The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond: pick me up and sling me over your shoulder like those bags of grain pls (edit to title after watching through: Men are stupid)
I’ve never done a complete 180° flip on characters like this in a movie before. Let’s go through it, shall we?
This movie did NOT offer subtitles, and I’d be lying if I said it was easy to understand the southern accents without them. And that’s with my keen ability to understand a Pittsburgh accent, which is arguably worse at times.
Absolutely wild, but when do I not exaggerate and say that? This is somewhat of a play-by-play of what was going through my mind as I watched.
First off, CE was to die for in the movie. I don’t know exactly what it was about it (I know exactly what it was) but I fell in love. Country accent Chris Evans is something else, but Boston accent is much better. But this is a good look, I like it.
Such a simple man with a good heart, and smart enough to get a scholarship to ole miss!? He seemed decent, and the acting was actually pretty good.
The little clueless look of mild discomfort on his face the whole time was so adorable. Any time he was at a party or visiting his mother. I also took note of the way this disappeared as soon as he was home with his dad. As soon as he was in his domain and in control. This is me commending his ability to portray that dichotomy of environments.
But fr, like, how does everyone know who he is and not say anything about him being poor?
I love the way he turned down Caroline at the dance tho. He very obviously does not want to be there, but isn’t that the point? But that statement about him being hired by Fisher struck an alarm for me. Is she almost fetishizing the poor boy?
Fishy is outta left field. It’s unfortunate she’s been forced into this kind of a life, but she’s… a lot.
Also, it’s movies like this that remind me how much the south lags in terms of modernity and stays rooted in tradition sometimes. Like, if you think about it, this takes place at a very similar time as to when Steeb was growing up in Brooklyn in cap, but like, it’s totally worlds away.
Omg, not him hinting at being an escort to make ends meet and get his mom better. He’s ready to sell his soul and body to this girl for his ma and a condition that can’t really heal.
Vinnie definitely saw the diamond in the driveway. I saw her look down when she first saw Jimmy.
Omg not Jimmy having a condom on him during that strip search. Iolllllll
Also also, not the assisted suicide. This lady on her death bed is really spitting facts. It’s a rude awakening for dear Fishy. She knows how much she loves Jimmy and knows that really should be her number one concern.
Poor thing is just peculiar and no one gets her. But to be fair, she does not make it easy.
Fishy, have fun in Europe. You deserve it. You need to get outta this town. It’s not for you. Rip. She doesn’t leave.
I JUST SQUEALED. The way he backed her up against that wall when she’s talking about the way he dresses. I’m gonna throw up. Do that to me. Please. Oop. She struck a nerve talking about his father.
The boys in the yard absolutely suck. All boys in this movie suck.
Why does Jimmy like Vinnie so much? Everyone else very evidently does not.
Dude, tbh the postman game makes me uncomfortable. No need for all this young adult fornication is too much.
I get it’s Halloween, but these costumes and masks are fucking creepy as hell. I didn’t sign up for Fishy’s opium fever dream. She is good at playing the piano tho. Poor thing is in pain.
I FUCKING KNEW IT. Vinnie sucks. And Jimmy just slept with her!!! I’m CRYING. THIS IS SO FUCKED UP. I CANT BELIEVE YOU JUST DID THAT, JIMMY. I BLAME BOTH OF YOU, LITTLE BITCHES. (This was very evidently the moment of the switch-up. Little horny bastardized ruining everything. Keep it in your pants until you have the full story.) (I’m not hating on him for sleeping with Vinnie, I’m hating on him for not seeing Vinnie’s poor character sooner.)
Fisher, you’re a queen, calling Jimmy a scared little boy in the dark. Jimmy, you ARE such a stupid little boy. No way you like these people even though you say you do. Everyone here sucks. This all is making me soupy saddy in the bad way.
Not her saying Jimmy is like god to her. Fishy!!!! You know nothing of what he’s done.
He convinced Vinnie to give back the Diamond. I TOLD YOU knew that she stole it. I really don’t know what he saw in her. Sure, no shame in being poor, but she still kinda sucks
Now that Jimmy is driving Fishy home, he’s still being a little bitch. Check yourself, boy, I swear.
Ohhhhhh. He didn’t want to be with Fisher bc he thinks she can do better than him? I mean, agreed, but that’s still no excuse for your immorality.
They both know she doesn’t belong, but she’s got a lot to stay for. Use your Paris education to fix the world, girl!!!
Despite Jimmy’s amusement of Fisher at the first party and his confession at the end, she still does not get enough credit besides the one lady on her deathbed
Poor Fisher knows no one will ever love her or see her for who she truly is. This is so sad. So I guess he finally kissed her at the levee? What an unsatisfying ending. Fishy deserves the world and Jimmy is such a BOY😭🙄.

Short ezkayn comic loosely inspired by the song "Figure you out" by VOÍLA. God they live rent free in my brain.
Details on the backstory and the comic under the cut <3
Starting pre-relationship, heartsteel is established. Ezreal and Kayn have been heavily flirting (maybe even friends w benefits) for months already, but always danced around actually saying anything. Both are too prideful to make the first step, because it's one thing to flirt or (want to) hook up and a whole other thing to admit you have actual romantic feelings for your friend/band member/prank partner.
After an Incident (whatever it was) that made Ezreal uncomfortably aware that he's In Love, he tries to distance himself from their usual flirtatious banter and starts publicly dating/fooling around with another guy; to distract himself from Kayn, to prove to himself he doesn't need Kayn, and though he wouldn't admit it, to make Kayn jealous.
Predictably, Kayn does get jealous but holds his tongue for a surprisingly long time, since voicing his jealousy risks showing his feelings go deeper than physical. Still, he can only take so many obviously staged pictures of Ezreal Definitely being Super Happy and Not At All Faking it with another guy before he confronts him. He swallows his pride and corners Ez, which is where the comic starts.
I didn't feel like writing dialogue, so here's the gist of what I was envisioning. Kayn confronts Ezreal, telling him to drop the sharade with the other guy. It's Obvious he's not genuine with it, the guy bought him (insert thing that Kayn Knows Ez doesn't like as much as another thing; ice cream flavour, flowers, what have you) which Ez would usually scoff at. Because it's Kayn, he can't help but tease with smth like "Just admit you like me and spare us this performance".
Ezreal, defensive, starts denying everything Kayn said, insisting he's dating the guy for real and bc he likes him, and Kayn's ego is just too big etc etc. Unfortunately for him tho, he's been missing Kayn a whole lot, so having grabbed Kayn's wrist, he can't help himself but caress it with his thumb. He stops himself the moment the realized, but Kayn noticed as well and takes that as the sign he needs that Ez is full of shit.
He pins Ezreal's hand above his head and starts teasing him in earnest. Listing all the little tics he noticed about Ezreal, embarrassing things he likes that no one outside of Heartsteel (or maybe even just Kayn, since he's paying extra close attention to Ezreal) ever gets to see, how easy it is to get him hot and bothered and how cute he is when he's flustered like this. He keeps going until Ezreal, overwhelmed with this barrage of confusing emotions (Kayn is paying attention to him, he remembers what he likes and dislikes, he just confirmed all his teasing are On Purpose to fluster him-), decides to bring it back to familiar ground. He grabs his jacket, pulls him close and tells him to shut up.
If they have hooked up before, Kayn knows what comes after he says "make me" - the kiss is expected but simultaneously way more emotionally charged than ever before, because they have essentially both admitted their feelings. Post comic, they make out/hook up and then confirm it in actual words. They like each other, theyre going to be exclusive (bc I love them being possesive over each other)
If they haven't hooked up before: Ezreal would usually find a comical way to shut Kayn up once he says "make me" - be that smothering him with a nearby couch pillow, pulling the leash on his stage outfit, etc. Kayn feels the electricity between them but this hasn't happened before. He leans in and says "make me", but he leaves the ball in Ez's court. Once Ez grabs the back of his head to pull him closer, Kayn shifts his other hand to hold onto his waist in turn.

He still has those episodes sometimes, like when he gets too angry at his dad and goes and does something dangerous or stupid
It always ends up with him hurting himself in some way
Sometimes he takes his anger out on you, he would never hit you or anything but he can get pretty mean
He always regrets it immediately after
After a fight, he feels too shitty to go back to you and apologize
So he just stays away for a bit, the longest he’s been away is a week
You legitimately thought he left town or something
He just hates seeing you cry and feels like the biggest asshole ever
As your relationship progresses, you’d be able to discuss these things with him a bit more
He’s still very quick to blow up and get angry, but he really tries his best
After a while, he stops leaving for such a long time, coming back after just a few hours

New fic idea: Jamil VS the ex
Context: Jamil and s/o have been dating for while. Things are going great and everyone is just happy. There are no real jealousy issues on either side cause they trust each other and Jamil is confident he's the best catch around. If there is any jealousy, they talk it out like mature human beings since being petty doesn't solve anything. Though there is defintley possessiveness, it never leaves the bedroom and they both enjoy it.
Introducing the ex: just a complete toxic dump. As in, shitty romance novels stereotypical male lead toxic dump. Just controlling, verbally/emotionally abusive, physically intimidates people, tries to use sex to fix things, doesn't know when to leave their exes alone, gets physical with love rivals, etc. For reference feel free to look at Christian Grey from 50 Shades, Hardin Scott from After, and Edward Cullen from Twilight. Honestly it didn't last more than a week yet the ex continued to stalk our poor reader and ruin any attempt at a finding a new lover.
Cue them getting to NRC and finally having a chance at a relationship with our boy Jamil. But unfortunately all good things must come to an end when reader invites Jamil home to meet their family. Let's say that if the reader is not from TWST then they have a way to dimension travel and the family is in on it.
Jamil is quickly welcomed into the family and they make it clear that he's the best boyfriend the reader has had so far. The reader and their family are quick to warn Jamil about the ex and the sabotages. He learns the details from his albi's angry rants about all the bullshit this guy did.
At one point the reader turns to him and goes: "you have my permission to be as much of a possessive scheming bastard as you want. Ruin his reputation, frame him, humiliate him, I don't care! He's messed with my life far too much for me to care about him anymore. If we run into him, feel free to shove it in his face that I am yours. Hold me, kiss me, leave hickies, whatever! I trust you to know my boundaries and when to do it. Hell, if you manage to get rid of him, then we might as well skip the formalities and go straight to the alter."
Cue Jamil plotting:
1. Get the ego boost from going PDA in front of your lover’s ex. Note: make sure beloved is wearing his hoodie/jersey for maximum boost.
2. Get rid of the abusive ex who's been harming his beloved for YEARS.
3. Plan the wedding.
Meanwhile, the reader is just enjoying the extra affection while munching popcorn as their dear boyfriend gets rid of the biggest nuisance in their life. Yes they get turned on by it, especially the smirk. They're planning to thoroughly spoil him when this is over, both in and out of the bedroom.
Bonus: in your professional opinion, what route would Jamil take to get rid of the ex and how sadistic does he get?

(Also boy am I glad the ex did not get to do too much lasting damage to reader’s ability to have a healthy relationship. Jamil already has enough baggage for both of them to go through. Still, someone get a restraining order on that ex, stat.)

Also ngl this brand of possessive I can definitely get behind.
Also I love that tasklist, just not sure which one I love more, the note to task 1 or just the entirety of task 3. Tho of course, Jamil being Jamil (and I may or may not be projecting here) I’m sure there’d be plenty of subtasks / -steps to each of these.
(Also sidenote yes Jamil definitely would know how to turn up the charm for the in-laws for extra approval points. What a charming well-behaved young man, just delightful 😇)
Now, the options coming to my mind are:
Something “private”: only the ex (and reader) needs to know what happened exactly, but it’s enough to spook the ex and keep him in line. (I mean, getting snake whispered? Should be pretty scary, especially depending on what Jamil does with it. Oh boy, the potential.)
Something public: ruin this guy’s image, future prospects, credit score, everything, make everyone see him for the cretin he is. Might cause backlash depending on just how concerning this guy is, but also long-lasting consequences.
Ignore the gnat, just rub things in his face by just being super sweet and loveydovey wherever he happens to be without ever directly confronting him because he’s not worth the effort (not too likely, Jamil’s definitely way too petty (or incensed) to just leave it at that).
Now, getting information on people may be Azul’s specialty, but I’m sure Jamil won’t have too much trouble finding out enough (like where the ex works, lives, stuff like that. If this is a different world (or even just different country), I’m sure reader can help him with the details of what is possible and all).
And by the sounds of things, this particular jerkwad is bound to turn up anyway. So maybe it’s just a case of waiting and being ready, setting up the favorable circumstances.
So Jamil and s/o would be going out and about. Maybe to the shops, maybe just a walk outside, whatever they know is likely to land them on the ex’s path.
The thing about the hoodie is that it’s not necessarily obvious (to the ex) that it belongs to Jamil, rather than you. So he’d probably go for the jersey (since that name obviously isn’t yours (at least yet)), or weather permitting he’d only loan out his hoodie to you at an opportune time.
Like, as soon as you two realize the ex is around, you’re all oh, it sure is a little chilly isn’t it, have my hoodie my dear, it’ll keep you warm. Cue makeout session (and definitely no smug glances from Jamil to the ex, no siree. Nothing of the sort when he holds you tighter, pulls you closer, lets his hands trail along your back, into your back pockets or perhaps even under your shirt. Definitely.).
When ex comes over, you’re conveniently in a public place (probably conveniently within sight of cameras, too, so there’d be something on record to go to authorities with, if needed, and for extra consequences).
I’m thinking Jamil might be all “innocent”, at least overtly (and as much as he can hold himself back - he’s used to mingling with the high and mighty and keeping face, but this is more personal) - tho there might be some underhanded barbs with plausible deniability, or just all the casual things about how you’re Jamils and how you’ve been together for however long and how Jamil just met your parents etc. Basically just reminding the ex of what he can’t have.
Tho once Jamil distances himself (and you), from the guy, I could see Jamil going to somewhere more secluded (with or without you, depending on how you agreed in advance). And if and when the ex follows, he gets a very different side of Jamil. Sharp tongue, no holds barred, told in no uncertain terms how pathetic and despicable he is, and to keep away from you, your family, and anyone else who has any connection to you. But especially you.
The only problem I have is thinking of just what he’d do to seal the deal. I mean, probably Jamil would make the guy do something bad / unpleasant with snake whisper. Like, make the dude do something humiliating, film it and leave it on his phone for him to find later? Make him go out into the crowds to make a fool out of himself? (Perhaps in a location with his friends / family / whatever around?) Get him to send some very terrible messages to some folks?
I think I’m a bit too nice to think of just how far Jamil could go, and snake whisper does have its limitations, too. Like to really ruin someone, you need to do something more impactful than just one unfortunate action.
(I mean I suppose maybe he could make the dude kill someone and go to prison for that but yeah let’s not.) Robbery, tho? I’m sure there’s some sort of a crime we can squeeze out of the guy that would not be too bad for bystanders (not that Jamil would be that bothered, tbh) but would still be enough of a consequence, and which could still be achieved with snake whisper.
That, or just make the guy walk into a cesspit or something, especially if it’s right before something important.
I’m kinda just spitting this out (and brain’s a bit fried) but also this was such a juicy concept I had to jump on it.
Honestly I feel like there’d be so much more to be said just for the PDA part and the possessiveness and protectiveness Jamil would feel and everything else, and maybe I’ll get back to that another time.

So I just finished reading The Prisoners Throne Excerpt
*sharp inhale* *screams into the void*
AND I HAVE THOUGHTS PEOPLE!!!
First of all WHAT DID CARDAN DO!?!?!?!??! SERIOUSLY WHAT HAPPENED THAT WAS SO BAD THAT OAK THINKS THAT CARDAN WOULD ACTIVELY TRY TO KILL HIM!?!?! They were cool the last time we saw the so WTF!?!
Seriously this part got me so curious I won't be able to stop thinking about it for the next 3 months! Oak has so much hot family drama to spill!!
But moving on from that.
I love how we're finally exploring Oak's charming ability and how he starts doubting it himself if he really did subconsciously use them with Wren
And we got so many moments of Oak recalling his training with the court of shadows. He considers them all his friends and recalls those memories so fondly it was so sweet (he sounded more comfortable with them than when he recalled anything about Jude let alone Cardan apparently). That whole convo with the Ghost was especially adorable:
The Ghost/Garrett: How are your skills with the blade?
Oak: I'm eleven???
Also can we please talk about jealous Oak please! Like my boy, out of all the times and occasions! He's so desperate it's hilarious
Still in the OakWren train, this boy is so down bad it's pathetic. The way he waits for her even if it's just to command or scorn him, simply because he wishes to see her. Regretting every single thing he hid from and feeling like shit because he can't even apologise since she doesn't come see him. BRUTALLY ANNIHILATING that mechanical snake since it could have been going to poison Wren. Pleading to postpone his rescue just so he could talk to her.
Favorite part was when he recalled Wren's betrayed face after she found out the truth and going "Damn yeah I really do deserve to be in here locked up, still need to escape tho, but I deserve this."
Oh Greenbriar men, you and your love for evil women who you accidentally betrayed and kept you imprisoned. Alexa play Loverboy.
Loved that this entire paragraph (besides Cardan's vendetta against Oak WHICH IS KILLING ME) was just Oak going
Oak: Angry vengeful Jude? Yikes. Angry vengeful Wren? Yikes. Angry vengeful Jude and Wren against each other? We're doomed
And finally we at least now know where the ring from the cover came from!
Holly Black did say that an important element in the cover is how the ring is frozen in the brances, unmoving. I wonder if it's some kind of symbolism about Oak's inability to leave Weren, how he is trapped by her not only physically by the briddle, but emotionally too? That would be so cool
Tho this first chapter sneek peak gave me more questions than answers, I really enjoyed getting a feel of what the book would be like from Oak's pov (regretting, simping, scheeming and a whole lot of Keeping Up with the Greenbriar/Duartes). God I can't wait 3 more months I need this book in my hands now!!!

okay listen, he really wasn't expecting you to stay waiting for him when it was this cold outside! it was completely unexpected and he was SO worried when he saw how sick you had gotten within the next few days. he blamed himself for it, since he was the one running late in the first place. aster can't stand seeing you sick either, so he felt so guilty that he let you get this sick in the first place. please let him nurse you back to health, poor boy needs it to feel like he's at least a decent boyfriend.

she's a very energetic person and she can sometimes be pretty oblivious, but she noticed right away that you were getting sick because she had been running behind for that date a few days ago. of course it had to be on such a cold day and she wasn't there to keep you warm. she felt so bad she wouldn't leave your side until you were fully better. maria is a very sensitive person emotionally, so she really doesn't like seeing her beloved partner hurt or sick because she just wants you happy. let the girl snuggle you please. she's a living doll anyway, she can't get sick.
REN ZOTTO ->
due to his alien constitution that differs a bit from a human's, it's nearly impossible for him to get sick. but as soon as he notices the slightest scratch in your voice, he is scrambling to get blankets, a warm drink, and anything else you might want or need. he would probably end up crying a little bit as he apologized to you, since he feels it's his fault for not being there to lend his jacket to you. though with his special alien magic (otherwise known as author-san being too lazy to explain), he'd stop the sickness in its tracks before you got too sick.
SCARLE YONAGUNI ->
don't let her cook for you, even if she is trying to take care of you. god please anything but the candy corn pizza. she'll try her best though to keep you happy and hopefully not feeling absolutely horrible. she'll gladly let you lay your head on her chest while she gently scratches your head and apologizes for not realizing you were getting sick sooner. she'll do everything except cook for you while you're sick, and the only reason she can't cook is because she's banned from the kitchen after the candy corn pizza incident.
KYO KANEKO ->
it's not like he doesn't try, but seeing you sitting there, still shivering, makes him both hurt and angry. you need to be taking care of yourself! he won't raise his voice or anything like that, but he really needs to let you know he cares in a way that he can. he'd be caring for you while calling you stupid and other insults, starkly contrasting the way he was physically so gentle.

random hot takes i have cause i’m bored and emotionally dead:
-i literally cannot stand any leo ship other than leolotus, especially if it involves 87 leonardo. i’m sorry but it has made me physically nauseous before. shipping as a joke or a small crush on someone else is fine but pls don’t bother me about other leo ships it’s too much for me. ((i won’t hate u if u ship other ships dw <3 i just ask not to be bothered by it)
-i’ve already ranted about this so i won’t go into depth but i hate the 2012 season 4 finale (moreso requiem than owari but owari still bothers me). i think in general? i think 2012’s writing is mindbogglingly bad after they leave the farmhouse in season 3, but that doesn’t mean i don’t still enjoy a lot of it. just don’t expect me to drop the issues that bother me. season 1 is my baby tho and i’ll defend it to my dying day.
-2012 apritello is good. they just had to go through character development. my only issue with it is that their entire situation was pushed to the background so ppl only notice their development if they’re paying attention to april and donnie the whole time (like i do).
-1987 treats its girl characters better than the other shows which is shocking.
-capril sucks. i have literally never liked it or was just neutral to it. i got close to liking them in idw but then casey became a jerk.
-that said i don’t like shipping casey or april with the turtles with the one exception of 2012 apritello.
-i think 03 casey and splinter are annoying.
-2012 casey is best casey :p
-2012 michelangelo pisses me off. he has some good lines here and there and sometimes has fun dynamics with other characters but in general he’s just an ableist representation of adhd and he literally never faces consequences for his mistakes and instead everything works out for him so he never grows. like literally he stays the same throughout the show. also i dislike his actor sorry :p and his entire dynamic with renet just ruins renet as a character and it bothers me.
-i forget rise exists most of the time tbh. it’s good but like. i forget. also rise leo and donnie’s writing bothers me anyway-
-1987 content needs to sTOP mischaracterizing raphael PLS PLS PLS. “michelangelo is the jokester and raphael groans at his jokes” NO!!! raphael is the jokester so he gets upset when his brothers make stupid jokes bc that’s HIS thing !!!!!! and he’s not angry in the same way other raphaels are except in red sky when he was angry that they became villains in society’s eyes!!! but otherwise he’s emotional and whiny but not angry!!!

Do you have any headcanons for our golden boi sunfyre ? 🥺
Sunfyre my beloved I'm so sorry all this happened to you in my perfect world absolutely nothing goes wrong with him whatsoever and he gets to live a long and happy life being the prettiest boy in all of Planetos.
I think it's, like, basically canon but technically not confirmed, that Sunfyre is a hatchling from Dreamfyre, given the name similarities and the fact that Dreamfyre is much older (my pet theory is that Sunfyre's egg is Thee Egg that Rhaenyra chose for Baby Baelon and that Daemon subsequently stole).
Sunfyre was not a cradle hatchling. It appears that none of the (on screen) Hightower-Targaryen children had cradle hatchlings (given that Helaena claimed an already old dragon between episodes 6 and 7 and Aemond of course claimed the oldest dragon), either because none of their eggs hatched or Alicent just wasn't placing eggs in their cradles for it. Around when Aegon was two or three, still very young, he somehow got his hands on Sunfyre's egg, and soon after Sunfyre hatched. Sunfyre has never known a life without Aegon in it, and Aegon barely remembers a time where he didn't have Sunfyre. They practically grew up together, though Sunfyre at a much quicker rate.
Seeing as dragons are meant to have an intelligence level on par with humans (even tho ASOIAF and all related media kinda seems to forget that and has relegated them to the role of "cats" but with nukes attached), Sunfyre is aware that he is The Hot Girl. Sunfyre is ridiculously vain, any time he's flying with Aegon on him to command him, he's primping and preening and deliberately flying into as much sun exposure as he can so everyone can see the glint of gold off his scales.
Sunfyre and Aegon are ridiculously close. Far closer than any other dragon and their rider that we've seen in the entire franchise. Yes, even closer than Dany and her children (Dany would have won out but being the first person to raise dragons in over a century means that she clearly doesn't have the right tools for it which is why the kids get rascally in ADWD in a way we didn't see at the Targaryen peak). Like, however close you think they are because of the canon stuff (Aegon's grief when he died, Sunfyre literally dragging his broken body to Dragonstone because he sensed Aegon was there and needed him, all that horrible stuff), that's the tip of the iceberg. They're close not just emotionally but honestly to the point where it's almost like they have a psychic bond. It's rare that Aegon even needs to speak commands verbally, he and Sunfyre know each other incredibly well, almost as if they can literally just sense what's in each other's heads, feel each other's emotions incredibly keenly (that thing dragons and dragonriders have where they can physically feel each other's pain, but multiply it by one thousand). It's borderline mystical, especially when factoring in that both Aegon and Sunfyre only seem to start really recovering from their respective Rook's Rest wounds after they've been reunited on Dragonstone, as if they literally needed each other's presence in order to heal.
Stolen from Twitter (can't remember which account but I saw it and I wept like a baby): Aegon sings to Sunfyre sometimes. Sunfyre really, really likes it. Like, basically turns into a huge overgrown kitten when that happens, tries to get all cuddly even though he knows that Aegon's too small for it now that he's gotten big.
Sunfyre does have a certain amount of affection that extends to other members of Aegon's family, his mother and siblings in particular, and even to their dragons. Yes, even Vhagar. Doesn't matter that she's ancient and bigger and dragon mee-maw, he'll still go into attack mode if someone attempts to fuck her up. Also, a bit cracky considering we don't technically know the full mental faculties of dragons, but he's closest to Tessarion, given that they're closer in age and also Daeron's apparently a natural sweetheart and that temperament might extend to Tessarion as well.
(Addendum to this: Sunfyre spent a lot of time flying with Aemond and Vhagar when Aemond was recovering. Not even just when Aegon was babysitting and making sure Aemond wasn't at risk, but literally just if he was out around the same time as Aemond and Vhagar, he hovered a lot, just to be sure. Aemond has never talked about it but he thinks of it sometimes, when he sees Aegon drunk and wet eyed and feels that twinge of disgust and envy that he tries to push down, when he remembers there's more to Aegon than seen by the naked eye)
This is less about Sunfyre himself and more about his relationship with Aegon, but the bond Sunfyre and Aegon have was Aegon's first real taste of feeling unconditional and requited love. The bond with Sunfyre was the first time in his life Aegon felt that the love he was giving out was being returned to him, and that he wasn't at risk of losing it, the way he's afraid he's done with his siblings and with Alicent. It's why, even above everything else they share, Sunfyre is so important to him, and why he's gutted and griefstricken to the point of kinslaying when Sunfyre dies.
Aegon calls Sunfyre almost primarily by pet names, even when giving verbal commands. And like, really intimate pet names, the kind of pet names you save for, like, your kids. He calls him "sweetling" and "my darling" and "golden boy" and things of that sort all.the.time. Why do I think this? Because my brain spat "Sunfyre sniffs at the blood in the air. Aegon knows now is when he says the word, the fateful word, but he cannot speak through his heart pounding in his throat. Kill her, beloved, he thinks. Kill her for what her ambition did to us. To you. Even to me. Sunfyre shifts, and a keening growl rumbles low in his ruined chest." out at me and I have not known peace since.
When Sunfyre was still small enough and Aegon's siblings and Hell, even the Strong kids were still little, they all adored Sunfyre. They coddled him relentlessly and basically cooed over him 24/7, and both Aegon and Sunfyre were absolutely thrilled with it. Even when down in the Dragonpit with them, before shit started going sideways when some people had dragons and others didn't and the bullying and all, Sunfyre would still put on a bit of a show (as I said, vain) before Aegon would make him behave, which was Aegon's own version of his own show in displaying the bond and mastery he and Sunfyre have with each other.
Aegon had Sunfyre's skull prepped to line the walls of the throne room in accordance to House Targaryen traditions. Aegon III did take it down eventually (obviously, given the memory association), but he only took it down after Alicent Hightower had died and that last shredding of her children's legacy wouldn't hurt her anymore.

❀This is my second one. I was actually planning on doing one with Yuta but I'm being haunted by Inumaki lately. I really wanted to create something based on his technique and mix it up a little with a traumatic event to heighten up the frustration sorrounding the character. The Jujutsu High students don't really have the time to fall in love, but here on Tumblr we make it happen now ¿Don't we?. That doesn't mean I make it easier for them tho. ¡Hope you like it!❀
When Toge's eyes opened, you were the first thing on his mind. Beads of sweat were running down his naked back and torso and his breath was hot and heavy. He spotted Ieiri not far away from him, looking at some files. He was inside Jujutsu High, that much he knew.
The last thing he remembers was Sukuna's domain expansion and a lot of people, civilians, killed. His eyes widened in shock and then he realised... His arm. His left arm had been cut up by Sukuna's domain.
He looked down with the intention of bringing both his hands to the front, but only his right one came into vision. He looked to the left and saw the stump, most of his chest and what was left of his arm all covered in bandages.
Toge was so quiet that Ieiri never realised he was already awake. Quietly, she approached Toge to ask him how he was feeling and talk about the work she'd done on him. She'd definitely think of something to replace the arm, but it was going to take some time.
A few minutes later, they could hear someone running down the hall in their direction. You burst into the room, teary eyed and with the most pained look on your face. Clutching your chest, his name came out of your mouth almost like a whisper.
Toge stood up with a little help from Ieiri. For some reason he wasn't looking at you, even though you were his first thought upon waking up. Suddenly his mind became flooded with negative thoughts. There was something about you seeing him like that, without an arm, without his confidence, scared, not exactly knowing what to do next.
You took one step closer, but he took a few steps back. You stretched your hand towards him, but he turned away from you and shook his head in denial, as if he didn't want you to come near him. He was only showing you one side of him, the right side of his body.
"Toge ¿Are you hiding from me? You don't have to-" you said reaching for his shoulder but he startled you with a harsh grown coming out of his mouth. You stopped yourself, eyeing him up and down, making a whole on the side of his face with your eyes, praying that he'd turn to look at you at least once. You didn't understand.
"Y/n, maybe he needs time to-" Ieiri started talking but you adamantly cut her off.
"No." you said breathing heavily, Toge being your main focus. "¿So you think this is shameful?" You started talking to him with hot tears rolling down your cheeks. Your cupid bow and lips glistened from the brightness of the office lights. "We are friends Toge, I know it's going to take a while, coming to terms with what's happened to you... Physically and emotionally. I came running here hoping you wouldn't be dead. Let me help you now that I'm here... Please, don't hide from me. As long as you are still breathing... ¡Look at me Inumaki Toge! ¡Please!" you pleaded in between sobs.
Toge knew you were right, you were friends and you had shared battles together, and meals too. You had made too many rice balls filled with tuna and mayo for the two of you. He was thrilled that tuna was also your favorite. You listened to music while sharing the same pair of earphones, looking like a happy couple, but you weren't. He never had the courage to properly ask you out on a date and now he hated himself for it.
The skinship was minimal and words were non existent for Toge. His cursed speech technique was a prison for him and it ate him up when it came to you. Sometimes he'd lay on his bed at night, burning up with the desire of having you by his side whispering sweet nothings into your ear. He wanted to make you blush with a fever made out of the sweetest words of the dictionary.
Doing the same activities, enjoying them and keeping them as memories in his mind was the only thing he allowed himself to do when he was by your side. It was beautiful and priceless, but being with you was not the same as having you. He wanted to be your lover.
Having you in front of him was a death sentece. He couldn't be able to confess his love to you and without his arm he'd only be able to give you half of his caresses. That wasn't enough for him. Not when he wanted to squeeze you and hug you so tightly as to smother you with his selfish ways of keeping you close to him, feeling the incesant beating of your heartbeat against his chest. Both his hands on your waist, both his hands on your cheeks, both his hands on your thighs, both his hands holding yours, forever...
Something started to burn inside of him, his hand started to shake and his mind felt like a merry go round. He couldn't take it any longer. He was looking at you now. Your hair, your eyes, the shiny flesh of your juicy red lips, your delicious neck. The shape of your breasts, your legs, your white pearly angel hands... He was looking at you, but with a face that made your eyes widen and turn your expression to one of pure fear.
The feeling was too overwhelming and Toge snapped.
"¡GET OUT! ¡GET OUT OF HERE! ¡FORGET ABOUT ME!" he screamed staring at you hard, eyes open wide, brows down and together. He turned into an explosive and had thrown himself right at you. The physical experience caused by his emotions made him use his cursed speech to kick you out of there.
The words came out of his mouth in huge waves that pushed you back throwing you to the ground, even causing Ieiri to grab onto a bed that was conveniently next to her. She saw you run down the corridor bumping up against Maki and Yuta, practically running over the both of them. They screamed at you several times but you just kept running. Your mind didn't question it.
You stopped for a second to take in your surroundings. You felt so weird standing on an empty hall. You were at Jujutsu High for sure.
"This is..." you turned around and you realised. "If I go back I'd be going in the direction of ¿Shoko Ieiri's office?"
You thought about it for a second. Truth is you felt like you needed to be there but you couldn't put a finger on it as to why that was. Besides ¿You were running away now? Out of nowhere a piercing headache struck you down, but just as you were about to hit the floor Maki had her arms around you holding you up.
"¡Y/n! ¿What happened?" she asked worriedly. "I got you, just stay with me. I'm taking you back to Ieiri's office."
"Ah... That must be it." you said tiredly as Maki was carrying you bridal style down the hall.
"¿What is it?"
"This headache. Now I realise I was coming back from Ieiri's office. I was just standing back there thinking of the reason why I felt like going there, but in reality... I felt like I was going nowhere. I'm confused, I feel a little weird..."
"Well, 'a little' is good I guess." said Maki looking down at you with a smile and you gave her one back.
Of course she was playing dumb, she knew the reason you couldn't remember a thing was because Toge had cursed you and in the process he fucked it all up by making you forget about him. Good thing Maki and Yuta were there, because the moment Toge realised what he had done he looked worse than death itself and Yuta stayed with him to talk him out of any possible scenario that could put all of you in danger. Ieiri decided to put him on a isolated wing for the time being, so that Maki could bring you back for a check up.
"Ugh... my head feels crazy." you said laying down on one of the beds.
"¿How so?" asked Ieiri with no expression on her face.
"Well, I came here because I had a headache ¿Right? ¿But why was I running down the hall? What happened before that is what I can't seem to remember." you asked.
"Hm. Well, it was just you and me in here. I gave you some medicine to ease the pain and then you left." Ieiri replied in a nonchalant manner.
Behind you, Maki and Yuta were discussing amongst each other.
"This is a nightmare. I know Toge didn't mean what he said, but what he said..." he said.
"I know. What's said is done when it comes to him. There's no turning back from something like that. I wonder what the hell happened. ¿Toge hurting Y/n? ¿Or anyone for that? This isn't like him."
"For now we just need to check on her and make sure she can go out there. We need her. I made Gojo a promise that I would take care of you guys, but this is..." Yuta looked troubled for you. After all, you were his friends and you guys were like family to him. He didn't understand, but all of you were on a race against time because of a sacrificial game that you'd have to be a part of and Megumi thinks that you could have a chance in releasing Gojo from the prison realm if you play your cards right.
"Don't worry, I'll be with her. ¿Why don't you go first and once we are all done here we'll join you and the others?"
Yuta nodded and told you he'd see you guys in a bit.
"¿What were you talking about?" you asked Maki with curious eyes.
"¿Maki can I talk to you for a sec? You can go now Y/n it's fine. We just need to catch up on a few things."
"Oh, okay. You said, getting up from the bed and waved to the both of them, leaving the office to go find Yuta and the rest.
"¿So?" Maki asked Ieiri the second you closed the door and disappeared from view.
"She is feeling a little fatigued, nauseous. As long as she doesn't feel like something's missing she'll be fine. She'll be plenty busy out there with everything that's going on. Toge is no longer in her memories, but their bond was very strong, so it's like there could be a "Toge The Not So Friendly Ghost" living in her head. The thought of him has been replaced with lots of question marks so the brain is making up for it by making Y/n question other things that in reality they don't make any sense. You have to help her and we'll take care of this later, you know, as it develops. I'm glad he didn't hurt her for real, it was so unlike that kid to do that." Ieiri said shaking her head in disbelief.
"That's what I told Yuta. ¿What even happened?"
"I think it has to do with having lost his arm. She was talking to him, saying it was okay and that he shouldn't be ashamed, but he gave her the shoulder and wouldn't look at her in the eye. The energy that emanated from him was close to deadly, so as the amount of blood he spit after that. I don't understand how you can only get a headache from that. You'll have to keep an eye on her just in case."
"Maybe he half-assed it." said Maki shrugging her shoulders.
"Maybe." Ieiri replied thoughtfully. "But this only means one thing for Inumaki."
"¿What's that?"
"His losses have doubled. Losing a limb is one thing, and then, on top of that, pushing away the person he really loves... He is in a dark, desperate place right now. He's going to have to work really hard on himself to overcome this."
Meanwhile Toge was secluded in a room, punishing himself mentally for his mistake. Replaying the look of horror in your face, over and over again before he opened his mouth to put an end to any history between the two of you. He didn't mean to hurt you, he didn't want you to go, he didn't want to lose you and now he couldn't tell you any of those things 'cause he was dead to you.
You'd come for him worried sick, practically holding your heart in your hand, but he just wasn't in his right mind. He could've killed you.
"Let me help you now that I'm here..."
He was so reckless with you, so thoughtless... ¿How could he?
'Please, don't hide from me. As long as you are still breathing...' you had said to him just a few hours ago.
Your voice resonated in his mind and he couldn't pull it out of himself, just as the love he felt for you.
'¡Look at me Inumaki Toge! ¡Please!'
He was going to get you back, no matter what.
You loved him, just as he was.

Part two of the only fanfic that I have here that still doesn't have a name cause I can't settle for one yet
Outside of a building:
Miry and Gideon are in a car,Hotch and Jj in another and Spencer and Morgan in another one a little further waiting for the unsub to get out of the building
Miry:How long do we have to wait?
Gideon:Until we catch our bad guy
Miry:Can I sleep?
Gideon:You can't sleep on a stakeout,Miry.
You can eat,you can chew gum.
But you can't drink because if you drink, you're gonna have to pee.And the target always comes out right when you got to pee.
Miry:Now I think I gotta pee.
Gideon:Well,then,Miry,your bladder is going to get some training tonight,too.
(They laugh)
Gideon:We've got action. Now, I want you to stay down,a d don't get out of the car.
Miry:I know,I know.
(Shushing) Go! Go! Gideon says to the team
Gideon:Come on.Gideon grabs the unsub
Gideon:I got you. I got you red-handed, you lying son of a bitch.Turns out you were right again Miry,good work
Miry:Thank you Gideon,(she smiles)it's nice to get some appreciation at least from someone(she kinda shouts the last part hoping Hotch would hear it)
He heard it and rolled his eyes

Spencer:Wow that was great it's like you don't even need us anymore

Miry:Oh no,of course I need you;you guys took me to the crime scene,profiled the unsub.I couldn't have done it without you guys
Spencer:You know Miry I own you an apology,I didn't think you could actually do it and that you were really a psychic but guess I was wrong sorry I doubted you
Miry:No Spencie no apologies needed it's fine if you didn't believe me at first nobody does
Morgan:Well we all believe you now and we're happy to have you with us(he smiles)
Miry:Not everybody believes me (points at Hotch)
Penelope:Don't worry he's always like that

What changed from the previous books:
The first thing I can think of to mention is the main plot. I am a sucker for nature-based quests, so as soon as it was clear that Keera was going to have to travel around Elverath to unlock the seals, and that they would unlock possible nature-based powers, I was hooked. I even made a list of locations where I thought the seals would be, based on the map and the hints provided (my theory was that the seals were connected to the different woods, so I looked for water bodies near them. I only got one location right tho).
Despite this, there were some plot parts that I disliked or that confused me. One of them being Killian's presence in Myrelinth because I was 90% sure Damien had ordered him to be locked his in room in Koratha, and even more because no one (particularly Keera) seemed to ask any questions about this. Of course this would be answered toward the end of the book, but I'd still have preferred if there had been some sort of explanation or mention.
Another part I didn't like (as I mentioned in the review of A Shadow Crown) was the possibility of a love triangle with Killian, Keera and Riven (if only I knew...), so when Keera kissed Killian (and he kissed her back) because she was hellbent on pushing Riven away, I was so angry I almost stopped reading the book. Props to the author for writing the chemistry between them so well (again, if only I knew) that it made me question if Keera and Riven were endgame or if Riven was going to die and she would end with Killian.
However I wasn't just upset with the relationship side of this scene, but also with Keera's dumb behavior, which brings us to...
Even though there is a content warning list at the beginning of the book and I clearly read 'relapse', I was not emotionally ready to read about Keera's relapse. The first few chapters were hard to read, but I'm glad Gerarda was there to get Keera's head out of her ass (I cannot believe I'm saying this!).
That was another pleasant twist I wasn't expecting. Gerarda turned out to be a character that I grew to love and admire, and I was especially happy to see her as another symbol of representation.
Let's now address the elephant in the room, the plot twist to rule them all. I felt like I hit a brick wall headfirst. It was one of those plot twists where I had to close the book and take a moment to gather my thoughts before I could proceed, because all I could think about was EVERYTHING that happened in the other two books, and how much foreshadowing I missed (I can't wait to reread the saga with a different set of eyes.
I always had a feeling of suspicion about Killian, but honestly, I thought it was because he was going to turn out being a spy to the crown or something. I am very pleased with the plot twist, although it was a bit hard to read the spicy scene the way it happened.
Two honorable mentions before I move on to the theories:
Keera's depression is so relatable. How many times did I have the same thoughts of "The time of easy days is gone, but perhaps they would be easier without me"? For the same reason, "Your mother felt everything as deeply as she could. it made her a fierce leader and a loyal friend, but it also made her lonely" is also something I relate to a lot.
Keera holding lightning was hot. When I read "You will be able to call storms and lightning at will" I almost died. Give me as strong, powerful woman who can wield lightning and I will fall at her feet.
Theories:
My theory of the lock of the power being connected to the King proved itself wrong, but I don't even care because I preferred the way it happened. I figured early on in the book that Riven's power was connected to the seals and he was going to die when the last seal broke, so I wasn't expecting him to actually survive, nor that he would become a Halfling, which I guess makes sense.
Because of this, I think that the reason why Riven was the way he was (Fae and Mortal) was because of his miskwithir connection to Keera. Like he was born with this power because Keera would need it in the future, and once she "siphoned it" (which is not confirmed but it's my theory), Riven no longer needed to be Fae.
Based off on that, I think Keera's blood is no longer Amber, because she went through a reverse transformation. Which means she's no longer Halfling but full Fae.
Let's talk about Collin (again). I should really trust my instincts. I had a feeling from the first moment that he was the mole, and turns out I was right, just... not in the way I wanted to be. Damien is a psycho and the way he used Collin is disgusting. I love it.

Yes women have it way way worse, and this manga does a good job of showcasing that, but I also wish prostitution of young boys wasn't played up, if not for jokes, at least not lightly and as something that does no harm.
(worick to worick: no, don't contemplate on how hypersexualization by predatory adults has molded you for decades to come, you so sexy haha)
13? That's a freaking child. It's easy for us to forget that, bc escort Worick is this big strong guy, but he was 13 then, and those women definitely took advantage of his situation and hypersexualized him. (if they truly took pity on a little child, they could have paid him without asking for sexual acts in return. Yes they were kinder than men are to women or little girls; they didn't beat him up or violently rape, but a child that needs to eat can't truly consent: so it was rape nonetheless--you can't draw the line at "it could have been worse".)
I don't think this is Kohske's fault by itself, but rather the permeation of this trope that a desirable man should have fucked many women, and while you have the right to fuck whom you want and have casual sex, fucking people who see you as an object will fuck you up, if not physically, emotionally for sure.
Worick has no love interest, and it's not a romance kind of manga where romantic intimacy and love are the driving plot for him, but we do see issues with intimacy in general on how being objectified and molded sexually by predatory adults affects him, now age 35. He's desirable, but he can't form true connections with people, and never bares his true intentions to others, not even those close to him. He thinks it's bc of his photographic memory, that he thinks people are afraid he will never forget dirt on them, but that is not true, bc Worick presumes people won't want to be attached to him, and draws conclusions, yet we see people do want to be with him and want to help. He's just fucked up somewhere deep emotionally bc sex is related to emotion, and now he can't form any kind of intimacy for shit, but copes with turning everything into flirting so anyone who tries to get close (as family, friend, what have you...) will eventually get tired of him not taking this seriously and walk away. Because Worick doesn't know how to act when they choose to stay.
I really like Alex and Worick scenes in general, because it always tricks you into the expectation that physical attraction is the main goal, and it is always flipped on you as something deeper. (I like that Alex ends up with none of the two main guys, but I also hate that that expectation did pop in my head bc cliche, only to be happy that Kohske avoided that pitfall.) In the same scene, which is right after Worick (and Nic) saved Alex from her pimp, she extends genuine empathy to Worick: she inquires about his sex work, bc she too was a prostitute, and she knows how horrible it must be. She asks if he ever asked "why?"--how did I get here, where did I go wrong, what wrong turns did I take in life.
And interestingly, Worick's reply proves his coping:
"When did you start working as a gigolo?"
"Oh, I was 13. (Anime version extended to: You should have seen me at my peak, I was hot back then. I still got it tho.) I'm so popular!"
While Alex is a woman, she is nothing like his clients: she is not sexualizing him, she's not inquiring if Worick is hot or was hot; she genuinely wants to relate because of their shared work or extend worry/concern, and yet to Worick is as though, to any woman, he must prove how desirable he is, in a way self-objectifying before they do it for him.
And of course, if she asks "why" it must be because Granny has brainwashed her, because why would anyone ask that question. He doesn't ask himself that question, does he?
(good for you, worick. You're hot shit; you've got muscles big enough to hold your trauma, or so you say.)

I love how the characters of Nana are so complex. That being said, I have complex feelings about dark haired Nana. I adore her friendship with Hachi. I think they are happiest together and I think Hachi brought out the best in Nana.
However, Nana as a character isn’t in my top faves. Sure, when you meet her you are enamored with her just like how Hachi is. But when you get the full story, you can’t help but see her in a less romantic way (or at least for me) Besides being a cool tough girl I don’t think she has much depth especially considering she is supposed to be the other protagonist. She loves Hachi dearly but even then she wasn’t capable of supporting her in the way a good friend should when Hachi needed her the most. At least she’s aware of it tho. Yes, I get her trauma made her emotionally stunted but still, it made her unable to support Hachi in the way she needed and deserved from a friend.
She has shown to be egotistical and overly prideful and toxic shown in her most important relationships with: Hachi, Ren and even Yasu. With Hachi, she used Nobu so she could have her within reach and even told Nobu she was happy for them being a couple because now “Hachi is in her garden”. She uses Nobu to try to get responsibility of the baby doing the very same thing she accused Takumi of doing. Using that baby to keep Hachi by her side. She blew up on Nobu when he was incapable of taking action yet refused to do anything herself which he calls her out on “you wouldn’t want to be the father cuz you would never love that child knowing it was Takumi’s” Which I don’t blame her for but this showcases her manipulative and hypocritical nature.
Next, her relationship with Ren. What a hot mess. I am probably in the minority but I don’t really ship them. It’s not cuz I hate the ship, I just don’t see the hype. Despite the story claiming they have this great connection, I don’t see it. I think here lust is often confused with love. I’m sure they loved each other at one point and maybe they still do but it’s not in a way that really helped them develop as people or characters. She is way too prideful and selfish in her relationship with Ren and that never changed. He’s really almost a background character who I had no interest in until the end of the manga where it’s at right now. He used to be almost like this entity I saw as having no purpose than to make nana a heterosexual woman and I thought she deserved better. And maybe give her a reason to move to Tokyo. I only started warming up to him when it was near his death 😂He is never really emotionally or physically there for her when she needs it which is why I often doubted why she was still with him. Who is doing all the work and was capable of being there for her? Yasu. I am not saying she should be with Yasu cuz frankly I think he deserves better than her which is why I’m glad he finally “moved on” from her in the end. But anyway, she too was incapable of supporting and even loving Ren the way he needed. How could you never be aware your bf has a drug problem? How could you let pride get in the way of supporting him when he’s so depressed he turned to drug addiction to cope? She’s so self absorbed it’s crazy. How could she let one little argument where he blew her pride get in the way of contacting him. Many characters told her he needed her and she’d lose him but again, her being too prideful or egotistical to care just did not listen. And so look where all of that led to. I just don’t really think she has the capability to be a gf and that’s fine, but she really needs to do self reflection in her relationships in general before the same thing happens. Unless she finds someone okay with her style of loving
I made this post too long but obviously she always takes from Yasu and doesn’t really think about his feelings. I’m glad he cut off her dependency because she was just using him for the things her boyfriend was incapable of doing for her. She never considers if it’s hard on Yasu always being her emotional crutch, how draining it must be for the man. At least she tried to do a little something for him later which shows she’s somewhat aware of how she leeches off him. I don’t know how she’s coping now that Ren is dead and Yasu has a gf he loves. I hope she learned to be more emotionally independent and stable. I hope she learned to be less prideful and learned that a relationship is equal give and take. I don’t think she’s a bad person, she just needs some development and I hope she gets that if the author continues.

It’s the way some ppl will still hold Jonathan to that one s1 creep thing and ignoring that everyone treated it as wrong and he didn’t do it again, while excusing/downplaying B*lly’s behavior and downplaying the way Steve was supposed to be written as an asshole in s1
No cuz let’s talk about it! Now I understand not liking Jonathan on principle for taking pictures of Nancy in her underwear without her consent and intending to keep the pictures, because I too do not like this writing choice. HOWEVER, if you ignore the fact 1.) Nancy forgave and forgot 2.) the narrative framed it as bad and he was punished (should’ve been more but whatever) 3.) there are no repeat offenses… it’s giving “I only watch for eleven.” And if you like Billy on top of that??? That’s genuinely disgusting and hypocritical.
Billy 1.) mentally and emotionally abused his step sister 2.) is racist 3.) physically attacked Lucas (and Steve) with the intent to seriously hurt him ALL for no supernatural reason, that’s just who he is as a person. He is never shown to try and change or be better. In s3 he’s just a desperate kid reaching out to El for someone to understand him, there’s no actual redeeming qualities. Don’t hit me with the “he’s hot tho” as a joke because it’s not funny at this point because people are bending over backwards to say he wasn’t racist. How come when he actively tries to hurt people and enjoys it (he loved going after Steve), and never tries to change he gets the “but his dad is abusive 🥺” while Jonathan, who had an abusive father as well and does his best to be a better person, gets hate??? Make it make sense! And usually there’s a “well the same people who hate Jonathan, hate billy” UNFORTUNATELY UNTRUE

wow...wow this chapter...
can we talk about the paintings? i wanna talk about the paintings. i love the exchange of emotional intimacy, with yunho sharing this part of himself, and mc letting herself open up to him in turn just ugh we love to see it. the art room itself just seems like such a magical place from the way you described it, and i’m weak af for artistic imagery so this was a joy to read. the moment with the radiant painting tho with the portrait of mc, where everything clicked and she was like “this is how you see me?” was just so beautiful. i love how it wasn’t just this one moment and then suddenly all the mc’s insecurities are fixed. no here was buildup to this, and the payoff was immaculate. it’s really nice bc i can picture this like romanticized image he painted, but it’s still true to the mc’s visage like it’s clearly her, just with the elevated romanticism of someone who’s in love with her and things she’s just that beautiful all the time. made me all warm and fuzzy inside.
i really love how in the smut chapters, you have moments of emotional intimacy as a prelude to them being physically intimate. always love to see that. the pure comfort and trust that’s exchanged whenever the characters are intimate with each other is just delightful. also how did you manage to make bloodplay so romantic? like how did you do that? “paint me in you” AHH THAT LINE MADE MY HEART SOAR OMG. the whole scene was just so immaculately described like not only could i see what was happening, i could feel it, both physically and emotionally. and i say this all the time but the pacing was just perfect! it has the same immersive properties as your dream and fantasy sequences and is just such a joy to read and re-read to catch all the little intricacies. it took everything in me not to squeal at the sweet words they exchange like omg this is incredible.
and of course the reciprocity. i already knew you would emphasize the mutual feelings but wow this was great to see. seeing the mc take just much time and care for him as he did for her is always the best fucking thing to see. seeing her use the same soft touches and gentle words of praise just ugh yes douse him in affection he deserves it! the intimacy of having hem both intwined like this, painting each other with each other, is such a creative way to display their mutual love.
i cannot lie tho i did scream out loud when he drew her blood and it didn’t hurt her, and he reminded her that he’d never hurt her even in this the SCREAM I SCROME. i just know my dog can’t stand me 😅 also the part that had me wanting to munch bricks, where he’s emphatically expressing his desire to please her, now that i have the full context i wanna munch cinderblocks
and the face sitting...oh wow the face sitting. had to read that in stages it was so fucking hot. first of all the fact that he’s so giving is already making me swoon, but then being so adamant on hearing the moans and reactions i live for shit like that. and then the feralness that seeps through the sweetness made things so intense and so fucking hot. i love he way you merge the two too, the carnal and the caring, and it manifests itself in these poetic professions of love and lust. wanting to get drunk on the sweet nectar of arousal, wanting to take in the whole experience, like yes! that’s the best kind of lover right there! and the fact that all that was done through their mind link, and with their minds caressing as well as their bodies? that was a super unique angle and made my heart fucking flutter. the bloom for me line had me down for the fucking count i had to pause right there like...wow just fucking wow! the ebbs and flows of eroticism in this were great to read to. you can really see the way the erotic energy peaks and valleys over time as they just enjoy each other which was excellent. you can see that same flow of energy through the riding part too which just made it so engaging to read.

First of all, yes!!!! Thank you so much!! I really tried to emphasize the intimacy and importance of Yunho sharing his art with the OC, so I'm glad it came across well! It’s a big step for him and for the emotional vulnerability because as we all know, the last time he shared his art, it didn’t bode too well for him. I really wanted to capture that importance, and I'm so glad it came across! And yes!!! build up is so important, especially with the portrait of the OC, I really wanted to slowly lean into it, especially since it would reflect his nerves and the meaning of showing the art to the OC, so I’m so glad it was paced well!!
I’m also so glad the emotions came across well!! I always try to make sex a little more than just two people fucking each other in my stories, because to me, the deeper connections between them makes it all the more hotter. There’s so much more to emphasize I think when you have those emotional connections to play around with, because then everything just becomes that much more between two people. Perhaps that’s just me romanticizing love making, but I enjoy it, so I’m so happy others do as well! Don’t even get me started on the lines I had them reciting to each other omg, they were definitely some of my favourite, and long since overdue. I mentioned before how I've had this scene planned since the very beginning, and that also includes the lines they say to each other! I’m so happy you enjoyed the build up and the aspect of the blood play in the scene. I know I enjoyed writing it!

Oh yeah, I wrote that one line after he pulls the OC’s hand away and I had to cool off for a few minutes cause WOW, boy is feral in the best ways (at least, in my opinion lol), I enjoyed writing that scene wayyyy too much if you couldn’t tell, and I always wanted to incorporate his mental powers into his smut, and I'm so happy with how it turned out. Originally, I was going to have him project his vision - what he saw when looking up at her - into the OC’s mind while eating her out right before she came, and that would be the final push to send her over the edge, but I thought I'd save that for a later part. I’m really happy with how everything turned out, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it, too!!
And ehehehe I was wondering if you would comment on the ‘bloom for me’ line and I'm so glad you did!!! I contemplated not putting it in, honestly, but I had always thought about it since, you know, he calls the OC petal and everything. I’m so glad I did because it really pays off, imo!

Kumiho- These Cookies are one of the best for those that are clingy, because she is too! Kumiho cares a lot for their adopters and are easy to bond with, She'll cuddle and gladly give you attention, She will also try to take care of you by reminding you to eat and be by your side when you are having one of your outburst, now Kumihos can be a littly flirty especially to adult adopters and can be a bit scary, especially if a cookies ever tries to harm you but she means well, overall great buddy if you wish to have one.
