Y es que hace relativamente poco que descubrí estos “tipos de usuarios”: los “Mapas” y las “Brújulas”. En mi cabeza, así son sus conversaciones.
Mapa sería aquel usuario/a que le gusta definir desde el principio cómo va a ir desarrollándose la trama -o temas- y cuál será su final antes incluso de empezar a rolear. Sin embargo, la Brújula, sería aquel usuario/a que le gusta lanzarse a la aventura sin saber hacia dónde irá la trama o el tema. Vamos, improvisando sobre la marcha.

After pondering on it for several days, I have officially decided I did not like the direction of KFP4 and have banished it from my brain. It is no longer canon. KFP4? What's that? Don't know what you're talking about.
#spoilers ahead#it wasn't all bad#I really truly loved the scenes with Li and Mr Ping they were wonderfully hilarious#and the music was great#BUT#I just did not like the direction they took Po's story at all.#and I'm kinda furious they subtly undermined Shifu's character#by making him “fine”/“not fine” with Oogway picking Po as his successor instead of him.#it was only a thing for 2 seconds for the sake of humor but it completely undermines his inner peace character development#first off why can there only be one successor#and second off why can't Po take primarily the fighting side and Shifu take the spiritual side#It FITS HIM#don't know if most people would notice that shifu's character was undermined but because he's one of my favorites I sure did and it HURT#also um the furious five WHY didn't we have them be the main characters with Po instead of the fox chick no one cares about#literally their interactions with Po that's WHY WE'RE HERE DREAMWORKS#also it's become really obvious to me that the fox girl was literally written just so they could cast a specific voice actress in a big rol#nothing against that actress I love her in other stuff but that was a bad move Dreamworks#and another thing#the movie's message about change not always being bad is perfectly fine and good in theory#but such character change is only satisfying from a storytelling perspective if the audience actually WANTS the character to change!!!#I don't WANT Po to stop being the dragon warrior! Non is the hidden character and in this essay I will—
—endeavor to make a really good case for it.
This theory is predicated on the possibility of Non still being alive so for my purposes, I'm going to take that as fact. I'm taking a few liberties in places (to varying degrees of clownery) but that central point doesn't change.
This is a long one so get comfy. Okay? Okay.
As of episode 9, we can now be reasonably certain that none of the creepy shit the boys saw was of supernatural origin. They were hallucinations induced by the drug that New/Tan had them smoke in an attempt to get them to spill their secrets about what happened to Non.
Which brings me to Por.
We know two things about Por. One, that something—or someone—lured him out of the house and two, that he saw a ninth person on the house's CCTV.
Was the ninth person a hallucination? If he hadn't been lured out of the house, I'd say maybe. Since he was, let's assume he really did see someone for a second on the cameras.
Now, whoever it was didn't just get Por out of the house. He was specifically led down a predetermined path. When he gets outside and goes to the spot where he saw the figure, he looks down and sees a trail of blood.
He follows this trail and we all know what happens next. He gets deeper into the woods, away from the safety of the house, and starts to hear noises. He turns around, sees a hooded figure following him, and gets chased into a sharpened branch.
Even though New and Phi, although to a lesser extent, are the masterminds behind this little trip to the vacation house, at this moment they are both accounted for. New is playing jenga and getting high with Top and Fluke and Phi is up on the balcony having his dick bitten by Jin. They weren't the ones who lured Por and chased him.
Non did.
What, we're meant to believe that Por just happened to hallucinate a chase that happened to lead him right into a conveniently sharpened branch? And that of all the gin joints in all the cities in all the world, he just had to walk into mine the bad luck of encountering the one branch that was at the perfect height to impale him?
Which is, coincidentally enough, the exact death scenario that Non wrote in his script?
BE SERIOUS.
The only way Por meets this exact death is if Non was the one to kill him, and that leads me to the wire that ended up decapitating poor dead Uncle Dang. A wire which I truly don't think that was meant for him.
Let's follow this line of reasoning. We know that Top and Tee took the road when they went to get help for Por on the bike. This would ultimately fail as they got a flat tire and had to go back, having themselves a hallucination a piece along the way.
At that point, there was no wire stretched across the road. Once they got back to the house, no one would come outside again until morning when they heard Uncle Dang approach on his bike. The wire could've been strung up at any point after the boys got back.
Let's say that after ensuring Por got impaled, Non stuck around to see the aftermath and saw Tee and Top on the bike. Wouldn't it make more sense then for him to have strung up the wire to prevent anyone from leaving as opposed to stopping anyone from coming in?
Because if he is following his script then...
"But Leah," I hear you ask after having humored me thus far, "How would Non even know that the boys would be at the vacation house?"
This is where I sit back down at my vanity mirror in the dressing room at the circus and start taking some liberties.
For Non to have lived, someone had to help him. I mentioned yesterday that I was hopping on the Perth helped Non train and after giving it more thought, I'm doubling down. It's not only possible that Perth helped Non, he had to have done it, and not only because I want Non to be alive so very badly.
Why would Perth and his cheekbones be on the promotional poster for the finale (BESIDE NON I MIGHT ADD) if his character weren't important to the plot? Why would he be there if his only role was to massage Uncle Joe's shoulders?
Allow me to posit a Wild Ass Theory a la @respectthepetty :
If Perth's character helped Non and Known Criminal Keng escape Uncle Joe, that means the video where they were captured getting on a bus was authentic.
But because Uncle Joe and the mafia are still a threat, they can't just go chill somewhere. They have to go on the run and into hiding somewhere they won't be found.
Somewhere like a rarely visited vacation house in the middle of the forest with no contact with the outside world.
Or, alternatively, a creepy temple near that rarely visited vacation house.
Think about it. Non had already been to that house, he's familiar with it, he knows it's empty for long stretches of time and exactly how isolated it is. A terrified teenager fearing for his life is going to want to go somewhere familiar and that house (or the temple) is the perfect place to hide.
I don't think Non went to hide there with the intention, or the hope rather, that he'd get an opportunity for revenge one day. I think he just took advantage of a situation that fell into his lap.
The boys arrived in the afternoon and shit didn't start going down until later that night. That's plenty of time to sharpen a branch, lay down a blood trail, and put on his mask and cloak.
We know all the movie props and the camera and everything were still at the house so it stands to reason that Non had access to them. And we know he had access to the house because White found the knife that was used to cut Por's arms in the closet in the kitchen. The only way that knife could've gotten there is if Non put it there.
Not just any knife, by the way. It was Non's knife, the one that he brought to the house when they came to film and then used to cut Top.
I can't say with any certainty whether Non is acting on his own or with help, but I lean more toward him acting alone. Even if he escaped with Keng, it doesn't mean Keng is still with him all this time later and besides, I much prefer to imagine that ol' boy got eaten by a tiger.
One last thing. This isn't really part of my theory, more like support for it, but when Por is agonizing on the couch, he keeps saying sorry and trying to talk about what he and the boys did three years ago. It could just be a coincidence or deathbed guilt, but I don't think it is. I think Por knows exactly who killed him and that's why he kept apologizing and trying to confess.
In conclusion:

Dmitri es de los primeros soldados en alistarse en el Ejército Rojo, siendo un ferviente bolchevique a pesar de sus raíces aristócratas, de las cuáles reniega, ocultando quién es su padre a sus camaradas comunistas.
Es un hombre despiadado, no duda en eliminar a cualquier objetivo que sus superiores designen, incluidos sus medio hermanos o su propio progenitor si fuese necesario. De hecho, es enviado a Nueva York en busca de Irina, con el objetivo de asesinarla y dar así por terminada la dinastía Ivanov, siendo ella la única miembro que se conoce viva, ya que Andrey sigue desaparecido.
La idea de esta búsqueda es que Dmitri cambie de opinión sobre asesinar a Irina al conocerla, detalles por privado, pero se baraja el incesto :)

LOCACIÓN: Berna, Suiza.
FECHA: Entre el lunes 29 de abril y el domingo 5 de mayo. ¿Tienes alguna duda? VISITA EL CALENDARIO (ON ROL).
El accidente en Toledo ha hecho una pausa en las actividades académicas del programa especial de Reverie. Las autoridades de la institución, en conjunto con la policía española, han estado investigando a puertas cerradas el origen del suceso y poco o nada es lo que se comparte con el público general. Una cosa es clara: Aquello que vivieron entre las paredes del Castillo de Guadamur nunca debió ocurrir.
Pero las palabras de Maximiliam todavía resuenan como un eco en los oídos de quienes fueron testigos. La promesa del descanso no ha sido debatida por nadie, por eso, desde que regresaron a Berna, se suspendieron las actividades inmediatamente. Piers fue el encargado de dejarles saber los detalles el lunes 29 por la mañana, dormitorio por dormitorio.
—Chiques, chiques, mis estimades, ¿cómo están? –así comenzó en cada ocasión que se adentraba en un apartamento distinto. Palabras menos, palabras más.— Les tengo dos noticias. ¿Cuál quieren escuchar primero? ¿Eh? ¿Eh? ¿La buena o la mala? —Lanzó la pregunta al aire con un deje juguetón que parecía no ir a juego con el humor general.
Independientemente de las respuestas, Piers Campbell continuó con su discurso.
—La mala noticia es que… ¡Se les ha concedido unas pequeñas vacaciones! Así como lo escuchan. Retomaremos las clases el próximo lunes. Y digo que es mala noticia porque sé que ustedes aman nuestro programa intensivo y se aburrirán como nunca, ¿eh? —Le guiñó el ojo a le estudiante más cercano.— En fin, serán siete jugosos días en los que podrán dormir o descansar o salir… ¡Lo que sus corazones dicte! En cuanto a la buena noticia… ¡Felicidades a Mabom porque ya no será el último equipo de la tabla! —Aplaude efusivamente. —De hecho, Mabom ya no existirá, ¡haha! En breves les informaremos cuáles serán los equipos que tendrán nuevos integrantes, ¡no se desesperen! — Advierte con un dedo en alto, intentando verse solemne aunque fue su propia voz la que quebró el silencio. — Y… ¿Creo que eso es todo? Sí, claro, jamás se me olvidan los detalles importantes.
Hablando para sí mismo fue abandonando cada dormitorio.
Sin embargo, a Piers sí se le escapó una información vital: Samhain...

¡Bienvenides de vuelta a Berna!
Después de una noche tan caótica, han logrado regresar a Suiza para descansar, reponer energías y sanar heridas. Como era de esperarse, se les ha otorgado una semana libre. En esta tendrán que limpiar y organizar sus dormitorios ya que Mabom ha sido disuelto debido a que no ha alcanzado las expectativas de los profesores.
Sin embargo, en medio de todo esto, llegarán nuevos inquilinos: ¡Démosle la bienvenida a los nuevos estudiantes de intercambio! Estos conformarán a Samhain y provienen de la prestigiosa Escuela de Detectives Sinclair & Thorne, ubicada a las afueras de Londres. Estos vendrán a ocupar un lugar de Mabom para que continuemos con los seis equipos.
¡Recíbanlos con calidez!
En cuanto a los lugares donde podrán crear sus starters, tendrán:
Dormitorios: Si bien cada equipo cuenta con sus propios espacios privados, todos son libres de visitarse entre ustedes, específicamente porque se espera que estén reorganizando los espacios para la mudanza y llegada de los integrantes nuevos. Si quieres saber sobre la distribución del lugar donde vives, lee este apartado. Samhain se encuentra donde estaba mabom, anteriormente.
Plaza Federal (Bundesplatz): Esta es una de las plazas más importantes de Berna y a menudo está llena de gente. Aquí es donde se encuentra el edificio del Parlamento suizo. Muchas personas se reúnen en esta plaza para relajarse, disfrutar del sol y, a veces, hay eventos públicos o manifestaciones.
Jardín de rosas (Rosengarten): Este es un hermoso jardín público ubicado en una colina con una vista panorámica de la ciudad. Es un lugar popular para pasear, relajarse en el césped o simplemente disfrutar de las vistas. Es común ver a la gente hacer picnics aquí, especialmente durante el buen tiempo.
Riberas del río Aar (Aere Riverbank): Las riberas del río Aar son un lugar encantador para dar un paseo. Hay senderos para caminar y andar en bicicleta, así como áreas verdes donde las personas se reúnen para hacer picnics o simplemente descansar junto al río.
Bahnhofplatz (Plaza de la estación de tren): La plaza frente a la estación de tren de Berna es un punto de encuentro importante, especialmente para aquellos que llegan a la ciudad o se están desplazando. ¿Quieres conocer a Berna de otro modo? ¡Tienes los trenes a tu espalda! ¿Quieres tomar un simple descanzo? Visita alguna de las cafeterías y restaurantes que te ofrece esta zona.
Por último, a partir de esta semana estaremos habilitando los starters privados. Podrán ambientarlos en la actividad vigente, por esta vez. ¡Así que no olviden utilizarlos con sabiduría!
ATENCIÓN: Sólo podrán hacer uso de dos starters privados por personaje, y los mismos serán abiertos cuando el personaje tenga un mínimo de SEIS post contestados. No antes. Nos reservamos el derecho de prohibir los privados a aquellos que lleguen a romper esta regla.

~It's blunt but straight to the point. He's not gonna tip toe around the subject like it's something that shouldn't be talked about.
~Din ends up getting real close to you and looking down at you like the intimidating bitch he is. In your personal space. Like drop everything you're doing because he's serious rn.
~"Did you like him?"
~Don't tease him about it. If you start teasing him that he's jealous he'll hate it. Makes his chest heat up and his jaw clench, and he just ends up walking away from you.
~Also sorry but purposely trying to make your boyfriend jealous is gross behavior that just makes people self conscious and upset c'mon man
~So it's best if you actually explain the situation and reassure him about it. Communication is key to a healthy relationship. Din wants you to talk to him about stuff even if he doesn't really know how to respond. He'll try his best.
~So yeah overall he's overprotective and might immediately glare daggers at someone if they try for one second to flirt with you. Jealousy makes him self conscious and sulky, maybe even a little annoyed at you for entertaining it and causing it to continue on rather than just speaking up that you're taken.

Ya no quiero sentir, ya no quiero llorar por ti. ¿Por qué demonios te metiste tan profundo en mi alma? ¿Sabes que es lo peor? Que ni siquiera se decir que es esa característica que me ata a ti... Lo he pensado desde hace rato, años para ser exacta. Y ayer en mis delirios supuse que no es una cosa de ti, es todo tu en realidad.
Tu cómo conjunto, tus bromas, tus comentarios ingeniosos, tu humor, tus ojos, la forma en que me miras como si yo fuera alguien capaz, la forma en que a veces me describes como alguien inteligente y a quien respetas por eso. Eres tu y tu horrible gusto en música, tu amor por ese tonto deporte, la incomprensible forma en que te entusiasmas por las matemáticas. El Arte de Rolear Contra la Corriente
Dino Thylas reportándose una vez más. He afilado mis pezuñas, intentando evitar dañar el teclado mientras tecleo. Originalmente, tenía en mente abordar el tema de cómo generar nuevas tramas de rol sin caer en los ya manidos clichés. Sin embargo, me llegó una consulta de alguien a quien llamaremos "A", tan intrigante que pensé: "Thylas, convierte esto en un recurso útil. Si puede ayudar, será bienvenido". Al paso que voy, terminaré inaugurando un consultorio de asesoría.
Ahora, sumergiéndonos en la duda de "A":
Siendo un dinosaurio prehistórico, sin duda has tropezado con toda clase de peripecias en el mundo del rol. ¿Qué hacer cuando te sientes invisible, mientras observas cómo el resto participa activamente y te dejan meses esperando por una respuesta?
¿A quién no le ha ocurrido? En el amplio y, a veces, indiferente universo de los foros de rol narrativo, te encuentras como un héroe solitario anhelando aventuras épicas. Pero, ¿Qué sucede cuando tu heroico llamado a la aventura es acogido por el temible monstruo del silencio? No temas, valeroso viajero/a, aquí tienes un arsenal de estrategias infalibles, aderezado con un buen toque de humor, para mantener el ánimo alto. Después de todo, lo más importante es no dejar que el desánimo apague tu pasión por un hobby que te encanta.
1. Conviértete en tu propio héroe... y villano
Si el foro te ignora, ¡no hay motivo para el pánico! Es momento de desdoblarte. Crea un segundo personaje y empieza a rolear contigo mismo. ¿Quién dijo que no puedes ser tu propio mejor amigo y tu peor enemigo? Puede sonarte extraño, pero te sorprendería saber que algunas de las tramas más emocionantes surgen cuando manejas ambos lados del conflicto. De hecho, en la mayoría de las ocasiones en que he recurrido a esto, he conseguido captar la atención de otros usuarios que terminaron uniéndose a la trama. ¡Imagina las posibilidades! Un día eres un valeroso caballero y al siguiente, el dragón que secuestra a la princesa... que también eres tú. De repente, aquellos que te ignoraban estarán fascinados por tu trama.
2. Encontrando la gema
Si percibes que, en el foro, ya sea nuevo o veterano, predomina un fuerte espíritu de grupismo, en lugar de esforzarte inútilmente por integrarte, mejor enfoca tu atención en los nuevos usuarios. Quizás entre ellos encuentres esa joya con la que deseas rolear. Una táctica útil puede ser aprovechar los Tumblr promocionales para difundir tus búsquedas, ampliando tu alcance más allá de los simples "ups" en el foro.
3. "Foro Nuevo, Yo Nuevo"
Si después de haber intentado todo lo imaginable, desde crear tramas abiertas hasta buscar activamente colaboraciones, aún te encuentras con la indiferencia, quizás sea el momento de buscar nuevos horizontes. Deja atrás los rencores y empieza de cero en otro foro con una temática similar. Piénsalo como el inicio de una nueva aventura, una secuela espiritual de tu viaje original.
4. El Creador de Mundos
Si tu amor por la temática del foro permanece inquebrantable, pero no logras encontrar tu lugar, ¿por qué no crear tu propio universo? Desborda tu creatividad y da vida a un nuevo foro. Pero, cuidado, evita caer en las sombras del plagio. Aspira a que tu foro sea tan original y cautivador que incluso los dioses del rol se sientan tentados a participar. No se trata de competir con tu antiguo foro, sino de ofrecer un nuevo reino para que otros aventureros lo exploren.
Espero que estos cuatro consejos te sean de utilidad; son estrategias que personalmente he puesto en práctica. Lo que siempre recomiendo es evitar llegar al punto de quemarte. Eso solo empeoraría tu situación y disminuiría tus ganas de participar en el rol, llevándote a la conclusión de que necesitas tomar un descanso, algo particularmente frustrante cuando se trata de un hobby que te apasiona y llena. Si sientes que no te valoran, no te esfuerces en demasía intentando encajar en un grupo que no aprecia tu valía. Y, sobre todo, evita caer en el desprestigio de otros para sentirte aceptado/a; ese camino nunca termina bien.
Recuerda, el mundo del rol es vasto y lleno de posibilidades. A veces, un cambio de escenario o la creación de tu propio espacio puede reavivar la llama de tu pasión por este hobby. Mantén siempre la cabeza alta y tu sentido del humor afilado; después de todo, cada personaje que creas lleva un poco de tu espíritu aventurero. Y quién sabe, tal vez en tu próximo rol, o incluso en tu propio foro, encuentres una comunidad que celebre tus ideas y contribuciones.
Al final, lo importante no es la cantidad de interacciones que tengas, sino la calidad de las mismas. Encuentra personas que compartan tu entusiasmo y dedicación al rol, y juntos podréis crear historias memorables que trasciendan el mero acto de postear en un foro. La narrativa colaborativa tiene el poder de unir a las personas de maneras profundas y significativas, así que no pierdas la esperanza.
Y si alguna vez te sientes desanimado/a, recuerda: incluso los más grandes héroes enfrentan desafíos. Lo que los define no es la facilidad de su camino, sino su resiliencia y su capacidad para encontrar soluciones creativas. Así que, ya sea adoptando un nuevo personaje, explorando nuevos foros, o incluso creando el tuyo, siempre hay una manera de seguir adelante.

One thing I think Sega has really missed out on is reminding everyone that Shadow is the same age as Sonic. Like, okay, Shadow is more mature because trauma has a way of maturing people but he is still a teen like Sonic. What's more uncomfortable than everyone realising that Sonic is just a kid? Everyone realising that Shadow is just a kid.
G.U.N comes marching into the local hospital because they have reports on having a man down and want to check him out to take him to their military hospital, they search up and down all the different wards in search of him only for a doctor to to lead them to the pediatrics ward were they see Shadow sitting in a brightly coloured room with a plastic mobile over him and a pair of neon coloured cast on an arm and leg. He looks so out of place but also so small in that bed.
i think a lot of why that hasn't gotten highlighted recently is because shadow just. hasn't been in a lot of games after 06. he was only in forces and that game is already a bit of mixed bag in many ways so it's hard for me to say anything concrete on shadow's portrayal there especially when it's not fresh on my mind. on the contrary i think shadow 2005 did a really good job at showing shadow as the teen he is, i talked about it before when i was hot on my playthrough that i should resume at some point honestly, and that game does it in ways that remind me of the way RoL did the same with team sonic. shadow acts all edgy to the point it goes a bit over the top the way a teen would do it, he swears excessively like a kid who just learned that saying "fuck" might not get them grounded anymore would, and despite the tone of the game shadow sometimes says some absolutely goofy shit from what seems like nowhere ("this is like taking candy from a baby, which is fine by me!" among others) that often comes across as him trying to make some clever remark that doesn't quite work because his sense of humor is immature and also the amnesia beams probably don't help the cause. i think there's a similar flare to sa2 and heroes, though it's perhaps less in-your-face since there are other characters to focus on, and 06 is an overall a more serious game so naturally it would focus more on the way shadow has grown over the last few games as opposed to highlighting his childishness
i know that the mysterious writing guidelines sega has for these characters have most likely evolved since and i feel like their current stance is to focus on shadow's apparent maturity in comparison to his friends, and i think that's probably fine, it fits in with his position as the resident edgelord anti-hero "im so evil and fucked up but my heart is in the right place and i only hurt people who deserve it and my rival sometimes maybe but not for realsies" type character. i definitely wouldn't mind a good old reality check that hits you like a brick while reminding you that the dark and mysterious hedgehog that enamored you is actually 15 and going through his most emo years

¿Por qué se deprime la gente?
El mal humor o la tristeza que no desaparecen pueden ser una señal de depresión. Esto puede ocurrirle a todo tipo de persona, sin importar su edad, género, raza o nivel económico. Aunque la depresión sea frecuente, sobre todo en los adolescentes, algunas personas sufren depresión y otras no. ¿Por qué?
¿Cuáles son las causas de la depresión?
Son muchas las cosas que afectan si una persona sufre depresión, como las siguientes:
Los genes
Las investigaciones demuestran que la depresión se da en varios miembros de una misma familia. Algunas personas heredan genes que desempeñan un rol en la depresión. Pero no todas las personas que tienen o han tenido un pariente cercano con depresión desarrollarán esta afección. Y hay muchas personas que, aunque no tengan antecedentes familiares de depresión, se deprimen. Por lo tanto, aunque los genes son un factor, no son la única causa de la depresión.
La química cerebral
Los neurotransmisores son unas sustancias químicas que controlan el estado de ánimo. Cuando una persona tiene depresión, estos neurotransmisores pueden estar en concentraciones muy bajas o pueden no ser eficaces. Una persona con los genes de la depresión tienen más probabilidades de tener este problema con los neurotransmisores.
El estrés, la salud y las hormonas
Los factores como el estrés, el consumo de alcohol, el abuso de drogas y los cambios hormonales pueden afectar el estado de ánimo y la química del cerebro.
Algunas afecciones también pueden incrementar la probabilidad de estar enojado, irritable o triste. Por ejemplo, los niveles bajos de hormonas tiroideas pueden deprimir el estado de ánimo en algunas personas. Una vez que el médico detecta y trata la afección, estos síntomas suelen desaparecer.
Dormir lo suficiente y hacer ejercicio físico con regularidad suelen tener un efecto positivo en la actividad de los neurotransmisores y en el estado de ánimo, y esto ayuda a prevenir la depresión.
La luz solar y las estaciones del año
La luz del sol afecta la forma en la que el cerebro produce dos neurotransmisores llamados "melatonina" y "serotonina". Ayudan a controlar la energía, el estado de ánimo y el momento en que una persona se duerme y se despierta.
Los días más cortos y la mayor duración de la noche en otoño y en invierno pueden hacer que el cuerpo produzca más melatonina y menos serotonina. Este desequilibrio puede llevar a un tipo de depresión conocida como trastorno afectivo estacional. La exposición a la luz puede ayudar a mejorar el estado de ánimo en las personas con trastorno afectivo estacional.
Los acontecimientos vitales
A veces, la muerte de un miembro de la familia, un amigo o una mascota puede causar depresión. Otros acontecimientos vitales complejos (como el divorcio de los padres o el nuevo casamiento de uno de los padres) también pueden causar depresión. El hecho de que una situación vital completa cause depresión o no puede depender de lo bien que la persona puede afrontar la situación, mantener su optimismo y obtener apoyo y contención.
El ambiente familiar y social
Para algunas personas, una atmósfera familiar negativa, estresante o triste puede llevar a una depresión. Otras situaciones de vida de mucho estrés (como la pobreza, la pérdida de la vivienda o la violencia) también pueden causar depresión. Hacer frente al bullying, el acoso o la presión de los pares también causa sentimientos de soledad o ansiedad en algunas personas.
Las situaciones como estas no siempre causan una depresión, pero afrontarlas sin ningún tipo de apoyo y contención puede facilitar el desarrollo de una depresión.
Reacción ante las situaciones de la vida
La vida está llena de altibajos. El estrés, las dificultades y los contratiempos suceden (pero, afortunadamente, no demasiado a menudo). La forma en que reaccionamos a las dificultades de la vida es muy importante. La actitud de una persona puede contribuir a que se deprima o puede ayudar a protegerla de la depresión.
Las investigaciones indican que una actitud positiva ayuda a protegerse de la depresión. Esto es cierto incluso para personas con los genes, la química cerebral o las situaciones de vida que las enfrentan al riesgo de desarrollar una depresión.
Lo contrario también es cierto: las personas que tienden a pensar de forma negativa corren un mayor riesgo de desarrollar una depresión.
Esforzarse en pensar en positivo, como creer que todos los problemas se pueden solucionar, puede ayudar a protegerse de la depresión. También ayuda desarrollar unas buenas habilidades de afrontamiento, así como un sistema de apoyo y contención basado en relaciones sociales positivas. Estos factores ayudan a desarrollar la resiliencia (la cualidad que ayuda a las personas a recuperarse y a salir adelante, incluso en situaciones difíciles).
¿Cómo puedo ser más resiliente?
He aquí tres formas de desarrollar la resiliencia:
Intenta pensar en el cambio como una parte normal y desafiante de la vida. Cuando surjan problemas, toma medidas para resolverlos.
Repítete a ti mismo que los contratiempos y los problemas son pasajeros y se pueden resolver.
Construye un sistema de apoyo y contención. Pide ayuda a tus amigos y a tu familia (o solo un hombro sobre el que llorar) cuando lo necesites. Ofrece tu ayuda cuando ellos la necesiten. Este dar y recibir crea relaciones fuertes que ayudan a las personas a superar los problemas que enfrentan durante su vida. Algunas personas también encuentran alivio en el lugar en donde practican su religión o desarrollan su vida espiritual.
Desarrollar la resiliencia y ser positivo no es un escudo mágico que nos proteja automáticamente de la depresión. Pero estas cualidades pueden ayudar a contrarrestar algunos de los factores que causan depresión.
La depresión es una afección de la salud mental que requiere atención médica. Si la tristeza o el mal humor duran semanas, meses o incluso más tiempo, llama a tu médico
