so everyone knows my ASAU of Persona 5 Royal, A Righteous Rebellion. right? And we're all also aware of @scruffyturtles' Adult Confidant AU?

well I sorta fused them? tldr: i made a (mostly) Adult Confidant AU for ARR! Details below, if you're interested - and if you have any questions about it, please ask @rollthedice-playthecards or this blog here!

WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS FOR ARR! CANON-STANDARD TRIGGER WARNINGS!

The Fool and Strength (i.e. Igor & Caroline/Justine/Lavenza) are the same. Otherwise, everyone's changed.

The World (i.e. Protagonist) is Tae Takemi!

Her parents were abusive shitheads to her, and she got into a program that helped her escape for Tokyo.

Her first Persona is Merit-Ptah, a fictitious woman purported to be a chief physician of an Ancient Egyptian pharaoh and thus one of the oldest known women in medicine and science.

The Magician is Sadamu Niijima (transmasc!Sae)!

The home invasion that killed Mr. Niijima also led to his death, but Igor came upon his soul and reincarnated him into a hound (because of Shadow Sae's tattoos) for The Yaldabaoth Game™.

His first Persona is Turiddu, a Sicilian bandit whose gang was "legally held responsible" for a massacre, although the entirely of their role in it is disputed.

The Priestess is Sadayo Kawakami!

She was a member of Student Council, but when she brought up Kamoshida's abuse to Principal Omon "Bael" Kobayakawa, she lost her seat. Kobayakawa actually replaces Kaneshiro as the third major target.

Her first Persona is Elissa, legendary founder and queen of Carthage... oh, and I will be shipping her with Tae for my Kawakemi agenda. :)

The Empress is Chihaya Fukurai (Mifune)!

Yuichi "Mammon" Fukurai, her adoptive father, runs Fukurai Foods (Big Bang Burger's owner and more). Chihaya was setting up to inherit the business when Yuichi "changed his mind" and prepared to sell her off in an arranged marriage to Rikio Sugimura.

Her first Persona is Lakshmibai, an Indian rani who rebelled against the Bri'ish.

The Emperor is Sojiro Sakura!

He's a culinary prodigy studying under his adoptive parent (I haven't decided who yet, but they're Azazel) - a TV chef who runs a kids' competition a la Chopped Junior. They definitely abuse some of those kids.

His Initial Persona is Hamlet, the famous Shakespearean Prince of Denmark.

The Hierophant is Makoto Niijima, owner of Cafe Bianca.

She's been looking for her estranged younger "sister" for years now.

The Lovers is Munehisa Iwai!

Munehisa is Shujin’s star athlete. Excels in every sport in Shujin except volleyball, from which he was banned after standing up to Suguru "Asmodeus" Kamoshida.

Kaoru, his younger brother here, takes the role of Shiho, and Akimitsu Tsuda and Masa replace Nakaoka and Takeishi.

His Initial Persona is Barrow, a Great Depression-era criminal who robbed small stores, funeral homes and banks with his partner Ms. Parker.

The Chariot is Ichiko Ohya!

Leader of the photography club. She caught photos of Kamoshida’s dirty deeds in the past and is trying to find a way to expose them anonymously. Oh, and she has a long-distance girlfriend named Kayo.

Her Initial Persona is O'Malley, an Irish pirate queen so violent Elizabeth I considered sending the Royal Fleet after.

Justice is Toranosuke Yoshida!

I sort of split Goro's two roles in this AU. Toranosuke plays the Detective Prince trying to solve the case of mental shutdowns (+ the Phantom Thief case), but his brother-by-choice Benzo Kuramoto plays assassin and mental-shutdown-inducer for Masao Kuramoto, his grandfather. Tora joins the team in Oda's Palace, and they fight Benzo in Kuramoto's Palace - that's where Toranosuke achieves his Second Persona.

Speaking of Personas, his Initial one is Greenlefe, Robin Hood's second-in-command and the only one present at his death.

The Hermit is Takuto Niijima (Maruki)!

Makoto had a brief stint as a police officer, but after a influential asshole (Kuramoto) drove drunk and killed one Tomoyo Rumi, she attempted to dig into the situation and was dishonorably discharged. Soon after, she met Rumi's boyfriend, Takuto (an orphan with one shitty relative), and took him in.

He would be a third-year if he was still in school. He’s wasting away as he grieves Rumi's death. He can’t bring himself to kill himself, but he also doesn't want to be alive anymore.

His Initial Persona is Popol Vuh, a religious text of the mythology and history of the Kʼicheʼ Guatemalans.

The Fortune is Hifumi Hibino (Togo)!

After Mitsuyo disowned Hifumi for coming out as lesbian, Hifumi moved in with her wife Haru (they both end up with Makoto later). Hifumi took up busking/street shogi, not wanting to be reliant on Haru.

The Hanged Man is Akira Kurusu!

Not much for this guy right now - like Canon!Munehisa, he's an ex-yakuza who runs Indomptable, an airsoft store. Ren is his adoptive son.

Death is Sumire Yoshizawa!

A medical misdiagnosis (by her biological mother Yui, not that she knows it) left Sumire's sister in a coma. Ever since, Sumire can't see anyone unconscious without thinking of Kasumi.

Temperance is Ryuji Sakamoto!

An orphaned man who teaches PE at Shujin and moonlights in an escort service to take care of himself and his son Morgana.

Just after his college years, his mom's ex-husband killed her and then killed himself to escape the police, so he has no support system. Thus, he got himself into trouble with a duo of loan sharks so he could look presentable enough to replace Kamoshida.

He, Ann and Shiho were friends in high-school, but he never saw them again after graduating.

The Devil is Ann Takamaki!

An up-and-coming actress working hard to make it big. She's keeping her sexuality (and her girlfriends Shiho Suzui and Mika Abe) under wraps from everyone, including her manager.

At the end of the Confidant, she moves in with her old friend (and future boyfriend) Ryuji after Tae mentions him.

The Tower is Goro Shido (Akechi)!

Goro is a very temperamental young man with no methods of healthily and safely letting out his anger at the world and his shitty, abusive father.

After Shido's heart is changed, Ryuji (and Ann and Shiho) take Goro in.

The Star is Zenkichi Hasegawa!

Even if Zen doesn't know it, he's the best player in the shogi club at Kosei. It's discovered their "team" has been fixing matches, and Zenkichi is determined to find out who's cheating.

Jyun Owada, his senpai and club president, is jealous, and is trying to cause strife between him and his girlfriend Aoi to weaken him.

The Moon is Sophia Ichinose!

Sophia is a Greek immigrant who moved to Japan for work opportunities. She's Tae's science teacher, so Tae really likes her. Her daughter Kuon, however, has fallen in with a HORRIBLY nasty crowd - a bigoted group who hates (among other groups of people) Kuon's adoptive mother. Kuon, naturally, is conflicted, and this leads to conflict between her and Sophia.

The Sun is Haru Hibino!

A young politician whose bold eat-the-wealthy mentality does not sit well with older generations - for example, her father Kunikazu, who disowned her and silently smeared her campaigns so she'd waste her inheritance and never expose his criminality.

In the end of the whole story, Haru legalizes polyamorous marriage!

Judgement is Shinya Oda!

Uses they/them pronouns here.

After Shinya's mother Hanae was killed in cold blood, they joined the SIU to find the killer. She did something to piss off Kuramoto, though, so he and the director do everything they can to keep Shinya away from that.

The Faith is Wakaba Isshiki!

Daughter of Shujin's new counselor. A science prodigy.

I don't have much ideas for her yet, never mind her Personas.

The Councillor is Futaba Isshiki!

Shujin's aforementioned new counselor in the wake of Kamoshida's arrest. Believing the world to be "without life" without her deceased fiancee Kana, her Palace becomes a Graveyard, where she "raises the dead" by fixing their problems.

She only has one Persona - Chac Chel, an important Maya goddess of many things, most prominently both creation and destruction.

The Hope is Yuuki (Mishima)!

His ranged weapon is eye lasers. They use both he/him and they/them.

An A.I. made by Katsuo Akiyama, a regretful high-school bully who caused one of his victims to commit suicide.

Their first Persona is Thyrsus - a giant fennel staff that Yuuki uses like a weapon alongside the Persona aspect of it.

The Apostle is Yusuke Kitagawa!

The only original Phantom Thief to keep the power of Persona.

Ordered by Madarame Ichitaro (the killer of his mother and Police Commissioner) to investigate the Phantom Thieves after a series of mass heart-changings occur again.

Akane has a brother, Natsuhiko, and they share the Jail. Their mother, Takayo (Yusuke's beard) is still dead.

His Persona is Enjolras, and he later gets with Akira.

Lastly, a unique Arcana - The Actor, Morgana Sakamoto!

A theater prodigy at his school (not Shujin or Kosei) and Ryuji's son. He has no clues to his past before Ryuji, and he wants to know, but he also wants his dad to be happy. At the end of the Strikers arc, Lavenza becomes human, and he and Goro get the Sakamotos to adopt her as well.

that reblog about asking random questions about fics..... hmmmm. ive been curious for a while now - what's your thought process behind opddmh? any particular theme you've had fun exploring, or a potential overarching idea? i love hearing people explain the intricacies of their writing processes

ohhhhh my god oh my god. you have unleashed something within me ohhhhh my god. something cringe is awakening something very cringe is happening to me right now

referring to this post, talking about this fic :]

(im gonna put all of this under read more for the people that dont want to read this LMAO)

OKAY. TIME TO GET SO STUPID. IM SO SORRY FOR BEING LIKE THIS

at the core of this fic is trauma-- it's a story about emerging from indescribable pain and horror, only to walk into a world that treats you as a spectacle and your pain as entertainment. so much of opddmh's themes come from trauma, as every character's pov deals with it in distinct ways, none of which are particularly healthy LMAO. going into each characters pov, my thought process is always concerning how they would react to the situation in front of them, but always keeping that trauma over them as another deciding (often overpowering) factor. makoto at his core is still a caring man, but he has been so deprived by the company that has kept him there for so long that his natural response to unpleasant emotions or thoughts is to bury it in sake of putting on a show. mikan has always been very timid and regretful, but now many of her actions are sincerely doubted as being selfish or secretly evil, a temperament only aggravated by her status as blackened. akane's desire to "be strong" has only worsened to an extreme degree, as her first instinct is to drop anybody that could possibly remind her of weakness or the killing game.

these are killing game participants who are no longer the children they were when all of this started, people who did not sign up for this but have to keep going anyways-- and i LOVE exploring the implication of that postgame it is like a drug to me. theyve gone through unimaginable horror, most of them dont have families they can return to, and everybody in the world knows them as a beloved tv character. the only way for them to survive is to adapt, a strategy that not all of them have mastered. makoto, whose title as ultimate hope has been watered down sooooo so much, is the POSTER child (literally) for adapting, while characters like akane have still been significantly silenced by danganronpa but are unable to adapt entirely. it was important to me that i had povs which were different yet cohesive, and were able to convey the range of survival that these older participants have :] and this includes the secret fifth pov that hasnt been introduced yet >:)

these are no longer people in the public's eyes as much as they are entertainers (which by the way, i love writing this aspect of postgame dr lololol the PERFORMANCE of it all). my friend lily made such a good comment about it at one point and i dont remember her exact words but it was something along the lines of "the audience doesn't want the performer, they want the performance" which is soo true of this universe in particular. so when i write these different people i like to keep in mind the person they are and they person they present themselves as. so many of the older participants are so jaded its insane

but then theres v3!! there are NEW kids here. trauma is so important as a theme when it comes to how these characters interact with each other, and ESPECIALLY how the older characters are able to see themselves in the younger ones. a lot of the character dynamics were chosen deliberately so that the v3 kids mirror the older participants!!!!!!!!!!!!! v3 hasn't been desensitised just yet, they haven't lost touch with their anger and sadness and fear like a lot of the older participants have. i find it important while writing to remember how NEW these kids are, especially when it comes to writing people like miu, who isn't ready to give in to danganronpa conformity just yet and is trying her hardest to be better (or at the very least, not the same miu iruma, ultimate inventor that everybody watched on their television screens). and then of course you have characters like angie and rantaro, who are DEEEEEEEEP in denial and unable to properly move out of that first stage of grief just yet lmao. they are fortunate(????) enough that the journey they go through is a lot more private than some of the other characters can say theirs were. a lot of the time i write about the newer v3 participants i make an effort to refer to them as young or as children/teens because they Are. theyre so Young and it definitely effects how they handle themselves !!!

so much of this fic is about trauma but so much of it is finding strength in others as well, even if its moving slowly towards it lol. it's important to me that there is hope in the fic, that even though it feels like they are very isolated at the moment they arent entirely alone. things get worse before they get better but they do get better and i wanted there to be peace in the relationships they build with each other

also fun fact this story was originally a one shot where miu jumps into makotos car they chat and then he drops her back where she came from lol! would have really cut this story short!

Answers below.

Peter OTP: Peter/Nebula, of course. If the 100k+ words of fanfiction I've written about them is anything to go by, they are my OTP of all time. <3 I want Peter to move on and find happiness with someone new after vol. 3 and the movie planted the seeds for these two ending up together in the future really well I think. BrOTP: This was the hardest to decide because I love Peter's friendships with all the other Guardians. Gonna go with Mantis here though because I love how she looks out for her bro and tries to steer him in the right direction. Wish we'd gotten to see more of them being siblings after the holiday special 'cause the confirmation that she was Peter's sister made me so happy! TuT OT3: Shipping Peter with Nebula and Gamora at the same time would be really weird so instead I'm gonna go with Nebula/Peter/Thor in like, a V shaped polycule where Peter is dating them both but Nebula and Thor aren't into each other. NOTP: Ro/quill. I don't think I need to explain myself with this one, but shipping the raccoon with the humanoid characters is weird and gross to me.

Nebula OTP: Same as above, I think her implied feelings for Peter in vol. 3 make all the sense in the world. I mean, why wouldn't Nebula fall for the same person as Gamora? That's just how her life is. I think these two being together would fit their arcs well. Nebula learns to accept that she doesn't have to always be competing with Gamora in order to be worthy of love, and Peter gets his shit together enough to see how Nebula stuck by and cared for him and how Gamora was right about how the person he fell for "sounds more like her." BrOTP: I love her friendship with Rocket so much! Two sad cyborgs goin' on adventures together for five years, I'd kill to see more of that. OT3: Same as above as well I guess, but I don't see Nebula being poly. NOTP: I'm fine with all the big Nebula ships really even if I don't consume their content.

Mantis OTP: I used to ship Mantis/Nebula back in the day and I think that's still my fave Mantis ship even if I no longer go there. I also like the idea of her having a crush on Gamora. BrOTP: Mantis and Drax are my favorite duo ever. Just a couple of strange goofballs pranking each other and causing chaos. OT3: Can't think of anything for this one. NOTP: I don't hate Mantis and Drax as a romantic pairing but them just being weird best friends means so much to me. We need more platonic M/F relationships like them.

Phos OTP: I like all the Phos ships but can't deny that Phos/Cinnabar is my favorite. I know you haven't read the manga yet but I reread this one part of it earlier in the week that makes me wanna throw Phos in the trash because we could have had it all!! xD BrOTP: I really enjoyed Phos and Cairngorm's dynamic. OT3: Phos/Cinnabar/Antarc. Idk how it'd work out but all I know is that I want all three of these rocks to be happy. NOTP: I'm not picky with HNK ships but I'm sure some people ship Phos with Aechmea so no thanks to that.

Toko OTP: Toko/Komaru! These two mean the world to me. Seeing Toko end up with an amazing girlfriend who supports and loves her after everything she's been through and the development she underwent in Ultra Despair Girls damn made me cry. BrOTP: I love the interactions between her and Makoto in her Free Time events. The Naegis are the only ones who can tame this girl. OT3: I like the Toko/Sayaka ship so I can imagine an AU where she survives and throuples up with Tokomaru. NOTP: Byakuya. These two are the worst for each other and no one can change my mind.

Aoi OTP: I very much enjoy her and Sakura together. BrOTP: Yuta Asahina deserved better and in my personal headcanon, he survives UDG and gets to see his sis again. OT3: I think Sakura had a boyfriend so sandwich Hina in between them. NOTP: Got no strong negative feelings for any Hina ships.

Sakura OTP: Same as above. Love me a big buff sporty girlfriend and her smol buff sporty girlfriend. BroTP: I really enjoyed her Free Times with Makoto, too. OT3: Same as above. NOTP: Also same as above. It's hard to go wrong with Sakura ships.

Papyrus OTP: I don't ship Papyrus with anyone but I remember liking Papyrus/Mettaton when I was younger. BrOTP: I fucking LOVE his friendship with Undyne. Anyone who doesn't call Papyrus and Undyne in every room in the game to see what weird shit they say is missing out. OT3: I got nothin'. NOTP: Font/cest. Don't understand why this is such a big thing.

Sans OTP: These days I like the idea of Sans being aroace but I remember having a very brief phase of shipping Sans/Asgore xD BrOTP: Him and Papyrus ofc, but I also like him seeing Frisk as a little sibling, too. OT3: Sans/Fries/Ketchup NOTP: Fr/ans. That is a child...

Makoto said he needed to study for finals, so we decided to hold a study group with everyone.

Beside, who knows when the mysterious children will show up again. We decided to go there whenever we had time!

Mini Fanfic #1054: The Big Bang Burger Queen (Super Smash Bros Ultimate)

1:34 p.m. at Big Bang Burgers.......

Dark Pit: You wanna work at the Gates of Hell Bar sometime this year?

Ren: Yeah. I've been studying and taking a class on bartending as of late that it made me want give it shot one of these days. Plus, that, in it of itself could possibly help me start forming a bond with Uncle Rodin down road, so why not at this point, you know? (Takes a Sip of the Milkshake He Ordered) Hey, by the way, what kind of person IS this Rodin guy exactly? Was he really a Fallen Angel at point or.....

Dark Pit: Oh yeah. A powerful one too from what I heard. (Picks Up One of the Chili Cheese Fries From the Mini Basket and Twirls it Around a Little) He also sells and specializes weapons that range from demonic to possible universe shattering. (Finally Takes a Bite of the Chili Cheese Fry) Oh and him and our goddess mom kinda hate each other with a passion.

Ren: Seriously? How come?

Dark Pit: (Shrugs) Don't know. But whenever we go down to the bar to visit him, they would always glare at each other for nearly thirty minutes before one of us says anything. It was that intense too.

Ren: Yeesh. Here's hoping I could along with with our uncle I guess. (Takes Another Sip of his Milkshake)

Dark Pit: Nah, I wouldn't worry too much about him honestly. He's a cool guy all things considered, same with Uncle Enzo. Not sure what's everyone's beef with though.

Ren: Yeah, I've been wondering that too. Heard witch mom and Auntie Jeanne said he was loud and greedy or whatever. You think we should get him something for Uncle's Day?

Dark Pit: (Shrugs) If it helps makes him feel better. (Takes Another Bite of his Fries) Speaking of which, you and Makoto got any plans for Valentine's Day coming up?

Ren: Haven't planned anything yet. But I'm sure we'll think of something eventually. (Sips on his Drink Again) What about you and your two ladies?

Dark Pit: Haven't decided on anything for it either. But we did plan on meeting Kyoko's mom someday this week, so....there's that.

Ren: Cool. (Smirks at Dark Pit) You nervous?~

Dark Pit: (Scoffs While Crossing his Arms and Looking Away) As if! I've never been nervous in my entire life.

Ren: (Raises an Eyebrow) Really?

Dark Pit: Yeah. R-Really.

Ren: I don't believe you.

Dark Pit: Yeah, well.....I don't believe your face! How that's?

Ren: Wow. Couldn't even give me a proper insult. You really are a nervous wreck.

Dark Pit: ('Sighs in Defeat') Was it really that obviously?

Ren: Considering how you gave up like that, I'd say it's pretty telling. Now talk to me.

Dark Pit: (Takes a Deep Breath Before Speaking) Okay, so....When Kyoko first suggested the idea of meeting her mom for the first time, I've been....thinking......

Ren: About?

Dark Pit: About how I usually act towards people, my personality. I'm a lot a things. A-

Ren: Jerk, broody, show off, hot head, stubborn to a point, lazy, a whole lot of smart-assery, and list goes on from here if you ask me.

Dark Pit: (Glares at Ren) You're enjoying this, are you?

Ren: (Starts Smirking Again) I wouldn't be your loveable big brother if I didn't.

Dark Pit: (Groans While Rolling his Eyes) As I was saying, I'm a lot of things....that you mentioned. ('Sigh') I dunno, I'm just scared that she wouldn't like me a that much because it......

Ren: That's it?

Dark Pit: Yep. Pretty dumb, right?

Ren: (Chuckles Lightly) No! It's completely normal for anyone be nervous around their significant other's parental figures. Like take me and Makoto's sister for example. Do you really think her signature Niijima Glares were just for show? She used to hate my guts even before her sister and I started dating.

Dark Pit: (Chuckles Lightly as Well) Yeah, I can tell. And seeing you get scared shitless by it is always a treat. Made me want to try it out for myself.

Ren: (Shrugs) You can try all you want, you can never top the original. (Shivers a Bit) It soul sucking levels of Intimidating.....(Starts Clearing his Throat) But anyways, let me ask you something, Pitto: I you are all those thing I, proudly, mentioned.....

Dark Pit rolls his eyes again much to Ren's ego boosting.

Ren: Then tell me why they've decided to date you, continue to love and adore you as each time passes, and why they've gone out of their way to make a Protection Squad decaded to you with THEM running the whole thing-

Dark Pit: Which they didn't have to do by the way.

Ren: Yeah. But they did it anyway. And you wanna know why?

Dark Pit: (Sighs as He Answers the Question) It's because they love me for....who I am?

Ren: (Snaps his Finger and Points at DP With a Proud Smile on his Finger) Exactly! You mean the world to them, kiddo, no matter what kind of annoying traits you have in your system. I'm sure you feel the same about them and their own traits, right?

Dark Pit: Definitely! They can be a pain sometimes, but I wouldn't trade them for anything.

Ren: Then you should make a good enough impression to her by just being yourself, not someone you're not.

Dark Pit: And if she doesn't like him in the end?

Ren: Then give her some time, she'll warm up to you eventually. Buuuuuut if you still my advice on whole thing, then I suggest you try easing up on the smart mouth attitude.l just in case.

Dark Pit: Noted.

Ren: Why, thank you, my good si- (Eyes Suddenly Begins to Widened) Wait, what now?

Employee: Oh. You haven't heard? Someone has already beaten your record for the Big Bang Challenge a few days ago.

Ren They WHAT!? Who?

The BBB employee presents Ren and DP the Wall of Fame at the other side of the establishment where it honors those who were brave enough to take on the Big Bang Burger Challenge in speed time. The picture framed below the words "BIG BANG BURGER CHAMPION" was taken towards a very familiar looking girl smiling awkwardly at the point of view. The girl in question none other then.....

Ren: Makoto!?

Employee: (Happily Nodded) Yep. Makoto Niijima, our newly Big Bang Burger Queen!

Dark Pit: She is really taking title to heart now, huh?

Ren: I'm Face Calling her.

Ren takes his phone out of his pants pocket and makes a Face Time Call to his girlfriend. It only took him a few seconds she finally answered.

Makoto: (Other Line) Hello?

Ren: Heyyyyy, honey.

Makoto: (Smiles Brightly at the Phone Screen) Oh Hi Ren-Ren!~ How are you today?

Ren: Pretty good all things considered. What about you?

Makoto: I'm doing good myself Top. Ann and Shiho invited me out to lunch with them. (Shows off the Couple and the Table They're Sitting Behind Her)

Ann/Shiho: (Happily Waves at the Screen) Hi, Ren-Ren!~

Ren: Cool, cool. Pitto and I are doing the same.

Dark Pit: 'Sup.

Ren: But uhh...Quick question though, nothing too major, but you mind telling me why a certain lady with the same lovely name and face is crowded the Big Bang Burger Queen? (Shows Makoto the Picture of Her Under the Wall.of Fame)

Makoto: (Eyes Widened in Fear) Oh no....

Ann/Shiho: (Smirks Devilishly at Their Queen) Busted!~

Makoto: I-I-I can explain!

Ren: I sure hope so. Cuz....didn't you always tell me not to take on the challenge myself, sId something about...."Not being healthy" or whatever?

Makoto: I-I did, but....uhhhhhh.....

Ren: (Raises an Eyebrow) "Uh?"

Makoto: ('Sighs in Defeat') Okay, so a few days ago when Ann and I went out to Big Bang Burgers to eat....(Turns her Head Back to the Couple) A certain pigtails behind me has the BRIGHTEST IDEA to dare me to do the challenge before calling me a chicken!

Ann: You're still a chicken for snitching!! (Blows a Raspberry at Makoto While her Girlfriend Begins to Giggle)

Makoto: (Rolls her Eyes While Turning Back to the Screen) Anyways, she kept pestering me to do it until I eventually caved in and in some....unexpected miracle, I managed to eat the whole thing while beating someone's record in the process. I'm not sure who that person was though.

Ren: Oh! Uhh....I'm....sure it's no on-

Dark Pit: It's Ren. Ren was the record you beat.

Ren: (Immediately Glares at Dark Pit) You snitch!

Dark Pit: (Shrugs) Hey, she was going to find out eventually.

Makoto: (Starts Giving Ren a Disappointed Glare) And I'm glad I did. When exactly did you taken this challenge, mister? And don't even think about lying either!

Ann: No way out now, Mr. Burger King!~

Ren: (Let's Out Heavily Sigh in Utter Defeat) It was....back during the day it was first opening.....

Makoto: (Eyes Widened in Complete Shock) That long!?

Ren: Yeah.....(Points at DP Behind Him) And Pitto knew about it.

Makoto: (Immediately Glares at the Dark Angel) Pitto-San!

Dark Pit: Alright, alright, fine! I did knew about it. And.....it was after Misako, Kyoko, and I did the challenge ourselves, which we failed miserably by the way.

Makoto: (Rolls her Eyes Again) Uh-huh. But anyways, do you mind if I call you back later? Where these two hooligans behind me aren't around taunting me?

Ren: Yeah, I don't mind. Hope you guys have a great lunch date.

What I like about them

I love Makoto's arc of realizing she's just a tool of adults who don't care about her, and its not worth it to compromise herself just for their approval. It's very powerful and relatable. I also like her confidence and intelligence. She really is like an honorary second leader to the Phantom Thieves who keeps them grounded. Without her the Thieves probably would have been found out a lot sooner. Akira can be...a little reckless, lol.

Also. She's hot.

What I dislike about them

Ok, before I get into this rant, let me first say: Makoto is one of my favorite Thieves. She's slowly lowered in my internal ranking of them over the course of the past year as I've soured on where her arc ended up and other Thieves overtake her as I grow to better appreciate their arcs, but I still love her, and I say all of this as a Makoto stan.

That said. Literally everything about her becoming a cop. It's not only an insult to Akira's trauma and a flat-out contradiction of the game's core themes, but it also walks back any progress Makoto makes in her character arc. Because, let's face it, Makoto can be a bit of an authoritarian. She's very uncompromising and stubborn in her point of view. Her confidant wants you to think that her friendship with Eiko expands her worldview, but in then the entire situation resolves with Makoto being Right and using her Fist of Justice to force Eiko into doing what Makoto thinks is best. Like a cop would. What happened to Makoto's flaw of being too stubborn and close minded? The narrative ends up taking Makoto's side and saying she was right all along. She doesn't learn anything.

I should probably write a more in depth analysis of her at some point because it is SO frustrating but I'm really tired of the fandom taking it out on her when its the writers' fault for screwing up what was intended to be her character arc.

Favorite moment

Her Awakening, no contest. One of the best Awakenings in the whole game.

Least favorite moment

Any scene that revolves around her dream to become a cop. Especially when the game forces Joker to support her in that goal after everything he's been through.

A situation with this character that I want to see explored more

This is probably obvious by now, but I want to see Makoto realizing her dream of becoming a "good cop" is fundamentally flawed and changing her career goals accordingly, deciding to reform the system in a way that doesn't turn her into just another cog in the machine that nearly ate her up in the first place.

Makoharu!!! It's my second favorite Persona 5 ship after Akeshu. I Love Them. Their friendship in the game is really sweet, I love how Haru is able to get Makoto to relax and loosen up a little, and how they're both ruthless but in contrasting ways. They're like opposites and yet the same (haha, like akeshu). They're just so cute and wholesome. And the Aesthetic is perfection. I adore their showtime.

Makoann is cute.

Makoto and Akechi, also Makoto and Ryuji. The Potential of both of those friendships is tragically untapped in canon other than Makoto and Ryuji's Showtime, which to be fair, is amazing.

Makoto x Joker. I don't hate it but I also don't ship it to the point I haven't romanced her despite her being my waifu. Yeah I know I'm a weirdo. I plan to romance her on a future playthrough ok.

An assortment of headcanons

She plays animal crossing and has her island organized Just So. The Thieves make fun of her for practically running a military state with how organized it is and how stale its aesthetic becomes with everything made of metal and stone. Haru helps liven the place up by planting flowers all around the island.

Makoto becomes like a surrogate older sister to Akane and becomes the kind of person for Akane that she wishes Sae had been for her.

Makoto and Haru go to the same college and become roommates (oh my god they were roommates).

Year In Review

It is 9:00 PM on December 29th and I am sitting in my bedroom with painted nails that are drying. I went sparkly to ring in the festivities of New Year's and our upcoming trip to Mexico. I wanted to take some time to reflect on this last year with some questions I found on Pinterest and thought this would be the perfect time to start the blog up again...

My word for 2022: Celebration

Best thing I did for someone else this year: Although it was very mutually beneficial, moving in with my dad was something that I think really helped him. Being in our family home alone probably feels very lonely and so I am very glad Makoto and I lived with my dad during my pregnancy and the first four months of Kenzo's life.

Most memorable moment of the year: Although there were many moments that are in the running, I'd say the 24 hours between having my water break and starting labor. I feel like that time period is seared into my brain. From FaceTiming people telling them my water broke, quickly packing up our bags, spending a few hours in the hospital, deciding to go back home, going back to the hospital the next morning, almost having an emergency c-section, having family visit the room, to the start of more serious labor. It was a wild 24 hours.

One great compliment you received this year: One that I get over and over is that I am my mom's legacy. I so badly wish she was here, but to know that so many people see my mom in me and know that I am making her proud really gives me peace.

Best advice you received this year: I feel like one or two moms told me to trust my gut and I feel like that has been something I keep coming back to when it comes to parenting Kenzo and even other areas of my life. Things like co-sleeping, pureé feeding, all the affection we give him. Somehow it just feels instinctual to know what to do for Kenzo.

Something you had never done before: I haven't felt like I've truly led something before but when we said yes to leading at YWAM Denver I feel like we had to step up. We are in charge of setting culture, making the final call on decisions, and having people look to us. It's been very stretching to not only learn how to lead a base, but learn to lead people as well.

Favorite place you visited this year: We didn't travel too much this year. We went to Oregon, California, Colorado, and Mexico if I'm not mistaken. Obviously Mexico was my favorite. Between the stunning sunrises, my favorite people, and being at a resort I'd never been to, it was just a great time.

Biggest lesson learned: God doesn't owe us anything and that gratitude is always a choice. After mom died I wrestled with the why's and the frustration of her not being healed, but God is still good and His nature is good and so I don't have to understand why He did something if I know those things to be true. Also, it is very easy to find the negative or to focus on what you don't have but there is always something to be grateful for and there are usually way more good things happening in your life than there are bad things.

Most newsworthy event: Accepting the position of campus leaders of YWAM Denver. It is still crazy to me that this is our life and yet at the same time it's hard to imagine us doing anything else right now. I am very thankful Mak and I get to be in full time missions again and that we get to be in Colorado while we do it.

What/whom are you most thankful for this year: I am most thankful for Kenzo but that is so obvious. He changed my life. After him I would say that I have come to feel very thankful for my church family. I am blessed to have been able to walk with them for twenty years now and have such consistency with them. I look around on Sunday and am filled with gratitude that I am a part of this church body.

Favorite show of the year: I continued to watch the rest of the series of Gilmore Girls at the start of this year and then Mak and I got into House for a few months. I'm rewatching GG since we moved onto the base and that's been fun. I love that show!

Favorite moments of the year:

+ Biking from our house in HB to Pacific City or a bench across from the ocean to think and read and journal.

+ Styling our basement apartment at dad's house.

+ Dad visiting HB and us going to the San Diego Zoo and whale watching.

+ Doing the babies course with Haylee.

+ Saying goodbye to my mom in the hospital.

+ Mom's celebration of life service.

+ Our trip to Mexico.

+ My walks around the pond with Kenzo.

+ My first date with Kenzo when we walked around the city.

+ Our stay in the hospital after Kenzo was born.

+ Doing silver sneakers with Haylee with our instructor Ken.

+ Our yard sale in HB as we started moving out of the house.

+ Our date day in Portland where we went to Twinings tea, got our favorite ramen, and the best Portland fog donuts.

+ Mak getting a tattoo of my name.

+ Moving onto the base.

I'm sure there were many more memories than just these, but these stood out in the few minutes I've sat here thinking about it.

In my next post I'm going to look forward to 2023!

Still you decided to respect his boundaries even if the mystery was driving you crazy.

Soon after you gave up on trying to find his real reasons you found his little notebook. How do you know it was his? By how it looked... Also you took a look at the last page and noticed his handwriting.

I hope you This letter is I'm writing to you because Today I've decided to be more honest open with you. I often tend to overthink our relationship almost all of our interactions. I just want to know if I'm not taking some things you say out of context. I really like you and I guess this letter is my way of telling you.

After that you couldn't tell what was written anymore concerning how many times it was crossed over. But you saw his sign at the very end of it. So there was no mistaking it that it came from him. You decided to bring it up to him once you give the notebook back.

Upon your meeting, Makoto was nervous and you knew why. Although you could get away with acting like you haven't seen anything just perfectly, the moment of surprise by his confession was pretty much ruined at this point. Yet it didn't make his attempted gesture any less sweet.

"I'm sorry but I did peek inside" you admitted with a small hint of hesitation. He was flustered "Oh-... So uh... What do um... What do you think?" he was at a loss for words. He wanted to back down with his question but it was already too late.

You didn't put on any act as you smiled at him and said "I really like you too" and it made his heart beat a thousand times in a second. Maybe things would go better if you haven't found that letter. Or maybe he would end up not having enough courage to send it to you. Who knows? Right now I guess you can call what just happened an awkward- but cute start of a promising relationship.

I think Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy is probably one of my favorite ongoing anime right now. I've been reading the light novel and I just keep having feels about it.

It's easy to dismiss it as just another isekai or harem show but it has a habit of surprising me. A lot of isekai anime are just regurgitations of tropes in new slightly different configurations, but unlike those stories, the author of Tsukimichi (Kei Azumi) seems to have something to say. There are obvious themes and explorations on beauty, power, responsibility, mental illness, and the power of familial love.

I don't know if the author intended it or not, but I think it's really interesting that Makoto has trouble connecting to feelings besides anger and embarrassment, that his decisions only take him and his friends into consideration, that he feels nothing when he kills a person he doesn't know, and that he can be destructive and impulsive on a national level without realizing how others will perceive it. To me personally, he comes across as someone with a severe mental illness who grew up in the best environment possible and learned to cope with most of his issues in healthy ways.

He would be a totally different character if his environment and connection to other characters were taken away, and the story plays with that constantly. The anime hasn't gotten there yet (super light spoiler warning for details that are not as far as I know, important to the larger plot), but at some point he's granted dreams of true alternate realities of his path and they are all incredibly dark. In those other realities he was left alone with his fear and anger and became a terrifying destructive force.

In his own timeline, multiple side characters realize that he has no qualms about killing (even if he only ever does it to save or avenge friends, a classic hero trope) and decide that he's scary and needs watching. When one of his closest companions starts to worry about him falling victim to bloodlust, another close friend tells her that Makoto will never love killing because life means nothing to him.

But my favorite part of this reading is that Makoto is a kind, thoughtful boy, who treats his friends well, treats every new person he meets with respect, helps any random little girl that is in danger around him, and generally bends over backwards not to hurt anyone who isn't actively attacking him or his allies. The people who love him know he has some dangerous faults and love him totally and completely anyway and without fear.

I haven't finished the series quite yet, so I hope this doesn't slap me in the face, but it feels like a really nuanced, positive depiction of a mentally ill protagonist and I love it.

Jacqueline O'Lantern : That's something amazing. We usually worked together as a team, comrades that always stick together. We're on the right track, so It's hard to think that I'm fallen in love with a girl that a witch, I heard that she's a real beauty when it comes to being a cutie. Yeah, I've been slacking off lately, I was, uhh, in bit of a pickle.

Makoto : So what happened after you came into the foreign lands of the United States on the East Coast?

Jacqueline O'Lantern : After I got suspended after I botched another missions, I traveled to Quebec where I even met frenchie, Harvar D. Eclair and became friends on that occasion, but after making a pit stop in Vermont in order to catch a break, I met the girl that the force to told me to protect someone and that someone is Kimial Diehl, the girl who used called Kimiko she's a descendant of a witch who was executed 1000 years ago.

Makoto : Heh. Looks like you got the right girl and I got the right one. We're both doubt that we're comrades always sticking together. We have our respective female fiances.

Jacqueline O' Lantern : I got Kimial who is chosen as her protector...

Makoto : And I got Maka to be protected as well.

Kazuki : How's everything going, Makoto? Still wandering about the girl you saved all those years ago? I've known your progressing of fighting against to tie in with the detectives to fight against the evils that lurks danger in their eyes.

Makoto Asagiri : Kazuki Kuroshima.

Kazuki : That's Kazuki Kurosaki to you.

"Kazuki Kurosaki : Phantom of the Kuroshima".

Kazuki : So, the famous hero has decided to make a return to seeing the girl that he loves, but in most terms of it, you'd be slacking off after what happened in the country 9 years ago. My, My, I heard about you going in for a surprise.

Makoto : Lighten up, Kazuki. I did much of my time saving people's lives from those criminals and you had to ace it up, haven't you forgotten that I was the one who saved Maka's life before you saved someone's life, do you?

Kazuki : Of course, this young girl on this photo is exactly the girl who comes from a family of ninjas after the older brother went missing all those years ago. (photo of Tsubaki Nakatsukasa) I'd believe that she's also somehow connected to those Shattered Meister and this is the younger sisters of a world class famous ninja that presumed to be dead. Luckily man dressed in white as a Shinobi was the one that founded Tsubaki after she regained her passion when she revealed that her brother was killed by the creatures of the living dead, heartless.

Makoto : Yeah, those creatures born from a person's heart and bred from a thing that they call it "Darkness". That's the real reason Tsubaki decides to live alone as a Government agent working with another female ninja employee, Nightshade Hibana.

Kazuki : True, because the Nakatsukasa were allies to us and we helped the invasive Star Clan that were trying to put Japan in Darkness and would claim it as their own. But they left a certain child to be carried away by the heartless, living in the shadows when he realizes that Shinra's Influence has made him too cocky and I Kazuki of the Kuroshima, has grown tired of his attitude. That's why Tsubaki has fallen for me, she was a girl who is worth the money from the Yakuza after Nightshade Hibana.

Jean : Kazuki, Makoto, Jacqueline!

Makoto : What's the rush!

Jean : We have information that the heartless have made a comeback after the seeker of Darkness, Ansem was defeated by one of the Keyblade wielders. Ansem is seeking a revenge plot to destroy the only source that brought the heartless attention' due to the influence of the Kusakabe Legacy.

Makoto : What about the intrusion in Paris?

Jean : I'm afraid so. It appears that we caught someone that has the ability to turn into a shadow which somehow has connection to the Nakatsukasa that wanted Tsubaki dead and you Kazuki meddling with it somehow.

Makoto : There's what?

*CHAINS SHACKLING*

Masamune : Oi, hanase! Get these chains of off me! I wanted to become a Kishin! Why are you taking me here!? Who do you think you are!?

Kazuki : A shadowy figure, that's the same figure that was targeting a village and Tsubaki as well! You there, unveil this man's face for me!

Phantom Member : Yes sir! (removes sack to unveil Masamune's head)

Makoto : No way, the Masamune that Tsubaki loves is...

*DBZ SFX : Shock*

Jacqueline O'Lantern : Yeah, Just as I expcected. A heartless in disguise. According to the villagers, he was possessing the hearts and souls of the villagers after he went missing all of those years before Kazuki even met Tsubaki to be fallen for him.

Makoto : So that's what got the Heartless Attention? It's that damn legacy Maka was being under the influence. Someone's getting the attention to these guys.

Heartless Masamune : Why is everybody looking at me! I'm no heartless, I'm human! All I wanted was to see my sister smile again, I don't know how to begin with! I wanted her heart and Soul just to become the Kishin! That's what makes me evil to bring ultimate power!

Kazuki : Enough of your lies, Heartless scum! I saw you stealing people's hearts and souls, and you tried to take Tsubaki's away, you calling yourself a brother to Tsubaki, you aren't Masamune Nakatsuaksa that I known about! You took his personality so that you would become something else! If you ever lay a finger on her, I would mercifully kill you! Don't you remember, your family helped my clan to stop the Star Clan that were actually monster or heartless that tried to take over a village, saving lives and protect the light in her heart.

Kazuki : You only wanted to see your sister again do you, and a heartless like you, you just wanted to kill her so that you want to steal her heart and soul.

Heartless Masamune : I don't know why Lord Death wanted to call me a Kishin. I don't want to die like this. I just wanted the hearts and souls for power, how can I become like this? What amI? Who am I?

Makoto : A heartless, creatures that are born from within the darkness and bred from people's hearts. That's what humans calls you and not an evil person. You maybe Tsubaki Nakatsukasa's brother, but you're just a heartless doppelganger like Ansem was.

Jacqueline O'Lantern : You were created and manipulated to think that you were going to become a thing called a Kishin, but you're not. That Kishin you said was nothing more to lie, lies hurts when it comes to overcome the truth. You got to accept it and let truth being vein.

Heartless Masamune : I'm heartless, not a Kishin? So all of this...all of this was for nothing! All those lies. All of these lies, I hurt people! (before killing himself with light) DAMN YOU, SHINRAAAA-!

*DBZ SFX : Energy Ball Impact+Collapse*

Heartless Masamune : (vanishes leaving a Heartless Emblem on the floor)

Jacqueline O'Lantern : (picks up the Heartless Emblem object ) So this is what brought the attenton of the heartless, Looks like this Darkside Death guy was behind all of this. Was Maka meddling with the heartless too?

Makoto : Could, Jacqueline. Heartless are created to fool the humans, witches, and including their selves! It's goddamn sick that Maka was being played by these creatures that were making a fool out of us! But they weren't foolish enough to destroy planets for a personal cover uup.

Jacqueline O'Lantern : I agree, that's why Kimial is always with me and I needer her for her protection. So I was wondering, Makoto. When it comes Heartless, how does anyone know that the influence of Shinra Kusakabe is making us spread the lies?

Makoto : I know how. You heartless of the darkness can't fool me now with your lies, Shinra Kusakabe. This time, Maka will be mine.

Makoto has... complicated feelings on Shadows, at least in the main verse.

At the end of the first semester, a Shadow stabbed her father through the chest right in front of her. Naturally, that event scarred her for life.

Now whenever she sees one, which in the main verse is rare, she will do one of two things. Either have a panic attack shaking in fear at the sight of the thing, or if she's wearing the symbiote, she'll go into an uncontrollable rage, lashing out at everything in a murderous rampage until every shadow in the area is dead... while also having a bit of a panic attack-

Though even without the suit, she's far from helpless in that state, she will fight back if she has to. But she'd much rather get away from it as soon as possible, as seeing them triggers her PTSD

This can be dealt with if she has friends nearby, people she knows and trusts, though with the suit on that's easier said than done. She will lash out at them at first, and it'll take a while to really calm her down.

This doesn't apply to human shadows, however. As in the shadow of an actual person. Only their more monstrous forms/shadows from the collective unconscious will trigger this. She still doesn't like human shadows, but she can tolerate them enough not to kill them. If they transform however, her teammates are going to have to hold her back.

As for which specific Shadow killed her father, I haven't decided yet, but I'm leaning towards Jack-o-lantern, since that's the name of an actual Spider-Man villain, who funnily enough has history with Venom (especially Agent Venom, who's a big inspiration for Sovereign).

Though if I did go with that, it'd be an augmented Jack-o-lantern, made stronger by Yaldabaoth when it was sent through to the real world, just so it can not only be closer to the villain, but also be an actual threat. (In game Jack-o-lanterns aren't exactly tough... and they don't have anything to stab with-)

So Sovereign is actually one of my favorite things about this AU. Partially due to the design I came up with, and because I actually got to flesh the idea out by working with a friend of mine on the concept.

A quick disclaimer though, I don't necessarily want or expect anyone to use these concepts or ideas, even if we're writing in my main verse. My threads with @/queenxfjustice showcase that pretty well. This whole AU was originally meant for a fanfic that I adapted into an RP account. I'm not trying to tell anyone how to write their character, this is mostly just for fun. That said if anyone wants to use this or any other concepts from my AU for a thread, I am open to the idea as long as you talk it over with me first.

Let's start with the basic premise. Sovereign is Makoto Niijima with a version of the Venom symbiote, while also taking major inspiration from Gwen Stacy (Both 616 and Earth 65). It's not exactly the same thing, but in terms of abilities it might as well be. It can do everything symbiotes can traditionally do. Increased Strength, Speed, and Agility, tendrils that can be used for attacking or swinging, mimicking clothing, etc.

What makes it special is the Persona aspect. These symbiotes act as another means of using Personas outside of the Metaverse, but not only that, can be used to manifest them in reality at no cost to stamina, even allowing the user to only summon parts of them to create more devastating attacks. Additionally, it can create/mimic various weapons for its user, as well as switch their elemental weakness to a different element. She later unlocks another form based on Anat, where she wears the Persona like a suit of armor.

There is a cost to this power however. These symbiotes are made of raw desire from the Metaverse (The same stuff that runs through those veins in Mementos if I remember correctly) mixed with the serum that gave... pretty much everyone else on the team their powers. And spending too long with raw desires, especially desires that aren't naturally yours, can really twist a person's mind. A passing thought can become an obsession, or a slight annoyance can become pure hatred.

They don't inherently have minds of their own, but will slowly create one based off the thoughts and actions of those bonded to them. And that, in turn, will dictate what the suit will push its wearer to do. It's literally a hell of their own making.

So, how does Makoto get this suit, and what does she do with it?

Well, first we need to briefly go over what happened prior to this.

Makoto was one of the founding members of the team in this timeline, helping Aaron and the others investigate the kidnappings perpetrated by the Shadows possessing people (More about that arc in this post here). The team fight the shadows atop Shido Tower, alongside her father Captain Niijima (haven't decided on a first name for him yet-). There Ann and Ryuji get exposed to the serum, released in a giant cloud on the roof, awakening to their powers. However, because the serum is deadly to those who haven't accepted their shadow, and because there's no real way to tell who has and hasn't, Makoto and her father wear gas masks and try to stop the serum from spreading any further.

They're successful, but the Captain is killed right in front of her, giving his life to save Aaron from a fatal blow.

Things... did not go well from there. Makoto was obviously distraught over thing, and to make matters worse, Aaron begins to distance himself from her, both to protect her and because he... kinda blames himself for her father's death.

To top it all off, Sae spends more and more time at work, convinced that Spider-Man killed their father, and will stop at nothing to catch him, dead or alive.

The others tried to help comfort her, but she wasn't very receptive to it. Just saying that she was fine, and pushing herself further to focus on her work. Both for the student council, her internship at ShidoCorp, and for the team... even if they all thought she needed a break.

And that's when Goro Akechi entered the scene. Proclaiming on live television that he would catch Spider-Man, and he'd do it through a partnership with the Shido Corporation. He'd be using a new "high tech" suit they'd designed to bring that menace to justice.

But it wasn't just tech. Even just looking at it on a screen, she could tell right away. It was too sleek, too... alien to be man made. And since she still had access to the labs through her internship, she decided to look into it.

She was right, of course. She discovered the company's symbiote program, and started poking around to see what she could dig up on these things, wanting to give the team every advantage she could.

But then... one of them escaped, lunging for her almost immediately. The next thing she knew, she was hanging upside down from a skyscraper.

At first she was freaked out, but the longer she wore it the more it started to... click. She didn't have to be on the sidelines anymore. She had power now, she could help people just like the others did!

But... she wasn't quite in her right mind. Between her father's death, her best friend and sister pushing her away, and all the pressure and manipulation she'd been put through most of her life... she was angry. Angry at the world. The world that put all that pressure on her, the world that kept her sister away from home, the world that took her father's life. Shadows were born of humans, after all.

And that anger was twisted into a violent rage by the suit. Anytime she'd come across some criminals, she'd leave them in progressively worse and worse states, pushing her limits just a little further each time, until she was leaving nearly all her opponents on the brink of death.

The world took everything from her, and she would make them suffer.

It wasn't long before she crossed paths with the team. She tried to explain herself, tried to justify her brutality, but they didn't understand. They couldn't understand. So they fought.

In reality, she was the one who threw the first punch, losing her temper after Aaron suggested she take the suit off. But in her mind, they'd betrayed her. And what's worse, tried to take the one thing that made her feel free.

It'd be the first of many fights between them.

That night after she got home, she and her sister got into a fight, a fight that escalated very quickly due to the state she was in. So she stormed off, running away from home. She didn't need her. She didn't need anyone.

She was a nomad, drifting from place to place, fight to fight. Rationing out what money she had on her to keep herself fed.

There'd be several clashes between her, the team, and even Akechi on occasion, all the while she'd decline further and further, slowly forgoing any sense of morals, any care for collateral damage, any strategy beyond getting back at anyone and everyone who'd ever hurt her, no matter how petty the grudge.

She started with Kaneshiro's clan, or what was left of it, hitting target after target, decimating everything in her path. Then she paid a visit to Principal Kobayakawa, taking great pleasure in making his fate as slow and painful as possible. He was hospitalized later that night, and he'd spend the next several months jumping at any shadow on the wall.

Then she visited her dad's old precinct in Shibuya, the place that was rife with corrupt cops, that made her father's job all the more difficult. The place that had robbed her of so much time with him.

She tore through the place in an afternoon. Nothing could stop her, nothing seemed to even hurt her... except for a simple taser.

But she saved the worst for last. Her sister. The one everyone compared her to, the one who put so much pressure on her, the one that'd abandoned her to pursue revenge. She stopped by the courthouse, tore down the wall to her office, and took her hostage before disappearing into the night.

She brought her to the aquarium, the place they'd used to visit every year with their dad before he died. She took off her mask and just started screaming at her. If she was going to do this, she wanted her to know exactly why.

She was going to kill her... but that's when her friends found her.

Still, there wasn't much they could do. Sure Ryuji's electric attacks were extremely painful, but they were holding back. She was still "their friend," after all.

Eventually, it all came down to her and Aaron. He'd abandoned her too, he deserved to suffer for that.

But after she said that... he stopped fighting. Instead he apologized for everything, saying that he deserved whatever she was going to do to him. But also that he still believed in her, that she could beat this thing. And that... that got to her.

In a brief moment of clarity, she was able to fight against the suit, and throw herself into the aquarium's power generator, finally freeing herself from its grasp.

She wouldn't wear it again for a while after that... but she would eventually wear it again, only with much more control than she had before... though she also kept a taser on her just in case.

She would attempt to make up with her sister soon after. But while Sae forgave her for what she did, as she wasn't really herself, she couldn't forgive the fact that she was working with the man who she believed had killed their father. Makoto tried to explain, but Sae wouldn't listen, and threw her out.

Makoto would live with Sojiro and Futaba for the next few months. She and Sae do eventually make up, but I'll save that for when I eventually explain how I adapted Sae's Palace.

So... there you go. That's Sovereign. Obviously, I left a LOT out, and even then it still took way too shocking long to get through it all. But I'm curious what you guys think of this whole arc. Is it interesting? Do you think I screwed something up? Honestly, I'll take all the feedback I can get.

So this was inspired by a post by maiqo on Twitter. You guys should definitely go check them out. And I saw that I got a request for threesome headcanons for these two so hopefully this will state you until I do them. Also it is a cliffhanger ending so if you guys want more let me know.

It was the middle of the day when you got some free time. Your job let you off early and before anyone could ask you to stay for something random you were out the door. You decided to go over to your girlfriends’ house. Surprise them and stuff since you haven't seen them in a while. Ahh the thought of seeing them and getting a kiss from them gave you energy to ride the train to where they lived.

Once you hit your stop you started heading down their way. Even skipping as you walked you were just too excited to see them. After a bit you made it immediately heading to the front door and opening the door as fast as you could get your keys out. You’re lucky you've reached the point where you’ve given each other keys to your places. Definitely helped in being able to surprise them.

Once you entered you looked around and saw that it was pretty empty besides the dirty dishes in the kitchen sink. Their cat, Makoto, ran up to you rubbing itself against your legs. You bend down to give her a scratch behind the ears. “Hello Makoto how’ve you been” she gave you a meow in response. A smile came to your face “do you know where the other two are? I’m pretty sure they’re here today” you asked

Makoto left your hand and started heading to a room, looking behind her to see if you were following. You immediately catched up to her and seeing as she was pawing at the door you assumed the two were in there. You gave her a quick thank you before politely shooing her away. You gave the slide door a soft knock before sliding it open.

Quietly stepping inside you looked around for them only to hear a soft whimper. That stopped you in your tracks. You stepped a bit closer as you figured out where it was coming from. A divider was in front of you, you assumed they were behind it as you kept hearing noises from behind it. Behind the divider Ei was leaning back into a sack of pillows, her eyes focused on a pink haired individual, face flushed a little red. Yae was in her lap, her shirt being pulled to the center of her chest, her boobs keeping it there. Her face was flushed, you’ve never seen Yae with such a red face before.

They were soft and squishy, her nipples soft, not yet hard. Her chest was raising heavily as you saw Ei run her hands over them, giving them soft squeezes. Oh how good it looks, keeping you captivated. You wanted one of those cherry blossom pink nipples in your mouth. Softly sucking before giving it a harsh tug hoping she would let a soft moan.

One of Yae's hands was on Ei’s, guiding her hand, making sure it stayed on her breast. Her other hand was playing with Ei’s hair which was in her usual braid. Her nails on her hands were sharp like a Fox and honestly you wouldn’t mind them making your back all red and sore. Gosh you wish you were Ei right now or even Yae. You licked your lips as you tried to get a better view.

In doing so the divider was pushed forward, making a shuffling sound. Oh fucking shit! You immediately hid behind it so the two wouldn’t see. You could feel their eyes on you and you didn’t know what to do. Lighting was cracking around the divider about to be obliterated by it. Almost but you heard a voice, Yae’s voice, “Come out my sweet, I can smell you” you took a big gulp.

Ei looked at Yae with a confused face, she only called you that so why was she calling this possible intruder your name. But her confusion left as she saw you walking out from behind the divider. Her face deepened with red as she realized you were watching them. And Yae didn’t tell her! She scoffs a bit but soon gives you a smile.

You were playing with your fingers as you avoided eye contact with them. You thought you were gonna be in trouble with them. A lot of things were going through your mind. Like how you thought they might break up with you or something. “Come here my sweet” Yae’s melodic voice came cutting through your thoughts. The crook of her finger telling you to come close. Which you did, getting down between her legs.

“You were watching us weren’t you?” She had a small smirk on her lips. Ei was watching you intensely, licking her lips as she watched for your response. You nodded, still not looking at them. “I-I was I’m sorry I should’v- “

The foxes finger came to you lips, shutting you up. “It’s alright my sweet I didn’t mind and I’m pretty sure Ei didn’t either. Right Ei?” The goddess gave a nod, a certain look in her eyes that you were not exactly familiar with.

“It’s quite alright dearest. I just wished you came out of hiding sooner.” She moved one of her hands to your cheek making you look at them. Her thumb stroking it “how bout you make it up to us by joining us Hmm?” Yae said as she brought her hand behind your neck, bringing you close. So close her breath was on your lips.

“I would like that as well,” Ei said, moving her head next to Yae’s. Both looking at you with lust and desire. Both wanting to kiss you… both wanting you. “So what’ll it be our sweet?”

When you met Byakuya, you absolutely hated his guts

You hated his spoiled rich boy attitude, his lack of sensitivity or sympathy towards his classmates

But most of all, the way he treated the whole situation like a game

It was as if he got some kind of sadistic pleasure out of watching people die, then gathering evidence and sharing it during a class trial

Which, essentially, is what it is

Especially considering how he desecrated Chihiro's corpse during Chapter Two

Even though you hated him, he didn't seem to mind you

You were the only one he seemed to tolerate.

Maybe he even liked you

He always paired up with you for investigations, which you begrudgingly agreed to

Though you were really the only one focusing on investigating

Sometimes you caught him staring at you

He still kept his stone-faced expression, but you could swear that you saw some sort of obsessive lust in his ice blue eyes

His pupils were smaller when he looked at you, and he had the slightest hint of a smirk on his face

You decided to just avoid him after that

He was honestly starting to freak you out

But that wouldn't do you any good in the long run

He knew you hated him

But that didn't matter

Byakuya will stop at nothing to make you his

And that all came down to the final trial

When he would finally reveal himself...

"And the mastermind is... Byakuya Togami!"

When Makoto called out his accusation, you almost wanted to laugh.

There was no way someone like him would be the mastermind.

He enjoyed the game too much to ever kill.

You would even say that he was harmless.

But that was thrown out the window when a twisted smirk grew on his face.

"Well, well. Smarter than I thought you were, Naegi."

Everyone turned to face him in shock. Even Kyoko was surprised, and Toko just stared at him in confusion.

"M-Master? W-W-What are you t-talking about?" Toko stuttered out. Byakuya shot her a glare.

"Silence, you invasive parasite. Only one individual has rights to that name."

He turned to look at you.

"And that would be (Name)."

Now all eyes were on you.

You froze.

"What?" Was all you could force out. He smirked at you. Toko was at a complete loss for words. She was always jealous that Byakuya always focused on you, even though you didn't even like him.

She even threatened you a few times, but backed off after Byakuya ordered her to stay away from you.

And she obliged with no complaints.

But she always continued to cling to Byakuya.

She can have him, you always thought.

Snapping back to reality, you shook your head.

"There's no way you can be the mastermind, Togami. You were having way too much fun with the killing game to actually kill anyone," you stated.

He let out a dark chuckle.

"But that was enough to prevent you from suspecting me, was it not?" He asked with a low tone of voice. The way he stared at you made your skin crawl with repulsion.

Asahina shook her head. "There's no way! How can you participate in the killing game and man Monokuma at the same time?" She questioned.

Byakuya huffed. "Simple. Monokuma is an artificial intelligence."

Gasps and looks of confusion filled the trial room as everyone stared at the blonde with confusion and horror.

Byakuya sighed. "Is it really so hard to understand? Monokuma is entirely automatic, there is no one controlling it. I had Fujisaki program the artificial intelligence before the killing game began. I admit, I'm quite proud of my little project," he finished with a sickening grin.

Toko started towards him, her eyes full of hurt. "Master... Why?"

Byakuya glared at her. "Ah, but it appears we haven't yet reached the end. What kind of killing game would it be if it didn't end with a grand finale? Starting with Fukawa."

Before Toko could speak, Byakuya pulled out a remote with a red button on it.

"I reserved this one specifically for you. Consider it a gift for our anniversary... of despair."

When Byakuya pressed the button, a chain gripped Toko's neck and pulled her to a dark chamber.

Toko ran to the door and frantically banged on it, but stopped when she saw a light.

She turned to see Byakuya, standing in the middle of the chamber with a spotlight shining on him.

With no hesitation, she immediately started running towards him.

You shook your head. Even after all this time, she just couldn't stop loving him.

But before she could reach him, a gigantic steamroller appeared between the two of them.

As the roller began heading towards her, Toko once again started towards the door.

But before she reached it, the steamroller had gotten to her first.

The force and speed of the roller completely crushed her body, and there was nothing left but blood.

(Fun fact, that's actually Toko's unused execution!)

All of you were frozen in horror as you were forced to watch. But you all quickly returned to reality when Byakuya let out a dark chuckle

"Oh, love hurts, doesn't it, dear Toko?" He mocked, letting out another chuckle.

Your terror was washed away by rage as you started towards him and struck him in the face with the back of your hand.

Byakuya stumbled backward, holding a hand to his swelling cheek as he stared at you with surprise and anger. Your classmates stared at you with shock.

"You monster! How could you do this to us?! Toko was the only one who ever loved you, and you get rid of her like this?!"

Byakuya's angry expression once again changed to a twisted smile.

"Oh. (Name), surely you understand by now? I don't care about my so-called classmates, or that filthy parasite, or anyone else for that matter..."

His eyes narrowed with lust as he said his next few words.

"All that matters is you."

You stare at him with wide eyes as he pulled another button out of his pocket.

"And now that my project has reached its ending, I think it's time to say goodbye."

Before he pressed the button, he turned to the others.

"Farewell, plebeians."

And he pressed the button.

You could only look away as your classmates were sent off to their respective executions.

Byakuya started towards you, grip your chin and tilting your head up to face him.

"Now that they're all out of the way, are you ready to become my little pet?" He asked with a smirk.

"No! I'll never love a monster like you!"

Byakuya tightly wrapped an arm around your waist and pulled you close to him.

"You don't think I know that? Nothing will stop me from making you mine. You belong to me now. I will break and toy with you until you are but a shell of your former shell.”

He leaned in close and whispered in your ear.

"Whether you want it or not, you will be my pet."
