summary: you come home after a long day of being a superhero and kate helps clean you up :))))
warnings: swearing, blood, sorta nudity but not sexual at all (just for bandaging purposes), kate and reader are down bad
word count: 1496
notes: heyyyy guys i totally said i would post a wandanat fic but im literally never getting to that bc im a busy girl in a busy world so have this instead :)
You trudge your way down the hall of the apartment complex, rubbing your arms to keep the cold away. All you want is the warmth of your girlfriend after a long day of fighting crime. On a normal day, you would’ve called before showing up, or at least gone through the window instead of the front door. Today, though, you were too tired to care.
You knock tentatively on the door of Kate’s place; one knock, three knocks, two knocks to let her know it’s you. It takes about ten seconds for her to fling the door open and another three to get worried.
Studying your face, she says, “Oh, shit. Hard day?” She takes the mask in your hands and throws it somewhere on the couch as she guides you inside. All you can muster is a small nod, pure exhaustion taking over as you press your face into her shoulder. Her arms wrap around you and her hands gently play with your hair. That is, until she feels the blood seeping through your shirt.
She pulls away immediately to inspect the gash on your shoulder. “Holy fuck, babe. You have to stop getting hurt so badly.” She says it with some amusement, but the expression on her face reveals her fear.
You reach your hand up to rub at your eye. “‘It's fine,” you mumble. You figure the faster you can get her to stop worrying, the more hugs you can get, and the faster you can get the sleep you so desperately need. You put all your energy into smiling at her. She doesn’t buy it.
“Um, no. C’mon, we’ll go get you cleaned up,” she argues. You groan quietly, but she just tugs your hand towards the stairs. You quickly shuffle up to her and lean most of your body weight into her side, to which she happily wraps an arm around your waist and helps you up the stairs. You feel a little bad for making Kate practically carry you, but you’re too tired to walk on your own.
Kate places you gently on her bed and runs to grab some first aid supplies and a towel for your shoulder. You wait to lean back on her pillow until she comes back and places it under your wound so blood won’t get everywhere. Watching her sort through the bandages, you prop your head up on the headboard and smile to yourself; she looks pretty when she’s concentrating.
“Okay, here, let me do your face first,” she mutters, gently straddling your legs. You lean back to look up at her and feel your face get red at your proximity. This time, she grins at you. As gently as she can, Kate holds your cheek with one hand and begins to work the dirt and blood out of the small cuts littering your face, occasionally turning away to get a new band-aid or clean Q-tip. You stare into her watery blue eyes that scan you, her eyebrows that scrunch a little with focus, her cheeks that are painted a soft pink for the same reason as yours, her lips that are upturned in the smallest smile.
The way her fingers softly dance across your face makes you even sleepier than you were before, and your eyes start to fall closed every couple of seconds. The exhaustion hits you like a bus, worse than before and you can’t keep yourself awake despite how much you try.
Kate’s thumb brushes over your cheekbone. “You can sleep,” she murmurs, “I’m sort of almost done. Couple more minutes. I’ll try to be gentle so I don’t wake you up.” You don’t think she could be any more gentle than she already is, though. Your eyes drift fully shut as you feel her softly kiss your forehead, quickly falling asleep.
You wake up what can’t be more than thirty minutes later to Kate messing with your shirt sleeve. You lazily turn your head towards her hands, blinking confusedly. She quickly stops.
“Sorry, sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you up. I need to fix the cut on your arm, but I didn’t want to take your shirt off while you were asleep, so I thought maybe I could just move your sleeve up, but it wasn’t really working and I didn’t want to wake you up but I guess you’re already awake so I just… uh… yeah,” she spits out. You can’t help the massive smile that grows on your lips at her; her nervous rambling, how she didn’t want to disturb your sleep or take your shirt off, the way she’s still being so soft with you. It makes you fall just a little more in love with her.
Her nervous expression fades into small giggles. She looks at her hands in her lap, quietly twisting her fingers together. She asks, “Is it okay if I take your shirt off? Just to fix your shoulder. I won’t if you don’t want me to.”
You nod silently, continuing to smile softly at her. She moves her hands to the hem of your suit’s top, gently pulling tight fabric over your head and chucking it into the hamper on the other side of the room. She quickly gathers her materials and starts examining the cut.
“Stitches?” you whisper, fear lacing your small voice. You hate needles and especially didn’t want to get stitched up while you were so out of it. Fortunately, Kate shakes her head.
“No stitches, don’t worry,” she replies, beginning to clean and bandage the wound. You can’t help but admire everything about her for the 50th time tonight. You’re still sleepy, but your staring keeps you contentedly awake.
“All done,” Kate says, breaking you out of your trance. She moves her bandages and other tools to the side so she can take a good look at your arm, then your face. Her hand finds yours, thumb gently rubbing across your knuckles. You look up at her eyes to find her studying you, just as you had been studying her before. You can tell by the way her eyes flick downwards, only for a quick second, and the way they gaze back into yours when they return how desperate she is to kiss you. However eager she is, she knows just as much how exhausted you are and doesn’t want to push you. Regardless, your lips quirk upwards and you squeeze her hand softly to let her know it’s okay.
She leans forward, pressing her lips to yours as softly as she can. You press a little closer to her to deepen the kiss, just enough for both of you to feel satisfied and bask in the other’s love.
You pull away after a minute or an hour, head spinning and heart pounding. Your hands are still interlocked in your laps and Kate keeps rubbing her thumb over your palm; back and forth, then circles, then tracing your name into your skin. You can almost feel all of her love seeping into you from the small act. You lose track of time again, sitting together and just being.
A yawn from you interrupts the quiet of the moment. Kate giggles at you and reaches behind herself to grab your set of pajamas from the foot of the bed. They’re not technically yours, since the set entirely consists of clothes you stole from her, but she would never dare ask for them back. She likes how you look in her shirt, anyway.
“Here, arms up,” she says. You lazily follow her directions, and she slips the old t-shirt over your head. Then, you work together to take off the rest of your hero suit and exchange it for old flannel pants.
Once you’re dressed, Kate flops on the bed next to you and you curl into her side, happy to finally get to sleep. She starts rubbing your back with one hand, the other picking up your hand again. You bury your face into the crook of her neck, not caring for the small cuts you aggravate. You feel like you can’t get close enough to her. You settle, and it’s quiet for a moment.
“You smell good,” you whisper, breaking the silence. It’s the first thing you’ve said in a while, you realize, since you’ve been too tired to speak. You felt like she needed to know, though, that she smells like home. It should be an odd mix: coconut shampoo, Old Spice deodorant, honey from tea she must have had earlier, yet, it’s so comfortingly Kate.
Kate giggles again. “Thank you. You also smell good,” she murmurs into your hair, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. You know you don't; you smell like sweat and dirt. It’s nice that she’s nice, though.
Her touch makes you so sleepy and comfy that you fall asleep within seconds, your hands still intertwined. Neither of you let go for the whole night.

kate bishop x reader
Tumblr media
summary: kate shows you how much she enjoys the gift you got her for her birthday.
warnings: 18+ pls, smut, mirror sex, strap use, kate refers to her strap as her cock, tummy bulge, edging (maybe?), kate really wants you to watch.
a/n: guys idk whats wrong with me what happened to my long works?? did they get lost in my break? find out next time 👹 do not repost for any reason.
the room was dark, the only source of light coming from the tv playing a movie that had been long forgotten. hands held your hips in a tight grip, kate’s breath against your neck. “look, baby,” she whispers in your ear, tilting your head up to look at the mirror in front of you.
the sight elicits a quiet whine from you. your legs spread wide open, kate’s strap buried deep in your cunt, you’re almost certain you can see it cause a bulge in your belly. it’s purple, matching kate’s signature color perfectly. your eyes try to find kate’s, but they’re much too concentrated on where the two of you meet.
her hand moves down to your thigh, squeezing gently at the fat of it. “kate,” you whine, grinding against the strap. it nudges against your walls so perfectly, a moan falling from your lips. kate’s eyes meet yours, they’re dark, full of need.
“hmm?” she hums, pressing a kiss to skin below your ear. it sends a shiver down your spine.
“please, js’ fuck me. need it so bad,” you slur, grinding your hips against her strap. kate smiles against your skin before guiding your hips to bounce on the strap. kate’s hand previously holding your thigh moves to rub tight circles against your swollen clit. your eyes roll back, loud whines falling from your lips.
“so needy, baby. if you wanna cum, you’ll have to watch me fuck you,” she murmurs. your gaze snaps to your reflection, not wanting to have your orgasm ripped away from you. “good girl.”
“fuck, kate.” she picks up her pace, bucking her hips up to meet your sopping cunt. its all so good, the stretch of the strap, the way it presses against your sweet spots so perfectly, it’s all so good, so fucking good.
“look at you, takin’ my cock so well, hmm?” you nod, unable to form the words. “yeah,” she draws out, biting the skin of your neck gently. your walls squeeze around the plastic of kate’s strap and she cants seem to tear her gaze from the scene in front of her. her fingers graze your stomach before pushing down against the bulge her strap causes. “look baby,” she whispers. your eyes are already locked on her hands. “my cock’s fillin’ you up so good, so much, look at how good im fillin’ you up, baby.” her words are so nasty, your cheeks heat up.
“katee,” your head falls back against her shoulder and kate’s movements are quick to halt. “nonono, please katie, need to cum so bad,” you whine out, trying desperately to save your orgasm by grinding down against her strap. her hands grip your hips, stopping your movements.
“no, what did i tell you, baby? you gotta watch if you wanna cum. don’t be shy now, baby, won’t do you any good,” her words are firm and you try to lift your head up to watch. “good girl,” she murmurs as you lift your head.
her previous actions resume, her fingers teasing your clit, other hand holding your hip to help fuck up into you. you can feel your orgasm approaching, the coil in your stomach so close to snapping.
kate bites your shoulder gently before placing a kiss on it. “cum, baby, know you wanna,” she whispers. minutes pass before you’re coming undone on her strap.
“yeah, just like that, doin’ so good, baby,” she murmurs as you come down from your high. you’re breathless, the feeling of her strap still buried deep inside of you feeling so fucking good. “thanks for the birthday gift, baby,” she murmurs, pressing a kiss to the nape of your neck.
reblogs much appreciated :D

Sunrise in the East
Pairing: Florence Pugh x Fem!Reader ; Hailee Steinfeld x Fem!Reader very briefly at the start.
Summary: Reader is very happy having one-night stands or having friends with benefits, avoiding any serious relationship for a while now. However, things change and she suddenly starts to think that dating wouldn't be all that bad.
Disclaimer: English is not my first language, so be kind. This is not overly romantic but I do think it represents very well what happens in real life. Also there's some light smut and some very light bdsm (very light).

MASTERLIST
You were still slightly out of breath while you slipped your pants up your legs, the sweat attached to your skin making it a bit harder to do so. Maybe you shouldn’t have chosen such tight jeans to wear that night, but oh well. Leaving the button undone, you turned around to find where your shirt had landed during the haste to get into bed earlier. At least you knew it was inside the room because, more often than not, you would have to walk around the fancy penthouse naked to collect your clothes.
Neither of you was careful with the undressing part.
You found your shirt - the simple black shirt you had slipped on after leaving your house - hanging precariously on the back of the armchair, almost falling behind it, where you probably wouldn’t think about looking before giving up and asking to borrow a shirt from the girl still lying on the bed. You glanced at the naked body barely being covered by the blue sheet while pulling the shirt over your head and grinned a little when you noticed the still red skin where your hands held a hip before. You were undeniably proud of yourself. Shamelessly so too.
Hailee paid you no mind, used by now to have you get up and collect your clothes before either of you could get too comfortable on the large bed, as she propped herself up with one arm to reach out for her phone on the nightstand with the other. Before jumping on the bed with your lips attached to one of her lips, you had asked to use her charger so you wouldn’t have a dead phone while driving back home, so your cell phone was also on the nightstand beside hers.
With one last look at the woman - still feeling so goddamn proud of yourself - you went inside the bathroom to make yourself more presentable to walk out of her apartment. You would have to take the elevator down and walk to your car parked across the street. If anyone happened to stumble over you, the last thing you needed was to look freshly fucked. You were very open about your sexuality to the press but there was no need for anyone to find out about your little arrangement with Hailee.
You were just using her mouthwash to rinse your mouth - sadly losing the last traces of her taste on your tongue - when you planned your next steps. Go to the kitchen, drink some water, go back to the bedroom, grab your phone, put your belt back on - you would have to take that one from the headboard of Hailee’s bed - and leave. Maybe you would make a quick stop by the wine store on your way home since it was on your way.
Mouthwash back in place at the sink, you left the bathroom with a big intake of breath. “Do you want some water?” You asked her, leaning down to grab Hailee’s bra from the floor. She threw it on the armchair with a smirk.
Hailee nodded distractedly before she turned to grab the empty glass from her nightstand so you could fill it. That’s when your phone screen lighted up with a new text message and, even though you knew that wasn’t Hailee’s intention, she ended up reading what it said before the screen went black again. You weren’t worried about it, of course, but you quirked one eyebrow when Hailee grabbed your phone and threw you a glare that was obviously filled with anger.
“Did you just receive a text from someone else wanting to have sex with you while you’re still in my room?” She asked and, for a moment, you weren’t sure if she was actually mad or just playing with you.
The agreement between you two has been clear since the start. You were both single, you both needed to take some of the edge off sometimes, and you both enjoyed sex. It was a friends-with-benefits kind of situation, something that has been working for you two for about six months now. You were friends for longer, ever since you met her on the set of Hawkeye, but the sexual part of your friendship hadn’t started immediately.
And even now, six months later, nothing has changed between you two. You hung out with other people from the cast, you chatted and had a nice friendship that didn’t get complicated when one of you wanted to have sex.
The thing is Hailee wasn’t the only one you had that agreement with.
Your job didn’t allow you to be in the same city all the time and you, well, you enjoyed sex.
Having sex without any type of attachment was kind of your thing, actually, and Hailee was aware of that. You two spoke of going out and meeting other people all the time. There was no way you would’ve imagined she would be surprised, and apparently mad, to see you had some type of established friends-with-benefits thing with someone else.
When you didn’t say a thing, Hailee tapped on the screen of your phone to read the text out loud for you. “Are you free tonight? I’m in town and my hotel room has some good wine.” Hailee finished reading it and looked back at you. “With a wink face in the end.”
You were still standing in the middle of her room, not sure how to react to the drastic turn of events, but you just decided to go straight to the point. “We’re not dating,” you reminded her. “And you know I sleep with other people.”
Hailee kept looking at you for a while, probably trying to read what was going on inside your head, until she let out a breath and threw your phone on the mattress. “Don’t blame me for thinking this is a bit wicked.”
You couldn’t help but roll your eyes. You decided to do the button on your pants, suddenly not as comfortable anymore, before you stepped closer to the bed to grab your phone. You unlocked the screen to open the messages and, sure enough, there was the text that got Hailee so worked up. Florence’s name was flashing with the notification and you didn’t manage to hold back a little smile because you had no idea Florence would be in the US, let alone in the same town. You liked spending time with her way before you two started with the booty call thing.
“Are you going to see her tonight?” Hailee asked, trying to sound like she didn’t care, but you still saw how she kept throwing glances at you while looking through her phone again.
“Please, don’t tell me you caught some feelings for me,” you teased in order to try to avoid a fight. You didn’t want to fight tonight, especially about that. You liked being very clear with every girl you made an arrangement with. No attachments, no feelings, no wanting to boss you around. “That would be a terrible, terrible, destiny.” You walked to the side of the bed where she was and leaned in closer to her face.
Hailee locked eyes with you, almost challenging, but the girl broke eye contact first, as expected, glancing at your lips with a hungry look on her face. “No, I didn’t.”
“Really? So why are you so mad?”
Dark eyes snapped back to yours, now flaring with anger, and you chuckled happily before pulling away to add some space between you two. There was no way you were going to stay around now. “I’m not mad.” It only took one of your glares for Hailee to sigh and refute what she had just said. “I guess I just felt… disposable,” she admitted almost shyly, going back to being the girl who would give you doe eyes while you tied her wrists to the headboard with your belt.
“Well,” you raised your eyebrows, “we don’t have anything serious going on.”
“No, we don’t,” Hailee agreed with a sigh. “I’m sorry.”
“No need to apologize.” You offered her a smile, feeling a bit more relaxed now that the crisis has been averted. Considering that Hailee was very adamant about keeping her bisexuality hidden from the public eye and how eager she had talked about the date she had next week with someone else, you were pretty sure she hadn’t suddenly developed feelings for you, but you guess it would throw most people off to read a text like that. “But, to answer your question, I’m going home. I know it looks like I have infinite stamina but I can’t exactly go around having sex all night,” you joked.
Thankfully, Hailee laughed. “I didn’t know you and Florence have a thing. You never told me.”
“A girl don’t kiss and tell, Hailee,” you winked at her.
“You totally do!” She laughed again, even louder now, before throwing a pillow at you. “But fine, keep your secrets.”
“Hey, I’m just so damn lucky that Marvel gave me two jobs at the same time, and it just happened to be to share a screen with two hot women,” you teased her, addressing the fact that you had shot Hawkeye and the Black Widow movie at the same time a few months ago. Those had been crazy times because you had to be at both locations across the ocean from each other, remember your lines, shoot the scenes without screwing up too much, and find some time to sleep. “And I just spoke exactly like Hemsworth would,” you completed with a grimace.
“Who else you hooked up with?”
Laughing, you shook your head. “Good night, Hailee,” you said while leaning in to grab your belt before turning to leave her room.
[...]
You didn’t meet with Florence that night, though you two made plans to see each other the next day since the girl would be in town for another week. Just like it had happened with Hailee, you and Florence became friends with benefits over time. Things with Florence were very hassle-free. You went out as friends, hung out, grabbed drinks together, watched movies, went to new restaurants, talked about people you two went out with, and, sometimes, you had sex.
It was great and so simple that you could easily say that was probably the one thing in your life that wasn’t even a bit complicated. Which was something that only crossed your mind the night before while you were driving home with music blasting through the radio. Your little chat with Hailee had provoked your thoughts enough to have some of them jump on the back of your head and grab your attention.
You had said to Hailee that having feelings for you would’ve been stupid and you didn’t think you were lying about it but it also made you think about what you were doing with your life exactly. You never had a very serious relationship that lasted more than a few months and now, when most people your age were married with kids, you were still holding onto ‘friends with benefits’ things instead of building up the courage to actually try to build a life with someone. That wasn’t something you were ever worried about but your life crisis lasted the entire night and, by the time you managed to fall asleep, you were pretty sure you would end up being one of the people who died alone in a nursing home without having anyone else to talk with but the nurse who had to change your diaper because she was paid to do so.
A bit dramatic, sure, but your job was literally doing that in front of a screen.
So, by the time you met up with Florence that night, you had an entire day to mull over your life and had made up your mind about what you wanted for the future.
Of course that it was quite hard to remember what your decision had been when Florence had you pinned down on the bed, face pressed against the pillow and ass up, while she pounded behind you with a strap that you had no idea how she managed to travel with it inside her bag. Florence was one of the very few people you ever allowed to fuck you like that. Most of the time, you preferred to be on top, to be in charge, to see the person’s face while you two fucked each other's brain out, but Florence managed to get you so comfortable over time that you would allow her to do whatever she wanted with you.
You could still remember one of the first times you two had sex - a night when you had been a bit rougher than the times before that - and how Florence immediately demanded that you two talk about boundaries so you wouldn’t accidentally trigger each other in bed. You were lying on your back, hands behind your head and a smug grin on your face after making her scream out for the entire hotel to hear, and Florence was straddling your hips slowly grinding against you even after her own orgasm.
“What about color code?” She had asked with her husky voice and sexy accent.
“What about it?” You replied without having a clue what she was talking about because the way she was grinding against you was making your head spin.
Florence chuckled lowly, sending a shiver down your spine. “Red, yellow and green. So we can communicate more easily.”
“Why?” You frowned. “Can’t we just say stop and harder?”
“Because it’s sexy,” she had replied while leaning down, one hand brushing against your skin, up your abs, between your breasts, until her fingers closed around your throat and applied some pressure to make it a bit harder for you to breathe. “Color?” Florence asked in a whisper against your ear before her tongue darted out to lick a hot trail on your neck.
You gulped and your hips jerked trying to get more friction from her. Even so, you decided to be honest about it. “Yellow.”
“Why?” Florence wondered as her fingers lost strength around your throat and she leaned back to look at you.
You shrugged. “Not my thing, I suppose.”
She nodded then before lying on top of you again. This time, the other hand that had been serving as a support on the bed sneaked between your back and the mattress, going up until it reached the back of your head. There, she grabbed a handful of your hair and gave it a very gentle pull. So gentle you could only feel the pressure of her fingers holding your curls. “Color?” Florence asked again and you had to agree that it was a sexier way to discuss those types of things.
“That’s a very green situation,” you replied playfully. “Like, lime green situation.”
And then Florence chuckled against your ear and your hips picked up pace and the conversation ended up with both of you cumming all over each other. It had been one of the sexiest experiences in your life but it also proved to you that you could trust Florence and could trust being intimate with her. She respected you and you respected her, and, above all, you were friends.
That’s why you weren’t even a little ashamed of the almost pornographic moan that escaped your lips when, after you came for what felt like at least ten minutes, Florence rolled off you with a groan after putting her body to such extremes to bring you over the edge. She collapsed beside you in bed, even though you were lying right in the middle and hadn’t moved at all, and got rid of the toy and the sheets that were tangled on your legs. You were grateful for that because your body felt like it was on fire and even the thin sheet was making it worse.
“God, no one can make me cum as hard as you can,” you declared out of nowhere, making Florence snap her eyes back to you in surprise for a second before she chuckled. “I swear to God,” you insisted, even nodding a little before closing your eyes to try to get a hold of your breath.
“I'm flattered,” Florence replied in amusement as she leaned closer to give you a light bite on the shoulder.
You sighed and finally found enough strength to turn to your side so you could face her. There was a small gap between your bodies because you were still feeling too warm. “You should.” You smiled and wiggled your eyebrows. “I can't even feel my legs right now.”
It made Florence laugh again and, as she threw her head back, your eyes hungrily took on the column of her neck. “That's why you keep coming back for more,” she teased you and then reached out behind her to grab the water bottle she left there earlier that night.
You watched her for a moment - the gulp of water, her eyes dancing with mirth as she looked at you, her lips curling around the bottle - and accepted a sip of water when she offered you some. You handed her the bottle back already deciding to start talking. “You know… I was with someone else when you texted me yesterday.”
Florence didn’t look surprised or affected by the information, although her voice became a bit sarcastic when she spoke again. “Oh, no. Did I get you in trouble?”
You rolled your eyes at her fake concern. “No, not really. Well, I mean, a little bit,” you admitted with a grimace. “She got mad that I received a text from another girl but she promised it wasn’t because she was in love with me or anything. Something about feeling disposable.” You didn’t think you needed to tell Florence who you were with and you were sure she didn’t even care or wanted to know either, so you didn’t say it. Hailee’s secret would be safe.
“Friends with benefits does work a lot like that, yes,” Florence retorted with a knowing look, as if she knew all about what you were telling her. You wouldn’t be shocked to know that she went through something similar herself because, as far as you knew, you also weren’t Florence's first fuckbuddy.
She said nothing else after that, and neither did you for a while. Eventually, Florence closed her eyes as if she was about to go to sleep and you knew you had to say what you wanted before she started to snore beside you - you didn’t feel the same need to rush out of her bed like you did with everyone else.
“Flo?”
“Yeah?” She didn’t open her eyes or move from the comfortable position she was in - with one hand under her cheek and the other one resting on the mattress between you two.
You hesitated only for a second simply because you didn’t want to disturb the peace she seemed to have found. Even so, you needed to say it and Florence’s sleep would sadly have to wait a few more minutes. “Is there any chance this thing between us could ever be more?”
As expected, Florence’s eyes snapped open so fast that it was almost comical to watch it. “What?”
“Don’t freak out yet,” you told her, biting your lip to hold back a laugh that wanted to escape. “I'm not about to confess my undying love or something like that,” you promised her. “I was just wondering if there is even a small chance of us being more than just fuck buddies.”
Florence still looked too surprised to say anything more than some questions. “What brought this on?” She used one elbow to hold her body up to look at you.
“The girl from yesterday, actually. It got me thinking.” You shrugged and then mumbled: “Probably more than I should.” You sighed and rolled to your back to stare at the ceiling. “As cliche as it is, I’m not getting any younger. I'm older than you.” Even saying that made you cringe because you hated being reminded that you were older than those girls, that you most definitely were trying to be forever in your mid-twenties even though you had passed that already. “You’re still young and don't have to worry about those things yet, but I'm starting to think about having a serious relationship.” You turned your head to look at her and added: “Settle down,” as if she might not understand what you were trying to say.
Florence quirked one eyebrow. “And you think I'm the right person to do it with?”
Her reaction didn’t surprise you, of course. You two were friends who enjoyed sex with each other. Florence had never shown any extra interest in you other than that but, as you had realized the night before, she was the one person in your life who you could see maybe building up something more than casual sex with. That’s why you were having that conversation and you knew she would have her reservations about it since you just dropped the subject on her out of nowhere.
So, you tried to lighten up the mood with a smile and a little joke. “Well, it wouldn’t be fair with you, if I'm being honest.”
“What do you mean?”
“To tie you up with someone older when you’re still young enough to enjoy being single?” You gave her a playful stare. “What an asshole move.” To add some effect to your words, you rolled your eyes and scoffed to yourself before shrugging again. “But I'm a bit selfish, I guess.”
Florence watched you for a moment, still confused but starting to see what you were trying to say. “So why are we having this conversation?”
“Because I would like to know if this more serious thing I’m looking for could be found with you,” you confessed, never one to beat around the bush. “If so, we could give it a try.” You saw her opening her mouth to say something so you quickly kept talking. “I'm not saying we would immediately start dating and get married by the end of the year, but we would give it a try. It could work or it couldn’t.” That’s the only thing you wanted. To know if there was a chance for you two to at least try. Like you said, it might not work, but you knew that, if it didn’t, it wouldn’t affect your friendship. Florence might be younger than you but she was very mature and you would be able to handle it if things went south. “That’s how dating goes, you know?”
“And if not? We don’t have sex anymore?” Florence wondered and then dropped into bed again with a sad sigh. “That would be sad. Sex with you is pretty great.”
That made you laugh. “We don’t have to stop this. We can still fuck,” you told her. “I'm just telling you that I would start looking for someone else to build a relationship with. We can still fuck until I find that person.” That wasn’t exactly new. That’s exactly how every relationship works. You were allowed to have sex with whoever you wanted until you started something serious with someone. Most people wouldn’t let their friend with benefits know they were trying to find someone else to date but things were never traditional with Florence anyway.
“The girl from yesterday…?” The blonde wondered without finishing her phrase.
You quickly shook your head when you understood what she meant, though. “It wouldn’t work out like that between us. She knows it too.”
“And you think it would work with me?” Florence insisted and, this time, she sounded incredulous that you would think that.
“It could.” Again, you laughed. The look on her face was pretty priceless. You decided to turn on your side again so you two would be facing each other and playfully dragged your fingers on the mattress to poke her ribs. “You fuck me like nobody else, I trust you. Not everyone is allowed to fuck me on all fours, you know?” You joked, your nail scratching her skin. “Or pull my hair,” you added with a wink and then removed your hand from her body so you wouldn’t get too distracted. “We never tried to get further than that because we both agreed on the fuck buddies thing, but I think I could find many things about you to like. You're funny and extremely caring about everyone else. That’s enough for me to want to give it a try, if you want to.”
Florence hesitated long enough for you to know what her answer would be. It made you a little sad, of course, but you weren’t heartbroken by it. “And if I don’t, we’re not going to stop…”
“No.” You shook your head to put more emphasis on it.
And, to no one’s surprise, Florence sighed and said: “I'm sorry.”
You chuckled and reached out to squeeze her hand. “Don't be, Florence.”
“But I am,” she whined, intertwining her fingers with yours and bringing your joined hands to her chest. “I'm really sorry because you're a great person and I can see what you're saying about it possibly working out.” You tried not to think about the back of your fingers touching her boobs, though it was easier than expected because you just couldn’t look away from the sad look on her face. “But I'm not ready to have anything serious.”
“And that’s okay,” you said and meant every word. You wouldn’t hold it against her at all. You asked her a question and she answered it. Now you could move on. “You don’t have to do something you don’t feel ready to do. Especially something like this.”
“I'm sorry,” Florence repeated softly.
“Stop apologizing,” you chuckled again to let her know it was fine and she shouldn’t be feeling so guilty about it. “Thank you for being honest and saving both of us some time, okay?” To show her how grateful you were for that, you leaned in and brushed your lips against her collarbone before letting your teeth grasp against the soft skin there. “Now, I remember you saying something about more sex. My legs are still shaking but my mouth is working just fine.”
And that was it.
No hard feelings.
You saw Florence two more times after that before she left town to go shoot her new movie somewhere in Europe. You had sex at one of those times but you both had brunch with a few friends in common the other day and it was good to realize nothing had changed. You both promised to keep in touch after Florence went to the airport and talked about maybe seeing each other again in a few months when she was done shooting and you were done with your own job, and that was the end of it.
Sadly, it was the end quite literally.
Florence’s shooting delayed several weeks due to bad weather and, by the time she was back in the US, you had left to shoot a series in Australia. When you returned home, she was in the UK. When you went to Europe, she was doing a press tour in Japan. And so on. Your agendas were always clashing and you never stumbled over each other. You saw her briefly once when you attended the same award show almost a year after the last time you had sex but you had to catch a plane right after the award was over.
Even though you didn’t meet in person, you never stopped talking over texts and eventual calls when you had the time. Florence was still your friend and you enjoyed talking with her.
Life kept going on like that.
You called off most of your casual hookups with time but you tried to focus on your job more than your romantic life despite what you have decided about having a serious relationship. You wanted it, but you didn’t want to rush into anything out of desperation just to regret it later. Things would fall in place with time, you were certain of it.
Close to the two-year anniversary of the conversation you had with Florence, you received the news that a new Marvel movie was going to start being shot in a couple of months and most of the cast was going to be called back to do it. That meant you would work with her again but not only her. Many of your old friends would be there and you were very excited to live all of that with them again.
When the announcement was made, Scarlett reached out to ask all the women to a dinner party in her house and you obviously accepted it. Scarlett was a dear friend of yours and you would’ve agreed to meet her for dinner despite of the reason, although she added more reasons for you to say eyes when she said she was trying to get the girls back together before shooting. You saw some known faces in there and it was an amazing night. You all ate, talked, laughed and joked all night, and you had such a great time there that you had a permanent smile on your face when you walked out of the door by the end of it.
Brie was talking loudly while walking towards the cab that she had called to herself and Florence was standing beside you while you two watched her go in amusement. That was the first time in a long time that you two spent time together and you couldn’t deny that you had missed it. Florence made it easy to enjoy her presence.
After Brie was safely inside the car, you turned to walk to where you had parked since you all had already said your goodbyes, but Florence’s voice stopped you in your tracks. “Hey, would you like to grab a drink? We could go to my hotel, they have an excellent bar by the lobby.”
You smiled because, yes, you had hoped you two could catch up, but you had thought about asking Florence to go to a new restaurant with you the next day or something. You turned back to her and nodded. “I would love that, yes.”
That’s how you two ended up sitting at the bar stools laughing loudly without a care in the world. You had talked a lot during the dinner but you two found more things to talk about. It was easy to talk with Florence, it was easy to tell her silly stories and make fun of yourself because you knew she wouldn’t judge you for any of it. And you loved to hear her talk about her own life and her own adventures and everything that happened at the time you hadn’t seen each other.
You lost track of time and you were surprised when you glanced at your phone and saw it was almost two in the morning already. There was just one other table being occupied and two other clients on the stools by the counters but you could tell the people on the bar were praying everyone would leave soon so they could clean up and go home. You were just thinking about calling it a night and asking Florence to meet up again tomorrow when you felt her fingers brushing on the back of your hand timidly.
“So… Did you meet that person?”
You didn’t have to ask what she was talking about. “I did, yes,” you admitted and then shrugged. “It didn’t work out but that's fine.” You had met someone who you thought might be the person for you but it all went downhill pretty quickly after five months together. “We’re still friends.”
She nodded slowly in understanding. “Anyone else now?”
You could see where this was going, even more so because the fingers on your hand were drawing little circles against your skin and because her eyes were glued to yours. You had been on the end of Florence’s flirting many times before to know she was trying to subtly say what she wanted that night. You didn’t mind. In fact, you were suddenly very excited about it. As said before, you had hoped, but didn’t expect it to happen.
“No,” you replied with a smirk as your other hand found a way to her thigh, barely covered by the dress she was wearing. She smiled back at you, eyes sparkling, and you felt your heart melt inside your chest a little. “I'm happy to see you again, Flo,” you confessed in an unusual emotional moment. “It's been a long time.”
Florence nodded eagerly and licked her lips all while slipping from the stool and tugging at your hand to do the same. “Way too long, yes.”
Hours later, you were both naked on the bed again, sheets kicked to the floor, bodies sweaty, short breaths, scratched backs. Even after so long, you two still had the same chemistry as before. It was still easy. Still amazing.
You were lying on your stomach, both arms beneath the pillow where your head was resting, eyes closed as you felt her fingertips brush against your back. The last time you checked, Florence was lying on your side looking at you but you were feeling too tired to open your eyes again to see if she moved. Besides, the air around you two felt like she was trying to gather up enough courage to start a conversation and you didn’t want to ruin the moment.
Whatever she wanted to say, it looked important.
You were starting to feel sleep creep in when you finally heard Florence sighing.
“The conversation we had a year ago.” Florence didn’t say more. She didn’t finish her sentence or start something else, and you just knew she had lost courage in the middle of her phrase.
You almost smiled. Instead, you decided to ask her: “What about it?”
You couldn’t see her but Florence bit her bottom lip and her eyes looked at you with something between concern and longing on them. “I wasn't ready then but… If you still think we could give it a try…”
You had hoped.
But you didn’t expect it.
You smiled, eyes still closed. “Aren't you going to ask me out on a date, Ms Pugh?”
“Would you say yes?”
“I don't know.” It was becoming harder to hold back the laugh that wanted to escape. “You didn’t ask yet.”
Florence chuckled and you finally cracked one eye open to see her nose scrunch in that adorable way it always did. Florence’s fingers never stopped drawing random patterns on your back. “Would you go on a date with me? Almost two years later because it took me some time to catch up with you.”
Something you would never blame her for, of course. Florence was still young then. She still is now but those two years had matured her a lot from what you could tell. Not to mention that things between us wouldn’t have worked back then. Not with the crazy schedule you both have. If she had said yes back then and you two tried to date, you wouldn’t have the time to actually be together. No relationship would ever work like that.
But now… Now she was older, she knew what she wanted and so did you, and you were about to slow down on your agendas for a while. It was the perfect time to try it.
“I would love to,” you finally answered and saw her muscles visibly relaxed. You closed your eye again, smiling and trying not to look so damn smug about it. “You pick the restaurant and I will wear something nice for you to take it off by the end of the night.”
Her husky laugh filled the room. “I like the sound of that.”
After saying that, Florence curled against your side and you both fell asleep soon after that.
[...]
“Hey, Y/N?” The mattress beside you moved when Florence turned around in your arms to look at your face and you almost screamed in frustration because you were just a second away from falling asleep.
“What?” You groaned.
“Are you awake?” Florence asked with a low tone.
“Who do you think answered you?” You retorted with a huff but were unable to not find it amusing.
“I wanted to thank you for giving me another chance,” Florence said after a brief pause. “I didn’t even deserve the first one you gave me. I was immature enough to be scared. I didn’t even give it a try.”
This time, you groaned louder because, no, you didn’t want to have that conversation at - you glanced at the clock on the nightstand - four in the morning. “Go to sleep, Florence,” you begged after resting your head back on the pillow and closing your eyes.
“I just wanted to say that,” she kept going. “And that I love you. Very much.”
Well, you couldn’t not reply to that. You sighed but smiled, and then pulled her ever closer to you so you could kiss her forehead. “I love you too, Florence,” you whispered against her skin. “But I will be asking for a divorce if you don’t let me sleep now.”
Florence chuckled. “That would be the fastest a marriage has ever ended,” she joked and her words made the weight of the ring on your finger intensify.
You still couldn’t believe you two got married a couple of hours ago after dating for over three years. It felt like a dream yet and you wondered how long it would take for you to get used to the cold metal around your finger. You would have to get used to it because you would wear it for the rest of your life, after all.
“Sorry, I think Britney would still beat us,” you responded jokingly. “No record for you.”
“Guess we need to remain married then.” She forced a sigh to pretend she was annoyed by it and you pinched her side.
“What a burden,” you agreed after she laughed. “To be married to the love of your life forever? Ugh.” You faked a gag and were rewarded with another chuckle. You could spend the rest of your life listening to it and, thankfully, you would.
Once she was done laughing, Florence snuggled even closer - if that was even possible - and sighed contently against your neck. “I love you.” She kissed your jaw. “Good night.”
“Night.”

You were standing in your apartment balcony waiting for your girlfriend, Kate Bishop, to join you. Suddenly, she came out holding a blindfold.
Kate: Put this on.
Soon after, she was leading you up a flight of stairs with the blindfold over your eyes.
Y/n: Katie, what are you doing? We're going to miss the eclipse?
Kate: I told you, it's a surprise.
Once you reached the top, she removed your blindfold, and you saw she had laid out a blanked on the roof with a bunch of sun and moon themed snacks and drinks.
Y/n: Wow, this is amazing, Katie.
Kate: I figured we should make the most of this one in twenty years opportunity.
You kissed her before you both sat down on the blanket with a moon pie and a Sunkist soda. As the eclipse started, you both lowered the glasses over your eyes as the moon passed over the sun.

“It’s pretty nice working with your best friend, huh?” I playfully threw my shoulder into Hailee’s arm as we walked off set.
“It’s alright, I guess.” She replied sarcastically before throwing her arm over me and my arm slide around her waist.
“Nice work, ladies.” The blonde brit approached as I greeted her with a smile. When Hailee didn’t give her usual, ‘thank you’, my eyes shot up to check on her. To my surprise, Hailee’s eyes were glued to Florence.
“Thanks, Pugh. I mean, you absolutely killed it out there!” I gushed as her eyes nervously fell to the floor.
“Not as good as you, darling. You’re so talented.” Her golden green eyes locked with mine.
I chuckled to myself. “Oh shut up.” I shoved her shoulder away.
“I’m serious!” She protested through giggles. “Do you two have plan for dinner tonight?” I visually checked in with Hailee who had yet to say anything.
“Yeah.” I answered for both of us. “My mom actually invited us over for dinner tonight.” My arm wrapped around hers and squeezed to bring her back to reality.
“Wait, really?”
“Yeah. Sorry, I forgot to mention that on the drive over.”
“I see.” Florence’s smile slightly dimmed. “Another time.”
“Forsure.” Hailee finally spoke to Florence.
“Well, I’ll see you tomorrow.” Her eyes bounced between ours before we walked away to the trailers.
I finished getting changed first as I knocked on Hailee’s trailer door. “Hey, Haiz.” My hand slowly pulled the door open as I entered. Hailee had her back to me with her baggy jeans and white tank on. Her hazel eyes looked at me over her shoulder. “Hey, babe.” She threw her leather jacket over her shoulders. “Ready?”
“No.” Hailee froze for a second before adjusting her jacket. “Not until you tell me what’s wrong?”
“What?!” She tried to push past me. “What are you talking about?”
My hand held her at bay. “Don’t bullshit me, Steinfeld.” I shoved her back. “You were in your head when we- Actually, when I was talking to Florence.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She tried to get past me again as her arm snuck around me and opened the door. “Come on. Let’s not keep your mom waiting.”
“Hailee,” My hand landed on hers as I closed the door. A new look grew on Hailee. One I had never seen before. She was mad. She was mad at me. “We’re not going to my mom’s.”
“What?! But you said- Why?!”
“I just said that because you didn’t seem like you were in a good headspace.” My hand peeled hers from the door.
She took a deep breath. I waited patiently for the flood gates, instead I got chuckles in my face. “It’s not that. It’s just- It’s stupid. Can we just for get about it please?”
She shook her head and started for the door again. I grabbed her chin and made her look me in the eyes. “Tell. Me.” The swirls of light brown and green now locked with mine. My safety net. My safehouse. My place. My home. Although something had shifted. Something on her face that I couldn’t quite read.
“I got nervous.” Her eyes danced between mine. “I… I have a crush.”
My eyebrows raised. “On Florence?”
“Yeaah.” Her voice fell unconfidently with shakiness in her single word. Nervousness? Embarrassment?
“Aww. Really?” My lip pouted out. “Aw, look at my baby gay with her first gay panic.” I pinched her cheek as she swatted my hand away. “Welcome to the Alphabet Mafia. I knew you’d join me eventually.” We shared at laugh as I opened the door. “We’re getting celebratory burgers! On me!” I skipped out as Hailee followed while shaking her head.
“Have you thought about telling your family?” I asked while driving Hailee home.
“Um, yeah. I think they’ll be fine with it.”
“Psh, yeah they will. They love you so much. I wouldn’t see why not. I’m just saying if you ever have any questions, you know you can talk to me right?” I took a flash look at her in the passenger seat. Her head looked out the window and her mind on someone else. My hand stretched over the console and onto her thigh. She slightly jumped at contact. “You really like this girl, huh?”
“I don’t know.” She mindlessly answered.
The car pulled into her driveway as I threw it park. “What else is bothering you?” My body leaned against the door.
“What? Nothing's bothering me.”
With my arms crossed over my chest, I gave her a look of really? “Hailee, I can read you like a children’s book. Stop holding back from me.”
“I actually- I don’t know.” She threw her head into the headrest. “What about coming out to the public? What if it’s just a phase or what if the press ruins the relationship or what if-?”
“Babe.” Her quick spew of words came to halt. “Fuck them. You only need to come out to the people you care about. If they truly care about you, then then will love you and Florence.” She bit her lip and looked out the window again. “Hey,” I squeezed her thigh. “You deserve to be happy. And if your happiness makes other people upset, then that’s on them. You’re not responsible for their emotions and feelings. Understand?” She nodded.
I got up and walked around the car. I opened her door and opened my arms. Her worried melted in my arms as I squeezed her tight. “Get some sleep. Don’t forget you’re picking me up tomorrow. I will see you the morning.” My hand slightly pushed on her waist as she peeled away. “The second one is the most important. Please don’t forget that one.” She giggled as we walked to her door. “There she is.” I sang as we stopped at her door. On my toes, I pecked a kiss on her cheek. “Goodnight, Haiz.”
“Goodnight. Text me when you get home.” She opened her door with the biggest smile.
“Will do.”
With coffee in hand and bag in the other, my feet trudged out to Hailee’s car. “Well good morning, sunshine.” Hailee said with her typical early bird smile.
“I will never understand how you’re so chipper this early in the morning. I seriously need a gallon of coffee to recover from the World War 3 going on between my body and my mind just to get out fo bed.” She laughed.
“You’re ridiculous, you know that?”
“Well you chose me so what does that make you?”
“Hmm...crazy.” I shrugged as I took a sip of my coffee.
“You said it, not me.” Hailee reached her hand over onto my thigh as we drove off. This was one of the things I loved about my friendship. She understood how much of a cuddly person I am because she was one too. I’ve never had a friendship like this before. But Haiz wasn’t like my other friends. She knew me on a deeper level than most people. She was my rock and I was hers
Flashback to five years ago
“Hi, I’m Hailee.” The taller girl looked down at me with a sweet smile.
“Hi. I’m y/n.” I smiled back. “Sorry. I’m a little nervous. This is my first big movie like this.”
She simply smiled back. She didn’t make fun of me or belittle me. Instead, she playfully threw her shoulder into me. “You’re gonna do amazing. I can feel it.”
My back straightened up with confidence. “You know what? No. We are gonna do amazing.” I offered her my hand as she quickly took it and we walked onto set.
“I can’t believe you’re dating Niall Horan!” We only met a couple days ago, but it felt like we met a lifetime ago.
“I can’t believe you’re dating Dove-” My hand flew over her mouth.
“Shhh.” My head on a swivel as I looked around for any witnesses. “I’m not out yet.”
“What does that mean?”
“Out?” She nodded. “Like I haven’t told anyone that I’m…” I checked my surroundings again. “That I’m lesbian.” My head dropped. “To anyone really… I mean beside to Dove. Of course.” My head quickly snapped back up to her. “I guess that makes you the second person.”
“Well, I’m very honored to be the second.” Her face beaming with a prideful smile.
“You…” My confidence felt faulty as my eyes wandered off. “You don’t have to pretend. I get it if it makes you feel uncomfortable and you don’t wanna be my friend anymore.”
“No! No. No at all! I mean, you’re happy and in love. What more could you ask for?”
The glimmer of hope and love in my eyes could be seen from space. “Thank you…”
“For what?”
"For not leaving me.”
“You’re stuck with me forever now.”
“You know, you’re my favorite person in the whole world, right?” I took in her side profile as a little grin formed.
“Yeah.” She squeeze my thigh. “Of course, I love hearing you say it, though.”
“Can you promise me something?” She stopped at a red light and nodded for me to continue. “Promise me that no matter what happens, no matter who you end up with that you’ll still be my best friend.”
“I promise.” My hand squeezed the back of hers. “You’re stuck with me forever.”
My smile started to get too big as I bit my lip. “I didn’t know you could read minds.” My happiness now pouring out through the redness of my cheeks. “I know, I don’t say this nearly enough, but thank you. You do so much for me. You’ve always been there for me. Through all the highs and lows. Through thick and thin. I can’t imagine where I’d be without you.”
“And I would do it all over again. I quite literally would do anything for you.” Her attention went back to the road as the light changed.
“I’d do anything for you too. You know, I’d even third wheel with you so you can go after yet another blonde brit.” I chuckled to myself. “Although this one is a significant upgrade.” The car was silent as Hailee was focused on the road ahead. Whatever would get her closer to her newfound love interest. I let her mind wander as I pulled out my phone.
Hailee pulled into the parking lot as she threw her car in park. “Love,” Hailee said as I hopped out of the car. “I need to tell you something.”
My legs cautiously got back in the passenger seat with the door close behind me. “Well, that’s always a fun conversation starter.”
“Look, I just need you to listen to me. Just- just don’t say anything, okay?” I nodded as she took a deep breath. “I lied.” My eyebrows furrowed at her. “I don’t have a crush on Florence.” I tried to control my facial expressions as she continued. “Actually, I don’t have a crush on anyone.” She’s lost me now. So she doesn’t like women? “I’m actually in love.” I released my breath and pouted my lip. “With you.” I blinked a few times as my brain tried to process the last two words. With me? They spun around in my head as I started to get lightheaded. “I just saw Florence checking you out and complimenting you and, I don’t know, this like feeling in my stomach. I was angry and sad and hurt. It’s all confusing. Just thinking about you being with Florence made me sick. Maybe I’m just being possessive, but no one could ever love you like I could. I mean, if you’ll let me or even remotely feel the same. I’m scared I may be ruining this amazing friendship we have, but fuck it. I want to be happy and in love with you.” Hailee took a deep breath after the spiel.
“Can I speak now?” She nodded cautiously. “Hailee Steinfeld, can I please take you on a date tonight?”
She smiled. “I would love that more than anything.”

Hello! How are you doing?
Is it okay if I request Hailee Steinfeld x female reader with cold heated(reader) x sunshine(Hailee). Like, where the reader has the soft spot for the actress?
with friends like you, who needs friends? [H.Steinfeld]
Tumblr media
pairing: hailee steinfeld x reader
summary: you had always said relationships weren't for you but a certain brunette seems hellbent on proving you wrong.
warnings: party + alcohol = drunk hailee; R doesn't drink, they just get to watch the chaos unfold; one (1) makeout session; hailee's puppy-dog eyes [yes, they need a warning]
wordcount: 1.5k
a/n: this is basically just black cat gf x golden retriever gf so do with that information what you will. hailee's a little bit kate bishop coded in this one but shhh.
* * * * * * *
Was there anything worse than being forced to come to a party you didn’t want to be at? Turns out the answer is yes. Somehow, your friends had all decided to team up against you to turn tonight into an absolute mess.
Okay, maybe you were being dramatic but with good reason.
Your friends had found out about the significant Hailee-shaped soft spot in your usually impenetrable heart and they had chosen tonight to force the evidence out of you. The worst part of the whole ordeal is the fact that the party was technically your idea.
You had jokingly told Hailee she ought to hold more parties considering how gorgeous her house is and she wasted no time in planning one. There was quite literally no reason for the shindig you had been forced to come to but no one seemed to mind. No one except you.
Although you slowly stopped being such a grump about it the more you saw a certain brunette smile.
Unfortunately, your shift from annoyance to heart-eyes doesn’t go unnoticed by your friends who keep sending you knowing looks every time you slip away from them to talk to an increasingly unsober Hailee. You had never been the type to feel protective over the people in your life but clearly, she’s the exception to most of your rules.
Including your rule against relationships.
“y/n!” Hailee’s voice greets you the second you step into her kitchen. “There you are, I’ve been looking for you!”
You bite your tongue to stop yourself from teasing her for the noticeable slur to her words. “I’ve been in the same spot all night, Haiz.”
She makes a face at the nickname. Her disdain for you calling her had been made obvious a few weeks ago but you still didn't understand it. She seems to love it when people call her Haiz, why are you the exception?
“You've been moping on my couch since the party started,” she half-complains, half-informs.
“I'm not the party type,” you reply with a shrug. “And I'm not moping.”
“Then why do you have that look on your face?”
You raise an eyebrow in response which prompts the brunette to attempt to recreate your ‘moping’ look. You’re not sure if she’s trying to make you smile or if she’s making fun of you but you quickly realize you don’t really mind either way. Especially considering how cute she looks with that exaggerated pout on her face.
“I look nothing like that,” you say, the smallest of smiles grazing your face.
She shrugs. “True but I made you smile.”
“You’re unbelievable.”
“You’re the one with the crush.”
Your face heats up a noticeable amount, at least, that’s what the smirk Hailee wears tells you. You’re not one to be outmatched though so you do your best to recover. “I think you’ve got that backward, darling.”
Your hands grip her waist and you gently guide her backward until she’s trapped between you and a counter. You stare at her, waiting for the clever comeback that never comes. You worry you’ve crossed some invisible boundary when she practically lunges forward to press her lips to yours.
The action catches you off guard but you quickly recover, stepping closer and pulling her flush against you. It’s not the first time you’ve both gotten lost in each other but it leaves you breathless and trembling all the same. You never thought a kiss could make you question so many things about who you are and what you want yet here you are.
You had always swore off love and relationships and all the stuff that makes most people’s stomach flutter in ridiculous ways. You didn’t want any of that. At least, not until Hailee kissed you for the first time which turned into a second time which turned into many, many, more times. Times that left you wondering why the hell you’re so hellbent on not asking her out.
Right now is another one of those times.
You hold back a groan as Hailee bites down on your lower lip, a silent signal to get out of your head and back into the real world. You’re happy to oblige with her wish.
You part from her wine-stained lips long enough to help hoist her onto the counter you were so happily pinning her against. Her arms go around you in an instant, pulling you between her legs and holding you there as you lean in for another kiss.
You’re well aware of all the reasons why you shouldn’t be making out in her kitchen but they fade to nothing the longer she holds you close.
You’re forced to pull away when your lungs start burning from the lack of air. The tiniest, and most adorable, of pouts crosses Hailee’s face and you find yourself peppering kisses across her face to make her laugh. Your strategy works a little too well and soon the only sound you can hear is her.
You almost forget where you are until the sound of playful whistles and hollers fills your ears. You roll your eyes at the intrusion and reluctantly step away from the brunette, turning around to find Eiza, Billie, and Ella as the culprits. You can’t say you’re surprised.
“Oh no, don’t let us ruin the moment,” Ella says with a laugh. “You looked quite cozy, love.”
“This is why I never visit you when I’m in New York,” you reply, falling back into your usual, more aloof, personality.
“Guys, guys, she’s blushing!” Billie joins in. “I’ve never seen our resident heartbreaker blush before.”
You decide not to reply, knowing whatever you say will just be fuel for the fire of their teasing remarks. While you understand their jokes are coming from a good place, they get annoying quickly so you shoot Hailee a brief look before stepping out of the kitchen and finding your way back to your ‘moping’ spot.
Your peace doesn’t last long, however, and soon you’re joined on the couch by the four people you left behind. You can’t really complain considering the way Hailee curls up against your side.
You wrap a protective arm around her, ready to spring to action the moment she feels sick due to all the drinks in her system. She swears she’s ‘just tipsy’ but she very clearly chugged a few drinks in the moments before she joined you on the couch. It’s especially noticeable in the way she literally clings to you…not that you mind.
You sort of follow the conversation that flows easily between the friend group but you quickly realize Hailee’s been staring at you for the past few minutes. You turn your head slightly to face before you speak. “You okay, Haiz?”
There’s that look again. “I hate it when you call me that.”
“Why?” You find yourself asking, the rest of the party falling to the background.
“Because everyone calls me that.” The slur in her words becomes a bit more obvious this time. “And you’re…special. I want to be special to you.”
A part of you is aware that she’s just drunk and she probably doesn’t even know what she’s saying right now but the vulnerable glint in her eyes melts you all the same. “Hey, you are special to me. I wouldn’t be here if you weren’t.”
“But you don’t want me,” she argues.
“Who told you that?”
“You. You don’t date anyone. Not even me.”
Her words tug at your heart, mainly because she’s not wrong. You had told her that during your first night out together and pretended you didn’t notice the way her smile fell when you made it clear you weren’t looking for anything serious. A lot has changed since then, though, and suddenly the thought of being in a relationship doesn’t seem so bad.
“What if I told you I changed my mind?”
“You don’t have to lie to make me feel better, y/n.”
“I’m not lying.”
A few moments pass while her eyes scan your face almost as if she’s searching for signs of trickery in your features. The most beautiful smile you’ve ever seen lights up her face once she realizes you’re serious.
In an instant, she leans in toward you and you force yourself to pull back. Her eyes open when she realizes you moved away, her adorable pout making a comeback. There’s a silent question in her features you do your best to answer.
“Babe, trust me, I would love to kiss you but there’s no way you’re going to remember most of this tomorrow.”
“I’m not that drunk.”
“I know, you’re ‘just tipsy’ but still.” You reach up and run a hand through her hair. “My mind is made up.”
“You do know we’ve kissed before, right?”
“Are you going to spend the rest of the night complaining?” You ask, your tone more playful than annoyed. “I can just go home if you want.”
You don’t make any move to stand up but Hailee reacts as if you had pushed her off of you. She wraps her arms around your waist and practically buries her face in your neck. All you can do is chuckle and pull her closer to silently reassure her you’re not leaving.
You might be forced to endure more of your friends teasing you about how soft you are with the brunette but you don't care. You don't need anything else as long as you've got Hailee. And you know the same can be said for her.

[Pairings]: Kate Bishop x Barton!Fem!Reader
[Summary]: When Kate decides to spend the christmas at Clints house she never expected to find you there too.
[warnings]: Kissing, making out, swearing
-----------------------------------------------------------
Clint parks the car beside his house and looks at Kate. “ You ready? “ Kate nods and gets out of the car, Lucky the Pizza Dog following closely behind her. She rounds the car and Clint opens the trunk and picks up a few gifts. Kate does the same and they start walking towards the house.
Lila, Cooper and Nathaniel immediately run outside and hug their dad. “ Hi, kids. It’s so good to see you. “ He laughs as he hugs them back then looks at Kate. “ Guys, this is Kate. She is going to stay with us for a while. Is that alright? “ They nod and start taking the gifts from her hands; Kate laughed and stepped inside.
Laura is waiting inside and as soon as she sees Clint she smiles and hugs him. “ Hey, babe. Where is my first little monkey? “
“Ugh, dad! I told you to stop calling me that! It’s weird. “ You say coming down the stairs with your head in a book. Clint lets go of Laura and hugs you tightly. “ How was college? “
“ Tiring. Boring and a nightmare. “ You pull out from the hug and turn to the side to see Kate staring at you. Clint backs up and stands beside her.
“ Y/N, this is Kate. I hope you won’t mind her staying in your room for a while “ All you could do was nod as you processed what was happening.
“ This is your daughter? “ Whispered Kate to Clint. He turned to her; confused.
“ Yeah? “
You stood still for a moment then looked back at them. “ Yeah, no problem. She can stay in my room. “  You said then started walking towards your siblings.
“Nothing “ Kate mumbled to Clint as she watched you walk towards Nathaniel  and bending down to help him with something.
-
You were in your  bathroom getting ready for the Family Christmas Dinner when the door opened and you whipped your head around to see Kate leaning against the door and looking at you up and down. “ What are you doing here? “ You whisper shouted as you took a step closer to her.
“ Me? What are you doing here? You never told me Hawkeye was your Dad! “ She exclaimed.
“ I didn’t want you to freak out or fangirl over him. It would have been weird. “ You said as you brushed your hands over her neat suit jacket. She nodded and looked down at you. She put her hands on your hips as your hands slowly traveled up to her face; holding it.
“ Fair enough, darling “ She smirked and kissed your lips slowly. You sighed into the kiss and your hand went to the back of her head to deepen the kiss. She straightened up and pushed you against the sink as her hands traveled  around on your body. You hummed  as you felt her hands land on your ass. Her lips were like heaven to you, and you just couldn’t get enough.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Clint's voice was heard “ I’m coming in! “Your eyes widened and you and Kate quickly separated from each other- but you both knew there was no use- and the door opened. Clint slowly looked at Kate then at you and your messy clothes and his face scrunched up in disgust.
“ What the fuck? “
“ Look dad- “ You tried, but he took a step in and looked Kate dead in the eye.
“ Clint, i-i- can explain! “ Kate said as she put her hands up. He looked at her, waiting for her to continue. “ Y/N and I are together, okay? We met in New York when I was walking around her college, because my friend was there and I ran into her. Then we started seeing each other whenever I went there and soon we got together. “
He nodded, still trying to process. “ Well then, all I'm saying is, “ Clint looked at you both as he paused. “ That there will be no funny-business between you two in this house, okay?  I don’t wanna wake up to my daughter moaning my partner's name in the middle of the night. “ You and Kate nodded and started walking out of your bathroom.
“ Dinner is in 30 minutes! “

kate bishop x reader
Tumblr media
summary: kate was a dream about you.
warnings: smut but it doesnt actually go anywhere, wet dream? lmk if theres more
a/n: this is really short, might be expanded into a lil series do not repost for any reason.
soft skin under kate’s calloused hands, the feel of your lips against hers, the warmth radiating off of your body. it was unreal to kate, the was no way this was actually happening.
she ran her thumb across the inside of your waistband, snapping it back against your skin. you whine, arching into her. kate takes that as her sign, sneaking her hand into your pants and cupping you through you underwear. kate let out a groan at the growing wet spot under her fingertips.
“so wet,” she mumbles against your lips. you move to trail kisses down her neck.
“mhm,” you hum against her skin. she rubs you through your underwear, heat growing in the pit of her stomach. “kate.” you whisper against her neck.
“yeah?” she pinches your nipple with her free hand.
“kate.”
“hmm?”
“kate,” your voice seems farther away. kate glances down at you, no longer feeling your lips against her neck. “kate.”
kate jolts awake, pushing herself off of the couch. she looks up at you, cheeks flushed. “hmm?” she hums groggily.
“dinner is ready, clint told me to come wake you up,” you say, offering a hand to her. kate looks at it and all she can remember is the feeling of you against her body. for a moment, shes back in that dream with her hands all over you. she shakes her head, ridding herself of the dirty thoughts that sneak into her mind, and takes your hand, pulling herself off of the couch.

How about some Hailee fluff? Like Hailee having a bad day or something and when she gets home reader takes care of her
My Angel
Pairing: Hailee Steinfeld x Reader
Summary: When your girlfriend comes home after a long and tiring day of film promotion, you do everything you can to take care of her.
Pinch of Angst (literally will miss it if you blink) | Fluff | No Warnings | 1K |
AC: I haven’t written for Hailee in so long! Thank you for requesting some more Hailee, I hope you enjoy it x
Tumblr media
The apartment was filled with the soft sound of your favorite playlist playing ever so softly as you were curled up on the sofa with a book. You'd spent the entire day doing some spring cleaning and getting dinner on for when your girlfriend, Hailee came home. She was out all day, every day for the entire week promoting her new film and as much as Hailee loved her job, you could see this week was starting to take its toll on her.
So, to help make her day a little better, you decided to surprise her with her favorite meal for dinner. With dinner in the slow cooker, it gave you some free time to relax and try to finish up the book you had been reading for the last two days. The raddle of keys jiggling in the door made you smile softly to yourself as you closed your book, ready to greet Hailee.
"Hi love! How was your day?" You smiled softly when your girlfriend looked at you with those big beautiful brown eyes that you loved so dearly. Hailee sighed as she kicked off her heels, "it was fine" she replied but you knew something wasn't fine. You opened your arms for her and she wasted no time crashing into your arms. "I missed you so much" she spoke as you hugged her tightly, "I missed you too darling" you replied.
You held her for a while, just standing in the middle of the hall holding her. It was awkward or anything, it felt nice, and you knew she needed it. "I washed your pjs and placed them on the bed for you and I have your favourite cooking in the slow cooker" you spoke, breaking the silence.
"Mm" she hummed, "is that what smells so good?" she pulled away with a soft smile.
"Let's hope it taste as good as it smells" you chuckled before you helped Hailee take off her coat, "do you want to talk about today?" you asked. Hailee shook her head, "I'm exhausted and just wanna be with you" she replied.
"Well, how about I run you a relaxing bath or if you'd rather, a perfect shower and by the time you're done, dinner should be ready. We can eat then for dessert, I have made homemade apple pie we can eat while watching some movies, if you want" you offered.
"I could use one of your perfect showers" Hailee smiled.
"A perfect shower coming right up!"
The bathroom filled with stream when Hailee entered, your hand under the water to make sure it was the perfect temperature before adding a shower streamer on the floor. Using one of her favorite ones, the cherry blossom tree scent brought a smile to her lips as you placed it in the corner of the shower floor.
"Your shower is ready my love" you smiled at her, placing a kiss on her forehead.
"Thank you, baby" Hailee replied.
You loved taking care of her, even if it was just small things like running her a shower or fixing her a sandwich and after being together for over four years, you could always tell when Hailee needed a break and needed some extra TLC.
While she was in the shower you started to dish up dinner before putting a home-made apple pie in the oven for later. It was long until you felt Hailee wrap her arms around your waist and pull her closer into her, "thank you my angel, you're amazing" she spoke before placing a gently kiss on your left cheek. You turned in her arms, wrapping your arms gently behind her neck "anything for you" you replied with a soft smile.
"You should come with me tomorrow, I have a couple of interviews and a photoshoot" Hailee kindly brushed a lock of hair behind your ear as you nodded at her suggestion, "I'd love to come!" You replied before kissing her deeply. "But right now, let's not think about work, let's have some dinner and some apple pie later" you added before turning in her arms again and grabbing the two plates of food.
——
After dinner, Hailee helped you with the dishes before the two of you rested on the sofa while trying to find a movie to watch. Hailee snuggled up to your side, tracing random patterns on the exposed skin of your stomach as you flicked through the ever ending list of movies, suggesting one after another.
You couldn't help but smile to yourself at the sight of your girlfriend in her own little world. It was moments likes this that you would always treasure the most. With your free hand you began to run your fingers through her long brown hair just as you both finally agreed on a movie.
"Babe" Hailee's voice stopped you from pressing play, "yes baby?" You looked at her with a comforting smile. By the look in her eyes, you knew what she was going to ask. "Could we have our pie now? The smell is making me hungry again" she asked followed by a chuckle.
"Right when I got comfy, I knew it!" You playfully rolled your eyes before getting up from the sofa to get a slice of pie each.
"You're the best!! I love you!" Hailee called out.
"Yeah, yeah" you joked.
The night ended with the crumbles of left over apple pie slices on small plates on the coffee table while Hailee snored softly in your arms, your fingers continuing to run through her hair as you finished the end of the movie. She looked to peaceful to move so you put on another movie to which you fell asleep to. By morning, Hailee woke up in your arms. A soft smile tugged at her lips when she looked up at you and saw you were still asleep, the television remote on the floor and the TV on Netflix's home screen. She placed a soft kiss on your forehead as she got up before covering you with a throw blanket "I love you" she whispered before making her way into the kitchen to make herself a coffee.

Tumblr media
..........................................................................................
You slept peacefully in your soft, warm bed, the window open, which why you could hear the birds chirping, the sun shining through the glass of the window into the room. and the most beautiful of all, Hailee's hands clasped around you and her leg over your hip. And her warm breath that you feel on your neck. It was perfect. Especially because it's your and Hailee's relationship's anniversary. You and Hailee have been together for exactly 5 years today so you wanted to make something special for her.
Something you always do on your anniversary is breakfast. Usually you would just go to the bakery, buying Hailee her favorite things, serving it on the dining table and wait in the kitchen until she steps into the room with sleepy eyes, messy bun, and wearing an oversized t- shirt.
But not this time.
You wanted to make her a breakfast in bed. It's something different but it still has the point of your tradition.
So you slowly climbed out of bed and directly went into the kitchen where you took the time to make delicious looking pancakes, some fresh orange juice, coffee and before you could change your mind you went to the bakery too. You served all the stuff on two big plates and went back into the bedroom where you found a snoring Hailee. She looked adorable sleeping in your hoodie and snuggling into your pillow, like she has missed your scent. You love her so incredibly much.
After some time staring at your sleeping girlfriend you put on one of your favorite songs "We fell in love in october" to wake her up. You love this song especially when you listen to it with Hailee, because you fell in love with her in october, so did she with you. It´s like your relationship song.
Before you played the song, you connected your phone with the box and turned up the volume.
You started laughing as Hailee jumps out of her sleep and looked at you with her sleep swollen eyes. As she realized it was just you being annoying she fell back into the comfortable pillow, closed her eyes again and yawned. "Let me sleeeeeep." She begged while you paused the song and sat next to her. You looked at her with raised eyebrows and just placed one of the plates on her stomach. "Happy anniversary, you lazy mouse." Now she was looking at you with raised eyebrows and sat up. "You're annoying, but I love you." Hailee placed her soft lips on yours and kissed you multiple times. "I love you too, now eat your breakfast." You whispered into the small kisses. She giggled and took a look on the plate, which was in her lap. "This looks really good, thank you baby." Hailee cuddled to your side and you both enjoyed the food while talking about some random things. And you must admit the pancakes weren´t as good as they looked but that didn´t matter.
After breakfast, Hailee persuaded you to watch some movies. I mean you couldn´t say no to her puppy eyes, who even could? So now you were here laying in your lovely girlfriend´s arms, snuggling close to her while watching some love films.
.....
Later that day you went for a little walk in the woods. Hand in hand and most importantly without any security people.
Both you and Hailee were never scared of paparazzi making pictures of you kissing or generally being in a not so private relationship. Especially today you didn´t care, and mainly you´ve never wanted to go out with Hailee when a security guard comes with you. No thanks.
One weird but so adorable thing which Hailee always does when you walk side by side is resting her head on your shoulder. And as she exactly did that, you rested your hand on her waist as you made your way back home.
.....
When you got back to the apartment, you and Hailee sat down on the balcony and watched the stars as it was already dark outside.
After ten minutes of absolute silence Hailee breaked it saying "You look so pretty and I love this view." You immediately grinned at her words, noticing that she used the line of your favorite song. Instead of telling her something back you kissed her slowly and gently. You felt her hands approaching your cheeks and deepen the kiss. "You know why I love fall so much?" you suddenly ask. "Why?" She whispered and you could still feel her breath on your lips. "Because I fell in love with you in october." Hailee started giggling which made you smile widely as you were a little child who just got chocolate.
.....
It was already midnight and you and Hailee were still sitting on the little couch you have outside. Both of you cuddled together into a big blancet, your hand going through your girlfriend`s hair, who´s resting her head on your chest, almost falling asleep, just like you. "I think we should go inside, babe." You tell her in your already sleepy voice. She just hummed in response and right then she drifted into a deep sleep. You sighed in defeat and started thinking about how the best way is to carry her to the bed. Just then you took her in bride style into your arms and slowly went to your bedroom where you softly placed her into the bed. You laid down next to Hailee before you also fell asleep.
It was a perfect day to start the month.
..........................................................................................
[This is so short lmao, sorry]
Can't thank you too often for inspiring me etc. @hard-core-super-star <3

Tumblr media
You’re a month into your summer vacation and things couldn’t be more…boring. You love and appreciate your parents dearly for putting out the money so that you could attend a prestigious school in New York with a kick ass archery team but does it ever suck to be this far from all your friends for four months. To make the situation work, your dad had to transfer jobs to another state that pulls in a little more money annually with slightly more affordable housing but that means you aren’t even near the people you grew up around. Rural Mississippi is a fairly big step from living in Boston. Boston at least had people, out here it’s like you’re lucky if you get to meet a neighbour because the land has us all so far apart. In all honesty, although it’s boring, you really have one specific reason for being so bummed out. Towards the end of your last semester, you got started getting closer with one of the girls a year younger on your team, Kate. Typically the older girls competed and practised together and the younger girls did the same. Although you two were only a year apart it’s just how things worked out, so you didn’t cross paths very often. However, one day you were walking home from class, stopped to get coffee and basically bumped into her. The meeting was really brief but it was enough to make you catch feelings almost instantly.
Your interest in her grew as you followed her on Instagram and she followed back. Obviously you took a peak at her page and scrolled to the bottom laughing at the really cringey posts from 2015 she had still up. All you wanted to do was talk to her again but you didn’t know how, although she was a year younger than you she intimidated you so much. Her deep blue eyes were honestly enough to make you stutter whenever you had the chance to talk to her. A month had gone by already and you could not wait to get back to school so you could see her again. Luckily, coach has yearly “team-building” days before the season starts and they’re about half way through the summer so hopefully you can talk to her before then and maybe convince her to hang out when you come back to school.
Over the next week or so you liked a few story posts that she’d upload every now and again but the day finally came where you felt like you could swipe up and respond to it…y’know…maybe spark a little conversation.
“Damn Bishop, is this a new bow?” In response to a story post of her showing off some of her off season training.
“Haha yeah it is, flips out and everything…it's really freakin’ cool.” She replied almost instantly and that made a giant warm smile come across your face.
Shit– what do you say back? Your main goal was honestly to keep the convo going so you could subtly mention down the line hanging out with her.
“Yeah that’s sick, wow I’d kill to try something like that out.”
“Well next time I see you, please by all means give it a shot” She replies back.
“Might just have to take you up on that. How’s your summer going anyways?”
“It’s alright, kind of boring though. All my friends from school move back home and I am working for my mom’s company over the summer so it all is just kind of dull. I miss going out and having fun. Wbu?”
“Yeah, I hear that. I am SO bored here. I would kill to fast forward to the fall, I miss being at school honestly. There’s only so much I can do by myself here during the summer.”
“Ugh right! I want it to be school again too but don’t get me wrong, I love the summer, the weather is great here recently and the nightlife is amazing too. I just have nobody to go with, you know.”
“Yeah I get it. Trust me, if I could be there to go out with you I would, there is definitely no nightlife here haha.”
Shit. That wasn’t too forward was it? She is taking a while to respond to you. She hasn’t even opened the message yet.
*4 minutes later*
“Well, you’re going to be around for that team-building thing coach has us doing in a couple of weeks right?”
“Yeah, I should be.”
“Well, we can go out then if you want? Me and a few friends had plans but they’re all on the team and I’m sure they’d love to have you there too.”
“Yeah, that sounds great I’d love to!”
The conversation pretty much ended there and your contact with her was fairly limited, just a small comment here or there until you finally got to fly back to school for summer training. You settle back into the apartment you left a couple months ago, everything is still a mess where you left it but the kitchen and living room are even filthier since you are not around to clean up much after your roommates. You decided to wait until your team practice to talk to Kate about hanging out again. You didn’t want to come on too strong but also a small part of you feels like she forgot what she said months ago and you won’t end up seeing her, not outside of team stuff at least.
You grabbed your gear and headed to the field where practice was being held. You saw some of your friends from last year and decided to catch up with them before coach pulled you all in to start practice. You were trying your best not to make it obvious but your eyes were tracking all around you looking for Kate but she was nowhere to be seen.
*Whistle* “Okay team! Let’s bring it in. First, I just want to say thank you to everyone for making the effort to come back to campus for this, meeting I–”
“SORRY SORRY SORRY!” You hear the coach interrupted as footsteps are fast approaching the circle of archers.
“Hi Kate.” Says coach.
“I am SO sorry. My driver was running late and then there was traffic because of a giant accident, I think there was some battle in the streets again, I don’t know, either way, my bad coach, won’t happen again…I promise.” She says with the most adorable grin that is absolutely saying she will be late again.
“It’s alright Kate, it happens, I was just telling the team how thankful I am that everyone could make the trip back to campus for this.” Coach went on to talk about the drills you were doing for the day and man was it hard to not be in awe watching her. You tried your best not to stare all day because the last thing you wanted to do was make it obvious but fuck it felt impossible. The day came to an end and you packed up your gear, Kate was talking with the other seniors on the team as they were gathering their things and started to head out. You could feel your window closing to talk to her but interrupting her conversation with her friends and “inviting” yourself out with them just felt too weird and uncomfortable. If it wasn’t meant to be then it wasn’t meant to be but you would kill to be able to just spend an hour with her.
You watched as she started to walk away towards the parking lot with her friends when all of a sudden she motioned for them to hold on a minute and she turned around and jogged over to you.
“Hey y/n! Sorry we didn’t get to catch up much during practice, I saw your shooting though it’s looking good.”
Yeah…your face is bright red. Control your shit.
“Anyways, me and a couple friends are going out later tonight to a party that one of their friends is hosting. It’s like a Hawaiian beach summer nights themed type of party so if you have something like that to wear, that would be great.”
“Yeah, I might have something, I’ll take a look when I get home.”
“Cool! I’ll text you the address once I get it off my friend and I’ll see you there?”
“Yeah, sounds good!”
“Here, why don’t you put your number into my phone, I don’t like using DM’s that much.”
You take Kate’s phone out of her hand and fill out a contact for yourself, praying that she can’t hear your heart beating out of your chest.
“Cool, thanks, I’ll send you a text in a bit.” She says with a smile and then runs off to re-join her friends.
It seems silly sitting by your phone and literally watching the minutes tick by waiting for her to text you but that’s all  you could do. The anticipation felt like it was killing you.
Your phone finally buzzed with a mystery number attached, “Hey y/n! It’s Kate. So…slight change of plans.”
Fuck. Is she bailing? Your eyes were glued on the three dots as she typed and you watched as they disappeared and reappeared.
“Turns out the party is actually around the corner from my place so if you wanted to just come here first, we could pre-game and shit and then walk over together? My friends said they were going out to get their hair done so they’ll be running late.”
“Hey Kate, yeah no problem that works for me just send me your address and lmk what time you want me there.”
Kate dropped a pin of her location to you with the text attached telling you to come over at 7pm.
7pm rolled around and you were already there outside but you kind of felt like you should wait another minute or two so you weren’t RIGHT on time. Or is it weird to be a minute late? But wouldn’t being on time be weirder? Whatever, you decided to just wait a minute and then knock on her door.
Knocking on her door was the most nerve wracking thing you ever did, you were genuinely shitting bricks.
“HEY! Come in come in!” Kate eagerly yells at you as she swings the door open. She’s wearing shorts with a bright purple bikini top and a button down Hawaiian shirt over top that doesn’t have a single button done up. Are you starring? Yes. Probably? Absolutely you are.
“Make yourself at home, feel free to grab a drink from the fridge, my roommates are out of town and left all their alcohol so help yourself.” She said with a laugh.
You heard that right? Her roommates are out of town. Just the two of you…you never know.
You grabbed a drink from the fridge and took a seat on the couch next to her and yeah…the drink started going down faster than usual because of all the nerves in your stomach. The two of you made small talk for awhile but the conversation started flowing a little more naturally about 2 drinks in. Were you still kind of awkward as hell? Yeah…a little. But at least you warmed up to her a bit and weren’t acting so weird. About an hour later, her friends showed up and grabbed you guys to head over to the party. Honestly, things were going so well with just the two of you that you didn’t even want to go to this party but if it meant you got to spend more time with her then there you were. You got to the party and you honestly knew practically nobody. You weren’t exactly a social butterfly but Kate clearly was. She was talking to EVERYBODY. The boys at the party especially loved her. There was lots of laughing and flirting going on, you could feel the jealousy building but acting out was definitely not an option. You ended up socialising with a few of the other people at the party but for most of the night you stuck by Kate’s side, the two of you got pretty drunk together, pouring shots for one another and dancing in the pit of people to extremely loud music. There was a point where it felt like it was just you and her and nobody else was there while the music was blasting into your ears and the two of you were jumping together to the beat and singing out the lyrics to whatever song was on at the time. Kate got really close to you until some guy would come and pull her away in an attempt to make a move on her. Although, it never actually happened. Kate always ended up finding her way back to you. At one point she grabbed your hand and pulled you into the middle of the crowd as the two of you sang (screamed) the lyrics to “love story” into each other's faces. The party, as all do, started to simmer down. You guys actually ended up being some of the last people at the party, you stuck around to the point where the music was gone and most people were just sitting around chatting halfway sober.
“Hey, I think I’m going to go home, I am super tired right now.” Kate says to you.
“Okay, I’ll walk with you, I left my bag at your place anyways so I have to grab it.”
“Right, sounds good.”
Although the two of you had been singing and dancing for hours, she looked just as perfect as when you left and you were trying your hardest not to stare at her while the two of you were walking side-by-side.
The walk back to her place was pretty quick, when the two of you got inside you went to grab your bag and get your things together. You were desperately trying to figure out what to say to her while you were organising your stuff. You didn’t want to come on too strong but you also want to make sure that she knows you had a good time…I guess just tell her exactly that?
“I had a really good time tonight, thanks again for inviting me.” You say as you’re leaning against the wall in her hallway.
“Of course, anytime. And I did too. We should really hang out more when we come back to school.” She replies.
Kate walks towards you and stops about a foot away leaning up against the doorframe to her bedroom. The hallway is super narrow and all you can think about is pinning her against the wall while you kiss down her neck and pull her tight by her waist.
“Yeah I think so too. I guess I should probably head out.” You say as she looks at you with the softest eyes that you swore said “please stay”. You lingered for a second longer as the two of you were looking at each other, tired, kind of tipsy and on the verge of ripping each other's clothing off. All you wanted was for her to actually ask you to stay a little longer but before she had the chance you were already walking towards the door.
“Have a good night y/n.” She says. “Text me when you get home safe.”
“I will. Sleep well Kate.” You reply as you turn to look at her with a smile and step out the front door.
That goodbye felt different. It felt like there were still feelings in the air and lots that wanted to be said that wasn't. It felt like the perfect opportunity with nobody around after an amazing night together has passed but you regret none of it. Although you weren’t able to get a confirmation on whether or not Kate even likes women like you do, you knew there was definitely a type of tension between the two of you that she definitely noticed.

Y/n: Alright. Looks like two more presents left.
You pulled one out from under the tree and handed it to Kate. She opened it to see a pair of purple sunglasses and put them on.
Kate: How do I look?
Y/n: You look beautiful, Katie.
She smiles and kisses your cheek before handing you the last present from her. You unwrap it and find a green archer hat. You put it on and look in a mirror.
Kate: Looking good, Robin Hood.
Y/n: Nice. Grills is going to be jealous.
Kate: Merry Christmas, babe.
Y/n: Merry Christmas, Katie.

Waking up to the sun shining on her face through the gap between the curtains, Hailee blinks her eyes awake. Reaching for her phone on the nightstand, she checks the time. Waking up earlier than usual, she cuddled back into bed, turning around and reaching out, only to feel empty sheets.
Confused, she lifts her head up, looking around the room, realizing she’s alone. Seeing as she couldn’t fall back asleep, she gets out of bed, stretching, and walking into her shared closet to get dressed. Deciding on a graphic tee and some black sweats, she goes on her way to the kitchen.
On her way to the kitchen, she sees you sitting on the sofa with your coffee, scrolling through whatever on your phone. She goes up to you.
“Good morning.” She says, giving your head a kiss.
“Morning hun.”
As Hailee was making her coffee, she hears you watching something on your phone. The thing is, it sound like the same sound on loop.
“What are you watching.”
You freeze.
You were caught.
Think of something. You said in your head.
“Nothing.”
“Really?”
Hailee grabs her cup of coffee and leans against the kitchen island. You start recording her discreetly, but being someone who was used to cameras being pointed at her anytime, anywhere, she knows, but doesn’t pay any mind.
“I heard the sound looping. Are you on TikTok?”
“Fine. Yes. You know I’m addicted to it.”
“What are you watching.”
“A video.”
“Of what?” She asks, raising an eyebrow
Fuck, you’re so hot.
“Thank you. You’re pretty hot yourself.”
“I said that out loud? Damn. At least I wasn’t lying.” You stop recording, but call Hailee over.
“Now you wanna show me what you watching?” You cuddle into her once she’s settles next to you.
“Yeah, you got some thirsty fans, me included. I need more boyfriend Hailee in my life.”
“Boyfriend Hailee?”
“You’re telling me you don’t know what that is?”
“No, what’s that?”
“Just you with your less feminine days looking sexy as fuck doing absolutely nothing.”
