The accessories finally came in the mail. I had to do this

September 1983. Although not credited in the digest on whose cover this version was published (BEST OF DC #40, SUPERMAN: THE FABULOUS WORLD OF KRYPTON), this map of Krypton was drawn by Albert de Guzman and originally appeared in THE KRYPTON CHRONICLES #2 (October 1981). Many of the locales shown on the map had appeared in previous Superman stories, in particular the Scarlet Jungle.

A different map of Krypton, drawn by Howard Bender and Joe DelBeato, appeared in the Krypton entry in WHO'S WHO about three years later:

This version of the map is broadly similar to the De Guzman map above, although the captions for Kandor and Argo City seem to have been transposed: The vignette identified as Kandor appears to be Argo City — Argo had an environmental dome (which is how it survived the destruction of Krypton), while Kandor did not — and the vignette identified as Argo City looks a lot more like Kandor. My guess that someone switched the captions during production, seeing the dome over Argo and mistakenly assuming someone had mislabeled Kandor (which of course is best known as the Bottle City of Kandor).

-LOUNGES- OK LOOK I genuinely love how you've taken into account this mutation affecting her memory and reactions. That doesn't feel like something I've seen before and it's a really nice twist. And the bit you mentioned that she likes serving people good food in part because she can't really taste it anymore makes me smile. She's a good person who didn't deserve what's happening to her but damn I'm here for her story and development!

Please tell me your favorite things about my portrayal/muse?

Holly, you are too pure for this world!!! From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Truly, I appreciate your kind words so much as honestly, I wasn't sure what people were thinking when it came to Khare's memory issues? Her mutation sounds cool in theory what with being hard to kill and regenerating flesh to the point that losing limbs isn't much of an issue but there are some serious drawbacks to her condition so I'm actually glad you noticed this? Also the kind things you said before back when I was writing those journal entries, I wanted to embrace the negative sides when it comes to getting mutagenic powers and not many examples show what happens when it... well, goes wrong. As for being a good person, Khare would find it -very- debatable whether or not. She feels so conflicted about everything that happened and that she's not 'good' at all, leaving all those poor people behind without trying to find some way of helping them but she didn't know what to do, where to go or if anybody would even believe her. She can't believe it herself somedays, until she looks into a mirror and sees all those eyes clustered in her shoulder or feels the squirm in her hip as the eyes there jiggle for water but what's done is done. Shit happens to people every day and she's no exception, she just has to make the best of things she can. She does love that part about her job tho, making good food for people to enjoy since her sense of taste has been obliterated by her condition so I'm glad that part makes you smile!!! <3
