I didn't watch The Magicians until after season one had aired. I was around 33 years old. This was the first time I felt like my sexuality had been adequately represented on television. I was in college with Queer as Folk, The L Word, Six Feet Under, all the greats, but this bizarre and irreverent series finally had a character that didn't have labels. Quentin Coldwater might be pan, bi, omni, anything because it's never stated explicitly. This meant the world to me, still does.

Phoria -Evolve
Being him is who you are
He will never know why
There's a bottle full of water
I've been turning on its side
I don't mind if I don't find
Where it's been running all this time
Magicians fans will know
Peaches and plums, motherf*cker

Occasional “The Magicians” post
Still don’t understand hate to Alice. It seems to me that the main reason is that Quelliot is more popular ship than Qualice. But guys! Why should we choose?
I like Qualice and Quelliot at the same time, and I think they wouldn't mind at all being polyamory triangle. S5 may be weird but thanks for Elliot and Alice supportive dynamics in their common pain.
And this song breaks me every time, when I listen it.

The wrapping paper had been blue and green, with swirls of gold that seemed to fade in and out. The gold was more of a yellow, it didn't have a shine to it, it was an imitation.
It had concealed a small box, a dark wooden brown that opened with a creak. There was a swirl of magic that made a false hinge.
Quentin didn't know how exactly the spell worked, yet it kept the two box pieces attached to each other.
Inside sat a muted pale blue kazoo, nothing keeping it tucked snugly into the box. Quentin took it out slowly and looked at Elliot.
Elliot just smiled, eyes flicked once back down to the kazoo Quentin now held.
Slowly it was held up to his mouth, lips touching the mouthpiece. Elliot looked expectantly at him, and so Quentin blew into the kazoo.
Quentin had blown into kazoos before, once Julia had a birthday party and they had kazoo party favors. It has been fun to run around outside with them at the party. So when Quentin blew into the kazoo he expected there to be a normal kazoo sound. Expecting Elliot to give that infectious laugh Quentin could never help himself to not smile at.
When he blew into the kazoo was instead a much better surprise.
"I love you, Quentin."
And Quentin practically spat the kazoo out of his mouth, hand now shaking.
That was his dad’s voice, his dead dad’s voice. Shaking he brought the kazoo up to his mouth again and gave it another blow.
Again there were the same words, yet it was another person's voice.
"I love you, Quentin." That voice was Julia’s, and when he had been expecting his father's voice he couldn't help but give a choked laugh.
"Love you, Q." Margo, who sounded like she was rolling her eyes but she meant it, he knows that. And then Quentin loomed at Elliot.
Beautiful, talented, gorgeous Elliot looked so proud of himself. A gleaming smile as he knew that this present would be kept close to Quentin's heart. Yet, there was a small part of Elliot Quentin that knew was there. The part that worried if Quentin would actually treasure this gift.
Quentin blew into the kazoo.
"I love you, Quentin." It was his dad again, and so Quentin blew again.
"I love you Q." Elliot. Quentin had seen how Eliot's lips hadn't moved yet the sound had clearly been there. Sharp and clear, Quentin had heard Elliot's voice come from the Kazoo.
Again Quentin lowered the kazoo, his hands steadier now. It was placed back into the box and he reached for Elliot.
Once he had reached Elliot he held his face and leaned himself forward.
The kiss was gentle and sweet. His lips were dry, it was cold outside after all. And as the kiss ended he leaned back a bit, rubbing his thumb gently on Elliot's cheek.
"I love you too Elliot. Thank you."
There were a few more kisses, soft as they enjoyed the small intimacy together. Elliot leaned back, smiling at Quentin.
"You didn't even hear them all, Q."
"Oh, well I can do that later."
This time Quentin licked his lips so they wouldn't be as dry as he kissed Elliot again.

"...okay you know what, that's not how it works. Giving a shit about someone you give a shit about, doesn't just evaporate the second they fuck up."

10 Characters, 10 media, (not) 10 tags
Was tagged by @brasideios, was very excited, made a google doc and reworked this way too many times for something not important nor serious.
Favorite 10 characters from ten different medias!
1) Akito Sohma - Fruits Basket manga/reboot anime (one half of my questionable otp, queer (gender?) awakening)
2) Brasidas - AC Odyssey (he’s perf, my therapist knows him by name, I survived covid twice with him by my side so one of us gotta keep going)
3) Erwin Smith - Attack on Titan (Commander Eyebrows/the first man I cried profusely over for days.)
4) Handsome Jack - Borderlands Series (I think he’s neat. Please don’t make me analyze.)
5) Villanelle - Killing Eve (iconic)
6) Elliot Waugh - The Magicians (iconic but sliding to a different side of the iconic scale)
7) Robert Small - Dream Daddy (I once built his house in the sims 3 for like half a year and then my game got corrupted and I lost it all anyways I hope he gets therapy and like...not Joseph)
8) Steve Harrington - Stranger Things (I hated him but then everyone said he’s bi so. Here we are. Also I understand the concussions, buddy)
9) Edmund Pevensie - Chronicles of Narnia (informed my fashion senses, is a little shit, my first cringey fave)
10) Anna Karenina - Anna Karenina 2012 (I just like Kiera Knightley in historical dresses/dramas)
Uhhh @frog-sims, @aeide, I have no one else to tag but porn-bots so enjoy folks!
