So for my wedding in November, I had a Godzilla and flower themed wedding. I had initially planned art for 14 tables but a) ended up only needing 10 and b) was running out of time coloring.
I've been posting the color pieces but these are the remaining uncolored pencils.
Table #8 - Megalon and Borage - This piece I was able to clean up the pencils. It's actually one of the better dynamic poses for a kaiju I had a hard time drawing.
Table #10 - Space Godzilla and Lady Slippers - Another piece I was able to clean the pencils on. Just like Space Godzilla, Lady Slippers are hard to draw.
Table #13 - King Kong and Magnolias - This was a planned back up table art as I didn't think I would go beyond 12 tables. The pencils are still rough as a result.
Table #14 - Gamera and Lilac - I was going to do a children's table with stuff for kids to do. Gamera seemed appropriate for that. Luckily I didn't follow through with the idea because only my niece and older nephew came. So the pencils remain rough on this.

I’ve been on and off reading “Where the Mountain Meets the Moon” by Grace Lin, but I’m honestly in love with this story and how the author tells the story. I’m so happy young readers have books like this.

ONI GODZILLA vs FALSE GOD GHIDORAH Finally! I've been working on this for months and now i managed to get it finished I hope y'all like it! This 'False God' King Ghidorah is meant to look like an immortal graceful Phoenix soaring the skies but up close you can see their true nature, full of fangs and ill intent Always coming back from the ashes to fight Godzilla once again Originally it was named Oni Ghidorah But I don't feel like that name fits at all, curved big tusks is not enough, and since i've been meaning to make a phoenix ghidorah I took this chance It's a very flamboyant design, with war-banner like wings, bird and snake features alike Oni Godzilla got some new changes, still the same base design from years back, but this time i added some wilderness to it, to really put the Oni in him His tail is a mace, and is now rocking some type of gold animal print on the arms

Random Hatchetfield headcanons in no particular order.
In honor of Cinderella's Castle being fully funded, have my silly little thoughts about Hatchetfield and it's residents (A few of these I yoinked from Tumblr so they're mine now :3)
Richie and Pete are both autistic. Grace is too but she has lower functioning autism.
Pete’s special interest is horror movies/special effects. Grace and Richie's special interests are…pretty obvious. But Richie also loves Godzilla and Grace loves the supernatural.
Jon Matteson said that Paul might be autistic, so I take that as canon. On top of that he has undiagnosed depression and anxiety.
Paul has two siblings. One being Gary, his little brother. And his older sister, who he lives with, who is actually Richie's mother. Richie's father died when he was very young so Paul stepped up to help his sister and nephew financially, and he’s the closest thing Richie has to a father figure.
For someone who used to tell Gary and his sister that he'd never have kids, Paul adores Richie and tries his absolute best to be the father he never had.
Boy Jerry is Paul and Gary’s cousin.
Ruth and Richie probably met when they were really young & both were lonely & in need of a friend. Like walking up on the playground “you wanna be friends?” “Yeah!” type of deal.
Paul and Charlotte were friends in middle school-high school.
Gary decorates his house like a suburban white mom, those rustic white letters in the kitchen, everything labeled in slightly stretched text, that type of thing.
In the proshot for NPMD, Ms. Chasity uses the correct pronouns for Ziggy. So I headcanon that The Chasity family, despite being hardcore christians, respect the LGBTQ community.
The most lethal weapon in all of Hatchetfield is Grace Chasity’s puppy dog eyes.
Charlotte’s sweater was a birthday gift from Ted. He made her swear not to tell anyone it came from him. He has a reputation, y’know?
Paul uses his phone like a grandma, he puts on the glasses to read and everything.
Gary knows how to play the piano.
Ted loves Steph and treats her like his sister. He's so proud of Peter for not only pulling one of the most popular girls in school, but that same girl is helping him with his self image and confidence.
Charlotte does yarn crafts (like knitting and crochet and cross stitch and shit) to get her anger out because stabby stabby.
Barry Swift is fully, completely, absolutely, 100% gay and in denial about it. Also he and Gary are childhood friends (to feed the Attorney in a hurry fans).
The people who went to Sycamore are, in no particular order; Paul Matthews, Charlotte Sweetly, Sam Sweetly, Gary Goldstein, Barry Swift, Karen & Mark Chasity, Dan Reynolds, Nora Beanie, and Melissa Nolastname.
Grace is the type of girl who says she hates drama and gossip but she knows all the drama at Hatchetfield High.
Like Paul, Gary is also autistic.
Paul drives Richie, Steph, Pete, Grace and Ruth everywhere. Paul likes all of Richie's friends even if they're a little weird (he finds Grace a little obnoxious though but he's not gonna say it)
Steph says Paul’s aesthetic is “Cardboardcore”
Pete is just the most attentive and perceptive partner ever. In every sense of the words. He picks up on every little detail. Steph had a bad day? Pete instantly knows how to cheer her up. Steph is excited about something and needs to talk about it? Hey babe what’s up tell me all about it. Pete’s the type to start keeping snacks on hand because he knows Steph’s internal clock and that she always forgets to eat and then gets hangry after a few hours.
When Stephanie is exhausted she literally makes no sense, she babbles the most nonsensical bullshit.
Barry Swift has ADHD and OCD.
Gary wears those blue pinstripe pajamas. With the lil hat too.
Paul has the most unorganized and dirty room for some reason, like he never even bothered decorating it.
Sam and Charlotte were high school sweethearts and kinda rushed into marriage soon after graduating.
Gary wanted to buy a Wiggly doll for Richie.
Steph’s ripped jeans had small holes in them when she bought them and her dad made fun of her for buying something already broken so she made the holes bigger out of spite.
Grace has asked Steph, Pete, Richie and Ruth at least 3 times if they would still love her if she was a worm.
Gary unironically refers to Facebook as "the book of faces”

Kaiju Week in Review (November 26-December 2, 2023)
Tumblr media
I wasn't over the moon when Toho announced that Takashi Yamazaki's Blockbuster Monster Movie was in fact the next Godzilla film. I had seen a few of his works—none bad, but none spectacular either. Well, I've set my sights on watching the rest in the new year, because Godzilla Minus One is an unqualified masterpiece. A tagline from the original Godzilla, King of the Monsters! comes to mind (as it often does when you're me): "Mightiest melodrama of them all!" A lot of the post-Showa films suffer from an abundance of characters who just spout exposition and look at monitors; here, almost everyone in the small cast gets at least one close encounter with Godzilla, and the monster's backstory is conveyed with extreme efficiency. This tale of a war veteran trying to rebuild his life in the ruins of Tokyo, stumbling into a family, finding fulfillment in blowing up leftover mines, and haunted by what he perceives as his cowardice in combat, would have been plenty compelling without Godzilla.
Since it does have Godzilla, it's high on my list of the best movies of the year, and I only need one viewing to call it one of the best installments in the almost-70-year-old series. Yamazaki patiently waited some 15 years after Always: Sunset on Third Street 2 for his shot at a Godzilla feature. You certainly get the sense, watching one of the most brutal, pissed-off incarnations of the monster ever to grace the screen, that he spent every day of it in preparation. Watch it often while it's still in theaters, and watch it big.
Tumblr media
Godzilla Minus One will gross about $10 million in its U.S. opening "weekend", a third-place finish that beat expectations. For context, Godzilla 2000, the last Toho Godzilla film to receive a wide release here, made about $10 million during its entire theatrical run here. Ticket prices were cheaper then, of course, and Minus One was helped along further by almost half of attendees going to premium-format screenings. Conversely, it had to overcome Americans' subtitle phobia, and the first weekend of December is usually a slow one. I was pessimistic at the outset, but now I expect larger theaters to carry the film into the new year, especially with near-universal raves from critics and audiences.
Tumblr media
Yes, a third section for Godzilla Minus One; it's well-deserved, I promise. MyKaiju is risking life and limb by hosting an English translation of the film's novelization, written by Takashi Yamazaki himself. It appears to be at least partially machine-translated, but the Japanese text is included for comparison. Haven't read it yet, as I want to see the film a second time first, but quite a breakthrough given how mysterious this sort of thing usually is.
Tumblr media
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters could never hope to compare with the opening of a stellar new Godzilla film; unfortunately, I also thought this week's episode was the weakest so far. It's bookended by Frost-Vark action, but the rest just drags. All's forgiven if the teacher and the hacker smooch though.
Tumblr media
Toho and Legendary used to let each other's live-action Godzilla movies breathe; now the U.S. opening weekend of one is coinciding with the opening marketing push of the other. IGN released a trio of pics from Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, showing Kong with his axe; Dr. Andrews, Jia, and Trapper (Dan Stevens's character) in uniform; and Godzilla "evolving into a powerful new form." The same article included an interview with director Adam Wingard. Naturally, he didn't give away much... besides the return of Doug.
Earlier in the week, Legendary put out a trio of posters featuring Godzilla, Kong, and the film's antagonist, now christened Skar King. The taglines ("Unite" for our heroes, "Bow to Your King" for SK) sound like kaiju campaign slogans. Makes me wonder if, like Godzilla vs. Megalon before it, the movie will improbably capitalize on the presidential election next year. To steal a joke from Titanollante: Godzilla/Kong unity ticket? They'd have my vote.
Godzilla's new form, meanwhile, has already been spoiled by a T-shirt on Legendary's own site and some dire-looking Playmates figures. It makes sense that Wingard would want to have his own spin on the character after keeping the design from Godzilla: King of the Monsters for Godzilla vs. Kong. Hard to cast judgment without seeing the real design in full, but there's one particular detail I really like.
The film also has a booth at CCXP in Brazil, with a panel later today, so I think a trailer is incoming (the main reason I hammered out this whole post so quickly).
Tumblr media
I missed this one last week: Tsuburaya announced an anime project called Ultraman: DARKNESS HEELS. The DARKNESS HEELS branding has been around for a while, spotlighting prominent evil Ultras—and, of course, Jugglus Juggler. No details on the anime yet, but if the Juggleman's there, so am I.
Tumblr media
The big toy reveal this weekend was Super7's ULTIMATES! MaiGoji figure. Previous Godzilla figures from this line haven't lived up to the official photos, but hope springs eternal. It's $85 (much less than the MonsterArts); preorders started Friday. Other highlights: a Super7 ReAction figure of the original Godzilla's skeleton, which comes with a little Oxygen Destroyer, and a plush Mothra from Surreal Entertainment that can flip to imago form to a neck pillow-shaped larva.

Oikawa leans his head against the wall against which the bathtub is recessed. The golden rays of the afternoon sun cascading through the open window above him, spilling across the bluish tiles of the room, turning them into shimmering mirrors that reflect the dance of light, transforming the bathroom almost into a sanctuary. With his long legs dangling over the edge, Oikawa gently swings them as he hums, his eyes fixed on the ceiling.
He thinks about how long it will take to forget the patterns that decorate it.
Then, the tranquillity is interrupted by the sound of wet footsteps approaching, accompanied by the gentle spill of water from the tub as another body joins him. Oikawa smiles and looks down as a darker, more pronounced leg, submerged up to the knee, rests on his thigh. He likes the contrast of their skins, the warmth they share each time they connect.
"And you have the audacity to complain about me when I take too long to rinse" He playfully taunts, lifting his gaze to meet Iwaizumi's. He too leans against the wall, his head tilted towards him, a soft smile gracing his lips.
Hajime has always been handsome. But now, with damp hair falling over his forehead like when he was a kid, cheeks kissed by the warmth of the bath and August sun and emerald green eyes sweetened by sunlight, he is ethereal.
Tooru thinks about how long it will take before he misses Iwa-chan's gaze.
"Do you forget that you came in ten minutes before me?" He gently taps Oikawa’s knee with his and Oikawa rolls his eyes amusedly.
"Details, Iwa-chan."
And silence opens up between them, soft and comfortable. Oikawa hums again, taking Iwaizumi's hand as he gently places it on his thigh, palm up. Tooru's smile widens as he slowly intertwines their fingers, fascinated by the way they fit together.
Oikawa thinks about how long it will take to forget the warmth of Iwa-chan's skin.
They stay like that a little longer, listening to the echo of birds in the distance and the trickle of water. Years ago, when they were so small that the bathtub looked like a swimming pool, the silences had been filled by childish laughter between the "Oh, no, Hajime-chan, Zilla-chan sinking, Alien-chan to the rescue!", "Code 1-4, flying saucer sunk!", "Put the bang-bang down, Hajime-chan, I have a rubber duck and I'm not afraid to use it!" and the "Water volleyball bomb, everyone take cover, Tooru!", "Ha, a duck is no match for my water bang-bang!", "No, Tooru, watch out for the Aliens, they're the traitors!", by brute splashes of water that tried to simulate tsunamis, by the volleyball hitting the tiles, by the shrill quack, quack of the rubber ducks.
And it’s fine, because now they know how to control the volleyball as an extension of themselves, the rubber duckies are safe with Takeru and Godzilla is safe too from the water on Hajime's shelf next to the toy aliens. But there are moments when Tooru would give his soul not to grow up, to halt the march of time.
Because sometimes it is not easy. Because it’s frightening to be an adult. Because it's scary to know that the weight of responsibility now rests squarely on your shoulders, and that future you thought was unreachable is already there, about to collide with your present.
Oikawa thinks about how long it will take him to get used to Argentina without his parents, without his sister, without his nephew, without his Hajime.
"Do you... Do you think we can handle this?" He whispers, too weak for his liking.
Two days left until Hajime flies to California. Four for Tooru to fly to Argentina.
Oikawa thinks about how long it will take for his heart to break, whether it will be when Hajime leaves or when he does.
Iwaizumi doesn't respond immediately, but instead, he tenderly squeezes their clasped hands and lets out a sigh. Though they've broached this topic countless times before, the lingering fear still hovers, a constant presence breathing down their necks with a cold breath.
"Yes" He says, with no trace of doubt in his voice, like all the other times. But this time, he keeps talking, his words serving as a balm to Oikawa's trembling heart. "Because it's you and me. I can't promise eternity, for none can foresee the future," he turns his head and Tooru takes a deep breath before doing the same and meeting his gaze, intense, warm and full of serenity " but I can vow to give you my all, as I have for eighteen years."
There's an earnestness, an honesty, a steadfastness in his words that causes Oikawa's smile to bloom once more, genuine and tender, his eyes shimmering with emotion, cheeks mirroring the flush of Iwaizumi's own.
Oikawa thinks about how long he will stop loving him and immediately knows the answer: never.
"If you take more than two months to visit me once I've settled in Argentina, I'll consider it infidelity and report you to your mom" He says, but there's no warmth behind his words and Hajime's deep laughter rumbles in the bathroom.
"You're really insufferable"
Tooru playfully sticks out his tongue before leaning in to finally meet his lips, yielding to the tender pressure of Iwaizumi's soft, full lips before he laughs softly against them as a large, reassuring hand envelops his waist with eager impatience.
...
hope u enjoyed this!!

Ok, it's been a week since it came out, so I think it's safe to talk about the big spoiler character in Godzilla X Kong. You know, that radiant figure of light and grace, whose presence we've missed from film for far too long since their last glowing appearance on the silver screen. The joy on my face when I saw that symbol of hope and resurrection return to the big screen, that monster with a capital M I love so much.
Yes, gang, it was wonderful to see Muncher on the screen once more, right alongside Godzilla and Kong.

Animal crossing new horizons headcanons for the nerd bunch
Steph
- normcore I think that's what people call it but it's basically just like. a normal town with no specific style. but her house is decorated to her liking and she has her villager's home in a forest she planted herself. she also has mods and she has just a part near the top of her island where there's just a shit ton of bells just dropped on the floor.
-steph definitely gives me black tulip door wreath vibes.
-steph's favorite villager is cherry and she changed cherry's catchphrase to 'bitch' so now she says stuff like "Yeah, go for it, bitch. This oughta be good…’
-steph has a room in her house purely for 'summonings' after she found out if you combine a specific wall and flooring you can create a summoning circle.
-steph refuses to pay tom nook, so her house isn't upgraded that much.
-steph set up a small space in her island for the nerds to fool around in whenever they visited. that space now mostly consists of pit falls and stumps. someone also left a switch there and steph didn't even try to figure out who put it there and just kept it as decor for her house. also Steph has green mums outside her house which she says is supposed to be a weed farm.
Grace
-grace definitely has meticulously designed her island and it's fairycore. rip star fragment trees grace would have loved those. her island has a shit ton of pink tulips everywhere too. grace has a part of her island which is just a forest with a lot of flowers. she also has those like custom design paintings in said forest that read 'god is good' or some shit and she thinks every island should have a god forest.
-grace has the pink wedding event door thingy.
-grace has two tricycles she put outside of nook's cranny that she pretends belong to timmy and tommy
-favorite villager is ruby sorry
-grace loves the wedding event items and her island and house are full of them
Ruth
-her island is a mess to me lmao. her island tune is the iconic part in careless whisper and tiffany is her favorite villager. none of her island is actually decorated btw. and she constantly wears one of those custom design dresses that make it look like the villager has a bikini. ruth collects gyroids after she was taught how to get them by Richie. she just collects the little guys and has them outside her airport as a welcome thingy. ruth uses the effects feature a lot, mainly putting hearts on stuff. only decorating Ruth really did on her island is make a rainbow flower field which she and the rest of the nerds call the gay flower trail. ruth seems to be eternally broke. Richie offers her money and she accepts and ten minutes later she somehow managed to waste it all on the most useless decor
Richie
-his island is littered with references to animes. he has two godzilla statues outside his house. has definitely gotten much more advancements than the others. wishes he could have started out on a modded island but it's too late. his house is made to be his dream home and his room has custom designs of anime posters on the walls. he completed his museum and probably has most furniture items in his catalog. he also completed happy home designer and has a lot of amiibos. richie redecorated all of his villager's homes, both interior and exterior. richie made a crab rave on his beach. richie also collects gyroids and uses them to decorate. he also likes setting up little songs with them for specific rooms in his house.
richie's island flag is this.
Tumblr media
Pete
-somehow the one with the best looking island. it's five stars somehow and each villager gets custom personalized yards. pete is really into flower breeding. he's also trying to complete the museum but keeps forgetting to catch some seasonal creatures and fish. pete NEVER skips blather's fun facts. in fact he writes all of them down and annoys Ruth and Richie with them. he's even memorized some for the more common fish and bugs that especially pissed Richie off when he was collecting everything (like sea basses)
petes house has the highest happy home academy rating

Just got out of my first viewing (spoilers so tag accordingly)
Yeah that was the most ridiculous shit ive ever seen and i had a blast lmfao.
--
To get the few negatives out of the way: Syclla and Tiamat got COOKED. That's crazy. Especially Tiamat. I had no idea she was in the movie and like choked on popcorn when they said her name. First onscreen appearance and she dies in like 3 seconds... sucks to be her. But honestly... this is probably one of those moments where Fan Content messes with the perception of a canon thing, at least for me. It hurts a lot more because of the emotional attachment from stuff like Ozymandias's story, Shamhat, and other adjacent stuff. If I had never seen those and watched her die I'd probably think "oh she had a cool design, but whatever". But yeah, my only serious complaint is her being shafted and I don't even really think I can call it objective because there was definitely an attachment there.
Ok besides that this might be my new personal favorite Monsterverse. Could be recency bias but I don't think so. Every human is at the very least entertaining. Everything Trapper did in this movie made me crack up, hearing Bernie say the words 'Discord chat' and 'Ghidorahstan64' (i stg this was a callout of some kind) onscreen gave me terminal whiplash, and although Jia and Andrew's story was sorta surface level, it was still endearing. I'd rather have a good human storyline, sure, but if we can't have that I'll settle for entertaining.
Here I thought Suko was gonna be an annoying marketing ploy to sell toys... I physically snorted in the theatre when Kong slammed him into that one ape. MVP of the film lmao. Mothra was... also there. Yeah, it really shows that she was a last minute addition. But DAMN she sent Godzilla ROLLING with a single attack. Speaking of, I don't think the Tia-Zilla form was as underutilized as I've heard people say it was. Especially that new Atomic Breath effect. Holy eargasm.
Oh man though, Shimo and Skar are fantastic. Skar hits the same beat as like a Celestial Dragon or Vladimir Harkonnen with way more grace than I would've expected from a big monkey. They go shockingly dark with his treatment of the ape-slaves and Shimo... especially with that female ape insinuation.
Holy shit poor Shimo, man. I honestly thought the Skar controlling her aspect would be kinda downplayed and just regular mind control, not genuine torture of some kind. I love that they let her have characterization by resisting him at every chance she gets, and that the pain control isn't always active (i'm assuming that's the insinuation of keeping her all chained and behind magma, it depowers and restrains her when Skar's not actively using her), further insinuating she gets merciful breaks from hellish enslavement only to be yanked back into it whenever Skar needs something turned into a popsicle. I think my favorite moment in the film is right after Suko shatters the crystal and the light blue luminescence fades to reveal her actual eyes for the first time. Eyes are used throughout the film to show subtle humanizing features, like Godzilla falling asleep in Rome, Kong's wide eyes when he sees his kin, and shock when Shimo realizes she's free. Having her eyes glowing the whole film makes her seem way more monstrous and inhuman, so when that suddenly goes away she starts getting framed as just an animal. Also her eyes are pretty. Also, I lied, that wasn't my favorite part of the film. My favorite part was Kong giving her chin scratches and that cute half-hug. This needs to be normalized. He needs to hug Godzilla next film. I will pay someone a king's ransom for this to happen. Final little detail, I like that Kong doesn't do his final roar from on her back but standing next to her, on the same level as all the other apes. He doesn't look to elevate himself over her or everyone else like Skar did, which is a great touch.
Also also also: Think it's time for a Doug solo film where he tries to steal all the Titans' food. Make it happen Legendary.
Much agreement here! I'd love for a solo Mothra MonsterVerse film to really capitalize on her lore and give her stuff to do (without dying at the end preferably); maybe establish some connection between the Chen family and Jia. Also, I need a little shot of Mothra going to visit Godzilla while he's sleeping in the Colosseum and just cuddle up to the big lug.
Andrews and Jia were a welcome breath of fresh air after GvK reversed Mark's characterization and Madison became... that. There was still some slight tension between Jia not feeling like she belongs and Andrews wanting to do right by her, even if it means possibly giving her up, only for Jia to go "you're my mom, you're my home, stop being dramatic". You love to see it.
Adding to the Doug solo film idea... Shimo adopts him because he's cute and she thinks his shenanigans are hilarious. Let us have fun wholesome times!

Just uploading all the table art cards from my wedding last November. It was Godzilla and flower themed. I didn't get to do all the table art in color but I had enough for all the tables. I'll post more as the days go on.
Table #10 (#12 in the original order) - Mecha Godzilla and Sunflowers
I had a request to make sure to include Mecha Godzilla so he rounds out the completed table art. And I like sunflowers. I think the drawing came out nice as I'm not great with robots. It's one of the few that I like the weird static pose. I didn't like the new design in the Godzilla vs Kong movie.
The table numbers get a bit wonky because I ran out of time as we got closer and ended up not needing all the art. So I had to pick and chose what I could get done and what I wanted.

All Hail the Princess!!!
Tumblr media
"She who Dances in a Silver of the Night Skies"
"The Angel of Stars"
"Child of Godzilla and Mothra"
"Princess of the Monsters"
"Avatar of the Star Goddess"
Presenting...
Princess Mothra Astra, the daughter of Godzilla and Mothra! Heir to the throne, and the Angel of Stars who foretold that she would one day become the ruler and protector of the Earth.
She is born on the twilight morning of the third day of April, where a single white star aligned above the heavens and the sunrise. She is revealed to be the Star Goddess' avatar, christening her blood and soul to the very beginning of her cycle. Both Godzilla and Mothra vowed to cherish her life and learning to become a protector and guardian at all times.
Until a terrible fate happens to the Princess. She was killed under the wrath of Ghidorah, the One who is Many in the eyes of the King and Queen. After Ghidorah's icy imprisonment, she made her final wish to her parents: she will be buried on the twilight eve from the parts of the island (the Philippines rather) where she will watch them and her people, and her promised about one day, she will be incarnated...
As centuries have passed after her death, the Princess' soul now resides on her human incarnation, Ma. Celestina, who would one day find the true meaning of the past and discovering her self.
AN:
Hello! And welcome to those who read my Godzilla fanfiction titled "Princess of the Monsters"!
The wait is over!
This is Mothra Astra. And this is also how I depicted her in her Titan form: she is a moth like Mothra, but has dorsal plates behind her wings like Godzilla and it acts like a carapace to protect her body from any danger. She also feeds on radiation, well, half of it. Crystals are her main power because of how resourceful and more powerful the Earth's core's radiation was; she can harness it by detecting 'a twinkling sound' and pinpoints it to the area she used to.
She is depicted to have a symbol of a six-pointed star on her forehead, indicating the avatar of the Star Goddess and supposedly rebirth.
Her appearance made her more ethereal and divine like. She is graceful, kind, loving and helpful like Mothra, and stubborn, strong, feisty, and equally powerful like Godzilla. One thing that describes her is her curiousity because of what was beyond the heavens wherein she could see those who died became stars, a belief she shared from her parents.
There are more stories for her to come. And I only posted this short background for her. Thank you all for liking my art! I work tirelessly just to come up with this!
This is now my official OC and Mothzilla fanchild!
@sassyassblog @mossizi @androgynouslovechopshop @magic-thing
Stay tune for the Princess of the Monsters story!

Dan Stevens in an exclusive interview (Google translated)
Hollywood star Dan Stevens can currently be seen in the blockbuster “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” in cinemas. The film is currently topping the box office charts and is number one worldwide. We met the charismatic actor in Los Angeles and talked to him about his current film, his next two projects and his choice of roles.
April 5, 2024 by Grace Maier
Can you share with us your first reaction when you were offered a role in Godzilla x Kong: The new empire? It's always a pleasure to work with the same people several times, but this time it was extra special as Adam Wingard, the director, is an old friend. I was also invited to play with an even older friend, Rebecca Hall, as well as Brian Tyree Henry, who I have known and admired for years. It felt like I was being asked to play with friends.
What was it like entering the universe of these iconic monsters? Did you have any ideas or expectations? It's a fun task to be asked to stretch one's imagination to the size of such cinematic titans! I've worked with CGI on an epic scale before, so it wasn't too foreign, and I was surprised at how many practical locations we had.
How did you prepare for your role in this blockbuster? Were there any unique challenges or exciting moments during filming? It was really exciting to shoot in the Australian outback, in the Daintree rainforest - this incredible ancient jungle. That sense of adventure on the way to work every day, passing crocodiles along the river banks, waiting for pythons to be removed from the set, really fueled the mood for the Hollow Earth walk in the film.
“Godzilla x Kong: The new empire” promises to be an epic clash. Without giving too much away, can you give us a hint as to how your character fits into the plot? Trapper is initially brought in to help Kong with his toothache - he is a vet for all Titan creatures - and is then approached by Rebecca Hall's character, Dr. Andrews, invited to the mission. He's a kind of happy, carefree Han Solo type, good to have around, tirelessly optimistic and impressed by little.
The film contains a lot of CGI and visual effects. What was your experience like acting in such an environment and how did it differ from previous roles? I've worked with this type of thing before so it wasn't too scary. I actually really enjoy working with a VFX team and helping to create something using our entire collective imagination. It's truly incredible to see what they achieve long after you've left the process.
Were you a fan of the Godzilla or Kong films before joining this project? How does it feel to be part of their legacy? I feel like I've known these characters my whole life: they are such an integral part of cinema history. I've loved seeing them in all their different iterations over the years and of course being asked to perform alongside them - and even fix their teeth - is a huge honor!
The film will have some intense action scenes. Can you describe one of your most memorable moments while filming these scenes? While it's not the most intense scene, the way my character is introduced - rappelling from a floating vehicle into Kong's mouth to perform large-scale dental work - was one of the more exciting stunts I had to do!
How do you think fans of the franchise will react to Godzilla x Kong: The new empire? What can they look forward to most? I want them to enjoy the ride! You'll see things you've never seen before and meet some fantastic new creatures and characters, but also maybe some familiar fan favorites...
You also have the film "ABIGAIL" coming out in April. Can you tell us a little about filming and what audiences can expect? This is a completely different kind of thrill! Essentially, it's a vampire ballerina heist movie - you know the kind - directed by the Radio Silence guys, Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, who specialize in a particularly wacky brand of horror-comedy that I love .
“CUCKOO” will also be released in the summer. What particularly interested you about this film? Tilman Singer, the director, is a truly exciting new voice in cinema - he has a very distinctive style that is so captivating and artfully disturbing. I was also very curious to work with Hunter Schafer, the lead actress of Cuckoo, who is such a bright and brilliant artistic soul.
Your career is so dynamic. How do you go about choosing a role? I crave variety, challenge and surprise, so I'm often guided by the search for those things, but it can also be a certain quality in the writing, a desire to work with certain directors or actors. It's different every time!

I restarted this book because I needed something to lighten my mood a bit. I’m about 100-pages in and Grace Lin is a fabulous storyteller and I really like the style of her writing where the book is layer after layer of stories.

Godzooky

[Sponsored by @glarnboudin. Ignore the “Varan” title, or maybe don’t. I realized that Godzooky may not be Godzilla’s blood relative, but he’s probably Varan’s. For those of you who don’t know, the Godzilla Power Hour was a Hanna Barbera adventure cartoon in the 1970s, which licensed Godzilla but had a cast of other monsters in it. Think Johnny Quest with less racism for the tone. But since it was 70s Hanna Barbera, it had to have a comic relief sidekick. Enter Godzooky:

Godzooky was a cute little dragon-y thing that whined and whimpered like Scooby-Doo, because he had the same voice actor, Don Messick. Think Minilla, but less repulsive to look at. This is my attempt at injecting some fantasy ecology into the concept of “Godzilla’s nephew”. It turned out kind of the opposite of a gray render as far as flavor text is concerned.]
Godzooky CR 7 N Magical Beast This creature is a reptilian biped, with a row of spines and plates along the back, sharp teeth and claws. It has membranous wings growing from between its arms and down its torso.
A godzooky is an omnivorous reptile that lives as a monstrous pilot fish. It follows in the wake of a greater monster and feeds on materials kicked up and carrion left behind by the movements and attacks of its superior. Their attitude towards this greater monster is something like that of a nephew towards their favorite uncle. The monsters a godzooky associates itself with can be anything from a genuinely weaker monster that has an irascible attitude and dominant personality all the way up to literal kaiju. Although they are curious and fairly friendly creatures, the appearance of a godzooky in a town or on a road brings concern—its patron monster may be close behind.
A godzooky is actually a reasonably powerful melee combatant, but they prefer to leave direct fighting to others. Instead, they make hit and run attacks through the air—they are not exactly graceful fliers, but they are speedy ones. Godzookies can breathe a cloud of choking smoke. There are reports of some that can actually breathe fire, but these are likely either mutated or very old and powerful specimens. A godzooky has a versatile vocal range, and they can magnify their calls into a deafening howl. The sound itself is dangerous in the short term. The fact that such a noise often acts as a beacon for a stronger monster is potentially catastrophic.
A godzooky is about ten feet tall when standing on its hind legs, and around thirty feet in length.

Treat this smoke as concealing vision like a fog cloud, and all creatures in the smoke must succeed a DC 17 Fortitude save each round they remain within it, or be staggered for 1 round from coughing. A godzooky can use this ability three times per day, but must wait 1d4 rounds between uses. A godzooky is immune to the choking ability of its smoke, but doesn’t have any ability to see through it. The save DC is Constitution based. Speak With Monsters (Su) A godzooky can communicate through a series of grunts, yelps and whines with any animal, dragon, magical beast, plant or vermin. The level of information communicated with these organisms is equivalent to that conveyed by a speak with animals spell. Yowl (Ex) As a standard action, a godzooky can scream so loudly that all creatures within 60 feet must succeed a DC 17 Fortitude save or be deafened for 1 minute. A creature that succeeds this save is immune to the yowl of a godzooky for the next 24 hours. The save DC is Constitution based.
