I love this so much. Just so very sweet and tender. And brave of them both.
After a eventful party , the two would often find themselves curled up in each other's embrace - they are alone finally , no one would judge them and they can be free with each other. Q had always found Eliot alluring yet he never had a chance to to admit it and El had forever blooming feelings that was unknown to him ; was it love.
What if these feelings were mutual and by one simple action had unravel a relationship greater than finding out magic was real.

my fairy godfather wave
his wand, “Dreams come true”?
“Bite peach, activate
spell?” Oh, these lovely pieces,
tumbling through my heart.
If only it’s real.
If you could love me—can I?
Please, grant courage too.

I’m a man of words:
books saved me, their worlds my life.
So I wrote us real,
Story of our lives,
a letter imbued with us,:
our truth. Remember.
Reading brings it back:
proves it happened. Love enters
through eyes. Drink you in.

This taste is unreal.
Best ever. No peach this good.
No peach but Quentin.

Best story I’ve read,
and it’s us? Afraid to look:
will you believe me?

Don't want to wake up,
face the hard part: "Need to talk."
Easy part: "Love you."

Fantasy promised
Wonder, magic, happiness:
Quests, a life well-lived.
But “Fillory is
real” meant danger, death, heartbreak.
Too sad to be king.
Promise, real? Both true.
Love, quest, wonder, joy. Death, grief.
Danger: yes or no?

less daunting than art.
Touch tiles, sort colors.
Feel my way. On-the-fly solves.

apart with no magic; trapped

I wanted wonder
there. Got so much pain. Will I

Mosaic Haiku Table of Contents
Here is your portal to all things Mosaic Haiku!
Welcome! I'm writing a series of haiku about the Mosaic! Disclaimer, I don't own any of these images (they're from the TV series adapted from Lev Grossman's series, The Magicians, which aired on SyFy). I'm just writing about them, ekphrastic style (seeing the image is an important reference when reading the poem, so I wanted to group them together). To read more about the project, the form, my author's notes (including a few more haiku), and to eventually see some mini paintings and sketches I made of these scenes, please visit Mosaic Haiku on AO3 (link to the full work at the end of this Table of Contents; link to each chapter below). I'm going to be rolling out the paintings and sketches as I have time, so please stay tuned for the rerelease! Either way, I hope you'll enjoy these reflections on the best episode of TV (The Magicians, Season 3, Episode 5, “A Life in the Day”) and my favorite ship, Quentin Coldwater/Eliot Waugh!

Mosaic Haiku is live again on Tumblr and AO3
Mosaic Haiku is a favorite project of mine. I've reformatted it so that my fanart will appear with the haiku on AO3, while the original images will appear on Tumblr. Both sets of chapters have links to one another and the Table of Contents at every step of the way.
Table of Contents: The Tumblr post below has a link to all the chapters on both Tumblr and AO3. I will keep this post updated, if you care to bookmark it. It includes information about the stage of completion for the fanart I'm adding to the AO3 chapters. (You can also find this TOC linked from the AO3 posts if it's easier to bookmark there.)
And here's the project on AO3. I've started posting some of the art as of today! Be sure to check back (and refresh your browser) as I will be adding more art from time to time. Where the art is not yet complete, I put in a descriptive marker. There's a link to the original photo beneath each piece of art (or the placeholder description where the art will go). If you find it easier to bookmark in AO3, there are links back to the Tumblr Table of Contents and to each Tumblr chapter where you can view the photos with the poetry in one place.

First painting for Mosaic Haiku Chapter 1!
The first watercolor and the first sketch are up for Chapter 1 (in other words, I'm a little under halfway through making the art for the chapter). It's going to take me a while to make all the art for all the chapters posted thus far, but I'll be working steadily and adding them as I have time! (Please check back and refresh your browser--I might be stealth about it!) I'm experimenting a bit with the art for Mosaic Haiku--trying for a more sketch/cartoon/informal style--hope you like it!
