Reactions to Deal Maker's Chapter 203
TL;DR - Ahn Roh Man tells more of his parents and the game. Alberu feels strange when he sees Ahn Roh Man smiling brightly like him. Alberu becomes the Roan Kingdom's first player of the game. Cale has to give a speech in the academy.
RMPAG We got to know more about the game and Ahn Roh Man's family. His parents suddenly died in an accident when he was 10, so he was then raised by his uncle and aunt, somewhat becoming part of the Transparent family.
He only figured out the truth behind his parents when he played the game. His parents hid an AI in the game, and the Transparent Co was unaware of it. The AI became Ahn Roh Man's friend and hyung (because it was born a year earlier than him), and helped him attain number 1 in the rankings.
There was also the fact that his initial username was "Unfilial Son" before he changed it to "Searching for the Taerang Thief Bastard."
Oh yeah, Ahn Roh Man called the game as RMPAG, which is the abbreviation of Raising My Precious Absolute God.
Alberu and Ahn Roh Man Funny part of today's chapter. Ahn Roh Man had a bright smile when he told the two that he had a very friendly relationship with the Transparent family. Raon remarked that he had the same smile when Alberu was about to scam someone.
And Alberu's reaction. It was shock. He was shocked to meet someone of the same kind as him. 🤣🤣🤣
Gamer Alberu Ahn Roh Man suggested to install the game in Taerang and have someone play it. Cale and Alberu began pushing the task to each other... 😂
Alberu: … Cale. Cale: Yes, hyung-nim. Alberu: Do you want to borrow Taerang? Cale: I have to go to Aipotu and work hard? Alberu: …I'm busy too? Cale: Thanks to you, I can go out and save the world without worrying about Roan! Hyung-nim, I respect you! Alberu: … *covers face with both hands* Ahn Roh Man (ARM): Don't worry, Me and my hyung, I mean, the AI from earlier. Anyway, we'll carry you. Alberu: …Carry? ARM: It means to help you become stronger easily. Alberu: … Haa…. This is driving me crazy. Cale: Hyung-nim, I believe in you. Alberu: Ha. Let's give it a try.
What was so funny was the narrator's words after that scene. Alberu became the first player of the game in the Roan Kingdom. And his username? Irreverent Emperor... 🤣🤣🤣
It could also mean disrespectful or blasphemous, but irreverent sounds cooler, so I used it. But Alberu calling himself 'emperor'? Is he planning to turn the Roan Kingdom into an empire?
But that did not stop there. The narrator continued that Cale would never have dreamed of the chaos this player would create in the future... 😂 Ahn Roh Man, what are you planning to teach Alberu? Is Alberu going to be like you in the future, shouting hyunpi and game terms? 🤣🤣🤣
Cale's Speech But our overworked Alberu got his revenge on Cale for forcing him to play the game... by making Cale give the speech in the academy's opening ceremony. 🤣🤣🤣
Of course, the 3 kids were excited to hear Cale's speech, and Cale could only frown when he realized Alberu's intention. 😂
Ending Remarks Today had a lot of funny moments. It ended with a message from GoD saying that Cale's request to move the black castle (where Sherrit lived) to Aipotu had been approved. Woah. So it's going to be a dragon lord versus a dragon lord fight? How exciting!
I still harbor some disappointment with the recent chapter. We still have no news of what happened to CJS or Sui, and Cale's conversation with Ron seemed to have been forgotten again. 😞Author-nim, even a mention of them would have been enough! PLEASE DON'T FORGET THEM!

Hiiiiiii
If it’s not too much trouble, could you do a platonic team star x team star member!reader who became a dragon type specialist squad leader and joined because they got bullied for being a fan of other famous dragon type users like Lance and Raihan?
(Sorry if this is too specific)
Oh no worries, I like specific so it's all good!
..........
"I'm gonna be just like them one day.." Sighing dreamily, you sat down at the cafeteria table, watching a video on your rotomphone while chowing down breakfast.
It was footage of a fierce Pokémon battle in Galar--a showdown between two of your idols, who were among the most famous dragon trainers of all time: Lance and Raihan.
Of course, you looked up to many other dragon type users in Paldea, but these two in particular kickstarted your dreams of becoming one yourself, inspired by their interviews and fierce determination.
You also hoped to meet them and have a battle, although that was a little too farfetched for you right now..
Yet you didn't let that discourage you from forming your own dragon team, using your studies at Uva/Naranja Academy to teach them all the best moves and remember type matchups.
Tatsugiri was your main partner, and when combined with your Dondozo..it was an absolute powerhouse in double-battles--albeit this academy usually focused on the traditional single battles.
You were also currently raising a Drakalok, Cyclizar, Arctibax, and Sliggoo, and you cherished all of them dearly. Tatsugiri was a bit of an attention hog at times, though, and always wanted to stay out of its ball and on your shoulder.
You didn't mind it, of course. Whether you're heading to class or to a tournament where dragon trainers were going to participate, you always went together.
Life was perfect.
Except for-
"Still prattling on about being the next famous dragon gym leader, huh?"
-one of your bullies already ruining your day before it could even begin.
For some reason..a few kids at the academy really had it out for you simply because you admired famous dragon trainers. You didn't think there was anything wrong with looking up to your idols. But apparently they thought you were being too "obnoxious" about it and sought to make your life utterly miserable.
It only got worse when you spoke up about it to a teacher, as that bully got off with nothing but a slap on the wrist--that being to train their Pokémon as "punishment".
By sheer convenience, they had ice and fairy types. And that teacher only gave them the chance to make their team stronger and further intimidate you...to the point where you're afraid to go outside, fearing they'll drag you into a battle.
You've kept silent since, hoping to avoid them at all costs and try to keep your grades up. But unfortunately, Arceus wasn't smiling upon you today...and quite frankly, you were tired.
Huffing, you switched off your phone and scowled up at the bully. "Still following me around campus, huh?" You mocked, with Tatsugiri hopping on the table and mimicking your expression. "That's kinda creepy if you ask me."
"Well those stupid fangs of yours are creeping everyone out." They sneered, pointing out your sharp teeth. "Halloween is over, y'know."
"I've already told you..these are canines, and they are real."
"Yeah? More like real freaky."
"Look, just leave me alone before you anger Tatsugiri." You warned, watching as their gaze shifted to your ace, falling silent for a moment or two...
Before erupting into laughter. "Oh wow, I'm soooooo scared of your stupid sushi roll! What ever will I do??" They shook their head. "If you want my advice, dump this thing and get yourself a real dragon. Like a Charizard or-"
"You don't get to decide WHO I can have as a partner!!!" Your hands slammed onto the table as you stood up, fists clenched with anger. Even though you could see people's heads turning in your peripheral vision, you didn't care. "Tatsugiri may not look it, but it's more powerful than you'll ever know! You don't know our bond, so just back off already!!"
"Oooooh, I didn't know you knew Outrage..better not hit yourself in confusion." They snickered.
"...why are you like this?" With slumped shoulders, you frowned at them. "Why do you keep tormenting me day after day?! I've done nothing to you. Is it a crime to admire my heroes? To wanna be like them?"
"No, but you'd be an embarrassment to every future dragon tamer. I mean who'd wanna see a pathetic thing like that in the Elite Four? Or on a Champion's team? Raihan and Lance would laugh in your face and crush you if they saw-"
"STOP IT!!" You finally snapped, hitting the table again before taking out one of your pokeballs. "Do you want a battle?! Is that what you want?!! Then you'll get it-!!"
"[Y/n], what is the meaning of this?"
Hearing the voice of the director made all the color drain from your face. The bully just smirked as you slowly turned to Harrington, seeing him looking at you with a frown.
"This is the second disturbance you've caused in this same area. You know battles aren't permitted inside the academy."
It's only then did you realize everybody in the cafeteria was staring..and you shrunk back in embarrassment. "I-I'm sorry, Director. I didn't mean to shout. They were just-"
But when you tried to point out the bully, they were gone.
How convenient.
"From how it looks..you were intimidating them. And you should also know we have a zero tolerance policy for such behavior."
"But I wasn't..they-!" You tried in vain to defend yourself, yet the look on Harrington's face told you he didn't wanna hear any of it.
"We can discuss this further in my office. Return your Tatsugiri to its pokeball and follow me, if you will."
"....yes, sir." Defeated, you gathered your things and put Tatsugiri back into the pokeball (much to its dismay), before commencing the long walk of shame to the director's office.
Maybe he will believe you.
.......
"He didn't believe me either. What's the point of "standing up for myself" if I'm just gonna get in trouble?! What's the point if they're always gonna get away with it while I face suspension?!"
"Suu.."
"I know I kinda let myself go back there, but...th-they kept pushing me and pushing me! Why couldn't he understand that? Why doesn't anyone here understand-?!"
"Tasu!"
Calming yourself down a little, you looked to Tatsugiri, who sat on your bed and looked up at you with sad eyes, wishing you weren't being so harsh on yourself.
"....well, I know you understand me, buddy." You quietly sighed and sat down, bringing it into your hands as it nuzzled your cheek. Immediately your shoulders relaxed. "I'm sorry. Thank you. I'm just...it's been frustrating. But I swear I'll never replace you for any other dragon. Not even for a shiny Charizard."
"Yip-yip?!" It cried out.
"Believe me! I won't." You chuckled, although you stopped as you thought over this morning's events...
And suddenly you felt sick to your stomach.
Just thinking about going to your afternoon class today made you feel ill, wondering who was going to harass you two next...and if you'll be able to do anything about it without getting into trouble with the director.
Now that you've gotten your second strike, you had to be careful not to lash out like that again.
But what else were you supposed to do?
Let them continue to bully you around and make your poor partner feel absolutely worthless? How was that fair to either of you?
At this point, you've ran out of adults in this academy to talk to...besides the nurse, of course, although she seemed more adept at healing Pokémon than counseling students.
Even if she was willing to listen, you doubt anything would change.
Nobody here took your side or could possibly understand what you were going through-
"Roto-to-to~"
Your rotomphone started ringing, displaying an unknown caller ID. Normally you'd ignore it, although Tatsugiri had a better idea and decided to slap the screen with its fin, answering it.
"Tatsu!" You grumbled, pulling it away from your phone before addressing the stranger, feeling embarrassed. "Sorry! My Pokémon-"
"Greetings, am I speaking to [y/n]?"
".....uh...yeah?" Your eyebrows furrowed with confusion, not expecting to hear a distorted voice on the other end of the line. "And who am I speaking to exactly?"
"My name is Cassiopeia. Leader of Team Star."
"Team Star?" You blinked, remembering all of the rumors you've heard about this organization. They were a small group of kids who got bad grades, skipped school often...and sometimes harassed others into joining them or pulled pranks on teachers.
Why would their leader contact you?
Or better yet...how did they even get ahold of your number?
"Correct. We've been watching you for some time, and we see your pain. It must feel awful...being pushed around and intimidated all because you admire some famous trainers. And when you finally have the courage to defend yourself and your Pokémon...suddenly you're the bad guy? It's so unfair."
"How do you.....l-look, um..Cassiopeia. I got a lot going on right now." You mumbled, hoping to end this conversation quickly. "I'm facing suspension if I cause one more scene, so I don't think I should be talking to delinquents like-"
"That is a lie. Team Star isn't a group of delinquents. We're so much more than that." They interrupted you, sounding a bit annoyed. "The truth is that WE are the victims. We who were shamed and excluded for the crime of being ourselves. The system has failed us, [y/n], and we formed this group as a way to stand up and stand out."
"...ah, I see." Now you were growing a bit more understanding and sympathetic towards them. You always had a feeling that your classmates overexaggerated how "evil" this team really was, making comparisons to Team Rocket and organizations that were legitimately evil and criminal.
But obviously, you never put your two cents in. You were already getting bullied enough just for saying Lance and Raihan are cool dragon trainers you wished to meet.
You were already getting bullied enough just for admiring some famous dragon trainers.
"So...obviously you're trying to sell me something." You huffed, kicking your feet up on the desk. "You want me to join your team as one of your goons-?"
"Oh no. I actually have something much better in mind." Cassiopeia cut in once more. "We've seen how you battle with dragon types. Very impressive, I must say. You never back down from a challenge. You're fierce, protective..and you demonstrate incredible leadership."
That felt flattering to hear, considering all the times you've gotten criticized for your battling techniques during Ms. Dendra's class.
Recently, she actually made you apologize to your classmate, whose Pokémon was actively bullying yours and provoked it into using a powerful move that knocked it out in one hit.
Why was that such a problem?
Because you weren't supposed to be battling, but the bully kept pushing you into one--and of course, Ms. Dendra didn't see that part.
Only the part where you broke the "No-OHKO" rule she had written into her lesson plan for that day.
Now you were struggling to get your grades back up in battle strategies, which was hard since you gained a reputation as being "too aggressive"..when in reality you were just so afraid and fed up that no one would listen to you.
So hearing this complete stranger give you praise felt genuinely good.
"Oh! Ah...thank you." You decided to bite the bullet. "So what's your offer?"
"We believe you're a good fit to be a squad leader. We have one more slot available. Interested?"
Your heart immediately jumped at the opportunity, although part of you was still holding back.....wondering if it was worth getting mixed-up with people like Cassiopeia and Team Star's revered leaders.
This could very well throw away your entire future and your goals of becoming the next dragon type gym leader. You could be expelled for sure, or even blacklisted from partaking in tournaments.
But at the same time, you were so tired of living in fear and dealing with all of this alone.
Why should you have to? That's setting a terrible example for your Pokémon--they shouldn't have to see their trainer living like that. You had to be brave and stronger, but that was almost impossible if you were just going to suffer repercussions for trying.
Cassiopeia took your silence as hesitation. "I know this is a lot to think about. But trust me, [y/n]. Team Star can do more for you than the Academy ever did. You'll get to train without limits. Your name will be known by all, and nobody will mock you or Tatsugiri ever again. That is what you want, isn't it? To grow stronger together? To stand up against those who wronged you?"
Hearing them mention your partner made you look to the Mimicry Pokemon in your lap. Seeing the way they put their fin on your hand and gave you a small nod ultimately solidified your answer.
You weren't turning back now.
"We can discuss this tomorrow if you'd like-"
"No, I made up my mind. I'll take it. When do I start?"
..........
"Looking sharp as always, Revavroom."
With a sharp-toothed grin, you gently patted the head of your Starmobile--specifically the Revavroom attached to it, as it rumbled in happiness.
Then you hopped onto the vehicle, climbing up to the stage where you could survey the rest of your camp, observing your goons hanging out by the vending machines and driving around on their Cyclizars.
This was the Achird Squad base stationed at Casseroya Lake, and for about a year or so...you've also called it home.
The location was perfect for a mighty dragon leader such as yourself, allowing you to keep watch over the Tatsugiri and Dratini herds you'd see in the waters from time to time.
It was far better than the cramped dorms of the Academy. They would never have let your dragons roam free like Dragapult, Baxcalibur, and all the rest were doing right now..
Ever since joining Team Star, you never looked back and never regretted your decision. You became fast friends with the other bosses, with Atticus even designing some cool armor plates for your outfit that resembled a Kommo-o's scales.
Although things have been...rather weird as of late.
Especially since it was the anniversary of the incident.
Back at the Academy, you and all of the leaders came together with the ultimate to confront your bullies once and for all. It was meant to finally settle who was the strongest, and how you were sick of being pushed around.
Least to say..the tables have turned, and everyone knew your names.
The bullies ended up running scared, barely putting up a fight themselves before scrambling to heal and recall their Pokémon.
You felt pretty good about it, especially when you knocked out that jerk who made fun of your teeth and admiration for dragon trainers in one fell swoop.
But then you looked around and saw everyone's scared faces. Many were recording the battles, spreading them all over social media, or shielding their own Pokémon from potential harm--even though you never intended to hurt them whatsoever.
It turned into a huge scandal over who was in the right or wrong, although in the end your bullies played the victims, dropped out of school, and ended up being listened to the most.
They made you out to be monsters who just attacked them for no reason..and it almost got you all expelled.
However, Cassiopeia took the blame, and while you were pardoned, Harrington, the deputy director (who tried erasing all records of the scandal and bullying to "preserve" the Academy's image), and many teachers left, guilty that they didn't do more to prevent this.
It would have been a bittersweet victory for Team Star---had your leader not also vanished, their last message being a call for the organization to disband.
To this day, none of you understood why they'd do that...or why they think you'd ever wanna leave this team and go back to your studies.
How could you after the faculty messed up this badly?
How could you after they still sided with the bullies?
How could you after they tried to cover up what really happened?
In the end, you all promised to stick together, abiding by your codes and living out on the squad bases. You occasionally met up for discussions and battle plans, although you always held onto hope that if the team kept going long enough....Cassiopeia might come back.
You've tried contacting them through various means, yet none of your Rotoms could retrace their calls nor social media posts. Everything was gone.
As though they wanted you all to forget ever meeting them..
It never made sense to you, considering you could really use a leader back then.
But what's done is done, and you winded up assuming a de factor leader position, given your team was the strongest out of all of theirs. Of course, Ortega was less-than-pleased about holding a vote on it, but you won the majority and he eventually got over it.
Now you've been training your Pokémon more frequently, and only because there's something called "Operation: Starfall" going around--and apparently some Paldean trainer was going around tackling each base with the hope of claiming their badges.
One of the codes was that being defeated in battle meant surrendering it, and that means...
Someone was dead set on shutting down Team Star for good.
But you wouldn't let them. The other bosses were your friends, family..and you'll be damned if you lost them, too.
"Boss! The others are comin' in!" You heard one of the grunts shout, and you looked towards the horizon in surprise.
She wasn't kidding.
Ortega, Mela, Eri, Giacomo, and Atticus were at your base's entrance, waiting for you. Although you were eager to see them after being occupied with training for so long...it didn't concern you that all of them chose to show up at once.
But you refused to show any sort of alarm, huffing as you jumped off the stage, mounting your partner Cyclizar. "Let's ride!" You barked, allowing it to sprint towards the group at full speed.
Your cape fluttered in the wind as it leaped across a small stream, all while Tatsugiri--who was resting in a small basket attached to it--held on for dear life.
Upon arriving, the bosses stopped their chatter and turned as you slowed down, stepping off Cyclizar. You gave it a small pat on the head, assuring that it could rest, before looking at the group.
"So we meet again...what's with the sour faces?" Your eyebrows furrowed at their expressions. When nobody was immediately speaking up, you huffed. "Come on, out with it. You can't come all this way to my base just assume I can read your minds-"
"We come before thee bearing..a warning." Atticus muttered, bowing his head in shame. "The student you've spoken of hath proven to be quite the adversary."
"Is that so? Surely they haven't claimed all of your badges, have they?"
"........"
"Why is no one talking-?"
"Because we got our asses handed to us." Mela bluntly stated, clenching her fists. "We got absolutely smoked...and now you're the only one left."
Your eyes widened in shock and horror, although you didn't get the chance to respond as Ortega cut you off.
"Now before you freak out on us all..we did try our best. We did everything you and Cassiopeia taught us. But this kid....they're good. Almost too good. And this guy named Clive was helping them out the whole time, getting under our skin and everything...."
"Well I wouldn't say that." Eri looked at the fairy trainer, crossing her arms over her chest as she frowned. "He wanted to know where we're coming from and why we're doing all of this."
"...and you just told him?"
You could see everyone tense up, and you just scowled, wondering why they would do this.
"What makes you all think he would care...or why anybody from that academy would care about us now?" Your eyebrows furrowed as Tatsugiri sat on your shoulder, mimicking your expression. "Nobody cared when they hurt us...nobody cared when we were literally begging for help. Look, I know keeping this group together was hard, but it's no excuse to-"
"Honestly...I'm kinda tired of this charade. At least someone's willin' to listen to us now.." Giacomo remarked, frowning a little bit. "But here's the lowdown, [y/n]: we got beaten into the dirt and followed our code, so now we're here to give ya a little heads up before this kid comes after you next. We're sorry. But we tried."
"And we still don't know who's really behind this sting operation.." Mela grumbled, shaking her head in worry. "Someone wants to shut us down for good, and it's definitely not either of those new students. They're just being used to carry out the dirty work."
"I might have a good idea on who it is...and I swear, they'll answer for this." You bared your teeth. "But I'll save my dragon rage for this trainer. Wherever they are, whatever they're doing...I hope they know I'm ready. Because I'm gonna defend Team Star...defend us....until my last breath."
"Su! Su!!" Tatsugiri trilled in agreement, nuzzling your cheek, to which you couldn't help but smile a little bit.
"Well whatever happens next, you have our full support, [y/n]." Eri smiled as she patted your shoulder. "Badge or no badge, we stand behind you."
Everyone else chimed in with agreements, smiles on all of their faces as well--although Atticus' wasn't immediately noticeable, you could see it in his eyes.
Knowing this group still cared about you and believed in your battling skills made all the tension leave your shoulders.
"Thank you, my friends. Hasta la vistar ~☆"
""""Hasta la vistar, and good luck, [y/n]!! ~☆""""

Wraith Kuai Liang Au Headcanons again(some fluff and then angst):
* Kuai Liang and Hanzo have taken up therapy painting together, a way for Kuai Liang to feel like he has more semblance of control over himslef and doesn’t need to be ordered on the whim of others like his existence as a wraith, while it’s a way for Hanzo to work out his complex and more heightening emotional issues.
* Sarena lives with the Lin Kuei, Kuai Liang has hidden here from Raiden and the special forces after saving her as he remembers her from his day as a wraith and her connection to her brother, she was one the one that showed empathy to him as a wraith. She’s Frost’s and Takeda’s wine aunt basically.
* As a wraith appearance wise Quan Chi ensured that Kuai Liang much like Bi-Zhan was unregonizle as possible as a Wraith
* He no longer wore any blue, the only sign of it was the hints of silver and blue blood from the visible veins on his skin reminiscent to the liquid that ran through his cybernetic body.
* He resembled a sickly and rotting dragonic man, bone like claws and long fangs dripping with posion, twisted horns that were chipped and broken. His clothing was a twisted version of his Lin Kuei uniform stained with so much blood it no longer contained bits of blue, with misc pieces of his cyber body making up as armour. The scars from when he was torn apart when becoming a cyborg are prominent.
* His eyes were a bit less drastic change, no longer blue, brown, or even purely white like Scorpion but a red that matched Quan Chi’s own.
* He works closely with his clan’s medics having gained the trust to let them use his poison abilities for antidotes and medicine
* His poison abilities allow him to make different types of poison and venom, from snake venom to acidic posion similar to reptile.
* Post being restored, his years as a wraith have still affected him in strange ways, he gets chronic migraines and head pain from both his horns being unnatural, but also his mind having been through so much trauma and having his head fucked with so much. But as well he find himself becoming more tolerant of heat.
* Hanzo and Kuai Liang are technically married, they had a small ceremony and was not known to many besides close friends like Kenshi, Johnny, and Jax( who were told by the kombat kids)
* Kuai Liang’s hair has gotten long and often the children of the clan’s are allowed to style it because he can’t say no to them. His style is eccentric already because he wears a lot of jewelry made by them anyway.
* Had the autopsy scars from the cyber Lin Kuei even after being restored, he covers them up as much as possible, his headband covers the one on his head. He hates having it touched.
* Raiden and Kuai Liang’s relationship is far more aggressive as well, Raiden’s behavior is far worse in this Au, far more unhinged that even those close to him like his brother have distanced themselves. Hell a lot of the newer Lin Kuei recruits are from the Wu Shi Academy have deflecting like Kung Jin who joined the Lin Kuei after Takeda said Kuai Liang would be willing to help him.
* Could not speak as a wraith and it fucked up his vocal cords even when he was away from Quan Chi’s control so he often spoke in short sentences, it takes a good long recovery for it to heal properly. In the same vein during moments of extreme anger or bitterness there is a subtle distorted hiss in his voice much like when he was a wraith.
* Ice skates frequently with frost, ended up teaching Takeda and even does more advanced dance moves found in ice skating with Hanzo, Hanzo is suffering
Some Headcanons with the events of Mk11 in mind:
* Both Noob Saibot, young Bi-Han, young smoke, cyber Subzero make their appearance
* Almost none of them recognize Kuai Liang when they meet him without his mask, like in an uncanny valley way, he’s far older and his appearance changed drastically due to his years as a wraith.
* Bi-Han was more or less manipulated into thinking it was an version of himself that took a darker path, that he needed to kill because this version killed Kuai Liang( idea from a video on YouTube bascially with young Bi-Han who was unaware of anything that happened post his own death)
* Cyber Subzero is one of the many minions of Kronika who is under control of Sektor. Can’t kill him due to being the past version of Kuai Liang, without him existing Kuai Liang would fade away.
* Smoke and Cyrax say a similar phrase to Kuai Liang like in mk11, commenting on how old Kuai Liang is after learning it’s him.
* Noob Saibot is more less instead of fighting his brother wants him to rejoin his side in death as his second in command because he knows Kuai Liang was turned into a wraith and wants his brother to regain that power again.
eeeeeeeeeeeeee I've missed this au!
Kuai Liang is actually a really good artist, having been taught by his father and sister before they died. As much as the therapy painting helps him heal from being a wraith, it also helps him process his grief over their deaths and lets him feel close to them
Sareena and Kuai Liang don't have much in common, but they each try their best to take care of the other to honor Bi-Han's memory
After being freed from Quan Chi's control, Kuai Liang starts to regain his original appearance very slowly, though not fully until he's made human again. This leaves him with a monster form that he can switch into at will where his poison powers are at their strongest.
He cannot stand the sight of the colour red now, due to the blood that had dyed his armor as a wraith
his eyes stay red after being restored and he hates it
There's a type of tea that helps with the chronic pain, though it doesn't fix it, that can only be gathered in outworld
Kuai Liang and Hanzo got married in secret with the kombat kids not finding out for months afterwards, they wanted it to be something that was just theirs
Kuai Liang ends up getting piercings once the kids start making him earrings. he looks in the mirror once and for a moment thinks he's looking at his mother (she had long hair and a lot of piercings too) and Hanzo finds him crying a little bit later
Kuai Liang and Kung Jin actually become quite close, bonding over their experiences in Outworld. Cassie ends up joining the Lin Kuei too in order to be with Frost, while Jacqui goes to the Shirai Ryu to marry Takeda before Raiden can stop her
There are days when Kuai Liang struggles to speak even now, leading to him and Hanzo learning sign language
Frost didn't know how to skate until Kuai Liang taught her, claiming that it was necessary for all cryomancers to know how to move on ice (he's just looking for an excuse to bond
Mk11
Kuai Liang is desperate to reconnect with Smoke, Cyrax, and Bi-Han (And Hydro who also comes back) and is deeply hurt by Bi-Han trying to kill him (side note, someone please give me the link to that youtube video
They can't kill cyber subzero, but they can disable him, so Hanzo does that to prevent Kuai Liang from having to see it, knowing it will cause more nightmares
Bi-Han and Kuai Liang's reunion is full of tears and shouting bc neither can comprehend why the other has chosen the side they have

Prince’s First Day
Pt. 2 / Pt. 1: A Stern Talking To
Tagging @sonia-aquamarineson @asmito @novafire-is-thinking @bdwarrior1
Summary: Basically Prince and Predaking having an argument about Prince needing to attend RBA(Rescue Bots Academy).
Preview: Prince is what can be referred to as a “spoiled brat”. Of course they weren’t always like that. In fact, he used to be polite, just on the verge of well behaved… for a hyper newborn dragon, that is.
Apparently the all powerful Predaking didn’t know any better and never exactly said ‘no’ all that much when raising Prince. If you catch my drift? Not to mention letting them get away with pretty much anything—heck—he could probably get away with murder if they wanted to.
With Predaking having to deal with the backlash of his people not being all too happy with his protégé’s behavior; he decides to send them to RBA to where he has a trusted friend who’s teaching there. To help Prince take a break from the royal life and to realign their misguidedness.
May Primus help whose poor spark is entrusted with the feral beast.
— — —
Once upon a time…there was a young prince, who lived in a far far away kingdom. A land of Predacons. Voracious creatures who roamed an entire planet known as The Predacon Kingdom. The Predacon Kingdom is ruled by their terrifying yet benevolent king—Predaking. Also known as mentor to their majesty Prince, of The Predacon Kingdom. No, not as in a spawn of the king; their literal name is ‘Prince’.
Their relationship is not simply bound by the energon flowing through their veins. The bond between the two cannot be described as nothing more than an apprenticeship. At least, in the beginning it was…
CLATTER!
Now they have begun to have a closer bond…
SLAM!
Such as a bond between a parent and child…
CRASH!
Loud noises have disrupted the staff within the castle, with everyone turning their heads to triangulate where noise came from. Echoing off the walls and down the corridors, another loud tumbling of what seems to be a gargantuan sized chair. On top of the chair was a small two headed metallic dragon, with sharp yellow claws, a protoform as dark as graphite, and big orange wings emanating a neon glow. The little dragon suddenly had light shining through one head’s neck to its jaw, which immediately shot a large coordinated blast of fire at its target.
“I’m not going to some stupid school on some stupid planet- a billion lightyears away!” Prince shouted. “And you can’t make me!” The two headed dragon jumped into the air and perched himself on a jagged beam connected to the large dome ceiling.
“You will attend the academy, whether you like it or not—child!” Retorted the grand dragon Predaking. An enormous rough-scaled mechanical beast, with big sharp claws and armor dark as obsidian. His body is lined with alien magma shining through his seams and crevices. Most of all, his body takes up a majority of the room as he has been chasing his protege all over the castle. Trying his hardest to be reasonable, though it seems as if nothing would be able to get Prince to listen.
“Why are you trying to make this difficult for me? Attending the academy is your “punishment” for your recent inappropriate behavior!”
“Why? Why?! Are you kidding me?! You're sending me off to get—to get domesticated!”
“For the last time! Learning manners and proper discipline, for your sake and others, isn't as cruel as surrendering your free will! And it's not as if this was my only choice-”
Just as Predaking was about to finish his statement, Prince shot a stream of fire at their mentor’s face; and they took off thinking he was distracted. Leaping off the beam and heading down the nearest corridor. But he didn't have enough time to realize how unfazed Predaking was with his attack.
As Prince was in midair, giant talons suddenly wrapped around him—restraining the little dragon. “Let go, you jerk!” Exclaimed Prince, as he spat another blast of fire at Predaking’s muzzle.
Predaking shook off the flames and replied sternly, “No—I will not tolerate your immature behavior any longer. You’re going to do as I say, and you will do it even if I have to force you through that portal myself.” Prince still continued to struggle in his mentor’s grasp.
Whatever Predaking said went through one audial and out the other. They were putting up one heck of a fight against his opponent, even though he knew deep down it was pointless. But he wasn’t one to back down from a fight so easily.

Ideas for my 2009's humanstuck au:
• Nepeta, Sollux, Karkat and Terezi are close friends.(Karkat is their internet friend in common because he lives in Argentina and they live in the US).
• Nepeta is an otaku and fan of warriorcats, likes to rp with terezi and Feferi. Likes to draw and animate in her nintendo ds.
• Sollux is a computer wizard, a huge gamer (mostly plays Cod) and likes to spite Karkat and his gamer skills. He is a sarcastic king and charges people $20 to fix their computers.
• Sometimes Sollux pirates Nep's favorite animes for her and they watch them together.
• Terezi is blind in this au. She likes candy. A LOT(the reason why she wears braces) specially those cherry jelly gummies. She likes 90's fashion and watching dragon tales (couldn't be more proud about this fact)
• Feferi is a huge fan of everything sea related (coughmermaidscough). Attends to swimming lessons along with Eridan. Has a plethora of mermaid swimming tails. She also likes to take care of her fish pets, sometimes a little too much.
• Fef's mother is kind of absent, her big sister, Meenah, too. So the staff in her mansion take most care of her. Nonetheless, she always has a good spirit, even if she feels somewhat alone.
• Eridan is the typical snobby teen with straight A's and a rich family (which might be the reason for the A's). He often goes to parties with his "friends" in the academy, but really the only friend he has and understands him is Feferi. He often feels alone because his father leaves for business trips, leaving him with his excuse of an older brother.
• Eridan likes and owns all of the Harry Potter Saga (at the moment) but prefers not to nerd out in fear of rejection (only nerds out to Feferi). He is also an avid fan of greek history and mythology.
• Tavros (who is a pokémon encyclopedia) is close friends with Aradia, sometimes they trade pokémon cards and have a few matches. His family immigrated from Spain to Argentina.
• Tavros is best friends with Gamzee, they hang out often and have rap jam sessions with basic rap beats coming out of Tav's family computer.
• Gamzee is...you know how Gamzee is. He likes Porta and ICP, sometimes he ends up at the hospital for drinking too much soda. Likes drawing and making tye-dye tshirts. His father owns a huge furniture store but most people in town think the store is just a facade to hide more..criminal matters.
• Karkat sometimes hangs with Gamzee, but he's more close with Kanaya and Ter. He likes programming and playing Cod, but not as much as watching the pirated romcom cds he hides under his matress with Kan.
• Karkat also has a slight obsession with the telenovelas his dad watches(coughMaríaladelbarriocough), which are the same ones Kankri criticises for being too problematic.
• Kanaya attends a catholic school her mom is a teacher in with Karkat and Rose. She likes to buy fashion magazines and tries to copy the models with the patterns they provide. Has a small academic rivalry with Rose Lalonde, but there's also some sparks there.
• Aradia lives in the same neighbourhood as Karkat and Tavros, and is internet friends with Sollux, who she met on club penguin a few years ago. She is more of an outgoing kid, and is not often seen inside her house unless she is initiating an excavation in her backyard in search for bones. Any kind of bones.
• Aradia is also internet friends with Nepeta and Terezi (they talk sometimes in skype) they're planning to one day meet up in the future and play dnd together, with their new addition to the group, Vriska.
• Vriska lives in the US in Equius' neighborhood. She has been Terezi's friend on and off, because of differences between eachother. She also met Tavros on the online game "8 ball pool" and tries to teach him how to ace pool like her.
• Vriska is kind of the problem child in her school, a punk at heart. She skips school often and disrespects authorities. Nobody but Ter knows the reason behind this jealousy towards her older, more successful sister, Aranea (and perhaps some neglecting from her mother too).
• Vriska likes fantasy books (often where the hero is NOT weak and is VERY awesome) and likes to imagine herself in those worlds as a form of escapism. She also likes Avril Lavigne and has a pet spider, which is very demanding when it comes to food.
• Equius is the quiet but kind kid..if not a little weird. His family proudly owns a robotics company his father initiated in the 90's, Equius is the nervous heir in line.
• He is very close friends with Nepeta, to the point of having grown together. They have a small tradition of celebrating eachother's birthdays with a tea party. Nepeta likes her tea without milk, Equius prefers more milk than tea.

Welcome to Yu-Gi-Oh! GReduX
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Preface:
Yu-Gi-Oh! GReduX is an idea I first conceived when I was 17 and I decided to revive it.
It’s a sequel to Yu-Gi-Oh! GX that later turns into a sequel to Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V and also is deeply connected to Duel Terminal. As I have a lot going on, I don’t have the time and energy to turn this into a fully-written fanfiction so I am telling the story through blog posts and art. It is still in a very raw state so this pinned post will be updated over time when I have something to add. This post will also only cover the “post GX" section of GReduX, that being Act 1 and 2. Act 3, the post Arc-V and Duel Terminal section that involves time-space travel shenanigans, will receive its own post sooner or later and will be linked to this one.
This project usually uses sub names but I can also use dub names whenever I feel like it.
I will use the tag “ygo gredux” for all posts connected.
Feel free to ask away when you want to know more about GReduX.
Premise:
GReduX starts not long after Judai and the others graduated and a new semester at Duel Academy has begun. One day Principal Samejima calls Professor Chronos into his office, who was accompanied by his younger sister, the nine.year-old Bianca de Medici, as he recently became her legal guardian after their parents died in a house fire one month ago.
Samejima informs Chronos of an exchange program with the new promising duel school, Terminus Academy. The program sends two students and one teacher to the other academy for one year and Samejima suggested sending Chronos, Tyranno Kenzan and Rei Saotome as Duel Academy’s representatives. Kenzan and Rei have already agreed to the program and Chronos was more than eager to teach at this Terminus Academy to show what Duel Academy has to offer as its greatest professor.
Not long as the group of four arrived at Terminus Academy, they met new and old faces and Chronos learned all teachers at this school are people he knew in the past with the principal, Rantaro Yamikage, being an old friend of his. As a sign of their friendship, Rantaro offered Bianca to become a student at Terminus despite her only recently finishing elementary school. Both Chronos and Bianca agreed to that offer with Chronos being excited to teach his beloved sister about the game they are both so passionate about.
Soon they would have to realize that Terminus Academy is a more than an extraordinary duel school filled with exceptionally powerful duelists in terms of skill and personalities.
The heroine of this story is Bianca de Medici or Bianca Crowler in the dub. A nine-year old girl, who lived in Italy and just recently witnessed her parents burn to death right before her eyes by a serial arsonist. She is now in the care of her older brother Chronos, who she loves and admires dearly but could not see often due to his job at Duel Academy.
Bianca had never been a social butterfly and preferred talking to her deck than with other humans thanks to being born with autism and the ability to communicate with Duel Monster spirits. She was a model student in terms of grades but never had any human friends and was even bullied by other kids and got frequently in trouble because of her violent outbursts whenever she was being picked on despite being very shy when unprovoked.
At the age of six, she had a dream of being visited by Duel Monster spirits of the Ice Kingdom. The spirits, who she immediately formed a deep connection with, asked if she wanted to be their friend and she agreed without hesitation. They also requested to form a contract with her that asks her to become a powerful duelist with them at her side in exchange for their protection. After the contract was sealed, she woke up with a deck of Duel Monster cards next to her, the Ice Kingdom, and a silver bracelet with an ice blue stone in its center at her right wrist. Ever since, Bianca, a dueling prodigy, has been seeking power alongside her new spirit friends with White Blizzard Dragon as her ace, while finding out what powers lie in the bracelet she received from her otherworldly friends.
At Terminus Academy Bianca starts off as very emotionally stunted and still traumatized from the house fire, developing  pyrophobia as a result. In that state the young child has to prove herself as a powerful duelist and student under a group of teenagers with similar abilities as her. Fortunately the class she attends has a strong sense of unity and she can count on her brother Chronos and her friends from the Ice Kingdom to have her back.
Terminus Academy:
A duel school founded by Rantaro Yamikage one year ago. It’s much smaller than Duel Academy as it has only three classes with 16 students each. It was built as a counter project to Duel Academy as the students wear similar uniforms to DA in black and orange and are not split in different houses but share one huge apartment complex not far away from school as their dormitory.
The purpose of this school is researching young duelists with the power to talk to duel spirits or show the potential to. Every student was scouted by Rantaro himself when he traveled around the world. The students do not have to pay any fees and every cost is covered by the school, they only have to show good results as students in order to stay at the Academy.
Terminus Academy is located in the fictional city of Resort Valley, named after it being a very popular health resort filled with all sorts of places for fun and relaxing activities. Rantaro chose this city as the location so the students would have a healthy and welcoming environment and as an opportunity to perceive other activities outside of school.
The Academy offers everything a school needs to and more with an always clean and safe building, latest equipment, healthy food and a card store with new and old packs so students will always have a chance for good deck building. Terminus also holds various events for their students and helpful courses for them to make their school life educational and fun. Whenever something breaks, it would be repaired or replaced in no time. How a school this small could have such a huge budget even with its undercover funding from Kaiba Corporation is one of its greatest mysteries.
In only one year, Terminus gathered an exceptional positive reputation from students, parents and outsiders alike. A near flawless learning environment, student satisfaction and dueling performance at an all-time high made it become more popular than every of Duel Academy’s branch schools and came to rival DA itself, gaining the attention of many journalists and as well of Industrial Illusions.
Class 2-C:
The class of sixteen Professor Chronos was assigned to teach over the year:
Bianca de Medici/Bianca Crowler
Tyranno Kenzan/Tyranno Hassleberry
Rei Saotome/Blair Flannigan
Midori Tachibana
Alexander Muller
Hazel Cortex
Lien Cai
Constantin Sokolow
Dejan Kovac
Diana Sergio
Martin Kanou/Marcel Bonaparte
Esra Farhani
Grant O’Brien/Grant Brodie
Jason McConnor
Marlee Reed
List of reference sheets HERE
Every one of them being a very talented duelist in their own right with many of them being able to talk to spirits or awakening to it later. Midori not only being the class representative but also the Academy's head girl. As a group of eccentrics filled with dreams and determination, these teenagers (and that one elementary schooler) are a very chaotic bunch, getting in all sorts of trouble and hijinks. And while having their differences and arguments, they have a very strong sense of unity and stick together through thick and thin as friends, managing to overcome every challenge.
It turns out many of them had forged contracts with their deck just like Bianca did and have gained similar protection. When the world was dragged into Darkness at the end of GX, many students of Terminus, including Class 2-C were unaffected by Darkness as they were put into a safe, dream-like state by their cards where Darkness could not reach them.
While being a member of Class 2-B, the student Nigel Setanta became a part of this group over time thanks to his friendship with Jason.
Staff:
Aside from janitors, cleaning and lunch staff and housekeeper, who runs the card store for both school itself and the dormitory, the Academy has the principal, three teachers and a nurse:
Rantaro Yamikage
Professor Chronos de Medici/Dr. Vellian Crowler
Dr. Kakeru Yamamoto
Napoleon/Jean-Louis Bonaparte
Dr. Dahlia Thorndyke
Currently there is also Asuka Tenjoin/Alexis Rhodes at Terminus for an internship for her goal to become a teacher.
Chronos, Rantaro, Kakeru and Dahlia were close friends during their time at university in Domino City and Rantaro purposefully arranged them being reunited again through hiring Dahlia and Kakeru for his Academy and organizing the exchange program. Napoleon, teacher of Class 2-B, applied for a job as teacher at Terminus shortly after leaving Duel Academy and similar to Bianca, Rantaro offered Martin to become a student as well, Chronos and Napoleon meeting again was a pure, yet ironic coincidence.
Kakeru, teacher of Class 2-A, was Chronos’ best friend during university times and he especially is looking forward to doing everything with his friend again, who had changed a lot since graduation unlike him. This group of educators turns out to be a miniature version of Class 2-C in terms of being chaotic yet sticking together.
Spirit Contracts:
Duel Monster spirits from another dimension called Duel Terminal, which closely resembles a computer program, have gained the power to transcend into other worlds and can influence them to certain degrees. The most effective method is making contact with humans that show immense potential as duelists and can communicate with them. They then form a Spirit Contract, which allows the spirits to manifest into Duel Monster cards and an item the duelist will always carry with them, be it a bracelet, a pendant or anything else.
With the item at their side, the duelist is under protection of the spirits from Duel Terminal with said protection showing their effects in  many different ways, for example Bianca not being injured by the flames or poisoned by the smoke of the house fire. The Monsters can also become truly tangible in duels with another duelist with a Spirit Contract and cause real damage, which usually only occurs when the duelist is either in danger or loses control over their powers.
If a duelist with a Spirit Contract has become especially powerful, they can be able to perform a “Terminal Draw”, which works similar to a Destiny Draw, in being able to draw a specific card of their deck archetype from their deck in a pinch and when the duelist has reached the absolute height of their strength, the Terminal Draw can even be compared to a Shining Draw.
The reason the spirits from Duel Terminal are contacting humans is that Duel Terminal became completely jumbled in its own timelines with events being undone or misplaced in time and at worst threats that had have been previously been defeated are suspected to return in even greater and more terrifying capacity that will not only affect Duel Terminal, but every dimension and the only way to bring everything back into order is to cooperate with humans from another world, who can not only help them reclaim their former strength but to surpass it as well.
Rantaro Yamikage, a scientist for Kaiba Corp. at the time, had noticed shifts in time-space caused by Duel Monster spirits influencing the human world in unexpected ways and thus decided that this matter had to be studied at any cost and founded Terminus Academy with the approval and secret funding by Seto Kaiba himself.
Everything went well as expected and Terminus was formed in no time with construction and organization done by Kaiba Corp. and student scouting by Rantaro until one day Rantaro had been contacted by spirits that call themselves the Fabled…
Act 1:
Act 1 covers the first half of the school year with everything and everyone being introduced. It is more on the comedic and slice of life part with the students getting into wacky hijinks that somehow also manage to get the teachers involved. Bianca also learns to open up and become friends with her classmates despite the age gap. Jason becomes friends with Nigel and assimilates him into the chaos of Class 2-C.
Bianca gains a reputation among the students and proves herself time and time again to be a very powerful duelist with defeating countless of them. Her Ice Kingdom deck, which she is the only owner of in the world, caught the interest of Pegasus J. Crawford, paying Terminus Academy a visit as a result.
He was very fascinated with the students there and decided them to be the test users of the new summoning method Industrial Illusions and Kaiba Corp. had been working on when it was finished, Synchro Summoning.
Bianca had become quite cocky with her winning streak so Midori, the Academy’s strongest duelist also called “The Empress”, decided to humble her by defeating her in a duel in front of the entire school and succeeded at doing so.
At first Bianca took the loss very poorly but with some uplifting from her peers and her spirit partners, she regained her composure and managed to grow even stronger from that experience by learning Fusion Summoning.
After a school trip to Italy for 2-C, Synchro Monsters were finally complete and it was decided that Lien would be the very first person to ever Synchro Summon in an official duel against Bianca.
Her Flamvell and Neo-Flamvell, who she had a Spirit Contract with, evolved and adapted to Synchro.
In the duel Lien successfully summons the Synchro Monster “Ancient Flamvell Deity” but the duel had to be terminated as all her fire-themed monsters had brought Bianca to a breaking point and she suffered a panic attack from her pyrophobia.
Despite the termination, the test was a success and Synchro Monsters were now ready to be introduced to the world.
Jason and Nigel’s friendship blossomed further and Jason realized thanks to Nigel that he doesn’t have to screw himself over in order to rebel against his parents but can also strive for his own path with the power he has if he finally puts it to use. That resolve evolved the Mist Valley deck he contracted with into Gusto and thus formed a friendly rivalry with Nigel, swearing to surpass Ritual Summon expert one day.
At the end of this half, Bianca is confronted with the arsonist, who killed her and Chronos' parents. To get his hands on the valuable Ice Kingdom cards, he trapped him and Bianca in a life-or-death duel in a burning building with the Laval deck he contracted with.
Despite being confronted with her fear of fire, the rage of being faced with her parent’s killer took over and she went all out against him, taking him down with her deadliest Fusion Monster, “Glazio, Devil of the Ice Kingdom”, freezing him to death despite his pleas for mercy as the attacks in this duel were real.
Act 2:
Eight months into the exchange program, Principal Samejima agreed to Rantaro’s proposal to hold a tournament between Duel Academy and Terminus Academy at Terminus’ campus, the GX Tournament V2. Students and teachers from both schools face up against each other as well as students from the same school.
Much to Samejima’s dismay, the tournament was being dominated by Terminus with all the best students he ever had had already graduated or are part of the exchange program.
Mysterious incidents seem to occur during the tournament as many of the participants' behavior suddenly began to shift into aggressive and even violent, including Chronos, who almost hit a student from Duel Academy, who tried to steal a deck, if not stopped by Dahlia.
The situation started to get out of control further as more and more duelists turned violent and downright malicious. Said duelists also developed breathing problems, high blood pressure, tearing muscles and chronic migraines. Neither Rantaro nor Samejima were able to provide answers and so Class 2-C including Nigel, Kakeru and Napoleon began to do their own research while Dahlia and Emi Ayukawa/Fonda Fontaine took care of collapsed or contaminated duelists.
Everyone wonders why Rantaro strictly refuses to stop the tournament at a time like this and with how out-of-character he acts, his warm and welcoming demeanor switching into cold and strict with his kind smile now having something eerie in it.
Bianca gets challenged to a duel by Midori, who had turned violent as well. Bianca had her rematch against The Empress with finally surpassing her with her new Synchro Monster “White Blizzard Impact Dragon”. Midori then collapsed after the duel and was contaminated as well.
When Chronos raised his hand against Bianca when she tried to stop him from hurting another student, Kakaru finally had enough and challenged Chronos to a duel to bring him back to his senses.
Even though Kakeru fought with everything he got, he was crushed under the might of Chronos’ “Ancient Gear Chaos Giant” with whom he severely injured Kakeru with after his victory.
White Blizzard Dragon told Bianca they were able to witness a dark energy possessing Chronos that forces his Ancient Gears, who he had formed a Spirit Contract with not long ago, to use their powers to harm others.
After Kakeru was hospitalized, Bianca and the others confronted Dahlia, who had been acting suspicious for a while and she finally decided to tell the truth as she can’t bear seeing everyone she cares about getting injured:
There is a supernatural virus going around that infects others through duels. It makes the infected severely violent but also inflicts health issues that are very likely to kill its victim over time and take over their dead body if not treated. The virus is called Evilswarm and was brought in by none other than Principal Rantaro Yamikage.
His goal is to spread Evilswarm as far as possible through GX V2 with his true motives being unknown. He blackmailed Dahlia to turn Evilswarm into a bacterial state and infuse it into his primary test subject, Chronos. Sick of Rantaro’s madness, Dahlia already created an antidote for Evilswarm and it already proved itself as effective as she secretly tested it on Midori, who had been cured but is still bedridden. She tells everyone that the infected need to have the Evilswarm weakened in them before the antidote gets injected or it won’t work. Dahlia also informs Bianca that Chronos might not have much longer to live if he isn’t cured soon with how long he had been infected.
Without any hesitation, Bianca rushed to Chronos and challenged him to a duel to save him. It pushed both of them to their limits and Bianca witnessing her brother's health fail the longer the duel went broke her but she forced herself to keep fighting for his sake. What gave her the final push was hearing the plea of his favorite Ancient Gear Golem, Sirius, to save his life at all cost. Bianca defeats Chronos with the combination of the very first Terminal Draw, a Permanent Spell Card that deals effect damage, two of her Fusion Monsters and White Blizzard Dragon, allowing him to finally receive the antidote and be brought to the infirmary.
It was finally time to grab the problem at its root. While Terminus’ and Duel Academy’s best united to defeat and cure all the infected, Dahlia and Lien confronted Rantaro, who sneaked into Dahlia’s underground lab to destroy the antidote, the recipe to make it and to later kill genius pharmaceutic Dahlia so Evilswarm could never be cured ever again.
Bianca meanwhile was with her brother at the infirmary, watching over him. When she was suddenly approached by the Ice Kingdom spirits, who told her that Lien’s Flamvell contacted them for immediate assistance because Lien was in huge danger, she rushed to the underground lab as fast as possible, led by her Monsters and followed by Napoleon and Samejima. When she arrived there she saw both Lien and Dahlia laying on the ground, severely injured.
Napoleon and Samejima brought the two of them to the infirmary and gave them the antidote just in case. The infuriated Bianca then confronts Rantaro, who gladly accepts the challenge of Terminus’ new strongest student, saying once someone as powerful as her is infected, he’d be unstoppable.
Before the decisive duel could start, Chronos arrived, dragging himself to the place with his duel vest, still severely weakened. Despite his critical state, he had to help Bianca take down Rantaro no matter what. When being asked by Chronos why he was doing all of this and what happened to his precious and kind friend, Rantaro only gave vague answers but he proved that this good-hearted Rantaro had been gone forever even before the whole exchange program even began.
In this 2 vs 1 duel the de Medici siblings struggled more than ever because of Rantaro’s Fabled cards, which he had artificially modified into the dreadful ArchSeraphim, who all possess downright unfair effects with his Ace Monster being “ArchSeraphim Overlord Abyss Shadow”, a Fusion Monster with 6000 ATK and 6000 DEF that reduces the opponents LP to 1, can only be defeated by Battle with a Fusion Monster and is completely immune to opponent’s card effects.
In this near hopeless situation, Bianca performs a Terminal Draw and Fusion Summons the siblings’ ultimate Monster, Ancient Gear Blizzard Dragon, a combination of both their Aces and reduces Rantaro’s LP to 0 with the help of their Monster’s piercing damage dealing effect and Chronos’ previously set Limiter Removal.
When Rantoro was defeated, he just laughed about the absurdity of his situation and congratulated the siblings and everyone at Terminus for their glorious work, admitting he couldn’t be a prouder principal and that Terminus truly will initiate a new age of dueling. Before Chronos could receive any answers on asking once again how Rantaro turned out that way, a dark energy surrounded the principal, seemingly eating him alive until nothing of him was left.
Bianca could only look at this for a short time until Chronos collapsed thanks to his still critical condition.
The aftermath of the Evilswarm Incident was the cancellation of GX V2 despite Samejima reluctantly admitting that the victor would have definitely been Terminus. Everyone involved was properly treated to make sure Evilswarm was completely eradicated. Terminus Academy had to take care of reparations for the damage caused by Rantato. Dahlia took over the mantle of principal and had to announce that Terminus had to close down for at least one year to take care of financial and legal matters, giving everyone injured during the incident time to recover. The students were allowed to return home during that time or stay at the dormitory.
Rei and Kenzan, returned to Duel Academy, the teacher and two students chosen by Rantaro for the exchange program were taken under custody as it turned out they were spies for Rantaro. Asuka finished her internship and left as well to finish her studies.
The bedridden Chronos and Kakeru made up again and were taken care of by Dahlia, who they forgive for her involvement in Evilswarm as she was forced into it and she did her best to make up for her misdeeds. To their surprise, Chronos was writing a letter of resignation to Duel Academy. When asked about it by Dahlia, Kakeru and Bianca he told them he does that so he can give Dahlia an application to become an official teacher at Terminus after its great re-opening next year.

Education
There are three schools on the isle, Dragon Hall, Serpent Prep and Crow Academy (Witch School). However, there is a lack of education on the Isle, classes focus on how to be evil instead of things like English, Math and Science. This means that most people can only do basic math and reading. Even children whose parents do know how to do math or read properly aren't likely to teach their kids that, as they will prioritize survival skills.
Books are rare on the Isle, those that come on the barges are either to damaged to read or are taken to Dr Facilier's Library. Having books is a sign of power.
Originally Dragon Hall was the only school but as more children were born Serpent Prep and Crow Academy were opened. Not all children attend school some are homeschooled, and some simply don't go to school at all. If you attend school you are expected to turn up late, and not partake in lessons.
By the time children are 9-10 they are expected to be in some manner of employment by or for their families, the age children are put to work varies between households, by the time they are teenagers they are given harder more demanding jobs or are made to do the backbreaking physical labor that the adults don't want to do.
It isn't required to go to school, but there isn't actually that much to do so the kids go anyway to learn about scheming, fighting and general wickedness. Detention and punishments are given out for things like helping someone pick up their books etc.
Skipping class happens often though the teachers don't make it easy for the kids, Bill Sykes has provided the school with several vicious dogs around campus. Fighting happens often and is encouraged by the teachers as way of solving arguments. There is also a lot of gang activity that happens, properly more so than anywhere else.

happy worldbuilding wednesday! my question for you is: what level of education do your OCs have? & does this affect the story?
Happy Worldbuilding Wednesday! Thank you for the Ask, @cabbojage!
My question for you is: what level of education do your OCs have? & does this affect the story?
For the sake of doing something different for this one, I will do this for my cast of MC's from The Last Wrath (my dark fantasy WIP) and Tales of Wilted Flowers (my high fantasy adventure WIP).
THE LAST WRATH:
Raelen Ashiren - Well, most of what Raelen knows was either taught to her by her older brother, Julyan Ashiren, or she somehow managed to learn by herself (likely by stealing books from libraries and archives). She has known how to read and write since she was a young child (this she was taught by their parents when they were still alive), and knows a lot about the history of their world's magic. In the years they lived in Kestrall under the protection of General Teiva, Raelen used to go to the Dragon's Spires and its libraries where she would spend a lot of her time studying - since she wasn't an official dragon rider in training, she was at least allowed to read from their vast and ancient collection of scrolls, but she still stole a lot from the Royal Archives (because some classified arcane magical knowledge was kept there).
Zephyr Tellian - Largely self-taught, even before the Fall of Eldon, Zephyr always sought knowledge by himself - something that, as a street kid, was a very hard thing to do. He taught himself how to read, and write and learned how to do basic spells in the Order of Sorcerers from Eldon, before the war destroyed the kingdom and he had to flee. When he and Jamie managed to get accepted into the Liranthian Academies after succeeding on a tournament, that's when Zephyr was able to get most of his "formal education" as a scholar and sorcerer, though he remained extremely curious and taught himself more than anyone else ever did, until he was one of the Academies' top students ever.
Darian Caelestis - Son of a powerful - and very rich - couple of rebel warriors from Ergyre, Darian had access to the best tutors his parents could find (that would accept to teach a rebel without spying on them of course), and also was so naturally curious that he taught himself a lot of things too, especially about alchemy. He had a complete formal education, from astronomy, to arts, to history, to arcane knowledge, and to maths. In the past, after meeting Tanwin Lyrandeth, Darian learned many things about alchemical magic from his young elven friend too. Out of the main cast Darian perhaps had the best formal education.
Princess Ellinor Dallantes: Being royalty and raised by the leader of the continent's most dangerous and powerful Guild of Assassins, she was very influential. She received a professional education from only the most renowned tutors and rebel scholars in the world and was also largely taught by her adoptive father, Evren (the leader of the Guild), who was incredibly intelligent and knew almost anything about everything. Her education is so profound that it has made her one of the cleverest people on the continent, and she is proficient in almost any subject or matter, as a proper queen should be. On top of that, she received complete combat training during her years in the Guild, becoming one of the deadliest assassins around with almost any weapon one can think of.
Julyan Ashiren - Before their parents died, Julyan was a noble from the most ancient mageborn house alive. This means not only did he have full access to their mansion's library growing up, but also he had some of the best tutors (plus his parents were geniuses). But when their parents died and they were forced to flee from home with no money, protection, or anything, Julyan had to become a parent not only to his little sister, Raelen, but also to their adoptive brother, Azra, and so, despite being incredibly clever and capable, Julyan did not have the resources to seek a professional/formal education as a scholar when he actually became a teen/young adult (because it was a matter of having money to survive/buy food, so he had to work as a weapon's smith, which was one of the few jobs that hired mageborn teens like him)
TALES OF WILTED FLOWERS:
For now, it only has two "MCs" (like main POV characters), even though it has other protagonists
Lorelai Wildwood: Honestly Lorelai had a weird education. Since her father was considered "a traitor" by the kingdom, she got to learn the "other side of the story" that the history books failed to mention, plus, he taught many different things, from astronomy to archery, to alchemy and spell history. (Due to his "traitor" status, none of the city's academies or tutors would accept to train and teach her). Think the "Enola Holmes" kind of education, but factor in the fact that our Lorelai lives in a medieval world with magic. She was also fascinated by the historical tales of the bygone heroes of the past, which inspired her to dream of one day becoming one too, despite the world telling her that she could not because she was a commoner of "tainted blood."
Xarian Argyris: Xarian was highly intellectual and read almost every book the town's library and archives had to offer, as well as being taught alchemy, magic, and healing by his mother figure/aunt. Being a fairy, he learned things quickly and had a strong imagination, as well as being naturally talented when it comes to spellcasting. Xarian was mostly self-taught, even when it comes to complex subjects and difficult magic. When he was 17 he left home to attend a prestigious alchemy academy/medieval university, where he strived to become a magical physician, but there he trusted the wrong person, who majorly derailed his "up-til-then-normal" life.

My Review of Kakegurui
Tumblr media
How did I get into this anime? I was curious about this particular title for quite some time. There aren’t really that many anime titles where the main premise is about gambling and even when one exists, the anime itself stinks.
Tumblr media
Hyakkaou Private Academy is the home to the rich and powerful’s offspring. Basically, the entire school is filled with recipients of the lucky sperm club. On the surface, the school seems to be doing its job of teaching these kids the real world. But once classes are over, everyone gambles. Take your pick of the games! Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you go broke, and sometimes you become someone’s pet bitch. The student council has a system in place where if someone falls into debt due to gambling, they become ‘house pets’. The boys are known as ‘fidos’ and the girls are known as ‘mittens’. If they become a house pet, they must wear a tag around their neck and get harassed by classmates.
Tumblr media
Ryouta Suzui is one such unlucky mongrel as he found himself falling to Mary Saotome. Mary is pretty handy when it comes to gambling and has crumbled several unlucky students. Enter Yumeko Jabami! She’s the newest transfer student to Hyakkaou and to Mary, an easy target to take advantage of. Unfortunately for Mary, she’s going to learn the hard way in a game of “fuck around and find out”. Yumeko is loving these games, but she loves figuring out the cheaters of the game even more.
Tumblr media
Who’s bluffing? Poker face or kill face?! Who will win? Who will lose? Enter the rabbit hole to find out.
BETWEEN THE SUB AND THE DUB…AND THE OTHER DUB: So, things started off turbulent as this anime was in Netflix jail. Only recently has Netflix decided to give the U.S. audience some anime on a week-by-week basis. ONLY SOME ANIME! But seeing as this came out in 2017, unless you were living in Japan or had a VPN, you were shit outta luck to seeing this. But it eventually got released to U.S. Netflix with several languages available. Not only that but the live action Kakegurui is also on Netflix, as well as recent spin-off Kakegurui Twin. So, Netflix has total control over the Kakegurui franchise. End of story, right?
As of 2021, Sentai Filmworks licensed Kakegurui. Not a big surprise as Sentai has decided to pick up several animes that were exclusive to sites like Amazon, Crunchyroll, and Netflix. But then Sentai decided to give Kakegurui a dub. Replace the L.A. based voices with the ones in Houston. I’m not sure what and why all of this is happening and why it’s absolutely necessary to have two English dubs when one dub was recorded not too long ago. The only other time I see this happen is with Dragon Ball and whenever Animax grabs a title. Was this payback from when Netflix redubbed Neon Genesis Evangelion? I know Sentai has nothing to do with Evangelion, but most of the people of that company do. Here’s my opinion on the matter. I prefer the Netflix dub for Kakegurui. Also, the Netflix dub to Evangelion sucks eggs and should be wiped from this Earth. Moving on!
What’s really weird about this is that if you go to Hidive’s website, they don’t even have a page for Kakegurui. I guess they just have the rights to put it out on blu-ray and not the right to stream it. Here are the voice actors, yo!
JAPANESE CAST: *Yumeko is played by Saori Hayami (known for Shinobu on Demon Slayer, Shouko on A Silent Voice, Ononoki on Monogatari, Kagura on Fairy Tail, Tsuruko on Anohana, Himawari on Boruto, and Fubuki on One Punch Man)

SHIPPING: Oh, there are a lot of ships that people flock to with this series. But aside from seeing all the obvious lesbianism going down at the student council, we do see obvious stuff when it comes to Itsuki’s feelings for Kaede. Other than that, some might point to the words exchanged between Ryouta and Yumeko in the season one finale. But there’s one thing everyone should know while watching this anime. The only ship that matters here is Any Character x Gambling.
Tumblr media
Ryouta has no chance of satisfying Yumeko unless he can bring the heat in a game. The way I see it, unless Ryouta makes Yumeko moist down there in a game, it’s not gonna happen. We only saw it once, so it’s not off the table.
Tumblr media
In season two, we did see a bit of unrequited love. It’s been clear from her debut that Kirari’s secretary Sayaka loves her. Imagine that, a lesbian named Sayaka! Never saw that before, hahaha! Kirari did say some things to Sayaka that could be taken as a dismissal. But then we get the scene where Sayaka loses a game and has to jump from a building and Kirari jumps off with her. I don’t know if it’s love or just bitches being crazy.
Tumblr media
And as for Kakegurui Twin, Mary Saotome has a childhood friend named Tsuzura. Ever since Mary transferred to this school, Tsuzura has been hanging with Mary. Not just that, but sees Mary as her prince. And yes, her imagination goes that far, wedding dress and all. That’s great and everything but what the hell happened to Tsuzura in the main series? If she loves Mary Saotome so much, where the hell was she in those 24 episodes?
Tumblr media
CAN’T READ MY, CAN’T READ MY…: Let’s talk about the kill faces. Everyone has one! Even the men! But in this anime, the kill face is majority a women’s sport. Let’s face it, the majority of this anime is focused on the women and how many kill faces one can make in the span of a 22-minute episode. Usually, we’ll see this when the random character feels cocky or whenever Yumeko catches them cheating or lying.
Tumblr media
Seriously though, the only face that scares me is whenever Yumeko gets angry when Midari does something to anger her. Out of all the scary faces I see in this anime, Yumeko’s displeasure of being with Midari is the one that scares me the most. Yumeko is actually nicer to the characters who literally poisoned her than she is to Midari.
Tumblr media
ENDING TO SEASON ONE: It’s been pretty clear that the student council has been running this show from day one. President Kirari put in the system of “fidos” and “mittens” for those who are in debt from gambling. Not only that, but draws up “life plans” for those poor souls. These life plans are pretty much what they sound like; to force the debtor to give up any dreams of their own in place of what the student council has written out for you. Mary was not down with that and slowly crawled her way out of debt. But we’ve got other shit going down from the inside. There seems to be a traitor in the student council.
Tumblr media
Yumeko has had her fair share of run-ins with members of the student council with different outcomes. Yumeko defeated Itsuki (the chick who likes taking off people’s fingernails) and Itsuki in return was dropped from student council. Yuriko however defeated Yumeko and that caused Yumeko to temporarily become a house pet. And then the battle between Yumeko and Midari (the eyepatch chick with a death wish) ended with Yumeko as the victor. And then Yumeko took out Yumemi! But that last one revealed someone who was plotting Yumemi’s downfall and that was the student council treasurer, Kaede.
Tumblr media
Kaede is a cold, calculating, blunt man. And if I might add, perfect casting choice for Tomokazu Sugita! Good on you, Japan! More so, he’s one of a few characters that didn’t expose numerous “kill faces” when up against Yumeko. And I gotta say, quite refreshing to see more male characters. I love the heavy lesbianism as much as the next girl, but mix it up sometimes! Kaede had high ambitions of becoming student council president and was willing to screw anybody over to get there. So, will he be able to take Yumeko down in a match? Nah! Kaede embarrassed himself in front of a large crowd that included Yumemi’s fan club, the entire student council, and even the president. Kaede was then stripped of his title, went into a hysterical coma, and his hair went all Marie Antoinette.
Tumblr media
Moving away from that drama, Yumeko is about to go face-to-face with the president of the student council, Kirari. Both girls are intimidating and have an unbelievable love for gambling. The stakes for this game are pretty dire as if either girl loses, they must drop out of the school, never to return. Long story short, it was a tie so neither girl has to leave. We learn a few things about these characters in this episode, however that’s not the important part for the shipping community. For the shippers, some clever wordage was tossed around that could give us a dropped hint for Yumeko x Ryouta. I think Yumeko and Ryouta’s words in the final episode were meant differently from what we’re all thinking. On another note, I’m not sure if it was Kirari playing or if it was her doppelganger vice president.
In the final couple of minutes of season one, Itsuki nurses Kaede (who is still in his hysterical coma). Kirari disbands the student council. And Yumeko is still gambling for the sheer thrill of it.
Tumblr media
SEASON TWO: As I said before, Kirari is disbanding the student council. Add to that, she’s making the next student council election a big gambling event. The one with the most chips at the end of the month becomes the next student council president. Not just that, but the winner also becomes the head of the Momobami clan. Kirari was the head of the clan and her stepping down from that position has brought out 11 members of the clan to transfer to the school and compete for that honor. Each one of these 11 members all have last names that end with ‘bami’. Interestingly enough, Yumeko’s last name also ends with ‘bami’, but as for her being related to any of these people is shrouded in mystery. Yumeko’s family and everything about her is an enigma. We know that she has an older sister that’s in a hospital of some sort and that Yumeko literally has an unlimited amount of money at her disposal.
Tumblr media
As one would expect, Yumeko is going to take part of these challenges. Many want Yumeko to become the next president, but all Yumeko wants is to gamble. Others have invested their time with other competitors like Mary Saotome and several of the random Momobami clan members. And because she can’t pass up a good game, Kirari is also competing to stay president. I don’t get it if she’s the one that disbanded the student council and started this whole melee election. Whatever! Crazy bitches be crazy bitches!
Tumblr media
ENDING: Yumeko has had some life-or-death challenges this season. This doesn’t scare her; in fact, she gets a kick when the stakes are ultimately high and the scent of death reeks. Unless Midari is involved, but that’s to be expected, she’s annoying. Nevertheless, Yumeko did go through a lot of frightening moments including being poisoned, almost gambled away a pinky finger, and playing a game where the loser would have to plunge to their death. Yumeko has made it through all of that and thensome. Although, the poisoning was pretty gnarly, girl almost died there. When it comes to the election, Kirari is still in the lead as she holds the most vote coins. Yumeko, Mary, and Ryouta wind up in the top 10. But no one can really come close to Kirari. Seriously girl, what was the point of all this?
But those Bami members are determined to take down Kirari by any means necessary. Terano might seem like the big kingpin of this gang of Bami members. She is in second place after all and was behind some of the bouts Yumeko faced including this tax game she played alongside Kaede and Itsuki. But what does that old saying go, never trust a pretty face or something like that? Rei, the one who has been seen as just a moderator at most instances showed their true colors in the season two finale during an auction for vote chips. Rei wants revenge against the Momobami family and will happily see to Kirari’s downfall. Call it a lifetime of putting up a façade and being a servant to the clan.
Tumblr media
I was kinda surprised Rei was really biologically female. I say ‘kinda’ because Romi Park voiced her. So I had a small feeling that was the case.
Anyways, Yumeko in her oh-so-delicious fashion managed to take down Rei and then doing an ultimate gamble. I honestly don’t know what could possibly surpass all the gambles that were life-or-death. Yumeko nearly risked her life in several gambles, including almost dying from being poisoned. But I guess this time it was for the Jabami name. Regardless of all the turmoil, Yumeko wound up victorious, Rei dresses like a girl for once, Yumeko nearly loses all of her vote chip winnings from the game against Rei, and there’s no real conclusion to who’s going to run the student council.
Okay, so…I thought the first season was pretty solid and left an opportunity for a second season with the student council shake-up. But then season two kinda fell flat with the introduction of all the ‘bami’ clan members. Maybe the Mary Saotome spin-off will clear things up! Five years after the main anime ends, Netflix drops the Mary Saotome spin-off. Now will this clear up all the weird things surrounding her involvement with the mysterious vice president? I’m gonna spoil it right here and say, no. There are only 6 episodes and most of them revolve around Mary and a bunch of characters we don’t see in the main series.
Tumblr media
TWIN: Much like Yumeko, Mary was also a transfer student. And also like Yumeko, her high school debut captured the attention of many as Mary caught wise to what the other students were dishing out in terms of games. But Mary was scouted by different people. Some wanted her to join certain clubs. Others wanted her to become a student council member. And then there are those who are putting their faith in Mary to take down the student council’s barbaric system of ‘fidos’ and ‘mittens’. Seeing as that system was thriving one year later, it looks like that Mary wasn’t able to put a fork in it. But nice try with the resistance, guys!
There’s only six episodes. There are a few new characters that we never see in the original anime. Most of these characters are definitely not third years on the verge of graduating. So why haven’t we seen these people before? Are we going to get more episodes in the future? Is the manga adaptation still in publication? We still haven’t seen what happens to Midari’s eye. I mean, we know what happens, but we just haven’t gotten the gory viewing. And what happened to Tsuzura? She loves Mary! Did she graduate early, get killed by the student council, commit suicide for Mary’s adoration, transfer schools, get slapped with one of those student council life plans that went into effect immediately, what!? I’d believe the third option myself. Something has to account for not seeing her in the main series.
Kakegurui has been very entertaining. And even the spin-off with Mary was interesting. I’m hoping for another batch of episodes in the future. Again, only the first season had my attention. The second kinda bored me with the student council election. Maybe it was the addition of all those clan members or the fact that I expected more from certain characters. As far as having an anime revolve around gambling, it wasn’t all bad. It could have been worse. There has been worse from what I’ve seen. Maybe in the future, I’ll check out the Kaiji series as I heard that had to do with gambling. Maybe another day once I finish the romcom I replaced Kakegurui with.
In the meantime, if you want to check out Kakegurui, Netflix has every episode available for streaming. This includes the first season, second season, the Twin spin-off, and I think there’s even a live-action Kakegurui on the platform. However, Sentai Filmworks released the first 2 seasons on blu-ray. Just remember that there’s a different English dub than what Netflix gave.

Subject: A Comprehensive Report by BonesOfBirdWings
Izuku decides early on that heroics is not the only path to heroism.
Bloom in Winter by e_va
(mature)
Izuku Midoriya used to want to be a hero. It seems a distant dream, now, after everything that he's done—after everything that he's been made to do. But it's still there. It's a dim, flickering flame, burning lower by the day.
He doesn't have time to concern himself with that though, these days he's too focused on staying alive to think too much about what he can never have.
Then All Might takes a job teaching at UA, and the universe says hey you know what would be fun? What if we fucked Izuku over even more than we already have? and thus, Izuku ends up in the General Education class of UA with strict instructions to report everything he can, because, thank fucking no one, he just can't catch a goddamn break.
AKA Hisashi Midoriya is a member of one of the most notorious underground supervillain organizations, and Izuku is being forced to help them (even though, trust him, he'd really rather not). Too bad that they don't predict that Izuku's going to get adopted by half the faculty when they send him to spy on the prestigious hero academy.

(graphic depictions of violence)
Midoriya Izuku just wants to lead a quiet, peaceful life. This is foiled by the fact that a) he can see spirits, b) his good nature demands that he help anyone he sees in trouble, and c) he, by all rights, should not exist.
Helping the heroes who have fallen victim to the new quirk-breaking drug is a terrible idea for many reasons, the first and most important being that he hates attention and avoids it like the plague. But he's the only one who can help, so he does.
This is, Izuku decides as he breaks in, more trouble than it's worth.
lord have mercy on the frozen man by IceEckos12
Izuku had been on an aircraft headed for the Arctic Circle. He’d been going there to study microbes that could live in extreme temperatures; he wasn’t supposed to be gone more than a couple of months. It was a routine trip, and he’d done it before. He hadn’t been the slightest bit worried.
And then the plane had gotten caught in a freak storm. Or at least, that was what everyone around him said. He couldn’t personally remember the event; one second he was bundled up in his coat, soaring over the icy sea and laughing at some joke the pilot had made. The next, he was waking up on an operating table, in agonizing pain because some idiot had decided it was a good idea to try and wake up the second ever frozen man.
...
Two hundred years ago, Izuku's plane went down over the icy sea. He wakes up to find himself in a world he can barely understand, and does his best to stay afloat.

Report: August-October 2012 Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture
War over a five hundred billion yen fortune broke out in Yokohama between various underground organizations. Involvement of cursed spirits and curse users was confirmed; exact numbers, identities, and cursed techniques remain unknown. Four sorcerers were dispatched to aid in civilian evacuation and the concealment of curses from present non-sorcerers. All four bodies have since been recovered.
Cause of death: Suicide by their own cursed techniques.
On the 88th day of conflict, special grade sorcerer Gojo Satoru was dispatched to Yokohama. The destruction that followed was cataclysmic.
This marked the final day of The Dragon’s Head Conflict.

exception by cassiopeia721

Tim's never been treated like a child. Why should things be any different with Red Hood?
Tim is used to being the exception, so it doesn’t really strike him as odd that he’s the exception to the Red Hood’s rules about hurting children, too. It’s not like Tim is really a child, after all. He may be child-aged and child-shaped and legally a child, but all of that is superficial. The world has never treated him a child, and when people try to act like he’s one, he feels like a grown adult who’s being forced to sit in a tiny plastic elementary school chair and drink apple juice with his goldfish crackers. Of course, at this point, goldfish and apple juice might be preferable.

Akaashi is an astrologer who’s made a fortune predicting the highs and lows of the rich and famous. He’s predicted everything from the growth of the stock market to the most auspicious times to make an investment.
The one thing he hadn’t predicted was the banker who’s been soliciting his services breaking off one of the most high profile engagements of the decade to confess his undying love to Akaashi.
As Akaashi tries to salvage his reputation, the circle of men who have become fixtures in his life swoop in to offer their services.

Sakusa ponders. He hears the other skaters of rink two whiz past as they launch themselves into lifts.

life is full of ups and downs downs downs downs dow
loredump under the cut. not kidding when I say its gonna be long!
oh shit you actually clicked keep reading thank you for your interest 😭😭😭
YOU KNOW THE DRILL tw // suggestive dont read ahead if youre uncomfortable with the topic of aphrodisiacs!
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Tumblr media
before anything, I gotta explain he was born to parents who had an infatuation quirk (makes them hardcore fall in love with you) and an infection quirk (transmits a virus via saliva)
developed his quirk late, since they usually get it by the time kids are four
most people knew him as quirkless before the first incident
in middle school, his class was preparing for a school play, he and his classmate got cast as the main lead prince and princess
coincidentally, they both had a crush on each other and had a scene where they kissed
technically they weren’t supposed to, since its just a play, but one time they were practicing in private and wanted to try kissing “for real”
so they shared a super giggly cute middle school first kiss but well UNFORTUNATELY FOR HIM HIS QUIRK HAD WELL DEVELOPED–
Tumblr media
BADABING BADABOOM YOU HAVE AN IMAGINATION USE IT
the only way for the quirk’s effects to go away is to come at least once or pleasuring yourself until it goes away
I DO NOT WANT TO IMAGINE IT BUT. IMAGINE BEING A TEACHER AND FINDING A MIDDLE SCHOOLER WHO DOES NOT KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING TO HER AND AN ADULT IS FORCED TO TELL HER HOW TO MAKE IT GO AWAY LLLLIKE–
rip now that I’m thinking abt it, I don’t even think anybody would even kNOW HOW TO MAKE IT GO AWAY so lets imagine she painfully stays that way until they figure out how to make it stop :^(
there’s a big fight that happens between the teachers, principal, and parents of both parties
of course the crush’s parents got mad and called their kid a fuckin uhhhhh sexual predator or some shit despite also beING THE SAME AGE AND NOT EVEN KNOWING ABT HIS OWN QUIRK LIKE HELLLO
Tumblr media
obviously an incident like this is going to spread like wildfire but the principal does not want something like this to leak, especially since it was not on purpose and was a total accident
the other kid’s parents and some teachers did not feel comfortable however, and sato was forced to drop out
but not wanting to spread the gossip about their son’s quirk and the incident, they leave the town and move someplace else
thankfully, the principal gives the sato family his good grades and a recommendation to a decent highschool for the trouble
they’re originally from osaka, but moved to tokyo
this is where they start taking precautions with sato, basically teaching him to be careful with his saliva
it was easily taught and learned esp since the mom was already like that around him and others everyday anyway!! she has to take care of her saliva-based infection quirk, after all
HIGH SCHOOL
Tumblr media
he got enrolled into a regular highschool in tokyo
no hero course, no support course, no business, just a regular ol’ school
if before, he loved surrounding himself with people, this was where he was forced to develop a lonely disposition to protect himself and others
at least his parents were very protective and supportive of him and they were generally a happy family!
but in school, pretending to be quirkless was just as difficult, getting bullied or pitied for having no special abilities
his excuse for wearing a mask all the time was because his mother had a virus-related quirk, and had to be careful
Tumblr media
one day his dad was suddenly got really, really sick
the more he had an excuse to wear a mask because he didnt want to get whatever disease his father started to develop
sato started thinking it could be his mother (but why?) the results didn’t say anything about an unknown virus killing him (which is his mom’s quirk), and that his father really did contract a strong yet very normal disease
while on his second year in highschool, his father, yozo sato, died
Tumblr media
apparently, without him knowing anything about his parents, his mother, oba sato, was actually under the dad’s infatuation quirk this whole time
she realised she wasn’t really in love with him when oba had accidentally allowed a drop of her saliva to fall into the meal she was making him, making him sick, and therefore making him weak enough to deactivate his quirk on her
oba, back in her college years, wanted to marry someone else but yozo, who had a crush on her wanted her to himself, used his quirk to make him fall in love with her
so in revenge for making her put up with him all these years to the point of marriage and having a kid, she continued to do this to his food
her quirk doesn’t make anybody sick enough to die, but it made her husband’s immune system weak enough to the point that it contracted a real, serious disease which he ended up dying from instead
sato only finds out the real story when he graduates from highschool, days right after his graduation the mom confesses it all
she does say she truly loves him, but can’t stay around him knowing he was technically “unconsensual love”
sato gets reminded of what his quirk does, and true enough, that’s what him and his quirk turned out to be (a sick combination of his mom and his dad)
they cant bear to be around each other after that revelation and decide to just not see each other again
COLLEGE YEARS
Tumblr media
he enrolls into an education course, inspired by the kind principal who helped him finish his middleschool-highschool education when it all started going downhill
sato struggles paying for his college fees esp since he doesn’t exactly have his parents supporting him anymore, nor any contact with immediate family
he has a lot of part time jobs that go all around the clock, he continues pretending to be quirkless so he gets bullied, and has to deal with all that emotional baggage plus being alone so…….clearly my man is TIRED as hell
his side job hustles include: convenience store cashier, bookstore attendant, bar bouncer, and rookie gym trainer (he went to the local gym long enough for him to get recommended a job as a trainer)
college was that point where he starts developing a hardcore yearning for a companion because oh my god hes so lonELY (but cant)
ANYWAY SO
there’s this bully guy who always picks on him in college (for being “quirkless” and a loner and overall a fuckin weirdo with a mask)
tbh sato doesnt really give a shit he’s so used to it but he doesnt have his mother as an excuse to wear the mask anymore, this is where he starts forming the “I have bad breath” excuse
“口臭い” (kuchi kusai) translates to “bad breath” or “stinky mouth” so sato unlovingly gets nicknamed “kusato”
Tumblr media
one day he’s walking around the campus at night and finds the bully with his gang cornering another quirkless student, with plans of assaulting her
sato was never the hero type, and was about to ignore the commotion as to not get involved, but something in him moved on its own and he found himself face to face with the gang
he confronts them, but the bully mocks both him and the girl for not having powers to stop them anyway
SIKE BITCH sato’s able to easily strike the other two guys, knock them off their feet enough to be able to tug the to-be victim aside, telling her to report them, before asking her to run away as fast as she can
none of the guys want that (they’re all students) so they have a full on brawl (and this isnt hero academy, its a totally normal university so I wouldn’t assume these guys had very impressive quirks)
except the main bully actually has a pretty decent quirk (he’s like a kinda half human half dragon with sharp claws, scales, and dragon eyes) and gets to injure sato with his sharp claws, seriously injuring his face
a part of his ear is also sort of sliced off, which is how his mask gets accidentally removed in the process
the dragon bully grabs him by the collar and starts angrily shouting at him for ruining his night, being able to do all this shit without a quirk and all and all other derogatory speech
“Well? what do you have to say for yourself?!“
Sato stays silent before spitting right into the bully’s mouth
The bully drops him immediately, about to angrily fuck him up for doing something super fucking gross but WHOOP WHOOP YOU KNOW WHATS BOUTTA HAPPEN the quirk works immediately and the bully is a TOTAL MESS on the ground
Im going to TLDR this part cos its…obviously nsfw but like: sato fully embarrasses him in public (beside the bully’s two colleges nonetheless)
Tumblr media
sato stays in the hospital for some time to heal from his wounds
fortunately, afterwards, the bullies all get expelled
unfortunately for sato, he also gets expelled for engaging in bad behaviour, and the bully did say what happened to him (and the college principal did not want his…dangerous quirk on campus) so as to lower any incident, all four were expelled
at least without having to pay for college fees anymore, he could fully focus on paying for food, shelter, and clothes
minus of course the hospital bills needed to pay plus he got a sick ass scar from it anyway HAHAHAHA BSDJHJRHDHF
ADULT LIFE
Tumblr media
he had a lot of jobs here and there, but was more or less doing best as a trainer at a local gym where people weren’t allowed to use their quirks and strengthen their body regularly
a few years went by and he eventually shrugged off everything that happened in his final college years but one day someone familiar walked into the gym! It was the fellow college student he saved!!!
she became a policewoman who wanted to get stronger in this quirkless friendly gym and hadn’t given up on her dreams of being a “hero,” inspired by how sato saved her that day
sato never really saw himself as some hero, he was left many nights alone thinking about how easily he could become a villain with his quirk, so hearing that really made him happy
he trains her as her gym coach and she eventually asks him to join her patrol this small part of the city from a gang that was currently going around doing crimes since he’s good at it anyway, saying she could use some extra hands hehe
so yeah!! he does this side gig with her where he patrols alongside her looking for gang crimes and such c:
AND ONE DAY. [WISTFUL SIGH] ONE DAY. HE FINDS SOMEBODY GETTING MUGGED BY A GANG MEMBER AND SAVES………A CERTAIN MAN–
thank you for reading all the way here!!!
feel free to ask for questions or for any clarifications 😭😭😭!!!!!!

genshin boys but they’re orchestra nerds
characters: zhongli, diluc, childe, kaeya
a/n: this is literally the most random thing but i’m feeling really self indulgent right now so here, maybe a part two with something different idk. also my orchestra knowledge only extends to the high school level so far so just keep that in mind kk? (also if you wanna know i play violin so yes i am the leading expert on orchestra nerds/j)
(kinda high school au/vaguely modern au, gender neutral but mentions of girl-majority fan clubs, mild “i’m not like others” mentality of teen age, and very little suggestive themes)
———-/
zhongli
he is the upperclassman first violin who takes his school breaks to help teach the other younger classes, the one each member looks up to with some mix of envy and attraction when the teacher continuously praises his posture and technique. the younger girls swoon over him, and you swear he must be keeping the program running just from the new recruits hoping to catch the eye of such a talented young man. you’re really only there with him for the extra credit, but he’s just so...him. does that make sense?
first violins in a string orchestra generally carry the melodies of pieces, and as a result the section itself is highly desired. nothing is wrong with being a second violin, it just couldn’t be zhongli aha; concert black is like all black dresswear, which differs from place to place. it’s usually dress pants and a nice shirt, but different areas can have things like uniforms or specific dress.
you are quite staunchly against being a cliche, but by the stars if he doesn’t stop being so charming and smart with that voice of his every time you join him with the younger grades, you’re going to make a very stupid decision the next time you see him in concert black.
diluc
most definitely a bass player. mysterious and somewhat enigmatic, a quiet private lessons kid who volunteered to play with your class to offset the amount of smaller instruments. the others gossip amongst themselves about how his backpack is emblazoned with the crest of a famous academy and how they’d very much like to “test his vibrato technique” (wink-wonk), but you spot how a small cord of blue beads dangles from his backpack and the way he keeps a small smile even as he’s rolling his eyes at someone on the other line of the call.
vibrato is a technique used to warble and waver the sound of the string, which you may have seen used in media occasionally (it’s basically that finger movement they do while playing). the string bass is a big instrument and i mean,,, diluc in a blazer and collared shirt with a high ponytail feels like something that appeals to a lot of people
his brother is rather moody, but at least kaeya knows when to back off (most of the time). but the way diluc looks at you when you’re looking away - he wouldn’t be so mad with a wingman, would he?
childe
first chair viola. this smug, flirty little rich boy has been a pain in your ass since you met him at the organized rehearsal, and were (begrudgingly) sat to his right at the connection of your sections. i mean, this is a collective of the best student players in the state, and he’s…challenging you to bowfence with him? there’s someone strange about this “childe,” and you’re going to find out before the three days are up.
childe would play viola just because it’s the most slandered instrument so naturally he wants to master it and become best at it. bowfencing is like the young orchestra kid’s show of dominance and only flirting technique until they adapt. this is based lightly off of my time with all state/all city orchestra, but it differs from place to place.
you’ve finally got some free time right before the performance, when you see the boy you babysit on the weekends; teucer, with his older siblings tonia and anthon at the door. oh, they’re not here with your family, but here for their brother? you’ve heard a lot about this sweetheart, why don’t they point him out before the concert so you can finally meet the elusive ajax?
kaeya
also viola, but much more casual about it. it’s his hobby, which is code for he saw how his adoptive family treasured their expensive talents and wanted something to share with his new and distant brother. a new student transfer; he says he’s practically inept at it but the calluses on his fingertips beg to differ. the teacher makes you his tour guide, and you squint at his mannerisms when a wave of deja vu overcomes your senses. but, who is this boy, and why does the look of blue hair in low light look so familiar?
kaeya originally wanted to play bass but in typical brotherly fashion, he and diluc made a bet which he lost. chamber music is usually played by a small group of players, with each one having a single part. yes, this is a childhood friends/light amnesia trope, don’t blame me blame netflix for making wish dragon so cute ok? good.
you and he are from two different lives, but he’ll be damned if he lets those circumstances tear the two of you apart again. being partnered for the end-of-year chamber project is supposed to be his saving grace, but perhaps a red-haired deux ex machina may be of better use here?

Forest Wolf Academy Idea
I formed this idea after I read a Miraculous fanfiction where Marinette transferred to a school for magic along with Chloe, Nathaniel, Marc, and her brother. At the school already is Felix and the Quad kids. The magic schools are actually for those that are members of witch covens and you must be a member of the coven to join the school. Luke and Juleka are also witches but in a different cousin. Marinette and the other transfer because of Lila. Adrien soon joins them at the school as well. I also got inspiration from the anime Fairy Tail.
I loved the concept of it so much that it gave me my own idea. My idea if an Adrien-focused story since he is my favorite character and always will be.
My idea started after Miracle Queen. Because of Chloe working with Hawkmoth and because Lila had turned so many of Marinette's friends against her, her parents transferred her to an art school so that she can focus on her designing. The only ones that stayed her friends were Adrien, Nathaniel, Kim, Alix, and Juleka. Outside of the class, she had a lot more friends, but her parents wanted her away from Chloe and Lila.
Adrien's dad still makes him model with Lila despite how Adrien and the staff are always telling him that she is the worst model ever. She never shuts up with her lies, never poses as she is told to do, and is basically also sexually harassing Adrien as well. She drives them all crazy.
But then one day during another photoshoot, Adrien hears some music and is drawn toward it. The music is like a siren song that he does not notice that only he can hear. When he arrives at the source of the song, he finds an old friend of his, Lyon Garden. Lyon and his twin sister Vallia are friends of his that he met in Greece when their family hosted a charity fashion show at their family's nature and animal sanctuary. Adrien had gone there with his parents a year before his mom vanished and he kept in contact with them the entire time.
Lyon and Adrien are happy to see each other, Adrien spilling his guts about everything bad going on. Especially all the things with Lila and Chloe. And Lyon gives him an extraordinary opportunity. The reason why Adrien was able to hear his magical song was because he was magical as well. A fellow witch. So, he was able to offer him a place at his school, Forest Wolf Academy.
The two of them went to Gabriel and he actually let Adrien go to the magic school. It turns out that Adrien's mom had also been a witch and that was why he was allowing Adrien to go so easily. Adrien is more than happy to accept the offer.
When Adrien goes to Forest Wolf Academy, he is amazed to see such an incredible school. Forest Wolf is not the only magic school in the world. Each school is hidden in a pocket dimension where they can be entered in any place in the world through the use of a magical key. But each school still has a main magical doorway in the home of the founder of each school. Forest Wolf's main door is in Athens, Greece.
Adrien only lets his real friends know that he is transferring. He would have told Nino, but he no longer considered him his best friend since he turned against Marinette. But given that magical people can hear Lyon's magical song, there are more teen witches in Paris than Adrien knew about. So, even after he transfers, he is actually soon joined by a lot of his true friends. Luka, Kagami, Nathaniel, Marc, Juleka, Kim, and Alix. And each of them would have their own powers that Lyon and Vallia help them learn to control.
Lyon has siren song magic. He is a real-life siren with the added abilities to control sound and music, not just being able to use his voice as a weapon. Vallia has rainbow aura magic. She is also to surround herself with different color light auras that give her other abilities like how sky blue gives her flight and ruby red helps her shoot fire like a dragon.
Adrien would find out that he has light magic, being able to control all forms of light and even be able to change into it like a human shooting star. Luka would have enchanted instrument magic, being able to do all types of things by playing different instruments while still having his natural ability to hear a person's inner song. Juleka would have a similar ability called music spirit magic, where she is able to turn into magical creature spirits that are hybrids with music like harp playing fairies or werewolf drummers. Kagami would have Requip magic, where she is able to store weapons and armor in a separate dimension that only she can access. Nathaniel would have art-to-reality magic where he is able to bring his drawings to life no matter what they are. Marc would have Fairy Tale magic where he could read from a magical storybook that he has and summon any legendary or mythical creature from it. Kim would have were-beast magic where he is able to turn into any were-creature version of any animal like a werewolf or cat creature. And Alix would have time magic, where she would be able to manipulate time around her while also being able to travel through time on her own.
All of them actually have a great time at Forest Wolf Academy and learn to appreciate and covet their magical lives even if Hawkmoth is still a problem. But he would actually have become less active lately as if he is losing motivation for trying to gain the miraculous.
Vallia would actually gain a crush on Kim and the two of them would eventually start dating. The same would go for Juleka and Alix as well as Luka and Kagami. Nathaniel and Marc would be an already established couple since they are too adorable to break up. Adrien would also find himself gaining a crush on Lyon, something he never expected to have on his old friend.
But, as per all good things, their peace had to come to an end. Magic itself was not hidden, just the people that used it. It was why heroes and villains like Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Hawkmoth all had masks when they used the miraculous.
But, the schools have come under some fire with people thinking that they were secret evil cults that wanted to take over the world. So, they all had to open their doors to people. To politicians, school field trips, and even some tours of powerful world leaders just to show that they were all perfectly normal schools that just happen to teach magic to their witch students.
Only, one of the schools that request to tour Forest Wolf Academy is Dupont High, which puts the new students on edge. Especially Adrien and Juleka because of Lila and Rose. It did not help that Lyon and Alix were very protective of their partners and would hurt anyone that tries to hurt them.
But since they have to keep up appearances as a "normal" magical school, they have to accept the field trip request. Luckily, it is the whole school and not just Bustier's class. So, there are still good students like Aurore, Mireille, and Zoé. It is only Bustier's class that believes Lila, anyway.
Adrien and the others do their best to avoid Lila and her attack dogs. They have their jobs to stop the more temperamental students from attacking the annoying group with how they obviously bully almost everyone around them. Not to mention all of the lies that keep coming out of Lila's mouth that she is related to so many powerful witches, how she is a descendant of Merlin, how her grandparents run the best magic school in the world.
There are a lot of students that wanted her head. Especially since it was known through Adrien and Lyon that she had not heard Lyon's magical song, meaning that she had no magic at all. And since magic was passed down from parent to child, that also meant that no one in her family had magic either. Not unless they were one of those families that had been stripped of their magic for crimes against the magical world.
And if it wasn't Lila causing problems with her lies, Chloe was causing problems with her attitude. And how she kept trying to force the students to do as she says and make them her slaves. Like she would go to those with ice magic and demand that they get her a cold drink. Or she would go to the students with gem and crystal magic and demand that they give her the biggest diamond that they can make.
Once the former Dupont students are found by the group is when things really go downhill. There is a lot of yelling about how they abandoned their friends, that they should not be so jealous of Lila's accomplishments, how they needed to get over themselves, how they needed to stop being bullies. And the group fires back that they can not abandon friends that abandoned them first, that they can not be jealous of accomplishments that never happened, and that they never talk to Lila let alone bully her.
Meanwhile, Adrien is trying hard not to be seen by Lila or Chloe since he does not want either of them hanging off his arm like they usually do. But, Lila soon locks her eyes on him and down try and latch onto him, crying her crocodile tears about how much she missed him and how she wanted him back since he "promised to date her."
That is where Lyon steps in and would be so close to using his sonic scream on the annoying liar. Adrien uses his powers to turn into light and get back to Lyon's side. That is when the two of them go into a big "why Lila sucks" speech and reveals that the two of them were dating and that Adrien would never EVER date Lila.
She is not exposed, but a new demonstration of the more dangerous powers from the students, low key threats against the annoying class, makes them never come back after they leave.
Lila hopes to be akumatized over her rage about not being able to lie her way into dating Adrien, but she does not know that Gabriel gave Marinette the butterfly miraculous and the peacock miraculous already. He gave up once he saw how truly happy his son was and did not want the wish to change his son into any other version of him that would never be this happy. It also helps that a few witches from the school that could heal offered to help him restore his wife.

Cozy Little Horrors, WIP re-intro
Tumblr media
Laugh in the face of all that is ridiculous, even if it's called holy. Smile without minding your fangs. Your only job here is to figure out who you are without destroying the world. Believe me, it's harder than it sounds.
The basics:
Title: Cozy Little Horrors
Genre: rural fantasy, comedy, coming-of-age
Genre category: Y/A, N/A
Type: a collection of short stories.
Themes/Tropes: found family, self-discovery, the bad of both extremes, winning against all odds, a group of misfits against the world.
The premise:
Magefolk - magical humans and creatures - have lived among humans for all of history, at times openly, at times in secret.
In the present day, two powerful but very untraditional vampires start an academy for those who need guidance with their powers but don't have anyone to teach them, those who are labeled as monsters. This unique establishment is targeted both by the Order, a group of humans who want to rid the earth of all magefolk, and the Night, an organization of magefolk who want to keep their race clean of the outcasts and the unwanted.
But it seems that the honor of destroying the Academy might go to the students, seeing how unauthorized demon-summoning, time-traveling, and raising of undead armies is a typical Wednesday here. Will anyone survive to see the graduation?
Follow the all-fun, logic-free adventures of the Academy with:
The principals:
Lev and Evgeny Krasnomishkovs, the vampire QPR couple that founded and run the Academy. They try their best. They mostly fail.
The teachers:
Bylur, A lowkey ice giant. A no-nonsense bi lady. Can be impressed by axes. Cannot be impressed by students.
Elin, a genderfluid necromancer. The most chill person to ever walk the earth, they can be either the solution to the current disaster or its cause.
Arthur Wen, he/him agender, a weremonkey and magician. The one to search for potential students and bring them to the academy. Friendly but deadly.
Luis, an undead ex-member of the Order. Pretty hostile at first but eventually grows to love his adopted monster kids students. Cis guy, gay.
Angelica, a time-traveler, is a disorganized mess of a person, who, in all honesty, shouldn't be trusted with time travel. Had to be resurrected so many times she now has a special discount from Elin.
Nira, a demigoddess, with the powers of healing and restoration. Yes, she is also the one to heal the injured and fix the academy up. Yes, she doesn't remember what sleep is.
The students:
Pat (the name Patricia is banned), a rebellious werelizard with a heart of probably stolen gold. Ace, pan.
Mike, a lively and carefree ghost demiboy. Not the one to cause trouble by himself but is extremely easily peer-pressured.
Diego, a pan wind-magic wizard, and weresnake. Quiet and serious, he likes hanging out with his disaster friends and consequently gets dragged into trouble.
Katya, a trans girl, and a cheerful and deeply mischievous forest spirit's descendant.
Many others (this is getting too long)
Other information:
Posted parts:

i think the postwar gaang was me? wondering what their ideal careers would, besides, ya know, be a c*p and the boy prince of a racist natiom
aang: i mean, obviously he’s the avatar, so that’s pretty much a full-time job. plus he’s got another full-time job on top of that, which is being the last airbender. so between being a spiritual leader, a political figure, a cultural icon, a de facto historian, and a...god??? he’s pretty busy. that said, i’d like to think that between restoring the air temples and educating the world on his history and solving political conflicts and communicating with the spirits, he makes time to open a jewelry store, as per sokka’s (sarcastic) suggestion. i just think that would be good for him. also, one of his lesser-known achievements is rehabilitating sky bison and winged lemurs from the brink of extinction, as well as popularizing lychee sorbet and the concept of a “theme party.” what can i say, he’s kind of a renaissance man like that.
zuko: assuming he doesn’t have to ascend the throne as a traumatized teenage boy (historically speaking, the worst demographic to be making decisions of any kind), zuko actually has quite a few viable career options! I think he’d make a great elementary school english teacher. I also think he’d enjoy being a theatre critic. or maybe someone who works with animals, perhaps rehabilitating them? actually, aang and zuko would be great colleagues even if their work wasn’t to restore balance to the world. they both like working with kids and animals. much better than having to work with stuffy dignitaries who love colonialism. that said, since that’s not really an option for zuko at the moment, I like to think that he manages to find some hobbies he can work into his routine to balance the stress of being Boy King Of Racist Nation. for example, he runs an anonymous column reviewing local theatre, turns the palace into what is basically a cat shelter, and perhaps even takes up painting! i think he, katara, and sokka would all enjoy watercolors. also sometimes he still waits tables at the jasmine dragon, which he considers to be “vacation time.”
katara: well obviously she eventually becomes chief, but not right away. (i don’t care how powerful she is and how many oppressive regimes she’s overthrown, i do not want a fourteen year old telling me what to do!) she and sokka are integral in reconstructing the southern water tribe, a laborious yet extremely rewarding undertaking. soon after the war ends, katara finds her calling teaching others waterbending, and as she rebuilds the tribe, she also opens a waterbending school. it becomes the most prestigious waterbending academy in the world (take that pakku) and every waterbender’s dream is to study under her. eventually she retires from teaching and leaves the school to her former ta’s, but she agrees to teach korra because she doesn’t trust anyone else to teach waterbending to the avatar. she’s also the world’s best healer so people from across the world with the most severe conditions go to her if they are truly desperate. since she is so busy at all times, most people know not to bother her with anything that isn’t life-threatening, but she is always willing to see a patient at any time, free of charge of course. eventually once she does become chief, the transition is seamless, because she was basically already doing everything anyway.
sokka: the thing is, sokka does not have an ideal career, sokka has one thousand ideal careers. the only non-ideal career for sokka is anything that relegates him to one place for too long. i see sokka as being aang’s right hand man, ie, “not the avatar, but basically the avatar.” aang has a lot on his plate, so sometimes instead of the cheerful air nomad who wants to peacefully resolve your conflict, you get the grumpy bastard who very matter of factly tells you exactly how to solve your problems and you should probably listen to him because he’s definitely smarter than you. he also works closely with the firelord, and the fact that he’s not a fire nation citizen means that he sort of has immunity to do and say whatever the fuck he wants. especially since the fire nation would’ve fallen into civil war almost immediately without him. since he’s neither an air nomad like aang or the firelord like zuko (two extremely loaded roles) it’s much easier for sokka to remain detached and impartial and also he has no real obligations to anyone, since the only person he’s truly afraid of disappointing is kanna, and he’s already doing that by not visiting home enough. but he’s busy, gran gran!!! he’s got his freelance political consultant career that takes him all over the world, not to mention his research, and his inventions, and his classes at ba sing se university, plus he’s a member of the [redacted] society... he’s a busy guy!
toph: she spends a lot of time at the palace with zuko. everyone’s confused as to why she wouldn’t wanna be....anywhere but here, but zuko also knows better than to be like “aren’t you gonna visit your family?” like katara did (not because zuko has more tact, but because katara can’t imagine not wanting to be with her family). (toph does eventually visit them. it’s weird. she doesn’t like it. she makes a beeline for iroh’s next just to wash the bad taste out.) being one of zukos “advisors” is great because zuko is terrible at telling when people are lying to his face and toph is great at it. (she’s also one of the only people in the world who doesn’t get annoyed at zuko when he throws a tantrum.) eventually, she finds chumps with some potential to whom she teaches metalbending. they’re pretty much all in the earth kingdom so she is forced to leave zuko’s side, but she visits him whenever she can, and then makes ceaseless comments about how the fire nation has fallen into total disarray without their melonlord.
suki: being the leader of the kyoshi warriors is already the perfect job for suki. she gets to travel the world and help people, and empower other young women. also she’s part of a an all-girl folk punk band which started out as only a hobby, but soon became something of a second career for her. i think that she would split most of her time between being the leader of the kyoshi warriors and being a member of the gaang; she works very closely with aang on executing his vision for harmony, and also she just goes on all sorts of adventures. she especially loved that time katara invited her to the north pole to topple the patriarchy with her. those were some good times.

From a very young age, Obito's grandmother had cautioned him to guard his heart.
"There is nothing more dangerous than an Uchiha in love," she warned him. "If you're not careful, caring too deeply will destroy you, drive you to madness."
For a five-year-old Obito, all it took to fall in love were three words, coming from a girl with sparkling brown eyes and the brightest smile he'd ever seen.
"Hey, nice goggles!"
~~
Obito, as a general rule, tried to avoid thinking too much about Hatake Kakashi. As far as he was concerned, stupid Bakashi already had too many people thinking about him. It felt like Obito couldn't go five minutes without hearing the whispers of "prodigy" and "genius" and "future-Hokage" trailing Kakashi everywhere he went (and what really stung was that they probably weren't wrong-- what Obito worked at for hours upon hours to accomplish, Kakashi managed in minutes without breaking a sweat).
Obito thought he'd been doing a pretty good job of ignoring Kakashi all things considered, despite the other boy's annoying attitude and annoying hair and annoying voice and annoying mask and annoying everything. He didn't even care (much) about Kakashi's annoyingly large number of fangirls-- up until he noticed that Rin had also started watching him.
He lasted three days before he confronted her about it.
"Why're you watching Kakashi?" Obito blurted out. He'd considered straight up asking her if she had a crush on him-- like half the girls in their class, he thought bitterly-- but had chickened out at the last moment. He wasn't sure what he'd do if the answer was yes--probably something that would land him in detention again.
"He's walking home alone again," Rin said quietly, gaze still fixated on Kakashi's departing figure. "It's been weeks now."
"So?" Obito asked. "He walks home by himself all the time."
Rin shook her head.
"Only when his father's on a mission. Which he might be, I don't know, but given what happened--" Her voice trailed off. Obito didn't need her to complete the sentence, anyway. Everyone in the village knew what had happened on Hatake Sakumo's disastrous mission.
"We're going to follow him," Rin decided. That got Obito's attention.
"What? Why?" He wasn't whining. He wasn't.
"Because something's not right here. And until we figure out what it is, I'd feel better watching over him to make sure he's safe." She glanced at him and grinned. "Besides, this will allow you to practice your stealth skills. And my Henge skills. Think I can make a convincing bush?"
~~
Through some miracle, because Rin did not make a convincing bush-- bushes didn't move for one thing, nor did they have legs-- they managed to follow Kakashi back to the Hatake Compound undetected. The moment the compound came into sight, Rin jolted, her henge dropping away completely.
"Oh," she whispered, eyes widening. Obito swallowed, feeling rather sick to the stomach himself.
The wall of the compound was completely covered by graffiti. Obito clenched his fists, mouth going dry-- there were words on there that would make Obito's grandmother scrub his mouth with soap if he even thought of saying them but worse than that were the words scattered between the cursing and insults:
Failure
Disgrace
Weak
Monster
Shameful
Your fault
Your fault
Your fault
"Obito." Rin's voice was strangely calm.
"Y-Yeah?" Obito cleared his throat, tearing his gaze away from the Hatake Compound. Kakashi didn't deserve that, he found himself thinking. His dad didn't deserve it either. No one deserved that.
Rin glanced at him, eyes hard.
"Do you think your grandmother would be okay with you sleeping over at my house tonight?"
Obito blinked, then slowly began to smile.
"I think I can convince her."
"Great." Rin folded her arms across her chest. "How are your painting skills?"

Of all the things Sakumo expected to find outside his house in the middle of the night, two kids wearing badly-made face masks painting his wall was not one of them.
"What are you guys doing?" Kakashi demanded, looking like he wasn't sure whether to be angry or confused.
"What does it look like we're doing, Bakashi?" The kid in the orange eye-mask retorted. "Everyone calls you a genius, figure it out."
This night was getting weirder and weirder, Sakumo thought bemusedly to himself.
"You're...vandalizing my house. At two in the morning," Kakashi replied. It looked like the confusion was winning out over the anger.
"It's not vandalism if it's done with good intentions," the girl in the purple eye mask said primly. Sakumo resisted the urge to rub at his eyes.
"Friends of yours, Kakashi?" Sakumo asked, and received an immediate flurry of responses.
"No, I hardly even know them, they're just some kids from my class--"
"Friends with Bakashi? No way, I--"
"Not yet at least."
Sakumo let them talk over each other, gaze drifting back over to the half-completed paint job. They'd...done a surprisingly good job, actually. He could barely see the words underneath anymore.
He held up a hand, causing all three kids to go quiet.
"Why?" He asked finally, addressing the two kids who apparently weren't friends with Kakashi and yet had gone to the trouble to do all...this.
"Why not?" the boy said defiantly, jutting his chin up. "We felt like it and your wall is messed up, so we're painting it to look better."
The girl remained silent for a beat longer, before turning to look him in the eye.
"Because you deserve better," she said. Sakumo's mouth twisted.
"I'm not sure I do," he murmured, almost inaudibly. He blinked as the girl suddenly narrowed her eyes, brandishing her paintbrush at him like a kunai.
"Don't say that," she hissed, glaring fiercely at him "Don't you dare say that! The first thing they teach us in the Academy is that your teammates always, always come first. You acted according to that and the fact that people are treating you like a monster for it is wrong."
"It's not that simple--"
"It's not your fault that Konoha is on the brink of war,” she interrupted sharply. "If you didn't trigger it, someone else would have. You don't teach five year olds wartime tactics if you're not expecting...if you're not preparing for a war. People don't want to admit that, so they look for someone to blame-- but that's their problem, not yours."
She turned around, re-coating her brush with paint.
"I can't make you believe me, Hatake-san. But what I can do is cover up this wall of yours. At the very least, Kakashi-kun doesn't deserve to look at this every day."
At that, Kakashi straightened up, scowling at her. If his glare seemed rather halfhearted, no one pointed it out.
"I don't need you to do it, I can do it myself," he grumbled.
"Great," the girl said without missing a beat. "While you're here, you can settle a debate between me and Obito-- hypothetically speaking, would you prefer snakes painted on the wall or dragons?"
"C'mon Rin, dragons are so much cooler, what kind of person would prefer snakes--"
"Obito, neither of us can even draw a dragon and besides, they summon snakes--"
"What? No we don't! We summon dogs!"
"Oh. Really? But your dad is called the White Fang. That wasn't a reference to snake fangs?"
"No!"
"Huh. Who summons snakes then? Someone summons snakes."
"Forget the snakes, is there a dragon contract I can sign?"
"They'd take one look at you and eat you, dead last."
"Shut up, Bakashi!"
Sakumo felt his lips twitch. He turned around to walk back inside, feeling lighter than he had in weeks.
And to think, he'd been worried about Kakashi making friends.
