TODAY IN PHILOSOPHY OF HISTORY
Karl Lamprecht and Intimations of Interdisciplinarity
Sunday 25 February 2024 is the 168th anniversary of the birth of Karl Gotthard Lamprecht (25 February 1856 – 10 May 1915), who was born in Jessen in Saxony on this date in 1856.
Lamprecht pioneered many ideas that would later become commonplace in history, but which in his time were not yet welcome: cultural history, social history, interdisciplinary history, history of civilization, mentalities, psychological forces, and so on. Lamprecht’s clashes with other historians over methodology resulted in his marginalization in Germany, but his influence was felt in France, Belgium, and the US.

More Sould for a Hot dog (title work in progress, i need to find a pun).
It's Tobbe, Vendor, and all main customers lineup!
More info under read more!
In order:
Tobbe: mid/late twenties trans man stuck in his small home town, all his friends have left for studies and careers but he himself hasnt really found....anything at all. He's laid back and open minded, and incredibly stubborn.
The Vendor: Owner of the hot dog stand, age unknown. Is genuinely a really good cook, and seems to both enjoy and be good at talking to people- if he deem them worthy. Has an unfortunate knack for emotional manipulation. He has. Issues.
Huldra: A local activist who visits the stand not to get food, but to get away from people constantly asking for her attention. Has STRONG principles about justice, and is equally liked and disliked in the town.
Witch gangleader: The leader of a biker gang of witches, she was one of the Vendors earliest deals. Now she controls her gang with an iron fist, and often tries to test the Vendor.
Witches 1 and 2 (names pending): They are two members of the gang who joined because they don't really have anywhere else to go. They met there, and instantly became inseparable. They have different feelings on loyalty to the group, but towards each other their commitment is unquestionable.
Troll: Just a guy having a hard time as they are trying to hide their identity as a troll, but at the price of their own well being, something that is creating a divide in their relationship.
Vitter-man: A man who willingly got lost in a herd of otherwordly cattle, to wander the underworld forever.

An important aspect of youth liberation is not tying the idea of later adult care with having children.
The broader attitude that only your children can ensure that you get taken care of when you grow old is not a good precedent to set. Having children should not be what ensures that you can live through old age, and fear mongering people with the idea that nobody will ever take care of them (or, rather, shouldn't) is such an awful motivator to have children.
