I can't go over everything yet (spoilers), but I do want to talk about a fun thing about Techno being in the role of Wilbur in my Roleshuffle AU.
So, in the dsmp canon, Wilbur doesn't find Eret out due to two reasons: 1. Eret is competent. He's a good liar. 2. WIlbur is too arrogant to think someone would do that.
On the other hand, with Techno in the role of Wilbur and Connor, above all people, in the role of Eret, I hit a wall. Would Techno figure him out? I decided Yes, but also No. Think about c!Techno. He lets people betray him. When he teams with Tommy, he asks Tommy a few times if he's sure he wants to do this. He doubled checked that Tommy wanted to betray him. Twice, if I'm remembering correctly. When Quackity invited him to the prison, Techno knew it was a trap. But he went anyways. He let Quackity betray his trust. I feel like this is partially because of Techno's hubris ('TECHNOBLADE NEVER DIES"), but there's more to it than that. See, when Techno has friends, he protects them at all costs. He wanted Ranboo to make it, and got angry when he was killed. He wanted to protect Phil more than anything. He cared about the Syndicate. He cared about Tubbo, and felt bad enough about killing him to apologize to him. I'm not positive, but I think that's the only time in the series that Techno apologizes. Ever. So, in short, Techno wants and values his friends, to the point where he'll give them second chances again and again. He'll let them betray him right up until the last second, giving them all the chances they need to take it back. He wants them to take it back.
I feel like there's also a point similar to this to be said about Techno and his inability to lie (I think the only person he lies successfully to is Tommy, who would've believed anyone at that point in his arc), but that's a conversation for a different day...

The thing that fascinates me the most in primeboys, is how different Tommy and Dream view their “game”.
Tommy doesn’t even see it as that, it might’ve been a game to him before the L’Manburg Independence War, but after - it was always more. And for him, the endgame was getting his discs, a bit later - killing Dream, but there was always some sort of end to it.
Remember their talk during Doomsday?
Tommy: Our story isn't over Dream, but it will be.
Dream: I don't think it'll ever be over. You're too fun.
Gods do I love the last part of this sentence. I think the reason why Dream thinks of Tommy like that is because it’s really never an end to their “game”, no real winner.
Exile was almost a victory for Dream, it would’ve been, with most likely protege AU becoming real, if we’re considering cc!Dream’s recent tweet, but despite everything working out in Dream’s favor, Tommy won that fight. He escaped. He ruined Dream’s plans, made him quickly think of new ways to get Tommy under his control.
The prison. As my theory goes, the way of possibly getting Tommy in his exile mindset, the way for Dream to correct the mistakes he made back then. But Tommy ruins it too, and Dream kills him, and he, although winning in a way, still has to think of something else, make new plans. A draw.
The game never ends for Dream. Every time he’s close to winning, Tommy somehow finds a way to defy him, does something unexpected, avoids every path Dream builds for him.
That’s why the game is fun. Because it has no end and never will. And that’s why Dream doesn’t just barge into Tommy’s house and takes him to his torture lab instead of Vikk and Lazar.
Because that wouldn’t be fun, isn’t it?

DSMP: RP lost all strength after one (1) year, unconnected storylines and most of the headcannoning work done by the fandom
Stampy’s Lovely World: Interconnected plots, running for over 750+ episodes, not reliant on fan works for inspiration, raised thousands, still using incredible plot lines and scripted role play to this day, recurring characters, mature themes etc

Don’t mind me getting overly emotional as I muse about c!sbi for a second.
It’s always been hard for me to choose a side when it comes to c!sbi. It’s quite obvious you either sympathize with crime boys or emerald duo. Sympathizing with both make my little hobby of starting pointless but lighthearted discourse tricky. Many people make the assumption I’m arguing for cTechno cuz I don’t like or otherwise don’t sympathize with cTommy which couldn’t be further from the truth. I fully understand the motives of, and sympathize with both sides, I just prefer to side with the generally less morally sound option since playing the devil’s advocate in the context of a silly little minecraft roleplay is so god damn fun for some reason.
I love and relate to all four in very different ways though, their stories all have a unique perspective to explore. And I believe the comfort I get from each all ties back to my experience growing up quite perfectly. CWilbur deals with a mounting level of responsibility and expectations he never asked for, while all the others seem to do is look on from the sidelines and feed the fire by expecting him to fix it all. That feeling of being held down in the water by the people who want you to learn to swim. CPhil always represented my capacity to choose flight (Ha get it cuz he’s a bird? No? I’ll see myself out), to let my anxiety get the best of me and leave prematurely even if I could have gotten through it. Whether that flight is literal or only in my head, when I’m at my worst you won’t be able to find me. It’s the comfort of being on my own, of escaping to my imagination, oh the love I have for people I’ll never know and a home that only exists on a minecraft server.
CTommy is obvious when it comes to the subject of growing up isn’t he? I just grew up too quick, cared about the wrong things. Maturity, the opinions of people who never cared how it effected me, the bias and hate that I wouldn’t truly experience for years. It was all to my detriment because I cared so much, in that way I guess I hadn’t grown up that much anyways. But cTechno is the most poignant. It’s an awful way to grow up, feeling isolated and borderline dehumanized for something you can’t control, for the way your brain works specifically. Nothing quite feels right, until you find your people that is. People who don’t ignore it or see past it but know it, and know you like no one else has even been able to. I realized there’s a hugely impactful theme of acceptance in cTechnos character I never noticed before now I frame it like that. In the end he’s happy. He creates beautiful things, bonds, homes, atmospheres, all precisely because he embraces himself and what makes him happy. It really does feel like a love letter to every neurodivergent person who feels alienated, he really was a fantastic storyteller.

do you think c!dream resented c!tommy because c!sapnap was on c!tommy’s side during the first disc war?
dream stated in the last lore stream that he wanted everything to be simple and it was inferred that dream really did everything to just get back to sapnap and george. did dream just see tommy as the first crack in their friendship and did everything in his power to stop tommy?
also seeing the friendship between tommy and tubbo could give dream extra resentment, clingyduo always come back to each other, dream never got that with the dream team
i’m not a c!dream apologist bc boy is a literal murderer and sociopath but finally having this missing link in his brain explains so much

If you stop to think about it, the Dream SMP didn't know what death was before c!Wilbur and c!Tommy and the "3 canon death" thing.
If you put that into perspective. c!Dream would have known immortality before he knew death. Death being permeant wasn't the norm before and therefore his unwillingness to except deaths and his drive to find out all about it and how to avoid it is kind of understandable (even tho his methods were completely and utterly wrong and evil. Don't twist this. c!Dream was a villain and he did a lot of awful things in the name of his objective.). As well as c!Tommy's view on mortality. That's all he ever known.
Imagine that you and your friends live in a peaceful place, where war and death are just not a thing at all and then suddenly this group of people show up bringing exactly that, and all your attempts to stop it and go back to how things were before are met with accusations of you being this selfish and evil being. There comes a point were c!Dream's just accepts that role and destroys that group's nation (the thing that caused all his pain to happen in the first place) and people agree on a peace treaty, even if only motivated by fear. c!Dream probably felt relief and hope that everything would go back to normal. He learned that power and fear werr the best solution... Only for his best friend's house to be grieved again...
It hadn't been enough. Being a bad guy hadn't been enough. He needed to be a straight up super villain. Maybe if they feared him more it would work. They had poked the snake enough, it was time to bite back. So he exiled c!Tommy and when that wasn't enough because even without him the war continued with c!Tubbo planing to kill him. He made sure to destroy l'manburg down to the last block.
And during all of this, he discovered the revive book. Maybe he couldn't go back to the old days, but if he was powerful enough maybe he could make sure at least death wasn't permanent anymore. If the world wanted to be fragmented and in constant war, at least he could make sure people could still be brought back.
And the funny part of this is that you know who are the only 2 characters that got brought back outside of the experiments? The only ones that escaped the 3 canon death rule? It were the ones responsible for bringing that rule to the server in the first place.
c!Tommy and c!Wilbur.

(this is copied from a thread i posted on twitter, hence the vernacular LMAO - a take on fandom discourse from someone who is probably an idiot for posting so be warned)
i try not to speak up about this because of how volatile all the threads involved in c! discourse seems to be but man
everyone likes characters in a narrative they created. there is so much content and so much going on in each viewer’s head that a unanimous interpretation or ‘true’ narrative just doesn’t exist. whether people watch animatics, the original streams, interact with fanart/writing or simply read the events- regardless of what ccs they watch- there is ALWAYS going to be a difference in interpretation that can vary from minute to massive! nobody can constantly consider everything a character has done. the info will fall out of your head, and you won’t realize it! you’ll fill it in with your own perspective! it happens to everyone and it is not a bad thing!
i genuinely worry about getting myself into pqrt territory saying this because this exact thing is my reason to just be and let be, but sometimes it’s ok to let people live with their narratives that contradict your own, regardless of whether one adheres more to ‘canon’ or cc stated information. i am biased towards c!wilbur, probably because i like the cc’s content so much, and i am content to think of dream as a true villain without much interest to look at his full story, and fill in the gaps with stuff that fits my view. that doesn’t mean i think c!dream apologists are bad people or that they condone the behaviour i see c!dream as having! they do the exact same thing i do, and if they want to consume dsmp content thru that lens i dont have any right to come up to them and tell them otherwise.
i’ve been posting for a week but lurking for a year, and ive seen a saddening amount of threads where people share takes and analysis that is meant to stay within their narrative circle (i.e c!wilbur/c!quackity/c!dream apologists or fans) and are attacked with ‘objective’ or subjective fact (objectivity barely exists here, it’s ok to reject canon) from people who are not the target of that analysis. let people talk about their narratives and how they perceive the story, it takes more energy to fight rather than let others be. block people, it’s easy! but coming into someone’s thread angry because their analysis doesn’t fit ‘canon’ is more a show of your character than a productive way of ‘guiding’ others, which is inherently unnecessary within a fandom as broad as this. bias is fine. ignoring parts of canon to create a narrative you prefer for the cc you like is fine!
i know that me saying this inherently contradicts with the belief that nobody should be a fandom authority, why listen to some random person .etc .etc, and i’m genuinely sorry if this upsets you or feels targeted because that was not my intent!
i haven’t even been on twt for a few days aha, honestly that was the catalyst for thinking about this. ive been censoring my own takes on characters because i *know* i have extreme bias and like to twist canon to fit narratives i like, but i am incredibly worried people will take that as me insinuating that is ‘fact’ rather than my personal experience and takeaway if i speak publicly about it. so hopefully having this up will give me something easy to qrt when and if i get into arguments?
peace to all of u, controversial character lovers and haters and everyone in between, go love ur funny block people, the only thing anyone should care about is whether you enjoy it :)
thanks for reading!

Im not really properly caught up on lore, but does anyone else find the plot point of people finding out about c!Tommy’s abuse and attempted suicid3 without Tommy’s knowledge like. Really gross?
It’s such a personal topic in general, and constantly seeing people within the story use it as like. Some sort of shock factor or to get a desired reaction/feeling/lesson out of their character is really fucking wrong to me… Especially when that character has little to no connection to Tommy what-so-ever.
Idk. Like, I know people can write their characters** to come upon Logstedshire without knowing, for example Tubbo (I’ll get into him in a sec), but with how it’s being treated, it’s dragging an onslaught of constant reminders of literally the lowest point of c!Tommy’s storyline, even if it’s well intended mourning/condolences (which I don’t even understand why they would do that considering the character I’m referring to has never had a single interaction with c!tommy ever). From a writing point of view it’s just pointlessly damaging to a character that’s already been damaged enough.
And sure, you can argue that it was a purposeful writing decision to set up for character growth or characterization, but like so many people have said: It’s getting old re-using one of the most pivotal moments in the story that, once again, has absolutely no relevance to your character.
(A perfect solution to this would’ve been c!eret telling c!aimsey that there’s a time and a place, and that it’s not their place to tell them what had happened! Gasp!!! I managed to imply the severity of the situation without directly disrespecting the victim effected 🎉🎉)
Anyways. Looping back to my first point. C!Tommy had willingly and openly stated what had happened at Logstedshire to one person, and that is because that one person is close enough to Tommy for him to feel safe and willing to share this information. If other characters have found out about it, they have no right to bring it up, even implicitly, until Tommy has. And it’s certainly not the job of someone else to bring others to a place that has no effect on them personally. Like I know it sounds like I’m preaching to imaginary characters rn, but I’m really preaching to the cc’s to know how to write respectfully when they decide to include themselves into a plot involving themes of su!c!de !!!! It just feels disrespectful and there’s easy solutions to the problems you want to tackle that aren’t this
Anyways I lied I’m gonna talk about Tubbo/clingyduo in a separate post cause this is taking too much brain power for me to figure out my wording (also it’s 4am and I have class at 9 oops)
** People out of character can also run into it on accident but I assume it has no relevance to the story considering they should be ooc :pp

🗡😈 🪦 for the ask game? heheh
Thank you for the ask sm!!! 💕💕💕I really enjoyed trying to formulate my opinion on all this stuff!!!
🗡 - Was Phil killing Wilbur justified?
I used to be way more torn about this but the longer I’ve been in the fandom the more I dislike c!Phil. This, of his many shitty actions, is one on the more justifiable but I still find it shitty as hell. Ain’t no way you should help a suicide attempt like that, especially of your son oh my godddd
😈 - Is Quackity a villainous character?
My opinion is SO biased since Q is literally my favorite along with Tommy but no, I can never see Quackity as a villain. He’s just a guy, a poor little meow meow, if you will. But seriously, for him safety and caring for the people he loves have always been a priority. And yes, he may have stumbled along the way but I truly think his heart is too big to be a true villain, caring too much is literally his weakness
🪦 - Should L'manberg have been destroyed?
I don’t really get this question. I’m assuming like… in general? Like, was it alright that it was so doomed? And to that I say Of Course Not! Both original and New L’Manburg were beautiful cities full of hope and love. They were a place where people could be close to each other, have a community. You know, like when you’re nobody’s best friend, you still had people to vibe with. So no, L’Manburg should have never been destroyed, DUH

A not-so-brief discussion of my Techno design, mainly because I'm really proud of it....
First of all, don't get me wrong, I love the big, burly, Piglin-style designs of Techno, and the anime-looking hybrid design with the ~snazzy~ braid is nice. However, when I was designing Techno, I really fell in love with the idea of him just being an overworld pig. For one, it's skin accurate, but to delve deeper into it:
Techno, like all of the sbi children, runs on theatrics. While Wilbur uses it in terms of his charisma and wit, and Tommy practically runs on distractions and diversions (of varying success), Techno creates an air of intimidation. And, it's not that he's naturally intimidating--he's playing it up. It's theatre. Naturally, he's mildly awkward, cracking jokes, and, above all, scared of death. If you go back to a lot of the moments before a battle or confrontation, you can see that he's panicking. Whether it be as obvious as when the Butcher Army came for him, or a little more subtle, like when he and Dream were prepping for the big L'Manberg battle. That isn't the most intimidating personality.
He knows it, though. That's where the theatrics come in. He dresses himself up in red and armor, with a glittering crown. His tactics are terrifying, even if they aren't the most effective. He lets withers loose, even though they may attack him or his allies. He brings in so many wolves that he can barely move. Dream, to contrast, uses more effective, more technical methods. He sets up TNT droppers, he makes lava walls, he fights alone. While his methods are more effective, in the final battle, who are people more scared of? Techno. He uses those tactics not because they're technically the most effective, but because they're intimidating. Think of his iconic phrase: "Technoblade never dies." Making that something that people automatically associate with you will make them afraid of you, and that's on purpose. Techno uses these theatrics to seems intimidating.
I decided to draw him as an overworld pig because he isn't naturally intimidating. Drawing him as such forced me to make him intimidating through other means. Expression, camera angle, lighting, ect.. As my comic progresses and we get more into battle scenes, you'll see more and more what I mean, but yeah. I love my silly little Techno design.

Love seeing the absolute garbage takes about the lore yesterday on Twitter. You can really tell who has and hasn't been a fandom space before. The chance that you will be satisfied by the ending of any series you love is so absolutely tiny it's not even funny.
The DSMP team managed to put together literally a world wide sensation by accident. We, the fans, put pressure on them to keep turning it up a notch until they were like boiling frogs. They were already too far in by the time they realized the heat and pressure.
I think that was honestly the best ending I can imagine that would've been satisfying. It would've taken another year for them to even attempt to tie up every loose end. Sure it was pretty fast, but they are all excited to get a clean slate with the knowledge of Era One.
The ending of "In the end none of it mattered, and it didn't save us. But it is finally over." Is really the only ending for this group of incredibly morally grey characters that I think I would've been okay with. It kept the tone.
If the end were Dream and George riding off into the sunset while kissing, and Sapnap, Quackity and Karl making up, Tommy and Tubbo playing the disc on the bench and Ranboo reviving to take care of Michael (which are the main complaints I've seen) it would not have felt finished. Really anything where the discs survive the ending would've felt incomplete as the discs have come to represent the never ending cycle of Dream and Tommy fighting. But the thing we know about this world is that it is terribly cynical and cyclical. If we got the happy ending, we know that when the camera cuts there WILL be conflict again. There is no permanent happy ending for the DSMP, it is impossible. The only happy ending is an ending where the cycle stops.

I miss debating ppl about c!Techno. . . . .
Hot take c!Techno was morally correct in the November 16th confrontation. Literally perfect example of him being deliberately lied to and used. Plus everyone else just skipped the democratic process all together.

Man I'm sick of using twt but theres so many cool artists/moots I follow on there but man I could no longer ignore the c!Wilbur slander so I'm putting it here
(also I know its ironic for a writer but I'm sorry if this uh badly worded lol but c!will is very dear to me as someone with self destructive tendencies and general mental health issues that I relate to him with)
One he's not perfect and has done some messed up shit but comparing him c!dream is absolutely just downplaying his mental Iillness which was what c!dream used to have him spiral and ok ye it's an explanation but he was not thinking up to his final moments and by spiral I mean a self destructive one.
One where you found yourself not caring once again, one where you want everything that you've ever created to go down with you, a spiral that makes you do things so people hate you.
So you have a reason.
So you can be the captain that goes down with the ship.
And just idk like they have such fuckn difference to eachother and it's just so fucked to compare c!Wilbur to a canonical manipulative child abuser who not only has tormented c!Tommy mentally but physically too which I don't believe c!Wilbur has done
And not to um mention that it's kinda disrespectful to the original creators ideas and stories for wilburs character like I'm not saying you should read every cc!wilbur's stuff outside of streams (I mean the Wilbur van is very awesomely written so I recommend) but like see the context the subtext
He cares abt tommy and loves him like a brother, in an unhealthy way but still he cares and yet again his emotions override and he does shit in the most selfish way possible
Hes susposed to be flawed, to be fucked up in the head and still he's a person. He has feelings, aspirations, and loved ones and he cares, maybe cares too much to the point of self destruction but he cares.
Unlike c!dream, c!Wil cares and loves the people around him

Here is my silly little c!tubbo poem kinda ?
Mr. president.
A man I saw not only build my house but made my house a home. Mr.president a word held with a great honor and respect.
A man who yelled and spat, a man who lied with a sharp grin a man with a voice that commanded fear over respect. Mr president a word held with fear and panic.
A kid afraid and alone with the whole world on his shoulders with his country looking to him for help. Mr. president a word held with disappointment.
Mr president a word held with a memory of a simpler time a memory of forgiveness.

If C!Wilbur and C!Fundy lived in Utah for their youths, then...
What did C!Wilbur do to gain a British accent? Did he watch Planet Earth or another show for the word learning and accent?
How did C!Fundy learn Dutch?? Even if his dutch is considered ‘broken’, how did he learn it?
