interesting merch observation!
back in the spring i ordered one of the tour t-shirts from her website (the white one, no text on back) and it was super amazing quality. the softest fabric ever and the print seems to be really excellent quality.
when her store had its cyber monday sale, i decided to get another one because i love it so much and i'm scared of ruining it so i wanted a backup just in case. i'm just comparing them now and they are different!
the one i bought in the spring was made in egypt, and this new one was made in china. both are the same size, but the one made in china is significantly larger - longer by about 2"! and the print quality is different- when i run my hand over it, the texture is really rough, whereas the one made in egypt is almost seamless with the fabric, i can barely feel it. the one made in china is also a very soft thick cotton, but comparing them side by side it's noticeably less nice.
i'm worried about this new one fading in the wash like the ones sold at the stadiums, but i'll just try to be very careful with it. i wonder what the story is behind the differences! probably production costs and demand, but it's a shame that it's a different product.

I SHOULD PLAY IT.” LIKE OUT OF NOWHERE#i will never understand how i dying of pain remembered a game i saw once BY NAME AT LEAST A YEAR LATER when jve heard of so many games#and you wanna know why it stuck with me. i saw in the video an image of the “as if id be reborn as a princess” line#i did not know the context but it was devastating#AND WHEN I PLAYED THE GAME when that scene game i was shocked to silence😭😭 BECAUSE I BASICALLY WENT COMPLETELY BLIND??#I DID NOT KNOW THE LITTLE KID WOULD BE THE ANTAGONIST???? AND THAT HE WOULD HAVE SUCH A SAD STORY??#like. i saw the sad coming i knew it was bound to happen yet i could have never been prepared for how hard it would hit me#I HAD TONS OF FUN but at first when i finished it i was so confused and so lost i was like welll.....what a game... TOO STUNNED FOR WORDS#then i thoughr of it for 20 minutes and bawled my eyes out and realized it was art#so when i got to my second playthrough i CRIED LIKE CRAZYYY😭😭 I WAS BLOWN AWAY IT REALLY HITS YOU#personally it admittedly hit close to home and while it made me bawl my eyes out it was also very comforting i felt very understood#AND IT WAS CRAZY FUN TOO i was not bored once the first time i played through it i was sleepy but i was so excited to keep playing😭😭#its funnt becayse i was initially apprehensive about playing cuz im sensitive to stories where sad things happen to kids#but i played it regardless because i was like “but what if its one of those scary media that hit close to home and i enjoy”#AND I WAS RIGHT. astarion origin playthrough, i've somehow made it to the goblin camp without anyone knowing he's a vamp?
not gonna lie, i'm kinda baffled there seems to only be one scene where you're forced to consider biting your companions? and there's no prompting from the narrator/dialogue to bite people or resist your hunger? in the only origin cutscene i've had, i chose to go after an animal instead of my party because it was literally the first night and it just never got brought up again?
i'm torn between trying to see how long i can keep it a secret vs. wanting to see if i'll get more content and dialogue after confessing.
#i even cheesed it where i killed gandrel before talking to him because otherwise only shadowheart seemed to care about astarion's vampirism#but this man is STARVING#as far as i know he ate a squirrel or something the first night and nothing since#astarion origin spoilers#bg3 spoilers#bg3#astarion#i'm also kinda disappointed by the lack of astarion specific dialogue options?#i have to assume other origin playthroughs are the same#(or worse content wise—given the disparity in cutscene/dialogue screen time between astarion and literally everyone else)#loved that initial 'dream' cutscene with cazador... but kinda bummed it's been the only one#the one thing that has truly delighted me was i forgot i customized the guardian to look like my og bard tav who loved astarion#felt like such a gut punch when astarion said something like 'i feel like i've heard your voice before' and took his hand
