How does Aurora's broader cultural/existential relationship with death differ from ours? Since the main thing influencing our view of death is that we don't know what happens when we die, and the Aurora people (Aurorans?) already have a factual explanation for this, would that make them accept death more, or fear it more?
Well, they have a factual explanation, but it isn't quite the same thing as an understanding.
In the real world, we know what happens to our body when we die, and some people find it comforting that the atoms that make them up are going to go into the cycle of growth and rebirth that makes up the planet's ecosystem. We are a concrete, tangible thing, and we know what it means to die.
However, there is a core unanswered question, which is "what part of me makes me me?" I think, therefore I am; I exist, and I am the observer contained within this body. I contain a theoretically infinite inner world of thoughts and imagination and can conceive of worlds beyond number. There is something in me that makes me different from you, that explains why I see the world through these eyes and nobody else's. "The Brain is wider than the Sky, For put them side by side, The one the other will contain With ease, and you beside."
But what is that observer? Where is it in the body? Where does it go when the body dies?
The observer cannot conceive of a world without itself in it, because the observer by its nature only knows the world it has seen.
In the real world, many people call this observer "the soul", an ephemeral and intangible concept. Many attempts have been made to find a physical core that is or holds this ephemeral concept, because we really want it to physically exist. I think, therefore I am, therefore I must be something. In ancient Egypt, the heart was thought to be the seat of consciousness. Nowadays that's how we think of the brain. But the brain is a very complicated thing, and we don't really know what each part of it corresponds to when mapped to the mind, and every time we think we have a solid answer, we learn something new that makes the whole thesis unravel. People who have suffered brain damage or illnesses often have difficulty engaging with the world around them, but if and when they are lucid they are often clearly still themselves - which indicates that their Self, their Observer, isn't just "the brain", because even when the brain is harmed the self persists, just somewhat disconnected from the world, lacking some of the tools it previously had access to that allowed it to engage with its surroundings.
People have tried weighing bodies at the moment of death to see if the soul has a weight (it doesn't) and many theological arguments have debated its existence, because nothing is more fun to argue about than something that can absolutely never be proven one way or another.
Many religions build core tenets around "where does the observer go when the body dies." Reincarnation is a popular concept - because the observer cannot conceive of a world without itself in it, it might find it comforting to believe it could continue to observe the world from new vantage points. Afterlives are another popular idea, the belief that an observer "goes somewhere else" when the body fails. We're not very good at comprehending endings, I think; the way we see the world and the way we engage with our memories can sort of leave us feeling like our past is one big eternal moment, and people we've lost linger forever in our memories - it doesn't always make sense that they simply don't exist anymore, and it's easier for us to think of them as simply Somewhere Else. Somewhere we can't get to, but somewhere. It's why we get so dizzied when we go back somewhere like a childhood home or an old school and find the place refurbished or demolished - it's eternal in our memories, and we don't really understand how it could simply stop existing. How can the world move on without us, when the world we lived in is so clear in our memories? How can a person be gone, when they're so vibrant and alive in our memories?
In Aurora, souls are a concrete thing, a weaving of an energy that is documented, omnipresent and has tangible effects on the world around it. But does that tell an Auroran person where their observer is? Their personhood exists in the latticed weave of an energy that is vaster and older than the world. When they die, the energy unweaves; the pattern is lost, but the energy remains. To my mind, this is no different than how we relate to the atoms that make up our bodies. They're physical, known quantities, but the thing that makes us us is some metaphysical concept contained in the information of how those building blocks are specifically put together. When we die, those atoms do other things; every part of us remains, but we are gone. Where did we go? What is the "we" that is gone?
I don't think the people of Aurora have any more answers than we do about this. Knowing for sure that they have souls doesn't tell them anything more about who they are.

I’ve always wondered why stone butches are exclusively a lesbian thing (as far as I know). Like, you never hear about gay men where one doesn’t want to be touched sexually, so it’s not a gay thing. You don’t hear of straight couples where that’s a thing either, so it’s not a woman thing.
The only reasons I can think of are that women have more sexual baggage and feel more vulnerable (and are less horny than men generally), so it’s unlikely a man would want this. And then on top of that a man in a straight relationship is unlikely to tolerate his girlfriend not wanting her genitals to be touched ever, so a straight woman who felt like this would probably just be single. But then again, I’m sure there are men who would be happy to be sucked off by women during casual sex with no reciprocation - and I’ve never heard of that either!
But are there other reasons do you think? Is it butch women having hang ups about their female genitals being touched, or about feeling vulnerable to a partner because they are masculine as a woman?
I find this so interesting to think about.
While I can see where this line of thinking comes, from I would like to challenge it for a couple of reasons.
The first being that stone lesbians have a long historical association with the term. For many of us, our stone-ness stems from trauma and that cannot be separated from it. The identities, what they connote, and the safety they bring to the lesbian community can never be devalued or disassociated. And I am specifically talking stone. Both top and bottom, butch and femme. This isn't a hang up about "female genitals". I have classically "male" genitals and still identify as a stone butch. Stone comes from a collective understanding of our needs, and how factors in our life made us not okay with certain things being done to us, and saying "yeah, those needs are okay actually. That's desirable. I'm not broken." So firstly anon, I'd like you to ask yourself where your perceptions of stone stem from.
Secondly though, while I can see where you're coming from, I really want to challenge the notion of men not wanting these things. Of men always wanted to be touched, wanting sexual attention. This speaks to a deep issue of stigmatization/generalization of male sexuality. As horn dogs. As sexually hungry machines. I challenge the idea that there aren't men who don't want acts associated with stone tops/bottoms because I know men personally who do. I know men who are sex repulsed. I know men who only ever want to eat their cishet girlfriend out, top her, and focus on her, never once asking for reciprocation. I know men who have that classic "infinite libido" of male hood but are the biggest power bottoms on the planet and would rather eat glass before topping someone because it makes them feel dysphoric. Makes them feel wrong.
As for "women are less horny than men", have you seen lesbian tumblr? Have you seen booktok? Some of us are SHAMELESS. Feminine libido has nigh on infinite potential for some and it is a beautiful thing that should never ever be swept under the rug with a generalization like that. Men are expected to have limitless libido and this too must be challenged. Growing up male, before coming out as trans, it was an extreme source of shame that my sexuality didn't align with the other boys. That I didn't experience sexuality the same. I got bullied incessantly for not being a sexual deviant, and I wasn't the only one. This idea of the ever-hungry masculine directly attributes to toxic masculinity and ideas perpetuated by patriarchal relationship standards.
Part of how I think collectively we can evolve and heal our understanding of sexuality and healthy sexual practices is understanding your needs intimately, regardless of gender or sexuality. Learning how to effectively communicate those needs, and subsequently accepting when others have their own needs (including when they don't align with yours, not everyone is compatible and that's okay). Just like how a classic stone4stone relationship seems to be what will be my ultimate ideal match-up, everyone's needs deserve to be met and honored by a partner with needs that align with theirs.
Stone top/bottom, stone butch/femme are incredibly unique and important identities within the lesbian community. Claiming stone for myself has helped heal years and years of shame and trauma around my sexuality that I never thought possible to heal. Those terms I can argue stay in the lesbian community for the various historical and cultural implications. But I also really do need to stress how much we should accept the experiences associated with stone being applicable to everyone, even if the terminology may not be.

hi!! i can't get this off my mind - love hear your thoughts!
I don't understand and still need to answer for myself: I generally see us modern polytheists pray for and attribute good outcomes to gods' interference/support (eg. good garden yield, long-needed rain, creative or shadow work breakthroughs) and refuse to attribute gods' interference when "bad things" happen (eg. dead plants, natural disasters) because it would be unscientific to do so.
Obviously "gods" is no longer adequate scientific reasoning for the weather forecast. Godly things can happen, but most of the time the reasons are mundane.
So how can we pray for rain from Zeus, get rain, and attribute this to his generosity, when you can't "blame" Poseidon for an earthquake or tsunami that strikes your home?
hello love. I've touched on this a few times on my pages over time. the post that sticks out the most to me is this one. this answer is also going to be extremely leaning on personal opinion/upg so keep that in mind.
i personally do attribute negative things to the Theoi, that has always been a very central idea for my practice. i definitely wouldn't deem this "unscientific", I would argue that it's unscientific to only attribute positive qualities.
my reasoning is that our concepts of good/bad, positive/negative, helpful/damaging, etc tend to be human-centric. we define things as good based on how they effect humans, not how they effect the earth or any other species. one could argue that, in some aspect, earthquakes are positive because they are a product of the earth's movement and constant change. the opposite is also true, the rains that help our crops grow could be very catastrophic if I was a butterfly without shelter.
so, my answer is people will focus on good qualities and reject the bad because they push their mortal, human morals onto the natural workings of the earth. our planet was not made specifically for us, it's a miracle that our species even evolved and gained the ability to conceptualize religion. the Theoi would have carried on had we not evolved, but we did, and that's the blessing of our existence.
it can be very eye-opening to begin praising the Gods for the bad things in life. it helps you realize that existence, especially with how vast and diverse it is, is not all about humanity. killing that part of your ego allows you to get infinitely closer to the Theoi because you are no longer rejecting parts of Them that don't benefit you. the true blessing is that we evolved to the point that we are able to form the connections and commune with the energetic side in the first place, not the gifts or benefits that may come with it.
especially because, in more cases than not, the bad is what clears the way for the good. your partner leaves you and you're shattered, but it allows you to follow your passion without someone pinning you down. you're kicked out of a job you worked hard at, but you avoid a disaster that occurs in that building. so then, what constitutes something being good and something being bad ?
you generally see people pray for good things because most people aren't inclined to share the worst parts of their lives. this is the internet, you're only seeing a very small part of someone's practice—the parts the choose to show you. behind the scenes, we all struggle, so remember that what you see here is but a small slice of our real lives and praxis. for the ancient people, the bad things certainly outweighed the good. in modern times we live very privileged lives compared to them, especially with modern medicine and widespread access to diverse foods and cultures. it makes sense that they would only wish to invoke the good qualities, the bad ones were already way too prevalent.
this answer is also swayed by my belief that the mundane is the most Godly. I believe the Theoi encompass all that They rule, and are present in every being and object under Their wing. it's an extremely animist-leaning perspective. I hope this can help you come to your own conclusions :)

Astonishing X-men Beast, if someone were to ask you what’s the main issue with the X-men/ Professor X philosophy what would you say? Not from anyone else’s experiences just yours and events that have taken place. While I take you as someone very loyal to the dream of Xavier, even though Scott is the poster boy/boy-scout of the team, you’ve surely have diverged at some point. Not completely, but slightly. Maybe. I don’t know.
". . . Have you ever noticed something a little odd about the First Class of X-Men? Charles' handpicked selection of mutants with whom to shock, astonish, charm, and woo the world?"
Tumblr media
"Professor Xavier had access to Cerebro, the most advanced mutant locating technology ever devised, working in conjunction with one of the most powerful and well trained minds that's ever graced this Earth. He had his pick of an entire planet's worth of mutants whom he could have chosen to elevate, to show the world, to use to prove to the human race that we were not to be hated and feared.
And he chose five white young Americans with non-threatening powers.
Sometimes I wonder - if I looked back then how I look now, would I have made the cut? Would the Professor have deemed me worthy of being a flag-bearer for his dream? Perhaps. Perhaps not."
Tumblr media
"But that is the issue, isn't it? The dream requires infinite patience. It requires infinite understanding. It requires an infinite capacity to be smacked in the face and turn the other cheek. It requires certain qualities. It requires certain people, includes certain people, excludes others, if only by proxy.
It requires a seventeen year old boy to be nearly beaten to death by an angry mob and decide, no, I'll continue to fight for you."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"That's quite a thing to ask of a child. That's quite a thing to ask of anyone, don't you think? There are those who might say that when it comes to survival, the moral high ground merely ends up being the six foot of earth separating you and the top soil. I don't agree, obviously, but. It's not a life for everyone.
Sometimes, I think it's not a life for anyone."
Tumblr media
"But, in the end, I do believe. I believe in co-existence. I have a mother and a father who have loved me from the instant they saw me, no matter how unnatural my appendages.
They remind me that, no matter what else happens, there are always humans who make the world better. Humans who will like us, love us, break bread with us, protect us, nurture us. Even though it may seem like all you ever see are the sneering faces calling you a gene-freak, the other kind of person exists, too. It helps, to break the surface and take a deep breath every now and then. Remind yourself what you're fighting for."
Tumblr media
". . . The Professor himself has admitted that the dream may well be just a dream. That it needs to change if it's to become reality. It needs to include the physically mutated, the violent, the dispossessed, the unhappy, the unruly, the different. The strange.
The uncanny.
But the problem is that dreamers aren't made. They become. In some ways, maybe we're all just waiting for the new dreamer to come along to tell us what the next big idea should be.
For a time, I wondered if that might be me. But, I don't think it is. I'm excited to meet them, however. Whoever they may be. And when I do, I just hope they recognise that even if their dream is better, the Professor's dream are still the shoulders upon which they stand."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
". . . Heady stuff, no?"
Tumblr media
I'm also going to copy over my thoughts about a particular scene in Astonishing X-Men that you might find interesting, both in relation to your earlier question about body language, and about Hank and Xavier's dream. I originally posted this analysis on Reddit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Something I really appreciate about this scene is that it highlights how different Hank and Scott are in their relationship with Xavier.
Perhaps because Scott grew up with an abusive parental figure in Jack Winters and Hank grew up with very loving parents, Scott was able to recognise Charles' toxic behaviour and break away from Xavier - it might also have had something to do with the fact that at least one of Charles' biggest fuck ups had to do with Scott's brother Gabriel? Hard to say. But Hank, who Charles very carefully isolated from his parents by mindwiping them for years of Hank's whole existence, never really managed to break free of him, and it shows here.
Hell, it arguably never went away, even into the Krakoan era - a more interesting version of X-Force would have really dived into the kind of fucked up dynamic they have, where Chuck keeps covering for Beast's moral transgressions for seemingly no reason, because in some respects, he's responsible for them. He gave him the power, he gave him no oversight, but even more pressingly, he wasn't there for him emotionally. He pulled him into this life and didn't prepare him for the toll it would take, how much it would ruin Beast by the time he gets to Krakoa. Beast needed someone to help him there, and no-one did, which is part of why he went on the skids, I think.
But anyway, Whedon does a lot of moments where Hank is present for scenes but doesn't speak, which is important for a character who's well known for not shutting the fuck up. This, the initial cure conversation, the whole conversation about Piotr - Hank clams up. He doesn't feel like he can talk about it. He's off in his own head, his thoughts are his own, he doesn't feel the need to share them.
And here, it's especially important, because this is a big moral violation that Charles has committed in their name. I know it may be hard to remember, but back in the day, Hank had a moral opinion that was worth something, so the fact that he doesn't say anything here speaks volumes about just how much he feels capable of calling out the Professor, i.e. not at all. He craves Xavier's validation, his approval, he feels a kinship with Chuck. So he doesn't criticise him like he should.
It's especially interesting given that this would continue through the Utopia era. Every time Scott distanced himself from Xavier, Hank was there to comfort Charles, and I feel like that's just something he feels like he has to do. He feels like the devoted brother to Scott's more radical, more willing to criticise brother, and if Bendis had any interest in Beast as a character, he would've played on that in All-New X-Men - the fact that Scott killed their toxic father figure, and Beast feels both free of an influence he didn't know was choking him, but outraged that Scott would break their 'family' like that.
I find Beast compelling because of his flaws, and this is an interesting moment when you take all of that into account. I don't even know if that was the intention of this scene, or if Whedon just wanted to give Scott the speech, but it's interesting.
I definitely feel as though Hank agrees with Scott in the scene, for the record, but doesn't feel able to express it. Is that better or worse? Hard to say. The way that Cassaday draws him as he tells the other X-Men that their ride is here, it communicates shame and disappointment - but not just in Xavier. He's ashamed of his fear. He's disappointed in himself, that he didn't feel capable of speaking up.
And the reason that has real weight is because of his original X-Man status - I don't feel inclined to judge Kitty here despite the fact that she's silent as well, because it's a different dynamic. I don't really expect her to, you know? But Hank, I do, and I think he expects that of himself.
I doubt that Scott or the rest of the team judges Hank for staying silent, either - it's not as if he was complicit in Danger's abuse, after all - especially since it doesn't come up in the conversations Hank and Scott have after this. But Hank, I feel, would judge himself.
I also wonder if this might have played into why Hank got so much more vocal and active in opposing Scott's actions on Utopia - because he felt ashamed by his passivity here, and felt obligated not to let that tendency to repeat. But also, on some level, because he felt more like a peer to Scott, and less like a child, compared to Xavier.
In those instances, Hank is often morally correct, but, in some respects, naive and unhelpful, and he recuses himself from making what we might perceive to be the correct decision because of his ethics. I feel that there's a tendency to call him a coward or obstinate because of that - but is it really cowardly to make a moral stand? And, especially given what Hank would do as time went on, would we not have rather he kept making those moral stands, rather than desperately trying anything he thought would work?
I genuinely don't think he opposed Scott because he didn't like him or didn't love him, because I feel like he very clearly did, but because he felt it was the right thing to do for the both of them. In Hank's mind, he's fighting for the X-Men's soul, for Scott's - for his own. Scott, meanwhile, feels like it's all worth it so long as mutantkind makes it through. They're both right. They're both wrong. That's what makes it a worthwhile conflict.

PROMPTS FROM TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN *  assorted dialogue from the 2009 film
i rise... you fall.
hey, will you look at me please?
so much negativity... who wants to live a life filled with hate?
you picked the wrong planet.
i will tear you apart!
can you imagine that?
i've got no time to talk, i'm on a mission!
who's winning?
are you scared?
i'm not gonna hurt you.
i love you.
don't tempt me.
what is the meaning of this?
a lot of people died.
i changed sides.
i know where to find them!
stay still or you'll die!
listen to me! i want you to run!
i have issues of my own.
what do you want?
i know you're freaking out. don't freak out.
just hear me out, okay?
that's a good question.
looks like we're right in the middle of it.
oh look who came sashaying back.
do you have any idea what it's like to slowly fall apart and die?
it's not the last time i'm gonna see you.
i never did a thing worth doing until now.
they're gonna kill us all anyway!
what if we leave, and you're wrong?
i know someone who can help.
freedom is your right.
what are you doing here?
no time to explain!
just come over here and take it. don't harm them.
you'll never stop at one.
we're old friends.
did he say goodbye?
you did your job. it's over with.
i can't do that with you.
you gonna talk now?
maybe we can help each other. you know things i don't know, i know things you don't know.
hey, behave!
if they had their way, they'd destroy the whole universe.
if you hate me, i understand. i messed up. i'm sorry.
you are the person i care for most in my life, and if there is anything you need, i won't be far away.
there's a car on the porch!
i'm sorry, what were you saying?
you remember me, don't you?
well that wasn't so bad.
what are you doing here, you little freak?
i'll take you all on.
i messed that up. i'm okay.
he sacrificed himself to save me.
just stay right there, okay?
i'll do what you say, all right? just don't hurt them.
sometimes cowards do survive.
i could do this all day.
i'm not going anywhere, all right?
i'm not taking you with me.
whoa, somebody shit the bed this morning.
thank you for saving my life.
hey, i think we're in vegas!
he left me here to rust.
that went well.
i want to be normal.
when did you tell us? you didn't tell us anything!
if you make that request, we will honor it.
it's a choice. it's an intensely personal decision.
this isn't over.
i'm in the car with you. you're not alone.
oh, you have much to learn.
how is that possible?
show yourselves, or suffer my infinite wrath!
is he alive?
where is the boy?
what are you talking about?
it's time for the world to know about our presence.
i'm gonna wait outside.
look, i am slowly losing my mind, okay?
he's here. i smell him.
you're trained to shoot, not to talk.
so disappointing...
is that the best you've got?
when you go, he goes.
this isn't my war.
any last words?
look at this place! i feel smarter already!
you don't need me.
thank you for believing in me.
i am a wanted fugitive.
stop saying that!
do not tell my mother.
i don't think he's gonna hurt us.
i am where i'm supposed to be.
is that the best you can do?
you've got to have a bigger purpose than just me.
sounds to me like something's coming.
if you can't read it, we gotta find somebody who can.
i had a meltdown in the middle of my class.
will you leave peacefully?
what you are about to see is top secret.
fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing.
hey, that freaking hurt!
you won't give me a day, huh?
i tell you, this guy did not age well.
that did not sound good.
okay, so how do we stop him?

Fluffy February 2024 Master List
Very slightly delayed master list for @fluffyfebruary of 2024, with links to the original tumblr posts and their AO3 files.
Day 1: Snowbounding (Snow)
The average snowfall per year for southern New Jersey is around ten to fifteen inches. Getting twenty inches overnight leading to an unexpected snow day is bound to raise a few eyebrows.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 2: From The Door, Where We Began (Eavesdrop)
Sam had assured his guests that putting his son to bed wouldn't take long... but then Jimmy caught the sound of an old familiar favorite book being read, and Cas followed.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 3: Customer Disservice (Entertain)
Working in a faerie-owned and operated cafe definitely had some benefits, moreso than any other job Cas had previously had.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 4: Someone Who Will Always Know (Learn)
There once was a boy named John Constantine Novak. That boy no longer exists, as he became twins.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 5: Family Traditions, Part Two (Planet)
May was usually pretty busy for a cafe, but Sam always closed shop for Jack's birthday. This year, with two new employees under his domain banner, would be no exception.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 6: Won't You Please Respond (Fire)
Working the register at a cafe is somewhat outside of John Castiel Novak's comfort zone, but he and Jimmy have a debt to repay and it's his turn. The dragon volunteer firefighter who comes in is a welcome if oddly friendly surprise.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 7: You Don't Need A Nightingale (Recovery)
In the aftermath of the alicorn invasion, Sam is determined to get back to work as soon as possible despite his injury. This does not make his boyfriends feel better about him getting hurt in the first place.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 8: We Can Be Your Sword And Shield (Smile)
The aftermath of a traumatic event is often difficult for everyone involved. Routines can help... most of the time.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 9: What Is More Infinite Than The Universe (Storm)
Some businesses shut down when the weather turns bad. Others tend to get an uptick in activity. Some good... some not.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 10: Knit The Raveled Sleeve (Care)
Convalescence sometimes leads to picking up new hobbies. In fulfilling a recpriocal promise to his cousin, Sam picks up a hobby that leads to commissioning his cousin's help in making a very special gift for his boyfriends.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 11: Where Many Paths And Errands Meet (Quest)
John Castiel and James Constantine Novak were twins. This was not always the case, and this point of contention caused some resentment and ill-feeling on the part of their less supportive family members. When their least supportive uncle drunkenly suggested finding a faerie to turn them back into one boy so they'd only be half the disappointment, Cas and Jimmy decided that, for their own safety and continued survival, they needed to find a faerie first. This was easier said than done.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 12: Pull Me Like A Ripcord (Discipline)
Jack was usually such an energetic child that it was a bit disconcerting at first to see him be so still and controlled.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 13: Not New, But New To Us (Splurge)
A faerie bargain to ensure no one remembered that John Castiel and James Constantine Novak hadn't actually been born twins in exchange for a week of service. At the end of the week, they were presented with an offer of permanent employment and the chance to move into their own home far away from the family that barely counted as such. Now Cas and Jimmy just needed to sort out certain details of living on their own, like buying actual groceries and even furniture.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 14: You Labeled Me, I'll Label You (Free Space)
Just because Sam understands why Dean completely overreacted to his getting hurt in the alicorn attack, that doesn't mean his older brother will be forgiven until he actually apologizes to Cas and Jimmy. His mother and younger brother agree.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 14: Bonus Art (Free Space)
Tumblr | AO3
Day 15: A Bit Of A Fixer-Upper (Craft)
Charlie Bradbury was a fixer, the kind of person who stuck it out in bad situations with needy people and tried to make things better. It wasn't much surprise that she would end up working for a half-faerie cafe owner who was exactly the same.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 16: Family Traditions, Part One (Spontaneous)
Every year, Lighthouse CommodiTeas would close for the whole day of May 18th so that Sam could spend the entire day with Jack on his son's birthday. This year, Jack wants to invite Cas and Jimmy to join them.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 17: Untangling The Heart (Pleasure)
Routines took time to develop, whether by choice or by accident, but they always had one point where it began.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 18: The Best Medicine (Pain)
The property where Sam meant to establish Lighthouse CommodiTeas had come with a fully stocked kitchen. It hadn't mattered at the time since Sam couldn't make food to serve without risking cursing his human customers. So once he hired a full time baker, it mattered a bit more... as did the accidental hazards left behind.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 19: When In Need (Shadow)
Since the Magical Revelation, strange things tended to happen a lot more often and openly, and it was usually best to check with a magical before deciding if something was cause for alarm or just another Thursday. And then Jack came home from school with two shadows.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 20: In Sickness (Partners)
Living in a magically integrated community had its perks. Unfortunately, immunity from illness was not one of them. Luckily, Cas's half-faerie boyfriend is willing to come stay with him and Jimmy to help take care of him, which leads to a few unexpected revelations about Sam... like the fact that he technically has his own magical twin.

Day 21: One Size Fits, Some Exclusions Apply (Reward)
Thanks to the efforts of Nox and Sam, Matthew Pike has been rescued and relocated to Avalon and a new foster mom who has some concerns. Cas does his best to be reassuring.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 22: For Better Or Worse (Sacrifice)
The quest for immortality was supposed to be long and arduous, full of peril and challenge before one sacrificed their mortality to live forever. At least... that was what they'd been told.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 23: Until The Break Of Dawn (Dance)
Summer break in Avalon meant tourist season, and there was plenty to draw them in. Some things, however, were as much for the locals as the tourists, and Midsummer Night was one of them.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 24: History Never Repeats (Apology)
Ceridmael had perfectly valid reasons for going off on his brother's little human pets after they nearly got him killed in an alicorn attack. He may have been lacking all of the facts when he did, though.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 25: Under The Light Of A Thousand Stars (Kiss)
Deciding that they were definitely dating now was the easy part. Sorting out what that would look like with their respective boundaries, comfort levels, and cultural differences was an ongoing process.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 26: Luck And Marriage Are What You Make Of Them (Rain)
A V-shaped polyamorous wedding was bound to have some quirks and peculiarities to it. This is even more true when two of the three are magically created twins and their soon-to-be husband is a prince of one Realm and a king of another. They've got this, though-- not even rain can slow them down.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 27: When The Time Is Right (Protect)
Sam got hurt protecting Cas and Jimmy from alicorns. Alicorns are drawn to virgins. Dean blames Cas and Jimmy for Sam getting hurt. Therefore, Cas believes that to protect Sam from getting hurt because of them again, he and Jimmy need to no longer be virgins. Things do not go as planned.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 28: In Health (Shy)
Meeting your boyfriend's magical twin who shares his body can be a tricky situation, especially when that twin is king of a hell dimension. It goes better than expected, and gives Sam the confidence to share another secret with his lovers.
Tumblr | AO3
Day 29: Family Traditions, Part Three
Cas and Jimmy were surprised but honored to be invited along on Jack's birthday trip to the planetarium with his dad. As it turned out, there was a lot more planned for this trip than just daytime stargazing, an unexpected return of trust, and another sort of invitation.

Heyo folks! So here's a list of this for another fic I am going to workon. I am writing here the rules so I don't forget and I would love to see people give me their opinions on what I can add! This time it IS a crossover series with Cuthulhu Mythos! (Mostly lovecraft lore and some other writer's take on it sprinkled in. No Other gods vs Great Old Ones nonsense though that was a stupid adition to Mythos I will DIE on this hill)
Our skele bois and everyone really are going to learn the HARD way there are being infinitely scarier and powerful than measely star parasites or amalgamation of emotions :D
This came after a delightful conversarion with a friend in space battle. So some heads ups;
Other gods or Outer Gods as people know them are the undisputed strongest things for what I hope obvious reasons. Put an unshattered C'tan or a chaos god in front of Nyarlathotep and they'll beg for their life
Azathoth DID NOT create 40k or any universe. Its a fan theory. It was Yog-Sothoth ;)
The races such as Elder Things and Great Race of Yith are among the oldest and most advanced (they are basically the Xeelee's since thats what they are meant to be in OG mythos Lovecraft was just shit at math and science) creatures in the verse. Remember how Mep'het'Ran bitched to the Necrontyr about how they also fought with the cruel old ones and lost and turned into celestial fart gases...well he didn't TECHNICALLY lie.
It just wasn't the 'Old Ones' Necrontyr were thinking XD (for real though in the ONLY alliance these two races ever forged they kicked the shit out of C'tan and destroyed their OG bodies) for these races, species in 40k galaxy might as well be monkeyd hitting each other with sticks. The difference between them are that great.
That war happened not 200 million year into the big bang btw. Yeah...when the first stars were babies. Elder Things and Yith are that old...they might be that old in OG mythos too now that I think about it 🤔
Remember Nihilakh Yyth seer? Yeah that thing is another unfortunate race Yith used as bodies and left long before necrons ever came...unfortunately the inhabitation caused the race to develop clairvoyance. And we all know what happened to the poor bastards.
The Elder things came to earth was basically an amish community got tired of ultra advanced tech XD they are the reason earth has life. They came waayyy before the billion year mark Lovecraft gives. First one celled organisms on earth appeard around 3.7 billion years ago. Yeah.
Randolph Carter is/was a friend of Big E's and still kicking in 40k with his silver key. Fully living in dreamlands with his friends and boy-ahem eternal headache Nyarlathotep though. He and Trazyn will become GOOD friends...maybe Orikan too. Tech wizardry isn't just belong to necrons after all.
Magic other than warp exists and it is both intransically bound with tech and seperate enough. Mostly safe too if you manage to keep your head while learning.
Assume all weird creatures in mythos exist.
Deep Ones have their own planet and allied with Big E around 2020s. They have full on STCs under their planet and still can build and understand DAOT tech, they are just smart enough to hide it really well. And since all of them are immortal most of the ones on the planet (pure and hybrids both) are over 30.000 years old. And remember EVERYTHING. Rest of the Imperium thinks they are filfhy mutants to be avoided. Deep Ones and hybrids mostly bleakly amused seeing most were alive in 1920s America how humanity seems to abandon one type of racism then immediatly embracing another.
Lost 2 Primarchs taken a worship of the Other Gods...this is magnetitudes more dire than chaos worship.
Orikan, Trazyn and Phillias will meet an interesting human who knows more than she ever should...if they are nice to her she might even draw them when they were necrontyr. She A LOT to say about their relationship during flesh times...revelations might or might not cause eternal sense to loss , pain and horror to what was lost...and maybe hope. 🤷♀️ (yes during Trazyn's bubble confinement)
Except Nyarlathotep to pop on Song of Oblivion and taunt Szerakh. Randoph migh or might not put the fear of actual gods in Szeras too
Anrakyr and Zulthanekh (don't ask me how they will ever meet I am just taken by the idea of their friendship because of ghostinthegalleries) will get a history lesson of the galaxy from Nyarlathotep.
Shoggoths are allies of humanity. As they lived only the really intelligent and sentient ones survived and after their ACTUAL discovery humanity (DAOT) have been not only nice to them but give them human rights Elder Thing colony never thought of. Surviving ones are fiercely loyal to humanity but few know their existance.... for obvious reasons. They are a hard counter for tyranids and help preserve Big E.
Big E was aware of other gods and there was no stopping them. Thankfully the only one who was invested into the galaxy was Nyarlathotep and Big E just pointed out sitting back and watching the inevitable clusterfucks all races cause would be infinitely more entertaining. (Randoph also threathened Nyarlathotep with sleeping on couch in Ilek-Vad XD)
...AND thats it. Thats all I got for now. I would love to see your suggestions Lovecraft and 40k lovers!

if you're answering questions about WIPs I read the summary for your *escape* one and holyshit that sounds good. "The ghost zone haunts Danny right back" is such a baller concept. It's listed as Horror and I'm not much for that genre but I'm hella intrigued and I'd love to hear more. (Especially like. How do the aliens know about halfas?)
Fun fact about this story, the title is originally meant to be escape with the last e flipped upside down but it looked funky on the Tumblr post, so it's only that way for my WIP doc XD
I'll admit I'm not super into horror either, but if you've read one of my current WIPs called bones and all, it's a little similar in that regards that it has horror elements and for escape I'm definitely trying for the soft horror. But it's mainly a psychological thriller on Danny's side of things.
There is a lot of worldbuilding to this fic, which is part of the reason why it remains as an unreleased WIP and I haven't uploaded the first chapter yet. But something that I strongly headcanon, and I try to make a point of when I can, is that humans are not the only ghosts that exist. You'll know this, you were very passionate in replying to my newest one-shot Lament for the Soul. But humans are not the only ghosts, and that's why I try to stray away from calling Danny's civilian form "human" because even as a ghost he's still human he's just dead- but enough about that.
For dpxdc crossover fics, we tend to include headcanons/fanon that there are natural portals that appear on Earth. This headcanon, coupled with the idea that there have been previous, natural halfas in the world, led me to thinking that there could have been other halfas that were not human. So there could have been Kryptonian halfas or Martian halfas, as just a few examples. Obviously their stories have either been lost to time, they were never known to have existed, or they were mistaken as something else. (Which would be understandable, in the case of Martians since ghosts have a very similar skill set, but I digress.)
This then led me into thinking that, hey, if other halfas existed, then it's entirely possible that other worlds and species could have known about them and made it a cultural phenomenon or gave it religious significance.
In the case of escape, the alien species mentioned in this summary has a very deep connection to their deceased ancestors. The biological ecosystem of their planet is closely tied to the Infinite Realms, so when the planet starts failing, and crops don't grow, and the weather turns turbulent, they begin to suspect that something is wrong in the Infinite Realms. They hold seances to their ancestors and ask them for advice on what needs to be done, and their ancestors tell them of the only living halfa (aka Danny) who could help them. They say he comes from a planet called Earth, and thus, the aliens go there looking for his help.
The "Ghost Zone haunts Danny right back" is essentially Danny dealing with the problems within the Infinite Realms that has been affecting this alien species. Although, of course, he has no idea that these two things are connected. This AU specifically also does lean into my beloved medium!Danny headcanons, so Danny has vision/nightmares and other things I'll save for later.
This story has a lot of worldbuilding, like I said. So... Hopefully it will eventually see the light of day. XD

Hello!! I recently found your Celestial Rottmnt AU and I wanna say I think it's really cool!
This isn't really a question, more like I wanted to share some thoughts I had while looking through your AU.
I'm sorry if this isn't the type of asks that you like receiving. Feel free to delete it should you see fit.
Also...I'm sorry my ask/submission(?) is angsty
I just realized I don't remember if you've already had an ask/made a post about this so if this looks familiar, you can delete this.
Going through your AU while thinking of the Rottmnt movie at the same time made my brain make connections that probably weren't really there lmao
If we follow the (I think) popular theory that Raph is the first brother to go, Raph being specifically the Earth's sun would reaffrim this. All stars die eventually, and our sun is already on its own time limit. Although it will still be a while, like a long while, compared to the three Celestial brothers, the sun, specifically our Milky Way's sun, would be the first thing to go.
Continuing this line of thought, if the Earth's sun goes boom, the planets closest to the Sun (Mercury, Venus, and Earth) would probably be destroyed along with it. Donnie being more the Earth's moon than other moons would make him the second to go.
If Donnie was the Moon, any moon in general, I don't believe Moon!Donnie would go away so easily. However, since Moon!Donnie is more Earth's moon, when the sun explodes, the subsequent blast and destruction would also take Earth's moon along with it, being so close to the planet and all.
That leaves us with the two brothers we see in the Bad Future: Mikey and Leo. Now comets can live long, but they do eventually "expire". I think it's cool (well no it's painful but-) how Mikey is a comet because I read that a comet vaporizes for it to "die".
Comets are drawn to the sun's gravitational force and form orbits around it like planets do. However, if they get too close to the sun, being usually made of ice and other volatile compounds, comets would vaporize into gas due to the heat. Mikey would be very drawn to his mystic powers, which from what I'm understanding is mainly infinite chains and something with fire (based on his kusari-fundo being on fire when he uses it). In the movie, we see that Mikey disintigrates because he uses too much of his mystic power. The very thing he is drawn to is the one that guides him to his end, like a comet's relationship to the sun.
Lastly Leo. In the Rottmnt series, thanks to the movie, Leo is made out to be the "last survivor" of the family. That would connect well to your Celestial AU when Leo is basically any and all of the stars. Even when a star does die, a new one would be born, sometimes from the dying star itself. So as long as the universe and space itself doesn't die out, stars will always exist. Our galaxy, the Milky Way, might die out, but we don't know if other universes exist out there that will long surpass our own. Theoretically, for as long as the universe "breathes", the stars will "breathe" along with it.
I just think it's really really cool that the Celestial bodies the brothers represent parallel (in theory) the boys' fate as shown in the movie.
I don't know if you intended to have this connection when you first thought of this AU, and I'm sorry if this ask makes you uncomfortable. Again, feel free to delete it if you want to.
Also I'm sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes or if I sound disrespectful. Although I'm more comfortable with English when I use the Internet, it still technically isn't my first language so I'm so sorry.
Yup yup, we've talked a lot (and I mean a LOT, yall sure do love angst XD) abt who dies first and who lives the longest in the celestial au, and I think you're completely right. I don't think it's ever been brought up before, but how long each boy is there for does actually parallel the movie's bad future — great eye you got there!

sorry i'm having a bad day anyway so now you get to watch me get pissed off about the infinitely less important thing because it's easier to talk about: i fucking HATE shit like that last post. i don't care. nobody cares. and if you DO care i am, as sincerely and genuinely as i can, asking you to get the fuck over yourself. this stupid social media attitude of "you didn't reblog it from me :(" "you missed my post i tagged you in do you hate me :(" made my anxiety a million times worse for YEARS and it's still one of the lingering problem areas. i HAVE to catch up with my dashboard every day because i used to have friends who ACTUALLY SENT ME MESSAGES ASKING IF I HATED THEM because i didn't see a post they tagged me in.
this is like. as unhinged as "you didn't laugh at the joke i made on the other side of a crowded room, do you hate me?" if this is a thing your anxiety does to you i am BEGGING YOU to fight it and recover from it. this is deranged fucking behavior. this is exactly how you fulfill the "everyone always leaves" anxiety prophecy—it's not because people hated your post, it's because people hated how you're always accusing them of hating YOU.
and i know, i KNOW how hard it is when anxiety is telling you everything that ever happens is proof that you're unlovable, but sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, as someone who was PSYCHOLOGICALLY HARMED by too many people giving in to their sickness and treating me like the worst person on the planet because of it, you NEED to get the fuck over it. you NEED to work on this and get help, or you WILL keep losing friends. NOT BECAUSE THEY DON'T LOVE YOU. but because when you let anxiety make you constantly ask people if they secretly or unspokenly hate you, what you're DOING is TELLING THEM you think nothing they ACTUALLY SAY OR DO for you is real, and that you believe it's ALL FAKE and they HATE YOU. it DOES NOT MATTER if you don't mean it this way, that's WHAT YOU'RE DOING. and nothing hurts more than giving your heart to a friend just to be told your words and actions will NEVER be enough, they'll ALWAYS assume you secretly want to hate them and ruin their life. THIS is what drives people away. you NEED to fight the urge to succumb to this. you NEED to heal this.
look. i have debilitating anxiety too, and it used to be this bad. i know where you're at. you're sick. it's not your FAULT you're sick. but that DOES NOT MEAN we can just GIVE UP and let our sickness run rampant and control our lives. you will hurt people you love this way. being sick means accepting it's not your fault and accepting that you have to fight through it and try to heal anyway. we can't just let it ruin our lives or expect others to 100% forgive everything we do because of it, because the thing is, our sickness HURTS OTHERS TOO. it makes US hurt them, and then tells us IT didn't make us hurt them, but THEY hurt US. most people cannot handle "your symptoms make you believe i am the bad guy" forever, particularly when you're leaning INTO those symptoms instead of fighting against them. they will leave. and it will NOT be for the reasons anxiety told you it was.
and listen, despite all this, despite this cruel and vicious cycle, you DESERVE FRIENDS. you DESERVE to feel safe in your relationships. but there is not a human person on this planet who can just GIVE that to you. when anxiety is corrupting your own mind this badly, the way out is to FIGHT IT. you have to HEAL, so that anxiety can't keep RUINING YOUR LIFE. you are not unlovable. most of those people who left you STILL LOVE YOU. but you cannot ask someone to love you while constantly telling them you don't believe them forever. they will leave to protect THEMSELVES. they will leave because you've let your anxiety hurt them too.
i still cannot fucking handle missing posts. i cannot handle being friends with people who TELL ME i missed their post. i'm trying to heal from this too, but i need you to understand that this is why i would've left. you let your anxiety hurt others long enough, and they get sick too. we have to fight for ourselves and each other. we deserve love and safety, and anxiety seeks to deny us that. it will, if we don't fight for it.

hi everyone check out these funny shirts
As an Asian-Australian, one of the delights of my youth was being surrounded by Asian products with bad English on them. Personally I think it's fine to have a giggle at them as long as you don't call it "engrish" and you understand that Westerners are not immune to being similarly bad at other languages. People simply think "hey that other language looks cool, I'm gonna put it on a shirt" and they don't let not knowing a single word of that language stop them. I get really nostalgic whenever I see Asian products with bad English specifically, and I wanted to share a haul with you today, in order of most coherent to most absolutely bananas. I would encourage you to read the image descriptions.
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A white t-shirt emblazoned with photos of broccoli and black text outlining the nutritional value of broccoli per 100g (3.5 oz). Text litters the design reading "CALORIE 36.0" and "CABBAGE FAMILY". The masterpiece is headed by the word "Broccoli". To the side of this shirt is another, smaller shirt, also white. The design of this shirt is much simpler, with just the word "Broccoli" in green, and a small picture of broccoli. /.End ID]
Specimen 1: Broccoli shirt. This fits into the popular category of fruit, vegetable, and drink-based attire. Common examples of this tend more towards strawberry, milk, avocado, citrus, and chocolate, though, so the broccoli is distinctly more left-field than the more favoured carrot or radish, typically considered cuter vegetables. I appreciate this diversity and the funducational approach, as well as the fact that there is a smaller, matching shirt, as if for a child or especially large dog. I like how the smaller shirt is tastefully simpler but still includes both a written and pictorial depiction of broccoli, so you get a clear idea of what the shirt's deal is. @redgoldblue when you're finally ready to let me dress you up like a smaller version of me and carry you around town telling people that I'm a vampire and you're a porcelain doll haunted by my human ghost, I think we should start here. Rating this a 6/10.
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A black t-shirt cropped to a v-shape, with matching black arm bands/arm warmers. This shirt has a band of distorted pink texture placed exactly where the tits would be, were the wearer a tit owner. Over this texture is the picture of a tabby kitten with a blue ribbon around its neck and a pink rose tucked into said ribbon. The kitten is smiling a Mona Lisa smile and standing on some disembodied piano keys. The words "Here on earth, Joy iy youry" are written in warped pink comic sans. There is something in the upper right corner in tiny pink writing, which reads in part "joy/delight" and then devolves into inscrutable text. /.End ID]
Specimen 2: Sad girl kitten shirt with matching emo arm warmers. Obviously we've all felt when here on earth joy iy youry. Universal human experience. Love the tit highlighter. Shirt looks like the someone communed with Beezlebub to design it. 8/10
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A grey t-shirt, slightly over-sized/loose fit. Design looks very American; it has a cartoon planet with a ring around it. Black text arching above the planet reads "INTERNATIONAL" and over the planet green block text continues "Pretty Girls Club". Underneath the planet is more black text reading "FOUNDED BY BINCH CITY". On one side of the shirt there's a slit that cuts up to approx just below the tiddy zone, or at least to the midriff. At the top of this slit are two clothing tags with mostly unreadable text on them, but one reads in all-caps "CHOOSE HAPY". /.End ID]
Specimen 3: Shirt for pretty girls who choose hapy. "Binch city" might say "beach city" but I'm choosing to believe that it says "binch", as "binch" is infinitely funnier. Slit is a wildly unexpected choice but doesn't do enough to alleviate the overall boringness. 4/10.
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A blue shirt with one mismatched sleeve in slightly darker blue. Has two large starry cartoon eyes and blushed cheeks hovering, disembodied, on the lower right side, below which is a horizontal cut in the cloth that gapes open like a mouth. Dangling from the hem of the shirt below this face are two long strips of fabric with little chicken feet. The main body of the shirt has a speech bubble reading in large white text "Can you tie a bow for me?". /.End ID]
Specimen 4: Really can't get into this one, lads. Hopefully you too have the dreadful moment of realisation that "Can you tie a bow for me?" means that the cartoon face is inviting you to use its chicken legs to tie a bow through its open maw to hold its mouth wider open in a parody of a grin. This isn't speculation by the way, it's demonstrated in accompanying pictures. 10/10 for "oooh absolutely not."
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A white t-shirt totally blank but for the photorealistic picture of a fat ginger cat taped to it with a thick strip of silver duct tape. Cat doesn't look mad about the arrangement. /.End ID]
Specimen 5: This Guy. 21/10, absolute mad lad.
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A white t-shirt with some food and drink on the centre, drawn in a sketchy coloured art style. There is a small bowl of apples, and a bottle of milk labelled "milk". There is also a teapot made to look like a fridge, with its door slightly ajar and an even tinier bowl of fruit and a tinier carton of milk sitting on top. Next to this is a plate of either cheese or butter, with a breadknife lying on top and some remnants of unidentifiable food to the side. Words under this plate read "more parsley". There is no parsley on the plate. There are also larger words reading "Good enough to eat BUT DON'T!" with an arrow pointing towards the plate of cheese butter. /.End ID]
Specimen 6: Good enough to eat!!! BUT DON'T! I like that the milk is labelled "milk" so you know what it is. The teapot fridge situation raises more questions than it answers. I feel that the "more parsley" note gives a sense of philosophic allegory to the whole thing. There's no parsley on the plate, but is that why more parsley is needed? Can you ask for more when you have nothing, or do you simply ask for parsley? This design also reminds me of a lot of Korean stickers I've used. 10/10, classic.
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A photo of a person wearing a shirt. The shirt is black and oversized, with a large pink toy rabbit dominating the centre of the design. Over this rabbit are all caps in pink and white, reading "MXCHN SAEAY". Beneath the rabbit in smaller white all caps are the words "JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE INVITED' DOESN'T MEAN YOU" then below that also in white all caps the words "FROM THE MIND' OF JORDAN PEELE". /.End ID]
Specimen 7: FROM THE MIND' OF JORDAN PEELE. Now we enter the ever popular gibberish category, crossing over slightly with the category of "selecting random things from Western culture to reference nonsensically", which happen to be two of my favourite categories. I once saw a collection of shirts with the disembodied heads of two of the kids from Stranger Things and text reading "EMILY + ME <3". I don't know enough about Jordan Peele's films to be sure that this isn't actually a coherent reference, but I know enough about Asian shirts to say with some confidence that it probably isn't one. Absolute delight, pleasure to have you here, 11/10.
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A cream-coloured ringer t-shirt with navy blue edging at the sleeves and collar. It has a navy blue picture that at first glance looks like a cute cartoony drawing of two people at either a shop counter or having dinner. On closer inspection the picture doesn't actually make sense. There are two people sitting at a table with their backs turned to the viewer, their faces turned to talk to each other. But also the table seems to be two school desks, and at the same time be inside a coffee shop counter. The counter has what looks like a pitcher and coffee press, and two short stools in front of it. The table/desk situation merges into the top of the counter. There is also a light overhead and something that looks like an inkblot picture floating above the coffee press. Crowning this conglomeration of visual gibberish are letters spaced together like made-up words, arching over the whole drawing. These letters/words are "DNHELIE COST" then "1997", followed by "ENJOG DOPS COSRN SN". More words are on the front of the counter, "ene Lirenocs [unreadable] ENJOG Meanris". Somehow, next to all that are perfectly legible words saying "let's go!". /.End ID]
Specimen 8: HELLO? Truly in the total gibberish category now. Prime specimen of its genre. I took a psychic damage hit trying to describe the image. 9/10, point deducted because the design is clearly made up of stolen images merged together.
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A white t-shirt with actually coherent design and English. Artwork of an cranky black cat over striped colours with vector art of a syringe above. Layered above and below the main image are the words "I GOT VACCINATED BUT I STILL WANT SOME OF YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM ME". /.End ID]
Specimen 9: Speaking of obviously stolen artwork, this is to a Westerner a totally normal shirt but I cannot describe to you how jarring it was to see this amongst my cutesy frog overalls and FROM THE MIND' OF JORDAN PEELE streetwear. I've tried to recreate the experience by saving this one until towards the end but I fear that unless as a child you also went to Morning Glory semi-religiously to look at journals with "lovely day girl" and bootlegged Disney princess chibis plastered all over them, you simply will not be able to experience the same emotion via the empty illusion of forced immersion. 2/10, clearly stolen, design is too coherent, this is an imposter in my lands.
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A white cropped t-shirt printed with pink and blue pastel lettering. Lettering reads "Friendly Reminder, not being racist is not enough". There are pink hearts between the words "is not enough". Below this is a text bubble outlined in pink, which contains smaller black text that reads "Nothing will change unless we recognize and actively work against our own internalized biases, unless we are willing to risk our comfort for the sake of others". /.End ID]
Specimen 10: The only thing more jarring than the vaccinated cat shirt is this, also an obviously stolen design, but worse. This is the inverse of an imposter in my lands. I've seen artwork like this since 2011 on a thousand passive aggressive tumblrina blogs. Why is the DNI page of a white 23-year-old who does nothing but start fights over Steven Universe and have "soft baby pet" in their bio on a t-shirt sold alongside DNHELIE COST 1997. When I look at this I experience two emotions. The first emotion is a complicated inner conflict between knowing I agree with the basic principle of the artwork and not being able to separate it from some of the most unbearable people I've ever crossed paths with. The second emotion is this:
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A screenshot of beloved fictional character Mike Wazowski standing in front of a door and screaming at his best friend, Monsters Inc employee and lauded foster parent James P. Sullivan, known to friends as Sulley. Foster child Boo, commonly referred to by Mike Wazowski as "that thing", stands in monster cosplay to Sulley's left. /.End ID]
Okay, I've saved the best for last.
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A grey acid-wash t-shirt with a picture of a black skeleton floating with its arm spread out, glowing infra-red. Above its upturned hands are hovering a black star and a globe respectively, also both glowing. There are lightning strikes around the skeleton and poor definition red roses at its feet. Large hippy font words above the skeleton read in all-caps: "MENTAL ILLNESS". Below the skeleton similar all-caps read "SOCIAL MEDIA MAKE YOU BE A DIFFERENT PERSON". /.End ID]
Specimen 11: I believe that if you're a regular tumblr user you fall into one of 6 categories:
you are the kind of person who likes tea and libraries
you think this shirt is somehow problematic
there is some part of you that wants this shirt
you are the kind of person who likes tea and libraries and there is also some part of you that wants this shirt
you think this shirt is somehow problematic but there is some part of you that wants this shirt anyway
a complicated sexy lil mixture of all of the above
Please if you reblog this post put in the tags which category you fall under, for science. Also rate this shirt.

Meta Knight, Marx; Magolor Origins
It all started when Nightmare and a few dozen other Nish were sent over to scout out what things were like in our galaxy and restart the invasion. Salesman guy is a Nish, though much younger than Nightmare. He's a real goofy guy; probably the only reason he was sent on the mission is because his father is in a powerful position and wanted to send that embarrassment to another galaxy to see if he can make something of himself. Nightmare sent some of his scientists to work on an experimental monster idea they had. They still had a limited understanding of how magic works, so they couldn't create magic using creatures from scratch in a lab, so they had to capture a magic user to alter. They went to moon Popopo to get one of its inhabitants, due to their high level magics. They tried once, and failed, so they got another one to try.
Some Nish: What happened to the subject? Salesman guy: Well, what I did, I thought their method of flight was dumb, so I did the guy a favor and gave him some cool wings. Also, get this, I made it so his eyes change color depending on his mood. Hilarious huh? Some Nish: BUT WHERE IS IT? Salesman guy: Oh, he escaped on a ship and I have no idea where he is now. Some Nish:… Salesman guy: By the way, could we get rid of our first subject? Her blank white eyes are seriously creeping me out. (That's Sabri. A character I got from a dream but I'm not sure what to do with her storywise. She is a shadowy black color and has geokinesis. She has goopy dark matter characteristics and can form herself into a big stone dragon.)
So they got a third one. A young purple spark ability named Markalam. With this one, they created something powerful.
They added the DNA of various other species. Unfortunately, as they were pulling the magical energy they needed from the infinite magic universe, they accidentally pulled in a piece of something. This something, in its panicked state, crossed over into the popopon's mind layer. This resulted in an insatiable hunger for things to attempt to fill in the rest of the something. Also immortality. He will regenerate if killed. The Nish got more than they could handle. They were unable to control it. After one of the Nish became it's first meal, it escaped.
Some Nish: This was a failure. We should have just stayed with Nightmare and with the original plan… Salesman guy: Yeah, don't you think we should get out of here before it finishes devouring the planet below and comes back for us? Some Nish: I guess. We should probably forget this ever happened and hope Nightmare doesn't do something horrible to us. Salesman guy: Speaking of the original plan, I have an idea that could make it a lot easier. Some Nish: What makes you think Nightmare will listen to you again?
He continues his rampage; the agony of the newly separated portion ripped from a higher being, before finally burning out and being taken down, sent drifting dormant through space.
By the time Meta Knight returned, many of his people are dead. His family is gone. He blames himself for not being there, even though there would have been nothing he could do about it. Heartbroken, he flees, and dedicates himself to fighting Nightmare's forces.
Marx floats around in space for a long time, eventually his remains crash land on a far away planet. He regenerates and regains his consciousness, with no memory, and reverted to a smaller form. He wanders a while, with no idea what to do. He was lonely. He found a creature called a michun. They become friends. The michun, named Magolor, had discovered a wormhole to an other dimensional corridor, that lead to a world known as Halcandra. He liked to explore the ruins. One day Magolor is badly injured while they were traversing the other dimension. It is unknown how exactly this next part happens. Perhaps a combination of the large amounts of high level magic in the area along with their friendship sparked a change. High emotion can affect magic strangely. If Marx weren't a regenerative immortal, the immense emotionally charged magic usage would have killed him. He becomes similar to Marx, with great power and immortality. Marx has somehow partially linked him to the magic dimension entity piece and himself. Unknown to them, the wormhole to Halcandra was becoming unstable. They become stranded on Halcandra. They lived and survived together. One day while exploring they find a strange hat. Marx puts it on his head and was surprised to hear a voice. It was a sentient hat created long ago. It liked to be back on someone's head, so they bring it along. They find a ship buried in the ruins. It awakens. It speaks to them with a hologram. It gradually teaches them the Halcandran language. The ship tells them it's name. A long time ago, it was known as The Lor.
The two set off in the ship, traveling through portals created by the ship. The two go on many adventures. This ship had a prototype of a true interdimensional travel device, which had been unavailable to the ancient Hal before. Magolor seeks to locate his home planet, but space is vast.

Joseph Brodsky's "Pilgrims" as a path to enlightenment
“For then my thoughts–from far where I abide– Intend a zealous pilgrimage to thee…” William Shakespeare
Past altars and stages, past temples and taverns, past classy graveyards, past street market’s jabber, past peace, and past woe, past Mecca and Rome, burned by the sun’s blue glow, the earth the pilgrims roam. They’re heavily injured and hunchbacked, they’re hungry and almost naked, their eyes are full of sunset, their hearts are full of daybreak. The deserts are singing behind them, sheet-lighting breaks out abruptly, up above the stars are igniting, and birds are screaming gruffly: that the world will remain the same, yes, indeed, the same, dazzling with snowy game, with fondness its unlikely name, the world will remain underhanded, the world will remain forever, perhaps it can be comprehended, it has no limits, however. Which means it will make no sense to believe in yourself or Lord. …And the things that remain are, hence, the illusion and the road. All sunsets remain in-service, all daybreaks are still in splendor. The soldier will muck earth’s surface. The poet will be its defender.
Count from one to ten.
Breathe in and out deeply.
Let this poem flow through you and feel how its lines resonate in your soul. This poem can fill your mind with thoughts and feelings, or it can be devastating, shattering your inner world and forcing you to build a new one with new principles and morals. Anyway, it can’t leave you indifferent.
My acquaintance with Brodsky's work began with this poem, which opened to me the wonderful world of poetry. And the first time I heard the lines of it was from my Dad. I was 11 years old and since then this poem has been imprinted in my heart forever. I can reproduce it from any word, from any sound, and Dad could always go on… and we read it together, one line at a time. Except that I haven't had a chance to read "Pilgrims" live to him for nine months now...
For me, this poem reflects more than just the difficulty of the journey the pilgrims take. Although at first it may seem that the first eight lines only describe the route of the wonderers, but from line nine we begin to feel the gravity of the obstacle they have been overcoming: 'They're heavily injured and hunchbacked, They're hungry and almost naked' - they go no matter what, because they see one goal in front of them and don't care about the difficulties. They go through them bravely and boldly.
The next lines are stunning in their depth and how beautifully, but also how accurately, the author has conveyed the meaning behind them: 'their eyes are full of sunset, their hearts are full of daybreak.' Every time I read this sentence out loud or to myself, incredible feelings flare up in me, contrasting with each other: one part of me is filled with motivation not to give up, even when there seems to be almost no hope (poor pilgrims endure incredible pain and suffocate from the difficulties that haunt them, although their minds tell them: this is the end, we can't go on. However their hearts and souls know that this is only the beginning, the beginning of something new in their lives, this journey and anguish will lead them to enlightenment and awareness of higher feelings, so there is no way to give up). The other part of me cannot understand how the author could have had such a profound understanding of the world at the age of 18, which is how old Brodsky was when he made his mark on history with this masterpiece.
From line 16 onwards it says that the birds, as a symbol of the beings that fly around the planet on their wings, already know that the world will never change. There will always be injustice and lies, pain and suffering. Even if your mind is clouded by the subtle illusion that everything is beautiful and perfect, in fact, it will not correspond to reality. But the beauty of life is that there are an infinite number of possibilities and developments in it, and we are free to choose any of them, guiding our destiny in a certain direction. Even if things get tough, we will always be able to find the meaning of life and continue fighting for it. You can romanticise your own life, endowing it with something magical. Isn't that amazing?
The last 4 lines were so imprinted in my soul that I even decided to make myself a T-shirt with this quote.
All sunsets remain in-service, all daybreaks are still in splendor. The soldier will muck earth’s surface. The poet will be its defender.
In my opinion, it captures the essence of what's going on in the world: sunsets and sunrises are a symbol of something unchangeable that happens every day without exception. And every day there will be someone with them who will do reckless things sometimes beyond comprehension. There will be people (soldiers) who, for different reasons (sometimes even justified), but still kills. And there will be someone who tries to bring this life to something high and beautiful, even if not in reality, but at least in words, giving an imaginary magic to this difficult life. And all together, it will create a balance. A balance called the world we live in, where everything continues to function, albeit sometimes not the way we want it to, but did anyone promise you that justice will be served one day and everything will be fine from then on? I advise you to think about it and not to have false expectations.
All in all, that's about how you can describe at least some of the feelings I have about this poem. And what have you realized? Please share with me, I'd be very interested to read your thoughts.
With Love, your Berrizze's World.

I often wonder when it's not just the meaning of existence, fuck life, I only wonder what is the point of soul ?
I don't want to just know that we Exist, I overwhelmingly have proved both of the digital data and in my constant experience of life and being sentient and existing that soul is real.
my biggest my biggest concern is wondering what in the fuck is the purpose of existence itself and why is it even exist ?
I want to know why anything exists ?
. . . . .
because despite my best guess how nothing should exist in reality and logic makes no fucking sense and how quantum mechanics ultimately breaks down reality harder than religion fucking can and what is anything.
Spirituality Try's To Give a Purpose of things to try to explain the purpose of things the quantum mechanics says everything is fucking meaningless.
and you can probably say God a billion fucking times but the end of God damn day God is just a developer of life.
He's, just a fucking Dev.
. . . . .
The Ultimate Thing is what is the point of a existence why does existence exist why do Souls exist where did we come from why are there so fucking many of Them ?
👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻
👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻
👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻
👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻
👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻
👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻
👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻
👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻
👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻
Despite, all these emojis there's basically unlimited Soul's ?
and that just makes existence that much more fucking mysterious ?
Every Ant 🐜 has a soul every bug has a soul every form as a soul every spider every fish has a soul everything in the ocean that's alive has a fucking soul it is said that the four Element's Have & are a Soul as well, every human being has a soul every cat every dog every land animal every alien has a fucking soul the planets have a fucking soul
There are Grandiose deities, deities are not like anything else in the entirety of the Multiverse they are their own Divine family quite literally their own fucking race and they are all super Souls
there are infinite dimensions infinite realities infinite timeline
AND, NONE OF IT MAKES ANY FUCKING SENSE ! ! !
There's, just all this fucking shit & This is Reality ! ??
What the fuck is anything why is anything I don't want to hear the profane explanation from science, I want the truth !
@ any1 & Everyone !
I don't know what the point or purpose if anything is I don't know if life has a purpose or a point, I don't fucking know, and it's clearly a fucking God but at the same fucking time we can't use God to explain fucking everything when there is other when there's so many other deities and existence.
and have you ever heard the term the mother of God what about the father of God ?
. . . . . . .
I'm not trying to say anything blasphemous about him, I'm just quoting those two things in existence.
and ultimately I just see all this fucking shit and I'm just so beyond overwhelmed it's everything it's everything and everything the Infinity of it all and I can't find any of it holy or any of his spiritual and I feel like a bad person for that.
obviously I can understand things in my sacred spiritual point but the same time I still can't stop thinking about this linear fucking timeline how we have limited time and all this hard work people fucking do and one day they're just going to fucking, Die.
all this God damn hard work motherfuckers do and they just die all this sacrifice and they just died all this striving they fucking do and they just die all this time and effort they put into something and they just die and they have to leave it behind all this wealthy dumbasses gain and they just die and they have to leave absolutely everything they earned behind.
@ God ! ! ! ! !
WHAT WAS THE FUCKING POINT ! ? ? ?
if you want to know why I keep putting an @ God, He's Omnipresent.
And, I want to read just read that as I'm saying at the same time I'm really trying to talk towards God but God never get a reply back, I find an amazing when you when you get a paranormal encounters especially with deity, the higher powers and they'll talk to you then Thay'll just go fucking mute for a long time, I think they have limitations.
To an atheist it's undeniable proof that they don't fucking exist but the someone has had real hardcore experiences that have extreme difficulty proving them.
you know well in advance that they're fucking real deity just seemingly go fucking mute or they have difficulties in communication.

okay personally, two of my favorite things they did in interstellar were the planet with the endless ocean and the shots of/with the gigantic waves, and the sequence of cooper in the black hole. like, these are fucking insane pictures and i'm honestly a bit giddy just talking about it lol
and i get your point about hope, absolutely agree with it. for me, family also plays such an important role in it. a bunch of the motivations and points of the film are based on familiar connection and love, and as someone with a pretty small family and a lot of love for them, i always appreciate seeing it in movies.
life away from earth, yay!! :D gonna be honest, i always find the thought of aliens seeing humanity and being like 'nah, not worth it' so so hilarious. also, understandable.
and oh my god. talk about our place in space and time. i'm gonna have an existential crisis. it's always such an insane thought to remember that in all this, we're pretty much nothing. probably not even a millisecond in the timeline of the universe. and still we try to make our life worthwhile. i will lose my mind if i think about it for too long.
last but not least, i truly hope wormhole travel truly is discovered and works one day. like, the possibilities to learn would be endless. new places in space, finding out if there are any other forms of life, be it more or less intelligent than humans. how do other parts of the universe work, are there different rules than what humanity believes to be true right now. probably not gonna be around when it happens but just the dream is enough sometimes i guess lol
ohhhh my god the sequence of cooper in the black hole was soooo cool!!! I was, like, internally screaming /pos the entire time! and the ocean planet was also super sick!! overall, the entire movie is just beautifully made (AND the soundtrack is so good and just makes it even better).
the familial connections in that movie are so heartwarming and also make me cry a bit. like, the way the gravity of the black hole was affecting time (as black holes do) and thus essentially removing the astronauts from the timelines of their families was so ougashjdskajdghsljldgskhjdsk y'know??
also, side note, the way the movie ends before cooper gets to see amelia? amazing but also drives me a bit insane because the last thing we see of amelia is her being essentially all alone. just imagining what must be going through her mind—her father's dead, her companions are dead, and she's now, from her perspective, tasked with preserving humanity's legacy? oausdhghjdkhdskjdghskjdhuishdshs
I often think about big existential thoughts so in some ways I feel like I'm in a constant state of going a bit mad. But like, it's so beautiful nonetheless. Like, everything in the universe is interconnected. We aren't separate from the universe we are the universe, y'know? we're a part of it. People talk about the meaning of life all the time, but I think it's enough to just be, you know? The universe is so vast, and yet the universe will never again experience itself in the way that you are currently experiencing it. We're all adding pieces to the universe's existence and experience, and isn't that enough? To live and know that it is somehow entirely unique and yet so connected to everything else?
I absolutely agree on the bit about the wormholes!! I think it would be such an amazing thing to be able to utilize as it would let us reach much much further than we ever would be able to without it. I look out at the night sky and sometimes I just look at the void between the stars knowing it stretches out infinitely past that. And there's so much we don't know. There's so much we can't even see because the light hasn't been able to travel to us yet. We're constantly staring at an echo of the past, and that is so crazy to me. In some ways, it's a form of immortality, I think. Your light is never really truly gone, and in millions of years maybe someone will look up and see the light of our star from this very moment.
Anyway, I, personally, am simply planning on not dying so I can see the mysteries of the universe being unraveled and so I can travel amongst the stars, but that's just me asdjkghjhdhkjdshldjhsds.
