Okay, I enjoyed the last episode and love it when the Worst Gen acts in tandem or quintuple-dem, and loved it in the manga too, although I don't recall this from the manga

(Law and Kid, stretching our stretchy boy to full capacity so that he's both the projectile of the sling shot and the sling shot).

But along with the eye-candy, I loved the ridiculous frames like the two above, and lets focus on Law from the first frame a little more:

This is the guy we simp over. I mean—it's a moving art. Not everything can be high focus! But yeah. I've borrowed the one below from @sashi-ya (hope you don't mind), cos it was hell to screen cap, even slowed down. I kept getting that middle shot above of Kid and Law:

cos I love Luffy and Kid in their roly poly incarnations, and now Law and Kid as two clenched-teeth-almost-literal-barrels is too much.. Guess you could say that their clenched teeth mirror their torsos, or vice versa. Luffy smiling in that whole sequence (not the smile above) was really sweet though. Tanomu!

Oh, also, as I said in manga commentary at the time, it's such a shippers paradise: LawZo, KidLaw, LawLu (if it's your cuppa), ZoLu, ZoKil (and KidKil of course!), or KidLawLu (if that's your cuppa too).

One Piece - Zoro - Episode 1026

The assault on Kaido and Big Mom in Episode 1026 is done so well, so many moments between the characters, I could write an essay on each and every one, but I won't, because I'm lazy and not very articulate

Just pointing out:

- Luffy going ferociously against Kaido, after Zoro got hurt blocking an attack that would've probably killed them all

- Captain-I-don't-need-anyone-Kid thanking Zoro (which was actually an episode before, but I still include it here because flashback)

- Luffy got smashed into a rock so hard that he was semi-stuck, but forced himself instantly out, and went into recklessly attacking, when he saw Law being attacked

- Zoro deadass saying that he'd follow his captain to hell

- Luffy blocking an attack that was pretty much meant to finish off Zoro

- Luffy saying sorry to Zoro, for not giving him a reason to die

- Zoro's endless trust in Luffy

- Kid and Law jumping back into action, grabbing Luffy by the wrists when he got blown away by Kaido's attack, to launch him into a fierce counter attack with synced effort

- Zoro going against Big Mom despite being severely injured, and still worrying about Luffy

- Killer showing concern for Zoro by asking if he can do it

Just another day of Zoro being the most badass character and the most loyal to Luffy

Fun facts I found out while dealing with my OP soundtrack project:

After the first 3 Music & Song Collection albums, which have the original score of the OP anime (year 2000) they had never composed new music specifically for it until Punk Hazard. All new songs were brought in from the movies as they released.

Punk Hazard was the first arc where new song tracks were composed specifically for the anime since the 2000s, and when theme songs (beyond the Strawhat ones) were introduced! With, you guessed it, Caesar and Law's themes (2013)

Because of this, movie soundtracks have been used less and less, though they still make appearances sometimes. Stampede seems to be an exception since it has been almost completely used in the anime, but no other modern OP movies have had the same treatment.

Speaking of Stampede, Kid's theme is the only theme that was not originally composed for a character but has been adopted for one. His track was originally composed for Stampede (Supernovas ~ Rookies' Entrance) but has since then been re-released in the WANOKUNI album as his own (renamed to Eustass Kid's Theme)

You likely know about this one but it's very funny to me how there's a decent amount of song tracks that are very spoilery? Like, "Gold and Oden" appears for the first time in ep. 21 but we will not get Oden's flashback until ep. 960-something

On the same vein, "Luffy꞉ Awakening" and "Awakened Luffy in Action" appear for the first time in ep. 1028 and ep. 1026 respectively, with the WANOKUNI album releasing in March 16, 2022. The Gear 5 episode is 1071 released in August 6.

They used "The Green Terror" from Omatsuri in Ryokugyu's reveal episode (ep. 1081) which amuses me

One Piece: The Movie: like... 6.5/10. wasn't particularly engaging or interesting but it did give us like half of the one piece soundtrack so its gotta earn points for that

Clockwork Island Adventure: 5/10. it was decidedly mediocre. not terribly offensive and some of the worldbuilding was cool even if entirely unexplained, but not terribly interesting either. negative points for damseling nami

Chopper's Kingdom on the Island of Strange Animals: 6.7/10. another decidedly mediocre, but was funny at points

Dead End Adventure: 9/10. i really enjoyed this movie honestly it was funny and engaging and had a few really good character moments which is more than we usually get. terribly underrated

The Cursed Holy Sword: 3/10. bad zoro interpretation and was terribly boring outside of like one or two funny luffy gags.

Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island: 10/10 its baron omatsuri what else can you say. absolutely NOT the tone of one piece but thats what makes it so so very cool. and horrific. and also the animation is gorgeous

The Giant Mechanical Soldier of Karakuri Castle: 9/10. the plot isnt terribly interesting but there are so many spectacular strawhat interactions and also the island actually being a giant turtle is very epic. another terribly underrated film

Episode of Arabasta: The Desert Princess and the Pirates: ?/10 havent watched it yet but i'm under the impression its just a condense and reanimated version of alabasta

Episode of Chopper Plus: Bloom in Winter, Miracle Sakura: 8/10 i mean its drum island except with a handful of minor differences. i liked the animation and some of the backgrounds were really pretty. but yeah i mean its drum island

One Piece Film: Strong World: 3/10. i hate shiki. i hate that dumb clown. negative points for damselling nami. the only things going for this movie are the straw hats with guns (and garp & sengoku appearing for .2 seconds in the beginning). anybody who tells you this is a good movie is LYING theyre LYING

One Piece 3D: Straw Hat Chase: ?/10 i havent actually seen this? maybe ill watch it this week. kind of put off by virtue of it being 3d but who knows

One Piece Film: Z: 2/10. anybody who tells you this one is a good movie is ALSO a dirty dirty liar. aside from the fact that the plot was a mess and it was literally just a series of loosely connected events until the climax and also sanji's worst scene ever in anything of all time, zephyr couldve been an actually interesting and compelling villain but his backstory SUCKED and like ok boo hoo youve decided to say the marines suck not because of any the atrocities theyve committed or lives theyve ruined you only quit when it started having a bad impact on you specifically. boo hoo cry me a river. "ohhh the marines suck and the pirates suck so im going to kill EVERYBODY!!!" despite the fact that 90% of your victims will be innocent civilians. shut up and die. the only things redeeming this movie are 1) chopper's cow outfit 2) aokiji fanservice 3) admiral & old people trio marine rookie pics. thats it. see the most infuriating part is that zephyr COULD HAVE BEEN GOOD. he COULD HAVE BEEN. you couldve made him somebody who saw the terrible awful corruption in the marines and decided that they sucked, not because it was starting to impact him specifically poorly, but because its impacting pretty much everybody in this world poorly. but god forbid we actually try to have a DECENT one piece film villain. can you tell i hate this movie

One Piece Film: Gold: 10/10 straw hat heist movie with zoro as the damsel and robin in a suit for like 5 minutes. what else could you ask for, honestly

One Piece: Stampede: like. 5/10. the plot for this one was mostly just an excuse to shove every single character the series has ever had into it and as a result was kind of a total mess and yet they still didnt have the heart pirates appear like at all because they hate me specifically but i'll survive. anwyays its was like. okay. its fine, i guess. its not offensive but its not terribly interesting either.

Bruce Lee than he'll ever be

Hulk Hogan ( I prefer Bruce Lee, for what it's worth), but he's hardly the

Charles Atlas weakling portrayed in the advert above that some of fandom seems to think he canonically is (and yes, I know that commercial is problematic) .

Above and following are some figurines and manga/anime shots. He's not bulky like Killer or Kid (although Oda did thicken his neck along with everyone else, especially in Wano) but he is ripped.

Anyway, I think his tattoos are bothersome to draw, so Oda covers him up a lot, and I prefer it if not every character is WWE rip off, and sure he's portrayed skinny and lanky a lot of the time, but not all the time.

The everyman, even if they get transformed into a god, wins in the long run in One Piece, anyway.

Like, sure, you can diss fan artists for drawing Law with some muscle, but it's not as if he's totally without defined and developed musculature.

(The end shots aren't about muscle, but about getting ahead. Of course one of the shots above features still unresolved stuff with Blackbeard too, so maybe not so much winning there!).
