Fancy Hot Chocolate Hacks
Cheap extracts.
That's it. Really.
Instead of spending $10 on a box that only has 6 pouches (yes, I am bitter about inflation!) buy the biggest, bog-standard generic multi-pack you can afford. (I picked up a box of 50 packets of Swiss Miss for $7 at Costco. Your mileage may vary.) Then head to the baking aisle.
You only need about 1/8 tsp of extract per mug of cocoa, so a standard 2 oz bottle goes a long way.
The most common flavors you can find at most groceries are:
Vanilla
Almond
Orange
Lemon
Strawberry
Coconut
Cinnamon
Peppermint/Mint
Pretty much everything but the cinnamon or mint will get an amazing flavor boost if you also add anywhere from a few drops up to 1/8 tsp almond extract. Seriously. It's magic.
Flavor combination recommendations:
1/8 tsp each Vanilla and Almond - tastes like a better version of the Hazelnut packets. Try adding a tiny pinch of salt, too.
1/8 tsp Orange - tastes like those seasonal slam-ball Chocolate Oranges
1/8 tsp Strawberry and a couple drops each of Almond and Vanilla - strawberry shortcake chocolate and it is so good
1/8 tsp each Orange and Almond with a few drops of vanilla - once more, so very very good. Add a couple extra oz of hot water/milk, because the flavors will be a little strong
1/8 tsp coconut with a few drops of vanilla - tastes like a chocolate macaroon
1/8 tsp cinnamon - way better than peppermint, which seems to have an unexpected chemical aftertaste
Salted Caramel Substitutes worth trying:
2 tsp honey, 1/8 tsp almond extract, pinch of salt - add an extra 2 oz of water when mixing this up or it'll be too sweet
1-2 tsp maple syrup, 1/8 tsp vanilla, 2-3 drops almond, pinch of salt - again, add a little extra water
Any caramel syrup (or even baking chips) you have on hand + a pinch of salt
So you're feeling fancy?
The Internet has a world of extract flavors beyond the grocery store standards. Good hot chocolate mix-ins include:
Caramel (if you don't want to bother with sugary syrups)
Mango (yes, really! This also tastes nice with a little bit of coconut extract added in)
Pistachio (plus some almond. trust me!)
Cherry (once more, also try adding some vanilla and/or almond)
Blueberry (it's like those chocolate covered blueberries at the check out aisle. Once more, try also adding a little vanilla and/or almond to taste)
Three more cheap, easy hacks:
Brew a cup of your favorite mint tea then mix in a packet of hot cocoa powder. This will still taste better than most peppermint extracts.
Brew a cup of coffee then mix in a packet of hot cocoa powder. Congrats. Now you have a mocha. Try adding some vanilla or almond extract.
Add 1 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice. This is good on its own, but you can also use it as the base for a passable PSL. Start with a brewed cup of coffee, a packet of hot cocoa, and some pumpkin pie spice. Add your vanilla and almond extracts, then dilute the whole mess with your favorite type of milk. If you like it sweeter, add a second packet of hot cocoa mix.

Masterlist | Requests are OPEN! | hmu to be added to a taglist!
A = Aftercare (what they’re like after sex)
Expect the very best aftercare from him – wipes you down, gets you a drink and massages you if you want. Definitely counts cuddling as aftercare.
B = Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
His favorite body part is probably his hair. He just loves to have it tugged on a little while he’s eating you out or while the two of you are in a make-out sesh. Plus, he’s just got nice hair, why not be proud of it.
His partner’s favorite body part are definitely their thighs. I mean come ON this man loves to eat out I just know it. He leaves hickeys everywhere because he can and he also loves holding them or squeezing them, even in non-sexual situations.
C = Cum (anything to do with cum, basically)
This man does NOT pull out (that’s how Rhaenyra’s kiddos happened). There’s just something about cumming inside you that feels so right, plus he might just have a tiny (massive) breeding kink
D = Dirty secret (pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
Lowkey wants you to come to him while he’s on duty and start something frisky…
E = Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)
Look at him. My mans knows exactly what he’s doing, and he does because he values communication and his partner’s pleasure.
F = Favorite position (this goes without saying)
There’s just something about cowgirl/partner on top that is everything to him. He gets to lean back and admire all of you, maybe whisper a few sweet nothings while you get off on him.
Alternatively, 69. It’s practical – he gets to do what he loves and his dick sucked?? Fucking perfect.
G = Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)
Whatever the moment calls for, honestly. He can be as serious as he is humorous. He won’t stare at you in silence if you fall off the bed lmao.
H = Hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)
The carpet matches the drapes. He will groom if you ask him to, otherwise he just leaves it.
I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
Biggest hopeless romantic. Would get the moon for you if you asked him, and it shows in the bedroom. Every action is loaded with affection.
J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon)
Jacks off if he can’t have sex, but prefers to get off with a partner. Also isn’t patient enough to just watch you. You let out a moan, and he’s practically teleporting himself across the room to make you feel good.
K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)
HUGE breeding kink. Speaking of huge, he definitely has a size kink, especially when it comes to hands. Maybe a slight switch, and adores dirty talk/praise
L = Location (favorite places to do the do)
The bed, where he can take his time to make you scream. If you’re a dragonrider, then sure, a dragon works too.

Modern!Human in Kaer Morhen
Summary: How the Witcher characters would try to impress a modern person + feel about them
Notes: I put some of the non-Witcher characters here too since some of them wintered at Kaer Morhen as well
it's been a while, but i had my wisdom teeth removed and was incapacitated for the last few days

Masterlist | based on this request | requests are OPEN!
Geralt
He tries to stay away from you at first since destiny loves to fuck him over
But you’re just so nice
Finally he’s being treated like a normal person
Would never admit it out loud
Doesn’t try to impress you per se, but tries to show that he cares about you and might become very protective
Yennefer
Has one talk with you, becomes the Continent’s first suffragette
Loves you for being a feminist (if you aren’t, why are you reading this??)
Tries to impress you with magic
Would probably work (come on! PORTALS???)
Very possessive of you, even as a friend
Triss
Honestly, she doesn’t really think about impressing you at all
But she kinda does?
She’s just a super kind person in a super shitty world
If she actually does try to actively impress you, it’ll also be through magic
Just more wholesome opposed to Yen’s intimidating
Jaskier
Will write you a song
And a song about you
He’s a bard, so be prepared to be serenaded (it would probably work on me tbh)
Ofc super flirty
So happy that you treat his witcher friends as anyone else

How The Witcher characters would react to someone from our world falling into theirs

Geralt
Fuck
This was not on his table. Not some person just appearing out of nowhere, but clearly not from a portal, and clearly very confused
Oh he believes you’re not from the Continent. He just does not like it, at all
Despite everything, he’ll take good care of you
Helps you until you can stand on your own feet, and then fucks off (unless something else happens in between 😏)
Yennefer
She expects you coming to the Continent to be on purpose
Since you have absolutely no power or means of survival, she can for once trauma dump
Wants to leave the Continent upon finding out about surrogates/adoption/etc.
Would help you, but not very reliably
I think the two of you could become friends, given time
Adopts a child with your help (or just takes in an army of orphans)
Jaskier
Will write a song about this
Is with Geralt when you appear, unlike Geralt, he’s extremely thrilled
This is the most interesting thing that has happened to him in years
Talks to you about everything your world has to offer
You’ve got yourself a free, financially stable friend that’ll stick with you, congrats
Triss
Probably the person that realizes the quickest how much you miss your world
She’s an ✨empath ✨
Will take care of you, and that is a threat
She’d also teach you everything about plants and herbs, so you can find work on your own
Not that you need to, because you can count on her to always help you out

Summary: You’re married off to Ser Harwin Strong by your lord father’s designs, and the prospect of a marriage consummation terrifies you.
Notes: idk man I just need more Harwin Breakmybones smut. Harwin obviously isn’t with our queen Rhae Rhae in this. Also, pretending not to know what we do abt Larys here.
Warnings: virgin!reader, reader is intimidated by Harwin, first time, reader is extremely innocent, vaginal sex, oral sex (f!receiving), Harwin loves eating punani
Masterlist | requests are OPEN! | hmu to be added to a taglist!!
Marrying his bride the day he met her was never what he wanted. Harwin didn’t consider himself a romantic, but he thought it cruel to be bound to someone you didn’t know for the rest of his life. It was more unfair to you, being a woman and forbidden from seeking out others for love.
His father had meant well with this marriage. Apparently, your father was a childhood friend, and you the oldest daughter of a great house. Though Lord Lyonel wasn’t ambitious, he was loyal to his friends, and the king, who encouraged the match. So in a whirlwind of affairs, the betrothal had been arranged by ravens, and the marriage planned.
You had married in the sept of King’s Landing earlier this day, and though Harwin had written you a letter to calm your nerves, the first time he got any impression of you was when your father led you to the altar.
He felt sorry for you. Whatever dreams you had held for the future had been crushed the moment the septon bound you in marriage. And on top of that, he wasn’t sure if you were scared of him or not. His reputation was true to his character, and next to his wide frame, almost every woman looked frail.
And now, while the wedding feast was in full swing, he saw your hands shake as you attempted to cut your food. He tried to distract himself, looking around the room and attempting to take his mind off of the fact that his lady wife seemed to find him unpleasant.
King Viserys was sitting next to his father, leaving Queen Alicent to put on an icy mask. She was better at hiding it than his wife. Perhaps because she had been in King’s Landing for longer. Princess Rhaenyra, on the other hand, was deep in conversation with Lady Laena. The two of them had grown closer since the rift between Rhaenyra and Alicent, and if Ser Harwin was not mistaken, the Queen looked almost jealous.
Prince Daemon was currently returned from his latest exile, trying to rile up Otto Hightower. Judging from the strain in the man’s jaw, the Prince was quite successful in his venture.
Still, it was his wife that seemed the tensest in the room. The new lady Strong, and yet, you seemed to be anything but. From what he had heard from his father, you liked to read and was very well educated, but beyond that only quiet. You did not ride, or hunt, or keep an army of ladies around her.
For the latter, he was grateful, but for the others… It seemed you didn’t have anything in common. Harwin was as educated as a future lord needed to be, but he preferred to train and hunt. The first time he even heard you speak outside of her vows was to his brother.
“A gift, for the bride.” He said, offering you a book. At that, your face lit up.
“Thank you, Lord Larys.”
“I hear you tried to become a Maester once?” he asked, and you blushed.
“I was five and had not yet realized the Citadel accepted neither women nor children.”
Harwin smiled to himself. It seemed that, at the very least, you had some spirit. When his brother had left, he tried to find something to talk to you about.
“So, what topics interest you?” he tried.
“History and medicine.” you replied curtly.
“Yes, I imagine Aegon’s conquest is an interesting read.” He said. You tried to suppress a smile at that, and Harwin raised a brow.
“Is it not?” he asked.
“Forgive me, my lord, but every child is told the story of his conquest over and over. The histories of Old Valyria before the Doom and Nymeria’s conquest are much more interesting, especially since so much source material has been lost.” you said.
He could tell that you weren’t asked about these things very often, the words spilling out of your mouth so quickly.
“What about you?” you asked.
“Hunting and fighting.” He replied.
“Does that not get boring after a while?”
“It is to me what reading is to you.” Harwin said. He knew you were from the Westerlands, where people spoke more eloquently, and though he was from the Riverlands and had no use for flowery words, he tried for you.
Your silence returned when dessert was served. You dreaded the bedding, and Harwin didn’t think he had seen many brides that were as terrified of it as you.

Ending 1 / Ending 2 | Masterlist | requests are OPEN!
You didn’t remember how you got here. In fact, you didn’t even remember where you had been wanting to go, or who had been with you.
All you knew was that you were stuck in a cold cell, water dripping from the ceiling between short pauses of silence and driving you close to madness. When you looked out of the small crack in the wall of your cell, you’d seen molten towers you only recognized from childhood tales.
Harrenhal.
Currently territory of the Greens, and you were a Black. The name Targaryen could neither protect nor endanger you here, and for that you were grateful, but for everything else…
They didn’t let you out, whoever your jailers were. If your standing allowed it, you would have thrown the bread they gave you back into their faces and called them cowards.
But your mother had taught you to be resourceful, and your father had never let you leave scraps on your plate.
The only way for you to gauge how much time had passed was from the crack in the wall, watching the sun rise and set, but even like that you lost count after a while. You would’ve gone insane from the cold in your bones or the slow drips from the ceiling, or maybe even the loneliness, if it hadn’t been for the expression of wrath you had seen on the face of your Queen.
Your Queen. Rhaenyra. And yet, she would not risk her life, or that of any of her dragonriders to save you. You knew that when you kneeled for her in Dragonstone, and you had remembered it ever since. Yet you couldn’t help but wish that the situation was different.
Dying like this wasn’t what you wanted. It was everything you despised – the cold, the loneliness, the harsh walls around you. Worst of all was the darkness though.
You’d grown up in your father’s workshop, surrounded by fire as the Targaryens were with their dragons. Light and heat was your childhood, your comfort, and though learning the craft had gone to your brothers, you hadn’t let that keep you from picking up every weapon your father had crafted.
A gift that had cursed you later in life, bringing you into this cell.
The first time they opened the cell door completely could’ve been days or decades after your initial imprisonment. You didn’t demand answers, didn’t fight them yet, letting them drag you out and through empty hallways.
Once, you caught the smell of soot and ash, wondering whether it was from a smithy or a dragon. Were they taking you to your execution?
You doubted it. No one but the Targaryens were executed by the Targaryens themselves.
Instead, they brought you to the tubs that were in the cellars of Harrenhal. The water was hot, steam rising up from the water of the pools, and you could swear that there had never been a lovelier sight.
The guards did not bother turning their backs, so you turned yours. You had no weapon to defend yourself, and you weren’t ready to give all of your dignity just yet. Quickly, you sank into the steaming water, beginning to scrub the smell of dirt, blood and piss from your skin.
Death clung to your skin like a scared child to her mother. You hated it.
The cell had given you more than enough time to remember, but it seemed that you could not. All you knew was that you had been sent to find the host of the Northmen, making your way through the Riverlands.
Somewhere between Dragonstone and Harrenhal, someone had killed your crew and taken you prisoner, leaving you to wake up with their blood on your hands, literally.
Your bath was cut short by a young woman shooing the guards out, before helping you out of it. She was the first one to show you a semblance of respect, handing you clean clothes and a cloth to dry yourself, but she wasn’t willing to talk to you.
Perhaps they were all mute here, terrified into silence by their Lord, the Lord Confessor of the Greens. Perhaps it was yet another way to torture you.
She was somewhat gentle when she helped you lace your dress, before she left you to your own devices again. It was strange to be clean again after such a long time. The dance had left you permanently disheveled in some way.

Dry Skin Brushing - Moisturize Your Skin And Throw Away Dry Coloration!
It can as being a lot juggling present responsibilities-family, friends, are effective. You don't need to worry about your skin care too. For anyone who is anything like most women, you just need the best body lotion for aging skin available and be done with it. I mean, do you really have to research this too?
Feel a pimple coming on and can't walk around with chalky white toothpaste on encounter? Try dabbing some of your perfume Click here for more info nivea body lotion on his or her blemish a few times through the day. The alcohol the particular perfume support dry versus eachother (plus you'll smell useful!).

Applying a scent to the heartbeat points relating to your vaseline body lotion allows it much better permeate the air. Any essential oil, when heated, will produce a richer and thicker scented. This is the same concept when applying scents to the points on your skin. Probably the most popular points are behind the ears, the neck, and the wrists.
Cosmetic companies make countless dollars each year from wrinkle cream and if we can eliminate one for the reasons for 'crow's feet' wrinkles on the eyes, we've got made a little progress.
A good anti aging treatment will contain several moisturizing list of ingredients. Some are best used with the face. Others work better on shape. Ingredients to look for in facial creams and body lotions include Functional Keratin, Coenzyme Q10 and wakame kelp.
The 100 % natural ingredients present in this particular lotion are powerful enough to penetrate deep into the skin and hydrate it from among. This is something which an ordinary cream or lotion doesn't provide. At the best, they hydrate precisely the top layer of pores and skin and so after several hours, their effect is totally gone.
Apply at night: That's when skin renews itself and is much more receptive to treatment. Simply like our evening time routines for our faces are likely to be more concentrated, think about adding a little something extra to the actual lotion at too. Maybe a serum or perhaps little jojoba or sweet almond oil will perform trick help whip the skin into form.

Haven't been baking a lot recently, but I thought I'd write up a briefish description of this year's christmas tart, because it was mostly good, and an unholy amalgamation of at least three different recipes.
first, the good: my flavors were excellent. I would definitely replicate this part. Unfortunately, textures were a bit more mixed.
first of all - crust. my own recipe, and rather unsucessful. The hubris of having made good crusts on the last few pies i've made got to me--I tried for a laminated, pie-crust style crust for the tart, which didn't work. first, i rolled it out thinner than i would for a pie, so the butter pieces were exposed on both sides, leaving holes. I then tried to fix this by adding a second layer of dough, which meant that there was too much crust total; I had trouble fitting the filling in. anyway, i'll go back to shortcrust for tarts, and keep working on pie crust.
in keeping with the theme of this particular experiment, the flavor on the crust was very good. added about a teaspoon of orange zest, which made a remarkable different. in a good way.
I had two layers of filling, as usual. I can never commit to one layer of filling for a tart, I don't know why. Perhaps because they feel less formal than pies - I don't feel the need to not experiment with pairing new flavors.
the first layer of filling was loosely adapted from this nytimes recipe. left out the rosemary, and used roughly chopped pistachios instead of sliced almonds, added some orange zest, to tie it to the crust and second layer. this filling was my favorite part of the whole dessert.
second layer of filling was the famous cranberry curd, from the same source (home for christmas for me = a chance to log back in to relative's ny times cooking subscription). flavor was good, but i doubted its setting power and added gelatin. turned out a little too stiff after a night in the fridge, next time, i'll skip the gelatin. that'll make it vegetarian, too, which is a plus if i'm going to share it. the curd has orange in it, I belive; if not, I added some. The orange in all three elements really helped it feel unified. This is the sort of thing that saves my tarts.
i think next time, i'll just do the pistachio and honey layer, though. It's good enough to be done purely on its own. maybe with some almond.
overall, room for improvement, but it's improvement i'm willing to do. Feeling hopeful about this one.

I made this mistake so you don’t have to. 🤪
OK, so I don’t like wasting my money on coffee stores every day and I need coffee every day, so that means I make most of my coffee drinks (always iced) at home. I had a semi-automatic Gaggia espresso machine. I used to grind my own beans, tamper it and do the whole barista thing at home. Then I got lazy and got myself a Nespresso Vertuo Plus machine. Then I got cheap and didn’t want to buy Nespresso pods any more and bought these reusable pod kit on Amazon with which you make your own espresso pods.
Tumblr media
It was a mistake. The seal would not hold, and coffee would seep out and after a few uses of these, my machine broke. So, I went back to basics and got myself a Moka pot, which by the way is quite cheap.
Tumblr media
I now make my espresso on the stove. And lately what I have been doing is (which I started doing after I ran out of milk and almond/cashew milk one day, although actually most of the time I drink my coffee black, meaning without milk/cream/sugar but on some days I don’t mind a creamy taste), I put some vanilla bean ice cream in the hot espresso in my glass (kind of a reverse affogato) and the ice cream thoroughly melted into a creamy texture and then added ice to make my iced coffee. I got this Bialetti brand espresso that is ground especially for moka machines, and I got it in hazelnut flavor, so my homemade iced coffee is yummy. 👌

Intermittent fasting (and walking)
So I went to a seafood restaurant in Paphos yesterday and had some fish, salad, and fries at around 4:30. I did not eat at night because I wasn't hungry. I took a good nap and slept well.
I woke up at around 5 and wasn't very hungry. I knew I had it in mind that I want to begin intermittent fasting. and went for a morning walk for around half an hour (I normally walk more but because I'm in a foreign country I didn't want to walk too far and get lost). Plus it's hot in the morning. But it was a good walk overall. And I managed to find my way back despite getting somewhat lost.
And after my walk, I wasn't hungry. But I was sleepy and took a long nap (from 8:30/9 until 2). I am exhausted and did a lot of touring in the past few days. So I needed to rest and did not go out today either.
I ate at 2. I had oatmeal with strawberries, walnuts, and dark chocolate and some coffee with almond milk and a hint of dark chocolate (I got myself used to bitter coffee). I also had a tablespoon of flax seed oil (it's a supplement I take). It's 5:19 now and I'm not hungry. But I'm going to have a sandwich for lunch. But I am full from my breakfast and I underestimated how filling the oats and coffee are. This can be treated as a full meal instead of a snack.
I usually do 2 pieces of wheat/sprouted grains with an avocado (whole if small, half if large) with some leafy greens and 2 slices gouda. Sometimes I add hemp seeds. It's very filling and I'll see if I need to adjust it calorie and portion-wise.
I'll see what I'll have for dinner and how my hunger is. Right now I'm not starving but I feel like I will need another meal before my feeding window ends. So I'll make a sandwich. For my evening snack I do Greek yogurt, blueberries, chia seeds, and dark chocolate. Dinner I go for protein (chicken or salmon), veggies/greens and a healthy carb like sweet potato fries.
So my current goals are to fast 16-8, take my supplements, and walk (I did a lot of walking 2017-2019 on my low calorie diet which explains why I lost a lot of weight). The walking consists of pacing at work, slow-walking my dogs, and brisk walking on my own (30-45 mins). And the foods I take have to be healthy and filling, thankfully my supplements helped a lot with cravings. I won't be eating diet and low calorie food replacements like I did back then. They'll be healthy and filling and consisting of foods I enjoy (dark chocolate for example).
Future goals consist of (a) making this a longterm goal and rebounding when needed and deciding how long I want to do this for (I want this to be a lifestyle), (2) to look into my calorie intake (without it being triggering), and (3) what to do when in contact with tempting foods that may be less healthy than usual. During my restrictive eating days I did not let myself eat these foods often and did it with a restrictive mindset. Now I want to do it with the perspective of eating when hungry and stopping when full. So eating a few bites of something temping (a) won't hurt my goals and (b) I get my "fix" when needed. For example, we have a pack of spicy Brazilian party mix and I had a few pieces and stopped because I was full and wanted to have enough room for my main meals. Again my supplements helped a lot with cravings, so taking those consistently will help here.
I want to lose some fat and lose the muscle bulk in my calves. My body in 2018 and 2019 was great and I hate myself for not being happy ad the time and thinking I was overweight. I would love to have that body again. And I know I achieved it through eating less and walking a lot. My eating was disordered, but now I want to focus on eating less. by eating filling foods and intermittent fasting instead of eating small meals and counting calories obsessively and eating diet and sugar/fat free versions of foods I like. And I'm going to continue walking without resorting to intense workouts because I know doing that will make me eat more (not necessarily because I'm hungry, but because I think that exercising burns whatever extra calories I eat but I am likely eating more than what I burned and overestimate my burned calories). So eating less and doing less intensive workouts will burn the extra fat and calf muscle bulk with time.
I will continue to record my experience frequently and see how it's working out for me and if I have any hiccups and challenges in the process.
Also wondering if my coffee will break my fast. I love coffee and coffee even suppresses appetite which can be good to have in the morning before work. Then at work I can eat my full meals and also when I get home. This can change my schedule where I can make my work snack and lunch when my dinner is cooking instead of the morning and may be able to walk my dogs in the morning and even do my own brisk walking. I am also more motivated to walk than I am to do my circuit training, so I won't have a challenge fitting in my walking session without being reluctant.

It adds so much depth and richness to all kinds of dishes, from cakes and cookies to ice creams and puddings. Vanilla extract is an essential ingredient for many baking projects, as it can bring out the flavors of other ingredients while adding its own unique sweetness. When looking for a good source for pure vanilla extract, I always try to find high quality extracts that are made with real vanilla beans. This makes sure that I'm getting maximum flavor without any artificial additives or preservatives. If you don't have access to pure vanilla extract, there are some substitutes available such as imitation vanilla or even extracts like almond or hazelnut. However, these don't provide the same level of intensity and complexity that true vanilla does. In short, when it comes to cooking and baking projects, adding a bit of pure vanilla extract can take your dish from ordinary to extraordinary! Its sweet aroma and flavor are unmatched by any other ingredient – making it an invaluable addition to your kitchen pantry. What Is Vanilla Extract Used For? I love the sweet, creamy aroma of vanilla extract! It adds a unique flavor to any recipe that it's used in. Vanilla extract is made from real vanilla beans and has some amazing properties and flavor profiles. Not only does it give food a delicious sweetness, but its aromatic qualities also add depth of flavor. Vanilla extract enhances flavors like chocolate, caramel, or other spices in baked goods and dessert recipes. Its subtle complexity can bring out the richness in cakes, cookies, muffins, doughnuts – you name it! Plus, if you’re trying to cut down on sugar while still wanting something sweet, adding just a hint of vanilla extract can be enough to do the trick without having an overly sugary taste. When baking with vanilla extract at home, there are lots of ways to experiment with different types of extracts for your own custom creations. Try substituting pure Tahitian bean paste for extra exotic notes or using bourbon-barrel aged Madagascar beans for more complex aromas and flavors - they're sure to make your desserts stand out! Benefits Of Vanilla Extract I absolutely love the flavor that vanilla extract adds to a recipe. Not only does it add an unmistakable aroma enhancement to any dish, but its subtle complexity really brings out all of the other flavors in the recipe. It's like having your own secret ingredient – something so simple yet so magical! Vanilla extract has been used for centuries as a flavoring agent and is still popular today because of its unique taste and ability to enhance other flavors. This can be especially useful when baking or creating complex desserts, where the addition of just a few drops of vanilla extract can bring out all the individual notes in each component. Vanilla also pairs particularly well with chocolate, adding an extra layer of richness and depth that simply cannot be achieved otherwise. When I use vanilla extract in my cooking, I'm always amazed at how much difference such a small amount makes. Whether you are making pancakes for breakfast, cookies for dessert, or anything else in between, a splash of this delicious extract will help make sure every bite is full of flavor! Tips For Using Vanilla Extract In Recipes Vanilla extract is an essential ingredient in many recipes. It adds subtle flavors that can enhance sweetness, create depth and add complexity to any dish. With a few tips, you can make the most of this versatile flavor enhancer when cooking. First off, it's important to be aware of the different types of vanilla extract available and how they affect a recipe. Vanilla beans are best for adding strong flavor and aroma, while pure or artificial extracts provide more subtle flavor profiles with less intensity. Once you've determined which type of extract will work best for your recipe, it's time to think about quantity. A good rule of thumb is to use one teaspoon per serving unless otherwise specified by the recipe; however, depending on what kind of baking or cooking you're doing, more may be needed for optimal results. When using vanilla extract in cooked dishes such as custards or puddings, keep in mind that heat destroys both its flavor and aroma so try not to cook it too long or at high temperatures. For added texture and richness, consider combining multiple forms such as scraping real vanilla bean pods into cream-based desserts or stirring ground vanilla beans into batters before baking. The combination of these elements creates complex layers of sweet vanilla deliciousness! Creative Ideas For Using Vanilla Extract I love baking with vanilla extract; it adds an unmistakable flavor that can really elevate a recipe. But I've also realized there are lots of other ways to use this fantastic ingredient beyond the traditional recipes! From pairing it with other flavors like chocolate and almond, to substituting for extracts in desserts and drinks, vanilla is incredibly versatile. One way I like to pair different extracts together is by using one teaspoon of each extract. For example, if I'm making a cake or muffin batter, I'll add 1 teaspoon of both almond and vanilla extract, which creates a delicious combination of sweets and nuts. Another favorite combination is orange and raspberry – a delightful blast of citrusy sweetness! Of course you don't have to limit yourself to just two extracts either; feel free to experiment with any combinations you like. If you find yourself out of vanilla extract but need some flavor boost in your recipe, try adding ¼ teaspoon of ground nutmeg or cinnamon instead - these spices have commonly been used as substitutes for vanilla extract over the years. You could even add a bit of lemon zest for more citrus notes! The possibilities are endless when it comes to experimenting with new flavors in the kitchen. Frequently Asked Questions How Much Vanilla Extract Should Be Used In A Recipe? When it comes to baking, vanilla extract is essential for adding flavor and aroma. Generally speaking, the amount of vanilla you should use in a recipe depends on what type of dessert you're making and your own personal preference. For most baked goods, one teaspoon of pure or imitation vanilla extract will suffice. However, if you want an extra bold flavor, consider using two teaspoons instead. You can also substitute other varieties such as Mexican vanilla extract or bourbon-flavored vanilla extract to add some depth and uniqueness to your recipe. Is Vanilla Extract Vegan-Friendly? Yes, vanilla extract is vegan-friendly! It is made from a combination of organic and non-dairy sources such as alcohol and water. As long as you buy pure vanilla extract that doesn't contain any animal ingredients, it's perfect for vegans to use in their recipes. Plus, because of its natural sweetness, it can be used as an alternative to sugar or other sweeteners, making baking vegan treats even easier. How Long Does Vanilla Extract Last? Storing vanilla extract properly is key to make sure it lasts as long as possible. It should always be stored in an air-tight container, away from direct light and heat sources. Vanilla extract generally has a shelf life of around two to four years if stored correctly, so it's important to keep track of when you open the bottle! To maximize its lifespan, also make sure that your spoon or measuring utensil isn't touching the liquid while using it. Keeping these tips in mind will ensure your vanilla extract remains fresh and flavorful for as long as possible! Are There Any Substitutes For Vanilla Extract? Yes, there are great homemade substitutes for vanilla extract that you can use in your recipes. If you don't have any store-bought extract on hand, try using a combination of equal parts ground cinnamon and nutmeg, or two teaspoons of brandy and one teaspoon of almond extract. You could also steep some fresh chopped vanilla beans in alcohol such as vodka or whiskey to make your own pure vanilla extract at home. There may be slight flavor differences between the homemade versions and real vanilla extract, but they will still work well enough in most recipes! What Is The Difference Between Pure And Imitation Vanilla Extract? When it comes to baking, vanilla extract is a classic and essential ingredient. But there’s more than one type of vanilla extract available – pure and imitation. Imitation vanilla usually contains artificial flavoring derived from wood byproducts, while pure vanilla extract is made with real ground-up vanilla beans that give the flavor profile its signature taste. Pure vanilla may cost more but it will provide your baked goods with an intense depth of flavor that you won't get from imitation extracts. Conclusion In conclusion, vanilla extract is an essential ingredient in many recipes. It adds depth and complexity of flavor to baking and desserts that can't be achieved with any other ingredients. Knowing how much to use, the difference between pure and imitation extracts, as well as potential substitutes for vegan-friendly versions are all important considerations when using this versatile flavoring agent. Ultimately, having a bottle of quality vanilla extract on hand is always beneficial for creating delicious treats! Baden-Arabian Yoghurt-cake?
Tumblr media
Saudi-inspired coffee dessert with German honey & dates.
Don’t you just hate it when you splurge on cherries and have left over cream cheese, then you plan to make hotcakes to eat them with but instead find black forest honey shipped from Saudi Arabia and crave a spicy coffee Middle Eastern-style cheesecake you aren’t prepared for instead? Yeah, me too. Plus side, either way you get to purchase then eat vanilla-macadamia ice cream to have with it.
Get cream cheese to room temperature first.
 Base (8” baking dish)
-          60g plain flour
-          64g rough blitzed walnuts and black oats. Was about half-half.
-          34g salted spreadable butter
Mix the butter in by hand, roll into breadcrumby texture.
-          Add around or sightly under well-beaten half of a mixture of 1 egg, 2 tbsp very cold milk, 1tsp vanilla. Set rest aside for later.
-          1 tbsp strong instant espresso powder and 3 tablespoon golden raisins: Blitz into a delicious and fragrant paste.
Mix into the rest of dough. Roll out and press into smaller circular baking dish. It should go about an inch up the sides
-          Blink bake at 170C for ten minutes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Body
5 apricots, 6 (Seeberger, very mild flavour) dates
1 small orange of zest
2.5 tbsp Langnese Black Forest Honey *******
3 Star anise (strong, giant Indian), 2 cloves (very strong), 3 tbsp cinnamon (brand not strong), 1 tsp nutmeg
2 squares 100% dark chocolate, handful raisins
115g Cream cheese, 60g yogurt
¼ cup wholemeal flour, bak-pow-sod, 40g blitzed coated almonds
½ egg (from earlier with milk n vanilla) + 1 yolk
Tumblr media
5 fresh and ideally slightly over-ripe apricots with 6 German (really?) dates. Chop roughly. Chernobyl in a microwaveable mug for 3+ mins until reduced and gooey. Stir quickly to cool and be rid of humidity, add finely or even a bit roughly ground spice mix of:
-          2 cloves, 2-3 large star anise, cinnamon and nutmeg to taste, leftover or additional raisin-coffee paste. It’ll be in the blender anyway.
½ pack Philadelphia cream cheese, ~115g
Quick hand-blend the room temp. cheese then add:
40g in ‘shell’ rough blitzed almonds
Around a quarter cup of superfine whole(grain?) flour. Might I add here, this idiot forgot baking soda and powder in the flour and added in at the very last step, which explains the surface texture. I don’t know what measurements to actually use but let us approximate: ½ tsp powder, 1 tsp soda.
2.5 tbsp or more if you cannot resist because it is utterly incredible, Langnese Black Forest honey
Blend lightly again
Add 60g sugar free and fat free yogurt. Mix lightly
Add the orange zest, spiced date & apricot goo – hopefully it has cooled a bit
Lastly add to the residual egg mix from earlier 1 more yolk, beat properly. Pour half at a time into the mixture and incorporate quickly at each.
Final touch as you pre-heat oven t 180C:
Some rough chopped golden raisins (small handful?) and 2 squares of 100% dark chocolate. It will melt slightly so stir in juuust as you’re about to pour the batter into the cake tin.
Bake for around 35 minutes at 180C.
Not any longer because the cookie base will burn.
Cool then chill in fridge over night.
Tumblr media
So for mine, the sides rose fast and cracked, then steadily the centre, then a slow return to flatness. Could therefore reduce raising agents but I kind of liked it. very visual. However less would mean a smoother rise, which is not necessary because the yogurt makes it a lovely light, moist cake.
Tumblr media
Here, the specimen has been opened to obtain clear view of flesh.
Overall, the quality of ingredients matters most here: The honey, anise, apricots, and especially type of date used. Would need to make a few adjustments to flavour if the dates for example were Ajwa or even Chinese red. Then the strong spices and black honey would not work well.
Why do we even use sugar when all of this tastes and is better…
Had with Stemilt sweet cherries and Farggi Vainilla con nueces de macadamia ice cream – of course this is with sugar, oopsie.
Reminder to try making these another time:

Pistachio and White Chocolate Vegan Cookies
Tumblr media
These vegan white chocolate and pistachio cookies were delicious. It’s one of those vegan recipes that have good texture, smooth, sweet, and nutty flavour of the white chocolate and pistachio. I highly recommend these to anyone who’s looking for delicious vegan treats!
My family has been making these white chocolate and pistachio cookies for generations. Now, I’m bringing them to you with my vegan spin as a vegan recipe.
Who doesn’t love a little bit of nutty goodness every now and then?
As a young kid, I always loved coming home from school to fresh biscuits. It wasn’t something we had daily but often mum would whip up a batch of home-made Italian biscuits. I guess now, as an adult, home-made biscuits take me back to that happy, safe place.
Prep time: 15 minutes Cook time: 15 minutes Total time: 30 minutes Serves: Makes approx 20 biscuits!
Ingredients
1 ½ cups almond meal - a great substitute in vegan baking and added nutrients
1 cup plain gluten-free flour
2 flax eggs - to make mix tablespoons flax and 6 of water. Works as an egg substitue.
1/3 cup melted coconut oil- a great alternative to butter if cooking vegan food
3 tablespoons peanut butter - instead of using butter try a nut butter - you an use any nut butter in this recipe
Pinch salt - balances the sweetness
½ cup pistachio nuts - they add so much flavour and texture
½ cup white chocolate chips - there are a few vegan options around. if not vegan sub out for any diary chocolate
2 tablespoons maple syrup - provides a lovely caramel flavour and removes the need for refined sugars
¾ cup coconut sugar - a wonderful alternative to refined sugars
Method
Preheat oven at 180 degrees and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
Make the flax eggs by mixing 2 tablespoons of flax meal with t tablespoons. Stir well and let sit until it thickens
Once thickened add to the flax egg the coconut oil, peanut butter, coconut sugar, salt, and maple syrup
Mix well together until no lumps remain.
Add the almond meal and flour to form a cookie dough
Then add the nuts and chocolate chips and mix in well
Form small round shape biscuits
Bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
Allow cooling before serving and enjoy!
Equipment you Need
Large mixing bowl
Baking tray
Baking Paper or silicone mat
Mixing spoon
Measuring Cups
Cooling rack
So let’s chat about what’s in the biscuits and why I prefer to use ingredients closer to their whole form.
First up is coconut sugar. Coconut sugar is made from the sap of coconut trees and it has a lower glycemic index (GI) than white sugar or brown sugar. This means it won’t spike your blood glucose levels as much as other types of sugar and therefore won’t cause spikes in energy levels (or mood swings) after eating these delicious vegan treats!
Coconut sugar also contains iron, calcium, zinc, and potassium which are essential for cell function and growth. It also contains more vitamins than regular sugar does (vitamin C, B6).
These cookies are gluten-free as well! The flour replacement we use is an almond flour; it adds a great nutty flavour to these cookies which complements the pistachio flavour perfectly! Almonds are low in carbs and high in protein and fibre. Both protein and fibre are known to increase feelings of fullness. That can help you eat fewer calories.
Plus, swapping out butter for peanut butter makes them vegan too! Peanut butter contains protein, monounsaturated fats, fibre, and Vitamin E. This makes it a great alternative to butter or margarine in these cookies, as it has similar binding properties and they will hold together well.
You can also make this recipe with dark chocolate and macadamia nuts, or substitute any other kind of nut. And if you want to add some fruit flavour, try adding sultanas or cranberries.

-Blake and Ren will sometimes take naps together
--not cuddling, just occupying the same general space
--wake them up at your own risk

Stalker Nagito Komaeda x Milf!Reader
this was requested via my twitter:
“Hey! i’ve seen your works and I’m in love. Can I request smut where a stalker Nagito Komaeda becomes obsessed with a milf reader who moves into the neighborhood who’s like a dom in bed and ya know just large bust and taller than him. Thank youuu🤍”
a/n: ofc. but I have my own idea of a dom which i’ll use involving certain things (heed warnings)
warnings: he is so obviously a virgin in this, degradation, slight masochism, asphyxiation, spit, also Nagito calls the reader mommy (side note: nagito is in his early 20s in this, he lives alone. age of reader isn’t specified BUT I say she’s in her late 20s/early 30s)
• • •
It was a bright day...which Nagito despised. It was summer. He hated the sun, hated the mosquitoes, and the unnecessary humidity. It was days like these he wishes he was back at his university dorm. The A/C, the tall tree covering his window and blocking the sun...it was perfect. Hell, he didn’t even hate classes. Yet, he couldn’t live in the dorms forever. When it came time to buy a home, he stupidly did so in fall, moved in during the winter.
Well, no shit the home seemed perfect then. It wasn’t fucking summer. His A/C decided to break, his windows has a great view of the sun, and most of his friends were out of town (all except Hajime, but Hajime is fucking boring and a bummer). Nagito sat on his couch, watching reruns of old tv shows. He took a sip from his nearby glass (cold water), suddenly hearing sounds of what appeared to be a loading van. He looked outside his window.
A moving van?
Right, that one old man who lived there passed away. Freak accident, by the way. Oh well, may he rest in peace. Meanwhile, Nagito was being himself and trying to see who it was. Pretty much, the dude was being nosy. He saw another car pull up. That must’ve been the family’s car. Out jumped 3 kids, what appeared to be 2 girls and 1 boy. An adult stepped out. Nagito decided he’d get a better look at the situation. He put on his shirt, black jeans, and his green hood.
He was “going for a walk”.
Without being noticed, he made his way to the other side of the street. It was a woman, she was taking boxes out of the truck. The minute Nagito saw her it was if he was stricken by Cupid’s arrow. She was tall and beautiful. Her skin complimented her hair and her legs, he couldn’t take his eyes off them. Her breasts...he needed to stop—
“Hi!”
She was in front of him, a warm and inviting smile on her face. “H-Hi,” he muttered. She didn’t hear him well, so it helped that he waved. “I’m new in the neighborhood. We just moved in,” she added, putting the box down. She stuck her hand out, going for a handshake. He shook her hand, her warm hand against his cold ones. Why are his hands always cold? “I see,” he responded, getting his shit together,“I’m Nagito Komaeda. I live across the street”. She introduced herself and complimented his house.
“What a lovely home. I hope the neighborhood is just as lovely”
“It should be. It’s pretty quiet. There’s not many families here. Say, can I help you pack?”
“You’re too sweet! I’d really appreciate it”
He helped take all the boxes in her home, helping load a couch too, and help with other large objects. They finished in 9 hours, taking a majority of the day. “Thanks for helping out, Nagito”. She made a lemonade, handing him a glass.
“Don’t mention it! Also, thank you”
One of the kids ran in the living room where they sat on the couch. He gasped when he saw Nagito. “Mommy! That man looks dead!!!”. Nagito smiled, but his mom was not amused. “Michael! Apologize..”. The kid kept smiling and said,“Sorry!”. He ran to another room. “I’m so sorry,” she muttered. Nagito shook his head.
“Hey, I’m rather malnourished”
“Ha. On an unrelated topic, are you hungry? I could make us something”
“Oh, I shouldn’t linger any longer. I wouldn’t want to disturb your husband”
She laughed. “I know you mean no harm, but I’m not married,” she added. “Oh,” Nagito muttered,“I’m sorry, I really didn’t mean it in any way”. She shook her head and reassured him it was fine. “Sit, Nagito,” she pulled out a chair,“I’m not letting you refuse having dinner with us. Especially since you were such help”. She rubbed his back before heading back into the kitchen to begin cooking.
She made him a bowl of pasta, adding chicken on the side. Nagito was quite happy. He hadn’t eaten a good meal in so long. Her kids didn’t eat at the table, but on the counter. Meanwhile, she ate with Nagito. Just as Nagito thought he couldn’t grow fonder of her, he did just that. All she did was let him talk about himself.
“Jesus, I’m sorry about your parents? How are you keeping yourself afloat with university and expenses?”
“Academic scholarships”
“Wow, you’re such a smart boy”
The way she phrased it made him flustered. “Thank you for the meal, ma’am,” he muttered,“I haven’t eaten like this in who knows how long”. She smiled tenderly, picking up his empty plate. “Seconds?”. He shook his head.
“No, thank you. I’m already so full”
“I’m glad. You know, there’s always a meal for you in store if you can do me a favor”
“What’s that?”
“My oldest daughter has her final test this week. You think you can help her study? I’ll make you a nice, warm meal every time you come over”
Nagito thought about it. He would also have time around her. Plus, she wasn’t a bad cook. “Of course, I look forward to it,” he told her. “Lovely”. He got up and excused himself to go home. “It was nice having you over, Nagito,” she said softly. He could tell she was getting sleepy. When people are tired, Nagito has noticed that their tone is rather sheepish. She walked him to the door, ruffling his hair playfully and he blushed. “Goodnight, neighbor”.
“Goodnight, you”
Before he left, she stopped him and handed him a paper: (xxx) xxx-xxxx ♡
“Call me when you get home so I have your number saved. Then, I can call you when my daughter, Vanessa, needs help. Take care, okay?”
He nodded.
She closed the door, his thoughts racing on his way home. He picked up some things about her, things she didn’t even tell him. He went home and opened a notebook, writing all of it down. He called her and she answered, her voice as sweet as when he left (only sleepier). “Hello?”. His breath was heavy without realizing it as he spoke. “H-Hey, you told me to call you,” he breathed,“It’s Nagito...Komaeda”
“Oh, hey, angel! I’m not interrupting anything am I?”
“What? No, it’s all good— why’d you think so?”
“You sound like you need to catch your breath, but anyway, thanks for calling me. I’ve saved your number now”
“Oh, great! Well, if that’s all, I’ll let you go to bed now”
“It was. Goodnight, Nagito”
“G-Goodnight”
He hung up, flustered more than ever as he continued to jot down his thoughts on paper. The next day, he woke up at 6am to wait in his car. He knew what he was doing was wrong, but he couldn’t help it. At around 7:41am, his front neighbor and kids headed for their car. Nagito, who had taken a light nap in the driver’s seat, was awoken by the car starting. He waited for the car to drive away just slightly past his house to start his own car, slowly tailing behind her.
He dropped her kids off at the nearby elementary. She got off, kissed them on their forehead (all minus the eldest, who walked swiftly through the gates). Seeing how she cared for them made Nagito feel bad, but all he did was brush that feeling off. Next, he followed her through her daily. As he did, his notes from last night echoed through his mind, adding new detail.
“She works at an office not everyday She doesn’t have allergies but is sensitive to dust Red seems to be her favorite color but always in a darker shade Her daughter is around 10 years old She isn’t vegan but enjoys almond milk Maybe has an issues with abandonment but I can’t assume that either She buys many apples but not the same amount of bananas at the store so maybe she only eats the bananas—”
Just more to add to his notebook.
He got home before she did, writing down what he had learned. His phone rang about an hour later of him getting home. He picked it up,“Hello?”. “Nagito, hi!”. It was her. He started having a mini-panic attack, because why would she be calling him? “H-Hey, how are you?”
“I’m doing alright. I was wondering if you could come over and tutor Vanessa”
Oh, thank god.
“Yes, of course. I’ll be down there right now”
“Great. See you then!”
He was relieved, heading to her home happily. He knocked on the door. When she opened it, she did so with the same warm smile as yesterday. “Thank you for coming over,” she said,“She’s in her room”. Nagito nodded, freezing when she grabbed his hand and took him to the room. Her touch was so soft, noted. They got to the room, where a girl was reading a book on a desk. “Nessa?”. The girl turned around.
“Nagito is going to be here for a few hours to help you out with homework and studying. He’s really smart, so pay attention and be respectful”
“Okay, mom”
She nodded, squeezing Nagito’s shoulder before leaving. Nagito approached the girl, she took her things out. Before he could speak, she stopped him. “Please don’t call me ‘Nessa’,” she whispered,“It’s bad enough my mom does, but not you, Please”.
“Don’t worry. I wasn’t planning on referring to you at all”
“Bastard”
“Nessa”
“I guess I walked right into that one”
Nagito laughed, grabbing a chair and sitting next to her. Her work wasn’t what he expected. Is this what they’re teaching kids now? He could’ve sworn he hadn’t seen this type of stuff until he hit middle school. It wasn’t anything he couldn’t do, but damn. All in all, tutoring went well. Vanessa actually learned something today. “Good job!,” he said. “Thank you,” she smiled and hugged him,“I felt so stupid”.
“Hey, its okay not to understand things”
Her mom walked in. “Dinner’s ready”. Vanessa got up and went to the kitchen. “How’d it go?,” she asked Nagito. “Went well, she gets the math now,” he answered. She smiled, thanking him for his help and asking him to join them for dinner. He’d be foolish not to, so he accepted the invite.
Fish tacos were served tonight with rice and beans, another lemonade made. It was different than anything Nagito had ever had, but that doesn’t equate to bad. He actually enjoyed the meal. The kids sat at the main table today, much more respectful than yesterday. “Michael how was school?”. He put a thumbs up, getting back to eating. “And Adrianna?”. She looked up from her meal and shrugged. “What’s wrong?”.
“I’m tired, but class was okay”
“Oh, okay. When you’re done, just take a quick shower and get to bed”
“Thanks”
Nagito thought it was endearing. Seeing how understanding and loving she was, it was refreshing. The kids all eventually left, Nagito finishing his meal. “Did you like it?”. He looked at her, nodding. “Great! Seconds?”.
“Full again. I don’t usually eat, but your food is always so good”
“Oh, you’re just saying things...”
“No, really! Thank you”
He said his goodbyes to the family, walking back home. It was as if he was falling for this woman more and more everyday. He went to sleep, this time dreaming of her. He never dreams, but this time he dreamt she was on her knees for him. Then, nothing else. It was as if his dream teased him.
The next morning, he woke up to some knocking on the door. He looked at the time. 8:23am. He put on a pair of jeans and his shirt, walking to his door. He opened it and there she stood, wearing a black dress and red heels. He assumed she had work and needed a favor before going. “Good morning,” he said.
“Were you following me yesterday?”
Shit.
“I, uh...,” he didn’t know what to answer. He was indeed following her yesterday. He also liked her, so if he straight up said that he was to following her, it’d ruin things. His face was glowing a shade of pink to a slight red as he thought of the right answer. He was still stumbling over his words. “I think it’s kinda cute,” she added. The fuck? “Huh?”. She pushed him inside the house, closing and locking the door behind him. “When a boy follows someone around, it’s because he wants something,” she added, but her tone was so sultry,“Well, Nagito—”. She pushed him onto the couch, leaning in front of him with her hands on his chest.
“—What do you want?”
None of what was happening felt real. Nagito couldn’t find the words to express what exactly he wanted. This was the first time he’d ever been in a situation like this, it wasn’t a bad one either. He began to panic when she straddled him. “Could it be that you wanted me?,” she asked. He frantically nodded and she laughed as she locked her lips with his. He gasped against her lips, kissing back. She slowly trailed her kisses down to his neck, cupping his jaw while grinding on his lap. Nagito moaned, his shaky hands grabbing her ass. She grabbed his hands and put them away from her. “It’s cute that you’re getting this carried away”.
“I’m sorry”
“No time to apologize. Get on your knees for mommy”
Nagito was about to lose his mind when she said that, but he obeyed. Her presence was domineering as he stood on his knees against his carpeted floor. She spread her legs, noticing Nagito desperately trying to get a look. Her red heel stopped him, stepping on his head lightly. “Am I teasing you?,” she asked,“It’s okay to be honest”.
“Y-You are, but its okay. I want to be teased by you”
“You’re adorable,” she took her heel off his head,“Let’s go to your room”.
He practically ran to his bed. He sat and waited patiently. She entered the room, heading to his bed. She began to take off his shirt, admiring his frame. She then unbuckled his belt and unzipped his jeans. He kicked them off and sat down. She sat next to him. “Give me your hands”. She held them, frowning slightly. “Boo, they’re so cold,” she teased,“I’ll warm them up for you”. Carefully, she grabbed his left hand, putting his middle and ring finger in her mouth. She licked to his fingertips, leaving him tense and speechless. She stopped and smiled at him.
“This is your first time, isn’t it?”
He nodded shyly. “Don’t be shy,” she said,“I’m going to guide you, but I’m also going to have my fun”. He gulped, nodded. She stood up and removed her dress. She wore a lacy black bra and panties. She brought his hands to her breasts, allowing him to fondle them. They were huge in his hands. “You like them, baby?”. “Y-Yes,” he muttered,“Can you, uh, take....the bra off?”. He was ashamed when asking, he felt desperate. She smiled and nodded, unhooking it and allowing the bra to fall to the ground. He gasped at the sight of her tits, grabbing them. She straddled him.
“Do you know what to do with them?”
He nodded, rubbing one and sucking the other. She moaned sweetly, grinding on his lap. He popped his mouth off them. That was when she took the opportunity to knock him onto the bed. She began to make out with him, shoving his tongue down her throat. They lay sideways. Her hand was on his neck, slightly choking him. He couldn’t resist but try to grind on her lap. She laughed. “Look at you,” she mocked,“Humping my leg like a desperate little puppy”. She didn’t let him speak, sitting up and pushing him back down. “I’m going to give you what you want,” she whispered in his ear,“Take your cock out”.
He was nervous as he did, hands shaky. She blushed a bit at his size. “It’s so big,” she said, straddling him,“I’m going to have my way with it”. “Please, do what you want to me,” he begged,“Abuse me, please”. She didn’t speak, sinking down on it. Nagito gasped, she was extremely wet. She began to bring her hips up and land straight down on it, repeatedly. She put her hands around his throat, now being rougher. Nagito gasped for air, grabbing her hands.
That was a mistake.
“Hands down,” she ordered, striking him across the face. “Sorr-”. He was slapped once again. “Only speak when you’re spoken to”. He nodded as his stomach began to cave in. His cock twitched each time she slapped him, making her moan. She leaned forward, capturing his earlobe between her teeth. He winced, his hands tangling in the sheets. He felt as though his entire body was blushing.
“You’re so sensitive there”
She teased him, kissing the skin and nibbling. His hips involuntarily snapped upward, making her whine. “You’re so desperate, baby,” she laughed,“it’s so cute”. He could feel her warmth running along his cock. He bit into his hand, trying to stop himself from cumming inside her. It worked, but she didn’t like him doing that. She grabbed his hands and kissed them.
“Don’t hurt yourself, put them right here”
She placed them on her boobs. He watched them bounce up and down, grabbing them gently. His rather large hands seemed small on her tits. He was extremely flushed. He took them off her and placed them on her hips. “Open your mouth”. He lay back more and did as he was told. She leaned forward, grabbing his jaw again as she spit into it and kissed him. He moaned when she did, his urges getting the best to him and thrusting upward. He hit her cervix every time, causing her to produce the sweetest and sluttiest of moans. Her walls tightened around him and now he was whining. “Are you gonna cum, honeybun?,” she asked.
“Y-Yes..”
“Where do you wanna cum?”
“I wanna cum...everywhere. I want it. I want it so bad. I wanna cum inside and on your tits, on your ass, y-your face..mouth. Please let me cum, mommy”
She motivated him, riding him harder. “Come on, Nagito,” she whispered,“Cum for mommy. Cum all the way inside her”. He lost his mind after that, groaning as he shot his load(s) inside her. He was still inside her as he tried catching his breath. She rubbed his chest, shushing him. “Good boy, you did so well,” she cooed,“Such a good boy.” He was covering his face, embarrassed and still hard. “I wasn’t too rough, was I?,” she asked. He shook his head, thinking,“Not rough enough”. He whined when she got off, revealing he was still erect. She noticed.
“You wanna go again, baby? Kids don’t leave school till 2:30. We have time for an extra fuck”
“C-Can I?”
“Yes, dummy”
She let Nagito choose how to fuck her. He wanted missionary, mostly because he craved intimacy and she did not disappoint. She kissed and praised him, telling him he was good. She held onto him the whole time and cuddled him afterwards. Nagito felt so special, he felt loved. “I can come over when I don’t have work,” she said,“Would you like that?”.
“I’d love that actually”
“You make me happy, Nagito. I could stay here and cuddle all day”
“I feel so lucky”
He yawned, looking at the clock. “Its 10,” he told her. She nuzzled his chest, humming. “Mmmm, let’s take a small nap,” she whispered,“Okay?”. “Okay”. He kissed the top of her head and held her to him, slowly joining her in slumber.

Boba Tea Dates (Part 2)
Ayaka, Kazuha, Yoimiya, Raiden Shogun, Kujou Sara, Yae Miko, Xinyan
None: Just come fluff
Summary: You go on cute dates with the Genshin characters from Inazuma
After writing for the first few characters, I decided to write this for the rest of Inazuma's characters and other characters that were featured in Inazuma (Xinyan deserves some love too! Plus I headcanon she'd be a huge fan of chili mango flavors)
Part 1 here!
Tumblr media
Ayaka:
Ayaka is really shy at first when you first go out on a boba date together. She's familiar with boba tea because her brother loves it and often brings her some or has her try his own recipes, and of course Thoma often makes her her own cup of boba tea whenever he makes some for Ayato, but she's still shy about telling you how much she knows. But once you encourage her, asking her what flavor she thinks you should try, she'll open up about all of the unique flavor combinations she's tried.
Her favorite flavors of milk and fruit teas are ones that use ingredients from overseas. Though most may find the flavor from a Qingxin flower a little bitter, Ayaka loves the flavor when added to her teas. She also loves fruit teas that use Valberries and especially flavors that add Jueyun chilis. The traveler once introduced her to Xinyan while Xinyan was visiting Inazuma, who suggested using a combination of mango and Jueyun chili powder. This became a favorite of hers ever since.
A lot of the time, your boba tea dates with Ayaka will be either hanging out at the Yashiro Commission headquarters, strolling the grounds, or taking a walk through Inazuma City to run some simple errands. Either way, Ayaka is incredibly happy to be spending the time with you.
Kazuha:
For Kazuha, he loves more earthy and floral flavors. You'll often see him drinking a lavendar, rose or jasmine milk teas. He's not a fan of overly sweet drinks, but rather prefers the tastes that make him feel more connected to nature.
He'll often take you to sit underneath a beautiful Sakura tree, sipping on your milk tea quietly as you listen to the sounds of nature together. If he's feeling particularly in a talkative mood, Kazuha will occasionally recite lines of poetry he thinks of in the moment. Usually these lines will be about the beauty of the nature around you, and how happy and calm he feels in your presence.
Any time he's about to set sail on Beidou's ship, he'll make sure to take a glass of boba tea to go with him, a little reminder of your cute dates to get him through your time apart.
Yoimiya
Since milk doesn't sit will in her stomach, Yoimiya avoids milk teas like the plague, unless she can get them made with coconut milk or almond milk. Since you can never be too sure, she almost always sticks to fruit teas, opting for some of the most exciting flavors. Citrusy fruits like lemon or orange are particular favorites of hers, matching her vivid personality.
Yoimiya's favorite time to get boba with you is during festivals. You'll walk along the stalls drinking boba, buying more snacks than your hands can handle carrying, and by the end of the evening, you'll go to Yoimiya's favorite firework-watching spot to polish off your snacks and boba by the time the fireworks start, chatting happily away. Of course, you often have to make sure Yoimiya doesn't get too wrapped up in chatting, because if she doesn't finish her boba before the start of the fireworks show, it'll often go to waste since she's usually too engrossed in the fireworks to snack or take drinks.
Raiden Shogun
Boba tea was one of the many things that had come about during Ei's long time in her Plane of Euthymia. It was as unfamiliar to her as the concept of Dango Milk. Though not as fond of boba tea as she was danogo milk, Ei did really enjoy going out for boba tea with you.
Ei's favorite boba drinks were definitely the more dessert-style drinks. Smoothies and shakes particularly. Combining ice cream, sweet flavors and the tapioca pearls? Ei couldn't think of a better combination for the drink (short from adding boba to dango milk potentially).
You'll often spend your boba dates at Tenshukaku, sprawled out on the floor while reading light novels together, or sitting at the Sacred Sakura tree doing the same. If she's feeling particularly tired from her duties as the Raiden Shogun, or had a long day, she'll ask you shyly to read a novel to her, lost in the sound of your voice. In a rare moment of complete contentment, Ei may even fall asleep resting on your shoulder or legs. Though of course, if you ever told anyone about it, she'd probably have to use the Musou no Hitotachi on you.
Kujou Sara
When you first invited Kujou Sara on a date for boba tea, she was more than a little confused. Sara typically avoids sweet things, so boba tea was generally not something she indulged in. The only times you're generally able to get her to go on boba tea dates with you are times when she has the afternoon off, which is fairly rare. Once she discovered some milk teas that were less sweet, like an original black milk tea, she was more likely to take the occasional boba tea date with you. Naturally, the original black milk tea, unsweetened, is the drink of her choice usually.
Once, after a lot of begging and persuading, you were able to get Kujou Sara to take a sip of your brown sugar milk tea. Sara would never admit it, but you could see the way her golden eyes lit up at the exquisite, deliciously sweet flavor that she'd normally never indulge herself in.
Some of the time, when Sara has some spare time in the afternoon to be with you, she'll simply tag along for the dates without getting anything for herself. She's happy to see you happy, whether that be with boba or anything else.
Yae Miko
Being the Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine, and running the Yae Publishing House, Yae Miko didn't often have time to go on extravagant dates, so boba dates with her were a fairly common occurrence, seeing as that was mostly what she had time for during the day.
Yae Miko is even more happy when you bring her the boba directly so that the two of you could sit under the Sacred Sakura Tree together or somewhere near Yae Publishing House together. She'll happily tell you some of her favorite stories from previous decades, recounting some of the more amazing things in Inazuma, or stories from before her time as Guuji of the Shrine. Or, if you're at the Yae Publishing House and a new light novel has recently interested her, she'll likely read it to you, asking for your thoughts and feedback on the novels as she does.
Xinyan
Boba tea is slightly less common throughout Liyue, so Xinyan was incredibly excited to try something new in Inazuma. Having packed some Jueyun Chilis, Xinyan was the one to create the chili mango flavor at the local boba shops. Depending on how popular Xinyan became in certain areas, many of the shops may have named the drink after her music.
Still, whenever Xinyan wasn't actively performing in Liyue, she was often found getting boba with you, drinking her specialty chilli mango flavor
Whenever you went on boba dates, you'd find a place to relax out in the open, away from many others. Xinyan would play you whatever song she'd written most recently. Whenever she could get into the Mystic Omyou Chamber, she'd bring you to it, performing for Shiki Taishou and playing music for the three of you for an exciting afternoon.

Supplements working + new spongy dental floss
Another reason why I think my supplements have been so helpful -- I got sick on Thursday, was sick in bed on Friday with flu symptoms, recovered well on Saturday but still have coughing, congestion, and lightheaded, and on Sunday I woke up just fine with a slight cough, some minor congestion and a minor scratchy throat. So this is promising.
I have also been dealing with a lot less cravings. I had churros with caramel and chocolate sauce a few days ago for my dad's birthday when we went out. (I still had salmon and veggies and potatoes for dinner which was on the healthier side as opposed to pizza, chicken tenders or fries). I felt like ordering a mint Java Chip from Starbucks today (t was really good and I got the small size without whipped cream and with almond milk). My supplements helped me have less cravings for junk and sugar. This doesn't mean I'll deprive myself, but it just means I don't want it as much. This gives me the opportunity to eat a lot better which leaves me feeling healthier and more disciplined! Discipline is something I want to work on and this will take some time and learning, but it is one great step ahead in the right direction.
I decided to order some new floss out of curiosity/interest and as per the recommendation of a hygienist I spoke to. It's from the brand Cocofloss and it makes thick woven blue floss that is infused with coconut oil and comes in different flavors. The floss itself isn't smooth and silky, it's thick and spongy which helps clean stubborn plaque and tartar off and it can fit inside the tiny holes of the teeth where debris can get caught (teeth are not smooth, they are porous and textured on a microscopic level). Smooth and gliding floss won't be as effective if at all in cleaning that way because it is flat and frictionless. The blue color is nice because it helps you see the plaque and tartar residue that comes off when flossing, which proves that it is working well in removing them. And the coconut oil is a nice added touch for antimicrobial benefits (ofen used in ol pulling). Overall it is a highly rated floss and it seems to clean very well. Only downside is the price of course. But it costs less than dental work. Other flosses like Oral B Glide are too smooth and slippery to effectively clean the teeth. If you have a dirty dish that has stubborn spots and residue, a textured cloth will clearly be more effective at cleaning that instead of a plastic bag. I'll use this floss along with my Sonicare and xylitol toothpaste and tongue scraper (plus my D3, K2, and magnesium supplements) to keep my teeth healthy.

How Important Is Vanilla Extract In A Recipe
Tumblr media
As a baker, I'm sure you've heard about vanilla extract. But do you really know how important it is for recipes? Vanilla extract adds flavor and aroma to all kinds of dishes, from cakes to cookies and even savory meals like sauces. In this article, we'll explore why vanilla extract is so essential in the kitchen - and how you can get creative with its uses! Maybe You Also Like: - Can You Share Recipes On Myfitnesspal - Can You Substitute Sherry For Vermouth In A Recipe - Can You Use A Cupcake Recipe To Make A Cake Vanilla Extract Basics I absolutely love the flavor of vanilla extract in my recipes. Chilli-Citrus Chocolate Cointreau Tart
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you can’t decorate, pose slice as a container ship to compensate.
Spitefully measured (almost) everything precisely this time.
10inch fluted tart dish required, bought.
Tart Shell
(Advance prep, few hours in fridge or some time in freezer if impatient)
77g ground almonds (whole w/ skins blitzed)
83g flour [62g wholemeal; 21g white self-raising]
1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon dry ground ginger, Chinese Five spice, Paprika, next time will be at least half a tablespoon of chilli powder.
82g unsalted butter
2 packets (18g) Heinz Chilli Sauce, 1 tablespoon molasses, some cold water for sprinkling.
1 - Mix the dry together
2 - Cut cold butter into dry mix, few butter globules still around no problem.
3 - Add and mix the wet sweets, sprinkle of cold water.
4 - Form into buns, flatten generally into approximate size of tart dish. If it’s too liquid or melty, place in freezer for a few minutes for an easier rollout. In REAL baking instructions, tart shells to be formed into blocks and placed for 8ish hours in the fridge before rollout. Whatevs.
5 - After cooling, ensure all other equipment is ready. Left mine at room temperature for a bit too long before rollout so it was hard to wield and navigate into dish. The volume results in quite a thin pastry base
6 - Once coated, at 190C, baked for 12 minutes with dish on top as weight. Then 3.5 minutes more open to the oven.

Whisk required.
200g Double Cream and 100g Whipping Cream
1 tablespoon orange zest, 2 tablespoons Cointreau (can’t really taste it after, not sure why...) 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence, 1 tablespoon (sugar free, but sweeter taste variety e.g. Sunkist) orange juice
210g chopped chocolate [ 70g Camel milk Orange-Macadamia bar ; 140g semi-sweet chocolate chips ; 2 tablespoons cocoa powder ] Do not recommend and won’t use the semi-sweet baking chocolate again, the white sugar taste is too strong and ruins everything. Either make own chocolate or choose a solid, creamy and well-balanced flavour candy bar/brand.
2 large eggs, beaten.
1 - In saucepan, slow low heat to the creams and zest until it begins to simmer.
2 - Remove saucepan from heat, toss in the chocolate, Cointreau, vanilla, juice, stir until smooth.
3 - Move and whisk a small amount of the chocolate cream into the beaten eggs. Once ‘tempered’, transfer into chocolate cream saucepan and stir until smooth. When I started to actually whisk, I did not like how it seemed to affect the texture. Maybe I made a mistake with the eggs, but still, stirring seemed adequate.
4 - Pour into tart shell, bake at 190C for anywhere from 18-29 minutes. Using whipping cream instead of double cream and less liquids in the mix will mean less baking time. Could even do a cold, eggless tart body.
The baked tart must cool for at least 15 minutes before eating and definitely before any wise ideas about adding melt-able toppings, but it is better served cold. Plus, if lazy to complete decorations, simply cool overnight.

Once baked, TOPPINGS!
Chilli-Citrus Sticky Sauce
200ml slightly bitter and pulpy orange juice (Marigold Peel Fresh)
1 tablespoon honey
Reduce until approx. 80ml then add 4g sweeter, lighter chilli sauce (I used the one from Old Chang Kee but ideally something slightly hotter. Can be Thai sweet chilli sauce).
Keep stirring and reducing until you see sugar bubbles and it looks like it can’t get too much further down. Poor visuals provided above.
Just before sealing and going into fridge, can add a dose of Cointreau.
Crunchy Circle
30g roughly chopped roasted cashews (Camel brand, has cane sugar)
20g roasted white sesame seeds, 3/4 of which blended.
Toast lightly in pan (for next time, add salt).
Combine 2/3 of the dry mix with ~1/3 of the citrus sauce. Next time, add hotter chilli powder/sauce to this mixture.

Untested Option and replacement for crunchy circle, perhaps a dark Chilli Chocolate smooth, buttery ganache... If making own chocolate for the tart body, this would probably be overkill but with the commercial sugary chips, the flavour balance would be fine, presumably.
Peach Cream . . . this is Mama . . .
Best if you make this with the correct equipment (cold high-sided ceramic/glass bowl, stand mixer to whip for you) otherwise it’s very tedious. For mine, I just give up before shoulder gives out. Is good enough.
100g heavy/whipping cream
42g sweets [ 1/4 tsp vanilla essence ; 5g flower honey ; <1 tablespoon orange juice ; rest was St. Dalfour peach jam ]
Whip it as right as you can, may need a few in-between freezer chill sessions. The liquid content and lack of white sugar will mean it takes significantly longer to fluff up, if even possible with these proportions. Consider an orange essence instead of juice, or slightly less jam and honey.
The whipped cream best kept separately before applying to tart slices.
