guys, the curly hair community NEEDS to start including frizzy hair as a viable option. if your only acceptance of curls is when they're day one, perfectly styled, coated in gel and refreshed each day, then you're just doing the thing where society pressures curly haired people to straighten their hair but in a different flavour. frizzy hair is beautiful and natural! it's not 'gross' or 'untamed' and certainly doesn't make you look like [insert some classist insult here]! very tired of the curly hair posts that essentially say "love your natural hair but only if it's so perfect it might as well have been heat styled and will take up your entire day!" if your movement is supposedly about loving natural hair, then that's gotta include every single form of natural hair.

btw i'm aware that a lot of things in the curly hair community online are actually about taking care of curls correctly, but there's so much pressure to have your curls defined to the max for purely aesthetic reasons that it's ridiculous.
