♡ Vora as a Partner ♡
Tumblr media
○ She isn't big on physical touch. She will hate when you initiate it first, and will push your hand away from her and get irritated.
○ But as she warms up to you (which can certainly take a while), she will give you very subtle touches. Her fingertips will brush against yours when you stand next to each other, she will allow herself to be closer to you.
○ She may doze off and subconsciously scoot close to you and lay her head on your shoulder.
○ If you try to push her into more physical touch before she's ready, she'll go right back to square one of not wanting any touch. You have to be patient for her to open up.
○ She may call you little insults here and there, but it's all out of love.
○ She has a bit of a jealous streak, and she has a bit of trust issues. She won't like you being away from her for long periods of time, and she may ask occasionally why you still hang around her. It may seem a bit cold of her to ask, but it's her way of asking if you still care about her.
○ If anyone dares to threaten you, though, she will quickly resort to murder. She is very protective of you, which shows that, even though she can be very cold and distant with you, she does truly care.
○ It is rare for her to genuinely laugh, so the first time you can make her laugh and smile, she'll quickly catch herself and try to brush it off and act like it didn't happen.
○ She doesn't say "I love you". Her confession of love would be more like "I would die for you."
○ She would protect you from the other creatures of the Abyss.
○ When she finally kisses you, it is slow and lingering, but shows how much love she truly has for you.
○ She would love to dance with you as she hums a random, soft tune. She would lead, of course.

obligatory childe post ft 4.2 archon quest spoilers and also my incomprehensible ramblings (read at your own discretion)
fontaine left me with a Lot of thoughts about childe even if his screen time was kinda pitiful
it's been opening up a lot of implications for childe's potentional importance to the greater, overall plot of the story though and its driving me up a WALL but more importantly it's made me pick apart his character
which brings me to Fontaine actually being PERFECT for him to have featured in, actually. because the whole damn nation is a theater, a stage for its archon. Hydro has never fit him better because the parallels of focalors/furina to ajax/tartaglia aren't exact but it's pretty damn close. a separation of the "other" (divine in case of focalors, whatever is wrong w childe in his case) and human.
I just think a lot about how Tartaglia is only ever Ajax with family. you really don't see his old name anywhere, he's pretty openly adopted Tartaglia (kinda childe too) as his name literally in every other circumstance. which you can chalk up to just like. well, he's usually on fatui business, of course he'd use his fatui name, but. even with traveler, it's childe.
so. you know. makes me wonder if as far as he's concerned, Ajax is dead. "Ajax" died when he fell down that crack in the ground and something else crawled back out.
which makes me wonder how he'd feel about the Creator calling him Ajax.
conflicted, probably. because you know him well enough to know his old name..but he's not Ajax anymore, is he? he's not the child with a sword in hand trying to play adventurer, he's a Harbinger. he's Childe, he's Tartaglia.
conflicted because he has doubts, even if he'd never voice them, that maybe you like "Ajax" more then Childe.
#sagau#genshin sagau#self aware genshin#genshin impact sagau#self aware genshin impact#genshin cult au#genshin impact cult au#my thoughts on childe are jumbled but I think he is similar to furina/focalors in that he has many faces#he is ajax with his family– the confident sweet older brother who gets them nice gifts and doesnt visit often#but when he does he tries his best to be the older brother they need. ajax is dead and buried in the abyss and he crawled back out#but he tries.#he is also childe. tartaglia. a weapon finely honed by the Tsaritsa that goes where she leads him.#he is a murderer. plain and simple. he is no saint but a sinner just like the rest of the harbingers.#because that is simply who he has become. “Ajax” entered the abyss and Tartaglia came back out. even if it wasnt his name yet#squeezing him i wanna know what Happened Down There#they describe him as hesitant and frightened in one of his stories yet he returns and suddenly hes completely different#3 months in the abyss will do that i suppose#but im just obsessed w his themes of lsot identity (even if its just in my head) and a man being turned into a weapob#WEAPOn#also perfect opportunity for angst and conflict!!#being torn between his loyalty to the Tsaritsa vs reader would be soooo chef's kiss#honestly i think sagau/cult au with characters who arent 100% on board w the creator r so good i eat that shit up#esp if creator is tied to celestia....like ough the angst potential w so many characters like NEUVI UGH#this is getting off track but conflict also w the ajax vs childe situation..#i dont havr the words to sufficiently describe it but ough.............#just thinking abt childe being called ajax by the creator..a name hes mostly abandoned......#like if we go w my crackhead idea of him considering “ajax” dead i know he'd be so distraught but just bottle that shit up and smile#because if you wsnt ajax then he can be ajax!!!!! (please dont leave him hes senstive and has abandonment issues and separation anxiety)#desperate little puppy man (he is covered in blood and viscera bc he just killed a man and brought him to you expecting praise)#like a cat bringing you dead birds and mice.

I’m trying to strengthen an argument about how Childe’s demo theme (Letter From Ajax) maps out his character story and THE PIANO MOTIF IS STILL THERE EVEN BENEATH ALL THAT GUITAR+CRASH CYMBALS+DRUMS
I don’t know which part of him it symbolizes but the fact that it’s consistent is surprising considering all the mess on top

IMO the Abyss Order are cooler, more justified, and sympathetic than the Fatui.

no but if childe kept that abyssal beast busy for more than 45 days, what the fuck kind of power are we getting from the top 3 harbingers???
but in general theres actually no way childe is the weakest at this point, hes got to be top 5 at least, like yes, of course neuvi soloed him, hes a sovereign, canonically stronger than the archons! (even not at full strength) but theres no way childe is weak, that man couldve beat signora in his current capabilities i fully believe, especially when you consider that in liyue childe could barely keep foul legacy active for 20 minutes let alone 45 DAYS, bro has been grinding djfisdskfks
(that or his abilities are far stronger in the abyss idfk)

The Archons
A high-society social club filled with powered people. There are artists, governors, and even academicians. Aether was a member of The Archons before he missed.

I am making this post because Fontaine Archon Quest made me go down the theory rabbit hole and I need other people to agree with me that I'm not crazy.
Of course this post will have SPOLERS about the Archon Quest and some minor one about world quests, but I'll try to stay vague about them so everyone can still read this.
First thing off, fontaine is super related to Abyss stuff:
So far we have:
Childe actually finally dropping the things from his character story, giving us some weird Abyss fact that doesn't seem to be important yet (but i bet will become later on);
the whole Primordial Sea thing. I don't know if you saw that, but during the Archon Quest (in Marcel's underwater hideout) if you use elemental sight on the water it's black, just straight up black.
Tumblr media
NOTHING has ever been black before, so that to me just screams ABYSS.
Also, it was flowing upwards, as in, in reverse, which reminds me of the reverse statue, the reverse city in the chasm, and all of that stuff. Then it would also make sense for it to "reverse" the life it created, dissolving people.
the world quests in Fontaine being very Abyss related, as well as the constant mention all over fontaine of the name Jakob Ingold, the one who allegedly first discovered the effects the water from Primordial Sea had on people (this is said during the Archon Quest).
So far, in every Archon Quest we've had the Fatui as main villains (except in Mondstadt, but then Signora kinda stole the spotlight, so we all forgot about the Abyss Mages), and the Abyss Order stuff has progressed independently with Dain, but I think they're trying to reintroduce the topic in the main quest this time.
One of my main theories is that the Tsaritsa is at least somewhat right in whatever her objective is (even if her Harbingers are deranged psychopaths), so when we'll eventually get to Snezhnaya it's gonna be some huge mess, but we're gonna get the key to piece together some facts that they've throwing at us since the beginning with no context, and find some common ground (Are she or Pierro still gonna be bosses we'll have to fight? Maybe. Will the common ground be fighting Celestia or maybe saving it from the Abyss that is, maybe, taking over? Also Maybe. I have some speculations, but no proof whatsoever. Just vibes)
The reason I think that the Tsaritsa is not our enemy and doesn't want the Gnosis to, I don't know, take over the world or some shit, is because then why are all the Archons so chill about giving their Gnosis away?
Many say that, well, Signora attacked Venti in Mondstadt, that means Venti didn't want to give his Gnosis to the Fatui, otherwise why would she have done that?
And maybe that's even true, but
why isn't Venti more worried about it, then?
after knowing Signora's backstory, she probably did it because of a personal grudge, ngl
Also, with every other archon it went very peacefully, especially with Zhongli. Zhongli who literally gave it away like it was nothing: if he truly cared about it he would have found another way to get his retirement, the Fatui weren't the only ones he could ask for help, but since he was already giving it away he probably thought he should get something out of it.
Ei too (and while she isn't technically one of the original Seven she has always been there as Makoto's twin, so she's still old enough to remember the Archon War), she literally didn't even have it on her and wasn't worried at all when Miko just straight up gave it away.
Even Nahida gave two of them away, the only thing that was holding her back was not the fact that she needed them, or what the Tsaritsa wanted with them, just the fact that one had just been used by Dottore to create a god to replace her, so she didn't exactly want to give him two of them.
So far all the gods we've met are: either old enough to know some stuff or the literal god of wisdom, who still knows some stuff thanks to Irminsul.
None of them seem too worried about the Tsaritsa's plan. (even mf Zhongli that literally signed and NDA is just chilling) (like, i know you know what the Tsaritsa is doing, and you're a really good guy who literally wants nothing more than his people to be safe, so if you're not stopping her i can't really think of her as a bad guy)
I made this long ass premise to say that when Lyney says that Arlecchino yes, wants the Gnosis, but also wants to save Fontaine, I-
like-
I think that could actually be true.
Or at least I don't think they're the ones behind all of the stuff that is going in in there (realistically speaking, we don't know if Arlecchino actually cares about Fontaine. I don't think she has plans about its downfall, but maybe she just doesn't give a fuck, whether they all drown or not), I think it either directly the Abyss Order, or just a consequences of abyssal energy on the land and water.
(also there's like, three Fatui tents in the entire map and from where they're placed it could actually be them just investigating what the fuck it's going on with the Abyss. I have 100% exploration, so i know i haven't missed any,,)
(from the official Interactive Map)
Tumblr media
The Abyss being responsible might explain a bunch of stuff, like Childe being judged by the Oratrice guilty even when he's not.
Let's put some stuff together: Childe says that, while in the Abyss, he awakened "something", and that he still carries traces of that "something" inside of him.
The Oratrice is a divine mechanism, as such it is powered by divine energy.
In Fontaine we are introduced to Pneuma and Ousia.
Tumblr media
Each of them is what could be called and "Archè", which (if memories of greek philosophy in high school don't betray me) means something like "original substance", something from which everything else originates (like Heraclitus thought it was fire, Thales thought it was water. I should go back to read it, i might find something there huh).
For Pneuma (the light one) this is easy to understand: after all we know that combined, the seven elements make the Light element, but that is just because the seven elements are actually the spectrum of the Light element broken down, and it is said that the Dragons lived in a realm made of Light. So Pneuma (which means something about life and stuff) is Light, and it is the original substance from which the seven elements derive.
One thing we know about Pneuma and Ousia is that they are opposites, they are both energy sources, and when interacting they annihilate each other, but also become more stable than when on their own.
Allegedly, this is probably also what Khaenri'ahn machines were powered on (because when the Ruin Serpent charges up he does that AoE attack where he shoot these yellow and purple blocks, which reminds me of Pneuma and Ousia; added to the fact that we know the Research Institute of Fontaine has been studying Dhari machines, this is probably some kind of confirmation).
Tumblr media
Ousia literally means something about substance and matter (so on one hand you've got the "divine mind generating life" on the other you've got the matter, which remind me of the whole Descartes's res cogitans and res extensa, but whatever, another thing to look up again i guess).
If we're working on the whole "opposite to Pneuma" thing (so opposite to Light and elemental energy), then all that comes to mind is the Abyss (also referred to as the Void Realm).
This would tie back to Khaenri'ah and the fact that everything that everything that the Abyss touches gets the Mussolini treatment (this is a joke that literally only italians understand, sorry. Basically: it gets hanged upside down. down with the fascism boys)(i need to stop, sorry, i'm just in a silly goofy mood).
So divine things come from the Pneuma archè, that of Light: the Dragons, after them is the Primordial One, Celestia (Paimon??? The Travelers??? you know, the whole battle pass cutscene is hella sus).
The Abyss is a completely different archè: it exists outside of Teyvat and therefore has different laws (time is different there, we know from Childe's backstory), has taken on many different forms (oozing filth in the chasm, forbidden knowledge, etc) because its purest one is incompatible with the other realms.
(Do the Celestial Nails, placed in areas of high abyssal energy, contain enough divine power to generate an annihilation reaction, leading to funky but stable ley line disorders? Ice from Dragonspine doesn't melt, but doesn't spread either. Same for Tsurumi Island, the Eternal Oasis, and the Chasm)
Logically, there can only be one "original substance from which everything is generated", and the Abyss's presence on Teyvat is unnatural (the Abyss is, after all, a completely different world, it was Nibelung who sought out its power and opened the connection), so conflict is inevitable and again with the greek philosophy (still Heraclitus i believe, but i could be wrong): it is the conflict between opposites that generates things (such as energy).
(The first human civilization in Teyvat, the one that saw the conflict between the Primordial One and the Second Who Came, is based on ancient Greece. DO WE THINK IT'S A COINCIDENCE???)
Abyssal and elemental energy being opposites also explains why elemental creatures are so vulnerable against abyssal energy, why gods defeated in the Archon War escaped to die in the "dark sea" outside of Teyvat, and the annihilation that leads to stabilization probably explains why some abyssal creatures can wield elemental energy (Abyssal creatures that we know where humans at first).
If the waters in Fontaine got contaminated when the Cataclysm happened (and previous Hydro Archon died), then oceanids, elemental creatures, would suffer quite a lot and escape from Fontaine and MAYBE even get a little bit corrupted as well.
After all, the oceanid lady in the bottle event was extremely chill and lovely, while Rhodeia is as pleasant as hugging a cactus: is it just different personality or something similar to what happened with Apep (when she became a lot more angry after absorbing Forbidden Knowledge)? Doesn't Rhodeia also mention something about the waters in Qingce once being polluted as well (you know, right where the Chi was sealed? The Chi we know has something to do with abyssal energy from Baizhu's story quest)?
Just throwing these out there, it's very cool to realize how connected the Genshin world really is.
Going back to the Oratrice, a divine mechanism, who, maybe, sensed the Abyss in Childe and either
had a funky reaction
somehow knew the influence of the Abyss on Primordial Sea water (which after the world quests I can imagine how it could have happened), saw Childe's abyss-iness (abyssussy??? abussy??? amogus???) and went "Ah! Gotcha bitch"
the Jakob Ingold thing (because Childe is basically a herald at this point, mf can switch forms like my boy Enjou did back in Enkanomiya, god I miss him).
What would the abyss order have to gain by flooding Fontaine? Yeah, play the world quests. My boy Elynas is taking a nap bro (he chill tho so it's fine)
AND THAT'S MY PREDICTIONS. I guess. I might make more?? eventually??

About Seelies, their Palaces in the Dark Sea & how they're Probably Related to Andrius (TL;DR)
Their palaces are in the Dark Sea, where The Seven have no jurisdiction. They brought wisdom to mankind, & probably so to other entities like the Andrius, "the Wolf the North".
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their palaces are in the Dark Sea, & Enkanomiya is also exactly there, but there was no Seelie civilization there; there were just humans from the Unified Civilization as far as we know. It's quite interesting that the Seelie courts are eroded by the time all around Teyvat, but in Enkanomiya they aren't.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For a while, I used to think that the ruins that are around all Teyvat's surface, were the architecture of the Seelies, but this isn't the case at all bc according to the book "A Drunkard's Tale" the Seelie palaces are in the Dark Sea.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And now that we're talking about the Dark Sea and the "A Drunkard's Tale", there's smth pretty interesting I'd like to mention about...Columbina.
Tumblr media
In "A Drunkard's Tale" Vol. 3 we learn the tale about a lone wolf, that once wandered in the a "cruel" wasteland; a place that seems to be far beyond the dominion of Celestia, with the remains of fallen gods and others that escaped there after the archon war, (ex. Orobashi).
Tumblr media
According to the tale, once the lone wolf passed by a palace where he heard music. Within there, he found a "fair maiden" using an instrument, with a skin "ashen white" & playing a "long-forgotten and mournful melody".
"The chirping of insects on a long-gone autumn night is the chorus of exiles, singing mankind's most ancient song as they live out their plight..." she sang.
"Stripped of all that the body once held close and the soul once held dear, song and memories are all that now remain of yesteryear."
"The last singers, the first Seelie, they played their final tune in the halls of angels."
The Seelies in the area approached the pale white maiden to listen to her music. The wolf asked about the song to the maiden, and the maiden replied "A song of the Seelie".
"Long, long ago, we wrote this song for the human savages. Yet now, we sing it to mourn our own fate."
This maiden was clearly a Seelie who seems to still maintain her human form, & we're told that Andrius received his powers from an ancient god...could this god be the Seelie from the tale? he has a very icy windy ghostly anemo form, just like Seelies.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The twitter user named @nanbeidou7 also talked about this before me.
Here's a link to a thread she did about the topic.
Link:
Tumblr media
I'd like to also talk about a possible mention of a Seelie (maybe even Columbina, asuming that she's a Seelie), in the artifact set "Adventurer" in the "Plume of Death", there's a mention of an adventurer meeting a "girl so beautiful" that even her appearance felt surreal.
Tumblr media
And do you all know what else did the girl had? that's right! a cluster of feathers!! the similarities are too coincidental tbh...but who knows! anyone in Teyvat could be incredibly beautiful girl with a cluster of feathers, right?... right??

*crawls through window* imagine... the entire Liyue arc and Osial plot getting derailed because Foul Legacy refuses to fight. you're a friend of the Traveler, someone who offered to accompany them on their journey around Teyvat to have an adventure and meet new people- despite your lack of a Vision, you're determined and good with a weapon and like helping the Traveler fight, so they and Paimon allow you to come with. you also happen to be acquainted with some of their allies, like Zhongli and Baizhu and particularly Childe, who quietly confesses to the Traveler that he's been trying to win your heart for some time. unfortunately you're wary around the Fatui, like the rest of the Harbor, and try to keep the relationship more formal despite how much you secretly like his company. you take the reveal of his betrayal quite hard. from the outside you look angry and steeled for a fight, but internally your delicate heart is crushed, knowing you were just another pawn for him to play with. he looks almost sad when his gaze lands on you, eyes softening slightly and fingers twitching like he wants to reach out, but soon the battle commences and you're left with Paimon on the other side of the burning hot barrier. bitterly you scold yourself, muttering that you shouldn't have become involved with a Fatuus, much less a Harbinger, in the first place, but your stomach still twists into cold knots when you think about it. it's your fault for staying, for hoping you could actually befriend him, and you despise yourself for it. then the floor gives way and crumbles, leaving you to fall painfully into the belly of the Golden House, hurting you physically as much as you're hurting mentally. you groan in pain and pull yourself to your feet, head sparking with aches. there's no barrier anymore. nothing between you, the Traveler, and Childe, who has transformed into a wretchedly beautiful, otherwordly form, and you know you're probably going to die here- there's no way someone like you can survive lashing lightning and waves. at least you got to see something wonderful before you left. but the battle never starts. when you manage to look up, the Traveler's standing still as stone, watching Childe, unmoving, watching you. the creature he's turned into tilts his horned head, almost like he's curious, piercing you with an intense stare. it's cute, in a way, but you're also terrified to your bones and freeze in your tracks as Childe observes you with a crystalline blue eye until you muster up the courage to speak. "...Childe?" the lilac fur around his neck suddenly poofs, his azure eye lighting up, and Childe swiftly darts across the arena and scoops you into his much-larger arms, pressing you against his chest and making purr-like sounds. you yelp in surprise, hastily clinging to his cloud-soft fluff to keep from falling as Childe spins you around in midair, seemingly overcome with joy. your eyes screwed tightly shut, you only feel him lower and sit on the ground, then an odd sensation, like something pushing into your hands, and when you open your eyes you're greeted to the sight of Childe insistently nudging his head against your raised hands. hesitantly, you settle your palms on his plated cheeks and feel the purring noise rumble throughout his entire body as he melts into your touch, even emitting soft chirps and coos every now and then. this isn't happening- this can't be happening- is all you can think, but Childe confirms reality by leaning his head forward and plonking it on your shoulder, trilling blissfully when your hands start trailing up his horns and under his chin. some tiny, miniscule part of Childe is protesting, reminding him of the Fatui's plan and the false Sigils of Permission and the Overlord of the Vortex waiting, but he dismisses that thought with a hiss, because who cares about the Fatui and the gods and Liyue when he's with you, more precious than mora, battle, and even all of Teyvat?

*FONTAINE SPOILERS*
Y'all laugh at the fact that Tartaglia randomly falling into the Abyss one day as a kid ended up being the catalyst for Fontaine's eventual predicted destruction but all this means is that from the start Tartaglia was intended to fall into the Abyss and become a Harbinger and thus has always been doomed by the narrative

Some more Fell Star and Beyond the Spider Lilies art for @justpked . It's a picture of Asol and my Harbinger Thuban in her beast Abyssal form drawn in the style of mideval illustrations, next to some text from Beyond the Spider Lilies. The picture is based on imagery of St. George slaying the Dragon, which is why Asol is drawn, fighting the Harbinger on horseback despite the fact they fought each one on one. I figured over the centuries' accounts of what happened when Asol defeated Thuban would be exaggerated into Legend. And what's more heroic than an armored Templar on a white horse slaying the great beast?! Couldn't decide if I want Thuban to scar Asol or not, so I saved both versions.
I love how in the Spider Lilies demo, the Harbinger of Calamity from Fell Star can make a little cameo appearance if little MC does an optional extra reading assignment for their history lesson. Luckily, my MC Seleni is a very curious child who enjoys reading, so she gets a peak of my Harbinger in her history textbook.

I need to know the connection between the abyss sibling, dainsleif, pierro and kaeya please
Why are the abyss order and the fatui enemies if they have the same goal? Even if the abyss order is formed by Khaenri'ahns that turned into monsters and Pierro didn't (yet?), so he founded the fatui with the cryo archon, wouldn't it be easier to work together?
Why is the abyss sibling on Khaenri'ah's side if they don't have anything to do with it? When did Dainsleif change his mind and become their enemy?
How is Kaeya even alive???? Who are this boy's parents??? Who is Kaeya anyway??? I need to know.

I really hope Mihoyo doesn't do the Abyss Order Dirty.
I really dislike the Fatui, and love the Abyss Order.
But unfortunately, Mihoyo is probably going to reduce the Abyss Order into the "super-big-bad-evil" that we have to ally with the Fatui to fight.
Thereby giving the Fatui clowns "redemption" and escape consequence, by having someone eviler by comparison.
