you think pierre will be forgotten about next year?
This has been sitting in my inbox for a HOT minute, I think based on some tags I may have made a few weeks ago? And now that i'm done finals I'm finally answering it lol what a treat for me.
I think the thing about Pierre is that in the larger fandom, he's already served his big narrative purpose™. The whole narrative arc of getting beat down and shoved away by Red Bull, and pushing through that? Persevering despite everyone telling him "you're as good as done"? Becoming lost in all of the personal and professional tragedy of 2019 and then finding himself again? Becoming a fantastic teammate and someone trusted to lead and then finally finally breaking out of the mold that has shaped him for so long? He's had his little hero's journey already.
Even this year, I think so much of him got... maybe flattened out is not the right word. But I think there was something genuinely SO interesting about the way Pierre rubbed up against everything this past season that was TOTALLY missed under the media-pushed Yukierre and shit car of it all. IMO it was HARD to dig into the meat of it when so much of it was presented like, candy coated rotten apples lol. Especially if you aren't like... in it like the Pierries are. A lot of it got missed (like that 5-10 minutes before people realized what was actually happening in Japan was a perfect microcosm for this season w Pierre LOL but but let's not get into that). I also just think how Pierre was this year hit less of the broad strokes big dynamic and character interests of the fandom than he did in 2020/2021 maybe!
So I think the popularity of him as a character continues to go down at Alpine too, yeah. Because the new story is about chipping away at a new thing. It's not as sexy for him alone: people who don't care about Pierre's story and only care about the narrative will watch for it to blow up with Esteban and thats about it. So much of I think the actual compelling stuff for him happens behind the scenes now, in these next few months before the season starts. It'll be about someone who is so strict and used to routine and one structure and has pre-existing expectations for a lot of usually goes on around him being thrust into a completely new environment and having to figure out how to swim after so long. It's the "Red Bull is the longest relationship I've ever had", and now what? Have you really learned have you really grown etc etc? But so much of that we wont be able to see!!
He's never really been main character compelling to people, which I get. Cause I think his typecast is harder to get into or even figure than the Maxes Or Charleses or Daniels of it all for example. He's often a useful secondary character to a slash or a gen pairing but a hard primary!! God gives his hardest tests etc etc.
The question is really what is the next big arc? And I dont know if there is one thats super clear. Which is fine for me because unfortunately I like it better when less people talk about the people I like because they dont know the lore! or whatever lol you know what I mean. But anyways I think he's just filled his narrative purpose in wider fandom. I am ok with him being put back on the proverbial doll shelf for now though!

Trans Ballister Headcannon and intersectional queer theory thoughts about the movie Nimona
I absolutely ADORE the Nimona movie but as an Autigender, genderqueer, who is specifically somewhere encapsulating genderfluid and trans masc nonbinary lesbian, this movie made me sob.
I related to Nimona so SO MUCH. But due to my love of studying the intersectionallitys of queer struggles as my special interest, i saw a specific headcannon among fans that has my entire heart.
I dont wanna put down anyone elses, i love them all, but i wanted to take a moment to talk about the beautiful lense you could look at queer intersectionality with the Trans Man Ballistar Boldheart headcannon.
I want to be clear i do not mean this in a weird way at all!
I think theres a lot to discuss with how we could view there kingdom as being accepting of gay people (at least a bit more progressed past where we are where there may not be hate crimes or any problems but some people are still terrible homophobs far and few)
But through the eyes of our child Nimona we see that the society only accepts queer folks who are “the good ones” aka constantly repressing little parts of their true self to appease others. The accept gay people and say they are willing to try with binary trans people but the bigotry and outward threat of violence to anything different has kept people in the coset, hiding beautiful, normal, facets of queer joy to be seen as acceptable to the kingdom.
That's why i am so inspired by the headcannon of Ballistar, maybe not openly trans but fully living as himself accepted by doctors and the queen fully at a young age, striving for his best life, with a loving and understanding boyfriend who truly sees him.
Because its him realizing Nimona isnt the enemy, they are just a transgender/shapeshifter child. Much like he doesnt understand shapeshifters at first, he doesn't understand their gender, but you start to see him see Nimona for who she is and love her so much.  This headcannon also makes me think so much about the scene on the sword of Gloreth and the ones right before. After he hurt her Ballistar immediately regretted it. The look in his eyes and the way his hand went weak in shock when he realized he almost threatened her. He sees the fear on her face and it strikes me so much in the headcannon of them both being trans because he realized he was threatening a child, and a queer one like himself who clearly wanted to just be accepted and not hurt. I also want to talk for a moment about the ending with Ambrosius. I may need to make a part two because theres a lot to unpack with ambrosius being a cis gay man who is very supportive of the trans community and having a closeted trans partner. i feel like when the dust settles he would feel so horrible for how much he rejected Nimona in the first place.  GOD I WANNA WRITE A FANFIC ABOUT THEM WORKING TO HEAL THROUGH THIS SHIT

genuinely curious by what you mean by "jewish (factual)" in your tier list. i can assume for a couple what you mean (sophia as an example) but i dont see how the others could be like jewish-coded! interested in hearing your thoughts
link to the first post for claritys sake, but this is the tier in question:
Tumblr media
ok so for clarification: i made the tier list a little while ago and then scheduled it for later to keep uploads consistent, something i usually do all the time but am not for this discussion for now. this means that by the day the tier list posted, i was already a few weeks or so divorced from the actual creation of it, so some of my opinions have changed (as i said in the og post, i was unsure on a good portion of the characters even when i first queued the list), and some of my reasonings behind placements have been lost to time and my silly little goldfish memory.
bc of this, as of now as im trying to find a distinct line between "jewish (factual)" and "jewish (based on vibes)", the criteria for "factual" is sort of murky. some placements in the category were serious, but a lot of them were also entirely for joking reasons, and i had moved on as soon as i was done laughing to myself without coming back to it.
all this is to say, i have no idea how to summarise it, so im going to explain everything i can remember about my thought process at the time so you can see where i was coming from.
SOPHIA:
yup 👍.
ok so for the uninformed, sophia is the name of a gnostic figure and the specifics change depending on the context of which ur referring to her in, but in judaism specifically sophia was given as a translated name for chokmah which is like a being thats like really important in kabbalah and considered like. this sort of i guess personification of divine wisdom?
anyways this is a concept that i doubt im anywhere near the first person to bring up, so im not gonna spend a lot of time on it like i will the things i havent heard other people talk about. like the whole "good friend of humanity" thing! judaism puts a lot of emphasis on kindness and care for other people and i think its important that thats so big for her character and for how jewish she can be read as. she is also jewish because i like her :^).
TATSUYA:
suffers endlessly because g-d hates *him*, specifically, and he hates g-d right back. jewish.
that was a joke. ok so right out the gate i think the whole "fighting hitler" aspect of IS should count for something during the discussion of which characters are jewish. like just putting that out there. anyways tatsuya is jewish because of eternal punishment. specifically, you know how hes like super into "atonement" and repentance? bro would really have benefited from going to a high holidays service lemme tell you. and he does it in a specific way thats like. his atonement is actively trying to repair what hes fixed right like hes not doing what hes doing to be redeemed, hes doing it because its his responsibility to fix whats been broken. i just idk how to explain it properly but thats a thought process your rabbi talks you through in jew school yknow?
also theres this thing called tikkun olam, which literally translates as "repairing the world". so it means more like. doing ur best as a citizen to improve community and country, or general social work. but just considering it as taking the literal translation, then its just like... yep. that sure is what hes doing isnt it
also, killed hitler. hashtag work
KATSUYA:
placed here mostly because being tatsuyas brother, theyd probably be at a similar "level" of religiosity. however there are some unique things i want to point out here;
katsuya like embodies the idea of "tzedek tzedek tirdof" like. its unfortunate hes a cop but for a cop hes a pretty good person? hes pretty uncompromising on right and wrong, and in a way that totally lines up w tzedek tzedek tirdof as its described in the torah.
extra emphasis on his compassion, as in theres like that core facet of judaism, the tikkun olam, where people have a moral obligation to help others; not just do good as oneself, but also stop other people from doing bad. that last bit doesnt really matter, cuz im bringing it up so i can talk about katsuya as a police officer to clear his dads name and try and ensure a better future for his brother. he gave up his dreams for them.
i mean, when i say "giving up his dreams", im kinda laughing to myself bc theres no way he ran it past his parents bc if he looked his jewish mother in the eye and said "i want to be a pastry chef" he would not make it out of the room alive. hed go "my dream is to become a pâtissier" and his mom would immediately be like "no its not its to be an accountant" and that would be the end of the discussion
also, i think he would make some of the best fucking challah in the world. hed make matzo ball soup that could make you jizz your pants just looking at it. look me in the eyes and tell me that he doesnt actually go nuts at rosh hashana when he gets to make the round challah with the raisins in it and stuff or whatever else. there is such a crystal clear vision in my mind of him rocking this apron my dad used to have that says "real men make latkes". it was pink and ugly as sin and i think it would be katsuyas most prized possession.
LABRYS:
her name is fucking labrys obviously shes a jewish lesbian. next.
/j i will actually talk about this. like not mentioning the only survivor of her upbringing, which isnt a one to one considering the death match portion of her backstory but still close enough to feel um. relavant to jewish culture. she acts very...stereotypically jewish?
its not entirely the accent, but it is...part of it. so like i know its like a new jersey accent and that the stereotype is new york, i guess? but im not american and i dont rlly know the difference. they look close enough to each other on a map tho so i think it counts
but also shes like kinda confrontational in a way i specifically associate with jewish people or jewish characters? like not really bitchy but argumentative right, shes got this really sarcastic or mocking sense of humour. and girl kvetches with the best of them.
(also, side note: since i made the original list, i found out that the voice actress for aegis in p3 reload, dawn m bennett, is actually jewish! if i were to remake the tier list, aegis would be moved up from "vibes" to "factual" because of this. mentioning that here because of the sister thing :).)
JOKER:
kills g-d which is the jewish dream. this is a another joke.
someone in the replies of the tier list said something abt a possible reason being that he has an "abrahamic figure" as his ult. persona, which could be a good point if satanael was actually an abrahamic figure! but it is not. like ok im not a history guy but satanael is a name used in the 2nd book of enoch, which arguably could be part of jewish "canon" (i know this is actually the term for it but fandom has rotted my brain and it sounds terminally online to use it in terms of real life religiosity) but most rabbis agree it like is not, and theyre kind of who im listening to on this, and quick google search says even in christianity, enoch is debatable? idk
so like satanael isnt in the torah. and if anyone says "oh its just like another name for satan so technically--" shut up i know. satan isnt real in the torah either. ok like "satan" is used as a term, but not as like the specific dude that like rules hell. hes just like at most a specific dude who is not a devil/cast from heaven or whatever, but instead is a lawyer. more often its a concept, something representative of like the urge to go against g-ds will or a kosher life, this "evil inclination" which everyone is born possessing and grapples with when trying to be a good person. NOT THE SAME AS THE CHRISTIAN SATAN. WHICH IS WHAT P5 WAS GOING FOR. SATAN IN JUDAISM IS NOT A "super demon lord" or whatever they call it in the text of the game
satanael isnt an abrahamic figure and i dont think satan is either cuz its so different between religions and honestly i think calling things abrahamic religions, at least w the context i hear of it, is like kind of a misnomer or just kind of generally misleading cuz judaism christianity and islam are all so different and if were talking about this i think whoever invented the term judeochristian should eat a sheet of glass for it because whenever i hear those terms its very clear the person saying it means just christianity but theyre trying to be inclusive without actually putting the work in and thats not the point of this.
ok if im honest, as i think abt it joker isnt like. really... super jewish, in a way that you can point out? its just like... this overall vibe im having trouble explaining which is probably also like super influenced by how much i like him. i want to say that this strict sense of right and wrong that remains uninfluenced by the rest of society is something that clearly creates or maybe just intensifies this like. empathy for other people that reminds me of this concept in judaism which i cant remember the hebrew name of rn but i think its most commonly translated to english as "lovingkindness", one word? or that the whole idea of the phantom thieves can be contributed to tikkun olam. but, on the other hand, even if lovingkindness is what i personally consider one of jokers core character traits, the other one is pure, blinding rage.
im not going to go super into it, because im a few years rusty of torah study bc its only really consistently done in my community for kids preparing for bnai mitzvah cuz of how few people we have in our congregation. but from what i remember, my interpretation of the exact limit between righteous and sinful anger is a bit more... lax than the average jew's, or at least the average rabbi's, meaning mine, lol. either way anger is almost always seen as sinful because its an emotion that can like. turn you from g-d, its the same thing that invokes that "evil inclination" we just talked abt. so, joker textually feels this rage that arsene, his other self, literally refers to as "sacrilegious", something that very clearly states that he is willing to *knowingly* commit sins for this rage and is perfectly capable of causing undue harm to others for it, which is exactly the reason why judaism warns of anger. this means jokers anger is distinctly against jewish teachings.
again, im really lax, my familys reform (/lh) and i think there are some parts of this characterisation that make me feel this rage is overall constructive, especially considering that is what feeds his constant practice of lovingkindness and tikkun olam, but it being such a huge facet of his personality (made worse bc as a silent protagonist, you really have to search to get away from this trait) brings him down on the Jew Scale(tm).
in short, now that im really discussing this id probably move him to incredibly jewish based on vibes or even to just "jewish" no further classification. but even w the undying sinful anger thing i cant not think of him as jewish and i dont think its just bc hes one of my favourite characters of all time.
also that hair texture looking really familiar is all🤔🤔. all im saying that is in the tutorial, instead of "frizzy hair", morgana deffo should have been calling them blondie and jewfro /j /j /j
EDIT AND JOKERS KITCHEN!! JOKERS KITCHEN!! FOOD AS A LOVE LANGUAGE!! IN P5 YOU MAKE FOOD FOR YOUR FRIENDS AND YOU PUT LOVE INTO IT
MORGANA:
i know i put morgana before joker in the tier but i think in order to rlly discuss morgana we needed joker first bc part of my reason for putting them in the same tier is because they really are a pair, do not separate.
anyways, morgana does have a lot of the same problems as joker when it comes to being difficult to pin down. his inclination to tikkun olam is similar, sort of even greater than jokers depending on personal characterisation of joker, but instead of this discrepancy of his jewishness being anger, the ethical conundrum with morgana is sort of. arrogance? like, i have trouble figuring out how to really put into words how i feel abt morganas "lovingkindness", because it is so hard to understand where hes at in terms of empathy?? like. fucking. idk hes definitely a very caring person but its not exactly like
ok i cant figure out how to say it moving on. i used the word arrogance even though i dont really think thats right, because morgana has never seemed haughty. his "arrogance" is really just him making up for an inferiority complex caused by the amnesia thing, its not as if he genuinely totally believes himself to be above the others. but like no matter what it stems from, the way he behaves and his personal pride hurts people. ie the okumura arc, or his entire relationship w ryuuji. he speaks ill of others, belittles them to bring himself up, etc. arrogance and excess pride is as condemned as anger in judaism if not moreso, since its even less useful/constructive to be "arrogant" than it is to be angry. OH ok so what i meant with the hard to figure out his empathy thing is this actually!! hes very caring and has a really notable respect for human life but its always at war with his need to prove himself, so even if when you think about it its like Oh Morgana Is A Really Caring Person, which makes sense because he was created from human desire and as such is really in touch with what people need, the desperation he has to be seen as "worthy" comes off as wanting to be seen as "above", even if it means trying to get the people around him as being considered "below" him.
tldr so if it was just those two traits i think id have to move morgana lower on the list, alongside joker.
HOWEVER. speaking directly to the other jews in the crowd, but morgana is totally textually a golem, right? like not exactly, obviously, but think about it. morganas a being of the velvet room because he was created from "the dregs of human hope" (canonical line from yaldaboath that i think about more than what can be considered healthy tbh), whose job is was and always will be to protect and guide the trickster and his community, the phantom thieves. hes a golem right? am i insane? am i seeing things? i dont care, im not giving up on this interpretation, so morgana is factually and canonically jewish cuz of it.
ZEN:
i do not remember.
as of today id probably move him to either jewish no other classification or not jewish. my b guys. anyways
JUN:
life is indescribable torment, and then hes also got additional, mostly unrelated, mommy issues. judaism 101.
also his suspenders when he was a kid are the most young jewish lad shit in the history of ever like i have seen that exact outfit on a young boy every time i go to temple, and each time it is a different kid
ok more seriously, i really do think juns story-- specifically his relationship with memory-- can easily be extracted into a jewish narrative. like nyarlathotep messed with his memories and convinced him that the other members of the masked circle killed maya right. and so the way he fanatically reminded himself of the past was a mix of trauma and active manipulation. but if i think abt it a certain way i also can see it as like. ok so in judaism memory is really important and like a lot of the time during for example passover, youre meant to refer to yourself as being a jew in egypt, saying "we" instead of "them" and such. but im specifically meaning how important memory/remembrance is in grieving. jun in his grief for mayas perceived death "kept her alive" in a way. she was never forgotten, and so she never died. even though the entire masked circle forgot, from trauma or fear or guilt or whatever, jun held on, remembering her, and so she survived. joker took peoples dreams but his actions also caused them to be completely be forgotten. they were alive, but they were robbed of their ability to be remembered at all, and so they were as good as dead even still breathing and talking.
retroactively, this idea enforces tatsuyas jewishness, considering the entire story of eternal punishment. he refused to forget the masked circle, even though it hurts.
anyways back to jun, i also think the whole repentance thing is important too. he hurt people in his anger and sorrow and spends the rest of his life (until the world is reset at least lol) atoning for his wrongdoings.
also, i know i said kid him is super jewish looking, but he has not gotten better as hes grown up. 17y.o him is exactly the guy your bubbe will pull up on facebook and be like "this is the grandson of my friend or whoever! you should go on a date with him, hes your age! he looks a bit gay but hes a very successful doctor! ...and hes JEWISH YAKNOW...." and ur like "ok bubbe"
ERIKO:
i actually do not recall exactly why she is in this tier specifically. the only thing i for sure remember was that i at least partially placed her here bc of her fascination with the occult.
HIKARI:
ok this one was kinda me goofing. its the whole extended family thing like whats more jewish than being actively discouraged from a creative career for something "safe" and "normal?" bro the aunt might as well have dropped the "being a doctor is very respectable" line in the song.
but like even without that, wanting to be a director or associated with film? hitting her with the jew beam. mazel tov babygirl.

A/N: pls dont hate chishiya quite yet....... he and reader are both complicated and flawed characters!!!!! i dont feel rlly happy about this chapter but i guess its the buildup for the more interesting ones lol hope u like it!!!! likes and reblogs are always nice <3

You felt anxious. You had to return the book before the school day ended, and you had to face the consequences of it. Although it wasn’t entirely your fault, you surely would be punished. There was no case in insisting you did not tear the page, Chishiya wouldn’t take the blame ever, and even if he did, no one would believe that narrative, because he was the loved one, the best student and you were one step away from being a high school drop-out.
You still could not understand how basically everyone, teachers and students so appreciated him. Sometimes you imagined how everyone at this stupid school would circle around him and sing an ode to him as if he were a triumphant gladiator who had just returned from the war and had returned honour to his people. You guessed your classmates had previously decided in a secret meeting they would ignore any of his sarcastic remarks or just straight-up mean comments, and instead of hating him, they would kiss the ground he walks on. The truth was, this side of him, annoying without a break, was for you and only you. We can’t deny he wasn’t the most friendly man ever but the meanest thing he had ever done to others, apart from you, was ignore their invites to hang out after school. But you were not aware of this, of course.
However, your mind was busy enough to be thinking about Chishiya. You were tired and scared. The whole weekend you visited different bookstores with Kuina around the town to find the exact same copy of the book you had borrowed from the library, but it was a lost case, no one had it. “I think we should stop searching, we already visited all the libraries and bookstores around here! Twice!”, “Kuina, I’m going to die, I’m serious” you pouted. You were sulking the whole way home, you tried your best to not put an end to your quest, but Kuina was right, your legs were sore from all the walking and you felt as if you were about to pass out from the heat. Only you would walk through the whole city at the very start of summer, and only Kuina would help you in your crazy adventures.
The emotional torment did not stop there as you could not rest when you got home. You didn’t sleep all night, torturing yourself with your thinking. Most people perceived you as someone easy-going who never got stressed or anxious, but it wasn’t true, this messy self now crumbling in bed because of a concern most students would resolve without troubling themselves was your authentic version. But these crises occurred behind the scenes, you had to keep your carefree facet in front of others, it was the sole reason you kept good relationships with almost every one of your classmates, right?
Kuina and Arisu were the only ones who were able to see through that mask you perfectly crafted to be liked, that’s why they tried to support this time, knowing how much you got worried by matters of this nature, everyone else just caught the aftermath; you sleeping through most morning lessons. For them, it was just your usual lazy worst-ranked student behavior, disinterested in whatever the professor was teaching, but in fact, you were recovering those lost sleep hours. You didn’t even sleep all morning, you attempted to distract yourself by writing some poems, at first, it only distressed you more, tearing apart pages from your notebook and crumpling them into little paper balls. Nevertheless, you concluded a bunch of verses you were pleased by, so now was time for a nap.
You were twenty minutes into your nap, that was what Chishiya could estimate at the moment. He tried not paying attention to you, but he struggled. He did not care that much about you, or at least he insisted on that, but he was really intrigued by you. It was the first time you seemed to be concerned so noticeably about something in front of someone. He never fell for that free-spirited reckless role of yours, he saw you. He saw you when you were four years old, and then fourteen and now you were about to be eighteen, it was difficult for him  to not notice. Again, he never cared about you that much, but his sight got drawn by you sleeping surrounded by many paper balls.
As much effort as he put into ‘not caring’ about you, he took one of the plastic bags he kept into his backpack for trash-collecting purposes and started gathering the paper to throw it into the bag. ‘Who am I?’ ‘What am I doing?’ ‘Why am I doing this?’ were some of the questions which crossed his mind, he had two excuses, first of all, no one, not even you, the most annoying yet interesting person in the whole room, deserved to nap around litter and second, maybe he felt guilty and bad for you. There was one piece of paper which was not wrinkled, but he assumed you got way too stressed to even bothered by it.
He started ripping the paper in pieces and, since you were a light sleeper, that tiny noise woke you up. You glanced at him bewildered but also angry, especially angry. As one would expect, you guessed Chishiya did it on purpose, he probably had read your poem, laughed at you in his head and proceeded to tear it apart. “Why are you always ripping apart everything I care about? Do you hate me that much?” Chishiya got the urge to deny the statement with the head, but was paralyzed, he did not even stop to read it. He fucked up even more. You noticed how everyone turned to you, witnessing the dispute between you and Chishiya. No one would have bat an eye in any other occasion but it seemed more serious and less playful than most times. You left the classroom by the back door, feeling burdened by all the negative attention.

kakashi and ummmm spins wheel akane from r1/2
kakashi
Tumblr media
i dont really talk about kakashi and theres not really a reason for that beyond i dont super have anything intelligent to say about him but i do really love him ToT i dont think he works BETTER as part of a dynamic bc that implies i dont care for him much on his own but i think his character shines BEST as part of a dynamic... in pt 1 he was one of the characters who most most emphasized how young the team 7 kids were and it makes me SICK it makes me sick seeing how much he loves them, the way he talks to them and about them like theyre really children and he cares about them so much and has loved watching them grow up and helping them train, i looove how the chidori becomes one of sasuke's signatures after kakashi taught it to him and how excited naruto gets about getting to train with kakashi again and how kakashi was disappointed at the start of shippuden that naruto and sakura werent as easily amazed by him anymore and he had them try and steal the bells from him again as a little welcome back exercise .... and when he watched the three of them defeat kaguya together he was thinking how much he loved them .... BWAAAAAAAA
and and. i think his relationship with guy honestly balances his relationship with the kids rly well because we get to see him as a protective figure with them but with guy he's talking to someone whos his age and on his level and who he's known for like 2 decades, obviously not to say he never lets loose or relaxes or is irresponsible with the kids but the way he is with guy and the childish competitiveness of their rivalry (which he acts like he's annoyed by but this is obviously not true) is just idk. i like seeing that other facet of him. i think the race through konoha that ended w guy giving him a bouquet was an anime original scene but idc it was so cute and i think it was lee and neji who said smth about them finally being able to have fun and let off steam or w/e. augh. yeah.
ALSO esp in the anime i love how noticeably his tone of voice shifts when he's talking to someone ranked above him when he's usually so nonchalant and casual its something something about how he used to be part of the black ops. idk idk i rly love him and i love how he has pretty distinct facets of himself that come out depending on who he's interacting with it makes him feel very real. he's laid back but on edge and kind and blunt. ill be honest though i dont care about the stuff w obito and rin im sick of that dead girl and that man whos still obsessed with her!!!! but its ok because i love you kakashi.

SHES EVERYTHING .TO ME. as with all of r/2 i think her struggles with bisexuality (ambiguous) couldve been carried further and her martial arts abilities kind of fell off towards the end which SUCKSSSS AND MAKES ME SO MAAAAD but anyways. she gets a lot of hate for being a jerk BUT LIKE. YEAH? she's scared and angry all the time and doesn't know who she is and is afraid of who she is and everyone's telling her she's living wrong so she's forcing herself into a box where she doesn't fit because she's afraid of nonconformity and she takes that fear out on the person closest to her and the one person who might actually understand what she feels. because it is so scary to admit that you are not what you are supposed to be and intimacy and honesty are so much scarier than bullying someone who'll do it right back. she's been engaged at 16 years old and burdened with the expectation that she'll marry ranma and carry on the legacy of her father's beloved dojo, and now she's been thrown in to this situation where she is forced to confront her wayward sexuality head on and directly in front of her entire family.
will say though possibly unpopular opinion. i dont like transmasc akane reads .. i think shes cis. she has a tomboy thing going on (meaning characters (mostly ranma) make fun of her for being boyish and violent and she has an arc about cutting her hair and no longer growing it out as assurance of her own femininity even though she really prefers it short) but i dont think taking "this female character has some issues with not being seen as feminine enough because of her behavior/struggles with not tying her worth to how feminine she is" should be immediately taken as "this character is not a girl" because i think the potential for her gender nonconformity (esp in relation to her bisexuality) is just as valuable a theme, especially considering r/2 already has very potent transfem (ranma) and transmasc (ukyo) stories. idk "this character has some not traditionally feminine tendencies -> cannot be a girl" doesnt sit right with me. in any series other than r/2 it wouldn't bother me because people can take little tidbits of possible transgenderism as they'd like, but since the trans themes are already so potent in r/2 i tend to lean towards more realistic interpretations of the characters and i dont feel like "akane doesnt fit into traditional femininity and is therefore not [fully] a girl" is reaaally a win. expectations and gender roles are a huge theme in r/2 and i think its valuable seeing how they impact a cis girl as it is how they impact trans people in terms of determining what even MAKES someone a girl or a boy. is it what you wear? what you do? how you talk? these are genuine questions that r/2 asks and i feeeeel that transmasc reads of akane kind of respond to these questions in a really surface level way. this is the reason for the slash over the everyone else is wrong box. because not everybody thinks this and i know some reliable akaneheads (hi jordan)

crowley and trauma
wooooooo boy i relate to him too much anyways heres more good omens brain rot
so crowley. and his psychology and his innate need to do good and how its punished because he just wants to be sure that his plan and what he's carrying out is actually good but the system hes trying to serve doesn't have the space for his nature and so he falls and ultimately the thing that is most precious to him becomes his downfall so he gets all this reassurance that asking questions and being himself is evil bevause hes cast out and he spends the rest of his days trying to swallow his good nature because what he wants must be bad because he was so heavily punished for it when in actuality the problem is the system in which he was trying to work and THAT is what makes aziraphale choice to go back to heaven all the more painful. crowley knows the system is corrupt and he knows that the only way for him and aziraphale to be together without the punishment of their systems is to run away but aziraphale hasn't figured this out yet because he so badly wants this system to be good and he believes that the problem can be fixed and not what crowley believes which is that the institution itself if flawed and should be diamantled. SO for aziraphale to decide to go back to heaven, because Gd knows they dont TALK ABOUT ANYTHING, crowley gets reaffirmed in his thinking the he is broken and needs to be fixed (because thats exactly what metatron wants its the one thing that would make crowley leave aziraphale and he knows that crowly is the only thing tying aziraphale back to earth) INSTEAD OF WHAT AZIRAPHALE IS TRYING TO SAY which is "i believe you are good i see how much good you want to do here is your chance to do good unabashedly and unpunished" BUT BECAUSE THEY WONT FUCKING TALK TO ONE ANOTHER they end up punishing each other and its gutwrenching because we as the audience can see all these different facets of the characters but theyre so hell bent on protecting each other that they end up driving the other away.
crowly wants to do good. its why he has such strong reactions to being called on it (see crowly and aziraphale in the nunnary) because that "good" (in his view) nature is the most vile part of him. he hates that he's good and even more he hates being recognized for it. because he never got that recognition in heaven. no instead he was kicked out. he was told "this is what is wrong with you" and he internalized it so heavily. and he wants so fucking badly for aziraphale to see his point. but aziraphale sees him. he can see his goodness and that is the worst thing that could happen to crowley because he believes that his ultimate flaw is his goodness
and so, azraphales action in choosing heaven is his version of choosing crowley. because his and crowleys whole relationship is based on azraphale being saved. crowley always sweeping in behind him to help. and so by choosing to go back, to bring crowley with him, he believes this to be payback. this action will show crowley "i see you. i'm doing everything i can to give you what i know you want" because he can see crowley and see what he wants, what he yearns to be. and azraphale thinks that by being chief of heaven, by fixing things, he can finally repay crowley for everything.
azraphale thinks that choosing heaven is choosing crowley, saving him even crowley believe that the only way to truly have azraphale is to leave entirely and in turn, they destroy each other. their love is a direct foil to each others greatest weakness
azraphale and crowley both 100% believe they are correct and that is the most painful part. because they truly think they’re helping the other person. and for crowley truly the ultimate betrayal is to be known. because that is why he fell. he let his true nature get the best of him. inquisitive, kind, knowledge seeking. he loves those things. and the only time he dared to show it he was thrown from the most important thing to him. and so he learns that his nature is evil. that who he is, is an evil being. and that’s part of why he won’t talk to azraphale because he loves his goodness. he sees so much of himself in azraphale. he wants azraphale to have everything he couldn’t have. and so he keeps himself at arms length because Gd forbid he corrupts him. Gd only knows he’d rather die than have azraphale fall to be with him. but he also hates the institution of heaven. and he thinks that maybe. maybe azraphale could love him enough to leave for him. he lets himself be vulnerable (as seen by the glasses taken off) and puts it all out there and azraphale just. he can’t see it. he thinks that what he is doing IS the good thing. he wants so badly to fix it because he wants so badly for crowley to be able to be himself. because azraphale loves who crowley is. his good nature, his love of kids, his kindness. all these parts that crowley hates. and it’s because he loves him that he chooses heaven, and he chooses heaven because he want to love crowley the way he deserves. to be himself. but crowley, he hates himself. and he can’t fathom that someone would do something with him in mind. because he’s awful, he’s disgusting, he’s a demon. but to azraphale, he’s just crowley.
and that’s the worst thing he could ever be
you could go as far as to say that the only thing crowley hates about azraphale is the fact that azraphale loves him. because azraphale clearly does. he clearly wants crowley. and he thinks he’s giving him everything. and in a way, he is. he is giving crowley what he wants. a chance to go back, to be good, to do good with no barriers. and as much as crowley wants it, he will not let himself have it. no he can’t have it because having it is what destroyed him. and i’d argue that part of why crowley left, isn’t just because azraphale chose heaven. it’s because the moment that azraphale chose heaven, picked the option that put crowley needs above his own, he realized that azraphale loved him. he saw how truly the angel saw him and his nature. and that. well that’s the most terrifying thing imaginable.
because that nature destroyed him
and he’ll be damned again before he lets azraphale fall

I love that u brought up bugs. I adore Hermes because I'm studying entomology and I cannot tell you the number of times I've had to listen to someone talk about how they hate bugs or how "it's fine! They don't really feel pain" or hoping for the extinction of certain bugs... I just loved Hermes' innate love of everything in nature, regardless of if it had a use or purpose - to people, or in its ecosystem- or not. It's how I feel about my bugs. I don't care if they're hated by most or don't seem to contribute anything important (I hate that concept btw, not everything is supposed to be exist for the purposes of humans! I'm not advocating for like, letting houses be filled with pest insects, but yk), they exist on Earth and should be respected. Sorry this is out of the blue probably but yeah I completely agree with ur comments about him.
NO YOU GET IT THOUGH. i do enjoy that hermes is related to birds because i can go on about how much people disrespect birds in all sorts of ways including in the pet bird world, the birdwatching world, and in the literal sense of birds in the wild and humans relationships with them but bugs work so well for hermes because they are a perfectly irl example of exactly what he means. how ready and easily its acceptable for people to just live ignorant to the way of bugs and their role in life, and even if they are without a role deemed as ''useful'' by us they are still an existence upon this earth that eats and breathes and lives and dies. how easily we come to kill harmless spiders taking up residence in our house when theyve done nothing at all, how quick people are to be disgusted by maggots and cockroaches and flies and mosquitos and the likes.
and im like, always so mad that even people who LIKE hermes entirely refuses to acknowledge this facet of his character. like (AS AN AUTISTIC PERSON AS WELL) i think people entirely jumping over the main part of hermes' character (his love and affection for all animals including the ones deemed worthless/scary/stupid/''not alive'') and to go directly to that one piece of dialogue about him ''struggling to socializae'' and being like omg autism dad hermes!!! makes my teeth clench. because i think this also falls into the hole of making meteion seem human just because she looks the part; people humanize meteion, and therefore are able to seperate her from the other concepts hermes cares about just as much, to detach from the fact that meteion is ''an animal'' (concept = animal here) and not a little girl, and that hermes LOVES HER and RESPECTS HER not ''in spite of who she is'' but for what she is !!! meteion is not his daughter in the sense of a human child to a human father, she is his daughter in the sense of how i call my pet budgerigars my daughter; they are animals who rely on me and whos health and happiness is reliant on my care for them, and in return i get to see their vibrant personalities and relationship with my blossom, and that is not any lesser than any other daughter / father relationship one can have with anything else
but people dont WANT that! they dont want to accept that hermes is ''that animal guy'' who would probably think spiders make art and that bees can feel love (they can!!), they wanna ignore that hes the ''weird animal guy'' and attempt to find some other thing about him that they can relate to, so they ignore a huge part of his lore and skip straight to ''he struggles to socialize just like me! hes a cute sociallyt awkward malewife/dad!" because a lot of peoples media intake involves the needing to feel like they can project onto that character or that they are the same, and they wanna ignore that hermes is challenging their own biases and ideas on these animals. AND IT REALLY SHOWS when staunch ''anti hermes'' people start talking about him too, you can hear how they see meteion as not even an animal but a ''thing'', a worthless ''thing'' that is lesser than the amaurotines. and like idgaf if people hc hermes as autistic or relate to his depression, what agitates me is people skipping over the meat of his character and dumbing him down to ''quiet bird dad to cute bird girl'' and not ''deeply depressed man who is tortured seeing how his fellow amaurotines treat these animals that he respects and cares for, and how this also applies to how they treat him and his emotions'' (EMET SELCH AND HYTHLODAEUS), all because THEY cant empathise with his love for the ''lesser'' creatures, the bugs and insects theyll gladly kill or stomp out purely for existing close to them. and ough that tales of avdenture about hermes and meteion and how he feels tortured himself using the meteias as a tool for his own research and how conflicted he is about it and how that can relate to the confliction of wanting to give captive birds/mill birds loving homes while knowing youre engaging in the system that still allows them to be sold to unknowing little kids and milled out like nuts
anyway that was a lot sorry anon. i just have a lot of emotions about hermes and bugs really help me example that but i hope what im saying is gotten across. feel this shouldnt be surprising considering my azem is heabily insect-based and her transformation is basically a huge wet maggot with fly wings and erdicating hairs and all the characteristics seen as ''ugly'' in bugs. and i like thinking about her and hermes bondind together over the bug thing

oh my god i just realized an unintentional aspect of dojima's character??
dojima is traumatized by his wife being killed and that is the source of his shortcomings with nanako. part of that is his negligence of her by leaving her home alone for almost full days and nights. this is really shit and it's easy to think of this being because dojima doesn't care about her or hates nanako but what if its not? I think one way of interpreting it is he's scared for her safety.
dojima is a cop. even when murders arent everywhere he is still tasked with protecting the safety of everyone he knows, including and especially his daughter and wife. then, in dojima's eyes, he fails on that number one duty. his wife gets killed and he blames himself for her death even though there wasn't any way for him to prevent that.
then he falls into a depression. he says he was never really close with nanako so in his eyes they aren't bonded and he feels like a failure and everyday nanako looks more and more like his dead wife so it's too much to even look at her so he doesnt. he stays away from home, pours himself over with work and booze to distract from the gnawing pain of guilt. but you know a bonus for never doing anything with her daughter? she's safe.
theres no risk of nanako getting hurt if shes home all day. they dont even go to the park. its a miracle he allows her to walk home and to the grocery store alone and i bet its only because theres no way avoiding it since hes never home when shes home so he cant do it.
when they talk about golden week, nanako wants to go to junes. dojima thinks this is funny and curious but when he tentatively suggests to go somewhere a little further and nanako gets really excited he almost backtracks, bringing up theres a lot of people, it'll be crowded. he says it "might be okay to go on a trip once in a while" and he sounds nervous. we know nanako is shy but she wasnt concerned about being around crowds or strangers but dojima sounded scared on her behalf until he saw she was so happy that he gave in, endeared.
his nervousness reads as slight fear to me. nanako's shyness isnt brought up much but dojimas guilty and worry is so while its defintely the case of his guilt causing negligence i think its interetesting of how even another facet of it actually nurses his guilt because he can justify it to himself that its for nanakos good because she (thinks shes) happy, shes taken care of (bed, clothes food), and shes in no risk of danger. by not doing whats right for nanako dojima is able to convinece himself he is because it soothes him. no matter what, until dojima gets better later all of what he does is concerned with himself and thats why he changes and feels almost like an entirely different person when nanako genuinely becomes his number one priority later in game and its such a good transformation to see

I think Loki is a very personalized deity who shows different facets of his personality to different people based on their personalities & needs, so relying entirely on UPGs and not headcanons might not work.
so im gonna go on a ramble here because i believe that in polytheism all gods are by their essence personalized, thats why its impossible to have an older god thats 100% depicted and recorded the same in every place theyre worshipped
i think upg is stupid because it assesses that all textual evidence is some sort of orthodoxy where everything outside of written down and surviving perimeters experienced by followers is either "unverified personal gnosticism" or invalid headcanoning, when in reality (especially in the case of asatro where the eddas are recorded far after christianisation and icelandic culture exclusive) the "verified" gnosticism is just a single small snapshot into what the gods are like and cant span the experience of those illiterate and/or those that didnt have access to storytellers to keep their experiences recorded
i started out being very conservative on this blog about what is and isnt asatro and i still dont enjoy non-scandinavian condescending at me about a faith i was taught about before anything american, i still hate marvel with a passion not yet observed to be rivalled
BUT
im cool sexy and radical now, hel is my blorbo, fuck oden i dont trust him, tor can eat shit if he doesnt come clear this humidity soon, the only thing you need to be religious is faith and Vibes and vibes notably is headcanons

Your post about Adrian being smart resonated with me on a personal level. I hate so much that his weaknesses on the wiki are listed as "low intelligence" and "psychopathy" like ugh no. He IS smart and competent and he shows this so many times throughout the show as you laid out. He's doesn't get social cues and he says dorky dumb things but that doesn't make him literally stupid. He's also not a psychopath/sociopath, he absolutely has emotions. He just doesn't understand them super well.
HARD AGREE ANON
i will literally die on the "adrian chase is smart" hill. and despite not being able to pick up social cues and stuff, he's still emotionally intelligent. he asks questions when he doesnt understand, he's honest about his feelings (he was beating around the bush in ep. 4 when he was mad at chris, but bc he admires chris so much and being angry at him it just. weird even though he was 100 % in the right,) and he's pretty intuitive on what he should be doing out in the field. he literally came outta nowhere in the finale and saved chris from that one butterfly with the whole "dont fuck with my bff" thing. he's observant, and curious. just a little goofy.
and YEAH he's def not a psychopath. he doesn't have a compulsion to kill. he does it because he thinks it's the right thing to do. with adrian things are kind of black and white. you're racist? okay die. you committed a crime? okay die. you're my best friend who murders bad guys? okay you're a good guy except maybe not because your father is a racist and you enable him. chris is probably the only gray area in adrian's life.
but the biggest thing is that he isn't compelled to kill. sure, he's not necessarily bothered when he kills the wrong person, but the man grew up in the same culture that chris did. and chris was literally pit fighting at like ten years old. so im sure adrian has steeled himself from feeling guilty about the people he kills, and i bet that also has to to do with his backstory. his family is dead, and i kinda think they were killed by criminals, so why feel guilty when his entire goal is to protect the world from criminals. even petty ones. if he kills the wrong person, it was still in pursuit of justice and to him, yeah it sucks but it can't get in the way.
personally im not loving that facet of his character but oh well.
anyway YEAH adrian is SMART and he DOES have emotions.

ahhhh ty ty ty <3
ok, so I think that what makes Dream act this way (iykyk) is how dreamwastaken became so big so quickly. and by quick I mean fucking lightning speed.
he didn't have enough time to learn enough about cc etiquette, especially in these three aspects: influence, boundaries and fanbase/stans/whatever you call it. I'll try to explain it:
• Influence: Does he know the influence he has? Like, when he hears that he is the myct with the largest fanbase, does he really process that? I remember he talked about not being able to control all of his fanbase and there's bad apples everywhere -- which is true, and that only like 1% of his fanbase breaks his boundaries (that include sending hate for him, harassing, doxing, etc. yk, basic twitter culture lol) but, honey, with your big ass fanbase, 1% is still a lot of people. As a content creator you *have* to be aware of that.
let's take the hbomb situation. First off, as a streamer, it's you that set the mood of the stream. Even if he was only messing around with his pals, even if they did say to do not send hate to hbomb, dt dunking on him created a toxic environment, which caused his fans being toxic towards hbomb and you know what happens next. Hell, when this happened, I was watching Tapl and he was watching them and he was crying laughing over them screaming bc they were just. so loud and so aggressive that it was kinda ??? Sirs, this is literally a Minecraft Stream lmaooo
my point is, that was not the road that dreamwastaken, 21M fans, should've taken. he don't condone his fans actions but he knows his fans are diehard and will always be on his side, he should be more careful before stating negative opinions, especially if its towards another person.
• Boundaries and Fanbase: He posted a list of his boundaries a while ago, idk if you know or seen it (btw please george copy your bestie for the love of god <3) but I'm not talking about those boundaries, I'm talking about the basic boundaries between cc and viewer. boundaries that, in my opinion, should exist between cc and viewer. I get that Dream is an open person, an oversharing type of open person if I may add, but I think he should take a step back regardless. When I heard that he was taking a time from twitter, I genuinely got so glad, not because he couldn't start any drama then, but because it would do so so good for his mental health. I'm not even that fond of him, it's just that for me, any cc taking a break or outright leaving twitter is a win for me. I know how RSD is hard to deal and honestly letting shit out it's better but dream you have dt you have bbh so please don't make things worse online 😭 I know how good can be to feel validation from millions of people but. it's not a good idea, especially in the state that his fanbase is on rn (this topic is kinda sensitive to talk abt for me bc people be outright ableist and hide it as criticism like. say that shit's not helping his reputation and whatever without acting like he's fucking. manipulating his fanbase for being affected by his rsd💀 or, on the other hand, don't say that hes just being adhd🤪 when he's just being an asshole like damn that's a Him thing bro lol)
(omg it's so big I'm so sorry and theres a part two I'm so sorry tumblr user messed-up-gal ToT) - morango 1/2
pt. 2:
Dream is the proof that the people who loves you can be your downfall. istg. Have you noticed that every drama that Dream enters, people usually get more mad abt how his fanbase reacts (85% they'll react in a bad way) than Dream himself? it's not always, but its definitely more likely. I'm not saying Dream is saint, he Is petty and his ego does him dirty and made him choke multiple times before,, But! i dont think hes a bad guy. he's literally just a dude. ok, he's a 21yr old white gamer man that has a trumpie past (maybe?? idk. I think hes cured now ig lol) so he's bound to do some shitty things but he still tries to get better and hopefully he'll mature. 21 is old enough but it's still so young, yk? I kind of lost my mind during the end and my eyes are literally begging to be closed so tl;dr: Its gonna be hard for him to become a better cc bc his fans don't let him be criticized (by infantilizing his adhd symptoms or the mob mentality as soon as someone says anything abt him), the honest criticism get lost between lies from antis that don't know shit, he still has a lot of growing up to do and overall he became famous too fast and he needs to learn things even faster bc as soon as there's not a single one dream hater on sight they'll turn their back and attack him instead lmao I hate twitter i definitely have more to say but I'm tired and my memory is shit. just-- hate dream if you want, love dream if you want, nobody is obligated to have an opinion but I wanted to express mine. have a lovely day! -morango 2/2
Aight, there's a lot to unpack here, so Imma try to only go into the points I have something to add to (here's what I talk about in each paragraph, if you want to jump to a specific point):
Speed of Dream's rise to fame
The "bad apples" in the Dream fanbase
Post-MCC HBomb stream
Not condoning versus actually condemning his fans
Manipulation & RSD
Criticism of Dream, his fanbase, and his brand
The “just a dude” argument, flipped
First, I agree that one of the many factors that has resulted in the current image Dream has set up for himself, the way his fanbase functions, the ways people hate on him, and the way the Dream brand functions, is the speed of his rise to fame. It's unique, and there are probably a hundred social/psychological angles that could be used to examine the exact effects of that speed upon all of these facets of the Dream Name; did rapid fame beget the rapid rise of unrighteous hatred, did those waves of hatred then instigate the rise of a surprisingly overdefensive fanbase, did that rapid fame get to his head and/or result in an inability to appropriately handle all the after-effects of rapid fame, etc.? That point you bring up, about how the speed of his rise to fame requires him to learn even more quickly, is so interesting to me. I think that maybe Dream expected to get pretty famous pretty quickly, hence the preparedness in regards to some mechanics of influencer fame- merchandise, business-building, networking, knowing how to manage his fanbase to best benefit him. But I don't think he expected to get this famous this quickly. This is all speculation of course, as are this entire post and your ask, but I think that he just couldn't anticipate having to learn how to handle enmasse controversy, waves of antis, or every Youtuber speculating/knowing about him; and yeah, that results in him having to learn all of these things very quickly, lest he allow his whole brand and fandom to fall apart.
Second, I disagree with the frequent argument that Dream's fanbase is only marginally toxic. Personally, I think that the circumstances of Dream's fame, his personality and management of his fanbase, and his brand of content have resulted in the very specific kind of stan that Dream stans are. I don't think this is simply a case of "all fandoms have a small percentage of assholes who take it too far;" rather, the nature of the community itself breeds the kind of mentality of "an asshole who takes it too far." I only even know this because I was a Dream fan (kinda a stan, I'm ngl). At one time, I watched every single Dreamwastaken & Dream Team video multiple times; I listened to the Manhunts on repeat, as though they were podcasts; I followed mostly smiletwt and dttwt accounts on mcyttwt; I had upwards of 10 tabs for AO3 DNF fics open on my phone at a time; I watched DNF and Dream Team Being A Family-esque compilations on repeat; I watched every George and Sapnap alt stream I possibly could; I went out of my way to defend Dream against Redditors and Twitter antis regarding the cheating scandal. For the latter half of 2020, and a couple months of 2021, I lived and breathed this part of the fandom; so when I say that Dream stans are a whole other breed than any other kind of mcyttwt stan, I say that because I used to be like that, too. I usually use parasocial very loosely or ironically, but Dream stans are genuinely one of the most parasocial fanbases I have ever seen or been a part of. The level of investment Dream stans have in this man's life, the lengths they will go to to defend him, the amount of psychonalysis and digging they do on his life and character, the amount of emotion he can evoke in them- it's taken to another level, man. This isn't just characteristic of a fraction of his fanbase; this is what the fanbase is like as a whole.
Third, I partially disagree with your take on the HBomb thing, but not in the way one might think? I actually empathize with the way they reacted much more than I thought I would, simply because I suspect I have RSD (also suspect I have ADHD, have for several months now) and I can see myself getting insanely frustrated because of something like that. Like yeah, it was "just a MC stream" or "just an MC game," but that's kinda disregarding the fact that something that might seem like "just a [insert inconsequential thing]" to a rational mind might have a major emotional consequence/take a major emotional toll on someone with RSD, or really anyone who gets easily impatient/angry about video games (Sapnap reminds me of many of my friends, in that way). The issues I, personally, had with the way they handled the HBomb situation is that these are simply explanations and reasons for my empathy; they are not excuses. I have no excuse when I get irrationally angry about something inconsequential in my own life, for a couple of reasons. One, because I am an adult and I need to learn how to handle my reactions and manage my own anger. Two, because as someone with many mental problems, it is my responsibility to learn coping mechanisms to ensure my own emotional stability and livelihood; this includes learning whatever I need to handle RSD- whether that be isolating myself from others when I know I will become violently/passionately angry about something, creating and sustaining a support system that can get me through bouts of extreme emotion, finding healthy emotional outlets for my negative emotions that won't harm myself or others, or a combination thereof. I don't think what they said about HBomb post-MCC was an irreversibly horrible thing, or anything. I think there were errors committed by two men who should be fully capable of foreseeing and preventing those errors, but I don't unconditionally hate Dream or Sapnap for the post-MCC stream or comments. I just wish they had made amends quickly, publicly, and sufficiently, because the greatest consequences from the whole thing weren't even from those two criticizing HBomb themselves; they were from the waves of backlash because of their immense influence on the MCYT fandom, which could've been prevented, if they had acted maturedly and responsibly after the stream.
Fourth, you’re right, that he doesn’t seem to condone his fans’ behavior. I detest the frequent anti argument that one of the reasons Dream should be criticized is because he explicitly uses his fanbase to attack others, or something of the sort. Personally, I think he created his fanbase in a very specific way and interacts with them in such a way so as to benefit him as much as possible, yes, but he never actually tells his fanbase to go and yell at or harrass anyone. Still, there is a significant difference between not condoning something and condemning something. It might seem unfair, and it might be annoying of me to say this, but I truly think that someone with this large a fanbase, especially one as overzealous as Dream’s, needs to be condemned every single time it goes on some kind of rampage/harrassment campaign. Either that, or Dream needs to make a definitive, permanent statement against any kind of harrassment of others on his behalf. I know he’ll occassionally make the odd tweet or serious stream addressing something his fanbase did, but one of the many reasons his fanbase keeps doing the same damn thing is because he’s so lukewarm and spotty about this condemnation. A fanbase like his needs to be given explicit guidance and boundaries for the numerous things they do in his defense- harrassing/doxing antis, harrassing people who criticize him who aren’t antis (respectful criticism, other CCs, other MCYT stans, etc.), harrassing the people he critcizes (i.e., HBomb), speculating about his personal life (his relationship with his gf, his mental health/ADHD, his romantic life, his childhood, etc.), and speculating about his relationships with his friends and colleagues.  My personal ideology is that, if you have significant influence over someone or a group of people, you are at least somewhat responsible for the things those people do or don’t do, if it at all relates back to you. I’m so fucking tired of the argument that CCs aren’t responsible for what their fans do. Obviously they aren’t responsible for every single one of their fans, and obviously they can’t fully control their fans at the end of the day. But I think there are certain things that reach such a level of extremity that does make those CCs responsible. This can be measured by either scale or intensity; that is to say, if a CC’s fanbase does things on an extremely large scale, or one person from/a fraction of the fanbase does something really extreme, then the CC is made all the more responsible. Another CC I’ve always had trouble discussing with other people on this subject is Pewdiepie, in particular, about the extremists in his fanbase. Because the things a small handful of his fans have done in reference to him and/or in his name were so fucking extreme, I thought Pewdiepie had to take at least some responsibilty. Along a similar vein, because the things Dream’s general fanbase does are so widespread and on such a massive scale, Dream has to take at least some responsibility.
Fifth, okay. Hmmm. I want to tackle this point you made about the ableism he faces in some criticism of him carefully and with empathy, but not coddling. One, I do think a lot of the criticism he receives for the ways he handles criticism (post-cheating Tweets, reactions to John Swan, post-MCC HBomb stream, etc.), disregard his RSD and can be oftentimes ableist. I’ve actually encountered people irl who criticize this aspect of Dream’s character, and have had to explain to them their disregard for how ADHD/RSD affect neurodivergent people’s reactions to criticism. But - and this is a big, and very controversial but - I think mentally ill/disordered people can 100% leverage their mental illness/disorders for the sake of manipulation. This is actually something I’ve learned from a psychiatrist, regarding the ways people I know and I handle our anxiety and depression. This manipulation can be unwitting or intentional, but it is entirely possible, and the possibility shouldn’t be entirely dismissed as ableist. Living with a mental illness or disorder that others know about/that you are very public about puts you in an interesting position to receive frequent sympathy, empathy, and/or pity. I’m not saying that empathy for Dream having ADHD/RSD is entirely unjustified; on the contrary, I have frequently expressed how I can relate to his ADHD symptoms and have defended him for expressing those symptoms, both on mcytblr and in real life. I am saying that Dream fans tend to use his ADHD as a kind of shield for a lot of criticism levied against him, including the supposition that he could be manipulating his fanbase to defend him because of his public expressions of RSD. So yes, my theory is that Dream knows how to levy every aspect of his life for his personal gain and for the growth of his brand, and that includes his ADHD. I think he has courage for his openess about his ADHD, I think his openness has contributed to the rise in awareness of mental health and empathy for neurodivergent people within Gen Z, and I think at least some of his expressions of RSD publicly/online weren’t intentionally made public. All that being said, I also think he has to know just how much his fanbase cares about defending him for his ADHD, and I think he has to know that some of the things he does related to his neurodivergence endear him to his audience, in a coddling, baby-ing, mildly ableist sorta way.  Maybe this is all incredibly presumptuous of me. Of course, I can never know the real intentions behind any Dream video, Tweet, or stream. Maybe I’m just projecting, because I can see myself doing just this, if I had the maturity I had circa 2018-2019. Idfk know, man.
Sixth, I actually agree with you here, people probably do get more mad at his fanbase than him. Dream puts out content pretty seldomly, considering the frequency of content output for other Youtubers/streamers in his field/at his brand size. And yet, he has received masses of criticism. Considering that the things Dream himself does/says do not entirely correlate with the amount of criticism he receives, I think it’s a logical assumption that a lot of that criticism actually goes back to the size of his presence online, rather than the man himself. That is to say, because of the massive community he’s amassed, the exponential growth of his fanbase, their presence on every single social media site and in virtually every single Internet space/fandom, and the size of his metaphysical presence in his fields, Dream is much bigger than the man himself, so the criticism he receives will, at least in part, be a direct or indirect result of all these other aspects of the Dream brand.  Something I don’t think many Dream fans/stans, or even most MCYT fans in general, understand, is that Dream isn’t just “one guy” in the eyes of the Internet- at least, not anymore. He hasn’t been for nearly a year. Like Pewdiepie, Mr. Beast, and other CCs who have amassed similar levels of fame and wealth via Internet content creation, Dream is a brand now, and most people will treat him as such. He isn’t just some uwu soft boy playing Minecraft anymore. He is on a whole other level from any other MCYT in his friend circle or colleague interaction bubble. His words will never again live in a vaccum or private bubble, his friend circle will never again be under anything less than intense scrutiny, his past actions will never again be simple mistakes or silly errors, his words will never again be casual tweets or streams for laughs among a couple thousand followers. Dream’s name represents something much bigger than just the one man. As such, all aspects of his brand, including his fanbase, will tie back to him and, ultimately, to any general criticism of him.
I’m not saying I like any of this, and I actually think the evolution of influencers from people to a marketable brand with similar mechanisms, responsibilities, and liabilities as a corporation is some kind of late capitalism nightmare fuel; I’m just stating my own observations and theories as to why so much anti-Dream criticism seems to be directed at his fanbase, rather than him.
Seventh, he’s just a guy, you’re right, but I think a lot of the antis on Tumblr understand this more than you know. As I’ve seen it, the sentiment among much of the “DSMP stans DNI” crowd seems to be that of “Dream/other MCYTs are such ‘bad’ people, so why do their fans stick to these mediocre, racist men, when there are so many better people to watch/better content to consume?” We know this argument is flawed for many of the obvious reasons - the conflation of all MCYTs’ actions regardless of individual identity, the equating of a CC’s fanbase’s morality to that of the CC they enjoy watching, the exxageration of any error MCYT CCs have committed as bigotry/racism, the fundamental misunderstanding and misinformation that led antis to believe this exxageration of the facts, etc. But I want to focus on the general, underlying sentiment of, “why not watch someone better, when your creator is problematic?” Sometimes, I ask this of Dream stans. Yes, being mildly ignorant, getting involved in the scandals Dream has, and being a right-leaning/libertarian centrist in the recent past all seem like harmless things, all things considered. One could say Dream isn’t nearly as bad as many antis who are misinformed seem to believe, and that there are much worse CCs Dream stans could be watching and creating fan content for. But I think what Tumblr antis wonder is, aren’t there also much better MCYTs/CCs people could be watching and stanning? Because he’s just some guy, right? Is his content truly so exceptional or is he really so exceptional a person, that people have to stick by him, despite the things that spike up regarding his current or past actions? I think that’s what made me finally decide to stop watching Dream. I realized he was just Some Guy. The Dream Team was a comforting dynamic to indulge in, DNF was a cute ship to read and speculate about, and Manhunts were fun videos to watch; however, once the Reddit posts came out and I read them in-depth, the cost-benefit analysis tipped over to the “not worth it” side for me. I realized Dream’s content, while fun and comforting, was not entirely unique, and wasn’t worth sticking around for, given what I then knew about his past political leanings. If he is just Some Guy, then there are a hundred more like him out there. There a hundred more ships, a hundred more found family dynamics, a hundred more entertaining and skilled Minecraft players. So while I agree with you on the point of people being allowed to love him regardless because he is just a guy, at the end of the day, I think that, if we are to believe that sentiment or use that argument in such a manner, we should also understand the flip side- that, if he is just some guy, why is it worth sticking around? To that I say, maybe because people just enjoy the simple things they enjoy.
Anyways, I wholly agree with your tl;dr. Thanks for that insanely long ask, this was a fun thing to keep me occupied while I’ve been at work, facilitating Zoom sessions this whole morning.

OG Heavens: Love letters
For these Heavens posts, I had reached out to a few people who just never ended up responding. With projects like these, please at least hear them out, you don't have to do it because I know its a huge project but at least tell them you won't be doing it instead of ghosting them. But apart from that little road block, this project was really fun!!
Please enjoy under the cut!!!!
EIICHI OTORI
From @milkmateartist:
I have always leaned towards megane characters and Eiichi is no exception. However, it's not often you see idols wearing glasses, and that is something I appreciate about Eiichi's design. His color palette also intrigues me since I love deep shades of blue. His royal blue jacket is very attractive, and the way he pops the collar also makes me go "kya!".  His voice is also very sexy as well and is pleasing to the ear uwu. I love how egoistic he is too. Being incredibly ambitious he has been able to reach amazing heights that surpass other idols. The one thing that seems to make him unique though is that he really gets zealous and overly passionate when it comes to the power of music, so much that it makes him physically tremble. You could get high off that shit literally. His entire being is centered around being an idol, and all the components of him go above and beyond the requirements. It's not just a job for him or something that simply makes an earning or brings satisfaction. It's pretty much everything to him. For that reason he has made it to the top. There is also the component where he's lonely and isolated emotionally that interests me. Despite being a beloved idol, he clearly didn't get the love he needed growing up. Even though he had Eiji I feel as though his nature was more to protect Eiji and shield him from whatever terrors would arise. I admire his ability to come through all of that and pay attention to the things he really cared about. Eiichi can be himself, his strange, sexy self, but also he acknowledges the lonesome darkness within too. I think that component makes him incredibly powerful.
Extra Details:
While appearing to be a bad guy in the anime (at least), Eiichi seemed to be that typical bad boy idol that would steal away Haruka from the main group. The time when he approached Haruka and took her by the chin is a perfect example. How dare this new guy just think he can have his way with our protagonist!  To be honest I liked that aspect about him a bit. While I can't remember my first impression of Eiichi aside from not knowing how to feel about that, he slowly grew on me. He had the appearance of just another selfish idol, demonstrated by swiping the mic away from the announcer at one of his concerts and immediately declaring their foreseen victory. So far that looked rather bland to me, and I was still cheering for STARISH. They really made him out to look like some bad guy who would not play fair and do whatever he could to take the throne (and the girl).  It's not surprising his glasses shine adds to his 'freaky antagonist' vibe that the show seemed to try to give off, but however for me I love the glasses beam, thus having the opposite effect.
And then there is the Next Door episode. Now here's where we got to see more of Eiichi aside from when the HEAVENS Dragon demolished the entire stadium. Aside from kya-ing over the EiichiOtoya content (especially where he goes behind otoya and covers his eyes), I got to see more of him here. It surprised me that someone so cocky and confident was actually the same depressed, lonely person that Otoya was. But it was also evident to me as well that he did care about the effect it had on Otoya as well after he sort-of-well mind broke him. I like how he is ambitious but also still caring, as compared to an antagonist that would stop at nothing to achieve their goal regardless of how much pain they cause.
I also enjoy Eiichi because I feel like I can roleplay him well. Usually for me, roleplay has to achieve some kind of goal since I tend to be business oriented. I think to some degree I'm able to practice being a eboy idol through Eiichi, as I do enjoy charming the fans. It also helps that I can naturally play characters with an inflated ego who enjoy charming people.
From @/egoisticCEO on twt:
July 2019. When Eiichi was first introduced to me via his voice, I hated him from the very beginning. His singing, his appearance, his personality – everything about him made me despise him. It’s funny looking back and seeing how quickly my attitude changed towards him, realising I’d been biased against him because of a friend. Finding more about him, hate turned to interest. It seemed like his life hadn’t been the best. Maybe that was why he acted in such a way? Interest turned to liking him more. Maybe I’d misunderstood him. I’d made the mistake of taking him at surface level.
December 2019. Like was slowly turning to love. More and more, I found myself looking at him instead of my current favourites. I found myself wanting him to actually be a part of Egoistic. Once I started devouring HEAVENS Radio and unveiling his true character, it was shocking how quickly I fell. He truly acted like a father to everyone in his band. Giving them what he never received. Everything was for them to thrive.
2020. With how much I was at home, it only made sense I grew more obsessed. I found Life with Thanks’ translation. “We’re irreplaceable to him,” he tells us, and that made me certain that his heart wasn’t as evil as some people liked to believe. He’s a caretaker, someone who wants everyone to feel like they matter. Even at his own expense. Instead of selfish, he’s selfless.
I related to him more than I have to any character – it was comforting. Seeing someone have no choice but to put on a brave face, even when his confidence was at an all time low. 2020 got a lot harder for me, but when I recovered, Eiichi was like a home to go back to. Time and time again, I’d have to break away, but I’d always be invited back in by that stupid smirk and overexaggerated ego and the warmest heart you could ever find. Every scene I watched with him would make me smile. I’d tease him to myself. I still do.
2021. That brings us to now. I can’t see my love for this one of a kind man dying any time soon. I don’t want it to, either. Just looking at him makes me happy! He’s the type of character with so many facets to his personality that you can keep digging and never reach the end. So, in conclusion, I hope I never stop finding new things out about this wonderful idiot. More than anything, he deserves all the love he gives to others, and I’d love to provide it tenfold.
KIRA SUMERAGI
From Anon:
Many have their reasons to love their favorite characters. As for me, why Kira Sumeragi is my favorite character is because there are several things about him that I can relate myself to and there are a few qualities he has that I like about him. If many do not know about Kira that much, they’d look at who he is. He may look intimidating at first and may not talk much, when in actuality, Kira is a considerate, dependable, and mindful guy. Mainly, he is the type of guy that lets his actions do the explaining. He is a hard worker, as an idol, he looks after his bandmates, HEAVENS, like family. It’s like what Eiichi said in HEAVENS Radio about Kira, “he is HEAVENS’ pride!” Although he may not say much, Kira is very observant of his surroundings and never hesitates in his decisions. The members of HEAVENS understand and acknowledge Kira, knowing that he means well.
You can even tell in his solo music! Although there are only two solo songs for Kira, if you read the lyrics carefully, Kira’s thoughts and feelings are shown. Kira always knew that if he cannot explain his feelings through words, then he’ll let his songs and his actions do it for him for you to see.  Although the anime doesn’t show much of Kira, the only way to get to know him more is through HEAVENS Radio, also drama CDs like Paradise Lost, and other media like LINE Messenger Japan. There’s still much that I’d want to know about him, but as a start, these things are what makes Kira my favorite character for HEAVENS.
From Anon:
Aside from my huge bias towards OnoD the first thing that drew my attention to Kira was his design. Dark haired anime boys with bright eyes have such a vibe and I loved how mysterious he was set up to be in season 2. But the thing that really hooked me a lot was the found family that Heavens became over the progression of the anime.
Particularly since people in the fandom have a bunch of funky headcanons about Kira being the mom friend in the group, which is incredibly wholesome. Kira’s very quiet and reserved but clearly holds a deep caring for his group members and does what he can when needed which is one of the reasons why he became so loveable for me.
NAGI MIKADO
From @/_PXRFECTIONIST on twt:
If I managed to stan Nagi, so will you.
Greetings. I present to you, once more, a story of how I came to love a character that I wished I threw hands with.
So.
Nagi Mikado.
The possible only utapri character that Shinomiya oshis despise. Thanks to what happened in the anime.
Truth be told, I too was one of them. Until I came to love Both Shinomiya and Nagi. Reason?
Research.
Ya see, it is universally agreed upon that the way Nagi was pushing and pulling at Shinomiya's trauma and DID was… Not okay. So I said "yeah okay what an obnoxious kid i dont think ill ever like him lol" especially since I never come to really warm up to people younger than me.
Boy was I wrong.
My heart really sways easily when I go deep into characters, and why they act the way they are. And also because I chose to roleplay as him, but let's not. Speak of that.
(its actually the main reason i like him in the first place who am i fooling)
Nagi is… Indeed obnoxious, and really has bad manners that are covered up by his cute looks and fame, especially since he's one of the original HEAVENS members, but once you get to really know him.. It makes sense why he's being such a brat. And that is sort of endearing. And knowing how his group is like family to him too, it becomes harder and harder to completely dislike him.
….
He really is a boss man.
He knows what he wants, and how to get it. He knows how to get people to like him without handing over the tiniest sliver of his weaknesses. He acts in his own way that shapes his personality to suit him, yet still manages to be caring and helpful, even if it's hard to see tenderness and good will through his aggression.
Reading his solo lyrics, listening to the drama CDs, even thinking of headcanons due to lack of lore, it all slowly comes together like a lovely parfait to suddenly make you realize..
'Wow…'
'I really do like that rat.

so i may be into manic pixie dream girls
Tumblr media
ramble in coming:
im so interested in where jinxs character arc will lead and ofc what will happen in order to get there. there better be more than two seasons of arcane, if not, i will simply die. bUT pow pow. i love her. there is such raw anxiety and paranoia in her character and i find it truly amazing that she is as functional (even though shes really not) as she is. she reminds me a lot of myself in some facets, especially this. although i wasnt bitch slapped in the face and then taken in by my found familys worst enemy and raised to be a kill machine, not a daughter, i still relate to her struggles. and i hate to my own personal beliefs about spirituality and the inner child, but its so fucking obvious that there is such a clear disconnect between who she is, who she is meant to be, and her past. i mean, theres an entire scene depicting this conflict. SHE EVEN SAYS WHERE SHE SHOULD SIT so i dont feel the need to go that far into it, but im bringing this up because i also wanted to talk about nurture. as i said before, jinx was created by silco. despite what she says, jinx was created by him (and marcus but fuck marcus hes a lil bitch i hate him). someone completely different would have been made if vi and powder were able to stay together and process what happened together. and, for the record, vi didnt betray jinx or leave her. she was, what, 15? 16? idk but she was young enough and stupid enough to not know how to control her impulses. and knowing her and pow pow come from an abusive household (pre vander, this is implied by powder saying "mom! no! please!" and vi punches her. not only that but when jinx is being resurrected by singed i think thats the right hallucinatory scene, the woman she sees is probably her mom and is most certainly NOT caitlyn) this only helps the fact that vi has violent tendencies (obviously lol) so when she discovers that her own sister killed vander, mylo, and claggor she just reacted. im not in any way excusing what she did, all im saying is that this was not an act of betrayal, it was a matter of impulse control

TWEWY....i bet you'd love a reason to talk about it OwO
oh my god THIS is how i remember that i completely forgot about twewy 2 and haven't played it ;o; googles where to get $60 fast...
anyway all of this is with the caveat that i haven't actually played the game in YEARS nor do i know or care that much about all the lore. i just based an entire core facet of my personality on the message i took away from this game as a 15 year old, as you do
i've picked out the ones i CAN answer bc im not involved in any way with fandom for this game so i dont know who's underappreciated. i know who's overappreciated tho
anyway
blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most)
neku......
listen you might have talked to me once about this game. and i might have spent an hour and a half talking about a character who is NOT neku. that doesn't mean anything.
to even understand what this kid MEANS to me you'd have to go back in time seven years to little high school me playing this game for the first time and the actual revelations about the world that it gave me... the way it inspired me to actually change the person i am and how i choose to live and interact w the people around me... it's like one of the core memories from inside out the movie, but it's just this game in the orb
alternatively i would have to explain the entire game from the ground up and the way this single character, THE main character, starts as an antisocial boy who sees no value in relationships with other people (as a defense mechanism, perhaps, bc he doesn't want to lose anyone else... idr if i was projecting or not at the time but i think he had a friend die. so) and who goes about his life like he doesn't NEED to bother with people at all, like they're entirely separate and never need to be acknowledged... and then he develops into someone with not just one friend, but SEVERAL people who he values so highly he manages to bring them all back to life. it's a really fulfilling story that i think about to this day, and i COULD talk for hours about how interesting i find this character, how perfect i think he is for the narrative that gets told, and how much i love the friends he makes and how complex his relationships are with those friends...
look out bc im gonna replay the game and go full brainrot now. you've done this
scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped)
you 🤝 me hating to baby our characters... usually the characters who might fit in this category are VERY dimensional, and choosing to baby them ignores the deeper and more interesting parts of their characters. i don't love to do it, and the POINT of this game is that people aren't all just the front-facing persona they choose to put on, and it just feels antithetical to hold someone up and go hee hee look at how baby he is... that being said twewy DOES have a character who is SO shaped. i think mr mew speaks for himself
Tumblr media
poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave)
listen he's not unpopular but he's also THE image that pops into my mind when i envision a poor little meow meow... it's joshua kiryu, who is probably the character i talked about the most when i talked about twewy with you bc he has so many layers to peel back and it's fun to look at a miserable little liar with powers akin to a god and go Yeah, This Guy, Love This Guy. love this guy.
i really do look at him like noooo don't go into this game with total disregard for the beauty of humanity and come out of it having learned the value of trust and friendship along the way!! which COULD put him in blorbo territory, except that he's the nastiest little shithead in the whole game, and that's counting people like kariya whose literal jobs are to make people suffer in new and inventive ways. i have feelings for him
his core personality trait is that he never tells anyone anything, especially not the things that would be important for them to know, and decides to go about his business like he's above every other person in the world and doesn't need to bother with them. i love a good foil to my protagonists, but i especially love characters who shine a light on the ways they're different from my protagonists by being so similar. talk to me about him again sometime
horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason)
also josh :) by the end of the game i remember feeling like i hadn't seen enough of him. neku and shiki and beat and rhyme all grow into people with a better understanding of themselves and the world and josh remains kind of aloof and above it all. makes me feel like he got something out of it all, but not the RIGHT things. not ENOUGH things. i would like to see him go through more events, and perhaps some of those events would be torment flavored
eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell)
minamimoto. he made me do bad math and he's definitely gay
and even though i have no contact with whatever fandom still remains for this fifteen year old game i see TOO much of him and he can go away. i know he comes back in NEO but i dont know what happens in NEO so maybe i'll like him more after i actually get a chance to play it but until then he's just some GUY with a MEGAPHONE who needs it to be TAKEN AWAY. eeby deeby for him

I could never get into a season of IT or FR(or esp or aus), but the way u rave about some of those seasons and the way everybody is raving about maya's season makes me wanna check em out. I'll wait & see if maya's whole season to get a full review before i take that leap tho. As for Italia, im tempted by the sana season bc that's the only season that OG really botched. Also, many hate it, but what do u think of druck s2? (ive only seen their william's panic attack clip. I like that twist)
You mean Alex (german William). Here is the thing and its not only druck many remakes fell into this that they made their william so douchey and mysterious and like the typical hot guy that like they never became a full character to me. I think maybe its because we only really see Alex in s2 and then him and mia also break up even tho i do love that conversation about you know always being part of one another. I think its important skams show that people grow out of relationships and change. Winterberg just doesn't hold up for me very well after a rewatch and its just because other remakes have these really intense love stories that build over time like Skam Espana where it takes 4 seasons for Nora and Pomme to finally have that huge pay off. So because of that we take a ton of time to flush out Alejandro as a person. As an entire character that has many facets of his personality. So by the time Nora and him finally get together we have seen so many sides of alejandro and we get him way more deeply and he matures in front of our eyes and really gives himself to Nora in the end. Thats why that scene standing outside coming all the way from london feels very emotional because its been such a journey to get here for the audience. With alex I felt like we began to build an emotional connection to him and then it kinda of stops plus he is very broody hahaha and then we dont see him really at all in matteo's season (we hear him tho hahahahah) and then in Amira season’s they basically break up so its hard to connect ya know what i mean? Where other skams invest so much time into shaping their william.I feel the same with Senne and Zoe we see them as whole characters. Senne is an entire entity outside of Zoe. I dont hate winterberg I just think its exactly what it is. A high school boyfriend situation that is done and dusted within a year or so. It happens and its over and thats also how i feel as audience member. Not super invested.
