#evil padmé

Can you imagine the sheer amount of horror and panic for the rebels if Padmé decided to be evil and "yeah, okay, you know what, let's cut Palpatine's head and let me see what I can do to fix this galaxy my way"?
No no like they're like "The Chancellor tricked us, almost all the jedi are dead, there's no republic anymore, but there's still hope! There's still a fight in us, there's still---!" and they see Padmé, with Anakin/Vader following her close with raging, horrible, yellow eyes, but what's more scary is that Padmé is just smilling? With a sith so close to her? Padmé, he's- he's a murderer, Padmé? Why are you giving him pats- Oh damn, he's the father, oh damn-.
"We're doomed" the rebels mutter when they realize Senator Amidala- wait, what? Is Empress Amidala now? Okay-.
Yeah, okay, theorically she would be a better choice than the bastard of Palpatine. But at the same time she's so loved, so clever as a politician and Anakin is so devoted to her that forming a rebellion against her would be twice as hard. Even more when she actually originally was one of the founders of that very same rebellion? And General Skywalker is insane now, and he's very insane about her too, and he's very murderous and did I say insane? and...
What, all the highly trained look-alikes handmaidens are now secret service? Well that's...complicated, but...What, Naboo supports her? The whole planet? That's not so much of a shock, but...Bail, wait, listen to yourself, Bail what are you saying, she's evil now, stay with us, Bail. Okay, well, you might have a point-
"We're doomed." The rebels mutter again as they facepalm at the most cheesy and dumb royal wedding between the worst power couple in existence and the Organas are guests of honor and the groomsmen/honor guard are a chained General Kenobi, an astromech and a protocol droid.

Let's briefly talk about this scene.
Tumblr media
It starts with Anakin lamenting how the Clone War corrupted the Jedi and the principles of the Republic.
Now, Padmé thinks she and Anakin are talking about the same thing: this war is corrupting the Jedi and the principles of the Republic and Palpatine doesn't seem to want to put an end to it, instead increasingly amassing power.
Tumblr media
She asks Anakin to get Palpatine to cease the fighting and let diplomacy resume. And Anakin. Gets. Triggered.
Tumblr media
Why?
Well, firstly... it's because they weren't talking about the same thing.
Tumblr media
1. What Anakin really means when talking about "the principles of the Republic".
While Anakin may say that he's concerned for the corruption of the Jedi Code and the principles of the Republic... he isn't really.
Anakin has a track record of saying he supports abstract principles and concepts, then complaining when standing by that hurts him.
Like when he'll preach that wartime forces him to make hard choices, duty over emotion...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
... but then gets mad when someone else makes the hard choice in doing their duty, and it hits close to home.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's this line Matthew Stover wrote in the ROTS novelization, which I think is very relevant:
“I think," Obi-Wan said carefully, "that abstractions like peace don't mean much to him. He's loyal to people, not to principles. And he expects loyalty in return. He will stop at nothing to save me, for example, because he thinks I would do the same for him.”
Anakin isn't about abstractions like "peace", "duty" or "democracy". He'll say he is, because he knows he should be, in theory... but, in practice, he's more loyal to people than to principles.
And right now, he's very loyal to Palpatine. Arguably more than anyone else. No matter how blatantly he acts like a dictator, Anakin stays on his side.
So whenever he uses the words "Senate" and "Republic", what he means is "Palpatine". To him, they're one and the same.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He loves Palpatine very much but the two other people he loves, Padmé and Obi-Wan, are both telling him Palpatine's bad news.
Which brings us to the second reason he gets triggered...
Tumblr media
2. He's under an enormous amount of stress.
Tumblr media
He's barely had any sleep since his nightmare about Padmé and is now scared at the prospect of losing her like he lost his mother.
He's been on an emotional roller-coaster with the Council, first being put on the Council, but not as a Master, then being given a mission but it's a mission to spy on a mentor and father figure. Now he's not even sure the Jedi trust him and he's not even sure they should, after his outburst.
Also Padmé herself is asking him to tell Palpatine to stop, criticizing the Chancellor just like the Jedi do.
It's understandable that he's on edge. That said... a huge chunk of this stress isn't Padmé or the Council's fault. It has been manufactured by Palpatine.
He appointed Anakin to be his representative on the Council specifically because he knew it would put Anakin under pressure... pressure he can exploit for his own gain.
Tumblr media
That's what Palpatine does. He orchestrates pressure then swoops in, in the guise of a savior.
With the Republic, he does this by engineering a war then bringing about order (to the chaos he caused) as an Emperor.
With Anakin, he does this by engineering conflict between him and his family - Padmé, Obi-Wan, the Jedi - then presenting himself before Anakin as the solution to all his problems.
From that point on, he enables the Republic and Anakin to give in to the worse parts of themselves and implode.
The former goes from being a democracy to a dictatorship, the latter goes from being a sweet kid to a bad man.

Coriolanus Snow and Anakin Skywalker are perfect examples of really interesting characters who had every chance to do the right thing but repeatedly chose wrong even though they were surrounded by good people, all because they had one person whispering in their ear and convincing them to be selfish and to hurt people instead. There is no point where they have to do what they do, it’s their choices that make them compelling.
They’re also both incredibly controlling over the women they claim to love but are quick to try and physically harm them when they realise that they’re actually human beings who will not blindly follow them. It’s very clear they were possessive, not actually in love. To sincerely love is to respect someone’s agency and neither of them were capable of that.
Another trait they both share is that, despite being layered and well written but fundamentally flawed characters who turn to evil by their own free will, if you cast an attractive actor to play them, there are always going to be people who blindly ignore the entire plot just to defend them and justify their actions. Being a victim of abuse or oppression does not excuse you from being a perpetrator.

So Im all here for the Pretty Ladies who dress nicely doing all the politics, wonderful court intrigue right here, are we gonna talk about in the back ground the majority known Male characters are in War killing dying thing? this story IS about the back room deals and others as main setting, (although we should tease you about dodging the wars in Star Wars sometimes just as a little poke.) curious cause the 4 main Male politco 2 are enemies in Rush and Palps. Kamino had a fem evil Senator! use??
Who wants to talk about ✨🌈Palpatine🌈✨!
There haven't been a lot of opportunities to talk about the structure and the influence of our main villain textually in the story, because Leia is kinda blind to her own bias, and also a lot of stuff that I have as part of his character just...doesn't come up.
So, keep two things in mind as I talk about DLB Chancellor Sheev Palpatine and pull back the curtain just a little.
His character is coming pretty exclusively from the OT and PT movies (with minor exceptions).
I'm taking advantage of a lot of silences and time period circumstances to draw conclusions about his character, so don't be surprised if I say something that isn't said out loud at some point.
Ready? Let's go!!
The OT features an overabundance of male humans in positions of power in Palpatine's government. This may have been balanced out slightly by novels that I haven't read or newer shows that I haven't watched, but the people Palps promoted to his special seats of power (Moffs, military leaders) are overwhelming human men. If we stretch canon to include the two Clone Wars cartoon series, the only women brought into Palpatine's plots are brought in by Dooku or other associates, not Palpatine himself. Of the three apprentices Palpatine has, two are human and one is humanoid.
I don't think I'm breaking anyone's brain to assert that Palpatine is sexist and racist. I know I'm not the first person to suggest or write this sort of character.
What I'm going to assert, beyond those points, is that Palpatine is only really impressed with himself, and assumes that anyone lacking qualities that he has is progressively less useful and important than him. So he's also, for lack of a better word, Force-ist.
(Ugh, nope. I still don't like it, but I don't have anything else.)
Palpatine absolutely has loyalists and panderers that are women. But as far as DLB is concerned, he's not promoting them, searching them out, or impressed by them. So women are going to be antagonists in this story more incidentally. On a small scale. Major antagonists are going to end up frequently being male and human. And I'm not going to try and change that.
Only tangentially related, but a little important because Leia comes into the Senate through Padmé's office, because of the prejudices listed above, I will pretty much die on the hill that Palpatine loathes Padmé. And he really loathes that he loathes her. That he has to have any feelings about her at all.
She's young. She's a girl. She isn't Force sensitive. He plucked her out and carefully curated her early political experience and was probably violently influential in her success in getting elected the first time. He had a tiny, fragile, 14 year old stumbling under the weight of the crown, ready to start his civil war and initiate the end of the Republic. She gets him elected. His plan is flawless.
Until it turns out that she has a spine, and humility. She has the courage to face danger and the grace to bow to another sovereign power. She trusts Jar Jar Binks when he suggests that the gungans have an army. Like this is somehow a viable plan for taking back her people, when Jar Jar isn't even slightly popular or powerful.
And she wins. Palpatine loses Maul, he loses Naboo, and he loses the opportunity to start a war. She sets him back a solid decade, at 14. On a hope and a the thinnest apology.
DLB isn't so much about creating a perfectly equitable Star Wars universe. I'm not equipped for that, and it wasn't the goal. This story is about a bunch of ladies doing politics and kicking Palpatine's plans to the curb because he was always vulnerable to the people he dismissed the most.
Palpatine's plans had the Jedi and the Senate in a steel trap of lose-lose situations. But he loses, over and over, to kindness, compassion, forgiveness, and diplomacy. He's stymied by it. He literally can't plan for it. I've had all sorts of fun having Leia and Padmé do "mother-daughter" politics together, but I love that in RotJ Luke Skywalker looked the Emperor dead in the eyes and said, "No. No you can't make me do this." Like his mother would have. It had to drive Palpatine completely nuts. And it worked.
Anyway, all that to say, there's a lot of story left, and I'm not going to give away all of Palpatine's plans and plots. But part of how Leia got this far without any resistance was that Palpatine saw a short, unconnected woman from the outer rim, had no idea she could use the Force, and went, "Not important."
And he was very, very, very wrong. :D

you know what would have been funny? i was busy thinking of some Imperial! Anidala AUs and there's one which just crossed my mind.
Imagine Padmé joins Vader on Mustafar, Vader beats Obi, and kills Sidious to take over. Vader tries to deepen his connection to the Dark Side as he and Padmé rule over the galaxy. Vader tries to portray himself as this evil, fearsome autocrat but is way too popular: he doesn't create the Death Star because neither he nor Padmé likes it, he abolishes slavery because duh, literally all of the clones (they don't get replaced) love him, he's still seen as the war hero, he's very handsome, and Padmé's presence + coregency mellows him out a lot. Padmé and his children are also there, and his love for them is wayyyyyy too much that he isn't nearly as evil and dark as he should be
Eventually, Vader comes to Padmé crying about how his connection to the Dark Side is weakening because of how much he loves her and the children and how he can't fuel his inner darkness anymore. He isn't really a Sith anymore and eventually Padmé convinces him to just let it go, renounce his darkness, and let the love flow through him so now he's just emperor anakin, former jedi and failed sith
emperor vader: suffering from success

Quick Question:
My little sister (8yrs) really wants to watch Revenge of the Sith.
She’s seen the OT, and the first 2 Prequel movies, as well as: The Mandalorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Episodes 1-3 of Tales of the Jedi, and Season 1-3 of Rebels.
My mom is wary of her watching it since reviews keep saying that she should be 10 years old before watching it, and that it’s PG-13, however...
My sister has watched:
All 8 Harry Potter movies (which range from PG to PG13) and wasn’t bothered by anything in it (even the spiders! she didn’t blink at the spiders! that’s more than I can handle!)
And both Maleficent movies, both are which are PG, but do have some scenes that are just as intense as Mustafar/Order 66/ect.
So. I need help.
What do you all think?
I want her to see it, but I also don’t want her watching it if she really shouldn’t be.

[ID: Screenshot of a chat that says "just leave my queen alone, she's already suffered enough. She wanted a life with her malewife murder monk pilot mechanic racer and you should respect her for that!]
It's Padmé defending's hours for me
I have been seeing more negative (with very weird connotations, tbh) posts about Padmé on my dash lately, and while I'm a firm believer of the "scroll past it" rule, it really irks me a lot because MOST of these takes sound a bit mysoginistic to me and also (to me) shows a lack of trying to understand her as a character, not in a "you don't get her" way, but in a "you don't even try to understand the character and her context in the damn story just because you wanna sound holy than thou" way.
I'm all for accepting takes about Padmé's flaws or having a slightly more privileged/closed view (and that makes sense, she's aristocracy) but these people are SO WEIRD whenever they wanna talk about her 🤨
I'll forever mad that George eliminated SO MANY scenes with Padmé in the movies, but I feel like even if we had those scenes, people's complaints would be exactly the same.
But also i think half of the time people fail at understanding Padmé is because they're also failing to understand Anakin's as a character, idk

I am deeply saddened, but not surprised. Israel timed their massacre in Rafah to coincide with their bullshit Super Bowl commercial. Why? How does that help anyone, how does that keep safe any IOF soldier involved in the massacre? The answer is, it doesn’t. There was no military reason for coordinating this. It’s just more unnecessarily cruel, evil, inhumane, jingoistic bullshit.
Look, people keep saying, “But what about Hamas and the hostages?” and Oh My Fucking God, why do we have to keep explaining basic concepts like empathy, compassion, humanity and basic human decency?
FFS, this is such a basic ass concept that it’s a “bad guy” foreshadowing trope used in comic books and movies—even Padmé Amidala recognized that Anakin murdering an entire race (genocide!) in retaliation for killing his mother was wrong. Thor Odinson, notorious for his hatred of Frost Giants, refused to let Loki completely destroy the realm of Jotunheim, because Thor understood that genocide is wrong.
It sounds really silly using Star Wars and Marvel movies to explain why what Israel is doing is wrong, doesn’t it? But I’m Black, and I’ve seen how wayyy too many white people will be depressed and cry about the death of imaginary characters but then turn right around and not give a single fuck about actual living breathing, non-white people being systematically oppressed and methodically murdered.
Israel is committing ethnic cleansing, war crimes and genocide against Palestinians. They have already murdered nearly 30,000 noncombatant civilians, a full third of whom were small children.

When will Israel’s barbaric, uncontrollable desire to kill Palestinians end? When is it going to be enough?

How could Padmé tell there was still good in Anakin? Was it a force thing or just unwavering faith?
I don't feel that "just unwavering faith" carries the right connotations. She sure had trust and confidence in the fact that good cannot be fully eradicated from someone, as good and evil are conjoined and interdependent and consisting each other, but this wasn't exactly a new information for Obi-Wan, that's not the point of her last words.
Padmé knew that there is still good in Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the same way Luke and Vader knew that they're actually father and son: "Search your feelings. You know it to be true." I think it's appropriate to call this a "Force thing", but it has nothing to do with one's natural ability to wield the Force, rather, it's the Force itself, that encompasses all living things but also goes beyond them all. It's to know things in the heart, through the heart, it's being told by the little voice inside you, it's being told by your inner feelings. So, she knows this for a fact, and because of this, she dies in a state of hope and profound confidence that it all will be fine, rather than in a state of despair, and she is using her last breath to share it with Obi-Wan.
Also, I'm pretty convinced that Padmé and Anakin were connected when Darth Vader was born, so she was able to actually experience the unity with him, sharing his being, thus, being able to see and feel that goodness within Vader. Just like Luke was able to reach out to Leia in Episode V, that ounce of good that was left in Anakin was able to let Padmé know that it's there and waiting to be given power to.

Now and then I have a little giggle when I recall that JJ Abrams made Rey Palpatine's grandkid via some sort of nonsensical cloning plot. It's not the worst thing in the ST but I do think it's emblematic of why it's bad. Signifier without substance. Derivative *and* gutless. Tried to rip off ESB without understanding how the Vader reveal works as a narrative beat, gave Sheev spawn, and didn't even have enough courage of their convictions to admit that he fucks.
Like we all know Vader spent two decades pining gloomily after Padmé. But Palpatine? Sheev Palpatine? The guy whose two modes are smiling smug self-satisfied secret smiles to himself and crowing POWER, UNLIMITED POWER? The guy who cackles with maniacal relish anytime he gets to let his hair down and have a lightsaber fight? That guy is a hedonist. Tell me I'm wrong. That man is at all times enjoying the hell out of being irredeemably evil. He is a literal emperor, the vastly powerful and mostly unchallenged ruler of the galaxy, reveling in a victory he spent many years plotting and scheming for. And they had to invent some half-assed narrative afterthought of a cloning program rather than simply allowing us to assume that at some point in the two+ decades between ROTS and ROTJ, that man got laid? The cowardice. The incompetence. The sheer commitment to taking every conceivable L

“HIT ME!” MOANED THE MASOCHIST, “NO,” SNEERED THE SADIST.
Tumblr media
Love’s a silly little thing that’s made Saints do questionable things, so how were you expected to be any different as a Jedi with tainted ethics? Except, the sole purpose of being one— a Jedi, is to be damn near a Saint. Well, you’re near one, now.
With your face buried in his sheets, and his cock buried inside you.
“Ani— fuck,” you sighed in fulfilment.
this was home, homely; beneath him every night after a long day of you awaiting the sight of him in the Temple, and for him, distracting himself by killing all evil and bottling up all thoughts of his lost love.
“How many fucking times have I told you not to call me that?” You flinched at the smack landing on your ass cheek. The hopes of him rubbing the supple flesh to soothe the pain went in vain.
The sole reason for the success of your “relationship” or even why Anakin agreed to your pathetic advances in the first place was because you were symbiotic, yin and yang of a very wicked balance.
HE LIKED INFLICTING PAIN, YOU LIKED BEING INFLICTED UPON.
Tumblr media
When Padmé Amidala left the Coruscant for Naboo, abandoning her Ani with a broken heart, you volunteered to pick the pieces.
“ANAKIN, TALK TO ME,” you urged, clutching onto his onyx Jedi robes. His jaw clenched, an eyebrow irking at your audacious hand placement.
“Leave me alone,” he pushed himself away from you, but you were adamant as ever.
“It’s her, isn’t it?” Your gut churned out a warning, intituition telling you you’re digging a hole that’s bound to be deeper than the bond you’ve formed with Anakin Skywalker over the decade of knowing him— from Slave to Saviour of the galaxies.
His head whipped towards you, his broad back tensing as he turned threateningly slowly towards you.
“I can,” you were unsure of what you were going to propose— hell, you were unsure of what you were even going to say.
‘I can make you forget her.’
He sneered, you squirmed.
“I’d love to see you try, sweetheart.”
Tumblr media
First pet name Anakin Skywalker learned to use, coincidentally, too, for you. He had heard a sleazy man on Tattooine say it to his mother. For the longest time, he had thought of it to be vulgarity, until little Skywalker used it for you in front of Obi-wan and was quick to learn that it expresses endearment, not disdain.
After ten years he calls you ‘sweetheart’, and you knew better than to blush over it, but you were flushed, anyway.
You strip yourself bare; physically and egotistically. You lay yourself bare for your first love to unravel, even if there wasn’t much to remove physically; you were laying your soul bare to him, for him.
Mere virgin, inexperienced and shielded. Jaded just from communicating with two-timers, but so, so willing to bend over backwards and break your back for Anakin Skywalker’s mercurial self and pretty face.
While he sees your naked flesh on display for him, you see the first emotion on Anakin’s face that was not indignation towards you. Desire. He desired you, but the speed at which he masked his emotions proved to you that it wasn’t half of what he felt for her.
“You have no idea what you’re setting yourself up for.” He grabbed your chin with his metallic arm, one you’ve admired for the valour that gave it to him and one you’ve shamelessly fantasised about.
One snap was all it would’ve taken for him to break you in half with that faux robotic limb, but Anakin wouldn’t do that. Not just yet.
“What makes you think you can compare to her?”
“She is the kindest, strongest, most generous and most beautiful woman in the galaxy. What makes you think you can compare?”
What really makes you think you can compare?
You’ve been selfish, cursing the entirety of their relationship, which was as one-sided as your love for him.
You’ve been impatient, reckless and impulsive, and it’s evident in your performance as a Jedi.
You can’t even fulfil your sole purpose because, by Maker, he’s clouded your mind with himself and left little room for rationality.
‘I can try,’ you think, and of course he’d read it. ‘To fill the void.’
‘Let me in, please.’
‘Please let me try.’
“Bend over, ass up, face down.”
Tumblr media
That’s how you two started, and how you persist.
He insists on fucking you in the same position, same force and speed of his thrusts, every night.
You know better than to ask for more. Maker’s giving you more than you deserve, isn’t it? Gratitude has been a virtue of yours, so you stick to it.
Even if there are days when he doesn’t show up to your room, knock curtly thrice before barging in to find you stripped and on your knees for him, you still love him.
He’s forgiven, he’ll always be.
You take those days to forget him, to jump down the Tower instead of climbing further up the spiralling stairs of a love doomed before it blossomed.
Anakin Skywalker only brings despair with him, a fact even the Order knows now.
“An-ah!—Anakin, slow down!” You squealed, his thrusts never faltering.
He was taking out his frustration for the Maces of the Order onto you.
“Shut up and take it,” he grunted, going faster.
You were crying, a mere mess in his bed.
The tip of his cock was assaulting your g-spot, and it felt like a punch to the gut.
You felt him there, too, snaking a hand down to your tummy to feel the bulge of him going in and out of your tight channel.
He rubbed your clit vigorously; the swollen bundle of nerves had been begging for his attention, which, his balls slapping against it was sufficing, but the extra heed paid had you writhing in overstimulation.
You were sobbing, softly, but loud enough for him to hear over the sound of skin-on-skin slapping and his own haggard breath.
He pulled out, making you clench around just his tip. It was like your body was trying to keep him in.
“Can’t have me stay and can’t have me go,” he said under his breath. He spread your cunt with his hands, watching your abused hole leak your juices.
He eyed you for several moments, making you self-conscious as jolt away from him. He only spreads you further apart to spit into your hole.
Your body jerked away from him, but his metallic fingers were faster in being shoved inside of you.
The cold metal felt like ice to your hot insides, the juxtaposition of a sensation sending a shiver down your arched spine.
“Oh, you like this?” His human hand cupped your mound. “Is cock too much for your little pussy to handle?” He mocked, but you sensed a tinge of amusement underlying his tone.
“You have one purpose, and you fail to meet it.” He pulled out his fingers, causing your head to snap back to look at him.
You see him seated on the bed, leisurely stroking his cock as if he has all the time in the world, no necessity for release while you ached to come undone.
‘I’ve given you more than she has.’
Anakin’s cock may be the biggest in this galaxy, but your pride’s bigger in every other.
His jaw clenched, but his cock twitched.
With one swift leap, he was on top of you— the predator atop his prey— pounced and ready to penetrate— eat you alive.
“Not a word out of you, y’hear?”
“Not. One. Word.”
He aligned the tip of his member with your tight entrance and forced his way in, fucking you dumb with merciless thrusts, just the way you wanted.
You were drooling, panting, screaming, moaning, crying, all while Anakin drove his hips into yours wordlessly.
The silence was eerie and scary, not even a grunt was sounded, and how you yearned to hear his groans of pleasure, knowing they were for you.
He then moaned, once again reading your mind with that impeccable bond of Force that Maker’s aligned your souls with, but your heart nearly dropped to your cunt when he said,
“Padmé, fuck.”
You clenched out of instinct, spinal cord taking over all senses while your brain was too weak, too fucked to react.
A normal person with self-respect would ask him to get the fuck out and never, ever come see you again, but you had ego, not the former, and the difference between the two is what’s allowing you to let him finish and go, like every other night, like a part of you would normalise this foreplay as long as you feel his touch— feel wanted by him.
When his seed tainted your walls once more, you sighed in relief. You couldn’t bear to look at him with tearful eyes.
You hear him shuffle into his robes, then silence, yet his presence was still felt.
You hear the doorknob twist, so you turn around to lie on your back, not expecting a lurking Anakin lingering by the doorframe. You peer at him through wet lashes, doe-eyes reduced to slits while you reciprocated the venom exuding out of Anakin for the first time towards him, clenching your jaw. Your chest huffed with forced respiration, drawing Anakin’s attention to your breasts.
It was then he used the force not to hear the string of curses flowing through your mind for him, but to talk to you, for the first time.
And for the first time he ever said,
‘If I didn’t like you, I wouldn’t come to you.’
“Like” isn’t “love”,
But it is something—
‘—But you mean nothing to me, so your love is useless.’
‘And I won’t always be around as the other woman,’ you were going to go berserk.
But which one of you was lying, sneering sadist or moaning masochist?
