A/N: I made an exception and did a fem!reader one since it was requested like that. I will eventually upload a gn!reader version

P.S.: I decided to split the request into 3 because I wanted to post something since it’s taking longer than promised :’)

Summary: Kurt has a crush on one of the best fighters in the institute, but doesn’t know how to approach the situation. Thank goodness that Peter and his friends are there to support him.

“I did not get my ass whooped.” Scott walked between Jean and Kurt, trying to defend himself from Jean’s accusations.

“Of course not. How could you ever? We all know how strong the great Scott Summers is.” Scott would have felt flattered by such a response if it weren’t for the sarcasm behind her words.

“Yeah, yeah. Keep making fun of me. As if you had done it better,” he said eyeing the ice pack Jean pressed to her shoulder, only gaining a slight strong nudge on his bruised arm.

Kurt couldn’t help but snicker at their bickering. They had been on it since their last class. The topic had been self-defence. The catch: The use of powers was strictly prohibited. This type of class had become more frequent since the rumours of a new power suppressant circulating in the black market started. The professor wanted all students to be able to defend themselves, with and without powers.

“You sure can laugh,” Scott glanced at Kurt. “We aren’t allowed to use our powers, but you still can use your tail to fight.”

Kurt smiled proudly and swung his tail from side to side, mocking him even further.

“These classes are stupid. I have literal lasers for eyes. I can fry anyone even miles away from me. Why should I train in close combat if no one can get close to me anyway?” Scott let himself fall on the couch, resting his feet on the table in front of him. Jean already knew it was his frustration talking. They all had been lectured enough to understand why such classes were necessary.

Jean followed Scott’s lead and made herself comfortable beside him. Kurt leaned against the armrest of the couch.

“He indeed has an advantage, but I wasn’t expecting him to be that good.” She directed her eyes toward Kurt “You put up a pretty good fight against her, considering she is top of the class,” said Jean approvingly.

Kurt’s eyes suddenly lit up, and he turned toward them.

It was clear to him who she was talking about.

You hadn’t been in the institute for long but you managed to make a name for yourself right away. You hadn’t lost a spar in the self-defence class until now, making you one of the strongest fighters in the class.

“But how come she’s so strong? Does she have enhanced strength or something?” asked Scott raising an eyebrow.

“No. Her power is to transform drawings into solid objects,” Kurt responded.

Jean nodded and added, “I saw one of the spars she had with an older student. She pulled out a literal sword from the tattoo on her arm and beat his ass right in front of everyone. But do you know why she really is so strong?” Scott looked up at Jean’s questions with expectancy. “It’s because she is not a couch potato. Unlike you, Scott”

Scott threw a pillow at her, which she quickly stopped with her telekinetic powers.

The conversation went on with more complaints and remarks about the self-defence classes.

Kurt's mind drifted away, thinking of today’s class. More specifically the spar you had with him.

The first time he met you was in the self-defence class where he has been witness to your many wins. He has seen how graciously you can move and how powerful every single punch of yours is.

His admiration for you grew further and further from that day on. Not only because of your abilities but also because you remained humble and kind instead of letting your accomplishments get to your head. You were someone Kurt looked up to because you didn’t simply knock your opponent down. You gave hints and advice on what the correct stance is, how to throw a proper punch and so on. After every spar, you helped your opponent up and cheered them up like a football team’s coach would do. And you did exactly the same thing with Kurt after sparring with him.

He had lasted longer than the majority of the students you had gone against, but you still managed to make him eat dust. He lay on the ground as you approached to lend a hand. Kurt noticed your hand and was about to accept your help, but then hesitated. He was sure you would feel uncomfortable, considering Kurt’s unusual handshape. But to his surprise, you grabbed his hand and pulled him onto his feet. He felt his cheek burn when he noticed the short distance you had between each other, but you kept your grip on his hand. The words you said stuck to Kurt like glue: “That was amazing. Just as expected. We have to repeat this sometime soon”. That along with your beautiful, bright smile made his heart beat unusually fast.

“Earth to lover boy, are you listening?”

Kurt turned his head toward Scott and Jean. Both were staring at him with sneaky smiles on their faces.

“Entschuldigung?”, asked Kurt clearly confused.

Jean and Scott exchanged glances in amusement.

“You’ve been smiling like an idiot since we mentioned her”, Jean said raising her eyebrows.

Kurt felt his cheeks grow hotter. “Oh, I was thinking of- you know, class- I mean-”

“Dude, it’s so clear you have a crush on her. You drool every time she is near,” Scott said rolling his eyes.

“It’s not like-”

“You have a crush on her” Kurt yelped at the sudden presence behind him, teleporting onto the spot between Jean and Scott on the couch on reflex. “Like, totally obvious” Quicksilver took a long sip from his apple juice, only to look disgusted at it. “What’s the expiration date on this?”

“I didn’t- I didn’t realise.” Kurt looked worryingly at Peter. “Do you think she noticed? Oh no, what if I weirded her out?”

“Well, only one way to find out.”

Everyone stared at Peter expectantly as he sipped his juice with risen eyebrows.

Mako runs past Azazel in the crowded streets, swiping his wallet and headed straight for the aquarium. Her white, matted, dirty hair makes her stick out in the crowd but she's small enough that most people don't even notice. She even knows to follow a family with kids her age into the aquarium before immediately splitting off and going towards the tanks where you can pet the sea life

'Let's get this over with.'

On today's job : Take out a specific mutant target in the middle of a busy street.

While it wasn't an unusual request, it didn't change the fact that he has always felt uncomfortable walking in crowds. Apart from the obvious reason, it came with its fair share of issues : Too many unfamiliar faces popping in at once then disappearing out of his field of vision. Too many different noises and voice pitches condensing into one incoherent gibberish. Too many smells of various degrees, from strong to mild, from nauseating to plain weird, making it the most confusing scent cocktail. None of these, however, were really the reason why he wanted to get this job done as quickly as possible and move on to some better place.

No, the main reason, and objectively worst part of it all, was that this had to be in Florida. The fabled trickster God's playground. The land where the press hunts for crimes that will inevitably become famous out of state.

If he was going to do this right, there could be no mistakes, and everything had to pass under the press' radars as the most mundane event of the day.

According to his investigation, his target at this time of the day was far ahead of the street he was striding through. He would do it swiftly, then switch his target's wallet with the 'fake' one in his back pocket to hide who truly 'unexpectedly passed away' today. It was an ordinary wallet with all things considered : It had an ID, emergency contact details, a medical insurance card, bills and change totaling 100$, ... The only notable detail about it is that it couldn't possibly be his own.

He made himself as unassuming as humanly possible in the crowd while some bystanders walked closeby, some skipped behind him, some just ran past like it wasn't 97°F, ... Children never seemed phased by this kind of weather until it was too late.

'If I'm not careful enough, I might accidentally step on a kid if most wander off from their parents like this one...'

Strangely enough, he felt... Lighter. Reflexively, he patted over the inside pocket of his jacket before moving to his pants'...

And realizing the fake wallet was gone.

He abruptly stopped on his tracks, causing an old lady to dump into him and nearly fall over if he hadn't caught her at the last second and brought her back to her feet. "Oh my! Thank you, Dear. But don't worry about little old me and go follow your daughter before she gets lost. She looked so excited to go to the aquarium ! She tripped a few times to catch up with you but always got up like a champ ! "

His mind momentarily found itself stuck on the daughter part of her sentence before suddenly understanding what actually went down a few seconds ago.

Being pickpocketed by a child should have been the least surprising thing to happen to him in Florida, yet here he was. Absolutely dumbfounded by the absurdity of the situation.

He found himself simply nodding to the old lady then left without a word. He reached the Florida Aquarium in less than 5 minutes after finally getting out of the busy street.

Seeing no trace of the strange white-haired girl, he walked past the big Devil Ray statue, got to the counter and paid the entrance fee with the money from his wallet. He went in and started looking around for the little thief.

'She hasn't been there for long so she couldn't have wandered off that far. Now, where would a small child go in such a big-...'

As if to answer, a map of the place suddenly faced him.

'... Of course.'

When he reached the aquarium's Petting Zoo, he took a quick look around, trying to spot any usual white hair among the young visitors until...

'There she is... At the corner of the tank with the most rays.'

She didn't seem to notice him when he finally approached her. "No use running, Missy. You don't look like some vicious hellion so I won't involve any kind of institution into this : From experience, these make a mountain out of a molehill and don't even get at the bottom of the issue at the end of the day." He said matter-of-factly. "I just want my wallet back."

Marvel Infinity Comics Love Unlimited #43

*Spoilers*

The issue starts with Gwenpool on Krakoa, instigating her own “meet-cute” with recently revived Wither, while talking about Romance Tropes. (Basically think about it like if every Mindy Kaling show was a comic book plotline…. 😂🤣)

They get to talking about plants (Gwen remembered he was into Gardening and Art from NXM!) and they plan to meet up for dinner so Kevin can help her with her garden!

(For people who don’t know- Gwenpool is a character used to parody and commentate on Comic book Tropes- she’s essentially a real person who has been sucked into the comic verse…)

We find out Gwen has “main character syndrome” and has decided what she really needs to up her recognition is a love interest…and apparently Gwen is also a hardcore NXM fan and LOVES Wither! (So do we Gwen…so do we!)

Gwen tries to look into the future via the web/breaking the fourth wall and sees various web info on COVID and on herself…mainly negative commentary on how she’s a derivative copy of Deadpool (we do LOVE you on TUMBLR Gwen!!); also we find out Gwen has been in the Marvel verse for 8 years now…and is kind of still bitter about her book getting cancelled (understandable!)!

We find out Gwen was also a huge Rogue/Gambit shipper growing up (honestly…same…just don’t read the most recent comic book Gwen! 😂🤣🤣)and wants to copy the will they/won’t they- “we can never touch” tension…

In between plant innuendos at dinner- Wither touches Gwens hand…and we discover Kevin now has full control of his powers, much to Gwen’s chagrin…

(Does this mean Wither and Selene aren’t “together” anymore??)

((As much as Gwen complains the relationship is super BORING now…STILL better than Kid Omega during WCA! 😂🤣🤣…))

Gwen decides what she needs to spice this up is a love triangle…and who BETTER than Wither’s PRIOR rival….Elixir?!!

Review:

This whole comic is just a KICK honestly! Jeremy Whitley did an AMAZING job!!

The jokes are great (LOVED the “One More Day” call out especially!), it’s well researched, and in the same vein as “Spider-Man and the X-Men”!

It’s basically a NXM must read!!

Honestly…It was really hard choosing which panels to feature in the review… it’s THAT amazing!

The only downside is the art…which is pretty meh…but all things considered- it’s just a fun issue!

Super excited for the next one to come out- honestly this kind of content makes me want to get a Marvel Unlimited account!

Gwen really SHOULD interact with the X-Men MORE!!

Predictions:

Gwen totally forgot the biggest hiccup to this plan…Wallflower! 😂🤣🤣

Really hope we get more NXM cameos…maybe Gwen will try to get in on the Surge/Prodigy/Speed drama next!! 😂🤣🤣

Actually, X-Men #58 is pissing me off so much I can't f***ing read it. it's like they're trying to ruin the Sentinel Saga for me. I can't do it. I will have to stop reading. Because this thing is only making me angry. So on that pleasant note, it appears I'm done with the x-men for now. Except for the 5 page origin side stories. I'll go back and read those.

i technically didn’t start f/oing him til like 3 or 4 years ago but that’s only cuz when i first saw him on tv, i didn’t know what an f/o was. a/n: ty to @humanalien01 for dealing with my rambles about him and helping me make decisions

A = Arguments(How often do you two argue? Who apologizes first? How do they make up? etc)

not very often do the two of you fight, but when you do, it’s definitely bad. He can be very stubborn and headstrong and a royal pain in the ass.

he apologizes first usually he can’t handle knowing you’re mad at him

he’d probably bring you a gift, something you love but not very expensive to make it up to you

B = Bedtime Routine(Do they prefer to be the big spoon or little spoon? Favourite sleeping position? etc)

he feels like he’s either a big spoon or you’re laying on top of him (pretty boy has anxiety so you’re like a weighted blanket for him), but definitely skin on skin contact in some way

C = Cook(Do they cook? Can they cook? What type of food do they like to cook for their partner?)

he’s not a great cook but he’s not the worst, don’t expect really fancy dishes, but he will make you breakfast often, typically eggs and bacon or sausage

D = DIY(Do they like to make gifts for their partner? Are they good at general DIY around the house? Do they enjoy doing it? )

he absolutely does, definitely the type to carve you little wooden figures & nicknacks. he’ll ask kitty or rouge for help if he thinks it needs painting but he tries his best to do it all by himself. he’s big on “it’s the thought that counts”

E = Effort(How much effort do they put into their relationship?)

he puts as much effort as he can muster, he’s so thankful for you and doesn’t want to do anything to make you hate him

F = First Date(Where do you go on your first date? How does it go etc?)

i see him as being someone who wants to spend the first date getting to know you, he probably also asks one of the female xmen (most likely rouge) on ideas especially more modern ideas, most likely sets up a picnic & sets up pillows and blankets in the back of his pick-up

G = Gifts(What kind of gifts do they gift their partner? What kind of gifts do they receive? etc)

probably gifts you simple but meaningful things, eventually he gifts you his dog tags

he’d love anything and everything you’d gift him, he’s so in love with you, you could gift him a rock that you thought was pretty and he be grateful

H = Honeymoon(Where do they go on Honeymoon? Details on the honeymoon etc.)

if you don’t have a dream do it, he’d most likely suggest a cabin in the canadian mountains with no-one around to bother the two of you, he just wants to spend time with you and bask in your presence

I = Intimacy(What do like they like? Where do they like to be intimate? Are they experienced etc?)

he’s over 200 years old, he definitely has experience. but intimacy is still hard for him, it takes time but he loves the slow and quiet moments with you, where it’s just the two of you cuddled up

J = Jealously(How jealous are they? How often do they get jealous? How they react? etc)

usually no, but sometimes he will, but it will take a lot to get him there but once he does he’ll pull you close and stare the other person down until they leave. it’s worse if they were making you uncomfortable, then he’d throw hands

K = Kink(Do they have any particular kinks?)

he definitely has a breeding kink, but he’s scared to actually get you pregnant because he doesn’t believe he’d be a good father

it’s canon and widely known that he has a strong sense of smell, there for he probably has at least a small scent kink, he loves the way you smell and especially when you smell like him so he makes a point for you to always smell like him

L = Long Distance(How do they cope with Long Distance? How they prefer to keep in contact? etc)

he’d hate it but if it was necessary he’d suffer through it. he’d be sure to text, call, and face-time as often as possible and ask about your day, he’d want to hear every detail

M = Marriage(Do they want to get married? Their wedding etc.)

he didn’t want to get married for a long time, until he met you and then shortly there after he changed his mind, and couldn’t wait to marry you

his wedding would be at the manor, charles would be officiant, if you’re alright with it i can see him asking other x-men to be in the wedding as well. like hank as his best man, rouge as the flower girl, & kurt as ring barer. he’d probably also want to invite his students, after-all the x-men and the rest of those at the institute are his family

N = Night’s Out(Where do they take their partner on nights out? How often do nights out happen?)

probably takes you to bars or restaurants, and occasionally accompanied by a movie

as often as he can swing, he believes you should treat your partner to dates as often as possible, because you shouldn’t stop wooing them just because you are in a relationship

O = Often(How often do you see each other? How many times a week? etc)

he makes a point to see you as often as he can, multiple times a week, if you’re an x men or teach at the school he’d ask for you both to share a room (if you were okay with it as well obviously)

if you weren’t an x-men or teacher, he would probably leave and see you after classes unless he had a mission, then he’d give you a call and tell you how much he loved you, just in case he couldn’t come back to you

P = Public Displays of Affection(Do they like PDA? Do they have boundaries etc.)

he’s okay with pda but he’s not one that he’ll full on make out with you in public, he’ll hold your hand, have his arm around your shoulders or waist, and give you kisses, but that’s about the extent of the pda.

Q = Quiet(Why do they get quiet? How does their partner solve it?)

he gets quiet when he gets in his head, which is usually after nightmares, or someone made a comment about how he’s undeserving of you.

some simple reassurance & snuggles solves this, tell him how much you love him, and how safe you feel around him.

R = Reunion(How they like to reunite with their partner?)

he’ll hold you tight and press a kiss to the crown of your head when he first sees you, he’ll then shove his face in your neck and inhale deeply. as i said before he loves your scent and while he was away he found himself missing it

S = Surprise(Do they like surprises? What kind of surprises do they like to get etc?)

he hates surprises..usually, he hates the waiting, now that being said he’s okay if they’re from you, because he trusts you with his entire mind, body and soul

if you text him or tell him you have a surprise for him, it’s an almost guarantee that he’ll make a dirty joke about it, he’d probably ask what color the lingerie set was that you’re gonna wear (good luck walking tomorrow if that actually was the surprise)

T = Texts(How often do they text? How do they react when they receive texts from their partner?)

he is absolutely god awful at texting. except with you. he’ll leave almost everyone on ‘read’ or ‘delivered’ never you though, he always responds as fast as he can. so when you hear everyone complain about him never answering you can’t help but giggle because you don’t have to deal with that

U = Unity(How well do they work with their partner? Do they make a good team?)

i feel like you’d work well, he’d be sure to always check in and protect you

V = Vacation(Favourite vacation spot to take their partner?)

again, canadian mountains, this man’s ideal vacation is just the two of you, away from everyone and everything unbothered

W = When(At what point do they move into together? What kind of place? etc)

if you’re a teacher at the institute or x-men & live in the mansion, i can see it being a few months in maybe like 6

if you aren’t either of those, it maybe closer to a year, it’ll probably start out with an apartment but eventually he wants to get a cabin for the two of you (and any kids you may have)

X = X-ray(What is their favourite body part on their partner?)

i definitely think he’s an ass/thighs man, but also a tummy kinda guy, he loves being able to grab you

Y = you(A random headcanon about your relationship.)

he’s so gentle with you for someone labeled as an “animal” and a “killing machine”

Z =Zoom(Zoom into the future, what does your future look like?)

the two of you, in a cabin somewhere in the woods (most likely canadian mountains), unbothered, he’s mostly retired from x-men duties (he’d still go on missions if they needed him contrary to what he says), occasionally someone from the team will visit, maybe some animals and a garden (he wants to go into town as little as possible).

maybe even a few kids if that’s what you wanted, as many as you wanted, and if they eventually showed signs of developing mutations he’ll be sure to assure them that there’s nothing wrong with them no matter what anyone may say. hell teach them to control their power, and if it’s too much for just him he’ll ask xavier for help. he’d also be sure too teach them that they should use their gifts to help people & never cause unnecessary harm
