If so, I would like either one with a theme of orange cats and orchards (colours mainly being orange, green, red, pink, and/or yellow), or one with nova scotia duck tolling retrievers and bodies of water (like rivers, lakes, and waterfalls). i definitely didnt get all the animals when i played but theres so many hidden secrets in the game too, like a ton of collectables and a bunch of hidden mushrooms, im def gonna replay it more throughly

its a bit on the shorter side, 5ish hours to finish but itll def take longer if youre going for all the hidden bits

its definitely worth the 20 smth dollars, i highly recommend

its on both steam and nintendo switch but not as a game card for the switch- it is on sale (nintendo only) for 60% off until december 4th, 2023

So I am finally ready to come to terms with the fact that I'm a Therian.

I've kinda known that I'm one for a while now, thanks to help from friends and a lot of research, but have been scared to come to terms with and accept this part of my identity.

I don't want to be scared anymore. I want to be open about my therianthropy so I can embrace and accept this part of myself.

deer/caribou therian culture is wearing a huge fluffy scarf when ur outside in the cold because it reminds you of the big ole neck fluff your theriotype has. and also that post about needing to duck bc you forget you don't have antlers is so real i went into a store that sold lights the other day and i was terrified of knocking them over before remembering that . i don't actually have antlers!

A Bird's View of Colour

So, for a while I have identified with the term Kafean, and just started getting some brown themed pronouns. I also believe I am brown colourkin. I identify as nonbinary with a very negative relationship with human femininity. But I know that if I ever turned into an animal, I'd be comfortable as a biological female. I am also a bird.

When I see birds with a brown speckled colouration, I find myself drawn to them. Pair of ducks, a hawk, a finch. There's some birds I believe are my theriotypes, but numerous birds are also me in a different way I could never pin down.

What struck me today is the fact that in many birds, being brown is literally a marker of femininity. It's a way, at least in the small birds I know of, of presenting that you:

Carry the role of making a nest and laying eggs.

That male birds dance to catch your eye with flashy feathers.

That you cover your chicks and camouflage with them in the grass

And maybe that simple fact ties my nonhumanity and my gender together.

Unfortunately, this carries over into plenty of other brown speckled birds, including male birds. Why, if gender is important, do guy brown birds register as me?

I think because colour for a bird is also a marker of identity, at least on a human level. A russet sparrow is what it is because of its colour. I am what I am on multiple levels because of my colour. It's the physical side of identity.

In conclusion:

My speckles, spots, barred areas and shades of brown, are as important to me as your chest, piercings, clothes, and tattoos.

I do feel very fish like, but I think I should check out some other aquatic animals as well

Crocodiles for example... I do really love burning hot weather, and something about floating in the water and stalking my prey makes me feel very euphoric?

I should also check out aquatic birds... Maybe my bird urges come from being a goose or a duck? I really don't know

Thing is, I really feel like I should be able to breathe underwater. Knowing I'm unable to makes me feel very helpless... But then again, that could just be my brain being a bit afraid of rivers and stuff.
