We’ll be right here - waiting...
We always knew there will be more Hannibal. We only didn’t know when...
Since this tweet and many interviews which came after we knew that conversations couldn’t start until 2 years pass off:
And when 22 moths were over, Bryan told us they are working on it! The excitement was so big that even today new articles about that are releasing!
And then, the time got more concrete shape when we got a number of years - long years to wait, but now we know WHEN! And I can assure you that Fannibals will turn the waiting into very exciting time!
Also, do you remember who else mentioned 4 to 5 years while talking about Hannibal Season 4? ;-)
Sooo, we will wait, live and thrive... And then we will be rewarded :-)

Hannibal Rewatch 1x01 “Aperitif”
Hello friends and fannibals.
For some time I’ve been considering doing a rewatch of the NBC Hannibal TV series, especially since I received the complete series on Blu Ray for my birthday six months ago.
And so I decided I’ll also chronicle my thoughts as once again experience this program. I do not have a computer that handles blu rays, so I will not be able to provide screencaps. These will not be liveblogs in that I’ll make a new post with every thought/observation. Just one post for each episode that will be my jotting down musings as I watch.
So, without further ado.

I forgot we have dry-look Hannibal in this ep. Weird. And a little stubbly...

And suddenly Hannibal and Will are talking about taste, and tasty thoughts and SUBTLE.

“I don’t find you that interesting.” How DARE you, Will! He made you cannibal breakfast and you hurt his feelings like that!? He also gift-wrapped a crime scene for you. And you’re his little mongoose. Will, you don’t know it, but you’re done. You can try and be tsundere, but it’s all over.
Well, if you’re gonna be a cannibal, you might as well be courteous. Especially to other cannibals.
Hannibal: We have both had a hand in stopping her bleeding. She is our daughter now, Will. Later at the hospital; Will: Well, fuck, guess we have a daughter now.
Also, I love how much larger Mads’ hands are, much better to stop the bleeding in a slit throat.
And that’s the end of episode one! Time to pause and watch Chopped, then I’ll see if I feel like watching episode two before the night is out.

Hannibal Factoid
Whilst reading a brilliant book called ‘The Hannibal File’ by Daniel O’Brien (2008) I came across a few interesting pieces of information. The book is about is all about the Lector book and film series and how they came to be.
The last chapter concerns the final film & book ‘Hannibal Rising’. When it came to deciding who would play the young Hannibal one of the candidates was our very own Will Graham, Hugh Dancy. No wonder he is the perfect partner for our favourite cannibal
This is the last paragraph of the book...
“While there’s a considerable gap between the ending of Hannibal Rising and the start of Red Dragon, further adventures of the young or mature or middle-aged Lector seems unnecessary. According to rumour, Thomas Harris plans to supply them anyway, chronicling Hannibal’s bloody exploits up until his arrest by Will Graham. Perhaps it’s best to leave Doctor Lector alone now. As Harris suggests at the end of Hannibal, ‘We can only learn so much and live.’”
I think all us Fannibals can easily say that Bryan Fuller and the cast of Hannibal have done an amazing job with the series so far and managed to breathe new life into an already incredible set of characters. Let’s hope someone out their will rise to the challenge and #SaveHannibal!

Is the 4th season coming?
The hope for S4 is certainly alive and well! Personally, I’m very optimistic. Bryan Fuller, Hugh Dancy, & Mads Mikkelsen have all repeatedly declared their dedication and willingness to revisit another season (or more?) of Hannibal— so as far as the interest of the cast goes, we’re (beyond) set.
Bryan has also mentioned that, in his mind, there is more to be told of this story and that he has plenty of ideas about where it could be headed (though the S3 finale could easily be read as a series finale, if need be).
However, the main issue lies in certain legal issues involving some of Thomas Harris’ characters and who Bryan can actually utilize in his version of events. Because of streaming rights w/ Amazon, we are unable to move forward with any other company (such as Netflix or Hulu— it’s important to let these guys know that the Fannibals are hungry for more).
If I had time I’d dig up some interview excerpts to make this more interesting, but I’m a little busy at the moment! Fear not: @existingcharactersdiehorribly is a great source in my opinion and holds a Meat is Back on the Menu countdown chronicling when the discussion for S4 can really begin.

Fannibal Chronicles: The age of Cancellation
Hello, Fannibals! Happy #22MonthsAreOver day to you all!
This important day calls for celebration and to celebrate I would love to introduce you this new project!
You can read more about it HERE!
But shortly - it’s a chronicle which main goal is to map evolution of our fandom during time after the Hannibal Cancelation. After S4 happen, I’ll print it, get an ISBN for it and put it into some libraries (and Fannibals’ shelfs)!
Till then, you can help by sending me links to / dates of / info about all events which influenced our fandom!

Thanks to things like that, the fandom stick together even tighter and we can learn from our past to avoid simmilar problems in future. I promise these things won’t mention any Fannibal by their name and will be described with care. All of that always brought us more love in the end - and that’s what matters! <3

For a Fannibal meetup, you are referring only to large group meetings, correct? Because, I have met Fannibals one on one so that wouldn't count correct?
Hi and thank you for your question! :-) If you meet with your (online) friend who is also a Fannibal, then it’s awesome but not for the Chronicle, because it’s a personal event. But if people meet each other because they are Fannibals, wear flowercrown, do something Hannibal-related or so, then it most likely belongs in the chronicle. It still can be only 2 people meetup, though :-) So if you aren’t sure, just go ahed and send me date, some info about the meetup and links to internet posts if there are any - I’ll look on it and let you know if it will or will not be in the Chronicle
