he wanted to go home. He not only wanted to go home, he almost did. That wasnt a “oh, my kids are back there, of course i have to go back!” it was “i want to go home.” One choice, with his happiness “split in two.” Going home and going to his children were weighed equally. he wanted to leave them just as badly as he wanted to stay with them, but he still chose to go back to them. Like holy fucking shit. he took the riskiest choice for them. heaven is heaven. once youre in, it’s good. the door was unlocked and he could GO. but the eggs might die and the door might lock again. going back to them doesn’t guarantee he gets to be their dad “forever and ever” like he was saying. Theyre mortal and he’s not and his loved ones die but he doesnt and they will, too, one day. and maybe that door wont every be unlocked again. but getting the chance to see them again and love them for a little while longer was on equal standing with finally, finally going home.

once cass says he loves sam and dean, (mary, jack, all of them too) in season 12/13, he says it so much. sam and dean don’t often or really ever say ‘i love you,’ but cass does. he constantly pledges his loyalty to the winchesters and professes his love for them. it always gets me when he referee to them as “the people i love,” because he’s so blatant. he doesn’t hesitate to say it. ever.

I know the reason Andrew turned down the Ravens (and Perfect Court) was because Riko would not take Aaron and Nicky too because they were not perfect players/people who he can control with exy.

I head canon that anytime Elliott wakes up early to feed the animals for the farmer, everytime he sees a duck feather laying around, he has to resist the urge to take it. I mean sure, you BOTH technically own the farm now, but it still feels like only you do, especially since you're the one putting in 99.99% of the work.

He does become overjoyed though when you end up giving it to him, anyway. It's just so pretty, and you know he can't resist that 1700's ink&quill thing. He probably has an entire drawer or something filled with duck feathers he could use if he loses his current quill. He's also definitely put one in his hair without thinking.
