All For One pondering the shonen curse ala plot armor (my hero academia chp 385) *My Academia Hero Notes*
*has a city busting cannon in his goddamn arm* REPEAT-use btw- not a one time expense, and all these NPC characters (most of whom DO NOT possess endurance or regen quirks btw) survive anyway.
At least a town-city busting feat, and ALL of them survived. Come on, after Jiro did that "you made my friends cry" shit, yeah Final Arc fell flat on her goddamn face. Between that, Ochako's Love Therapy Session, Rei somehow surviving Toya with no combat training, Deku's Ultimate Talk-No Jutsu Flashback--SMASH!! Shit's a joke.
And it's ironic that All For One is at the center of this L, because My Hero started regressing the moment he was removed from the board after Kamino Arc.
That's when the bullshit really started. That Lasertag dodgeball bullshit with the Exam. They immediately supplanted him with Nine (Dollar Tree AFO) then Chisaki, then that stupid as fuck Festival. Then that meaningless as fuck Joint Training Arc, just dry as fuck one after the other. After All For One was gone, the tension, the stakes just dropped.
It's not like he was running shit overseas or anything, or ran the goddamn prison, or he had a clone & the AFO they confiscated was a Perfected-Nomu which would've made more sense. This is a man who is older than 100 years old, a lot of people forget that. Man this shit was dropped hard, so mishandled.
Between Horikoshi's lack of experience, and Shonen Jump breathing down his neck-- Coulda been worse but My Hero really should've been this Generations Justice League Unlimited x Avatar The Last Airbender x Teen Titans 2003
It tried to be all of them in it's own way (Because if you notice, Horikoshi is a fanboy of Western Media), and failed to emulate a single one of them in the ways that mattered.
And the issues began & (from what i'm seeing CHP418++) will end with AFO.
So unfortunate.

Griffith the overqualified Man-child.
The fact that he considered Guts a possession, this character is a vindictive, egotist control-freak that willingly fucked his entire group twice.

Now, in context he was reluctant to commit to the sacrifice, & was remorseful for all the people that died for his dream (1997 version anyway). The God Hand had to big up his ego first, manipulate him and convince him to do it-- But the fact that his first order of business as Femto was to r*pe the one person on the planet who admired him the most & did absolutely no wrong to him. Just to hurt Guts.
YET AGAIN, he's using people as a means to get what he wants. Casca is just a thing for him to use.
And it's ironic, all those years with Casca at his side: Nothing. She finally moves on to someone who sees, respects and acknowledges her as both a warrior & a woman.
NOW Griffith feels some type of way, when he did nothing but ignore her. And he's too intelligent for me to believe he didn't know how she felt, he just kept her on a leash as a means of control and when both Guts & Casca found purpose & happiness WITHOUT his sorry ass as the center of attention, he felt he had a score to settle for that.

Especially in his weakened state where he definitely felt his ego get trampled on.
All because he wasn't the main character anymore, all because Guts outgrew him, and so did Casca.
I already knew the entire reason he went to Charlotte's room was to vindicate himself by feeling like he had control over someone, ANYONE, he had to dominate a teenager just to get the taste of Guts' W out his mouth.
But the fact that he admitted it when he was in his cell, verbally admitted his not having control over Guts is his fucking damage, that his issue was that Guts surpassed him as a man, Griffith is just pathetic.
He kept Guts around for his strength, he envied Guts because the man didn't need a Band to achieve his dream, and Griffith couldn't stop him from walking away vs Griffith who wouldn't have accomplished anything if it weren't for the people around him that carried him to every success he achieved THROUGH the team.
Now he's basically an Anti-Christ figure uniting the world under a united banner/Government-- All to maintain his childish dream of having his castle. And for what, and the cost of so many good men, even Corkus' annoying ass didn't deserve that shit, and I mean that. Gaston, Pippin, Judeau, the goddamn horses, fucking hell.
Both Charlotte & Casca knew the truth, Griffith is a child. They meant it as an endearing trait, but that alone is his entire problem. He's a fucking child.
Guts deserves to wear his ass down to a bloody pulp (How? WHATEVER Skull Knight did to obtain his power, that's what Guts needs to do), Casca deserves the kill-shot. Period.
If anything less happens, if ever, that story will be ruined forever. Because I can't imagine anything more appropriate. Maybe Guts becoming an Apostle? But either way, Casca need to get that final blow, I don't give a fuck.

Berserk deserved better, so did Casca.
I'm glad they're not just breezing past her trauma after she came back (TOOK WAY too damn long to get here), but they're really milking this (Casca can't be with Guts) shit.
Come on man, you're only going to waste time you could be wrapping this story up instead burning chapters on melodrama. PROGRESS the story, I think the plot has waited long enough.
You can address her psychological recovery without having to stomp guts in the balls for no fucking reason.

Women have the luxury to forget that a man stakes his life when he gets involved with a lady, some guys die for women they don’t even know. It’s soooo easy to forget that when you’re not a man, not the protector, and that burden isn’t on you.
You’re not incriminated if you overlook it, but just keep in mind how easy it is to OVERLOOK it while you’re holding that grocery list of all the things you might feel you’re entitled to of a man because “he’s the man”.
Cause when a shooting happens, a building comes down, or something pops off, and your mortality sinks in real fucking quick — and it’s not you who’s expected to take bullets if necessary.
You naturally expect the male to “step up” and do the thing. Rightfully so, but don’t then take agency from his preferences because that’s more convenient for you, when things are peaceful and society tells you you’re the center of universe.
Even the BIBLE mandates a man sacrifices his life for the wife. (Not a girlfriend, his wife, his honor. A wife is ENTITLED to his life, & vice versa)
SO with all of that said, between men and women, a woman gets to pick & choose because she’s going to be bearing the children (that’s how she gives her body & for some that involves fatality), and he especially gets that privilege because he’s expected to 100% die for her & the kids, AND PAY for it all if he doesn’t.
Doesn’t get any more serious than the bastards LIFE. Yes he does get to pick & choose. Especially the husband.
Does that mean change yourself? Well that’s a personal decision if you feel they’re worth it, because even then: How many women go through life thinking men should change for them; if he “really loves her-”, he should, right? Or she can “fix” him.
But not the other way around right?
I’m noticing this attitude that a man changing for a woman is romantic, but a woman not changing for him is empowering, that shit’s not it bro.
That’s how you fuck up with the little things, plant seeds of hubris, ego and entitlement that will burn a lot of bridges that could’ve led straight to your happiness.. and music is one of many forms of propaganda that deludes you into thinking (He for She, but not Me for He) = one way street, you CAN not do that and expect success
And it all starts with double standards.
I like the message, but at the same time, be careful. Don’t overlook the simple things:
men are too used to being told they shouldn’t have standards or a choice when it comes to women, it’s bullshit. If we’re the sacrificial workhorse, bodyguard, progenitor, provider — You are GODDAMN RIGHT we get a fucking choice.
Don’t take fellas for granted, it benefits you now while you’re young & nobody is going to challenge you, but it’s gonna bite you in the ass.
And by that, that doesn’t mean you’ll end up alone. But don’t think just because you’re not (by yourself) for the rest of your life: Automatically means you’ll be happy, it doesn’t. Hopefully you don’t find that out the hard way.Be vigilant, have standards (cause this ain’t Build-A-Bitch or CREATE-A-Sim, you’re not here to be molded by some boy’s/girl’s whims, make sure they’re worth it to begin with), but (for the love of god) be humble.
Society sets you up for failure making you believe your choice, and what women want is the only thing that’s relevant in a situation that involves TWO people, that’s bullshit, and a dangerous attitude to have.
Otherwise, the beat is funky tho, it reminds me of Selena Gomez’ songs around the 2010′s, i miss that era, i miss that Youtube.
