Hello! For the matchup stuff im 5'3" i like travelling to see beautiful views i can literally sit and do nothing just watchinvg the view for an hour straight. I like reading romcoms, i LOVE horror movies but not when im alone, i dont rlly like cooking but at times i like baking. I laugh easily when i get flustered or when i get nervous. Ok I have been putting off reading your newest fic bc I knew I would love the read and hate the wait for the next chapter but I have finally had time to binge and GOD BECCA I love it. I love how you have done it not just as a skz!au where they’re trainera but also as a Pokemon!au where it’s darker and grittier and more Adult. It’s just such a fun take.

The matchups for the Boys and their types are so good and I would love to hear more about how you matched them all up. Bin as fighting is perfect.

The smut came unexpectedly early in the fic, was expecting more of a slow burn and tease into it but I supposed it means there’s just more time for angst. How many chapters have you estimated this to be?

i chose the pokemon types for each guy kind of...on instinct 😂 some were obvious. seungmin and ghost type was super simple, it matches his chaotic energy so well. minho's calm and determined nature suits normal type, which sounds boring but is incredibly powerful.

jisung and hyunjin had to be the same type, bc it fits their irl rivalry, and there are a lot of water pokemon in gen1, so there's enough to give them each a unique team. changbin and fighting type was also a no-brainer, he's the strongest on the team, our gymbro king 😔

felix and flying type was maybe a surprise? he could have suited bug type, i thought, but that little baby chick?? no other choice. and then i gave fire type to jeongin bc i figured he would have started out with the same pokemon as chan (growlithe) and just run in that direction.

chan actually has no type specialty! he always talks about being indecisive and not knowing himself well, i figure he would also be nervous to tie himself to one type of pokemon 😅

the smut comes in early and then - spoiler - doesn't come back. because that's not the point of the fic, yknow? yeah, it's something that happens among them, but it's not The defining thing. most fics w/ smut have the Sex Scene as the ultimate thing, the capstone, the moment that everything builds to. that moment, in this series, is not sex, but understanding. they're not building toward physical intimacy, but emotional connection. it's easy to fuck someone. it's not easy to listen and understand them and accept them wholly.

there will be approx 20-25 chapters depending on how i ultimately split them up! (i keep changing it 😅)

summary:

There was a half-second of realisation on Han’s part-

-the sudden impulsive turn of his head to face this sudden movement in his periphery-

- a blink of shock at how close your face suddenly was to his-

- did you manage to jerk to a stop, or did the momentum keep you going, you can’t even remember, you just know this was not the plan-

- and then your lips collided.

(or: you employ drastic measures to prevent Han from winning yet another Mario Kart tournament, and your relationship is forever changed)

March 15th, 1997

The time had come.

The nine of you were huddled around the TV in Changbin’s living room, watching with bated breath as he booted up his Nintendo 64.

This was a matter of the utmost importance. It had been burning in everyone’s mind ever since Changbin revealed the new game he got a few weeks ago.

It was time for an afternoon of head-to-head, sudden death, intensely competitive Mario Kart 64.

Seungmin – perhaps sensing that the game was almost certainly going to devolve into a curse-filled bloodbath – had declared that he would sit out and enjoy watching the chaos from afar, bringing the number of players down to eight. A perfect, neat little number for a tournament bracket.

This was going to get ugly.

The first-round pairings were decided randomly, done by picking names out of a hat. It was with great trepidation that you rooted around the paper slips in Seungmin’s Haitai Tigers baseball cap and pulled out the name that would seal your fate.

You unfolded the slip, and looked down at the name scrawled onto the paper.

Han

“…Oh, for fuck’s sake,” you mumbled, crumpling the paper into a ball and glaring at your future opponent.

Han’s eyes lit up when he realised the situation at hand, and gave you a smile. He was the picture of innocence. “What?”

You weren’t fooled for a second. You had years of experience playing against Han on the SNES’s Super Mario Kart. Correction: years of Han wrecking your shit at Super Mario Kart.

You tried to reason in your head that the new game and new console might change things. Maybe the controls would be slightly different, give you a bit of an edge against him.

Unfortunately, you had a sinking suspicion that this would not be the case at all.

The first-round matchups were finally set. You and Han, Minho and Felix, Chan and Changbin, and finally Jeongin and Hyunjin.

“This is gonna be fun,” Han mused, smiling pleasantly as he selected his character.

Your eye twitched when he went for his old favourite, Bowser. You were already suffering flashbacks to countless defeats at the hands of that overgrown Koopa.

“Shut the fuck up, Han,” you replied, settling on Yoshi.

i’m 5’4 and a half !! i have black wavyish shoulder length hair, brown eyes (also have an eye smile), and a slim build.

for my personality, i’m timid and polite at first but once i eventually warm up around someone i’m more easy going and bubbly. out of habit i tend to smile a lot and it doesn’t take much to make me laugh. i’m kind and gentle towards others but also sorta childish and playful in a way. as in i like to tease my friends a lot and use a lot of random pick up lines. tbh i’d consider myself to be an ambivert leaning towards introvert! like i get shy and flustered easily, even after opening up, but i’m also lively and can get pretty talkative or excited when i’m passionate abt smth. i’m affectionate with my loved ones. my love language is physical touch and i live for any type of skin ship whether it’s holding hands, linking arms, hugs, etc but ik when to not overstep any boundaries! my friends describe me as “soft” bc of my compassion and sincerity but also bc i’m sensitive at times. i can get anxious easily. i often care for others more than myself, prioritizing their well being over mine sometimes. i try my best to listen and give reasonable advice.

as for my hobbies i love dancing! i actually learn kpop choreos in my free time along with coming up with my own sometimes. i also enjoy watching anime + dramas, reading manga, baking, and listening to music!!
