Not going to lie, Gotham Knights’ cancellation hit me hard. It was so clear how much of themselves the writing team poured into the story, especially Natalie, and the last episode where Sharper went canon and Steph came out reflected my own experiences in a really visceral way that meant a LOT to see play out on cable TV.
I’m sure it’s partially because of how much the cast & production team have interacted with the fandom (I’ve never had a show creator reply to my tweets or care to talk to me personally before 🥺) so I felt pretty gutted by this show getting tabled.
With the strike still hot, I don’t think a rescue campaign will do much at the moment, so I thought I might try and spread positivity another way. I’ve had this raffle in the planning stages for a while, I wanted to celebrate my newest original book release by giving back, which is why I had these signed.
Between GK and Misha’s demining campaign for U24 & Legacy of War in Ukraine losing a bit of steam, it feels like as good a time to put it out there.
My personal goal is to raise $1k for Misha’s demining fundraiser! I would love to make that happen.
This raffle is easy: donate $5 or more to that effort, send me a receipt, and be entered to win. You can also donate to Random Acts and get a second entry.

Ya'll are amazing, I hope you know that! 211$ raised from a 4 year olds lemonade stand. Much of it from "virtual lemonade" (donations)! This is what Irpin forest looks like. Just 26 kilometers from Kyiv. It was occupied by the russian army during the first month of the war. 15,000 russian soldiers, ammunition depots, and artillery stations took part in the shelling of Irpin and nearby villages.
The Ukrainian military liberated Kyiv Oblast at the end of March 2022, but the forest was partially demined only 2 weeks ago. Only one path is walkable, only when accompanied by de-miners, with little room for maneuvering. Our ambassador Misha Collins, and First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, were the first to visit this once-inhabited place.
“In Ukraine, there are thousands of square acres of land contaminated with landmines. Many of them are on agricultural land, but they are also found in forests, on roads, and in homes, in children's toys, pianos, and refrigerators. The humanitarian demining operation across Ukraine is a complex and large project. I have worked with Giles Duley and the Legacy of War Foundation in Laos for the last couple of years. Where the demining program has been going on since the 70s. However, even today, tragedies happen there every day - children lose limbs because of mines. This will be a massive problem for Ukraine for a very long time. But we can save tens of thousands of lives by implementing the demining program as quickly and efficiently as possible," said Misha Collins.
