"Why do you care so much about accidentally leaving people out?" Because I've had friend groups where they were the planets and I was their Pluto.

I've had friend groups where our dynamics revolved around a Sun, with everyone vying for their attention if only to bask in their light for a mere moment. Where our thinly strung bonds collapsed the second our Sun left.

I've had friend groups where they bonded as Saturn's rings, finding solace in their shared shortcomings while isolating those more talented than them.

But I've also had friend groups where we bond as Neptune and Uranus—so similar we could be known as twins. Friend groups like Venus and Earth: so awfully different, yet it was those differences that kept us together.

And I would rather create a social system like the latter than the former.

I know that the early, non-Diasomnia stories aren't really your thing, but are you reading the novels at all?

I have been following some of the fan translations and the second book seems intense! Would love to hear what you think about them.

thank you! 💚💚💚 I'm not really sure why you think I don't like the earlier arcs though, I love pretty much all the characters and their storis! (I think 5 and 1 are my favorite of the past episodes, though 6 infected me with the Shroud brainrot something fierce.) I just...ESPECIALLY love diasomnia. :') but there is room in my heart for all of these dweebs! like, who among us is not just as ride-or-die for Adeuce as they are for us.

that said, I don't really follow the other adaptations like the manga (aside from a dip-in just to see the new Yuus) or the novels, though I keep meaning to check them out! I do like seeing the differences between the different forms of media, and how certain things get adapted one way or another! but alas, time/a lack of accessibility stands in our way more often than not. :( someday...someday I will have time to consume all of the media...

#photopost #my stuff #guilty gear #sol badguy #order sol #finished stuff #If this looks familiar it's because I did the sketch digitally back in October for Soltober #I printed it out then lightboxed it onto a piece of bristol board where I inked it with dip pens #Then scanned it in and did the colors digitally #This has been sitting half-finished for months now. Made myself sit down and put a fork in it today #I like Jackson Crawford's translation of the Poetic Edda a bit more but Terry's is good #If you didn't know: Sigurd eats the heart of a dragon (Fafnir) and gets some cool powers from it #Sigurd is the same guy as Siegfried in the German stories (which don't seem to focus on the dragon stuff as much..?)#I haven't read as many of the German stories though. The Norse stuff's more my domain
