i was just thinking, it wouldn’t make sense for the show to end in three seasons bc how would that give enough time for them to finish off character arcs and also decide an ending for the restaurant? the endings have to feel deserved and bc we just got the restaurant and we still have a lot left unexplored or unaddressed with the characters, three seasons would be crazy. how do you finish off the intended journey with the restaurant (whether it stays open or closed) and finish off character arcs without it feeling undeserved? everything has to add up and make sense, three seasons wouldn’t be enough to do that. i think four seasons can perfectly do that, but three? ehhh… there’s too much to address as of right now.

I think Chris never really expected to get a second season much less the opportunity to do up to 5 seasons. I think regardless of how many seasons they end up having, he is still going to have the series end the same way he intended it to from the start. And I just don't see him doing major reworks to the ending/arc of season 3 when they're already in the midst of making it.

Contrary to all the headlines, Season 4 has actually not even been confirmed by FX, and until it is I'm really not getting too much hope up. Those bonus episodes they agreed to film could be added within the Season 3 storyline, so there might not even be a fourth season. Which I think could make sense to just give them more time for things to wrap up, the "partnership" to work itself out, and everyone to have an arc in Season 3 that doesn't feel rushed.

Also just the general timeline of things, even if they do continue filming into June for a real Season 4, they are very limited in time for producing a fully fledged long season because everyone probably needs to go do their other projects they are signed up for right after. I could see season 4 being a sort of epilogue "where are they now" kind of vibe if they really do end up going in the direction of the restaurant shutting down by the end. If the restaurant doesn't close then I think the ending of season 3 could be moved to be the ending of Season 4.

I don't really expect any major time jumps in Season 3 because so many major events are happening right at the start of the season. So to wrap up their 15 month timeline in 12+ episodes is tight. I think there will always be more they could have explored for all the characters and some level of loose ends with the story, I think Chris likes to leave a certain level of things up for interpretation.

As for season 5, I really don't see it happening any time soon if they can't even film for season 4 next year. I could see them doing a Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life situation type of reunion like 5 to 10 years after the finale if the story does go in the direction of The Bear closing and them agreeing to try again in the future.

I saw on twitter that cancelled pretty much never get uncancelled and the best bet is the show getting picked up by another streamer.

Is there anything that can be done to help with that?

Hi friend! Thanks for the ask! Great question! So it really depends on the network... The more we're hearing from Max / WB is that the don't want to renew it, per the article in hollywood reporter yesterday with the CEO of WB. That being said, all the fans have been reaching out via phone, email, snail mail, fax, twitter, and all the social medias and it DOES seem to be making a difference. Now, does that mean that Max will renew it? Maybe not, but it's getting SO MUCH media attention that it has to be catching the eyes of some other networks. The fact that David Jenkins and cast and crew are starting to share on social media again also seems to be a good sign. Can I guarantee that? Not really, but it seems like the fans are being heard and everyone seems dedicated to keep pushing until something happens.

I know a lot of people on twitter are doing things like tweeting @ other networks like @ PrimeVideo, FX, etc and products to gain visibility (the astroglide thing yesterday was crazy, but did work in getting a lot of visibility from a lot of places).

I noticed something interesting that's heard when you break through the darkness barriers with your flashlight.

It always happens on the last 'cell' of darkness, after which the barrier is gone and things quiet down. Each 'cell' pitches slightly higher as you go through them, and the last one is always the loudest. Sometimes there are two, sometimes three.

And sometimes - but not every time - when that last 'cell' is cleared, you can hear what sounds (to me, at least) like a woman's shout, buried under the explode-y FX.

These are all from Saga's side of the story. There aren't many of these to break through as Alan, and from what I recall, the few that do occur aren't the best for recording; i.e. one of them is when you're surrounded by shadows who immediately start attacking you, another is when you're peering through a window and breaking through one in another room that's hard to hear, etc. Not sure if that, (Saga vs. Alan) means anything, (or if any of this does, or if I'm just crazy).

For reference, here's one instance where you don't hear the shouting (if that's what it is):

And then here are three instances where you do hear what I'm talking about - listen closely to the last break in the barrier. (The one above had 3 breaks; these only have 2 each).

firstly, thank you. this is one of the best compliments i have ever gotten for my writing and i would like to eat it

secondly, i literally spent like 5 mins trying to figure out what ops and hcs means but i am going to assume it means opinions and headcanons??? consulted my friend and she also said opinions and headcanons so we are going to go with that. if it doesn’t mean that then this is going to be really embarrassing BUT.

i actually have like. 3 hualian idol au wips buried somewhere in my gdocs. maybe one day i will complete them but in the mean time here are some of my. ops and hcs:

- i had an idol au a few years ago where hua cheng is in a group with feng xin, mu qing, and he xuan, and i still think that’s so fucking funny. i just dug through my gdocs and found the 1 page i wrote of it back in september 2021:

- alternatively i think having all 4 calamities in an idol group is also equally hilarious. and then another group is xianle trio. sqx and swd an idol duo. OR three tumors are a group and sqx a solo idol.

- alternatively xianle trio group and huaxuan duo because i am crazy and predictable.

- idk if this counts but i have another wip from february 2021 where xie lian works at a convenience store and is a fan of hua cheng the idol. like SUCH a big fan. he goes broke to buy all the merch, knows of him from the predebut days, attends every concert albeit his nosebleed seats, etc etc. and then one day hua cheng walks into the store in like a mask and stuff and immediately falls in love with the pretty cashier and stuff. u know how hualian goes. anyways i also found the 1 page of this au i had written:

oh my god ok so i actually had more of this au dumped in my dms with bella (astrocosmos on ao3). so fxmq are xl’s besties in this au and they are both secretly big fans of hua cheng even tho they would rather die than admit that out loud. one day they all accidentally meet in the merch line at one of hua cheng’s concerts and all hell breaks loose.

fxmq: [fighting in the merch line] xie lian walking up to them out of nowhere: do you guys think i should get the ghost city era picket or the paradise manor era picket? fxmq, immediately: OBVIOUSLY GHOST CITY—wait, XIE LIAN?!?!?!!?!?! xie lian: [smiling serenely] hello guys

- hualian idol au where xianle trio are an idol group and hua cheng literally comes to EVERY SINGLE ONE of their fansigns, buys a SHIT ton of albums to make sure he gets in every time, and at the actual fansign he just completely ignores fx and mq and instead spends the entire time complimenting xl and showering him with presents, etc etc. xie lian’s company literally has to enforce a No Gifts At Fansigns rule bc of hua cheng. fx and mq thinks that he is the creepiest thing on the planet. there are whole subgroups of netizens who HATE hc and think he’s really creepy bc he’s ALWAYS around xl. meanwhile xl thinks hc is the cutest person ever and is in love with him. yeah.

- hualian idol au with solo idols xie lian and hua cheng and their fanbases HATE each other. think armys and blinks. engenes and teumes. i can’t really think of any more but u get the idea. meanwhile xl and hc are dating LMAOOO

- ok that ^ but imagine like a socmed/twt au where like. this random twt account starts getting really popular and they are like hualian shippers and both of xl and hc’s fanbases make fun of them all the time and it’s literally the only thing the two groups ever agree on: that this random acc is stupid af and completely delusional. THEN ONE DAY the admin of the acc posts a selfie and guess what. it’s hua cheng. and then xl replies to the selfie from his very real main twitter account and the internet just goes fucking bonkers

i am sorry this is literally a whole dump of aus and thoughts for no reason but. yeah. those are all the ops and hcs i can think of right now!!!!!!! thank u for asking me this question and giving me an excuse to ramble about hualian. <3 hope you are having a lovely day <3

Google wants me to pay for more photo storage, I do not want to do that, and I want to keep all my photos safe on something physical rather than on a digital account

What's the best way to do this? I was thinking of buying usb sticks and transferring all my photos onto them, but I'm not sure if this is the best way

Ah barely in my twenties, I don't remember what we did with our camera photos when they ran out with storage...

external drives are a good idea! usb sticks are good for portability, it just depends on how much storage you want. you can get usb sticks with up to 1TB of storage, which might be more than enough if you're just storing photos. if you want to store stuff like videos or movies, larger external hard drives like this one can go up to 5TB. and if you really wanna go crazy, there are ones out there up to 22TB and probably more. it's wild how huge storage has gotten.

if you want secure cloud storage, i recommend sync.com. it's pretty affordable as cloud storage goes and is fully end-to-end encrypted so sync cannot see what you put on there unless they're required to decrypt it for law enforcement (as all companies are). dropbox is also pretty nice. i had to move away from it because they have link access limits--too many people were clicking my share links so they shut it down, it just depends on how you plan to use it.

i honestly recommend doing both. redundancies are a life saver with digitally storing stuff. i have a lot of my files on sync.com, but everything i put on there i make sure to put on an external drive first (i have a 4TB one with a shit ton of movies and all of wwdits fx in 4k and still am not close to running out) in case something goes wrong in the cloud or on the drive, i always have backups. i think the common recommendation is at least 3 redundancies; my computer breaks a lot so i have 2 external hard drives and my sync storage.

#also if you're not super experienced with it i do recommend highly organizing your file structures #so you can find things #i love doing that it's like cleaning my room it makes me feel so peaceful #but if you're storing stuff that's important to you in several places it's good to have a system #cricket answers #tech

Revisiting The Terminator on the Big Screen

Got to see The Terminator on a big screen for the first time ever at a special screening at the newly-refurbished former Arclight in Culver City, now called The Culver Theater.

First off, it's always a joy to see a great film in theater. And it's wonderful to see this particular theater open up again. The Arclight was always special. And now Amazon has taken it over but the intention is to treat it like a proper studio-agnostic theater and run films from all the studios, plus they have converted one of their screens to be 8K. I really hope people show up and keep the lights on.

Even having seen this film easily 30+ times, watching it on a proper screen with great sound was a revelation. The Terminator blew me away like it hadn't since I first watched it in high school on VHS.

Everything about it is brilliantly realized. The concept, story, pacing, action, cinematography, dialogue, even the FX which are a bit clunky at times are perfectly executed for the era and budget. It's also subversively funny, and at times darkly hysterical.

And not to mention, it's visceral and scary. I remember when it first came out, it was considered more like a horror film than a sci-fi action film, at least among my friends. It was, along with Jaws and Alien, a movie you had to be brave to watch.

But even more so...

Linda Hamilton's performance is simply outstanding. The Terminator doesn't work without her. Without her as the lead, you have a solid sci-fi action thriller that's an 80s footnote. It's her movie, equally as much as Arnold's, and she doesn't get nearly enough credit for it.

She's sweet and cute, vulnerable, relatable, and yet you feel there's something more going on, an underlying fire and strength to Sarah Connor...

Which makes it possible to believe that she not only could survive this incredible, terrifying situation, but that she will rise to the occasion and become a great leader.

The scene in the motel with her and Reese, well frankly for the first time I've ever experienced with this film, I got emotional. You feel how sad she feels for him, how scared she is, and how attracted she is to him, even having only met him the night before.

She makes you believe a sensible waitress would fall for this crazy future man under the circumstances, and not have it be exploitative or feel creepy or weird when they fall into bed. And she's pretty damn dreamy too. You believe that Reese has been in love with her forever from just an old photo, and threw his life away to meet and protect her.

She makes you believe she believes this is happening. That a normal woman is being targeted by a cyborg assassin from a post-nuclear future, and that some day her un-conceived son will lead a rebellion against the robot overlords. And then, knowing how much she evolves by the next film, into something completely unrecognizable to her earlier self, adds a level of emotion and poignancy to the whole story.

And btw, Michael Biehn and Arnold SchSchwarzenegger are excellent as well. Nearly everyone is. Even the smaller roles are memorable, like the overly talkative cop played by Lance Henricksen, and his jaded boss, Paul Winfield. No moment is wasted. No scene overplays its welcome. And by the time Sarah Connor is crawling away from the relentless metal endoskeleton with the glowing red eyes, you're breathless even though you know exactly how it ends.

It's just a terrific film on every level. Exciting and inspiring as a writer, filmmaker, content creator, creative.

Now get out there and go to the movies, people! Do it!

the immortality concept in tgcf is always interesting to think about, especially with the age range that the human mind cannot really comprehend... but maybe it's best for me not to think too much about it at midnight when i have uni early in the morning 😞😭 there are a lot of thoughts tho

you described the dynamic i had in mind for them perfectly!! mq's way of showing care by scolding and nagging and teasing that at time could come out as a touch too sharp. lqq's of being loud when defending and engaging into banter but keeping it light and not taking the teasing too close to heart unless it comes to his morality stands. they just weirdly compliment one another, especially with the way you said lqq takes the spotlight on the stage while mq is more "behind the curtain" type when dealing with things. you're so right, thinking about them makes me deranged as well

i do feel like the gods would be more vocal about the dislike towards mq when he was still a young god, and yeah especially those 33. while mq we see is well respected, and still very much disliked and distrusted, it is mq of 800+ years of presence in the heavenly court, and i do think many would be tight lipped around him regarding whatever his business are. but thinking about the backlash he would be facing during their earlier years/ centuries of friendship, i think they would be more vocal about it, if a bit sneaky with the way they would talk considering mq's temper with fx and general reputation that has been following him. 🤔 and well... there's also the broom throwing thing that has been going on apparently :'))

and he would definitely be on the bigger receiving end of it than lqq, especially considering their backgrounds and what the heaven considers "right". while lqq may be considered naive, he is still a noble that technically belongs in a way mq never could in their eyes.

but lqq still not standing by the bullying, even during the 'fight' is ekejjejejeej especially because i lqq knows that bullying is wrong no matter who's at the receiving end and, parallel to the mulian situation, there would be no shielding behind the higher authority to make it stop, just a very straightforward way to handle it. and i feel like mq, even if he is somewhat even struggling to admit he's miserable without lqq, would feel extremely touched knowing the way lqq would handle it 🥹🥹

no shade at mulian, literally my fave ship ever! i talk about them so much to my friends i feel like all of our brains are fried at this point lol they can fit so much angst and there are honestly dozens of ideas for fics that would likely never see the light of the day but we have the hope cuz we're all delusional 😔✊

just the parallels between them make me absolutely crazy, especially since i always kinda pictured mq as a type to get particularly adopted by the idealistic "sunshine type" people around him and get dragged around while he scowls and acts like he doesn't enjoy it, and then eventually ending up genuinely liking them, no matter how much they would clash at times with their ideologies. xl, sqx, i have an ongoing rants about mq and qyz friendship every other week. kinda pissed off that i didn't remember lqq until recently but it's never too late to start the brainrot anyway

i also went and checked the extras qianqing interaction, and it was actually mq seeing that lqq was in an awkward position being both the victim and the culprit and trying to send him back to heaven (it was the extra chapter where xl felt pain bcs of the guoshi mask he melted into a key?? i only searched for their names so again i have no idea/) but that was enough to have me covering my mouth and squealing

no at this point i will have to write *something* about qianqing, it would literally eat at me alive if i don't. life is busy and hard rn, but it will have to be done in this lifetime 😭

Mq has always given me the sense that he seeks out people with more emotional freedom than he feels he has. He spends so much of his time showing restraint and being distant that whenever I read sections of the book where Fu Yao makes an appearance, I see the way he lets his personality come out more. Maybe choosing the name “Fu Yao” was (among other reasons) mq’s way of literally saying he’s giving himself more freedom.

So like— it makes sense that mq has a pattern of associating with people who express themselves so freely— even if he sometimes takes shots at those people (mostly fx but also occasionally xl). Lqq is entirely unrestrained in a way that’s familiar but still unique. He’s one of the few gods who would step in or stand up for another without any ulterior motives— there’s nothing lqq would want to gain by standing up for mq in their early years. Whether he’s still angry with mq or not— it’s the right thing to do and that’s enough for him.

Meanwhile I feel like mq hates feeling like he’s once again being seen to hide behind another prince for protection. Mq likes to be in control of his circumstances— even if he could ask for help.

“I don’t need anyone fighting my battles.”

“No— but someone should have your back.”

Maybe that’s what it is about them actually? Lqq is so quick to jump up and declare injustice that mq thinks lqq would be trying to shield him when lqq is actually trying to advocate for his better treatment. Lqq learned the importance of unity and he practiced it well before ascending, so his type of support might be less about defending mq personally and more about shaming the gods for not setting a better example. Maybe he doesn’t even give mq the option to hide behind him.

(Related note, I can’t help thinking this type of tension would rise if lqq caught mq throwing a broom or snapping it in half— like ofc lqq is still mad but ofc he’s gonna try and connect the dots— maybe he even heard some of the gods laughing about their “gifts” to the young General.)

But okay now I’m thinking about the extra you mentioned and oooooooo

Mq confronting lqq in the mortal realm and failing to convince him to return to heaven. It’s a side of lqq mq has never seen. He’s not driven by a sense for justice anymore, now lqq wants revenge— maybe mq tells him that. Maybe it only angers lqq more. Either way, lqq doesn’t return.

(I actually have a similar scenario in my brain between lqq and newly-mortal pei xiu, which was actually the idea that got me started in qianxiu rarepair hell but that’s a separate space altogether LMAO)

Anyway—! If writing is too exhausting given life’s demands I am always happy to keep exploring these deranged (affectionate) scenarios. Life persists, but so does the brainrot!

Pei Ming is hosting a party after college graduation, he wanted to have one last young and wild memory before they have to fully become adults and work their asses off to survive this crazy world.

All around people are dancing, drinking and having fun, It's the end of their college lifes, the end of living careless, of partying every weekend not caring to go to class with a hangover on monday, so they have to make the most of it.

Next day will be time for them to become adults, responsible adults, provide for themselves, maybe build families, maybe not, but today it's time to party and enjoy life.

In a more quiet corner Pei Ming, Feng Xin, Xie Lian, Hua Cheng, Mu Qing, Ling Wen and Shi Qingxuan are sitting in a circle playing a cards game.

Beer bottles are scattered all around them and they can barely hear each other through the loud music and chatter of others.

Xl "tell your most embarrassing moment- ooh that's kinda hard"

Mq "haha yeah, cuz you have a lot of those, how can one possibly choose the most embarrassing of them"

Hc "yet they can't never be more embarrassing then your existence alone Mq"

Mq growls in annoyance at Hc's smirk smile. Hc has his arms wrapped around Xl's shoulders, with a smug posture and an air of protectiveness surrounding him.

Xl "Sang Lang!"

Hc only gives Xl a inocente smile and doesn't say anything else.

After Xl's answer the game continues in its previous playful atmosphere for a while.

It's now Mq's turn, he draws the card and falls silent immediately after reading it.

Everyone stares at him waiting in anticipation, but he says nothing.

Sq "c'mon, what does it say? Tell us!!"

Mq clears his throat, eyes fixated on the card, he's unsure if this will end well.

After some more minutes he gathered his courage to read the card out loud.

Mq "place an ice cube in your mouth and make out with the player on your left until the ice cube melts"

Pm "ho ho"

Lw "oh my"

The group try to hide their giggles as everyone stare at the person on Mq's left, who seems like he didn't get it yet, he looked back at them confused.

Fx "what're you all staring at me for?"

Pm "are you dumb? YOU'RE the person on his left"

Now he got it.

He looked at Mq who was looking the other way, and back at the group, with a expression on his face no one could quite figure it out.

He was silent for a minute before managing to say anything.

Fx "I'm not doing that"

He looked at Mq again, yet, this time the other was looking at him too.

Mq "you think I wanna make out with your ugly ass? I'm not doing it either!"

Mq cursed to himself, it could only be his damn luck.

Of course the one on his left would be non other then Fx, his sworn "enemy", the most annoying person ever, the man he hated the most.

They were in the same friend group but never got along, always arguing and driving each other mad, if they were in a room together for more than five minutes a fight would for sure occur between them.

The thing is, it was clear to everyone, but themselves, the extreme sexual tension they were suppressing and disguising as hate for each other.

The group was obviously tired of their endless bickering but no one wanted to meddle in business it wasn't theirs, so they just had to watch as Mq's eyes stared lovingly at Fx when the other was distracted in class every day.

Or Fx who would always take charge of the food in the group gatherings so he could make sure there wasn't anything Mq was allergic to.

It was actually funny to the others how they acted like they hated eachother to the bone but were always contradicting themselves, and they weren't even aware off it.

Part of the group was entertained watching Mq and Fx argue over the dare on the card, they didn't notice the mischievous look Pm and Sq exchanged before speaking.

Pm "you guys ratter drink Xl's special drink as punishment then?"

The boys fell silent, fear immediately could be seen in their eyes.

Before the game started the group agreed in a punishment rule in case a player didn't want to do what their card said, the punishment was to drink a cocktail made by Xl, who was known for somehow being able to turn into poison any drink or food he tried to make.

Fx "do you want us to die? That thing will for sure kill us!"

Sq "it was you who decided on the punishment, now you wanna back out? That's not very honourable of you"

Sq was hiding a devilish smile under his hands as he said this.

Pm "what are you scared of? That you might like it?" He teased.

Fx could feel a gaze upon him from his right side, like if anticipating his answer.

After a couple of minutes not saying anything Fx suddenly grabbed an ice cube from the cooler next to him, surprising the others, still hesitant he moved closer to Mq who looked surprised.

Lw "wait"

Mq was so nervous he screamed internaly, everyone turned to look at Lw expecting an explanation for the sudden protest.

Lw "a make out session between you two is not something I wish to have engraved in my mind -she pointed to a closet next to the spot they were in- do it there"

Fx let out a frustrated grunt. "you must be kidding me"

Hc "for once, I agree, I don't wanna see you two getting horny in front of me, shoo shoo, to the closet you go"

Sq "but don't try to cheat, we will be checking afterwards"

Fx "pervs"

Fx said before taking a new ice cube from the cooler and putting into an empty cup, he looked at Mq for a second before grabbing his hand and dragging him towards the closet trying not to mind the giggles of their friends.

Fx shoved Mq inside the closet and closed the door.

Mq grunted "do you wanna die?!"

Fx "let's... just get this over with "

His voice was weirdly shaky, he sounded nervous, what Mq found quite odd.

The closet was not big and the random stuff scattered all around made the space even more limited.

Fx grabbed the ice cube and tossed the cup to the side, his hands shaking a little, he took the cube up to his mouth and moved closer to Mq, his right knee started pressing between Mq's legs the more close he got and a shiver went up his back.

On the other end Mq's heart was going crazy, beating so fast it could bust out of his chest at any moment.

It felt like Fx was taking an eternity to get to him, his body was growing hotter and hotter at every second, Mq had to act, he grabbed Fx's shirt and pulled him closer.

Their lips finally touched.

The kiss started surprisingly slow, it was soft and hesitant, Mq felt his body tremble when his tongue came in touch with the ice on Fx's mouth, a mixture of hot and cold that was kinda confusing to the brain.

But it didn't take long before the kiss started to get fast and aggressive, Fx's hands grabbed Mq's wrists loosening the grip on his shirt and tightening the hold around his waist instead, he wrapped his on arms around the other's neck pulling him even closer.

They looked so desperate, their mouths parting only when their lungs hurt from the lack of oxygen, they were devouring one another like someone who was starved for a decade had just been given food.

It was a messy, cold, wet, desperate kiss, the little ice cube twirling between their tongues, it was weird, weirdly good.

Water was dripping from the corner of their mouths as the cube melted faster than expected, yet, when it melted completely, they didn't stop, on the contrary, things only got more heated.

Fx stoped the kiss and took a hold of Mq's waist sitting him on top of a pile of plastic boxes, he pulled on Mq's hair and licked the bare skin of his neck, he kissed and sucked on the skin making the other let out a loud moan, their already hard members brushed against eachother and Fx let out a moan as well, his hand falling immediately to the zipper of Mq's pants, the other did the same.

At this moment they weren't thinking about they rivalry, there wasn't time to evaluate their actions, the only thing their wanted was to appease that fire burning inside, that fire that had been burning since a long time but was keep at ease by both of them, and now that it was finally fueled they couldn't control it anymore, at least for today, they'll let the fire consume them.

They masturbated eachother while maintaining their mouths glued together, moaning between kisses.

The air inside the closet was hot, the sound of the music was muffled but it was still loud, shouts of people partying could still be heard outside yet it was like they completely forgot everything around them, at that moment there was only Mq and Fx.

They reached climax together, both panting, legs shaking, heads spinning, they looked at each other, how did it end like this? It was just a game, just a stupid card game, and it managed to break the walls they had built.

Years of represed feelings and desire just came crumbling down like a tower of cards because of a game, a stupid card game.

After making sure they looked presentable again Mq grabbed Fx's wrist and was about to drag him out but was stoped.

Fx "wait, what are you doing?"

Mq got closer to Fx's ear "I need you inside of me right now or I might go crazy"

Mq didn't see how hard Fx blused nor allowed any time for him to protest, not that he would've, he opened the door and draged Fx out of that damn closet.

They didn't care about the party that was still going on, they didn't remember what they were doing before stepping into that closet and they also didn't care at this point, they didn't looked around nor acknowledged anyone, so naturally they didn't notice their friends gaze following them as they go up the stairs.

Sq "we lost them"

Pm "hahaha they're totally gonna fuck, about damn time"

Lw "fortunately I locked my room before everyone arrived"

Pm "oh shit, did I locked mine?"

At the other side Xl and Hc were making out with each other, not caring about anything else since a long time.

And since they lost two more soldiers the game wasn't fun anymore so they got up and went to enjoy the party with the others.

This night was the perfect end to the history of their college lifes, just like Pm wanted.

And it was probably the perfect beginning of the rest of their lives for some people.

I was asked last night what my top 10 of all time eps of Hart to Hart were. Let me tell you, friends, that one threw me for a loopy loop. I finally settled on the final ten, but I have to say that these are my personal favorites - the ones that bring me the most joy and the ones I've rewatched most often. It's possible that a venn diagram of good eps and my favorite episodes might have very little overlap. I like what I like. So, in no particular order, I present the Top Ten of All Time.

Pilot - In many ways this episode is a mess. It seems like they decided to retool some things from the pilot to the series. What they didn't change, however, was the chemistry that they introduced. This episode had THE BEST one-liners and they were back-to-back-to-back. "This is going to be your first time isn't it?" To be fair, not exactly. | "If I rolled over right now and tried to make love to you, would you call the police?" Only if I thought you needed help. | "Your feet are cold." Compared to whose, your fulsome friend? "She threw me out." No taste broad. | "Or, I could refuse to make love to you for the rest of the year." That sounds like you. | "Mind if I sit down?" Mind if I scream?" The whole thing makes me giddy every time.

Hart of Darkness - My affection for this one is two-fold. It was my late best friend's favorite episode. She did things like taped the show (ON VHS, from FX and then hallmark) and sent them to me, and whenever we would discuss it she always always ALWAYS talked about this episode (and when Jennifer is in France and Jonathan has been taken hostage). She liked the angst. One of my very first gif sets was for this episode. It's deliciously angsty, has some very mild friction caused mostly by Jonathan's insecurities, and also features Jennifer being a totally protective mate... I had to write a post-ep for it, because the episode is one I've watched absolutely the most.

Downhill to Death - to this day, I'm not sure I could actually recount the plot of this one. Something about cheating spouses and double crossing and murderous frosty the snowman. I am here for that hot tub scene and Jennifer's absolute inability to control her face journeys. In every scene with side pieces and what not, she looks like someone watching a live action soap opera. No chill at all. None. Also, when Kate asks her in the steam room about how everyone falls out of love or whatever and Jennifer just LETS THE WORDS HANG IN THE AIR. she couldn't even be bothered to be like "oh yeah, I totally know what you're talking about." She just let the crickets sing. Good job, Jennifer. You made it weird.

What Murder? - I have watched this episode no less than five times *since September*. Watching Jonathan fall in love with Jennifer all over again *CHEF KISS*. Watching Jonathan seduce Jennifer all over again *CHEF KISS*. Max being the one to help him start to regain his memories? (he gave jonathan away at the wedding jfc) *CHEF KISS* The ENTIRE conversation about whether or not she'd know if he had a woman on the side? *CHEF KISS* The moment Jennifer thinks Jonathan died in a car accident *CHEF KISS*

Hart of Diamonds - this has been previously discussed but Jennifer mentally overcoming serious hypnosis purely out of love for her husband? I'm in. RIP ME.

You Made Me Kill You - I love a good stalker episode. This is a good stalker episode. (Robin was too much. Too crazy. The cop guy didn't take the surveillance seriously. the creep factor on that one was set to 11.) Peggy was nutty and scary and yeah she totally tried to kill Jennifer and dragged her around by the hair in her slip (ok, saying it out loud maybe it is that bad). But it leaned into the camp of it and Peggy wasn't super great about killing people. She was a lil bit bad at it even. I think it's perfectly reasonable that someone a little bit unhinged would take Jonathan's kind demeanor and respect towards women as something more.

Two Harts are Better Than One - do I even have to explain this. no. origin stories are the shit, and this one was perfect. (made all the more perfect by Harts All AFlutter by @andallthatmishigas yes i am interrupting this post for a commercial read it ok)

On A Bed of Harts - Jonathan Hart bought a bed for Five Million Dollars because he wanted his wife to have their honeymoon bed. He bought a vineyard and a hotel too, but his intention was THAT BED. The whole chasing the bed through san francisco was a silly mess and the real estate developer and the french government but the episode ends with the Harts fucking in their bed while it was on display in Versailles. Velvet ropes at all. Start to finish, zany madcap romantic hijinks with people who have more money than sense. EXACTLY the formula for this show.

Blue and Broken-Harted - This one was just a rip-roaring good time. The Harts "fighting". Knowing they're being bugged and deciding they're just gonna turn the radio up real loud so whoever's listening doesn't know they're shagging. Jennifer going to a singles bar and ending up in jail overnight - in a FUR COAT. It also had some nice details about their wedding and Jonathan's ex girlfriend and Jennifer got to absolutely cut the woman pretending to be Irene into tiny little pieces with her words. I love episodes where the people around them are like "these two idiots are so fucking in love it's almost gross."

What Becomes a Murder Most - setting aside the entire epic intro photoshoot, the beginning and end of my love for this episode sets at the feet of Jonathan Hart. This episode makes me lean into the whole "made in the 80s" and fucking DIG the part where Jonathan is about to rip the world apart to save Jennifer. Similar energy to "The Lady is Murder" but this time he's letting his roots show a bit and he was going to intimidate everyone and if that didn't work he was just gonna beat the living shit out of them. Jennifer's name will never be associated with Whitefury. AYE AYE MAN. YOU GOT IT, YOURE SCARY. (aside: those were some midly spicy pictures that Jonathan would have loved to keep with him for business trips without her. but you know the murdery stuff ruined them so Jennifer made sure to get another set made for him. Spicier. that's my story.)
