Bieng a girl: A task?

"Is it really hard to dare to dream and truly living on your own terms?" That is the question that all the women have on their minds in some point of their lives. But the thing is, this question is often ignored as we keep up with the pace of the world.

That is were the people who call themselves "feminists" come up. Who fight for the rights of women. But the question that really needs to be asked is that shouldn't anyone be a humanist rather than a femisnist. That is the most ideal scenario a person might end up in. Just think about it - feminism is a movement that seeks to define, establish and achieve qual political, economic, cultural, personal and social rights for women. A feminist is a person who believes in this movement. The thing is having equal rights is the key. So the overall upliftment of the human race in general should be the goal. Another common misconception is that all the women are feminists. Think about a mothers that treat sons better than daughters. Are they feminists? Women who judge other working women for not being good mothers. Are they feminist?

Often in India, there is a huge category of people who want to carve out lives for their daughter, sister, wives, etc. They often have to decide to just between catering their family and children and having a good career! The most infuriating thing is that they have too choose. Some of them simply dont have option too! "Having a career while being a good mother is not practically possible" is what people often thing. Because they have to be away from the kids because of long working hours. The problem lies within. This world was designed by men. They decides the office timmings, 9 to 5. Women weren"t in the workforce then. They are now. These office timmings work well for all the men. Not for the mothers for instance!

The world has seldom been fair on women, but the thing is there is need of collective effort and a right thought is necessary! And above all being a "HUMANIST" is important above all.

Love empowers us to live fully and die well. Death becomes, then, not an end to life but a part of living.
