“Tell me something about yourself that not many people know.”

“What's this?” he asks, voice laced with amusement.

“Just answer me, ‘tsuya.” you grumble, head lolling over the side of the bed you're currently spread out on, peering at his upside down figure. “I'm bored.”

Mitsuya hums thoughtfully, pen tapping against the table absentmindedly. Both your homeworks lay abandoned on his table, you having already given up a long time ago and pestering him to do the same, despite his best efforts to stay focused and finish them.

“I have a dragon tattoo on the side of my head.” he says casually.

“WHAT?????” you leap up from your spread-eagle position to gape at him properly. His lips curl into an impish grin at your reaction, the sight sending butterflies flying through your stomach. You swat them away in favour of focusing on the more pressing matter at hand.

“Yeah.” His hand comes up to tap at the right side of his head. “Right here.”

You scramble off the bed, nearly tripping over yourself as you rush to his side. “Whaaat the fuck. You're the last person I'd expect to ever have a tattoo.” you say as you pull up your chair next to him, plopping down on it.

He huffs in amusement. “I am in a gang, y'know.”

“I know, but you're like, more well behaved compared to them.” You pause, peering at his face suspiciously. “...right?”

A mischievous smile is all you get in response.

Rolling your eyes, you turn your attention back to the side of his head, peering closely at the short lilac hair, trying to catch a glimpse of the tattoo. You can't see anything, though, due to all the hair fully covering it.

“Can I…?” you raise your hand hesitantly. He nods, grabbing your wrist and bringing it to where the tattoo supposedly lies, the warm touch sending sparks flying through your skin.

Carefully, your fingers gently part his hair to reveal the scalp below. The slight shiver as your fingers make contact with his head doesn't go unnoticed by you, although none of you say a word.

And there, under the lilac strands, you catch glimpses of furling strands of black ink, coiling and curling into something resembling—

“A dragon?” you murmur.

Mitsuya hums. “Mhm. I designed it myself. Cool, huh?” You can hear the pride in his voice.

You snort, not wanting to give him the satisfaction. “I suppose.” Following the strands of ink, you trace down the side of his scalp, mesmerized by the intricate design. Despite your seemingly unimpressed response, you found the tattoo really beautiful, the art style unique and artistic, the way it curves along the side of Mitsuya's head so naturally you wouldn't be surprised if he said he was born with it. Lost in your concentration, you don't notice Mitsuya's slowly reddening cheeks, closing his eyes as his head subconsciously leans into your gentle touch.

The two of you stay like that for a while, in comfortable silence, him enjoying your ministrations, you too absorbed in admiring every detail of the tattoo to notice.

Until you trace the final curl of the dragon's tail, the trail ending making you snap out of whatever trance you were in, face immediately flushing a deep red as you realized you probably spent way more time touching him than you should've. Your hand instantly jolts back from his head as if it touched hot iron. At the loss of your touch, Mitsuya's eyes slowly fluttered open, gazing lazily at you, the sight once again sending some weird, hot feeling shooting through you. Damn this man and his stupidly pretty face.

You clear your throat, trying to act natural. “Why have a tattoo when you can't even see it under all that hair, though?”

That question catches him off guard, and he barks out a laugh. “There's a funny story behind it, actually.”

He goes on to tell you the story of how he got the tattoo, from meeting this boy called Draken, to playing games at the brothel, to deciding to become a delinquent and accidentally matching tattoos with Draken. Your jaw dropped more and more as the story progressed, mostly from how unexpected and wild the entire thing was.

“Damn.” you laugh when he finishes. “And here I thought you were this good, well-behaved child who got roped into the gang business by their friends. I mean, abandoning your sisters to graffiti a wall?” you shake your head in mock disapproval. “What a bad child you are.”

His lips stretch into a sly grin, something dangerous glinting in his eyes. “Oh? Really, [name], you should've known by now.”

He leans forward until his lips are right by your ear, voice coming out in a teasing whisper.

“I can get quite naughty sometimes.”

...

You're quite certain your face is in flames.

You sit there, short-circuiting, as Mitsuya leans back into his chair, a self-satisfied smirk on his face. Fumbling, you glance around desperately from something that will save you, and your eyes land on the abandoned exercise books on the table, the whole reason you were at Mitsuya's house in the first place.

“Oh! Would you look at that! Our homework! That we still have to finish!” You pull your chair back to the other side of the table hurriedly and bury your face in the books, your homework suddenly being the most interesting thing in the world. You hear him chuckle, but he doesn't say anything, picking up his pen and continuing with his work. Your heart finally stops racing, and you think that you're safe until—

“[name]?”

“Hm?”

“I enjoyed that very much. Feel free to do it again if you want~”

“...”

This boy is going to be the death of you.

The Witch and The Beast Episode 1: The Witch and The City of Blazing Red

I'll be brutally honest: this is still a Yokohama production. Hamana brings some good work with their helming of the production, but there's still struggles. But in spite of those struggles I can't help but love this episode, and I can't help but want to talk about it. So let's talk about it.

First of all- the negatives. Characters are off model as often as they are on model, the animation is rather sparse and there's some awkward sequences throughout the episode. Some designs end up a little too simple for my tastes due to limitations with animation, and Hamana's storyboards and sense of direction do not mesh very well at all with this episode.

In spite of all of that there's still a mountain of work that I can only describe as incredible within.

For one, the environment art and art direction was superb. I was worried about how flat the colors were in the PVs, but this episode proved they're able to deliver a great deal of range on incredible environments that mesh 2D and 3D almost effortlessly. A Sign of Affection by and far has the best backgrounds in this season, but personally I'd put The Witch and The Beast as a reasonable second place (with Ishura hot on its tail).

The backgrounds in The Witch and The Beast really bring out the most in terms of style and color, really embodying Satake's modus operandi with them: very strong and full color palettes that hinge around a color or combination. It has me incredibly excited to see how they tackle other sequences in this season.

But that's about the only aspect in this episode that deserves its universal praise (aside from the OST, which is great) , the rest tend to come with a caveat. Like Hamana's boards.

I did sort of tear them apart earlier, but I'll come completely clean: there's still some really great layouts in this episode. They're not god tier and they miss out on the potential with symbolism and whatnot, but they're still damn good pieces that help sell the episode to viewers.

And then there's the animation. Hamana's boards don't really give much opportunity to effectively animate, but there's some sequences that really stand out.

Take, for example, Gideau eating. Sure, it might be a simple and short sequence but the fact that it was animated as well it was speaks volumes to the level of work that can appear with this series.

Similarly, there's this clip of a rotoscoped Gideau winding up a punch for Ione. It might be a little awkward, but the idea and execution of the rotoscoped sequence was really cool to see.

And there's a handful of other moments that express the surprisingly ability of Yokohama's animation for this series. Unfortunately we don't get much animation in Gideau's fight, but I'm hoping that we'll see better work done under more creative and involved storyboards we move along with this story.

It's overall a very middle of the road production with this first episode for sure, but I think that the bad parts are rather mild, while the good parts are quite inspiring. So rather than feeling concern or reservation with this adaptation, I oddly enough find myself excitedly waiting to see what Yokohama manages with the next episode!

Vincent Sinclair Fluffy/Regular Headcanons

His love language is gift giving and quality time.

I feel like his work with wax and his drawing abilities mean he also dabbled a bit in woodworking too.

If you are a jewelry person, he will make you jewelry boxes and holders of all kinds depending on what your style is.

He will make a stand for your rings after making a perfect replica of your hand but with the knuckles a bit smaller so the rings don’t get stuck on the mold.

At times when you’re in his workshop with him and you take a nap he will pull out his sketch book and he will make a sketch of you.

Hell, if he doesn’t have a victim or if he’s waiting for a victim to cool off he will sketch you out without you being in the room.

How much time he has determines how detailed it is.

He’s also pretty cuddly in a way.

If he’s sitting down in his workshop he will happily allow you to sit on his lap facing him.

If you fall asleep sitting like that it will melt him like the hot wax he has.

If Bo is yelling at you for any reason, Vinny will silently appear behind you like your damn shadow and he will stare Bo down.

Bo: “Damn it Y/N! Can’t you d-“

Vinny appears behind you staring at Bo with rage in his eye.

Bo, terrified but too “manly” to admit it: “Never fuckin’ mind…”

Que you turning around to see Vinny looking innocent and his arms open awaiting your embrace.

He stays up late at night working on his wax figure.

It melts his heart completely when he finally is ready for bed and he gets in and you wake up a little and mumble for him.

Your arms out stretched still mostly asleep: “Vivi… want cuddles…”

He’s done for.

If you get hurt he will become mama Vin, patching you up calmly and planting a kiss to wherever got hurt.

If you’re crying he will be there with your favorite snacks and some tissues, be prepared cause y’all will be cuddling and watching your favorite movies/show.

If you also enjoy art you’re definitely more than welcome to help him with his wax figures as long as you don’t mind the dead body.

Would rather you not go out and help Bo with the tourists, but if you really want to and you know what you’re doing then he won’t stop you.

If you like to do hair and wanna play or style his hair, let him know first so he doesn’t get startled by you.

Will happily walk around the house with his hair done up all pretty.

He also has tons of masks that he made, but the one he wears all the time is his favorite because it looks the closest to him.

So if you take a mask and put on some nice makeup, he won’t mind.

Just ask if you can first.

He can nearly never say “No” to you.

Y/N: “Vinny…? Can I paint your nails?”

Vin nods.

Y/N: “Can I draw in your sketchbook? I’ll draw something small in the last page so I don’t take up your sketchbook.”

Vin nods and makes a mental note to get you sketchbooks.

The only time he will say “No” but without actually saying it:

Y/N: “Vivi? Can we get a pet? Please?”

Vin using sign language or writing in his notepad: “We have a dog.”

He will probably get you a small pet in secret.

Will happily make you matching bracelets or something like that, so you have something of his and he has something of yours.

If he’s been gone all day and it’s late when he gets back and you’re holding his pillow or in his shirt?

Gone.

He is GONE.

Gets flustered and giddy when you pepper his mask in kisses.

When he finally allows you to see his actual face, please pepper his face in kisses.

If you’re making dinner and he is done with work he will come up to see you and wrap his arms around you and plant his face in your neck.

He misses you when he hasn’t seen you all day, he has messed up a few things because he was thinking about you and not paying any attention.

Has a few drawings and paintings of your eyes and your eye color, he loves the color.

Doesn’t matter what color your eyes are, he loves them.

Loves holding your hand!

Seeing your hand in his and seeing the sizes between them!

Hi! Its time for a Recalled update! :D

Ive been following this comic for a while and i really enjoy the concept for it, I highly recommend you go and check it out over at @recalled11.

It's an interesting take on the links meet idea and i love the art style and the character designs.

Now, this is a rambly post, no I'm not sorry. Please sit with me, grab some popcorn and some hot chocolate or a hot drink of choice. Prepare to sit for like 30 minutes :D

Lets get started!

Alright here we go!!!

First off, it must must be said.

These backgrounds are incredible. like, oh yes oh hell yeah *chefs kiss* I love them.

So at first i was a little confused about the glowing eye, i was looking back at the other pages and back to here and thinking about if it's just a Wild thing. Which would make sense right?

Then they throw this curve ball

MAIN QUEST EYE GLOW, IS HE THE MAIN CHARACTER? DO THEY ALL HAVE THE GLOW EYEBALL OF QUEST TRACKING?

I DONT KNOW YET BUT I'LL FIND OUT.

Man's like, bionic? eye is doing work for us and I'm here for it. the blue glow as well, yes. Just yes.

Also with this panel. We know each of the arrows while a Link is holding it points to a Link. The same goes for Zelda.

And i've been brainstorming who is who.

So, If I've got this right, based off what i could figure out in panels where the compass appears.

The detail in this is making me so excited, I'm wondering what it means when an arrow acts like this. Is it travelling towards the compass? It is exclusive to just Sky's point? Little thunderbolts spark from it.

Maybe im reading too far into this but the others dont do this, so Im definitely intrigued by this!

I love a full-body shot of anyone, and I love how Wild looks! The little poncho and the details with the scaring!

Now I've not found any official names for the loftwings yet, I personally use Crimson and Luna. And will differ to these unless told otherwise. But if there are official names please please tell me! :D

Also is this the camera attachment? A zoom feature? I figure we are gonna see more of wilds ability as we go through but I'm thoroughly enjoying finding out what he can do!

This is the correct reaction when you see a GIANT BIRD flying at you at speed. The people of Wild's world have been through so much at this point the assumption of another monster first its absolutely fair.

When I tell you I had happy clappy hands at this panel I mean my phone fell to the floor with more than a thud.

There's a lot to unpack here, first the reigns with that little gold detailing from the clasp. The saddle? Is it a saddle for loftwings? The leather straps around Link's loftwings.

And Sky's design!

If you know me you know that SKSW is my fave game and that SS link if my fave in pretty much every AU that i encounter. This one is no exception

I'll go into detail later, when we have the detailed screenshots. But just look at my boy!

Also the goggles were a nice touch! It just makes sense for them to wear them, they fly so damn fast imagine the dust.

Captain is a fight first ask questions later, man is ready to go!

Crimson is out here getting half pages and he deserves every inch of space he gets. Such an extra boy and i love him. The details with the feathers flying from both of them too. I love it. I love them

Loftwings my beloved!

Shout out to Zelda for landing Luna not right in the way of everyone, Sky please. Your scaring the adults. The kids think it's cool and want a ride.

But the detailing on the feathers and the eyes even from this far is just incredible.

Crimson please, your scaring the adults. Im here for just the amount of people in lookout landing who sprung to its defense.

While wild is just up here chilling out, This is a totally normal Tuesday!

this reminds me of my chill cat and it makes me love Zelda's loftwing even more. Just a birb chilling.

And this reminds me of my other cat. Loud noises!

Are loftwings in this universe just giant cats? Two types, Chill and crazy.

The real mvp right here. He is ready to fight the big bird.

From a later panel, we can see that the one at the back here is Captain. This means he not only drew his sword he was straight-up ready to fight by this point. He is fast!

Sky my beloved, god I love his design so much.

Also captain's face, He's seen the green tunic and is like. Well, its another child to add to our collection better put the sword away before he does something.

Yes malon, yes they are! And they are wonderful! :D

Time looks worried, is Time afraid of birds? My understanding of oot is that he and the owl were friends?

My fave panel, the best boy with best birb.

Crimson totally knows this is a comic and breaks the forth wall to smile at the reader as well as the others in lookout landing. I love the details here. I love him so much.

He know's he is stunning and will flaunt it every opportunity he gets

Also Sky and Sun having matching sailcloths? I am in love. I love them both.

I'm gonna mention the feathers now too. I love the details of them having their loftwing feathers in their hair as like a head dress. That's such a cool idea i love it!

These two panels had me laughing I wont lie.

First off, Sun responds to Hylia. That is the face of someone who's heard their name. Second off, Flower is a mood. running out of bed with a sword, questions later style.

The detail on Zelda's loftwing too. Such a pretty creature. So well-behaved.

Also, Zelda(flower) asking captain what's happening and the link responds rather than one of her captains.

I really like captain, He's a chill guy. while Sky is just confused. Really cool of captain to be the one to introduce first, he seems to be the one who will be the main referral when it comes to authority. I assume he will be the one who introduces first for all of them.

Time for me to be excited about their designs.

Skyloftian goggles, I love it. It just makes so much sense.

I love Sun, Her dress, the way she's got an sailcloth wrapped around her shoulders like that, the way she's got loftwing feathers not only behind her ears but at the end of her longest braid too. I'm very excited to see more with her.

And Sky! where do i start without going on a twenty minute rampage about him. The way he's got his sailcloth around one shoulder like that. I assume to make it easier to use if he ever needs to use it to land. The loftwing feather hanging off his belt. (Which I notice Zelda doesn't have. Is this just a him thing?)

I can't get over the headdress with the loft wing feathers. Is that a skyloftian thing? Is it ceremonial? Is it because they wanted matching headgear?

I want to know more about Skyloftians in this universe.

Also totally not Sky being an absolute cinnamon roll. Beloved. I love him.

Time and Malon are an absolute mood. time just existing in a state of confusion. And Malon being excited about loftwings. Me too malon, Me too! Let Malon ride one of the loft wings as soon as possible.

Captain behaving like a dad already. Gives me 'Where is the wild child' vibes. Which is funny, cause Wild is older than him.

Oh and I will mention the scars on Sky's face, I love the scars that they all have. It's all so detailed. Sky's lightning, Captain's burns. And the two cuts on his face.

The fact that this is an expression at all, let alone one that the rest of them are not going to understand cause you know, No remlits on the surface. Poor cinnamon roll man is confused.

Again chill dude with all the friends, i love Captain so much. He's just here to help you out.

Oh man, I enjoyed this update, this was good. I love Sky he is wonderful.

Im sure she can and im very excited to see what's next!

I'll take a suitcase from ATL if any still going!

Sure, there's another one from ATL. A cool old leather case. Littered with stickers from long gone airlines and hotels from all over the world. Too bad, you can do less with the contents. Cool clothes, in any case. But with the T-shirt and the jeans, you don't even have to try to put them on. You won't fit in them in your life. But the chain with the feather is quite cool. You put it on. It looks silly with your suit and the button-down shirt, of course. But you tuck it into the shirt. Then no one will notice. And the chain feels damn cool on your skin.

You have meetings with various advertising agencies scheduled for today. Pitches for a new campaign. Marketing is not really your thing. But it's about products that you have developed with your team. So you should be there. During the first presentation you almost fall asleep. This hipster babble gets on your nerves so much. You bang your rings on your coffee cup, bored. Your colleague from marketing asks you if you have anything to contribute. You just roll your eyes and keep quiet.

At the second pitch, you ask yourself if the boys already have pubic hair. They're probably fresh out of college. Nice graphics, but no understanding of monitors. They certainly haven't dealt with your product yet. You stroke your beard. Ask a few questions about what they think is special about your product and their marketing proposals. Dismayed silence. They are definitely not the right ones either.

With the third group, you have a good feeling right from the start. Like you, the guys are strangers neither in the gym nor in the tattoo studio. You just have intense eye contact with the hot senior art director. And he tears up his notes and says that he would build the campaign entirely around the creative mind behind the product development. With a practiced stroke, he sketches images of a man smashing an archaic TV with a hammer. The model a cross between Thor and Marlon Brando. He described your style quite well with that. You clap your hands slowly. Your colleagues follow. The decision for the new agency is made.

Actually, you are an engineer. But you really have fun in front of the camera. Especially since you don't have to pretend. You are a mixture of Thor and Marlon Brando!

It’s so hard to find good information about fans in history.

I think hand fans and other cooling devices are very important for us to learn about and make. We have a warming climate. That warming climate is partially caused by our attempts to keep cool. We need to reduce our reliance on electric and fossil fuel cooling systems. Our infrastructure is not going to stay as stable as it is. Having alternative and effective ways of cooling is a survival necessity for us and for the planet. I remember weeks without power after Katrina and other hurricanes and it being so damn hot you couldn’t think.

But fans aren’t something you find a lot of research about, or a lot of practical guides to. There’s a few reasons for this.

1. Fan” is a word with two meanings, and the one we are using it for is vastly less popular.

2. There’s not a lot of additional words you can add to a search that will clarify what you are looking for (plus, search engines are getting worse)

3. Many fans didn’t survive well in the archeological record. Many of the materials rot fast and break apart easily. Additionally, broken fans may have been used for secondary purposes in food production, arrow making, etc, that leaves little evidence of even broken fans around.

4. Fans that are preserved in museums and private collections are rarely the very practical, every day fans people actually used. Preserved fans are typically status symbols or art pieces that would have seen less use and less wear and tear.

5. A lot of people who don’t think very deeply about this kinda assume that fans didn’t really exist before or outside of the East Asian folding fan…which is just,… not true. Regardless, most of the focus of writing about fans is on this one specific category of fans. Which, the information can be helpful, but is limited in scope.

Anyway, if you have any information, articles, books, or museum pieces to direct me to please let me know.

Alternatively, please feel free to reblog this with examples of your cultures traditional cooling systems, whether they are fans, construction styles, clothing, etc.

Draco had followed his parents to this Caribbean island as a matter of course, even though no one had told him what they were doing here or why his father’s ships were frequently attacked by masked pirates. And, honestly, Draco’d had no intention of actually finding out either.

My review on BOLAS 2

In general I found the sequel to be a worthy successor to book 1. It had lots of funny scenes, heartfelt moments and surprising twists. Most of the new art was great and high quality as usual and I really enjoyed the world building. The main aspects that felt lackluster were romance and the final battle, plus a few smaller annoyances.

Things I liked:

world building - the story not only vastly expanded but almost turned the lore we'd learned in book 1 upside down. It was cool learning that the world isn't just black and white, the evil shadow realm and the good light realm, but much more complicated and each side sees the other as bad guys. It was a positive surprise to learn that amongst the dangerous monsters there were ordinary and good-hearted people living in the shadow realm. Tyril and Nia even had existential crisis after learning that dwarves were using shadow magic without getting corrupted.

complex (ex-)villains - that snarky Aerin was very annoying at first but it was hard to keep hating him even after the damage and heartache he'd caused in book 1, especially since Nia who'd suffered the most was able to forgive him. Similar thing with Valax. At first she seemed like a typical one-dimensional villain with a single wish to wipe out the light realm. Then it turned out she was just a purpose built tool and brainwashed to carry out someone else's world domination plans. In reality Valax was compassionate and cared about her people and sadly had never felt love and affection. Even the couple from the shadow court was strangely sympathetic.

dark and twisted moments - especially what happened to Cherta's grandmother. The way she turned into an ugly and murderous creature when Cherta was trying to keep her alive must have been an extremely traumatic experience. All the challenges the girl went through to find cure for her grandma only for it all to end in such an ugly manner. The couple of times when the MC had PTSD attacks were also heavy and heartbreaking. Or how we fed a cute puppy to a dragon for a magical feather.

Art - I loved most of the CGs, the one with Nia telling a story to kids was especially sweet and tear-jerking. The party artwork was a bit funny though, especially giant Nia just posing for us while others were busy with important stuff. New backgrounds were beautiful and new characters like the dwarves and goblins looked interesting. And why are evil women always so damn hot? I liked the original looks of LIs more but the redesigns were alright too, although I had to correct Nia's hairline to keep it consistent with book 1 hairstyles. Premium outfits were well done too, though I complained how different in style the male and female Whimsywood outfits were. My favourite was the male Shroudwatch outfit.

Things that weren't so great

pacing - The story started off very quickly. Following a short recap the MC was immediately kidnapped and after escaping and getting the gang back together it was a constant running and fighting. Luckily the story slowed down a bit later and we finally had more time to really catch up with our friends and loved ones after 3 years of waiting. The story should have focused more on how the kidnapping affected everyone. Those were the best scenes.

romance - some may like the poly/harem style freedom that they can easily romance anyone whenever they want without any limits and repercussions but for me it took away the sense of progression. It often felt like romancing my LI in book 1 meant nothing. There were a few rare moments where it changed a scene a bit but most of the time it seemed like we were merely friends. I'd like to see more acknowledgement that I'm dating one character, especially from other characters. I don't want my LI to be called just a friend when they're clearly more than that. I would have loved for an opportunity to lock to a certain romance path or involved parties to sit down and discuss polyamorous relationship. It was also strange that the MC had to sleep alone and couldn't choose to stay with the LI after making love. Another thing that grinded my gears were the romantic choices. Almost all of them were about asking a kiss from the LI, even with Valax after just a few flirty options. It's nice when picking romantic choices leads to kissing as well but romance is so much more than pushing tongues down each other's throats. Where are the tender moments, pouring one's heart out, cuddling etc? The romance has become too shallow and lustful in Choices books.

the main villain - The Ash Empress could have been an equally complex character like her daughter. After all, she turned out to be the former Mother of Grey, an old deity with an unfortunate destiny who was good-natured at first but banished to the shadow realm where she got corrupted. However, besides a tiny glimpse of hope for redemption, she remained a typical one-dimensional evil character with a banal desire to conquer the world. She didn't seem very dangerous and frightening either, despite her looks. Everyone kept making fun of the empress which easily triggered her. And defeating her felt super easy, barely an inconvenience.

the final battle - I think it was too big and convoluted. There was a lot going on, the MC kept running from one place to another to help others but the stakes never felt high enough or the odds against us, unlike the first book.

Other remarks + hopes and expectations for book 3

I wonder why the Watcher left the rift near the White Tower for last. After all, that's where our journey began in book 2. It doesn't make any sense besides plot convenience.

I guess since the story teased a new world deep below ours, we are going to spend most of the time there, which is how PB was able to give us such important choices at the end. We probably won't be seeing the consequences of our choice for long, only in the first chapter until we get the gang back together and start a new adventure. Later on it will probably just be mentioned here and there.

throughout the first two books we've had a chance to learn so many skills and find so much helpful magical bling that our MC feels very overpowered already. All of them seem underused as well. So, instead of being introduced to a plethora of new stuff, we could finally put the 27(!) already learned skills to good use and focus on something else...

...like characters. We now have 6 LIs who all are hungry for our attention. Let's spend more time with them. And the social quests could also have platonic routes. I would have gladly spent on scenes with others besides my LI but unlike WTD the 30-diamond scenes were purely romantic.

Threep (and Loola) should rejoin the crew. The owlbear cub was cute and Mal constantly picking on Tyril was funny but Threep was one of the highlights of book 1.

No more "💗 I'd like a kiss" choices. The heart icon already hints at the romantic choice, the rest doesn't have to be so obvious and should allow the writers to be more creative.

I hope to experience more moments that make us laugh, cry, puke, pull the hair out and punch the screen. Action scenes can be fun but it's the emotions I mostly look forward to.

Strange Psychokinetic Strategy (my fav L3 movie !!

i HATE how people immediately see this movie and how it's more manga-like and go "this is so bad" when it really isn't??? for the first lupin movie, this is really decent and it's honestly super enjoyable to watch if you just want something simple and entertaining

while the actors look nothing like.. the characters, they serve the personality quite well and honestly.. i love lupin's n fujiko's drip sm its so awesome. also! despite it being live action, they incorporate a lot of cartoonish elements like editting the actors movements and using a lot of goofy sound effects, it's really funny

the plot is- quite decent! it's very simple but effective for introducing the characters and does everything just right for keeping your attention. it's nothing groundbreaking, and there's barely any suspense, it's quite literally just a very long manga chapter, but a fun one at that!

there is a slightly explicit sex scene around the second half though so be careful about that, it doesn't affect you much just to skip it.

Daisuke Jigen Live Action

another live action! and man, this one FUCKIN DELIVERS. this movie is just so. phenomenal. it's not very lupin the third-ish, since the mc is jigen, but the story is so captivating and interesting. AND FOR ONCE. I CARED ABOUT THE SIDE CHARACTERS LIKE HOLY SHIT THAT HAS RARELY HAPPENED BEFORE!!!

hehehehehe new TTRPG just got delivered and oh my gosh it's so pretty

Eat the Reich by Rowan, Rook and Decard is genuinely one of the most stylish looking games I've seen in a hot minute, and while I've yet to have a chance to run a game, I'm obsessed with it nonetheless! The basic premise is that it's 1943, Europe is in flames during the 2nd World War, and you are all a part of a crack squadron of vampires being sent to occupied Paris to do one thing and one thing only; Drink all of Hitler's blood. There's a full list of the stuff I got and my thoughts below the cut.

It arrived in this really cool manila folder, like just look at the detail!! like this alone would be such a neat thing to have sitting on my desk just as a prop, but this is only the beginning

The book itself is nothing short of a masterpiece, and honestly the pictures do not do it justice. The title is done with a really nice glossy finish, the cover has an amazing texture along the bottom and back to give the sensation of dried blood. the inside also folds out!! that little slit in the front is a full piece of art, and it really sells the appearance of peering into a coffin. The style of the entire book is genuinely so crunchy and good and I wanna put it in my mouth-

There's also the bookmark, coin, and patches which, once again, are so stylish and feel so high quality. I've been just stimming with the coin since I got it, the patches are so bright and look so pretty, and the bookmark is just fantastic. Pretty much everything from this is something I'd genuinely wanna get tattooed on me. There is one more thing I got, arguably the most important piece from this entire set...

WE GOT PIN-UPS BABY WOOOOOOOOOO! So the game comes with six characters you can play as (there are options to make your own), and there are associated character sheets within the book, but good golly these got me blushin' up a storm so hard that they can all smell the blood in my cheeks. From left to right, top to bottom, we have: - Cosgrave, a hackney necromancer who's on the run from the undead mafia of East London, crooked, charming, and damn lucky. - Nicole, a resistance guerrilla fighter and demolitions expert. Turned by her girlfriend and packing hella heat, she wants to meet a glorious end in battle. - Iryna, the Old Money occultist and the black sheep of her clan, who provides a significant portion of the funding to F.A.N.G. - Chuck, a whole-ass-real-ass corpse eatin' cowpoke. Genuinely a sweetheart, if you can look past that bit. He's on this mission not just to survive, but to earn freedom after eating a county sherrif and half his deputy. - Astrid, an ex-fighter pilot that was bitten by something in the frozen taiga, now bearing the soul of a wild predator within her. - Flint, the half-human half-bat, all nightmare. He's a cave-dwelling hunter who may or may not talk, possibly because he's just shy. Each of the characters have their own unique traits, abilities and stuff and I wanna kiss them all so bad it's not even funny man they're all so goddamn fine I'd let them drink me dry for just a single chance to feel the sweet nip of their lips against my skin, like being granted by a mere glimpse of heaven while still on earth simply by the hand of some foul creature who has not seen the light of God in far too long for simply doing what they must to survive, just. I need help.

Anyway uh. Eat the Reich is a goddamn beautiful game, thank you Rowan, Rook and Decard for making hot nazi-killing vampires that have not paid rent within my mind despite occupying it since like August of last year.

For as Guinaifen spotted the back of a familiar coat, she'd excuse herself from the group of people she had been hanging out with, sneaking her way over to Caelus as she'd, gently (not surprisingly) would place her hands on his shoulders in a light bap; " -- what'cha doing ?"

A teasing tone, one followed by a warm laughter as she'd step beside him, hands gliding off his shoulders. "Have someone requested help with their cranes again ? Those silly birds... machine ? Birdchines ? I don't know !" One hand off, the other seemed to take a moment longer to come off his shoulders.

"I was just about to head down to my costume contact and see about some new, sweet styles for my upcoming performance ! Would you like to join ? We could try matching costumes together and I could make a video out of it ! " Beaming, gold gaze would close as grin widened beside him. " It'd would look so cool !"

A return to life upon the Luofu held its goals. Primarily, being neck deep in the affairs that could be considered the class known as odd jobs, a realm where legends can intentionally and accidentally run across!

This is exactly why he had a momentarily scowl etched across his face. Just the mere idea of being surrounded by those damn mechanical herons was enough to make his mind scream in distaste. (No need to worry about how he ran to find three of those little bastards hiding away under the platform where the divine Matrix was held!) So to say he was a little hot blooded today would be an understatement.

Just a little bit grouchy.

So once that carefully positioned hand found itself capturing his shoulder, the tension hadn't worked into the muscle, yet his eyes were reflecting an entirely different story for someone who dared to have enough moxie to cross him now! Thus he'd come to turn, boiling vigor wholly prepped to give this person an appropriate greeting!

Wait. He knows that voice. Underneath the glory of this artificial sun, that once wildly angered look finds itself being inverted. Their golden gazes would once again connect, and within this moment, what Caelus believed he witnessed was a work of modern art. It was the sort that made sublime understanding be woven in the way his heart skips a beat.

Beautiful. In his Heart of Hearts, there truly was no better way to put it with the way Guinaifen was posed.

What exactly did he find himself so pissed about again? The essence of frustration found itself losing all hooks, and instead being consigned to a slippery slope once the flow of those strawberry pink tresses flowed within the breeze as her laughter served as a melodious chime. "Gui--" His voice begins, only to collapse once she takes the lead with a curious note. (As if he'd ever mind.) The mere thought her intuition managed to hit that nail on the head was amazing in itself. He once pictured it would've been a steaming tirade over those mechanical dumbasses that would've been the first thing roaring free.

Yet, here he was basking in an instant of laughter, the relieving sort that lets the boulders roll off. Her hands were simply much better instead.

"Alright mind reader! If ya need to know, that business been havin' their local pain in the asses doing their thing again. Tellin' ya, I'm starting to feel like one of those storysung super heroes more at the day. With the busy work." He adds in, giving a wriggle of his fingers for nonsensical emphasis. Inevitably, a smile situated upon Caelus's lips simply due to being in her presence again.

In the sunlight.

That leads into the interesting idea that found itself proposed. Some new outfits? Some new kicks? There was the silver lined measure that they'd be making a new impact upon the fashion scene together no less. While ol' reliable (what he's wearing) would always be near and dear, finding some shared rhythm was sounding more fun by the second. Being spontaneous in kind, within moments Guinaifen would find he makes a reach over his own, an intentional arm slung around her shoulders, settling securely in order to pull her taller frame down just a touch, closer to him.

"N' what? Go and get the world a lil more jealous in how we'd be having the red carpet rolled out wherever we go?" The smugness practically radiates, a gentle tap of the knuckles being made against her gut.

"Hell yeah I'd be down! Mind if we grab some drinks while on the way? I've been a lil thirsty."

On another note? The unspoken reason didn't have to be expressed in this moment of closeness.

A desire, to simply commit this particular smile to memory.

After years of restraint, the desperation for Hannibal season 4 finally consumed the last tatters of my dignity and got me to read fan fiction, and my my, the dark side is fruitful (and fruity). I’ve only just tiptoed into the dungeons, but here are my favorite post-fall, canon compliant stories so far, plus my long winded spoiler free description of what I liked especially. Enjoy, hedonists.

Completed. Damn good characterization - realistic dialogue, slow burn without being frustrating, eventually things pick up both murder-wise and husband-wise. Soul-searching, jaded Will, and mildly entertained, smitten, and groggy Hannibal. Great exchanges with supporting characters, masterful development of tension and danger. I laughed, gritted my teeth, and felt butterflies in my stomach every single chapter. Minimal smut, kinda just okay (you’ll know when you get there so you can steer clear if you like.) They take an escape road-trip while in the process of healing. Great work, please speak at my funeral, thank you goodnight

Completed. Mystery story with a fascinating plot, romantic and well written, slow but steady burn. Good characterization: getting-settled, generally peaceful Will; unreadable but terribly likable Hannibal. Awesome composition and foreshadowing - satisfying payoffs of plot threads and characters. Genuinely funny and touching at many points. Bits of prose poetry in places, consistent writing style: I was so immersed I tried to press “pause” on my computer a few times when I took breaks. Great development of main characters’ interactions and relationship. Minimal smut, positively excellent if I do say so myself, you’ll know when you get there.

Completed. Goddamn delightful. Domestic fun while still working through some residual unsureness while living together, mutual pining, little gifts and jokes, eventual cuteness and a bit of smut (good quality.) They’re professors at a university in Ireland and it’s super cool - simple but rich plot and exploration of characters in new situations. Confident, clever and adorable Will; doting, relatable, and on just the right side of reprehensible Hannibal. Dancing, art, music, sharing space. I had a pleasant smile on my face most of the time, and the rest of the time the smile was exuberant. There is a dog.

Incomplete: beware. Great writing, pacing, characterization, and dialogue. Enjoyable plot points and moods: at multiple points I pumped my fist internally and muttered “hell yeah.” Just a joy. Getting settled, recovering, not too slow or too fast, learning trust and sharing space. Both mains extra likable: hot, sassy, but soft will, and cunning, dashing, and sincere Hannibal. Not precisely slow burn because it’s satisfying from the beginning, with a gradual build to more than canon provided. Plans to murder enemies and make a life together. Excellent scene construction that warranted fanart multiple times.

So yeah there ya go. What can I say, the dark side is a fun place to indulge oneself. Please feel free to send me your recommendations, I like reading people’s takes on what happened post-fall. I’m not into much canon divergence or any AUs, and I generally prefer full stories but one shots are awesome too :)

Part 1:

It's a normal Thursday morning, Ellie wakes up with only 5 hours of sleep, lately she jumps from one club to another, from one party to another.

Her break up affected her a lot, when she left her heartbroken phase she became a whole new person ready to meet the love of her life, meet new people in general, live life the way she wanted it.

It was a sudden change but she never felt more free and happy. She is able to see her friends more often and she doesn't have a stupid man slowing her down. Making her life miserable, abusing her and making her be at the lowest part of her life.

Today Ellie is going to a party, she has doubts about it since the host is literally a dealer with the worst fame possible, but you know what they say right? You only live once so live your fullest. At least that's what Ellie tells herself to feel better. Even though the party is going to be a more chill and relaxed gathering of people there will still be lot's of drugs and alcohol, but her friends convinced her to go, that she will have nothing to worry about and she will be perfectly fine. What's the issue with being amongst high and drunk people right? Oh well...

It's currently 9pm and the party starts at 1am, Ellie gets in the shower, she loves to take hot boiling showers, she finds them very relaxing she loves feeling the warm water hitting her skin. After she finished her shower she dried herself up and laid down to bed waiting news from her friends on what they are going to wear for today's event.

She is thinking of wearing a short black dress, plain and simple with some black high heels and some jewelery. She is going to straighten her hair, that's what she always does, back when she had long beautiful hair she would often do some beach waves and she looked absolutely stunning, just like a princess, now her hair is still gorgeous but it's short, she doesn't have much options on how to style them so she just let's them be straight.

She opens her closet and the black dress is nowhere to be found, she runs downstairs and asks her mother if she has any idea on where it could have been. "Mom? Mom?" She shouts while getting down the stairs, "Yes my darling what is it?" Her mother answers her call, "Have you seen my short black dress? I can't find it anywhere" she asks her mother, "It's right here baby I just finished ironing it be caref-" "AOUCH!!" The dress was burning hot and it caught Ellie by surprise,"I tried to warn you.. hahah" her mother says chuckling "great joke mom I almost burned myself but whatever will let it cool for a while, thank god you didn't burn it with that temperature"

Ellie goes back upstairs to chill with her cat and listen to some music, Chase Atlantic released a new album just 2 weeks ago and she can't stop listening to it. Time passes as she is stroking her beautiful cat which she deeply loves and its time to start getting ready.

She starts by putting on her clothes, that dress fits perfectly on her body and the high heels make her look very classy, you know.. if only the dress wasn't so short of course.

Later on she proceeds to do her make up, Ellie studies the art of make up and aesthetics, so she knows how to do make up and she damn good in doing it aswell, today she wants to do a simple make up whereas the other days she would do a full glam look with gorgeous siren eyes. Today she will put on just the basics, foundation some contour and blush and of course a long winged eye liner, Ellie's all time favourite.

After she finishes her make up she sends a message to her friends that she is ready to go and they should come pick her up whenever they ready.

Her friends arrive half an hour later, they pick her up, Jess is driving which means she is the one that is going to be sober and take care of the rest of the friend group.

Ellie, Jess, Marry and Jane have been together since 3rd grade and they have been inseparable, they've been through all sorts of things for so many years since all of them turned 20 this year, Ellie is an aquarius, Jess a capricorn, Marry an aries and jane a scorpio, they have their ups and downs but they always go through everything together.

The 4 girls arrive at the party around 1:30am, a lot of people have gathered already but no one interesting caught Ellie's attention, the moment she turns around she can't believe who her eyes have seen, it was james her ex boyfriend. Ellie stumbles on her feet catching Jess' attention, the moment Jess realises what is going on she grabs Ellie to pull her aside away from him but her efforts were in vain.. James had already approached them.

Ellie is on the edge of a mental breakdown she can't stand the sight of him, she can't bear being with him for even a split second, she despises him for everything he has done to her, he is a monster.

"Hello there, long time no see Ellie." James says with a smirk on his face, it angers Ellie so much how he is so cool about their meeting after so long, how he can look at her in the eyes like nothing has happened. "Get away from her right now or else-" Jess says full of anger, she can barely hold herself back,

"Or else what redhair?" James knew very well that the nicknames he gives Jess annoy her and is trying to make things worse.

Ellie is too stunned to say or do anything she just gets up and leaves this room, Jess follows and quickly the rest of the girls notice them and follow up.

"What happened is everything okay? why do you look like you've seen a ghost?" Marry asks Ellie but Ellie is still shocked by his appearance. "That bastard James dared to show up on us how dare he" Jess says still pretty much angry.

A few minutes pass and the girl calm down Ellie begins to come back to herself "im fine everything is fine i will just ignore him, i said i dont care about him anymore remember?" Ellie says and puts a broken smile on her face.

2 hours into the party the girls are having fun and James is nowhere to be found Ellie thought to herself that she finally got rid of him and can relax now...

But to her surprise James shows up from behind of her and pulls her aside without her friends noticing anything, "please give me one more chance to explain myself, i just wanna talk baby" James says with a soft smile on his face, "dont call me your fucking baby, get away from me" Ellie says with tears filling her eyes, "please just come with me for a second i want to apologise properly, all this time we were separated i couldn't stop thinking about you, how much of an asshole i was to, please just come with me for a walk.."

Ellie takes a step back wondering if she should trust him or not, she really wanted that apology..

Ellie follows James out of the house as they're walking James is apologising and explaining his actions, how sorry he is and how much he is hurting for what he has done, how much he wants to start over be with her and treat her the way she deserves to be treated.. But all these are nothing but lies.

Ellie and James have come close to the woods they walked pretty far away Ellie is starting to get a weird gut feeling that she must run away immediately as James has stop talking.

He grabs her wrist and puts his hand over her mouth as he tries to drag her more into the woods, Ellie is trying to fight her way out of this situation but James is bigger and stronger, Ellie regrets the moment she agreed to go with him, she can't do anything to free herself from his grab, she starts kicking and hitting him but all this was in vain.. this was it, this was the end for her he was going to assault her again and again like he used to, there is no way out so Ellie gives up.

He lets go of her while they are deeper inside the woods Ellie starts running and screaming for help but what sane person would be in the woods specially this time?

James loved to hunt his victim that's what he always did, so he started running after her screaming and laughing at her, Ellie's vision was blury since tears were running down her face and this whole place was dark only with the light of the moon shining upon them.

Suddenly the footsteps stop Ellie can't hear James running after her, she thought she finally run away but this was just the beginning of his hide and seek twisted game.

Time passes and Ellie is wondering alone in the woods the tears cant stop running down her cheeks and James is nowhere to be found.

The agony and fear are tiring her appart she can't help but sob and wimper, cry and scream for somebody to come and rescue her from this madness.

As she is running she stumbles on a branch of a tree and she falls down and scratches her knee, it hurts which makes her limp a little but she doesn't give up, she still going on until she finds help.

A few minutes pass Ellie still wondering around the woods and out of a sudden she hears a noise.. branches snapping, it gets closer, RUN she tells herself, she tries to run as fast as she can to run away from there, James catches up he throws her to the ground and starts choking her, Ellie grabs a big rock and hits him in the head she manages to run away, for now.

James is dizzy but he is still following her, he wont let her go that easily. "fucking bitch im gonna kill you" he screams at Ellie and running after her until a loud thud sounds, Ellie hears voices in the distance finally somebody came for help, she starts yelling and screaming for help.

She walks back to the direction of where James was only to witness a tall man getting up from the ground where he was literally beating up James.

He is tall very handsome with medium length straight black hair his blue eyes are shining like fireflies in the moon light amongst the dark of the night, he is wearing an all black fitted suit showing of his perfectly muscular body, his hair got messy in the fight and his fists full of blood.

The mood suddenly changes and Ellie caught herself staring at this handsome man that came to her resque.. a voice brings her back to the scenery "Hello? are you okay? Hello?" The mysterious man calls for her but she is dozed off, so many things to process at once. "Yes.. im okay.." Ellie realised that she is alone with another man at the woods a sense of fear comes across her and she backs off from the man "Im not going to hurt you, i know the way out of the woods" the man tells her with a reassuring look on his face, after all he is the one that saved her.

Ellie decides to go with him than keep getting lost in the woods, her friends afterall are probably looking for her.

Ellie cannot believe herself that she got caught up in one of James traps again, she cannot forgive herself for believing his act, but now all she cares about is to get out of the woods go to home safely.

"Excuse me sir, i forgot to thank you.. I- thank you for saving me from him he is an ex of mine.. if you didnt co-" Ellie says but she is interrupted " Alex my name is Alex and no worries, i can't let a woman alone in the woods with such dangerous man" Alex says giving a soft smile back at Ellie, she is very flattered. "By the way, whats your name?" Alex asks "My name is Ellie, nice to meet you Alex". They both exchanged smiles.

After minutes of walking they arrive at the house the party was going on, only to find the police outside, Alex immediately pulls Ellie back and hide "Why did you pull me aside its just the police" Ellie asks "shh they might spot us, keep quiet".

Ellie soon notices that the house is empty with only a few people in which means her friends had already left, how was she supposed to go home now? Her house is very far away for her to walk in the middle of the night. An idea comes up to her mind.

"Alex." Ellie says with a serious tone, "what is it?" Alex asks her with a query look, "would you.. mind take me home? i will pay you i promise" Alex chuckles "that's it? you scared me for a second, of course i will take you home".

They get away from the police officers and finally get to Alex's car, they both get in and in that moment Ellie realised she had left her stuff to Jess to look after them.

Time passes and Alex and Ellie finally arrive in her house. "Alex, what do i owe you?" Ellie asks since she offered to pay, "Nothing. Just this" Alex leans in and gives Ellie i kiss on the cheek, Ellie is too stunned to say anything, her face is all fluttered and red she didn't expect Alex to do such thing "Good bye now Ellie, here's my number if you get in trouble call me, and something else never tell anyone about what happened".

Alex gives her a wing and leaves immediately, Ellie is still shocked about everything that happened so she doesn't give it much thought she went to sleep thinking she will deal about it tomorrow.
