebrows with a little smirk “Moony boy, were you planning on getting a girlfriend without asking for permission?”
Remus shrugged and shoved Sirius “As if I needed your permission to date someone.”
“But you do! I’m your best friend!” The shorter boy insisted “Doesn’t he Lily?”
“Remus can make his own decisions,” she shrugged.
Remus smiled, and Sirius approached you instead, clenching to your arm “You have to back me up in this one love,” he said playfully, “go ahead, tell Remus he definitely needs permission from his best friends before dating someone.”
You raised your eyebrow at him, “Not sure about permission Puppy… maybe a 3-day notice?” you teased.
“3 days? At least a week, so we get used to the idea!”
“When have you ever given us so much as a notice?” Retorted Remus.
Sirius threw his head back dramatically “Moony, you know me, I’ve never dated anyone…” Remus gave him an incredulous look “Not seriously at least.”
“Ironic,” you said, Lily laughed.
“Besides, if you dated someone, I feel like you would date them date them, not just hook up with them,” Sirius continued.
Remus laughed at that “What makes you think I haven’t hooked up with anyone?”
Sirius seemed taken aback “Because you’ve never told me?”
“Gentlemen don’t kiss and tell, Pads,” Remus responded, Lily nodded in agreement.
“Hold up!” Sirius said in shock, finally letting your arm free “Are you implying you’ve been secretly hooking up with people?” Remus only laughed in return. “Remus?!”
“Sorry Pads,” he said walking in front of him with a shit-eating grin “There are some things about me, you’ll never know.”
Sirius exhaled, defeated and grabbed your arm again “You would tell me if you hooked up with someone, right?”
You raised your eyebrows, giving Remus a quick glance, he shrugged in response, and you turned your head to Sirius “Sure Puppy, you’ll be the first one to know.” You said ironically.
“Good.” You were pretty sure he hadn’t understood your sarcasm, but Remus had and he was holding back a laugh.
By the time you arrived at the Great Hall, it was almost empty, dinner had been at 7pm, and they stopped serving at 10, so it made sense only a couple students were left. Peter and Marlene joined you for dinner later, Mary had eaten with Tom earlier and was already back at the dorms according to Mars, and James was in a quidditch team reunion with the 7th years.

Wounds of the Battle Nexus (Fluff/Angst)
2003!Raphael x reader
Tumblr media
A/N: I’ve always been a big sucker for the Battle Nexus in TMNT 2003 so I just had to do this.
-------------------------------------------
Raphael participates in the Battle Nexus but ends up getting injured. You stay with him in the medical area.
Warnings: Non graphic injuries and spelling.
--------------------------------------------
After three years of dating Raphael, you finally got to see it. The dimension between dimensions that your boyfriend and his family had been talking so much about. The Battle Nexus. Even as Master Splinter and Leonardo opened the portal, you clung to Raphael arm, excitement growing even further.
Once inside the realm of the Battle Nexus, you were in awe. Raphael had told you about many of these creatures, but you had only dreamed of the day you could see them yourself. Friendly triceratons mingled among two headed beings, talking, trading in the market or eating together.
But it was the Battle itself you had arrived for. Your boyfriend, his brother and father had decided to participate in the Battle Nexus once again. And you had asked over and over again if you could come along and watch it. And well, it didn’t take long for Raphael to say yes. And as you sat among several of the turtle’s friends and watched the turtles, their father and friends fight in the ring, you were more than happy to be there.
The Battle Nexus had been a chaotic whirlwind of adversaries, pushing the turtles and every contestant to their limits. Round after round the brothers moved up, until one was to be the first to lose. That one would be Michelangelo, being teleported out of the ring with just minor injuries.
The next round it was Leonardo and the round after that it was Donatello, leaving Raphael as the last turtle, now going straight to the semi final. You cheered and celebrated proudly as your boyfriend entered the ring for the semi final, to fight against what looked like a big guy made of stone, carrying a big sword in one hand. The gyoji started the semi final with a bang of his gong. The crowd started cheering as the four computers started going at it. Raphael found himself facing off against a formidable opponent, his adrenaline pumping with every clash of his sai against the stone giant.
As Raphael dodged one attack after the other, he caught the sight of you out of the side of his eye. His heart swelled a bit as he saw you jumped and screamed his name in encouragement. Oh how he loved you and the way you raised your arms whenever he landed a blow.
It looked as if Raph was about to gain the upper hand on his stone opponent, until he was surprised by a giant uppercut and thrown against the stone wall. The whole crowd gasped as Raphael fell onto the ground on his hands and knees. The air was heavy with a mix of exhaustion and tension. Raphael, usually quick to recover, winced as he tried to assess the extent of his injuries. His plastron bore scratches and the back of his shell was aching a bit. It had most likely cracked a bit. Raph raised on to one foot, his sai, though still firmly in hand, trembled slightly from the strain. Raph wanted to stand and continue fighting, but his body made the decision for him, his legs giving out under him, causing him to call on his end before being teleported out of the ring and into the medical area. You wasted no time leaving your seat, running to find Raphael.
When you made it to the medical area, Raph was putting up a struggle, refusing to let anyone treat him, let alone touch him. His brothers and Master Splinter tried in vain to calm him down, while the physicians kept being pushed away by the angry turtle.
“Get ya nasty paws off me!”, he grunted, trying to stand from the futon they had placed him on. “I don’t need no help from anybody!”
"Raph”. Your boyfriend looked in your direction at the sound of his name, watching you step into the room. His brothers breathed a sigh of relief. “You need to sit down," you insisted, concern etching your features. He grunted in agreement, acknowledging the pain that radiated through his body. The adrenaline that had fueled his movements was replaced by a dull ache, and the reality of their physical toll began to set in. You had always had a calming effect on Raphael. You made him relax and listen to reason.
Raphael laid back on the futon before turning to his side, letting the physician look at his shell. You took a seat on a cushion next to him, before taking one of his three fingered hands in yours. The boys and Master Splinter took this as their que to leave.
Raphael met your gaze, a mixture of gratitude and hesitation in his eyes. You knew that look very well. He was happy that you were there, but he was sad. Maybe even embarrassed. You stroked his hand with your thumb, as a way to tell him that he had no reason to feel embarrassed.
The physician finished dressing his wound on his shell, before moving on to the rest of his body, all while Raph stayed silent. You knew that Raph did not wish to speak while the physician was there. No, he wished to talk to you alone with no one listening. That was what Raphael was most comfortable with, especially after a situation like this. But all while the two of you waited for the physician to finish, you sat there, stroking his hand while sending him soft smiles.
Raphael watched the physician leave before he turned towards you. He didn’t say a word, but instead opened his arms up, inviting you to lay down beside me. With a smile you did so, getting comfortable on the futon while making sure you didn’t accidentally hurt him any further.
“How are you feeling?”, you asked, your hand finding his face to stroke his cheek.
“Beat”, Raph answered, leaning into your hand. “My shell aches”.
“How else are you feeling?”, you asked him. Knowing your boyfriend well, you knew he was hiding some feelings away.
Raphael nuzzled his head closer to yours, ducking so that his forehead was pressed against your nose. “Dumb”.
“And why are you feeling dumb?”, you asked, continuing to stroke his cheek.
“I lost”.
“Raphael, you made it all the way to the semi final and you kept up against a stone giant. I wouldn’t call that a loss".
“You wouldn’t?” Raphael looked you in the eyes.
“No, I wouldn’t”, you said with a smile, caressing his cheek once more. “You may nor have won the title of the Battle Nexus champion, but you will always be a champion in my eyes”.
Raphael ducked his head under yours once more, before wrapping an arm around your wait, pulling you closer to his plastron.
“I’m damn lucky to have ya”, he said, nuzzling his head further against you. “I love ya (Y/N)”.
You chuckled, letting your fingers trace over his scalp. “I love you too, Raph”. You pressed your lips to his forehead, hearing him hum in relaxation. “My champion”.

Jasper Whitlock/Hale x Fem!Werewolf!Reader
Request:

much love xxx<3
Warning(s): Canon-level violence and related mentions of blood, broken bones, etc.
Notes: My first twilight imagine! Yay! This is way too long but I hope you like it. I had to rewatch Eclipse to write this. Honestly, the movies are pretty good all things considered.
Summary: Wolves and Vampires are meant to be mortal enemies. But, occasionally, there are times they work well together. Fighting newborn vampires is one of those times. Of course, you and Jasper never liked the whole rivalry in the first place.
Tumblr media
You met Jasper in the woods.
The only place you could go to be what you truly were. Do what you truly loved. And that was running.
Whether it was in wolf-form or not, you would run through the trees and feel the wind whipping at your face. It was freeing, you felt connected to your roots and to the wolf inside you.
You usually ran alone, since no one could ever keep up with you. Not even Jacob. Hell, Jacob’s motorcycle couldn’t keep up with you.
Your dad, Billy, said it was a special spiritual connection you had, being able to run so fast without shifting into wolf form.
A running partner would be nice though, someone to talk to while running instead of just filtering between your thoughts and Sam’s, and Jared’s, and Paul’s until you got far enough away for radio silence.
You thought about asking Sam a couple of times, but he was such a stick in the mud you knew he’d kill your vibe if he even agreed to go. And Paul and Jared got on your nerves so you didn’t even let your mind go there.
It was kind of lonely sometimes.
But not today.
You weren’t sure if it was werewolf instincts or basic human intuition, but you could tell someone (or something) was following you.
If it was Jacob or any of the other boys, you could recognize their scent a mile away, but there was nothing. You couldn’t smell anything (wasn’t close enough) and there was nothing to see or hear, but it was definitely there.
The scent of fresh blood nearby made it seem like it was a predator. Perhaps a mountain lion or a real wolf, which didn’t worry you as much as the alternative. If push came to shove, you could take one of those things.
Something flashed through the trees overhead and you gasped, feet digging into the dirt as you skidded to a stop.
Your heart was pounding as you glared at the forest around you. Something was there. You could smell it.
“Where are you?” You said, softly, more to yourself than to the creature stalking you.
You heard leaves rustle and followed the sound, turning in circles and getting increasingly more worried as the thing circled you. “Show yourself, coward!”
God, you wished you could get that telepathic link back and call for help. You supposed you could shift and howl if things got really desperate. But that sounded humiliating, especially if this thing was a vampire.
A large sense of calm suddenly washed over you, the weight of worry lifting from your shoulders and you sighed almost involuntarily.
A man walked out from behind a tree.
“Sorry,” he said. “I had to get close enough to calm you down. Didn’t mean to scare you.”
He was blond and lean and he smelled like rotten candy. His skin was riddled with scars, spaced thickly together on his neck and jaw. Others lined his arms in a faded white that told stories. He had been in more fights than you could imagine, and he'd never lost.
His eyes were strikingly gold, but there was a darkness behind them.
You had the feeling you’d do anything for him. If he asked you to kill yourself you would without hesitation.
And oh- oh no.
Panic began to build again and the handsome stranger strengthened his gaze on you, your emotions shifting back to calm. But there was something else, too.
That desperate, longing feeling…the strong desire had vanished too.
“Wh-what did you do to me?”
The man’s face softened. “I just calmed you down. That’s my ability; I can control emotions.”
“A-ability? What are you-“
You felt like a bucket of cold water had been poured over you as the realization set in. It made sense: the speed, the smell, the golden eyes.
Your imprint was a vampire.
“I’m Jasper,” He said. “I know your scared. This is not a normal thing… at all, but Alice- uh, a girl in my family, she can see the future. And she saw us, together.”
It was all too much at once. You felt like you were drowning. You couldn’t get over the simple fact that a vampire was your imprint.
The creature that caused your transformation- your extremely painful and terrifying transformation- was your soulmate. The perfect match for you.
God, your ancestors must be rolling in their graves.
“I-I’m sorry…this is just so strange. I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around it…” you said.
“That’s alright.” He- Jasper replied. “Can I come closer?”
He was stood about ten feet away from you, a respectable distance, which you were thankful for.
You took a moment to consider before replying. He was a vampire, he could kill you without a second thought, but he was also your imprint. He’d come so close to Quilete land just to find you and he’d been nothing but kind since he revealed himself.
“Okay… yeah, yeah, you can come closer.”
He smiled, relieved, and closed the distance between you.
As he neared, you realized how tall he was. But instead of threatening, it was charming.
And his scars, you realized with horror, were bite marks.
Jasper chuckled. “I didn’t think the wet dog smell would go away, but I was prepared to make sacrifices.”
You smiled, feeling more at ease (whether that was yourself or his powers, you didn’t know, but would come to learn the difference). “And you don’t smell like rotten candy anymore.”
That made him laugh. “I didn’t know we had such an aroma.”
That desire was starting to creep back in. You wanted to know everything about him, wanted to be near him all the time, wanted to smell the sweetness of him. It was a pleasant feeling and wasn’t unwelcome any longer. You guessed that’s why most shifters felt happiest by their imprintee.
He reached up a hand and caressed your cheek.
“Your hands are cold,” you said.
“I’m sorry.” He replied, retracting his hand.
“No, no,” you grabbed it gently and placed it back on your cheek. “I like it.”
If vampires could blush you were sure he would’ve.
You kept one hand over his and used the other to feel up his arm and over his chest, trying to commit every curve to memory.
“And you’re so warm,” he whispered, placing his other hand on your waist and pulling you ever so closer.
“I guess we’re a good match then,” you replied, just as softly. It felt strange to be so intimate with someone you’d just met. But nothing had ever felt so right.
“Can I kiss you?” He asked.
You hummed. “Yes, please,”
His lips were cold, like the rest of his skin, but they were soft and gentle, easing into the kiss. Your stomach fluttered and you shivered as he ran his hands up your arms before curling around your back.
Your fingers knotted in his hair, pulling him closer, wanting more.
That desire inside strengthened, but you supposed that was just the way it felt to kiss your soulmate. And, god, did it feel good. The same hands that could end your life in a single motion were holding you tenderly.
You finally pulled away to catch your breath (Jasper could’ve stayed right there kissing you forever) and pressed your forehead against his.
“By the way,” you said. “My name is Y/N.”
It was the scandal of the century when you left the pack to be with a vampire.
Your dad didn’t like it, but he supported your choice. And, unlike your brother, he still talked to you when you visited.
Jacob practically disowned you. He hated vampires and it only got worse when Bella Swan fell in love with Edward.
Jacob felt like the Cullens were taking away everyone he loved and they were going to turn them into cold, heartless bloodsuckers.
Which was preposterous at best. All the Cullens were very aware of themselves and what it means to be a vampire. Most of them didn’t have a choice in the matter, being what they are. And despite them not beating, they still had hearts.
Hearts that welcomed you and loved you the moment you stepped through their door.
Well, Rosalie needed some convincing and Edward was less than thrilled, but the others were great!
Of course, it was an adjustment having an alive person in the house and not wanting to rip their throat out. You just made sure to avoid bleeding at any cost, as if that wasn’t something you already did.
Alice immediately accepted you as her sister and you thanked her for leading Jasper to you, which she insisted wasn’t necessary.
And Bella, the girl you once babysat over summer, was surprised to see you when she visited with Edward the first time.
“Y/N?” She said when you came into the room with Jasper.
The two of you had just been out hunting/running and you smiled wide when you saw her. “Bella!”
You guys hugged.
“Wha- why are you here? Jacob said you weren’t around anymore.”
“Um. I’m not, sort of.” You replied. “Let’s talk in the other room shall we?”
“What’s going on, are you a vampire, too?” Bella asked.
“I can’t believe you know that already, but no, I’m not a vampire. I’m...something else. I can’t tell you what I am, you know too much already. I’m with Jasper though. He’s, uh...he’s like my soulmate.”
“Soulmate?” Bella said. “Vampires have those?”
“I guess?”
Of course, Bella was the start of SO many more problems. James, Victoria, and Laurent, Bella’s papercut, the Cullens leaving town (and leaving you and Bella behind), Bella finding out about the pack, and the Volturi finding out about Bella and you.
But those events had brought an understanding between you and the boys.
Which brings you to where you were now, celebrating Bella’s graduation.
“Quil, Embry, Jake!” You threw yourself into each of their arms, hugging them. “So glad you guys came!”
Jasper was standing nearby, not one to leave your side very long, and Jacob shot him a sour look.
“Hey, Y/N!” Embry replied, ever the optimist. “You need to come visit again soon. Sam sucks as a wrestling referee.”
You laughed. “Give me a call next time and I’ll be there.”
“Will do.”
“Seth misses you, too,” Quil said. “Won’t shut up about how you made life with Leah more bearable.”
“Oh, you guys should leave her alone.” You chastised. “She’s just as sour as Sam, anyway,”
The boys shrugged and grinned. Neither conforming nor denying your words.
You glanced over to the stairway to see Bella and Jasper talking to Alice. Alice looked frightened. And that was never good.
“They’ll be here in four days,” Alice said, once the present Cullens and the four shifters gathered in a side room.
“This could turn into a bloodbath,” Carlisle said.
You exchanged a look with Jasper.
“Who’s behind it?” Edward asked.
“I didn’t see anyone I recognized.” Alice said. “Maybe one.”
“I know his face,” Edward said, reading Alice’s thoughts. “He’s local. Riley Biers...he didn’t start this.”
“Whoever did is staying out of the action.”
“Must be playing with the blind spots in your vision,” Carlisle said.
“Either way,” Jasper spoke up. “The army’s coming and there aren’t enough of us to protect the town.”
“Hold on,” Jacob said. “What damn army?”
“Newborns.” Carlisle explained. “Our kind.”
“What?” Jacob turned on you. “Did you know about this?”
You shrugged and smiled sheepishly. Yeah, you did.
“What are they after?” Embry asked.
“They were passing around Bella’s scent,” Alice said. “A red blouse.”
“They’re after Bella?” Jacob said. “What the hell does this mean?”
“It means an ugly fight,” Carlisle said. “With lives lost.”
Jacob looked to Quil and Embry, a decision being made between them.
“Alright,” He said. “We’re in.”
“No,”
“Bella-”
“You’ll get yourselves killed, no way.”
You sighed, resisting the urge to roll your eyes.
“I wasn’t asking for permission,” Jacob said, lowly.
“Edward,” Bella pleaded, looking towards her boyfriend to back her up.
He gave her no such rewards, looking between the boys and Bella before saying, “It means more protection for you.”
“No, I won’t let you do this, Jake,”
“He can take care of himself, Bella,” You said, glaring at her.
“That’s not what I meant!”
“Then what was it?”
“Look, just because you decided to abandon them-”
“Oh, that’s rich coming from you!”
“Enough!” Carlisle interrupted. “Jacob. Do you think Sam would agree to...an understanding?”
Jacob’s jaw tightened and he got that brooding look in his eye. “As long as we get to kill some vampires.”
Asshole.
“Jasper?”
You looked to your boyfriend who had been sitting quietly next to you for the better part of the conversation.
“They’ll give us the numbers,” he said. “Newborns won’t even know they exist. It’ll give us an edge.”
“We’ll need to coordinate.”
“Carlisle, they’re gonna get hurt.” Bella protested.
You bit down on your tongue and Jasper sent a wave of calm over you.
“We’ll all need some training,” Carlisle replied. “Fighting newborns requires knowledge that Jasper has. You’re welcome to join us.”
Jacob nodded. “Alright. Name the time and place.”
“Jake. You don’t know what you’re getting yourself into.”
“Bella, this is what we do.” Jacob replied, icily. “You should be happy. Look at us. Working together.”
He looked over at you. “And you are the one that wanted us to get along, right?”
“Asshole.” You said, a bit of a smile tugging at your lips
“Bitch.” He replied, smirking.
After that you returned to the Cullen house. Not much was said as you and Jasper lounged on the couch, reading. You could tell he was thinking about the approaching fight and his past battles because he never turned a page.
When Edward returned from dropping off Bella, you could tell by the way he stalked into the room that he was looking for an argument.
“Must you always provoke her?” He asked.
You looked up from your book. “What, did the princess complain about me the whole way home?”
The disgusted look on Edward’s face only grew at your reply. “What’s your problem with her? I thought you and her were friends.”
You snapped your book shut. “Look. She may have you and my brother wrapped around her little finger, but not me. Someone has to be the bearer of bad news that the world doesn’t revolve around Bella Swan.”
“She’s in danger, Y/N. The least you could do is try to be civil.”
“Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t know that she was the only life that mattered here-”
“Stop.” Jasper said, sternly. The snapping of his book closed filling the room and shutting the two of you up. “Edward’s right. If you can’t keep this little rivalry you have-”
“Rivalry?” You were standing now, absolutely aghast at his accusation.
“Y/N-” He began, reaching out for you, eyes trained on you.
“Don’t.” You spat. “Don’t play with my emotions right now. Don’t you dare.”
He had the decency to look guilty about it.
You stormed out of the room, making sure to knock into Edward’s shoulder as you headed for the balcony.
The anger was bubbling up. If you didn’t leave now you’d shift in the house and destroy something or hurt someone. And it helped that you couldn’t stand being in the same room as those two right now.
You climbed onto the railing and dove off, shifting halfway down and landing on all fours. You took off running into the woods, making sure to howl to really twist the knife in Jasper’s gut.
Rivalry? You thought. Rivalry?! Who does he think he is? We don’t have a rivalry. It’s not like were competing for a spot on team Cullen. Bella’s just like that annoying younger sister who gets everything she wants, leaving you to the sidelines. To rot like second best-
You skidded to a stop.
Oh, shit. Am I jealous of her? No. No way. Not jealous, just...
The anger began to dissipate into confusion and hurt.
It made sense all of the sudden. You were jealous of Bella.
You’d tried for years to get the tribe and the Cullens to get along. They made you choose. To pick between family and love. But then Bella came along and was able to live in both worlds. She didn’t have to pick.
It helped that she was pretty ignorant to it all for a while. You knew too much, more than she did. You knew the tribe’s history, to the connection to vampires. You knew all of the Cullen’s darkest secrets and dreaded pasts. You were fully immersed in a way she never could be.
And it wasn’t that you wanted any evil vampires to try to kill you, but it would be nice to not have to face the consequences for the choices Bella makes. For her to undo all the progress you’d made just by existing.
It would be easier if you were a vampire instead of a shifter. You can’t say you hadn’t thought about asking Jasper to...well, he’d never agree to it anyway. And who knows what it would do to you.
You shifted back, realizing where you were. Stopped dead in the same spot you’d met him. In that little clearing between the trees.
The leaves rustled in the wind and you shivered. Your clothes had ripped off with your transformation, leaving you cold and alone.
But you couldn’t go back. Not yet. You were still mad, even though the anger was gone. His words hurt. You weren’t ready to see him yet.
So, you shifted back into a wolf and curled up against a tree. A nice sleep in the woods might help you clear your head.
You sensed Jasper before you saw him. Your eyes opened as you caught that familiar sweet scent that only he carried.
You sat up, having turned back into a human sometime through the night, and rubbed your eyes. “I know you’re there. You can come out.”
He slunk out from the trees. He was carrying a fresh pair of clothes for you and had a blanket slung over his shoulder. You could’ve kissed him.
He handed them to you gently, allowing you to reach out and take them from him.
He kept his distance as you dressed, about ten feet away.
Once dressed, you tossed the blanket over your shoulders and smiled tiredly at him. “Now doesn’t this look familiar?”
Jasper chuckled. “Can I come closer?”
You nodded, beckoning him forward. “Come on,”
He sat next to you, wrapping an arm around your shoulders and you rested your head on his shoulder.
“I’m sorry for what I said. That wasn’t what I meant and I should’ve thought about my words before I spoke.”
You shook your head. “No, you were right. I’m carrying this distain for Bella and I need to let it go. It’s not making anyone happy and if her and Edward are going to be together, I’m gonna have to get used to it.”
Jasper hummed, kissing your temple. “She could never replace you, you know?”
“Yeah...thank you.”
“We’re supposed to go meet with the wolves for training in a few hours. Do you want to go back to the house for breakfast beforehand?” He asked.
You furrowed your eyebrows. “But you guys don’t eat?”
“I...may have bought a bunch of your favorite breakfast foods. To make up for my mistake.” He said, a little sheepishly.
You laughed. “Never change, Jasper Whitlock.”
“Is that a yes?”
“That’s a yes.”
You both stood, holding hands.
“Do you think...” You bit your lip. “Can I invite Bella over? I can’t eat all of that breakfast by myself.”
Jasper smiled. “That’s my girl.”
Emmett flew through the air, hitting the ground with a crash that would’ve killed any human. But he got up with a ferocity in his eyes and said, “again.”
Edward pulled up in his silver jeep carrying you and Bella in it and parked half-hazardly in between two trees.
You got out from the backseat and immediately went to Jasper’s side.
“Wouldn’t even let us eat breakfast alone,” You whispered. “I think he thinks I’m gonna eat her or something.”
Jasper bit back a laugh and turned with the rest of the family as the Uley back emerged from the trees. All ferocious and upset looking.
“They don’t trust us enough to be in their human forms,” Edward explained.
“They came, that’s what matters,” Carlisle replied. “Will you translate?”
Edward nodded.
Carlisle and Jasper approached the pack, standing before Sam, Jared, and Paul. You hung back by Bella and Alice. Last thing that bridge needed was a loose board.
“Welcome,” He began. “Jasper has experience with newborns. He’ll teach us how to defeat them.”
“They wanna know how the newborns are different from us.”
“They’re a great deal stronger than us,” Carlisle explained. “Because their own human blood lingers in their tissues. Our kind is never more physically powerful than in our first several months in this life.”
With no further questions from Sam, Carlisle turns the speech over to Jasper, who swaggers to the center of the group’s gaze like he was made for it.
“Carlisle’s right,” He said. “That’s why they are created. A newborn army doesn’t need thousands like a human army. And no human army could stand against them.”
A growl from Sam.
“Now, the two most important things to remember are first, never let them get their arms around you - they will crush you instantly - and second...never go for the obvious kill.”
You smirked.
“They’ll be expecting that. And you. Will lose.”
Jasper turned to his side of the group. “Emmet.”
Now things were going to get interesting.
(Tbh just go watch the scene on YouTube for this, not much changes besides the Alice and Jasper stuff and there’s a bit extra at the end.)
“Don’t hold back.”
“Not in my nature,” Emmet replied, grinning.
You nudged Bella and she looked at you. You lifted your fingers and counted off three, two, one-
Emmett surged forward, plowing into Jasper's middle like a football player. Jasper, expecting this, planted his feet and dug them into the dirt as he was pushed backward.
Emmet threw him over his shoulder, sending Jasper spiraling into the air and landing messily on the forest floor, but never falling. He sprang up and sprinted right back into the fight.
Emmett swung, Jasper ducked and caught his arm, sending him onto the forest floor.
Jasper smirked. “Never lose focus.”
You hoped the pack couldn’t smell the desire radiating off of you.
Edward and Carlisle squared up to demonstrate next, Jasper looking on as a coach.
Carlisle gave a curt nod and the fight began. Carlisle slid, Edward jumped over. Boom, back up and running. They caught each other by the neck, forcing each of them to make steps backward.
You glanced at Jasper, who was expressionless, silently observing. You heard Sam growl from nearby.
Edward went spiraling as Carlisle threw him over his shoulder. You felt Bella tense next to you.
Carlisle threw a punch, Edward ducked, Carlisle went for another and Edward caught him by the chest, sending him to the ground.
Edward straightened up cockily.
“And one more thing,” Jasper said.
Carlisle grabbed Edward by the leg, reversing their positions.
“Never turn your back on your enemy.”
Sam seemed slightly impressed, if his expression changing from a snarl to indifference was any sign.
Jasper beckoned Rosalie forward with two fingers. She sauntered up like she’d rather be doing anything else, which was probably true.
Punch. Punch. Jasper ducked each time, her jabs missing him. He caught her arm, she spiraled and landed gracefully in a bent position.
Poser, you thought with a grin.
Alice was next. And you never underestimate Alice.
Jasper was on the offense this time and Alice moved out of striking range every time like it was the easiest thing in the world, cartwheeling out of his reach.
Jasper advanced again, throwing punches that didn’t (and wouldn’t) connect. Then, Alice disappeared. Jasper, used to knowing people’s next moves, was confused.
You glanced up, just in time to see Alice drop from the tree behind Jasper and send him to the ground.
"Y/N. You’re up.” Jasper said as Alice walked back towards Bella.
You nodded, quickly taking off into the trees to shift.
You came back in your wolf form. A brown wolf, similar to Jacob, but a little darker. Jasper almost lost himself admiring you, but it was hard to ignore when a giant wolf was running at you.
He caught your form, his hands almost making it around you before you rolled and pushed him with your back feet. Jasper grunted, falling onto his butt and watching as you summersaulted in the air and landed on all fours above him.
Jasper was slightly turned on, but only smirked at you sexily. You rolled your eyes and got off him, to which he responded by jumping on your back.
You felt his weight and immediately leapt up, sending him back to the ground.
He stood up as you rushed back into the trees to turn back.
“Sometimes you won’t be able to get the newborn off of you so easily,” Jasper said to the pack. “Like we said, they’re strong.”
“But that’s what you guys are there for right?” You said, clutching on to Jasper’s arm. You were dressed down now, in a simple tank top and leggings.
“Correct,” Jasper said softly, tilting his head and smiling.
He hardened as he turned back to the wolves. “We will do our best to keep each of you safe, just as you will do for us. And if in doubt. Go for the head.”
That about wrapped it up for the day, so the wolves left and the Cullens regrouped to go home.
Jasper and Bella were talking so you went to Edward, who was watching the interaction intensely.
“You know, she’s not gonna die if you take your eyes off of her for a second.” You said, nudging him.
He looked at you. “Thank you. For trying.”
You shrugged. “I needed to get my head out of my ass. Now it’s her turn.”
Edward frowned, but didn’t comment further.
You pricked up suddenly, feeling Jasper’s emotions changing from pride to guilt and sadness. You immediately knew what he was talking about, so you walked over, Alice not far away.
“I thought what Maria and I had was love,” He said. “But I was her puppet, she pulled the strings. I didn’t know there was another way...until I found Alice. Well, she seen me coming, of course.”
“Kept me waiting long enough,” Alice joked, walking up to him and leaning on his shoulder.
Jasper chuckled sadly, tears in his eyes. “My apologies, ma’am.”
You smiled softly.
“I don’t know what I’d’ve become without her. She brought me to Y/N. And she, well,” he looked over at you, his golden eyes meeting your (e/c) ones. “She taught me what real love was.”
Bella smiled.
Jasper walked over to you, taking your hand and kissing you as he’d wanted to all morning.
When you pulled away, he was serious.
“You don’t think less of me for my past, do you? I know I’ve done some pretty awful things, but I don’t think I could-”
“Hey,” You interrupted, touching his face. Your warm hand calming him down. “I could never think less of you. I love you. And the past is in the past. You never have to be that person again. We’re good, okay?”
He smiled. “Yes, ma’am.”
You raised an eyebrow.
“Yes, darlin’“
“That’s better.”
You met Jacob in the clearing where the fight would be. Edward, Bella, Jasper, and you coming from one side and a shirtless Jacob from the other.
You resisted the urge to roll your eyes. “You own a shirt?”
“You’re not fighting?” Jacob asked, ignoring you and directing his words at Edward. “What, you pull a muscle or something?”
“He’s doing it for me, okay?” Bella defended.
“Whatever,” Jacob drawled back.
Now you rolled your eyes. Oh, the never-ending love triangle at it again.
“Just tell me the plan.”
“This field will give us an advantage in battle,” Jasper explained. “We need to lure them here with Bella’s scent. And it needs to end here.”
“Edward and I are going on a campsite,” Bella said. “Even if he carries me, they’ll still pick up on our scent.”
“Your stench, however, is revolting.” Edward snapped.
You frowned but didn’t comment.
“Dude, you really don’t want to start comparing stinks,” Jacob retorted.
“What he means is,” Bella interjected. “That your scent will mask mine if you carry me.”
Jacob gave a curt nod. “Done.”
“This is not a good idea,” Edward said.
“It’ll work,” Jasper replied. “They won’t want to get anywhere near his...odor.”
“Rude,” You said, jokingly.
“Your odor, however, is delightful.” He said to you.
“Aw, thanks.”
“Okay, stop,” Jacob said, pulling a face. “Let’s try it.”
Bella walked over and Jacob picked her up.
“Ode of wolf, coming up,” He said.
Edward grimaced.
“Run.”
Doing as he was told (for once), Jacob took off into the woods.
After a few minutes, Jasper took off into the woods, too. Tracking for any signs of Bella’s scent.
“Soooo,” You started. Being left alone with Edward was not your version of fun, but your nose wouldn’t be of any service. Different species senses and all that.
“Don’t start,” Edward replied.
“Wasn’t gonna,” You said with a shrug. “But you really should calm down. Your worry is almost as potent as Jake’s odor.”
“Could you step back? Your odor is really starting to bother me, makes my eyes water.”
“Oh, is that how it’s gonna be?” You asked with a challenging grin.
Edward cracked a smile.
“Alright, mind-reader, you don’t wanna smell all the scents I can conjure up.”
“All I picked up was wolf stench,” Jasper said, coming back out of the woods. “No Bella.”
“Good work, Major Whitlock,” You teased, he bumped you with his hip.
Edward still seemed uneasy, despite your lighthearted conversation.
“This will work,” Jasper reassured.
“Great.” Edward replied, shortly.
Great indeed.
When the day finally came, you were nervous.
Not that you doubted the Cullen’s or the pack’s abilities to win the fight. It was just that things always seemed to go wrong even with the best laid plans. You had this terrible pit in your stomach.
You almost forgot about it, waking up in Jasper’s arms was business as usual and he did nothing to make it seem like he was nervous.
“Good morning,” Jasper whispered.
“Morning,” You replied, groggily.
Jasper didn’t sleep, of course, but he didn’t mind holding you while you did. He even closed his eyes, just to relax and focus and think. Sometimes you wondered if that was the closest thing to sleeping he got.
You stretched out of his grip and sat up, remembering what day it was. “When are they coming?”
“Soon.”
“Right. Soon.” You stood up and headed for the bathroom to prepare yourself for the fight. That was when the worry started to creep in.
Jasper noticed, of course he did.
“Hey,” he said when you walked back out of the bathroom. “This’ll work.”
You nodded, taking a deep breath. “I know, I know. I always worry about this stuff.”
“Would you like me to...?”
You shook your head. “No, not yet. I’ve gotta work through this or it might come back with a vengeance later when you’re preoccupied. And we don’t need that.”
He nodded in understanding.
You chuckled as he walked up to you, playing with your fingers. “You can tell we’re opposing monsters, the way we dress.”
Jasper, forever cold, was dressed in dark jeans, a dark t-shirt, and a button up underneath a heavier jacket. You, forever warm, were dressed in a pair of yoga shorts and a loose t-shirt.
He pressed his forehead against yours, eyes closing. You closed your eyes in return, taking the moment to breath him in and accept the moment of peace before the battle.
He kissed you softly.
“Have you got everything?” He asked.
You threw your bag over your shoulder. “Yeah, I think so. Just my spare clothes.”
“Good. It’s time to go.”
When you got to the clearing, you could smell Bella’s blood everywhere. On the trees, in the grass, on the rocks. Oh yeah, this would work.
“The storm really hit here,” You said.
“Well, hopefully we can use that to our advantage,” Jasper replied before turning to you. “Are you ready for this?”
“Well, I don’t take pleasure in killing innocents, but I’ll do it to protect my family.” You replied.
“We appreciate everything you’ve done for us, Y/N,” Carlisle said.
You smiled softly. “Thanks. I have to go.”
“Be safe,” Jasper replied, kissing your forehead. “I’ll see you on the battlefield.”
“Aye, aye, Captain.” You said, mock saluting before running off into the trees to find the pack.
“She’ll be fine, Jasper,” Alice said.
He nodded. “I know she will be.”
When you reached the pack you noticed a significant absence of your brother. “Where’s Jake?”
“On his way.” Sam replied, bluntly.
“Yeah, he wanted to help protect precious Bella overnight,” Embry joked.
You nodded. “Course he did.”
“It’s time,” Sam said.
All of you shifted in unison, hearing the sounds of the newborns ripping through the trees.
The entire newborn army blitzed out of the woods and into the field. There’s a frenzy in their eyes. Their thirst rabid at the scent of Bella’s blood. But it ends there and they are met with the Cullens, ready and willing to defend.
The two sides meet in a flurry of shouts.
Jasper claims the first kill, knocking one of the newborn’s heads clean off his shoulders with a single punch.
The newborns have the numbers, but are inexperienced and sloppy. They swing and miss and the Cullen’s gain the upper hand almost easily, but they can’t account for them all.
That is when the wolves come in.
Sam’s large, black wolf jumps over the threshold first, taking the first wolf kill for himself. He is followed closely by you and the rest of the pack.
It’s unexpected, and the newborns are brought down easily by the shifters.
You’ve blacked out at this point, allowing the wolf to take over your actions so you won’t be burdened with the guilt and memory of killing these people. These kids.
It’s too easy to rip into them. Their skin cracking like glass and ripping like paper.
Jacob rips through the trees and attacks immediately. You wish he could hear your thoughts so you could tell him he was an idiot and to be careful.
In your distracted state, one of the newborns managed to get you to the ground. You flailed and rolled, trying to get him off of you.
Jasper ran through three newborns to get to you, a fury in his eyes. He wouldn’t lose you. Not like this. Not ever.
He rips through the newborn’s head like it’s made of water.
You make eye contact with him, a silent thanks, and the battle continues.
It almost isn’t fair how easily your side takes them down. No training, no preparation. Almost like they were...a distraction.
You looked around, trying to spot Victoria’s red hair in the crowd or the trees. She was gone. She was going for Edward and Bella.
You howled, hoping they or Seth would hear you and be prepared.
Then, it was like a door opened up in your mind. Seth’s thoughts came streaming in like someone was adjusting the tuneage on a radio, distorted at first then became clearer and clearer.
Thanks, Y/N. It’s over.
You sighed, thankful.
“Y/N,”
You startled, looking over to see Jasper approaching you. You shifted back.
“It’s over,” You said. “Victoria’s dead.”
“It’s not over,” Jasper replied, looking over his shoulder at Alice, standing before the burning pile.
She had that dead look in her eyes that she got whenever she got a vision.
“Alice, what is it?” You asked, pulling Jasper’s coat over your body.
“The Volturi,” She said. “They’re coming.”
You and Jasper exchanged a look.
“How long?”
Bella and Edward appeared from the trees, finally approaching the group.
“Fifteen minutes. Maybe ten?”
“The pack needs to leave. The Volturi won’t honor our truce with the werewolves.” Carlisle said.
“I’m not going anywhere,” You growled.
“I didn’t ask you to,” Carlisle clarified. “But you need to tell the pack to leave.”
You nodded, turning towards where Leah stood, watching over. Jake came out of the trees to join her and see what was happening.
A stray newborn emerged as well.
That pit in your stomach grew bigger, you opened your mouth to shout, only to be cut off by Leah growling and heading straight for the newborn.
“Leah don’t!” You and Edward shouted together.
The newborn got his arms around her and you panicked, ripping off Jasper’s coat and shifting as Jacob ran over to help her.
He caught him by the neck, ripping him off of Leah’s back.
The two wrestled and you checked on Leah, she was fine and you ran for Jacob.
But it was too late. You heard the cracking of his bones just as you managed to get there, snatching the newborn off Jacob’s back.
Sam and Paul joined you in ripping him apart.
This one you took pleasure in.
Jacob shifted back, his body responding to the pain.
“Jacob!” Bella cried, running over to him.
Edward and Carlisle beat her there, tending to him to find out what was wrong.
“The bones on the right half of his body are shattered,” Carlisle explained.
You and the pack came running out from the trees, all now at least partially dressed.
“Jacob, you idiot, I had it!”
“Leah,” Sam scolded, joining you and the others knelt at Jacob’s side.
“I need to set the bones before his accelerated healing sets in,” Carlisle said. “It’s already starting.”
“We need to get him out of here,” Edward said. “We’re not gonna win a fight with the Volturi.”
“We’ll take him back to Billy’s,” Sam said.
“I’ll be there as soon as I can,” Carlisle replied.
“Hang in there, Jake,” Bella said.
“You’ll be okay, Jacob,” You said, squeezing the half of his body that’s not shattered.
You watched anxiously as the pack carried Jacob away, that pit in your stomach the biggest its ever been.
A wave of calm settled itself over you and you knew it was Jasper when he touched your shoulder. “He’ll be alright,”
You nodded, “I know.”
You didn’t.
“They’re coming!” Alice shouted.
Jasper’s wave of calm wasn’t helping. Your worry and sadness shifted into anger at Alice’s words. You shifted.
The Volturi appeared out of the forest in the haze of fog that had settled after the storm. Their eyes the same startling red you remembered from meeting them the first time.
Jasper stood in front of your wolf form, clinging to you, ready to fight if needed.
Edward did the same to Bella.
The Cullens were eerily quiet.
Their hoods came down and you resisted the urge to growl. The Volturi had sent their lackies, the youngest (or rather the youngest looking) of their cult to approach you.
“Impressive,” Jane said. “I’ve never seen a coven escape an assault of this magnitude intact.”
“We were lucky,” Carlisle replied, diplomatically.
“I doubt that,” Jane replied, red eyes flickering over to you.
You glared, resisting the urge to growl.
“It appears we missed an entertaining fight,” Alec said.
“Yes,” Jane’s voice is slippery and she speaks with a snake-like demeanor. “It’s not often we are rendered unnecessary.”
“If you would’ve arrived a half hour ago you would’ve fulfilled your purpose,” Edward said.
Jane’s eyes are locked on him. “Pity...you missed one.”
Bree, the young newborn that had been hiding behind the group, moves, startled and nervous.
This time, you do growl.
Jasper waves a hand to subdue you and walks over to her side.
“We offered her asylum in exchange for her surrender,” Carlisle explained.
“That wasn’t yours to offer,” Jane said, a sick smirk on her lips. “Why did you come?”
The question is directed at the girl, who’s standing terrified next to Jasper.
Then, she screams, body reacting to the overwhelming pain Jane’s stare inflicts.
You flinch. You remember the pain.
“Who created you?”
She screamed again, rolling on the ground in agony.
“You don’t need to do that, she’ll tell you anything you want to know,” Esme said.
“I know.” Jane replied.
It makes you sick to your stomach, knowing that she takes pleasure in inflicting that much pain.
“I-I don’t know,” Bree chokes out. “Riley wouldn’t tell us...he said our thoughts weren’t safe.”
“Her name is Victoria,” Edward said. “Perhaps you knew her.”
Jane’s eyes change emotions. Perhaps they did know.
“Edward,” Carlisle interrupted. “If the Volturi had knowledge of Victoria, they would’ve stopped her.”
They all know his words carry no truth.
“Isn’t that right, Jane?”
Jasper’s gaze tightens on Jane. She’s looking back with nothing to reveal.
“Of course.” There’s a pause and then, “Felix.”
He moves forward-
“She didn’t know what she was doing,” Esme said.
Jane’s arm flies out to stop Felix.
“We’ll take responsibility for her.”
Esme’s heart was too kind. The heart of a mother knowing too much tragedy.
“Give her a chance.” And Carlisle was known for his second chances. His desperate need to protect the innocent.
“The Volturi don’t give second chances. Keep that in mind.” Jane said. “Caius will be interested to know that she’s still human. And that you still keep the...dog around.”
You growled again.
“The date is set,” Bella said. The wedding.
“Take care of that, Felix.” Jane said, removing her arm and allowing him forward. “I’d like to go home.”
There’s nothing any of you can do to stop him as Felix walks between Carlisle and Esme, both mourning the girl already.
The Cullens watch in horror, but you can only focus on Jane’s sadistic smile, as Felix takes care of the problem.
And then it’s over.
The Volturi leave with threats made and notes taken. The rest of you are left with new demons to hide away; an ever growing collection. And you and Bella are racing to Billy’s for Jacob.
You join her in her truck, too overwhelmed with emotions to run. You needed another person to be there with you.
He’s screaming when you arrive.
“Dad,” You said, running to Billy’s side. “Is he-”
His screams persisted and you tear up. Bella stands frozen.
“That’s been going on for a while,” Quil explained.
“Docs are breaking his bones,”
“Why did he have to but in I could’ve taken that-”
“Give it a rest, Leah,” Paul snapped.
The door opened and Carlisle and Sam stepped out, looking somber.
“The worst is over. He’ll be alright,” Carlisle said. “I gave him some morphine but his body temperature will burn it off soon. I’ll come back to set up a drip.”
You sighed thankfully, standing up to hug Carlisle, which he accepted.
“Thank you,” Billy said.
The two of them shake hands, an unsaid understanding crossing between them. Somehow, that makes you feel better.
Bella, it seems, didn’t feel the same.
“He’s asking for you,” Carlisle said, nodding to her.
She seemed hesitant at first, all the eyes watching her, but went in anyway.
“God, dad, I tried, but I couldn’t get there fast enough-”
“Hey,” Billy interrupts, patting your hand. “Don’t do that. He’s alright.”
You nodded, tears forming in your eyes again. “I knew he would be.”
You felt a cold hand on your back and turned to see Jasper.
“Is he alright?”
“Yeah, thanks Jas,” you said, standing up and hugging him tightly.
He returned the hug and rubbed your back comfortingly.
Him and Billy exchanged a look.
The two had never been particularly chummy, but they had an mutual respect, for you, if nothing else.
This time, though, Billy reached up and patted Jasper’s back. “Thanks for being here, son,”
Jasper nodded. “Of course.”
The rest of the pack shifted uncomfortably. A man who not long ago had been barking orders like a drill sergeant was now comforting one of their own.
You didn’t care. You just wanted to be in his arms.
When Bella came back out, she seemed conflicted.
“He’s sleeping,” she said to no one in particular.
You nodded to her.
Y/N.
You pricked up. You knew that voice. It was Jake’s.
Don’t beat yourself up over this. I know you will. It’s not your fault. And I know you can hear this so don’t be a stranger.
Asshole. You thought.
Bitch. He replied.
“Hey, you okay?” Jasper asked, noticing that your emotions had shifted.
You smiled, blinking back tears. “I’m wonderful.”

Oh h*ck yeah! And worry not, they have excellent healers and their own venom, which helps speed along growth of naga traits- Oh, Reader will be in for it, won't they? That being said, let's see:
You weren't sure how this happened.
You didn't think snake people existed. Yet here you were, in a large, hidden nest, full of smaller snake people, and being watched over by larger ones.
The largest of them are giant compared to you, their tails long and winding, splayed over the cavern hidden behind a waterfall you'd lived near. They keep making concerned noises, poking at your legs and making small hisses each time they bent or jerked. The smaller ones would have likely been your age if human, but their tails, while smaller than their elders', were still long, as thick as a small tree in some places. The colors among their scales ranged from lilacs and pinks to oranges and blacks, grays and browns to blues and golds. Every color you could think of was there, with some of them being iridescent or pearlescent.
Why were you there?
You made the mistake of rescuing one of the smaller ones. It had been caught in a trap, a large net that kept its form suspended and away from the ground or trees, tight enough in some places to cut through their scales. You'd found them, writhing in pain and hissing desperately, and while you knew it was likely deadly and might have venom... It was part human, it was a living being, sentient. It deserved to be free, to not be hurt or displayed as a trophy. And with that, you loosened the ropes from where they were tied, soon releasing the creature with a loud THUMP. For a moment it looked at you, eyes wide and curious, before it slithered off, back to wherever it came from.
The people who had set the trap found you, your hands stained with a bit of the blood that had been on the ropes, and had immediately chased you. It didn't matter how far you ran or where you tried to hide, they hunted you until you had nowhere left to run and nowhere left to hide. Just as you thought you were to be killed, tossed off the waterfall into a rocky pool below-
HIIIIISSSSSSSS!
Giant versions of the creature you saved came hurtling from the water, fangs flashing down as they tore into your would-be killers. You managed to hide in a tangled bush during the bloody fray, hunching yourself down and into a ball and staying as quiet and still as possible. The noises of the fight drifted over the rush of water, until it finally died out with a loud CRACK. Shivering, you buried yourself deeper in the dirt and leaves, praying to be left alone...
Only for large, clawed hands to snag you up from your hiding spot, a surprised hiss coming from a large snake thing. It had dark eyes, and orange and black scales dotting its face and shoulders. It's tongue flicked out, almost as though scenting you, only to immediately feel at your legs.
You kicked out at it, reflex more than anything.
It froze, eyes wide, and with the loudest cry, it called the other snakes over. Whatever the problem was... it had something to do with your... legs?
They just kept, poking at them, making sad and scared noises, while looking between each other and back at the waterfall. Eventually they seemed to reach an agreement, and forcibly brought you with them, kicking and crying out the whole way.
Which led to now, being tucked into their nest, alongside the smaller snake creature you saved and its companions, who were watching you carefully, all while hissing between each other and one of the adult creatures watching over you.
You'd lasted for two whole days without sleep before you were squeezed between the coils of the adult who first found you. It was trying to make gentle hisses, tapping lightly at your neck, then your knees. You weren't sure what it was trying to say, until one hand was holding your head still, the other holding your wrists together.
"No, nonononono," you mutter, trying to pull back, yet the creature just tightened both its tail and claws, and just as quick-
It bit you.
A pained yelp escaped you as you felt the rush of venom enter your veins, and tears entered your eyes as you struggled. All the creature did was press a kiss to the wound, using the hand previously steadying you to stroke your hair, making soft hisses and rubbing its cheek against yours. It was getting harder and harder to stay focused, the heat from its scales and the steady rhythm of its caresses and nuzzles soothing a part of you, while the other part felt hazier and hazier. Soon, your head felt stuffed, as though full of cotton, causing you to slump into the grip around you. A pleased noise comes from the bundle around you, further putting you at ease. Everything feels so warm... So calm... All sleepy and soft like a small bunny in its burrow. A relaxed sigh leaves your lips, being met with a rumbling purr from around you. And just as soon as your eyes slip closed, youre met by a soft, gentle darkness, sweeping you into quiet slumber...
(Can y'all guess which X-Teen they saved?)
(To answer which X-Teen they saved... it was Scott. And he was the first to think, "oh, wow, they're a deformed naga, poor little guy.. Aaaaaw, they saved me! So cute💕 Wait, I need to tell the Professor and Logan and Storm and-")

Hello! May I request a Thomas Hewitt x reader? His S/O is pretty much harmless and hides away when there are new "visitors" around so as not to hinder his work, but there comes a time when one of the victims is being pretty stubborn to the point that they are hurting Thomas badly. His S/O grabs anything they can use as a weapon and accidentally kills them but their first reaction after they stop moving is checking if Thomas is okay? Sorry if it's too long and thank you!
Hello darling! Thank you a lot for this request, I was really happy to write for my big baby (who also deserves to be protected and loved) <3 Hope you'll enjoy this! Btw this is a g/n reader without any kind of description (Mama just calls you "sweet pea" once + it is implies that Thomas is bigger than you).
NO ONE HURT MY HUSBAND
Warnings: one or two strong words, Tommy is injured (nothing too bad), mentions of murders and cannibalism, blood.
When you woke up this morning, you felt like something wrong was going to happen. Sometimes your instinct was warning you, and you would be a little bit nauseous and uneasy. You knew it was about your husband, you could swear he was going to get hurt today, and the thought was only making you sicker. You needed your Thomas to be well and happy. He was all that mattered in your life. That was why, this morning, you needed to stay in bed with your husband and cuddle with him; at least you were both safe there. You even coax him with tender kisses for him to stay a little bit longer by your side. Even though Hoyt was calling for him, your gentle giant was too in love with you to hear the man screaming his name. His arms were tightly wrapped around your body as you cuddled him and murmured sweet nothings against his lips. His eyes were bright with happiness as he softly worshipped you with caresses and kisses of his own. He seemed very relaxed then and you were certain you could have convinced him to stay there all day if Mama hadn’t knocked at your door. You had pouted when Thomas got up and he gave you an apologetic glance. He didn’t like to not be able to give you what you wanted. And he didn’t like the idea you wouldn’t be able to spend more time with him until the end of his day of work.
Hoyt heard there was a festival not so far away from here, and it was certain Thomas and he would be busy with visitors. And despite your love for Thomas and his family, you hated the killing. It meant you prefered to hide away in your shared bedroom than meeting one of your soon to be meals. You didn’t mind eating people, it was more the whole killing process that was bothering you. You didn’t like screams and fights. You were of a peaceful nature and it was probably why your presence was so soothing and so calming for Thomas. You were trying to tell yourself that, at least, the family would have enough to eat for a while and the meat factory would be more productive. You still didn’t like it and you just wanted your husband to cuddle and make love with you. You were quite a simple creature and that was why the family loved you as well, even though you were useless with the killings.
You helped Luda Mae with the house today, until you heard the voices of young people trying to negotiate with Hoyt. They were terrified and one of them was already bleeding a lot from what you could see from the kitchen window. They were three, but Thomas wasn’t around and you imagined he was dealing with more tourists. You didn’t like it at all, and you felt even more sicker than a few hours ago. You sent a pleading look to Mama who reassuringly smiled at you.
“Of course, sweet pea, go hide away. Thomas would go crazy if anything happened to you anyways, so it’s better that way” she said. You leaned to kiss her cheek, grateful she was being so good to you, before rushing upstairs.
You locked the door behind you and you wrapped a blanket around your shoulders. You tried to find something to do, in order to relax, but you couldn’t without Thomas by your side. You decided that a shower could do you some good and you got one. After it, you put on a shirt belonging to your husband and his scent washed over you. It brought you some much needed comfort. You cuddled in bed and closed your eyes. You silently prayed to God to protect your family. You weren’t certain God would protect people like you, but you thought it couldn’t do any harm to pray anyways.
You eventually fell asleep and when you cracked an eye open it was already late in the afternoon. You slowly got up from the bed, your head and eyes still heavy from sleep. You heard a soft knock at the door and you thought it might be what woke you up. You opened the door to find your husband standing in the doorway. He gave you a worried look and you reassured him with a smile.
“I’m fine, baby, just had a nap. You can go back to work” you told him. It was usual for him to go check on you to make sure you were fine. He was too scared to lose you because he wouldn’t have taken enough care of you. And in his eyes, you deserved the world.
He watched you for a little while before nodding. He leaned to press a soft kiss to your pretty mouth. You smiled even more against his lips before gently pushing him away.
“Be careful and come back to me as soon as you can, okay?” you asked and he nodded again. He stole another kiss from you, like the greedy puppy he truly was, before turning around. You watched him disappear and you tried to relax. You were happy he was alright, and you thought that maybe your instinct worried you for nothing this morning.
You decided to tidy up your shared bedroom as Thomas and you were sometimes too thrown away in your passion to realise some chores needed to be done. You always found clothes laying on the ground, but when you needed to feel each other's bodies, you discarded your clothing without any care. You were needy with him and he loved it very much.
You found some stuff to do around the bedroom and bathroom for a little while until you heard screams coming from the back garden. You felt your heart sink and you walked to the window in order to close the curtains. You didn’t want to see a tourist getting killed by your husband. You loved Thomas, but his strength could be scary, even for you.
However, you weren’t ready for what you saw. You stopped moving when you noticed the tourist taking a knife and plunging it into Thomas’ side. Your eyes widened as you heard soft sounds of pain coming from your husband. Your blood ran cold and before you could even think about it, you were out of your shared bedroom. You ran downstairs, didn’t hear Mama calling for you with worry, and you simply grabbed a knife as you passed by her. You continued to run until you arrived in the garden. Thomas was on the ground, fighting the man off of him, but the pain wasn’t helping. The tourist was so full of adrenaline and of despair that he was being quite strong. He was about to strike another time when you jumped on him. He yelped in surprise and pain as you tackled him to the ground and started to punch him in the face. You were unable to think or to realise what you were doing. All you knew was that you needed to keep your love safe. You couldn’t let anything happen to him. The man pushed you and you fell from him. He was about to hurt you when you took the knife from your belt and hit him with it. You removed the knife without thinking and the man started to bleed a lot. He screamed like a slaughtered pig and you kicked him in the head.
The man was dead before you knew it. You didn’t even understand it. You were just happy he wasn’t screaming anymore and that he wasn’t trying to hurt Thomas anymore either. You were covered in his blood as you rushed to your lover’s side. He was a little bit groggy and wasn’t certain what just happened. You started to fuss around him to make sure he was alright, but he was bleeding too much, especially for your liking. At least, it was only one wound and Thomas was a strength of nature, so he would be all good in no time. At least you hoped, otherwise you would lose your sanity. But meanwhile, you needed to take care of him. You ripped your shirt so you could press it against his wound. You begged him to stay awake.
Hoyt ran to you after Luda Mae told him something must have happened. He was cursing when he saw the two of you. He didn’t show any emotions as he looked at the scene in front of him, quickly understanding what happened. He finally started to give the two of you rough orders and soon you were helping Hoyt with Thomas. Your gentle giant was trying his best to walk so his size and height wouldn’t hurt you or be too much, but you didn’t care. He finally reached the kitchen, that way Mama and you could take care of him. You sat him and gave him some water with painkillers.
“So you’re a killer now” Hoyt commented as he arched an eyebrow at you.
“What?” you asked, because you didn’t think the man was dead, even less that you killed him.
Thomas groaned before Hoyt could answer you and he sent him a threatening look. He didn’t want you to understand what happened. He was grateful you had saved him - even though it felt like a failure because it was his job to protect you. But at the same time, he wasn’t sure you would be able to handle the truth, especially after all the emotions you already went through. You looked up to give a glance at Hoyt but the man had left before Thomas could jump on him. You looked back at your husband but before you could say anything Luda Mae asked you for more bandages. She was aware her son wanted to protect you from the truth a little longer, and she was glad to help.
You quickly got up and you found what you needed. You stopped by the living room window and saw that the tourist who attacked Thomas was still lying on the ground. He was silent too, which was surprising, but he might just be unconscious. You silently went back to Thomas and Mama and you finished taking care of him.
You both went back into your shared bedroom and you helped him to settle on the bed. He needed some rest. You sat next to him but he gently tugged on your arm for you to lay down beside him. He needed you close to him, as you were the only thing who could give him comfort. You obeyed and cuddled on his unharmed side and nuzzled into his neck.
“Don’t ever do that to me again” you whispered and he nodded. You looked back at him. “You promise, right? You don’t let anyone touch you ever again, okay? No more games, no matter what Hoyt wants. You just kill them as fast as you can. This can’t happen again.” you started to babble as you cupped Thomas’ face into your hands. “You know I love you, don’t you? You know that I need you to come back home to me everyday or I would go crazy. I would burn the whole world down for you” you told him with an intensity you never had before. You could tell Thomas was surprised as his eyes widened, before he started to blush and to be all flustered. You were giving him little butterflies in his stomach. He nodded again, with heart eyes. He would obey anything you would tell him, even more when it was because your love was so fierce for him. He hugged you against his chest before removing his mask. He started to pepper your face with soft kisses, to appease you but also to thank you for what you did today, and for loving him that much. He loved you too, more than anything. He wished he could give you another life, and to make it up to you, he was trying to be the best husband ever.
You suddenly realised you still had blood on you and you very softly moved from his embrace. He really didn’t like the loss of contact but you promised him it would be quick. You removed the t-shirt and you went into the bathroom to wash the blood you hadn’t removed before cleaning up Thomas earlier. You watched yourself in the mirror and you saw more blood on your face as well.
“Oh. I killed the man” you said to yourself in realisation, and you went back to Thomas. You watched him and he looked up at you with a frown.
“Does it change anything?” you asked him but he didn’t understand what you meant “I know you enjoyed the fact I wasn’t part of the killing… But I killed the man, right? I killed him” you repeated and you looked down. Thomas tried to sit up to reach for your hand but you stopped him before he could hurt himself. You sat beside him and he started to sign . You saved me.
“Yes but…”
You saved me.
You smiled at him before straddling him so you could have a better look at him. His hands were on your thighs now and he gently stroked your skin. “I would do anything for you” you told him and he smiled; he knew it.
It won’t happen again. Shouldn’t have happened. You shouldn’t have to protect me. I wouldn’t stand anything happening to you because of me.
“I don’t want this to ever happen again because I’ve never been so scared and concerned for you before, not because I shouldn’t protect you. I’m your partner, it’s also my job to take care of you.” you replied and you could tell Thomas wasn’t too happy about it. “You always protect me, it’s fine that I protected you for once” you added and Thomas tried to agree with that. “Plus, it would never be your fault if something happened to me.” you added but Thomas shook his head.
I’m your husband, he replied and you knew you couldn’t argue with his protectiveness so you didn’t say anything about it.
“At least Hoyt won’t ever bother me again about it”
I’d kill him otherwise.
“Aren’t you romantic now?” you gently teased him before leaning in to kiss him, as his hands started to roam your body like they had to when the two of you were in bed.

Imagine Vampire Vash Fighting To Keep From Hurting You (Vampire AU)
Tumblr media
Vash the Stampede X FemReader
Rating: T+
Warnings: Blood, horror, a little bit of gore, suggestive themes, y’know all that good vampire stuffs
Word Count: 811
(A/N:) Like the AU I wrote for Nicholas I had to do one for Vash. And him being the vampire seemed like the most logical thing to do. So enjoy my little AU in my vampire and Trigun Stampede rotted brain. Until next time happy reading! ~Countess
Your mother had warned you over and over to stay inside during the evening hours that drenched the desert landscape in shadows. You had heeded that warning for years as the creatures that roamed the landscape at night had nothing to keep them at bay. But one night you found yourself trapped out of the village as the daylight began to dim and darkness began to swallow your surroundings.
Your errands had kept you out far longer than you intended. While the others of the town you visited had offered you a place to stay until the morning, you refused thinking that you could make it back in time. Your thoughts had been foolish as the dark was quickly taking over the desert. Your whole body trembled as you stood there alone with your feet in the hot sand.
It didn’t take long until you were snatched away, helpless and alone in the grip of a vampire. He cackled gleefully, drooling profusely at the thought of your sweet blood. You whimpered, hoping for a hunter to be around so you could be rescued. But no other being was in sight and you were left at the mercy of the horrific creature that kept a tight grip on you. Almost back to the vampires lair he was suddenly tackled, sending you both sprawling onto the sand.
The vampire who had taken you, hissed viciously towards his attacker. You blinked sand from your eyes to see a different vampire, his blond hair standing out against the dark. He hissed back, his eyes darting towards you before going back to stare daggers at his opponent. All you could do was lay there and watch as the two vampires clashed. Blood sprayed the sand and pieces of vampire landed at your feet with wet thuds. The sight, sound, and smells made you nauseas but you couldn’t run away. The fall had twisted your ankle and all you could do was lay there waiting for fate to take it’s course. The new vampire finished the fight quickly his large claws dripping crimson, fangs gaping from his mouth as he panted. You stilled, trying to will him away as you hoped he had forgotten about you. You couldn’t get that lucky though as he immediately turned towards you. A growl welling in his throat as he stalked forward. Red flecked blue eyes rolled over your form hungrily causing you to whimper. He leaned over, breathing deeply at your scent. You could feel the puffs of air tickling your sweaty skin making you weep.
“P-please don’t,” you begged as tears flowed down your grimy cheeks.
He paused his whole body trembling. One fang pricked your skin causing a little bubble of blood to well up. His tongue quickly darting out and licking up the crimson bubble. He moaned deeply, tongue laving at the tiny wound.
“I’m sorry,” he said his voice shaky as he continued to tremble above you. “I don’t want this.”
You glanced up shocked as he spoke with such conviction. “You don’t have to. Please just let me go.”
“I can’t,” he sobbed, “I’m so thirsty I can’t take it.”
This vampire wasn’t like the others as bloody tears ran down his face. He fought so hard against his craving that you could feel the pain radiating off of him. You touched his cold pale cheek carefully. He jerked, unused to such a gentle touch.
“I don’t want to hurt you,” he continued but the taste of your blood was fueling him towards tearing your throat out. You were terrified but you didn’t back down. Raising up closer you placed your wrist against his dry lips. He licked at your skin, tasting the salt and sand. He glanced back up towards you and you nodded. The first vampire that had taken you, surely would have killed you and left your body in the sand. But this one seemed different as he hated the way he was. You couldn’t just let him suffer in starvation.
“Are you sure,” his voice quivered. Once again you nodded before hissing in pain as his fangs penetrated the veins in your wrist. His throat bobbed as he drank and moaned in bliss. You tried breathing calmly as he took what he needed. You wanted to believe that he knew when to quit and he did as such as he had taken his fill. Closing the wound he dropped your hand. You felt a little woozy and he caught you before your body hit the sand.
“I’m sorry I took a little too much,” he apologized.
“It’s okay,” you answered breathlessly. You laid in the arms of the vampire until he carefully picked you up and carried you to his home where he wanted to keep you. Safe from other vampires and to taste your sweet blood if you allowed him.

@hogwartslegacystuff : I'm sorry if I'm a bother, but for Donna's child AU, the Reader nearly gets killed by one of their uncle Karl's lycans that out of the blue went rogue, simply because the Reader accidently got in the lycans bloody path. I don't know how they escape with their own life, because by some miracle the lycan heard something from the distance and went after it, leaving the Reader injured badly but alive. They didn't know how they were gonna slip this one past their mom because she would be absolutely worried and the Reader was right. But after their full recovery, Donna is now being extremely overprotective than she already was, trying to avoid them from leaving the house without her. The Reader eventually had a thought about wanting to get the Cadou, so this didn't happen again and because of other reasons. Donna might protest to it and have a panic attack trying to explain the repercussions that could happen, but the Reader is like, "Mama I don't got a choice anymore, I could have died.. or better yet, I will eventually get physically older than you and I don't think either of us want that to happen. Someone has to protect us both, might as well let that be me. I'm going to talk to Miranda about the implant first chance I get, I promise you I'm going to be okay..." While comforting their mom. The Reader convinces Miranda to go ahead with the procedure.. Maybe repercussions did happen, which scared both Miranda and Donna to death, but luckily the reader made it out like a champ and survived the whole ordeal.(I'll leave what abilities the Reader develops up to you, I couldn't think of anything on the spot... But at the same time I would understand if you don't want to do this one, it was a mess when I first thought of it.)
This is really good! Not a bother at all. I love seeing what y'all have to share! Now, I might have changed some things but the main points are highlighted. I hc that the lycans get more aggressive and wander around in colder temperatures (Like in RE8. Thought that might be a good explanation). Let’s get into it!
You had been for a run in the woods and took a minute to catch your breath and pick out the next song you wanted to listen to.
As you finally made your song selection, a decidedly unmusical sound comes from behind you. A growl.
You had a pretty good idea of what creature could have made it, too. Your mom had told you to be very careful and alert when you were in the woods. She had also said that lycans were known to roam when it got cold outside… Damn! How could you be so oblivious?! Donna even told you to start limiting your workouts as the fall transitioned to winter. You… Kind of snuck out of the house before she had gotten up today. You didn’t want to worry her.
No time to dwell on the past, though! Your fight or flight senses activated and you found yourself running faster than you ever had before.
The lycan snipped and bit at your heels, furiously trying to attack.
You tried not to look behind you and just focus on getting away, but you could hear the lycan’s panting getting closer. You turn to assess the situation, but accidentally trip on a rock. You go flying and land roughly on your side, breaking your arm. You cry out in pain and the lycan quickly starts tearing into you. It bites your throat and claws your torso. You try to push it away with your non-injured arm, but your attempts aren’t doing much good. The lycan’s sharp teeth easily pierce your skin over and over again.
Suddenly, you hear a familiar voice.
“Hey, what the fuck are you doing out, mutt?!” You hear Karl shout.
The lycan immediately stops and runs over to Karl’s side.
Karl takes a look at the lycan’s face and sees the blood on it. He moves closer to inspect the mangled body in front of him before he gasps. “Y-Y/N?” He asks, horrified to see that it is you who’s so hurt. He drops to his knees and quickly tries to put pressure on your wounds. You are in bad shape. He can see you slipping away. “Okay, stay with me, Y/N. You gotta hold on.” He says, choking back tears of guilt. This was his fault. He should have kept a better eye on his lycans.
You muster the strength to smile at Karl. He had been like a fun uncle to you and he took you under his wing. “I’ll be… Alright, old man.” You joke, slipping in and out of consciousness.
Karl loves you like his own kid… And this… Absolutely crushes him.
Eventually, Karl decides that he needs to get you home. Donna would be able to help… Or… She would at least be able to say goodbye… Karl wipes his eyes in anguish before he angrily stands to his full height and smashes his hammer right in between the offending lycan’s eyes. The attack pierces through it’s skull and the hammer completely embeds into the lycan’s brain. The creature howls in agony before it eventually succumbs to it’s injuries.
Karl quickly looks at you and scoops you into his arms. “Just hang in there, kid. I’m taking you home.” He says quietly and makes his way to Donna’s house.
——————————————————————————
“WHAT HAPPENED?!” Donna roars and takes your limp body from Karl as he brings you in.
Karl winces in shame. He’s never seen Donna so livid. It’s unsettling. “A lycan… I tried to help Y/N, but they were already hurt. I-”
“You idiot! This is your fault!” Donna screeches through her tears as she lays you down on the couch.
Karl hangs his head. It is his fault. If you don’t pull through… He doesn’t know what he will do.
“Baby, it’s Mama. Can you hear me?” Donna says.
You cough up some blood and your eyes slowly open. You are so confused. “M-mama?” You say, barely lucid.
Donna sobs and gently dabs at your mouth with a cloth. She runs her hand through your hair. “Yes, Y/N. Mama’s right here, okay? Stay with me, tesoro.” She tells you.
Donna turns to Karl with a sharp look on her face. “Get Miranda.” She commands.
Karl swallows and nods before he runs out the door.
As soon as Miranda hears what happened, she teleports to Beneviento Manor with medical supplies. She absolutely adores you and she’d do anything to help. “Tell me what happened.” Miranda says and brings the supplies over.
Donna weeps as she tells Miranda about the attack.
Miranda’s eyes widen. “I’ve never seen a lycan attack so early into fall…” She says and furrows her brows as she works.
Donna is beside herself. Her baby. Her reason for living is fighting for their life. Despite all she’s been through, she’s never felt so helpless.
Miranda works efficiently and accurately, occasionally asking for Donna to hand her things. She’s got to move fast if she has any hope of saving you.
——————————————————————————
Finally… You start to stabilize. Your vitals look better and Miranda finishes bandaging you up. “I’m going to observe them, but I think they’re going to be alright.” Miranda says and wearily sighs. That was entirely too close.
Donna cries in gratitude and hugs Miranda. “Thank you, Mother Miranda. Thank you for saving my child.” She says.
Miranda hugs Donna back. “I love Y/N, too. I would do anything to make sure they’re okay.” She tells her.
Throughout the day, Miranda monitors you and administers pain medicine.
You sleep completely through that day and all through the night.
The next morning, you wake up finally. You see Donna dozing next to you and gripping your hand in her sleep. You’re confused. What happened? “Mama?” You ask gently.
At the sound of your voice, Donna’s head whips up immediately and her eyes lock on yours. She gasps and cups your face. “Sweetheart…” She says before bursting into tears. You’re okay. You’re alive. She is so thankful and she carefully presses kisses to your cheek.
“Did something happen?” You question, not remembering anything. As you try to move, blinding pain erupts in your body. You wince in agony and groan.
Donna grits her teeth at this and swears she is able to feel physical pain when she sees you hurt. Only mothers can understand, she reasons.
Miranda walks in just then and gasps at seeing you awake. “Oh, Y/N.” She whispers and hurries to your side.
Donna and Miranda tend to you as they explain about the attack and your subsequent injuries.
You feel like an idiot. Why did you go out in the first place? There was no way for you to defend yourself. You’re a helpless human, you can’t even protect yourself…
You quickly come to a realization.
As a human… You’re completely vulnerable. But… What if you had powers like Donna or Karl? Then you could protect your Mama. You wouldn’t have to worry about losing her ever again. Plus… You weren’t getting any younger. You can’t stand the thought of continually aging until…
That’s it. Decision made.
You pipe up as Miranda changes some bandages. “Mother Miranda… I… Need the cadou. Please.” You plead with her.
Miranda’s shoot wide open in surprise. “W-what?” She asks, totally shocked.
Donna is dumbfounded as well.
“I need to be able to protect myself. And you, Mama.” You say before looking at Donna.
Before Miranda can say anything, Donna voices her opinion. “Absolutely not.” She says firmly.
You raise an eyebrow and tilt your head in confusion. “What? Why?” You ask her, completely bewildered.
Donna looks at you and you’ve never seen her have such a bleak expression. “I am not losing you again. The cadou has very serious side effects, Y/N.” She tells you.
You look to Miranda for assistance, but she refuses to meet your stare.
“But… I need to protect you. And… I’m… Getting older.” You tell her.
Donna scoffs at this. “Do you think that I’ve never considered that?” She asks lowly.
She’s never had such a bite in her tone when speaking to you before. It makes you nervous.
Miranda clears her throat which eases some tension. “Um… If I may, the chances of mutation are much lower for Y/N seeing as you had a more favorable reaction to the cadou, Donna. A parent reacting well to it almost guarantees that a biological child will as well.” She offers.
Donna snaps her head to Miranda. “Do you… Honestly believe that this is a favorable reaction?” She says harshly and points to her eye. “I am a complete FREAK now!” She roars. “This is what the cadou did to me! If you think I’m going to risk having my child go through that, then you are an utter FOOL!” Donna yells and turns to you. “The answer is no, Y/N. Don’t even dare think about asking me again!” She tells you and storms out.
You are speechless. And… Heartbroken… Your mom thinks that she’s a freak? You look at Miranda who now has silent tears streaming down her cheeks.
The priestess feels so guilty. Deep down, Donna resents Miranda for the cadou implantation… It’s hard to reconcile.
You sigh. But… You know what you need to do. Consequences be damned. “Mother Miranda?” You ask.
The blonde looks at you through her teary eyes.
“We’re doing this. There’s no other option. We have to.” You all but beg. “If something else happens… It’s going to destroy my mom.” You tell her.
Miranda sighs. She’s in a moral dilemma here. She agrees that the cadou is the only chance she has to guarantee your safety and Donna’s eventual well-being… But, going against Donna’s wishes? Could she do that? Selfishly, she wants you to get the cadou too. She wants you to be able to protect yourself and stop aging. She adores you too much to let you go (And knows Donna does too). Eventually, she relents. She hopes that she won’t regret this and Donna will forgive her. “Alright,” She nods. “I’m in, Y/N.”
Now, the hard part truly begins…

The clock tower showed just four minutes after four in the morning as Tyril and Reyna reached her chamber and unwillingly unlaced their hands.
"I hope you will stay? I can't open a portal for you to go back to Undermount," Reyna started as her fingers nimbly worked with the matches to light the candles on the night stands. Despite the sun already rising, dark rain clouds obstructed the light, plunging the city in gloomy darkness. "Not that I'd want to, anyway."
"I intend to watch over you constantly lest you were to disappear again."
“Nonsense, you need to rest. When was the last time you got a proper night’s rest?”
Tyril shrugged his shoulders indiscernibly. Just as Reyna was about to scold him for not taking care of himself, the match burned her fingers.
“Blast!”
"Allow me," he uttered lowly before catching her wrist and bringing the burned fingers to his lips. Having whispered a short spell, Tyril touched the sore area and a wave of soothing coolness hugged the wound. Under his scrutinizing gaze, Reyna was suddenly overcome with shyness and lowered her gaze.
"I knew having a skilled mage by my side would come in handy," she joked. “Thank you. We should probably get some rest. May I?”
Reyna’s fingers quickly undid the intricate fastening of Tyril’s clothes and as he stood in front of her in nothing but his undergarments, her brows knitted.
“That’s new,” she noticed, touching a purplish scar on the plane of his chest.
“A close encounter with a succubus.”
Reyna quirked an eyebrow. “Succubus? The seductive she-devil succubus?”
“She was said to be in possession of a long-lost spell book, I had hoped that perhaps she would help me open a portal.”
“And how exactly did you play to convince her?”
“With threats.”
"That's why you ended up with a wound on your chest? What did she strike you with, a hacksaw?"
Tyril sighed quietly upon realizing that it was not jealousy speaking through his beloved but worry. "I underestimated the risk."
"Just like you did with the fluria? And this?” she pointed to a cut just above his hip. “It's also fresh."
"A basilisk. They're rumoured to have the ability to cross realms."
"And you attacked it alone," he nodded. "You were trying to get hurt, weren't you?"
While Tyril desperately searched for the right words, Reyna took a moment to study his face in the warm candlelight. There were visible dark spots under his eyes, his cheekbones and jawline seemed a bit sharper, indicating a weight loss, and as her eyes slid lower, she also noticed how much more defined his muscles had become. He must have been hunting for a while, many more creatures than he would ever admit to her.
"I was trying to be punished."
“Tyril—”
“Reyna, you don’t understand. You were gone for a year. They took you from right under my nose, and I did nothing to stop them. You were gone for a year and I never even got a single promising lead. I am sorry I couldn't do more to help you," he whispered, dropping his gaze to her cheek, which he stroked with a thumb. "Please forgive me—"
"You need to forgive yourself, Tyril," she interrupted, her hand cupping his cheek. "It was you who gave me the strength to fight, the thought of never seeing your face again helped me get off my knees and run even though my whole body burned with pain. So thank you."
His eyes glistened and she continued.
"I think I heard you, when I was still weak and befuddled."
Tyril felt his heart skip a beat. "Perhaps Gods heard my prayers after all."
"You prayed for me?"
"Of course," he assured immediately, and a tear rolled down his cheek. "I was utterly desperate, submerged in books I held onto the faintest hope, I begged scholars and mages for help, but nobody even dared to hope. It was Adrina who suggested I should reconnect with the Gods. On my knees, I prayed for forgiveness and pleaded for help for months."
Reyna bit her lip, emotions too overwhelming to allow even the quietest words to leave her mouth without breaking into a million pieces. However, seeing how Tyril allowed his grief and loneliness to leave his body in the waves of tears, her own dam broke and soon only the quiet sniffling of two entwined lovers could be heard.
"Gods, I have missed you so much," the elf mumbled into her hair before pressing his lips to her temple, long and hard, and shut his eyes tightly, afraid she'd disappear if he opened them, just as had happened several times. "The thought of never seeing you again, never holding your hand, was driving me mad. I have grieved while still hoping, still searching for a way to bring you back, but I hit a damn wall every time. I— I have been truly awful to my family this year, Reyna, because all that mattered was getting to you as fast as possible—"
Tyril's voice suddenly broke and Reyna, as if finally understanding the full scope of the effects her absence had on her partner, felt her heart break. Her hand soothingly caressed the back of his head, while her tears pooled in the crook of his neck.
"I was afraid I'd lost you to the Shadows as well," he whispered. "And I was ready to lose myself just to get you back."
“If it’s any consolation, it only felt like a couple of days for me,” Reyna uttered quietly once they both calmed down. Tyril’s embrace loosened slightly, and he pulled back just enough to see her face.
“That’s good. I’d hate for you to feel so lonely and helpless in the Shadow Realm for a year.”
The couple timidly smiled at each other, and once Reyna’s fingers wiped the remaining evidence of anguish off his face, Tyril suggested lying down.
As if nothing ever happened, Tyril took his place on the right side of the mattress while Reyna straddled him and rested her head on his shoulder, enjoying the warmth of his embrace. Just like they did the night before everything changed.
In complete silence only interrupted by regular pattering of the rain against the window, they listened to each other's breaths, caressing each other’s skin and kissing every now and again. Reyna smiled as his thumb began drawing small circles on her bare thigh. She took in the sight in front of her, still afraid that if she blinked, he'd disappear. The mere suggestion of waking up in Valax’s laboratory again sent an uncomfortable wave of shivers down her back.
"You look so beautiful like this," she whispered, her hands journeying across his chiselled stomach and chest, marvelling at the smoothness of his pale skin. Under her fingers, she felt his pounding heart and quickened breath, and she only smiled wider. In the early morning sun, Tyril's noble features softened, making him look like the young, exhausted man he was.
"I suppose happiness looks good on everybody."
"Nobody wears it like you do, Lord Starfury," she whispered against his lips before capturing them in a soft kiss, and within seconds she welcomed his tongue on her lower lip.
Tumblr media
Deftly sliding the strap of her bra off her shoulder, Tyril kissed her collarbone, first on the right side, then repeated the action on the left, soon unclasping the garment and letting it fall to the floor.
“At long last,” he hummed in between the sloppy kisses. Reyna smiled blissfully.
Before long, the last pieces of clothing fell to the ground and Reyna, still straddling half-sitting Tyril slowly lowered herself onto him with a quiet moan.
"I have yearned to hear you make that sound again," he gasped, one of his hands tightening on Reyna's hip while the other caressed her back, pulling her closer.
Contrary to her mind, her body felt their prolonged separation. Each touch would send a wave of shivers through her body, each bounce of her thighs pulling out soft moans from her throat. Soon they found their rhythm and the room reverberated with a blend of the couple's whimpers and ragged breaths.
As the urge to be in control for the first time in months grew, Tyril switched their position and rolled on top of Reyna, who, afraid to let him go, wrapped her legs around his waist. His lips then focused on Reyna's neck, leaving love bite after love bite in their wake, earning him a pull at his hair and increasingly louder moans.
"Please, don't ever leave me again," he huffed, pleadingly. Feeling her climax approaching, he kissed her again, sucking on her lower lip long enough to leave a tiny red bruise as his hand blindly searched for hers to lock their fingers together.
Groaning, Reyna clenched her fingers around Tyril’s, leaving half moon marks over his knuckles. She looked at him from under her lashes—the image of her partner, flushed, sweaty, whimpering proved to be the final straw that sent her over the edge. Following suit, the elf hid his face in the crook of Reyna’s neck, his hips still lazily moving.
“I’ll always fight my way back to you, Tyril.”
Tumblr media
The wind outside picked up, howling mournfully through the city lanes and alleyways. Blissfully spent, the couple cuddled under the duvet.
“I’ve heard you and Kade got to know each other better in my absence,” Reyna mumbled sleepily, resting her head on Tyril’s shoulder. The elf hummed. “I’m glad.”
“Bonding with your brother was the only good thing to happen this past year.”
“Has he told you all the embarrassing stories?”
Tyril smirked at the memory. “A few.”
"Rest assured that I will have my revenge."
"You already know my most humiliating story, bringing shame upon my House is impossible to top."
"Personally, I believe stepping on your date's dress and causing her to fall into mud at her own Ancestral Masquerade is much more embarrassing," she chuckled while Tyril's eyes widened in shock.
"How do you know about it?"
"Your sister is an excellent conversationalist, did you know that?"
Tyril shook his head disapprovingly. “Tarnishing the reputation of House Starfury like that.”
“I like your new hairstyle, it really shows off your pretty face,” she complimented and raised her head to check whether she’d get the reaction she hoped for from him. Shortly, a dark purple blush flowered on his cheeks.
“I— Ahem, I’m glad it’s to your liking,” he stuttered.
“I’m also impressed by your musculature, you really put in some work when I was away,” she teased, making Tyril chuckle, still visibly embarrassed. “Oh, how I missed those dimples!”
“Please stop,” the elf pleaded, snaking an arm around Reyna’s bare stomach as she leant over and kissed his dimples, then the tip of his nose, chin, and finally his lips. Their kiss was interrupted by a loud thunder that made Reyna jump away, scared. She nervously looked around the room, expecting the worst, but everything was exactly the same.
She felt Tyril’s palm cupping her cheek, and she unwillingly stopped scanning the room to look at his face.
“You’re safe, Reyna. It’s alright, you’re safe. I’m with you.”
She nodded absent-mindedly. It took her a moment to shake off the images of Ashen soldiers, and she blinked repeatedly when the initial panic subsided. Tyril was looking at her worriedly, gently stroking her cheek, and Reyna focused on the way the candlelight glistened in his baby blue eyes.
“You’re safe.”
“I know. You’re with me.”
Tyril nodded and pressed his lips to her temple. “I’m with you.”

Peter B Parker/Male!Reader
Im crying over this, but I made it, so it's okay
I really like the idea of canon events
I might make like a lot of these just with different characters
Warnings: major character death, uhhh yeah death pretty much it
Words: 1069
This can be seen as either romantic or platonic I really don't care
More Spider Society HQ living quarters AU
LISTEN.. I know this probably isn't how canon events work, and it needs to be in your own universe blah blah, but I do what I want with my stories
Sooo enjoy this
Summary: Your canon event is watching Peter die.
"Y/N L/N and Peter B. Parker?" Miguel called out through the wide room.
It was time for new missions and apparently you and Peter had gotten chosen. Miguel explained the mission was in earth 10009, Dublin Ireland.
If you were being honest your favorite part of the job was being able to see the sights while fighting some unknown creature or villain.
You heard that Ireland was a pretty scenic place, so you were excited.
"Y/N, you ready?" Peter asked after you both had emerged from your respective rooms.
"As ready as I'll ever be." You reply.
Peter pressed some buttons on his watch and right before you the big orange portal appeared. It glitched and moved a little with each malfunction, but it was stable.
He looked at you with a small smile before walking into it. With a loud sputter, it swallowed him whole. You grinned wickedly and ran in after him.
The portal spun you and shot you through paths of color and shapes and into the present day world of Ireland.
Whenever you saw Peter, almost immediately you heard crashes from across the way. You saw all sorts of pubs and shops in a line. Bridges and tall buildings.
But above all you saw the big, pitch black creature that was haunting the buildings with it's huge claws.
The windows were being crashed into by the sharp talons, and the beast's feet were crushing the roads below it.
You shoved your mask over your head quickly and started to run and glide over the group towards the giant monster
The people began running away swiftly, but the creature was catching up with a few.
"I'll get the people out of here!" Peter yelled from beside you in the chaos.
"Be careful!" You shouted back and continued springing web after web towards the beast. You got closer with every move, and you didn't feel one ounce of anxiety.
Once you got to the monster, you flung into it at full speed. You dropped your web from on top the buildings and slammed into the creature's face.
It wailed out in pain as your foot went into its eye. You bounced back onto a building and stayed there for a moment while the monster regained it's composure.
You decided you were going to try and lead the monster away from the general public.
The massive creature took one of its claws and ripped out a chunk of a brick building. You stared on in wide eyes, quickly going into action once it wound it's arm back for attack.
You shot out webs to bind the brick to the wall of the building, but the beast was too strong. The chunk went wailing out into the daylight.
You looked down to the ground to see nobody but your partner, Peter.
He was scanning the area for anymore lost children or elderly he had failed to get out the first sweep. Peter looked up just in time to see the boulder of brick coming down towards him.
You hurdled to get down to his level, trying to save him from getting crushed. You narrowly avoid it yourself with your hands hooked under his arms.
You realize that his lower body and some of the upper was crushed beneath the brick. You suck in a shallow breath of surprise.
You turn your body so he could see you, and you could see the damage done to him.
You quickly call the HQ on your watch. "We need backup now." You said and immediately hung up after.
"Shit, Peter." You breath, taking in his situation.
"No, I'm fine. Don't worry." He tried to pull his body up and out of the rubble, but he coughed instead. "The coughing probably isn't a good sign." Peter muttered.
"We have to get you back to the headquarters." You frantically shook your head.
He grabbed your shoulder and laughed a bit solemnly. "It's fine; stop worrying so much, Y/N."
"It's already over. My time as Spiderman I mean." He murmured.
"Hell no it's not. Mayday needs her dad. I need a friend. Miles needs his mentor! You can't die yet." You yell. "I won't let you die without you fulfilling your purpose of Spiderman."
"What's that purpose, Y/N? Is it failing my wife for the second time? Is it failing everybody I know?"
You saw blood start to slip out of the sides of the brick, and Peter's eyes seemed to get weaker and more droopy.
"Tell me what I'm supposed to do, Peter! Tell me how I can save you." You cry out.
He smiled a little. "Tell Miles, my wife, and Mayday that I love them." Peter whispered.
Your heart dropped into your stomach as the life drained from your friend, and his blood seemed to seep into your veins and to your heart.
The moment hit you that you would never be on a mission with Peter B Parker ever again, that Mayday would never see her dad again.
Even if Miles isn't here anymore, if he ever was to come back he would only see his mentor as a picture on the wall in the HQ.
Peter's wife would be devastated at the demise of her husband and would shelter away at the loss of her first love.
Tears started leaking out of your eyes just as you heard yelling and shooting webs. The backup you called was finally here whenever it was too late.
"Y/N, what the hell happened?" You heard Jess yell.
You couldn't respond and only sob into your blood covered hands. You felt a hand on your back that could have only been her's.
Though it did nothing to console you it was nice to have a human being by your side. You don't think anything could console you.
And that is how you stand today, universe still intact, Peter still dead.
Your canon event had been played out, and Miles Morales finally walked into the Spider Society HQ with Gwen Stacy.
Just as you predicted he asked about the picture, and just as you predicted he was taken aback. You could do nothing but stare.
Nobody told him that you had watched his mentor die, and you were grateful, but a part of you wishes that you could have consoled him just like nobody could've on that day with you.

I don't know if you do request, but if you do. Could you do Joel Miller x Reader? Where he saves you and whatever else you want. With a pre-established relationship and like 1500 words maybe or less?
Hi hun ! Thank you for your request. It's pretty short, as I feel like it's a concept that I've done before and I didn't want it to be repetitive. I still hope it's fluffy enough for you.
Tumblr media
The first time you met a clicker
CW: Clicker, regular violence.
Pre-established relationship, reader is gender neutral.
You both knew what you were going into with this stupid quest. But you needed the rewards. Badly.
So you were out of the QZ, clearing out infected to facilitate smuggling deals. You had been slashing, shooting for what seemed like hours. You hadn’t run into anything too vicious, until you went to seek shelter and get some rest.
You were crossing the door of the abandoned house, flashlights and guns in hands. When you heard a terrifying clicking sound, you froze. You had heard of clickers before, Joel, your partner, had told you about them. But you never went face to face with one.
“We move. Slowly.” Whispered Joel. You nodded.
You backed away from the door, slowly, but your feet got stuck in the uneven floor. You fell on your ass. The smallest noise, and the clicker was all over you. You tried to push it away and you shot blindly. You could hear Joel’s swears. He couldn’t shoot anywhere, he could hurt you.
You fought with the hideous creature, trying to pull it away from you, dodging the slashes of his teeth. But it was putting his whole weight on you.
Finally, a loud bang. The creature fell on top of you, and you pushed it away with difficulty. During the fight, it probably broke one of your bones, you could barely move and breathe.
You barely had the time to get up, Joel had already his arm around you, encouraging you to run away as more infected were attracted by the noise. No more clickers thankfully. You shot in the mass of bodies, while Joel held you up, and you tried to gain ground, climbing a tall ladder up to some of the buildings. Joel stayed behind for a bit, shooting as many as he could, before joining you. The adrenaline kept the pain away for a while, but when your feet found the ground, you let yourself fall on your back with a grunt.
Joel was instantly hovering over you, checking your pulse, and checking for bruises. He lifted slowly your shirt to find a huge bruise on your ribs.
“Baby… can you move?”
“No. Not for a fucking while.” You grunted. “I think it broke some of my ribs or something.”
He nodded and laid beside you.
“Sorry I wasn’t fast enough.”
“Don’t be ridiculous.”
At the bottom of the building, you could hear the constant moaning of the infected searching for fresh flesh.
“I’m gonna have to bring you back home so we can get meds and apply ice. We’ll wait until the infected are dispersed enough…”
“Joel, just let me fucking die here. It’s not worth the trouble.” You argued. You knew you would only get in his way. That's what you had done for the last years.
“Stop. I can’t lose you. I’m not leaving you here.” His response was harsh and rushed, you knew he was getting emotional.
You nodded slowly, knowing he wouldn’t budge. His face hovered over yours, and he pressed a soft, reassuring kiss to your lips. Your hand went up to his greying curls, stroking them softly.
**
The walk home was tedious. Joel had to help you for most of it. Breathing was hard, and you couldn’t move in a certain way without hurting yourself. But you pushed through. When your feet finally met the floor of the apartment you shared with Joel, you fell in your bed.
Joel came to you with medication and water, which you happily took.
“I’ll try to find something cold that you can put on your wound… and I’ll go tell the guys they can put this deal deep in their ass.”
As he was heading to the bedroom door, you extended your hand to grab him by the wrist.
“Tomorrow. Stay here. You’re tired.”
Joel sighed. You were right. Helping you getting here exhausted him.
He kneeled beside you on the bed and helped you get out of your clothes, making you sometimes moan in pain. He kept apologizing each time he hurt you. Finally, you were left in your undergarments, and you were already feeling more comfortable without your clothes suffocating your painful ribs.
You watched him undress through half-closed lids. He laid near you with a painful groan. You couldn’t move enough to cuddle with him. Instead, he put his head on your chest, listening to your slow heartbeat.
“I think I’m getting too old for this.” Joel said.
You tried not to laugh.
“You’ll have to retire, old man, and let me take care of you.”
“Never. I’m takin’ care of you until I die.”
You rolled your eyes, but didn’t respond, as you were rapidly drifting to sleep.

teen dad; steve harrington
pair. steve harrington x ftm!reader
summ. steve gets reader pregnant and when reader needs him, steve's there for reader
gen. angst n fluff
tw. pregnancy, teen pregnancy, ftm pregnancy, mentions of violence, unsupportive family, birth scene (vague), coming out, probably messed up timeline (pretty vague tho)
wc. 1.5k
note. i haven't been able to write just about anything but this came to me last night and it felt good to write out. also like personally pregnancy n birth freak me out so idk where this came from??, expect a part 2, C/n = child name :)
To say things between you and Steve Harrington are complicated is an understatement. Freshman year you two were inseparable, hot on the hips, literally and figuratively. Always kissing in the halls, his arms wrapped around your waist, and your face buried in his neck. You were the 'it' couple of Hawkins High for a while. Then things went downhill. You two had your biggest falling out to date and didn't speak to each other for weeks; scathing stares across the lunchroom sent the message. And then, you discovered by some miracle you were pregnant! Only one man could be responsible and you knew it wasn't going to go well.
Steve was a lot quieter than you expected. You guess you couldn't really blame him, this was a big deal after all. You just expected more of an argument. He had asked if you were going to keep it though, and well, you didn't really know. You felt like he had taken the news a little too well or rather maybe he hadn't fully understood the severity of the situation.
Turns out, you did want the kid. Steve wasn't sure about it at first and you two had gotten into another fight over it. Steve had gotten over the fight at least -the child, his child was still something for him to process- and he came over with some flowers and other gifts, his form of an apology.
You two had tried to rekindle your relationship but it just wasn't there between your differing ideals at the time, your changing view on yourself, and Steve's blossoming feelings for Nancy. You couldn't really blame him, she seemed nice and she was gorgeous, and you, yourself, were starting to fancy someone else.
You two were pretty distant after that, busy with your own lives among other things. The only thing that did seem to connect you anymore was your child. And Steve's fighting with otherworldly creatures and protecting other children seemed to really set his paternal instincts on fire.
Though you two had stayed distant and as awkward as Steve felt, he broke through it to at least help you buy stuff for the baby. His parents were pissed at the news, he explained to you as you both strolled down the baby aisle of the nearest department store (that was not in Hawkins), but they would help and would force him to as well. You chuckled at that and Steve found the noise quite fond to his ears.
Once (or maybe a few times, actually), he had found you trying to build baby furniture on your own. He would lean against the door frame watching you struggle only for some fleeting moments where you hadn't noticed him yet but then he'd get that ever-eating guilty feeling and he'd announce himself with a chuckle and take whatever you were working on out of your hands. He found himself reminded of why you had been together in the first place when you would endlessly protest about helping him with at least some of it, you had said. These times were few and far in-between.
To Steve's credit though, he was there at the hospital with you the whole time. It was a bit of a pain for him (which you would later laugh at), between dodging his friends' questions of where he was and your family who weren't particularly thrilled about his existence in general, it was a bit of hit or miss experience for him. To his eternal gratefulness, you were actually nice to him even while literally birthing your child, though you had been squeezing his hand so hard that even the nurses thought you might've broken it. (You did not). And it seemed Steve's presence, for you at least, seemed to make the experience better; from just having his hand to hold, to his kind of hilarious reaction to the actual birthing of the baby, he -when you weren't screaming or crying in pain- brought you some calm. Until he was handed the baby and nearly dropped it tripping over a cord. He left the baby-holding to you after that.
Steve had even spent the night much to your family's dismay but your gratitude. He wasn't exactly the best partner nor friend but you hoped, you really did as much as you would never admit it to anyone, that he would at least try to be a decent father. You, of course, understood he was a meathead and a teenager, and that he hadn't been the greatest guy freshman year but it seemed like he was changing. You just hoped it was for the better.
After some months, which had not been full of Steve liked you hoped only for the sake of your child, you had made a discovery about yourself. You had to admit how much sense it made. Alas, your family did not feel the same at all. They went even as far as calling both you and your child "Satan spawn" which later you would be able to laugh about. But for now, you stand outside your house in the middle of winter, your baby bundled up and strapped to your chest, watching as all of your stuff gets thrown out. You stand there for a good few minutes frozen in amazement before, without realizing, a torrent of tears stream down your face. You only had one place to go.
You hate this so so so much. God, your family could handle a pregnant teen but not a trans one? You scoff at the thought before swallowing what pride you had -minuscule now- and knocking on Steve's door. For some reason, you feel guilty like you shouldn't have said anything for your baby's sake and now you're about to lay it on your ex-boyfriend and the father of your kid and who knows how he'll react? Will he take your kid and shun you? Want to kill you both? Take pity on you but ignore your identity? Your impatient foot-tapping stills when the door opens.
If ever you were thankful for Steve's absent parents, it's now. You involuntarily sigh at his sight while he freaks out at yours, mainly cause you and his kid are out in the cold. Before words can be exchanged, he pulls you in by the shoulder. You sigh again at the warmth of the Harrington house.
Steve's hands are now on his hips and you can tell his mind is going a million miles an hour; it's one look of his you'll never forget. He's drawn back into the moment, his mouth moving before he can even speak. "I- What are you doing here? And when did you get a haircut?" He reaches up to touch your hair, "It's so short," He mumbles. It doesn't seem like he hates it, more just like he's surprised.
"Those are two very different questions," You point out and he seems dissatisfied. You look down at your feet before actually explaining yourself. You start out with the whole getting kicked out thing and soon enough he does it; he asks the question.
"Why?" He's bewildered. Your family definitely had been better than his about the pregnancy, so it couldn't be that, right? But what was it?
You sigh and drop your head. "You have to promise to me, no matter what, that after I tell you, you will still take care of C/n, alright?" You look up at him, holding out your pinky.
"A pinky swear, really?" His brows raise, looking at you.
"Just- Steve, please,"
"Alright, alright," He puts his hands up before hooking his pinky with yours, "I promise."
You pretty much guide him into his own kitchen, allowing yourself to sit, and having him sit across from you. You tell him that you're trans and he looks confused, even asks you what that is. You can't help your laugh, "Steve, you're making this-"
"Difficult?" He looks at you expectantly.
"No," You shake your head. "You're making it easy," You assure him. You go on to explain what exactly you being trans entails and he nods along almost too much but you blame that on your nerves. Eventually, you manage to ask, "So...?"
"So, what?" He looks straight back at you.
"Steve, you're not... mad? Or going to take C/n? Call the police? Beat me up?"
His face contorts in confusion, "No.. to all of those." His eyes meet yours and soften.
Silently, you stare at one another. Steve breaks eye contact first, getting out of his chair and walking to your side. This is it, you think, he's going to strangle me or steal C/n away. Some part of you feels like you deserve it and you freeze in place. A strange warmth fills you when Steve awkwardly maneuvers around your baby to wrap his strong arms around you in a gentle but firm embrace. You're so taken aback you don't even hug back until he whispers, "It's okay." He even runs his fingertips over the ends of your much shorter hair and says with a smile that you can just feel, "I like it. It looks really good." And with that ever intact charm of his, he adds, "You look so hot."
You snort and so does he.

You know, I don't think we really talk about how brave Grover is because in canon he's very characterized as nervous and scared most of the time, but. I mean to be a Keeper/Protector in and of itself is a brave concept. You are risking death by monster to go and find demigod children who don't know how to fight or use their potential powers and bring them back to camp all by yourself, sometimes more than one. You have to constantly be in disguise which impacts your capacity to move or fight back. A lot of your kind have likely died protecting these kids. And the godly parents of these kids aren't compensating you or thanking you for bringing their kid back safely, but they likely get peeved if you don't.
And then to be a Searcher. Again you are alone against monsters and gods and other magical entities that might eat you or fight you. Again a lot of you have died trying to find Pan. A lot of them were your family members - your father, brother, uncle, etc. There are many monsters, many creatures out there that deceive you about his presence.
Grover has found all known children of the Big Three. He helped Luke, Annabeth and Thalia make it to camp and dealing with monsters the whole time because Luke kept seeking out fights. Despite this and despite seeing Thalia "die" in front of him, he still went back out! He spent a year in full disguise at a boarding school, went on his first quest, helps in the fight against Medusa, and so on. Even goes inside the Underworld with the other two, even though he hates the underground.
Despite all of that shit, he still goes out to find Pan after he gets his license and manages to bullshit his way into staying alive the whole time and help bring back the Golden Fleece.
Then he goes out again! Like right after he got back because he was at Bianca and Nico's school for a while posing as a student again and TTC happened in December. Goes on the quest to rescue Artemis and Annabeth.
After he goes back on the search for Pan. Six months later he goes into the Labyrinth (which is underground and he hate the underground). He lets Tyson come with him to find Pan, even though he's terrified of a Cyclopes and Tyson has the mentality of a young child.
He fights in the big battle afterwards, and then informs the other satyrs that Pan is gone - a decision that he knew could've had him exiled. Which they tried to do! And still he decides to go out and spread the word, despite the fact that other satyrs would likely be as dismissive of the news as the Council at CHB.
He confronts Morpheus while trying to rally other nature spirits. He helps battle! He's there in the bubble that Kronos makes with Percy, Annabeth, and Thalia, which means he was literally right next to a scary evil Titan that wanted to destroy everything!
He is so so brave!!
And if you correct Rick's math, then you get that he's around 14 (slightly younger, calcs put him at 13.7) at the end of the TLO, so he's the "youngest" on the team directly fighting Kronos, and when he becomes Lord of the Wild. Between TLT and TBoTL he's 12 and 13 by mortal standards. Yes, he's "technically" 16 right now but he was 28 in TLT which was supposed to have him pass as a 12 year old (since Percy was 12, turning 13) and so the math is not exactly half despite Rick saying so.
I guess we could argue that he was 14 in TLT and was just small enough to pass as a middle schooler, esp since Percy says he thinks Grover was held back because of his wispy goatee (which I always took to be a foreshadowing of Grover's goatman status, and not "he's a tiny 14 year old by human standards") and acne (was I the only 12 year old with acne) but I think it would be so funny for Percy, at 16, to a 32 year old bestie and a 13/14 year old bestie at the same time and everytime he says that people give a look and he just giggles to himself about it.
When he's 20 and Grover looks 15 but is actually 36 it's even worse because of how casually touchy he and Grover are and everyone is like "Percy plz stop calling Grover babe in public, you look like a pervert" and he's just offended hand on his chest, how dare you imply his relationship with Grover is inappropriate, they are both adults who love each other, and it's just gritting teeth, we know that Seaweed Brain but other people do not.
But lmao, anyway!! Grover is a brave brave boy! He is Lord of the Wild! He appears to be the head of the Council at camp as well! He takes charge and leads the nature spirits into battle as well. He was part of the planning group with the cabin leaders in HoO.
Despite his fears, he is so so brave! He would jump into front of a bullet for Percy (but Percy would not let him, Percy is so much "I would die for you, but if you even think about getting so much as a papercut to save me, I will be so fucking upset about it). Grover is so wonderful and cool and we need to talk about him more!!

Are you continuing The big Bad?
Because I love it !
I'm so glad you love it So here you go Last Part 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Big Bad | Ash
Tumblr media
⚫🔵“Such righteousness! Such divinity! Ohhhh~(Y/n)! You came.” ⚫🔵‘It doesn’t sound like I’m the one who’s coming but whatever’ ⚫🔵You bit your tongue opting to unfurl your dagger-pointed chains  ⚫🔵Excitedly he unsheathed his sword flying a foot above before pointing it in challenge  ⚫🔵You meet him with urgency wrapping your chains around his sword as you both fight for control ⚫🔵Slowly being pulled closer you plant your feet to swing him into an adjacent forest  ⚫🔵Taking the opening to start undoing incantation that forced your friend to be trapped ⚫🔵“(Y/n) you amaze me with how much damage a pure human-being can inflict on me, an angel!”  ⚫🔵Nearly completely releasing your friend you turn back around to fling the sword he flung at you ⚫🔵Continuing his attack with by darting towards you at neck breaking speeds you barely dodged ⚫🔵Launching yourself into the sky as you restrained him from behind once again flinging him into the dirt ⚫🔵“You have no one to blame for that but yourself, you so-called servant!”  ⚫🔵On emphasis you im stabbed the dagger into the back of his shoulder from your distanced landing  ⚫🔵Quickly releasing your friend you didn’t react as the black cat crawled to curl around your neck ⚫🔵“You’re an amazing creature, its a shame you enjoy fraternizing with filth–”  ⚫🔵Returning your weapon to nothing more than a choker you jump into the talons of Narcissa who carries you fast enough before Ash can fully recover ⚫🔵“-no worries, I’ll correct that slight flaw…and then…we can truly indulge in one another.”
As you finally were dropped into the portal leading you to your one of many bases you let yourself wince at the aching of your muscles. While you could take on supernatural foes it didn’t make it feel any better especially when you had let your muscles forget the pain while playing maid again. Immediately you began unzipping your ensemble as you heard the magical twinkle of magic and clackking of ice in your tub. Hopping in you let your muscles relax at the soothing burn of ice.
“(Y/n)nya, why are you so sore?! It's like your nyewbie all over again!”
No longer a cat was Blair, puffing her cheeks as she realized how much you were still wincing while in the ice bath. Reluctantly she came behind you hugging your exposed shoulder letting her nuzzle into your head with.
“Sorry Blair-y, I might have gotten a little soft hanging out with my kid–”
“Your kid!? He wouldn’t let you train?! What a tyrant!”
“Speaking of after tonight I’ve got to head back. He threw such a fit he’s probably worried himself sick–”
The cat’s face soured even more as she stared intensely at the back of your head, fighting the jealousy bubbling in her chest. You were always so angry when she would express it so she held back…just for you. Why were you trying to run off to this has-been? Hasn’t he existed long enough without your help?!
“Fine! Then I’m coming with!
You chuckled, shuffling yourself deeper into the ice. “Not this time. He’s allergic to cats.”
“Huh?! That monster! What about magical ones?!”
“Yup”
“Awwww.”
“But you can stay in the same city, my friend Adrian, do you remember?”
“Ugh well I guess I won’t be alone the whole time…Fine! I’ve decided I’ll stay in your safe house in the meantime!”
You laughed again before spacing out to think of what you should bring as a gift for your little bro. After all he’d be quite angry and maybe something sweet to lighten his yapping.

Fanfic Writer Ask Game: 😅 🤡 🛒 🍦🤗🧠🤲✅🤯 sorry if this is a lot lol
No worries I love asks and talking about my writing, so the more the merrier!
😅 What's a story or scene you've created that you're a smidge embarrassed exists?
The only one I really feel weird about is Tonight I Wanna See It In Your Eyes. Just cause it's so short and doesn't go into enough detail on what I was trying to portray. I did it for writers month and tried to write it in a day, which I can't do. I love the idea though and I fully intend to expand it more one day.
🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?
Driving On Down The Road and reason why Butt Fuck Nowhere is called that, and the whole of 100.000 Years, it's just so silly, but I really can picture them having that whole interaction.
🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.
Always angst, I can't help it. Paul's sensitivity and vulnerability, Gene's tough but caring.
🍦 What's the sweetest fic you've created so far?
Hold Me. No smut, just Paul in a dark place and Gene not knowing how to help, but still being there for him.
🤗 What advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?
Don't feel like you need to start from the beginning. Write whatever it is that has inspired you, whether it be a scene or phrase. If you get to a bit where you want a particular thing to happen but don't know how to write it just type insert smut here or insert fight here or whatever and go on to the next bit. After you've written the stuff you're confident with it's much easier to fill in the gaps.
🧠 Pick a character, and I'll tell you my favorite headcanon for them.
Here's a bittersweet head cannon about Paul and Ace for you. Neither of them will admit it, but they were close, and after Peter left they became closer. Paul didn't want Ace to leave and tried to keep him happy, even drinking with him on occasion. But he didn't want to get blackout drunk like Ace did, so it wasn't very successful. The pictures from The Elder/Creatures period, where they are holding onto each other - that's Paul silently saying don't go. But it was inevitable. And everything they have said since then comes from a place of hurt.
🤲 Would you please share a snippet of a wip?
Because you liked Let Me Know so much, this is a follow up to it, called Far From The House And The Family Fights in which teenage Paul has a fight with his parents and runs away to Gene.
“We received a letter from school today, Stanley.”
Stanley.  That meant he was in trouble.  Even so, Paul rolled his eyes and headed towards his room.
“You are not going anywhere, young man!”
Stanley and young man.  He was in a shitload of trouble!
“You are going to stay here and explain yourself!  You are on the verge of failing.  You haven’t done any homework and have been missing classes.  You’ve been drawing . . . penises in your schoolbooks.  And you told your teacher you didn’t need school because you are going to be a . . . rock star?”
Oops.  He hadn’t mentioned that particular ambition to his parents yet.
“What happened to you?” asked his father.  “You had so much potential.”
“God gave you this wonderful brain and you’re not using it,” said his mother.
Paul had heard this so many times before, and this time he lost it.
“Did he give me this stupid fucking ear too?  Because I’ll happily trade my brain for a real one!”
“Stanley Eisen!  Mind your language!”
✅ What's something that appears in your fics over and over and over again, even if you don't mean to?
Angst! Even when I try to write something happy or funny the angst creeps in. I don't want Paul to be unhappy all the time.
🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?
Fight scenes. Arguments I can do, but when it comes to the physical stuff I struggle. While I believe these guys probably did get into punch ups occasionally, I can't really visualise them, I've only seen fights on tv and we know how realistic those are lol
