the thought of henry winter driving has occupied my mind today — persistently and, most of all, enthrallingly. i don't know what it is about picturing him accomplishing mundane tasks that makes me want to hurl myself at a wall at high speed and splat against it like a ball of paint. i need you to bear with me.

simply: him turning the steering wheel, his large, veined hands operating the gear stick. he would obviously drive a manual, too. him absent-mindedly flickering gazes in the side mirrors, twisting his body backward in order to look when putting the car in reverse. i don't think he would do the grabbing-the-passenger-side-headrest thing — too inconvenient and obnoxious for him. but, yes, simply — his largeee frame in a car seat, driving; attentive and preoccupied as all hell... i wouldn't be able to help it, i'd stare at him throughout the whole trip. his hands, his side profile, his neutral, slightly concentrated expression... i could melt on the spot. do not even get me started on him getting gas. i've already gone into detail about how much the smell of gasoline lingering on him would send me down a frenetic spiral. i could not deal.
