I’ve always loved Disney Channel original movies 🫶🏼 Even those who came after everyone my age stopped watching them. I kept watching them. I always find something meaningful in every Disney Channel movie, even if it’s something small. And Teen Beach Movie 2 wasn’t the exception. I watched it when I was 16 and I enjoyed it so much The songs are soooo goood! 💗 But what I enjoyed the most was Lela’s story 🥰 So I made this zine in honor of her character 👑 Lela, Queen of the Beach 🌊

Soap x fem!reader

character: John "Soap" MacTavish x fem!reader

sinopsis: at a surprise birthday party your brother Kyle invited you to, as a way of "socializing", you didn't expect to fall in love with the birthday boy.

"Seriously, Kyle?" you asked, slightly annoyed with the situation your in. Your brother thought that asking you to go to a "stranger's" birthday would be great for your social circle, which was quite small. An even though you don't know the birthday boy, Gaz has talked about him sometimes, you laughed when you heard they called him "Soap", he sounded like a nice person, but birthdays aren't really your thing.

Your brother has already told him about you too, he loves to make fun of you for being single, but he helps if you're interested in someone!! He thinks you and Soap would get along and make a great couple, but you've never shown much interest.

G: "C'mon, it'll be fun!! but don't drop it" he told you, handing the big cake into your hands. "Now we just have to wait for him"

Everyone was quiet, until Soap's eyes were opened and his ears were greeted with a loud "Happy birthday" from everyone in the room. He smiled, looking at the cake in your hands, then his eyes met yours, and oh my, his eyes gave you butterflies all over your body.

Your hands were sweaty, you didn't know if it was because you were nervous about dropping the cake or if you were anxious about the amount of people around you. But before you could hand the cake to someone else, someone opened the door, it was captain Price, covering Soap's eyes as they entered the house.

"Happy birthday" you said softly, handing the cake towards him.

The small party in his house was good, it was only for friends and people close to Soap, but you couldn't wait to go home. With a drink in your hand, you looked away from Soap constantly, trying not to stare too much, but your brother and some masked friend of his noticed this, since they caught his attention and discreetly pointed at you. And as soon as he looked at you, you looked away again, not wanting to draw his attention.

S: "Thank you" he nods, taking the cake to a nearby table so he could greet everyone.

After a few minutes of "socializing" with other friends of your brother, you felt someone holding your waist from behind, so you turned your back to see what was happening.

S: "My apologies, your brother said you were ok with this." he said, removing his slightly heavy hand from your waist.

"Oh, yeah" you nodded, looking over at Gaz just to see him laughing his ass off with the skull masked person beside him.

"Shouldn't I call you "Soap"?" you replied, letting out a laugh.

S: "Well, i'm John!! it's nice to finally meet you" he shakes your hand, smiling

S: "Did your brother tell you that?" Soap sighs, shaking his head.

"Don't worry, i believe it's adorable" you affirm

Your conversation lasted for a few minutes, until someone called him to take photos, which left you alone in your corner again, until your brother arrived at your side.

S: "oh really?"

"first of all, fuck you.". "second of all, his hair is not weird" you gave Gaz a little tug on the ear as he laughed.

G: "i didn't knew you were into people with strange hair" he looked at Soap from afar, sipping his drink.

"Don't even think about it, I'm already going home"

G: "I can set him up for you, he's also single"

G: "No you're not, i'll tie you up if I need to."

"Haha, very funny." You say, grabbing your bag. "I'll see you at home, ok?"

G: "your boring, but ok"

As you were walking towards the exit, your thoughts kept going inside your head, thinking that maybe you should go back and say goodbye to Soap, you're in his house after all, but you're just too shy to even consider it truthfully. As soon as you reach the doorknob, you hear someone shout for you to wait, and when you turn around, you can see Soap walking towards you.

S: "Going home already??" he asks, with a disappointed but upset look

"I'm so sorry, I wish I could stay any longer but-"

S: “Won’t you dance with me before you go?" your answer was cut off by his question, and you blushed completely as his hand stopped on your hip, half-locked in place as you stared at him with a hopeful look.

Gosh, you could take a picture of his smile and hang it on your bedroom wall. Your social battery was almost over, but the happy look in his eyes when he saw that you were actually considering it made your energy come back completely, as if his smile was contagious.

"Really?"

S: "of course!!" He smiled brightly

Your brother and Soap stayed by your side for the rest of the party because he noticed your social discomfort, little did he know that it was all just shyness, little did he know that you were shy because of him. From what your brother said, you thought Soap would be just another one of his friends that you'd met and forget about in a week, but he was completely memorable, you tend to be interested in people with good looks, and if the personality is good it's even better, and he had both, not to mention his smile, which managed to leave you completely mesmerized. "Am I falling for him?" you thought to yourself, and let me answer, absolutely yes.
