i saw someone on twitter writing qsmp names in korean and im trying so hard not to be bothered i know they have good intentions but it was just so wrong in parts so instead here's how qsmp names would be written in korean BY THE SOUND not how they're written. note that i am not korean nor on the korean side of qsmptwt but as a casual kpoppie it's a rite of passage to learn hangul and try to learn korean at one point therefore though i am not a trusted source i do know the basics of the phonetics LUL

english speaking creators:
badboyhalo: 밷보이헤이로 (baed-bo-i-he-i-ro/lo) i infer it'd be easier to just call him 헤이로 out of every part of him name please let's halo-truth bbh. the 헤이 slurs into the "hey/hei" sound, very little accentuation on the just one part, it works as one!!
dantdm: 단티디엠 or 댄티디엠 (dan-ti-di-em, daen-ti-di-em) i've heard both pronunciations for the name dan, it's a matter of preference here! EDIT: also possibly 댼 instead which is also daen but like, not really? but also they're really similar? and i don't know how to hear the difference but there is one and nevermind don't worry about it man
fit: 피트 (pi-teu) directly would be 핕 but that's just a tricky one it's bound to have a soft ㅡ sound following
foolish: 푸리쓰 or 푸리쌰? (pu-ri/li-sseu, pu-ri/li-ssya) THIS ONE IS TRICKY if it does go 쌰 it's be a soft one, but more likely 쓰 EDIT: IS IT 풀리쎠 (peul-ri-ssyeo) ?!?!?!? IM STILL ON THIS FOOLISH IS SO TOUGH TO PUT INTO HANGUL IM NOT GONNA BE OVER IT
ironmouse: 아이욘마우스 or 아이룐마우스 (a-i-yon-ma-u-seu, a-i-ryon/lyon-ma-u-seu) this one feels tit for tat, same same, just a minor difference in accentuating the r in iron or not! EDIT: could also be 아이런 (a-i-reon) or 아이론 (a-i-ron) !!!
jaiden: 제이든 (je-i-deun) no notes very easy and straightforward one
lenay: 르네이 (reu/leu-ne-i) same with jaiden's!
nihachu / niki: 니하추 or 니아추, 니키 (ni-ha-chu, ni-a-chu, ni-ki) another same same thing with ni-HA or ni-A, just depends on accentuation or not! the 추 may possibly be said as 츄 instead, but im unsure of which
philza: 피르쟈, 피르 (pi-reu/leu-jya, pi-reu/leu) no notes, straightforward! as you will come to notice, f's usually translate to ㅍ's, and z's usually translate to ㅈ's!
quackity: 콰키티 (kua/kwa-ki-ti) no notes! i heard like months back that quackity's korean fandom endearingly calls him 키티 i think?? fun fact i remembered :)
slimecicle / charlie: 스라임씨컬, 챨이 (seu-ra/la-im-ssi-keol/keor, chyal/chyar-i) wow okay so how do you write charlie in korean because i KNOW there's no way it's 챠르리 (chya-reu-ri) my tongue is tripping over the 르리, it has to be 챨이, or 챠리, or 챨리 right??? okay the more i think the more 챨리 (chyal-li) sounds right ok everyone go home i think it's 챨리 LUL

elmariana: 에르마리아나 or 엘마리아나 (e-reu/leu-ma-ri/li-a-na, el-ma-ri-a-na) the reason why i included 에르 alongside 엘 is because it ends up sounding like "ed", the L/R sound in korean is in that same range and when said fast or cut abruptly like 엘, it sounds like a D, if not for context :) so 엘 COULD work! but it'd be hard to recognize it as an L/R sound without some extra space made for the sound. this is also relevant for elquackity!
german: 헤르만 or 헬만 (he-reu/leu-man, her/hel-man) same thing as last note applies here! it'd sound like HED-man more than HER-man but, still, could work!
luzu, arin: 루쥬 or 루주, 아린 (ru/lu-jyu, ru/lu-ju, a-rin/lin) no notes! i see luzu more said with the 쥬 sound instinctively but it's one of those either or i think EDIT: if it were the spain pronunciation i think it'd be 루튜 (lu-tyu) or 루뜌 (lu-ddyu) ??? the thhh sound doesn't exist in korean but this is the closest it gets i think
maximus, maxo: 맠수머스, 맠서 (mak-su-meo-seu, mak-seo) okay at this point my brain is mush and im sure there's a better way to write this but it's a tricky one. the 맠 could also be 막 (mag) but im unsure where in the mouth the difference is between 맠 and 막, because hangul is very mouth oriented, it's allll about tongue placement, and i am SO not on that X_X EDIT: i change my mind it's 막 for maximus but 맠서 is fine i think idk how to explain is just is. also alternate pronunciationfor maximus: 막씨머스 (mag-ssi-meo-seu)
missa sinfonia: 미싸 씬퍼냐 (mi-ssa ssin-peo-nya) yeah that seems about right (my brain is melting everything is hangul) no notes! EDIT: ok but IS it possibly 미사 (mi-sa)??? im doubting myself here
polispol, pol: 폴에쓰폴, 폴 (pol-e-sseu-pol, pol) no notes!

vegetta: 베헷따 (be-het-dda) okay i don't know how to explain but tonalities of how you say vegetta in spanish make me think 베 and that the tta would be equal to the sharpness of 따 stick with me here i've been doing hangul names for so long now i can't see the end of the horizon EDIT: for some reason im changing my mind it might be 페헷따 (pe-het-dda)
willyrex, willy: 위리렉스, 위리 (wi-ri-reg-seu, wi-ri) okay again idk how to explain but the reason why ㄱ and not ㅋ is because it just feels like it instinctively, like that's a deep ㄱ abrubt stop, not a high ㅋ abrupt stop. im losing my marbles
portuguese speaking creators:
bagi: 바지 (ba-ji) no notes!
cellbit: 셀비트 (sel-bi-teu) guys this is getting hard. yes it's somehow sel and not se-leu. yes it's bi-teu and somehow not bit. if it were bit it'd be missing the aftermath TCH sound and i think it sounds good with it. the sel has space to breathe and isn't abrupt. stay with me. we're almost done EDIT: fellow hangul enjoyer anon in ask box said 셀빛 (sel-bich/bit) or 셀비츠 (sel-bi-cheu) if with the accent, i like these, ur getting put on the fridge with the best magnets. 빛 is a fun one because it sounds pretty much the same to 빝 or 빗, all end in the same stop of the tongue going to the roof of the mouth, but 빛 in particular means "light" and i think that's nice :)
felps: 펠릅스 (pel-reub-seu) holy moly i didn't expect this to be a tongue twister but i think i nailed it
mike: 마이크 or 마이키 (ma-i-keu, ma-i-ki) i've heard mike being called mikey so i included it for fun because there's been so much hardship. so so much. we're in this together.
pac: 팩 or 패크 (paeg, pae-keu) paeg and not paek because it's just a more throat based sound to say pac idk man. pae-keu is a hypothetical im losing it man i don't know anything anymore EDIT: okay i change my mind it's definitely 패크 over 팩 im so loopy from hyperfocus overload man EDIT EDIT: i can also see 팍 (pak) being used though that isn't how it sounds for us, i can see someone saying it that way in korean if they were to read it before hearing it and then go from there
french speaking creators:
antoine daniel: 안투완 단옐 (an-tu-wan dan-yel) in french the a's are long so 단 over 댄 is a guaranteed. the yel could be accentuated more but you get the point by now

Blaugrana, catalan for blue and red and in Y/N's case; her next colors, but not those of Fc Barcelona. Last minute, rumors shifted. Lyon's interest in Frankfurt's star was made public and Y/N loved it.
Staying in Germany wasn't in her plans. Once upon a time, Frankfurt had given Y/N everything she wanted, served it up on a silver platter - but what she truly desired - beating Fc Barcelona on the big stage? They couldn't provide it.
Back in Barcelona, everybody was convinced that Y/N would sign for them, the board, the dressing room, the fans - everybody was getting ready for her return, at the end of the day, Y/N was a La Masia graduate and as she showed, she was more culé than Cruyff himself.
Or that's what they thought.
'Y/N, Frankfurt's star leaves the Germans for the French giants', 'Y/N on the move: Lyon pay a record signing fee for the Spaniard'
The media was going crazy, the biggest transfer upset just happened - the ultimate backstabbing - Y/N kept Fc Barcelona on their toes until the final second, signing for the French club instead.
Fans were heartbroken, Barca shirts with her name and number were thrown out, some even burned. Y/N had made culé's hearts tear to shreds.
The Barcelona group chat? In shambles - shade being thrown, blaming teammates, crying, feelings of betrayal. Y/N had managed to break the dressing room with a simple signature.
Y/N's phone blew up, on the other side Mapi was close to tears, angry at her decision. What did this mean for them?
"Why why why" the defender muttered as soon as her lover picked up the phone. Mapi relentlessly called Y/N, not taking silence for an answer "I thought you were happy here" Leon was slowly giving up on their 'love story'.
"Cutie, I told you - this was never serious for me" Y/N knew of the pain she was inflicting, but she didn't stop "We are only fuck buddies" she laughed "Great ones"
The defender was heartbroken, all her fantasies, her future - a future with Y/N playing in their backyard with their German Shepherd, their firstborn hanging from Y/N's neck, their house: a three bedroom bungalow filled with plants, filled with love, a house on a field in the Catalan countryside - its was all broken, lying on the floor like shattered glass after a hurricane.
Y/N had turned into Mapi's Alexia. The person who now betrayed the defender in a way that tore the defender apart. Was she not good enough for Y/N?
It was a tough pill to swallow, but the defender pushed through. Having the Catalonian by her side - in any capacity - was enough for her; at least for now.
Ignoring her team's feelings on the matter, Mapi helped Y/N set up her apartment in France. A lovely two bedroom penthouse, uncluttered, minimalist, the whole of Lyon on display from her balcony. That view at night, the shining stars, the warm breeze, the constant noise.
It was everything Y/N loved, something that contrasted with Leon's pursuit of calmness, quiet, peace.
Shirts being ripped, uncontrollable hands traveling across their bodies, nails dug into the defender's back releasing all the pleasure she caused, hickeys decorating each other's bodies.
Y/N's first days in France were a dream, with the blonde defender by her side, amazing food, breathtaking sex. She had everything she desired.
Things changed, the role Mapi played in Y/N's life became significant. Unwavering trust, undeniable chemistry, Y/N could no longer remain unreachable. Something had to give in.
Both stars were having the season of their lives. Who knew that being on top of your game required trips across Europe.
Mapi's Barcelona were, like always, ruling the league and national cups. Scoring goals for fun, automatisms returned: no pass failed to get to its destination.
For Y/N's Lyon, it looked promising. Unbeaten in the league, perfect cup run thus far, injuries kept to a minimum. It looked like the French giants were returning to their roots.
Champions league ahead, chaos struck - Y/N had had enough - the pressure finally gave in, everything crumbled to the ground.
"We have to talk" their date couldn't have started in a worse way "I can't just be on your speed dial every time you want to get back at somebody" the defender's declaration ignited rage inside Y/N.
Sure, Y/N had called Mapi for instant pleasure anytime something went wrong and contrary to what the public saw; a lot of things were going south for Y/N.
Her incorporation to the team hadn't gelled; sidelined by teammates, everybody knew of her culé past, her fling with the Spanish defender, they all doubted Y/N's reasons for choosing Lyon over her beloved club. Was she Barcelona's secret weapon?
"You know what" Y/N exploded, standing explosively from her chair, their romantic dinner date came to an end "I'm tired of this shit, you think that you ever were anything more than a way for me to get revenge?" That was it, no going back now "Get over yourself Leon, we're done"
Y/N left Barcelona that night, promising herself that her return would bring pain to whoever had wronged her.
Weeks of hurt, loneliness, crying. Both stars were now aching. Y/N's words had left her mouth without giving herself a chance to think. Was she regretting her choices? Her words?
An ego too big to beg for forgiveness, Y/N stuck with her decision; maybe a clean break with anything that came with a Barcelona tag attached was necessary.
Diving head first into football, Y/N slowly gained Lyon's trust. Her goals were celebrated by the whole team, individual celebratory handshakes with her new soulmates - Ada Hegerberg; their hatred for the Blaugrana club brought them together - and Van De Donk; their recent party antics made them the perfect duo.
Parties paid by Y/N's checks, the wage she was getting from Lyon was more than enough to rent out mansions just for fun. The dressing room was now united, they had unwavering trust in Y/N. They now knew that she was on their side.
Y/N was now their star.

Matthew and Brady on @ The Rink Podcast
Most of what they said bits of it has already come out in previous articles a few weeks back
Brady discussed his summer wedding, his excitement going into the season, the growth of his team and what he learned watching Matthew and the Panthers go on their run to the Stanley Cup Final last season.
Brady : "Just to see the every-day grind of taking care of himself, making sure he's ready for the game, and just as a leader too, taking care of yourself so you're able to demand from the rest because you're doing it right," he said. "I'm definitely ready and hopefully it'll be me in the playoffs soon.
"Seeing what he did created a lot of motivation for me over the summer."
Matthew discussed the broken sternum he sustained during the Stanley Cup Final and the pain he was in, the help he got from his brother at that time, Brady's bachelor party in Miami, and feeling a different vibe in the South Florida market after last season.
"Very different," Matthew said. "A lot more buzz. There's a lot of buzz around every sports team. It's turning into a sports crazy town and that makes it fun. [Soccer star Lionel] Messi coming in makes that much more buzz. The past few years the Dolphins have been great. What us and the Heat did last year really gave a lot of traction for us as a hockey team. So it's pretty cool." via NHL.COM

A few added things from Matthew's interview on the podcast some of which we've already heard & posted previously but included here for anyone that missed it first time round.
His injury allowed him to work on his strength & conditioning.
He wishes there was no social media after all the wedding stuff posted online, his family like to have a good time at weddings and doesn't know where people get this stuff (footage that goes viral).
Things Brady is better at than him: a better shot, video games & being a all round better human being than him (but he'll work on that!), Matthew says he himself is a ball buster, Matthew takes the bragging rights when it comes to Golf though he says his Dad is better at chirping and more witty & more funny than him & thinks his dad's game was underappreciated & underrated at the time he played, people realise from Matthew & Brady's game style how good & valuable he was and his dad gets belated recognition which he appreciates.
Says Brady's bachelor party in Miami took a few years off his life!
His summer consisted of the trip to Nashville for the player Awards, laying around in the hotel doing nothing, Bachelor parties, four weddings, and a trip to Montana in August, though he hasn't really done much of anything over the last month.
The Blood vessels and stuff were the the scary part of his injury at the time and half his body felt like it was out here, he knew something wasn't right, he didn't know what it was at the time, until they did his tests the next day. He was in the most pain after winning game three the overtime win. But now he's all good.
It was doctors who gave him the go ahead to do what he could to play just one last game. Despite the serious nature of his injury he would do it all over again if he had the chance.
He's excited to get going for camp & the new season though mentions the missing guys until around Christmas will be a tough ask (Montour & Ekblad) he feels The Panthers have more depth especially with the D this year.
Calls Alex Lyon The Lyon King & Big praise for his (Lyon) & Bob's heroics. How they had to play with only six D & two Goalies with Knight's absence last year.
The goal is to again make the playoffs, and be in the mix he wants to get of to a good start and how it sucks to have to chase for a spot like they had last year.
The Allstar was a good jump start because the Panthers weren't doing well as a team at that point which created a buzz that carried on leading on the cup run.

lose something, babe, risk something (Lyon - Fleury Postgame Thoughts)
Where the fuck was this Lyon last week?
It's always been true that this team plays better when vexed. They need their feelings hurt, they need to get pissed off, because it brings something out in them. They're better for it in many ways. You would have thought the possibility of not playing in a final would have brought that out in them, but apparently mediocre performances are now deemed acceptable standards.
This team got a lot of backlash after the semi-final loss, and I think it was good for them, I do. There's a somewhat flimsy argument that players should be protected at all costs. I get it in theory but fans should be able to hold players accountable for their performances. If you can say when a team played well, you should also be able to say when they played badly.
And there was a lot of the latter. There was a lot of "get rid of Bompastor" (still true), "sell the dead weight players" (also still true), and more importantly, "this team was a disgrace". The fans were frustrated and disappointed and let their feelings be known. I think that's a good thing. Hold your team accountable when they fall short of the standards you know they are capable of meeting.
I think it's necessary to do that because we saw in Friday's game what happens when Lyon does meet those standards. We saw some really good sequences of play. The movement was better, the passing was crisper. They genuinely looked better. it was nice to see Lyon being, well, Lyon again.
The standout player was obviously Dabritz. She's really become such a big game player, and is genuinely fun to watch. She's just a no-nonsense player, keeps her head down, does her job, and will do her upmost best to drag Lyon over the finish line. She's starting to show some really interesting leadership qualities too. I wonder if she will become like Endler, what the team psychiatrist referred to as a "quiet leader" in that they aren't necessarily vocal / giving big speeches, but players follow by example.
Dabritz flies under the radar a lot of the time, but I think her profile will grow. My true German royalty player. (Can I make royal monarchy jokes considering the Kate Middleton scandal going on? Ehh, why not)
It was nice to keep a clean sheet again though once more I fucking hate how everyone uses "le clean sheet" every time their goalkeeper does the minimum. It's so, so fucking annoying, especially because it was taken out of context. Anyway, defense was good, though I do think Gilles could have done better. She wasn't bad, but when you compare her with her top form, the level definitely wasn't the same. M'Bock is getting back to her pre-injury form, which is always nice to see. Bacha was a little inconsistent but it was nowhere near as inconsistent as the Coupe de France semifinal. Carpenter didn't really do anything which stood out, which is more a reflection on the defense not really having much to do for most of the game than anything else.
Van de Donk was good but not great. It's one of those situations where she played well, could have played better, but was still a good performance. The scuffle at the end which resulted in not one, not two, but three Lyon players having to intervene did make me laugh a little, especially because the audio picked up Bompastor going "Daan Daan Daan DAAN" as soon as van de Donk got up from the foul. Van de Donk is similar to Lyon in that she plays better when she is a little pissed off. Again, not her best performance ever, but she was good, it must be said.
So it was a good win, a good performance. Have they played better? Sure. But they've played worse, especially the horror show that was last week, so it's nice to see Lyon looking like themselves again before the trip to Benfica next week. Bompastor said in the postgame that she's been following Benfica closely, so we'll see that actually translates to the field or not.

They'll have two kids: Soleil (eldest sister) and Lyon (younger brother). Fun fact: Soleil's middle name is Lumi in post-LR, because I thought it'd be funny if Lumina made Serah swear to name their first child after her and this was the best she could compromise LOL.
6) Any flowers you associate with your OC?
I've drawn dark pink/purple dahlias to represent her before. The colors represented how her love and desire to protect was tinted by a fearful obsession that really disregarded the individuals she sought to protect in question.
11) What actor or voice actor do you see best playing as your OC? 25) The name you chose for your OC, why did you chose it?

14) What about any siblings, do they have any and is their relationship good?
Estelle considers Thea to be her sister and likewise. In post-LR, she's officially adopted by Thea's parents (who are also still alive in XIII canon). They have a great sibling relationship–a lot of Estelle's foundation is built on her relationship with Thea.
In post-LR, they have more of an equal typical-sibling dynamic since they're both adults and Estelle has had time to mature.
18) What is your OC’s greatest fear?
Estelle's greatest fear is losing the people she loves again. She hated how powerless she felt when Thea died. She's also afraid of confronting Thea's parents and has avoided contacting them for several years.
20) What hobbies does your OC have?
Estelle gains an interest in gardening after seeing the flowers on Oerba's rooftop. It's the first time she's really considered having a future. The image of those flowers persevering was burnt into her mind ever since.
That said, she's really likes raising houseplants in particular. She especially likes collecting small potted plants that look like little babies to her. She helps out in the community garden.
She also enjoys finding matching clothes for all of them to wear, is a little into woodcarving but hasn't committed, likes reading dirty novels in secret, nightly walks, and just spending time alone in general (usually with cats).
21) Any embarrassing secrets your OC demands you take to the grave but you will share anyway?
Estelle considers her entire childhood embarrassing and will very rarely tell stories when prompted.
Anyways, her class went on field trip to the zoo once. A chocobo spooked her, causing her to fall on her butt and start crying. As an adult, she will insist her wariness of chocobos stems from the fact that they're really large and heavy creatures, and not that one made her cry as a little kid. She has never learned to ride one either.
Oh, and she cries when she watches children's movies–happy ending or not. She can't watch them with other people around.

The Memorable Moments of Season 14
I’m going to be honest: I had given up on the RHONY reboot. With the delays, the issues with casting, another racial scandal?!
It looked like this was a catastrophe! It was a huge gamble and we had to get to learn a whole new bunch of women. It was risky!
But when the premiere finally aired, I was having a great time. The women were beautiful, established, fascinating, and arguing about the silliest things!
But we needed silly. We needed fun. We needed diversity. We needed something new.
As the season went on, it became a little stale. The girls trip wasn’t as chaotic and hilarious as we’ve gotten spoiled with by the original cast.
But at the end of the day, it showed potential. This was the women’s first season as housewives, and they can only grow from here.
1. Cheese Platter Gate
We jumped in medias res into this season where the group was low-key divided after a night on the town.
They were mad that Erin Lichy had chosen such a trendy place and not gone for something classier.
And Erin was upset that Sai De Silva had been complaining about her cheese platter.
And we saw them together for the first time in Jenna Lyons’ apartment, where they would rather argue about cheese than talk about sex.
Jenna was bewildered.
2. "I look like a Christmas tree!"
Erin had invited the women out to her Hamptons home outside of the season, and one housewife in particular was complaining that it was too cold, there wasn’t any Wifi, and the gift she had gotten from Jenna made her look like a Christmas tree.
Jessel Taank had been activated.
3. “Alexa, open refrigerator!”
Brynn Whitfield was the breakout star of the premiere, and she was bubbly, flirty, cute and funny.
When she tried to open Erin’s refrigerator by commanding Alexa, I laughed so hard.
4. “Tribeca is up and coming.”
After their trip to the Hamptons there were tension between Erin and Jessel. They met up for lunch to talk it over, and it was a classic Housewives scene.
It reminded me of Nene Leakes vs. Shereé Whitfield, and Bethenny Frankel vs. Kelly Bensimon.
When Jessel said that the neighbourhood was up and coming, I knew that I was going to love her.
She reminded me a little bit of Dorit Kemsley when she first joined RHOBH, and she showed potential of becoming the real star of the RHONY reboot.
5. The Vow Renewal Interrupters
Erin was renewing her vows at a party that seemed like a charity event in a museum.
It was sponsored by a million different companies, there really weren’t any food there, and the speeches was long and apparently tedious.
The women were berated by Erin’s family for talking during the speeches, but as we could hear, there were a lot of talking other than them.
Brynn also got into trouble for flirting with Erin’s husband, Abe Lichy.
6. "Jenna-Jenna-talia!"
From the moment we were introduced to Jenna, I immediately fell in love with her.
Her personality, her quirkiness, her sense of humour, her fashion!
Jenna seemed like an incredible addition to the show, and at times I had a difficulty believing it was really true.
When one of her models were visibly nervous, she shared with her that her real name was Judith.
And her name was a nickname her brother had teased her with: “Jenna-Jenna-talia!” My jaw hit the floor!
7. Coachgate
The women were bothering Jenna for not being open and vulnerable with them, when she in fact had opened herself so much about her sexuality, her upbringing, and how the illness incontinentia pigmenti has affected her life.
When the women were going on a girls trip, Jenna wanted to fly before them to get tanned so her scars wouldn’t be showing so much.
But Erin, the little shit-stirrer that she is, made it seem like Jenna didn’t want to fly coach with the rest of the women. They were being so mean to her!
8. Where’s Ubah’s phone?
If there’s one thing we learned on this trip, is that you don’t mess around with Ubah Hassan’s phone.
Erin had pranked her by keeping her lost phone from her, and when she found her phone, she was not happy. In retaliation she took Erin’s sunglasses away from her for 45 minutes.
Erin didn’t like Ubah’s behaviour and she cried and cried about it.
9. Jessel Can’t Win with Sai
On this trip the women had tried to get to know each other better, and when they wanted to know Jessel’s story, shit immediately hit the fan.
Especially Erin and Sai felt like Jessel was trying to compare her upbringing and struggles to Sai’s, who’s been through a lot of difficult things.
But instead of accepting that Jessel’s struggles was real to her, the ridiculed and criticized her stories.
It wasn’t nice, and neither seemed Sai, to be honest.
10. Jenna Wore Jeans at the Reunion!
To finish this reboot, Jenna wore jeans to the reunion! Ever the rulebreaker she showed up authentic to her.
During the season she had talked about how she refused to dress up for the male gaze and came to the reunion as Jenna fucking Lyons.
Personally, I loved it. And it wouldn’t have the same impact if people didn’t lose their shit over it. And they did.

Newark to Camillus
French toast with peaches and bacon was a delicious way to start the day. There should be no delusions that this is a trip that includes weight loss.
We got out of Newark at a decent time and jumped on the trail. We saw the Barge Canal at the beginning of the day but it went off to the north. The rest of the ride was a mix of riding on the original Erie Canal towpath and roads.
We hit some locks in Lyons and some interesting old boats in dry dock.
When we rode on the Erie Canal tow path, we learned that it had 83 locks - which makes a lot more sense as compared to the C&O since they were of similar ages. The Barge Canal didn’t need near as many.
Rob took my key this morning to unlock the bikes, and I didn’t get them back right away. Just before the video below, I got notified that my keys were left behind (by the AirTag). Turns out my keys left me behind!
We stopped in Weedsport for lunch and went on to Jordan. There have been lots of murals along the way. Here is the one from Jordan about Canal Law.
We rode just over 50 miles today. Instead of going on to Syracuse we stopped at Camillus. What I didn’t realize when I booked the inn was that we had a huge hill to climb to get there. There was no way I was going back to town for dinner and climb that hill again. The inn owner said that Uber is in the area and suggested going down to Skaneateles Lake - one of the NY finger lakes.
We got an Uber to take us down no problem. Getting one back was the sketchy part, but we did make it back without walking! It was a fun little unexpected adventure. Great dinner too!

Oooo we’re going on a road trip hmmm?
I’m the one driving because I’ll get panicked any other way. Kat tries to take over and Ei literally has to force him into a seat and buckle his ass in. However, once he’s buckled in and we’re on the road, he’s out within like 10 minutes.
Beel is also quick to fall asleep on the trip. But he wakes up at perfect intervals to hand out the delicious snacks he made for the trip. When he’s not snacking or sleeping he’s looking up things we should do at our destination.
Lyon has headphones in and is listening to a podcast. He stops it every so often to tell us about what they said and give his opinion on the subject even though no one else in the car has a clue what he’s listening to. So it becomes a game trying to figure out what it is.
Ei is up front with me because I’ve left him in charge of music and audiobooks. He’ll sing along to songs with me and hold my hand while I drive. Oh, and it’s really fun listening to romance books while driving because he gets all flustered during the smut scenes ((and he tries to pretend he’s not popping a boner in the passengers seat, heheh)).

July
My Mom and sister came to visit. This month was filled with eating good food, and spending time with them. I have many many photos, both of the food and with them. this was also the time of my OJT phase in CDS (Changi Defense Squadron). I spent countless hours sitting in the ops room studying for my tests, roughly 16 hours a day. Alongside seeing my first aircraft carrier USS RONALD REAGAN, I managed to pass all my tests on my fifth mount due to some complications with COVID. Mid month, my sister and mom flew back to Canada. I went to buy my first pair of climbing shoes, and came back to the hotel, and collapsed in tears. It wouldn’t be for another year before I would likely see them face-to-face again. Back to navy related things, there was something everyone had to pass, a turnout test. The timing to hit was 1:30. it wasn’t impossible, but very physically demanding. However, that wasn’t the worst part. The siren in the bunk was. It was an Air raid siren, and some brilliant genius decided to take off the muffler. My seniors informed me that if you sat for a minute listening to the siren, it would cause permanent hearing damage. Needless to say, I have mild PTSD from that thing. Anyways, I managed to pass my OJT batch turnout in three tries, and fell out of junior batch turnout after 1 attempt as I slipped and crashed into multiple bikes be for carrying on.
August
Nothing much of note occurred during August. I started flashing 7s at Bff climb, hit 100kg deadlift on reps, and decided that I would patch up a bomber jacket with patches of FWS (Foreign Warships) I got. I purchased an Alpha Industries bomber jacket for $160 and set that aside. I carried on with the rest of my OJT phase... waiting for the new batch of OJTs to come.
September
As many of my friends went commenced their second year of university, my batchmate, Zavier, and I started teaching our juniors the ropes. 3SG Alden, 3SG Lyon, and PTE Matthew. By the way, there’s something Sus about Alden, we’ll need to conduct a phone check on him eventually. After a very much uneventful first month, they managed to pass their tests by their fifth mount. I started wilding out on patches, meeting many foreign sailors along the way. I introduced my 72 batchmates to bouldering. We spent the day climbing. Shoutout to my Plt 2 72 boys, Zavier, Kai Jie, Aniq, and Colby. Solid guys. However, my seniors, 68 batch, were about to ORD. We custom ordered some tags for them with callsigns.
October
October was uneventful, but well, uneventful is good amidst chaos at times. I went out with Irving to do some photography, teaching him a little about editing along the way. This was the first month I completed an 8 at BFF climb, super proud of my progress. I should start working toward better footwork. Also, 30th October marked the end of Kaguya-Sama: Love is War manga series, I’m sad it ended, BUT, Kaguya and Shirogane get married so all is well.
November
Yet another uneventful month. One of my climbing vids popped off with 1k views, and I met new bouldering friends, Clair, ZiYi, and Jhean. I also went solo climbing for the first time... hit my first 8 I did without a beta.
December
The final month of the year. My uncle visited CNB (Changi Naval Base) and we got to tour a bunch of the warships, they were, realllllyyyyyy coool. I also travelled to Malaysia (first time abroad with friends), to go climbing and eat food. There was this scrumptious burger, Woodfire? I think the burger place was called, definitely need to go back there. We went climbing, karaoke, and ate food, a trip to remember. The 74s came in shortly after, at the start of December, and I entered my supervising batch. I started having a lot of fun in camp, doing silly things with my friends.Took a selfie with a rat too. I purchased my second pair of climbing shoes, before taking an incredibly bad fall and dislocating my ankle, those shoes gonna be collecting a little bit of dust. Was on crutches for a while. I was appointed 2IC recently, and currently shadowing the 2IC to learn. Other than that, more warships, and the festive season, where mine wasn’t so festive... ahahahaha. Expanded the patch collection though, it’s looking mad sick.
But yea, 2022 was a productive year. I met so many new friends. I just want to shoutout to Yida and Tien Loung for teaching me everything in CDS, as well as Zavier my tower buddy. We still have quite the journey together, but it’s been a heck of a time with you guys. The ending is definitely rushed, but I just had 2 cups of coffee and I’m on a caffeine high so yea, BYE!
To 2023, where new adventures await!

The park is owned by a family that has been in the amusement park business for more than 50 years. The park features over 20 rides, a mini-zoo, and a refreshment stand. There is also a large swimming pool for children and adults to enjoy.
The park's location near Sandy Lake means that the area is perfect for paddle boating. The park also features a large picnic pavilion. There are also over 50 games to play. The park is open year-round.

Especially seeing Ubah Hassan and Jessel Taank sharing a room and sticking up for Jenna Lyons has made them the dream team for me.
Erin and Sai mock Jessel’s story. They’ve been complaining about Jenna not opening up and being vulnerable.
But when they listen to Jessel’s story, the mock her and confront her with comparisons.
Suddenly it’s a competition who had the toughest life.
However, I don’t think it’s necessarily Jessel who tries to compare her upbringing to Sai’s.
I think that Erin and Sai just don’t take her seriously in general.
Ubah supported Jessel and said in her confessional:
“Any generation people share their story of their family. You are who you came from. And it’s so shocking that these intelligent women, they don’t see that. It’s annoying and actually quite embarrassing.”
While Erin and Sai are making me tired with their complaints, Jenna, Jessel and Ubah are becoming the stars of the show.
I wasn’t expecting to be as excited about Jessel as I’ve gotten this season.
On their boat ride, she called the captain “Pilot Nelson” and said she was driving “this not yacht”.
Brynn Whitfield, who came in like a wrecking ball in the first episode, has started flirting with Jenna, fantasizing about a future wedding and life together.
They were having fun on the “not yacht”, and it seemed like they were the only ones.
Erin and Ubah had a prank game on this trip, but it escalated when Erin hid Ubah’s phone. Ubah was furious!
While it seemed like a trifle issue, Erin didn’t help the situation as she said in her confessional that she felt “intimidated” and “scared”.
Jessel called Erin “The Queen of Assumptions”, and she was spot on. The way Erin described her situation with Ubah made this even clearer.
But Ubah was also wrong for taking her sunglasses off her face.
