The music in Teen Titans is really lovely! They do a wonderful job at setting the moods. Probably why some scenes really hit hard and feel particularly scary or painful in contrast with the light hearted moments.

Speaking of, It bothers me how fans pf the 2003 cartoon state that it was made with the intent of fixing/ surpassing the source material because the creators have been pretty open about their love of the Titans in general. In fact, Glen stated that's one of his fears was that he'd be seen as "fixing" them.
In fact even they wanted to show more of Terra and felt that the Brother Blood arc could've been much better.
A season focused on Starfire was also considered amongst other things.
On the plus side, DT did appear in the Tie in comic.
But yeah, If it weren't for the cartoon I wouldn't have been interested in them. And after doing some digging I appreciate this show more than I did as a kid and teen.

On July 19, 2003, the highly regarded "Teen Titans" cartoon premiered. It featured the villain Slade Wilson (Deathstroke) sending some new recruits from H.A.E.Y.P./H.I.V.E. (Gizmo, Jynx, and Mammoth) to battle the Teen Titans (Robin, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Raven, and Starfire). ("Final Exam", Teen Titans, TV, Event)

Batman Adventures Annual #2 is a big Jack Kirby Tribute issue guest starring The Demon Etrigan. They realized they had to fill a lot more pages so they inserted a dream sequence with an obscure Kirby creation from the 70s.
Pisces, The Witch Queen of Ancient Sumeria, had only ever appeared as a dream sequence in the first two pages of Weird Mystery Tales Issue #1 from 1972.

They've finally decided to release the Teen Titans OST!!!!!
This is huge. The music was always so incredible in this show so to be about to finally listen to the clean score is something many of us have wanted for a long time.
Not sure what made them decide to do this, but I'm so happy!
