Thoughts on their home life/family

! yk as special reward for everyone who takes the time to read through this i will give u a spoile-y. as a treat. tsurugi was born when a piece of snow came in through a chimney and landed in the fire. and many many miles away, from the stump of the tree that was cut down to be logs for that fire, tsurugi tumbled out of a naturally occurring divot in the wood. this is very true and i just hope u all know the power that comes with this information!!! <333

How i feel about their canonical writing/handling

how... do i not spoil things. u have to have patience with his writing. i promise he is more than like.. manic pixie leftist cop boy. u just have to have patience. boy wears his heart on his sleeve. but also he has a bunch of plastic wrap around it. u can see his heart it is the textbook definition of on his sleeve. but it is obscured and u cannot reach it. every day before i sleep i get on my knees and pray that people have faith in his writing and don't think the way he's written is cringefail.

The one thing i’d want to make canon about them

i cant remember if this factoid has come up but i dont think it has in any posts. tsu's hair is like.... really choppy, if u brushed it out/took a straightener to it to get it all flat, you'd see its alll different lengths. bc he tends to get twigs and sticks and the like stuck in there and just. cuts hair off/"oh this bit is too long! *snip*" a lot. that being said it looks oddly intentional/u cant tell its a million different lengths with how he styles it. he will cry if anyone tries to drag him to a hair stylist.

Anywayz, Gwen Stacy is a transwoman. 2 me. Bc like, , , ,, , the hair being split downtown rh middle like that, the fact that her dimension (at least her house) is all pink white abandoned blue like the trans flag and the fact that she has the trans flag in her room (also in one scene her hair is like. Actually just the trans flag.) So 2 me. She is a trans woman :3

Also the ending pissed me off. Like, , , , bro I gotta wait?!?!? I will wait so patiently!!! But if I'm seeing a movie I want to see the full movie in one sitting. I can't really complain tho bc all the animators had to take their time, and the story will probs be better with the extended run time :3

I hit a gigantic reading slump that I'm not out of around the time I started writing historical fiction and I had read very little of it before that so. Mystery and fantasy favourites it is I guess! Cuckoo Song and The Lie Tree by Frances Hardinge (these are historical fantasy, actually), The Golden Triangle by Maurice Leblanc, A Study In Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle and Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman.

1: sexuality headcanon: hmm I feel like el isn't the type to label her sexuality, I do think she's some sort of sapphic tho <3 I do think her first idea of romance was informed by television tho so there's some unlearning to do. she's a huge romantic. I also really like the idea of her Choosing to be a girl/woman after being reduced to an experiment for so long, whether that be her being a trans woman or a cis woman On Purpose

I do think she's a bit demisexual tho like she'll hang out with a girl for months maybe even years and then suddenly go oh. wait. this is a crush. and promptly freak out about it lol . I think robin is also a bit gender weird! definitely gets more gender nonconforming as time goes on, my baby butch <3

2: otp: robin and vickie <3 that's my endgame couple right there! ive seen a lot of fanon ships for her and some are more intriguing than others for me. buckingham is cute!

3: brotp: hmmm im not sure....lmao obviously stobin they're platonically married and share a mind . I know if nobody got me stobin do . I did really like that she got a friendship with Nancy started tho I dont think they'll ever be Super close. in the Lucas tie in novel she had some really nice interactions with Lucas that made me all <333 I also think she's close with erica!!!

so uhhh i've been iding as a trans guy for two years and the thing is even now i haven't managed to pick a name for myself. i know i don't like my deadname but i keep going through names and even the ones i like none of them feel like they fit after a while ( and worse still there's no one to call me that irl even the few friends, all of them cishet, that i am out to use my deadname ) and i know it takes a while to find a name but (1/2)

the other day i was telling 1 of my friends about how i was thinking of trying another name ( to online friends i've tried 3 names in total, with irl ones i've kept the same one i first used ) and she said 'you can't find one you like because your deadname is your real name' and it's been bothering me so much ever since and i've always been wary of trying out new names because i don't want to bother any of my friends, most of whom bar one are all cis and it's just been bothering me a lot :( (2/2

Second, not all of them might be like her, and your fear might have been conjured by social anxiety. That’s happened to me too, and I found out that my friends just said sure and started using my new name!!!

so ig ill be talking about hunter toh, as hes probably my second favorite character. raine would be my first favorite, but unlike hunter i don't have a lot to say about raine. i love raine a lot, they're so <333. i love how they're like good enby rep and their relationship with eda is so cute. like I LOVE THEM SM <33 raeda makes me so happy whenever i see it! they're just so perfect for each other and i l_{APIKao i love them <3 like they care so much for eda, and like you can see how they feel so guilty seeing how much the curse effects her daily life. THE LOOK THEYRE GIVING HER IN THE LATEST EPISODE PAIN ME. and like in them the breaks i love how they like instantly become friends, its just so <33. they're perfect. i love both raine and eda sm. i don't know why i love them both sm, maybe its bcuz I've rarely ever see someone trans in a relationship in media? idk just ajaks

AND CHARACTER GROWTH. SEEING HIM REALIZE THAT WHAT HE DID WAS WRONG- AND MAKE AMENDS FOR THAT. OLD HUNTER WOULDNT HAVE DONE THAT. and i love how its the pallismen that made him realize it. flapjack has helped him grow as a person, and its just so <33. then.. we have hollow mind. this episode messed me up... me and my bestie watched it together and it is... i was shaking.. it IS. HAEIDKAJUHD HOLLOW MIND. OH MY GOD. SO BASICALLY, HUNTER BEING A GRIMWALKER WAS CONFIRMED. AND I FELT SICK. THAT WAS SICK DANA TERRACE. and like.. hunter getting his whole world shattered. finding out his uncle is an awful person, and that HE KILLED HIS ENTIRE FAMILY. and like i love hollow mind. how they choose to show belos backstory with the pictures makes it so.. ALSO HOW HE TRIED TO KILL HUNTER. LIKE... I THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO DIE! THAT WOULDVE BEEN SO.. DASHIODHAIODH AND THEN AT THE END/? HUNTER HAVING A PANIC ATTACK.O H MY GODDDD. anyways eda handled that amazingly well, giving them space after getting out of belos mind. and im like.. imagine u spend ur whole life following ur uncle for what you belive is a good cause- just to figure out hes actually a witchhunter and killed ur entire family- oh yeah! and you arent a witch, you're this thing called a grimwalker! yeahh i was not okay. LABYRINTH RUNNERS! LOVE IT! it really brings his growth in almost full circle, i loved seeing him and gus friendship ! it was sweet, though he needs a bath :/. but i think a scene that stood out to me was definitely how hunter originally rushed into save gus, AND THE SCENE AT THE ENd where gus is doing trauma vortex, how hunter faces all that just to help gus. i find that sweet, and how he uses the same technique gus taught him during his panic attack to try and calm gus down (and fails horribly, ) also i find it <3 how flapjack was looking for food for hunter...oh yeah and how hunter was researching grimwalkers. ok, one more episode! the most recent- clouds on the horizon.

hii !! <33 u do not need to lurk at all i promise im v friendly<333 but nw! i do understand being uncomfortable w the phrase but it's not like. all ppl who r afab and use they/them, it's intended to be like a subset of the tenderqueer group - it's specifically describing generally transmisogynistic nonbinary people who cling to their afab label - yk the kind of person who will offer up that they are afab w/out any prompting or relevance to the conversation as if it somehow makes them better or more safe than amab trans ppl? the kind of trans person who will bring up ""female socialisation"" and ""male socialisation"" and use it to justify both their transmisogyny and inflated ego? so calling it a slur is quite funny to me bc it's often describing ppl who put down other trans ppl to make themselves seem safer or more palatable? if that makes sense? idk it is v early here so i'm not sure if i'm being super coherent :,)

Guysssss I had the longest and best day everrr 😭 This got sooo long (sleep deprivation YAYYY) so it's under a cut now. Ye be warned

This morning my 10am lecture got out super early so I wandered around a bit and then went to office hours for my ecology prof and she helped me figure out my sources for my final paper, and then we yapped for like an hour :] She had me help her come up w curriculum ideas for her summer class and then we talked about the best japanese restaurants around town and also she gave me a recommendation for a good thai place.... then I went to a bio seminar about archaea in the nitrogen cycle which was REALLY interesting (& I'm not usually into microbio!!!! it was soooo good)

And THEN I was walkin across campus and I noticed a water oak which I needed a new sample of for ecology lab so I was cuttin myself some leafs and then I turned around saw one of my besties STARIN ME DOWN.... which was very funny bc just the other day I was tellin him about how I sometimes wonder what other people think when they see me stop in front of a tree and stare at its leaves for several minutes LOL he got to watch it firsthand...... and then I got to use the field guide he gave me last week to confirm it was the right tree and then we saw another friend and yapped and it was beautiful

And THENNNN I continued my journey to the music building where I met up with two of my friends and then we went to the gochey store to get stuff for the trans potluck I've been planning for the last few weeks.... It was cold in thar so I let one of my friends borrow my flannel #BUTCH WIN and I bought some lunch YIPPEE and then we went back to campus to set up for the potluck and I made signs and they turned out SO CUTE

And then we actually HAD the potluck and the turnout was really nice (20 people I think!) and I got a little emotional and we made a thank you card for the building director for letting us host it in the fine arts building cause he's the sweetest most supportive man ever WAUGH. The food was really good too and one of my friends took some of our leftovers to food not bombs downtown ^_^ <333

And then I went to a BASEBALL GAMEEEE with my school jazz band and it was so so fun and everything was SO overpriced but I got bavarian nuts and the friend who drove me there bought me dippin dots and I bought us both pins of the team mascot cause she collects pins on her work apron so now we're pin twinsss... and I got to joke around a bunch with two of the guys from the rhythm section who are both so cool and fun but I never get to hang out with so it was GREAT. And then we WON THE GAMEEEEEE and then my friend and I almost got horribly lost on the way home (wound up goin the wrong way on a one way street in the dark. Oopsie!) but we SURVIVED and we got to gossip a lil and I got to infodump about longleaf pines :]

And now I'm SO SO TIRED like physically to the point where I can barely walk #oops and will likely be bedridden tomorrow #whoops but it was WORTH IT because today was so beautiful and I love everyone in the world 😭 GOODNIGHT BEAUTIFUL FRIENDS AND HANDSOME STRANGERS MWAH

PS also I had the dykiest fit ever and I felt soo hot all day. I might post pics tomorrow if I can find any yaaaaay ok NOW goodnight MWAH

nonbinary ppl be outing themselves to friends and family via zoom pronouns

#my bestie works for a nonprofit that holds zoom workshops/sessions for 'healing'#that she asks me to join occasionally to boost the attendance #and a while ago i joined one of these and they wanted pronouns so i was like fuck it. she/they #and afterwards said bestie texted me like. 'omg pronouns!!!' (or smth to that effect)#and then like a week later texted me and told me THEY were a she/they TOO #and just NOW #i joined another one of these zoom workshops #scrolled down the attendee list and found out that bestie's BF goes by he/they #hashtagblessed to have solely trans/nb friends <333 #love this for us #anyways. theres someone on my laptop screen rn warning us of the potential side effects of the healing sound bath shes about to give us #i muted somewhere after 'hearing voices in your head' and 'feeling hot all over your body'#idk about you but that does not sound like a fun healing bath to me!!
