El cuarto episodio titulado “Me aboco a mi muerte”, inicia con Percy (Azriel Dalman) y su madre, Sally (Virginia Kull), en una clase de natación, en lo que parecía ser un recuerdo, pero que al final resulto ser una pesadilla.

Nota: Desde el inicio de la serie hasta ahora, todas las pesadillas que ha tenido Percy, muestran a la misma entidad misteriosa, la cual de una u otra forma le presagia lo que está por venir.

Después, vemos a Percy (Walker Scobell), Annabeth (Leah Jeffries) y Grover (Aryan Simhadri) acostados en un vagón, en esta escena se revela el origen de los descendientes de la Diosa Atenea, los cuales surgen como un pensamiento en su mente y después son obsequiados a un compañero con el que entablo una conexión. Además, Annabeth revela que sus primeros años de vida fueron felices, siendo tratada como un obsequio por su padre, quien la amaba. Sin embargo, las cosas tomaron un giro amargo cuando su padre formó una nueva familia, marcando el inicio de conflictos familiares que la llevaron a huir cuando solo tenía 7 años.

Al día siguiente, el trío presencia una manada de centauros y se explica cómo el daño ambiental causado por los humanos afecta a los seres mitológicos, especialmente a los sátiros, cuya conexión con la naturaleza es esencial. Grover también narra la historia del Dios de lo Salvaje, Pan, cuya desaparición ha llevado al deterioro del mundo natural. Más tarde, Equidna (Suzanne Cryer), la madre de todos los monstruos, y Quimera, un monstruo híbrido, emergen como los antagonistas atacando a nuestros héroes y forzándolos a escapar hasta llegar al Arco Gateway de San Luis en Misuri, el cual es un Santuario/Templo Ateniense.

Tras enfrentarse a la Quimera y realizar un acto heroico para proporcionar a sus compañeros, Annabeth y Grover, la oportunidad de escapar, Percy es arrojado desde el punto más alto del monumento, enfrentándose a una caída mortal; sin embargo, es rescatado por su padre, Poseidón. El episodio, de 34 minutos de duración, concluye con Percy, en el fondo del Río Misisipi, acompañado de una mensajera de Poseidón, quien le comunica que su padre siempre ha estado presente y orgulloso de él.

Oh Cass! 💔

The Cop Idol Storyline/Cass' murder was one of those rare PM storylines that was properly paced and shocking - not least given the time of the year (Christmas) and the light hearted fun of the Cop Idol/Christmas party in contrast with Cass' kidnap attack, the girls getting annoyed at Cass for not turning up and what was actually happening to her at time. Poor Cass being tied up, literally waiting and even begging to know why she was going to die. Poor poor girl 😭😭 (Could have done without even more of the Carl/Craig/Luke/Kerry rubbish during it though!)
