Still don’t understand hate to Alice. It seems to me that the main reason is that Quelliot is more popular ship than Qualice. But guys! Why should we choose?
I like Qualice and Quelliot at the same time, and I think they wouldn't mind at all being polyamory triangle. S5 may be weird but thanks for Elliot and Alice supportive dynamics in their common pain.
And this song breaks me every time, when I listen it.

Mosaic Haiku, Chapter 3
Welcome! I'm writing a series of haiku about the Mosaic! Disclaimer, I don't own any of these images (they're from the TV series adapted from Lev Grossman's series, The Magicians, which aired on SyFy). I'm just writing about them, ekphrastic style (seeing the image is an important reference when reading the poem, so I wanted to group them together). To read more about the project, the form, my author's notes (including a few more haiku), and to eventually see some sketches I made of these scenes, please visit the page for this chapter at AO3 (link below). I'm going to be rolling out the sketches as I have time, so please stay tuned for the rerelease! I'm putting this in a new post instead of addin to a reblog as others had been doing bcuz oooh boy was that post getting long, but thank you to @ducksbellorum for thinking of me ;)
3 ships: Lowkey ship Marinler (Lower Decks), always a slut for some Quelliot (Magicians) and no one will ever replace the ever-important John/Aeryn (Farscape)*
1st ship: *See above. Their relationship is just one of the most realistically developed I've ever seen and even from episode 1 I was like "they belong together, once she's done trying to kill him." Fortunately the canon proved me right (although to be fair it's kind of obvious the human will end up with the almost-human, as opposed to the blue plant, morally and literally grey thief, Angry Red Lady, Other Angry Red Lady, or Grandma Third-Eye.)
Last song: Looking Glass by Hypnogaja
Last film: Oh god I don't even remember? I'm mostly catching up on my back-catalog of shows right now so I haven't actually watched a movie in months.
Currently reading: Honestly I barely read anymore, do work documents count??
Currently craving: Feta. I don't care in what form just give me the goat cheese and let me devour it.
Favourite colour: Teal for general aesthetic, but for clothing red (because blue clashes with my skin tone and makes me look pale/dead)
Relationship: "Engaged" but like in a "We're both in this for the long haul but also we are not looking to tie our medical debt together" kind of way.
Last thing I googled: "Was Jabba supposed to have legs?" because I rarely trust "weird facts" I see on the internet
Current obsession: I'm still going mildly feral for Grandson, idk what it is but something about his music just hits right even after I've played it to death.

i was talking to a freind about a quelliot au for their dnd characters and they went off on how i accidently guessed the entire side story that their characters were in . . .also they keep on freaking out about how batshit the magicians were with quelliot

the reason The Magicians is so good is because it has legitimately relatable characters
From the root of the whole story being a very young millennial (allllllllllmost Gen Z) obsessed with the Fillory books, and having a hard time growing up and dealing with the real world as well as very real mental illness and feelings of isolation because he doesn’t fit in, it’s relatable.
Us young millennial and older gen z young adults have that same experience with the Narnia books, books that continue to have lasting similarities to the Fillory story.
But even more then that, The Magicians is about found families (specifically at college), people with good and bad parents, those who are affluent and poor, straight gay and everything in between, people who have nothing to connect them outside of their field of study coming together and forming a group that spans worlds, timelines, and species.
From the level of dumbassery, to the way they speak, so the half nihilist, half optimist outlook they all seem to have on life, they are all wholly relatable.
I would argue it’s one of the best shows on television, if not the best representation I’ve ever seen.
