unpopular opinion: not all fannibals like saltburn.

1. Are you named after anyone?
Kinda! I was supposed to be born a boy, and absolutely nothing was prepared for me when I turned out to be female. And mom went "I like my sister's name" and named me that. (This caused a lot of drama.) So I wasn't named after her per se but....
I ... I was almost a Peter.
2. When was the last time you cried?
Few weeks ago.
3. Do you have kids?
4. What sports do you play/ have you played?
None tbh other than what I was forced to in school. Oh. OH WAIT SWIMMING IS A SPORT. Okay. Yeah. I did a lot of that. I just, uh, never view it that way?
5. Do you use sarcasm?
... having a small crisis upon the realization that I rarely do these days. god what happened to me I was such a sarcastic little demon I'm all EARNEST now
6. What's the first thing you notice about people?
Hair. Weird thing, right? Mostly because I'm always impressed by how people can keep their hair tamed. (me, with curly hair: [despair]) Followed quickly by body language.
7. What's your eye colour?
Brown! I'm told it looks green up close but ehhhh. (doubt)
8. Scary movies or happy endings?
Scary movies! Or, you know, scary movies with (relative) happy endings are also good!
9. Any talents?
I have a knack for detecting accents/identifying languages and having a general, if not specific, idea of where people are from. I also have a scarily good aim. (though my form is atrocious and under no circumstances should ever be mimicked)
I'm also a pretty decent cook! Bit hit or miss as a baker, though.
10. Where were you born?
Venezuela!
11. What are your hobbies?
Writing, gaming, reading, cooking, being a lil' nerdy about Disney comics and Disney history overall. Obsessively analyzing data.
12. Do you have any pets?
I point you upwards! Big one is Jupiter (ASH) and the small one is Saturn (Russian Blue). Both of them are about 13 years old.
13. How tall are you?
5'2... and a half. (It counts!) [158cm]
14. Favourite subject in school?
English, since it gave me an excuse to read and tune out everything else lmao. (I was often bullied, or, I guess, attempted, once I got into a book you could scream in my ear and I was full Helen Keller. Who? What? Don't care.) ♥ Depending on the teacher, I also really liked history and science! Basically, as long as I don't have to do math and the teacher wasn't a bitter monster, I enjoyed the subject.
15. Dream job?
Ethnologist! Oh my god, I'd be so delighted to get to nerd out like that! ♥ With the rise of various internet cultures I think, more than ever, we could really use more of them around. It's such an interesting thing to do to be able to delve in order to contrast and compare, to find links and reasons for variances, commonalities, schisms--all of them. There's so much data available online, and it paints such a colorful, and sometimes tragic, implications that extend far into our burgeoning global identity and--

1. Are you named after anyone?
The first and middle name on my birth certificate are the names of queens.
2. When was the last time you cried?
I honestly don't remember. Months at least.
3. Do you have kids?
Nope.
4. What sports do you play/ have you played?
Technically? Dance/tap as a tiny thing, softball/baseball as a less tiny thing. Not very long for either because I'm not physically very gifted. I never got the hang of wakeboarding but I kept trying for while there.
5. Do you use sarcasm?
Frequently.
6. What's the first thing you notice about people?
If they are outwardly a nerd. I seek out my people.
7. What's your eye colour?
Blue-gray.
8. Scary movies or happy endings?
Happy endings. I only watch scary movies if i I can laugh at them.
9. Any talents?
I'm told I'm really funny. Doesn't always translate well online, and I can't write a comedic story to save my life, but I can speak funny words, I promise.
10. Where were you born?
San Francisco Bay Area, California, where I've lived all my life.
11. What are your hobbies?
Writing and reading mostly these days. Trying to draw more too. Sewing has been difficult with my health but cosplaying and going to conventions too. Also Dungeons and Dragons/tabletop roleplaying games, video games... uhhhhhh I used to sing more but haven't been doing a lot of that, same with hiking.
12. Do you have any pets?
A cat, my orange and white boy named Peter Parker. I didn't pick the name, and I don't think he even knows it because we always just call him "kitty" or "cat".
13. How tall are you?
5' 6.5", or 169cm which is, ironically, the same as both the people who tagged me
14. Favourite subject in school?
The part of school where I got to sit on my own and quietly read my books. And also history, I guess.
15. Dream job?

sooo... i love to know what others fannibals associate with will and hannibal, so my question is: do you have any useless headcanons for them?
okay okay okay
so i’ve done an ask like this before (x) but i’m using u as a opportunity to do even more (and project some more hehe)
- hannibal shows love through acts of service and gift giving
- he draws will alll the time and does little portrait of him and their dogs as gifts
- hannibal receives love through words of affirmation (i am a hannibal praise kink truther)
- will shows love through quality time n also acts of service (he eventually learns that hannibal dies every single time he compliments him)
- will receives love through quality time and physical touch (quality time bc he just like me and hates being around other people unless it’s his one specific person)
- will is the minecraft player that mines and builds the house and collects and hannibal is the minecraft player that collects flowers and explores and decorates the house
- hannibal signs his name at the end of texts (like “Sincerely, Dr. Hannibal Lecter”) he does this at the end of EVERY text
- will gets attached to random inanimate objects and doesn’t want to hurt their feelings
- ^ he’ll go to store and see a sad broken lamp on sale and have to take it home and fix it because he feels so bad and it looks sad (inspired by that squishmallow post)
- hannibal has a special interest in art and arts history as well as cooking (he do he autistic fr)
- ^ Will will let him info dump about it for as long as he wants and will let hannibal take him to art museums just to see him gush about it
- hannibal researches wills special interests so they can have long discussions about then
- hannibal is pansexual and literally does not care about gender (agender) (he also wouldn’t use the label pansexual bc he does not care at all)

Current Hyperfixation on (and Amplexations of) Hannibal and its Metaphors
(A note, before reading. Please excuse my wordy and cringe style. This is what it sounded like in my head, and in a passage on introspection I decided it more emotionally honest to leave it as such. I read a lot of old books. My apologies, it will happen again.)
Part One, Introspection
Lately, I have resumed my on-again-off-again hyper fixation with the show Hannibal. On Tumblr, we are in good company for this.
There are many reasons to hyper-fixate on the show Hannibal as a fan, the complexity of the characters both on their own and in relation to each other, it's signature visually striking and artistic cinematography and dark and atmospheric visuals, and its various symbolic elements that leave room for interpretation, leading fans to engage in discussions and theories about the hidden meanings and motives within the narrative.
But why this time?
I am not old, but nor am I young. I came into the world in 1981.(The same year as the novel Red Dragon, if you will allow me to nerd about it.) I am routinely mistaken for someone in my thirties. The twenties even, if I am in a slim phase and play up my femininity. But I am not either. I am 42. A lot of people close to me have died lately. My elders of natural causes and way too many friends in deaths of despair. And of course, the planet is on fire. It causes one to feel the clock ticking on their mortality. And I am seized with this profound desire to know myself fully, the good and the bad, before I run out of time.
I've gone to professionals and friends, taken assessments, been prescribed medications, and seen therapists that delved into my family's histories of addiction, mental illness, abuse, and neglect. I've scored positive for autism, slightly lower for dark triads, gender dysphoria, etc. I've seen many kinds of professionals, all with wildly different perspectives on what is going on with me. And I have run out of options with the insurance I have before I could come to any conclusions.
A friend of mine from my past who shares some of these issues and is in a better place in his life than he ever has been reached out to me. We began to discuss my journey. He asked me why I was trying so hard to find a label or a hard and fast answer. He supported my self-exploration but put to me the question, to what end? Why could I not see myself simply as me for what I am without picking apart all these tiny elements?
What I explained to him was not that I needed a label to sum me up. I have no desire to pick the feature which describes me best and call myself that thing, but rather to blow up all these elements out into my field of vision like stars. To look at them, to make note of their constellations, to zoom in on certain stars and zoom out and see where they fit in my own personal galaxy and what and where my fractures are, so I can move on. I just hope when I'm done driving myself mad to find my true self, that all these shattered elements come back together neatly.
AHH, there's the metaphor!
And if you're a Fannibal, I need not explain what it is, and you'll understand without question how I find myself like the prodigal AFAB son coming home to the fictional world of Bryan Fuller's Chesapeake Bay area. (Known in our world as the Washington–Baltimore–Arlington, DC–MD–VA–WV–PA Combined Statistical Area) And following Will's journey like another stray dog, ever-present but helpless to intervene and just happy to have found a place here.

Fannibal Chronicles: The age of Cancellation
Hello, Fannibals! Happy #22MonthsAreOver day to you all!
This important day calls for celebration and to celebrate I would love to introduce you this new project!
You can read more about it HERE!
But shortly - it’s a chronicle which main goal is to map evolution of our fandom during time after the Hannibal Cancelation. After S4 happen, I’ll print it, get an ISBN for it and put it into some libraries (and Fannibals’ shelfs)!

People who say Will and Hannibal's feelings for each other are platonic are just homophobic. People who say they have a father/son relationship or are just "close friends" are homophobic. There is absolutely no reason someone would look at and listen to them all three seasons, and then honest to God say they are platonic, unless they're homophobic.
Lgbtq people have been erased all throughout history, lgbtq couples have had their relationships erased and had "just friends" slapped over them as a way to erase them.
Lgbtq get very, very little representation. And when we do get some, people still try to erase it and come up with excuses for why it isn't actually lgbtq representation.
Hannibal expressed his love for Will on so many different occasions, very clearly. Will literally asks Bedelia straightforwardly "is Hannibal in love with me?" to which she confirms it. They talk about being fathers together to Abigail, running away together, having their very essence blurring together. Hannibal kills a man who gave sexual advances towards him, who looked similar enough to Will, and he shaped his body into a heart and left it for Will to find. He gave Will his broken heart. He literally turned himself in because Will rejected him. And Will threw them off a cliff because he couldn't live without Hannibal.
Anyone who looks at that and says they are completely platonic and straight, is purposefully being ignorant (unless its with someone who genuinely struggles with interpreting social interaction, and even then they still have the opportunity to learn and acknowledge that thats not whats happening.)
Even if it doesn't seems like a big deal to some people, it still is because its part of a bigger issue, lgbtq erasure and erasing lgbtq couples and their relationships validity and existence.
So if youre going to say things like that, I, and many other lgbtq people, are going to assume youre homophobic. Because you probably are.
Stop erasing lgbtq representation. We already get so little.
