Yeah this is a fun one.

Vanessa seems big on the quality time and the parallel play kind of things so I can imagine they'd do all sorts of things together, with cooking being their most common one. Sometimes they end up playing 'truth or truth' (because Vanessa doesn't trust Chica to give her a dare that won't traumatise half the Plex inhabitants somehow and that's a valid concern) or just spending hours chatting while on some arcade game or another. They like that little uhh the air hockey table game a lot. They could have a sort of rivalry going on those things with a notebook full of their current score. That could be fun

Chica is the kinda person to plan who she's going to ask to hangout with ahead of time, and she always plans to spend time with Vanessa if possible. They can often be found in the office watching cake decorating videos or Gordon Ramsey. They seem like Gordon Ramsey watchers. Maybe they have a game where they try to beat his insults and it just ends with them both giggling like idiots?

On quieter days, maybe they just like venting to each other? Or maybe Chica likes to use Vanessa as a soundboard while Vanessa reads a book or something because she knows it's only a matter of time before Chica solves the problem her self and disappears again. She literally comes in, spends an hour and a half rambling, figures out the solution and vanishes without a single pause or break. Vanessa's pretty good at splitting her attention so it's not too hard to follow the basics of whatever Chica is saying.

Oooo wait wait wait. Chica speaks a mile a fucking minute sometimes. Like, if you miss even one word, you're left in the fucking dust... And Vanessa is the only one who has never been defeated. Chica is kinda curious if she ever will and she loves not having to slow her words down to something more understandable so Vanessa is the perfect person to talk to sometimes. Sunny is a close second but sometimes he can't keep up either and not a single person in the Plex understands how in the fuck Vanessa can keep up with this stuff.

There's definitely a lot of potential here!

Oh and of course, if Chica is incapable of eating (actually eating not just cramming food in her mouth) and tasting, she keeps bringing foods to Vanessa so she can explain how they taste and what the texture and smell are like, etc. Chica is fucking fascinated and Vanessa strikes me as a chronic 'forgot to pack a lunch' kinda person so it works out good for both sides.

Chica invited her to participate in girls night once. She said 'not a snowballs chance in hell.'

Truly, the only one with any fucking sense in this whole damn megaplex.

to me, the funniest thing about “that’s rough buddy” isn’t the fact that sokka says something patently insane with zero context seemingly out of nowhere, or the fact that zuko clearly doesn’t know how to respond. it’s the completely incorrect use of the word “buddy.” zuko would obviously like to be friends with sokka, but sokka is not, in fact, his friend. this is the most time they’ve ever spent together, and it’s because zuko invited himself to tag along on sokka’s suicide mission. at this point in the episode, sokka still hates this guy, perhaps less than he did a week ago, but he still hates him enough that he didn’t bother forcing zuko to stay home, which means he still didn’t really care whether or not zuko lives or dies. which, considering that he had tried to kill zuko multiple times in the past, is not all that surprising. this entire episode is essentially just zuko forcing his friendship onto sokka while sokka is legitimately too depressed to care. so when zuko calls sokka “buddy,” there’s a spirit of dogged optimism characterizing that epithet, because in no possible realm would sokka consider zuko his buddy at this point in the episode. and that’s something we miss when noting the iconicness of this exchange, simply because, by the end of this episode, they are buddies, so in our minds looking back on these lines, the implication of friendship doesn’t feel out of place at all. and really, it isn’t out of place, but only because zuko’s tenacity and determination (in this instance, his determination to befriend sokka) has always hugely outweighed his ability to read the room.

This is kinda revolutionary? Just a few years ago destiel was queerbaiting fans to superhell but now? NOW? A show saw the fans HC a character as queer with valid evidence and instead went "you know what? You're right. We didn't originally plan this for them but we see you". Then four episodes into the season, canonized his queerness. Not the last second, Not the last Episode. the BEGINNING of the season, with time to expand AND we know we're getting another season after this. Just look how far we've come.

Something I haven't seen discussed yet is not only did buck and Tommy kiss, but they JUST kissed. Tommy kissed him once, just communicating that "okay is this what you want us to do?" And then he set up a real romantic date where he's going to pick buck up at 8 and everything.

Buck who has a shit load of trauma from partners wanting him for nothing more than his body. From always having to be the person adding the romance into every relationship to convince people there's more to him then sex.

Baby boy just got asked on a wholesome date and got promised romantic helicopter flying lessons and he won't even have to drive and goddddvdhebusjabsjsjdnxns

One of the reasons why I've always thought that pairing up Eddie or Buck with a brand new character who's only brought in as a love interest will simply not work, is the fact that the rest of the mains are all paired up with other mains.

Bobby and Athena. Maddie and Chimney. Karen is the only wife who's not a real main herself, but her character and her and Hen's relationship are both so fleshed out and beautiful that she still feels like a main.

This is the main reason why, in my opinion, it's always going to feel so incredibly lacking to try and pair up Eddie and Buck with random new people. When we're so used to knowing and loving both parties in a romantic relationship on this show. It's one of the many reasons why I feel like endgame romantic Buddie is the only thing that's going to feel fair to their characters.

Which leads me to the genious choice of Tommy being brought back to be Buck's new love interest. Tommy, who's already an established character in this universe. Tommy, who's already got history with members of the 118 that aren't Buck. Who was insinuated to be a closeted gay long before he was gonna be Buck's bisexual awakening. Who said he thought Kirsten Stewart was too broody way before the show decided to pair him up with someone as sweet and bright as Buck.

And even now that he is a love interest, he still gets to keep a personality of his own. He still gets to be a little reserved when meeting up Buck for coffee at the end of the episode, hesitant to say yes to another date, because he's allowed to look after his own heart and not wanting to be hurt by someone who might still be in the closet, unlike himself. Like that is such a real and fair choice to make for yourself as a queer person, and I'm so happy they let him be all that.

I still think endgame Buddie is the thing that'll make the most sense for this show and its characters. But, my god, is it hard to be anything but fucking thrilled about having Tommy around right now.
