Regarding the Simulacra

I’m writing a new post to inform and warn potential visitors to our dimension about these strange entities known as the simulacra. While we don’t know exactly where they came from nor do we know how they entirely function, we now know that they can be potentially dangerous to interact with. As always, everything will be in the read more below!

The Simulacra (singular simulacrum) are entities that are described as “copies”/“echos” of people long since deceased. While they are not really ghosts per say as they’re not spiritual entities, their existence is akin to saving a new but corrupted instance of an older document.

They appear to be glitching, with their bodies occasionally convulsing as their appearance becomes horrifically twisted in physically impossible ways and/or flipping through different appearances of an individual throughout their lifetime. Additionally, their voices are next to impossible to understand, often reported as being garbled and overlayed by harsh static (though it seems that people who have had multiple close encounters with them can somewhat hear them better than most).

The simulacra typically keep their distance and are more likely to vanish in an instant or flee into the walls when spotted by an observer. However, there are some instances where they have attacked or touched people before disappearing. Here’s a list of symptoms that follow direct contact with or an attack from a simulacra:

Severe, debilitating pain that is described as shooting, stabbing, burning, or as an electrical shock. Can be evoked or spontaneous.

Sensitivity to physical stimuli at the sight of direct contact

Numbness/Prickling sensation at the sight of direct contact

Weakness/Difficulty with movement

Disturbed Sleeping

Nightmares/Night Terrors

Brief, sudden auditory and visual hallucinations/visions of distressing scenes that often precede pain episodes. In some cases, olfactory and/or tactile hallucinations are also reported with these as well.

In conjunction with this, those who find themselves being repeatedly visited by or constantly interacting with these entities over a long period of time (typically over a week) often report mental distress and somatic symptoms. This makes studying them difficult due to said negative effects. Here are some of the known effects of regularly interacting with these beings:

Sleeping too much or too little

Nightmares/Night terrors

Social withdrawal/Avoidance of loved ones

Unexplained Headaches or Stomach Pains

Sudden crying spells or bursts of anger

Chronic Fatigue

Changes in eating habits

Intense and obsessive desires to continue interactions with the Simulacra

That is all for now. I’m sure I will have to update this when we know more about these beings but for now, I recommend that you avoid these entities whenever possible. Do not allow yourself to get into direct contact with them as they can cause severe, debilitating nerve damage and psychological trauma. While it’s unlikely that anyone visiting our dimension will experience the effects of repeat interactions with them, we still want to avoid any potential harm you might face in dealing with the Simulacra.

At this time, we have not found a way to defend against them as attacking them with our own weapons seems to do little to harm them and it will provoke them into attacking back or constantly following you around for weeks. We don’t know how to protect ourselves from them yet. Dr. Mason is attempting to establish communication with them to try discern what they’re trying to tell us but it seems that it has done more harm to him in the long run…

Avoid contact or interaction at all costs.

Christine McVie Dead at 79

- “She was the best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life,” Fleetwood Mac says

Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie has died “following a short illness,” her family said in a statement.

McVie died Nov. 30 in a hospital with her family nearby. She was 79.

“We would like everyone to keep Christine in their hearts and remember the life of an incredible human being, and revered musician who was loved universally,” McVie’s family said.

“Gutted to learn about the passing of Christine McVie,” Garbage said in a statement. “Just gutted. Songbird forever.”

“This is so unbelievably sad,” Foghat wrote on Facebook. “RIP, Christine McVie. Such a beautiful soul.”

Born Christine Perfect, the singer/songwriter/keyboardist played first with Chicken Shack. She joined Fleetwood Mac after contributing to 1970’s Kiln House and was the band’s third-longest-serving member after Mick Fleetwood and her ex-husband John McVie.

“We cherished Christine deeply, the band said in a statement.

“She was truly one-of-a-kind, special and talented beyond measure,” Fleetwood Mac said. “She was the best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life.”

McVie played alongside every member of Fleetwood Mac save for Peter Green and appeared on all but four of the band’s 18 studio albums.

Living Colour’s Vernon Reid eulogized McVie as his second-favorite Mac member after Green and quoted her lyrics to “You Make Loving Fun” as some of her best.

“No other voice … captured that feeling of the narcotic stage of love better than Christine McVie,” Reid said.

“What a tremendous loss to the music community,” Bret Michaels said on Twitter. “My deepest condolences to the family, friends and fans of Christine McVie.”

She recorded three solo albums between 1970 and 2004 and released a 2017 duo album with Lindsey Buckingham that was followed by a tour.

Her death is “terribly heartbreaking” and an “enormous loss,” Ron Sexsmith wrote on Twitter.

“She wrote my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs and I also loved her solo work,” he said.

Several different simulacra were reported at work today.

Kane tells me that based on the descriptions (how ever mangled their appearances were), the simulacra of several former S.T.A.R.s members just started to appear on the premises.

Dr. Mason is feverishly attempting to establish contact with them right now. I already had experience with one in particular, one who l recognized as Dr. Rebecca Chambers (fun fact: I read some of her work regarding the development of the A-Virus vaccine and took a lot of pivotal information from it, especially when I had to make my own vaccines myself).

The experience went something like this: I was returning to my office after attending to a routine daily checkup for Pax to write up a report. My office usually remains locked when I’m not in there and it requires a key card to get in. I unlock the door only to see Dr. Chambers (or the simulacrum of her…) inside, reading some of my own documentation on the NH Virus and it’s respective vaccines.

I watch her read my findings for a moment, unsure if I should approach or say something to her… That is until her attention startlingly snaps towards me. I froze, not sure what she’d do. We both stare at each other for what felt like hours. I felt like her eyeless gaze was searing right into me… until she blinked out of existence, dropping the documents onto the floor..

Apparently I’m not the only person that something like this happened to. If anything I think I got a relatively tame experience compared to some of my colleagues… maybe I’ll share some later when I’m less busy.
