i’d love to see Kit waking up after the honey incident and remembering the way he spoke to Iris (and the way she cared for him)
The honey incident
Kit wakes up with a pounding headache, petals stuck in his hair, and a sense that something isn't right.
And something is not right; he isn't in his room.
He shoots up from the floor, his head protesting, and terror strikes him hard and fast.
He's in Iris's private rooms, and last night's memories strike him like a blow.
Kit whimpers as he remembers how he acted; painfully disrespectful, and far far too fae.
What was he thinking?
The door to Iris's bedroom begins to open, and he scrambles away, his back hitting the far wall.
"Kit?" calls Iris into the room. "Are you alright?"
He can't answer without admitting his faults, so he says nothing.
Her eyes land on him, and her face softens.
"I'm sorry," he says.
"What for?"
"For being a nuisance. Bothering you. I made you play with me. I cried on your shoulder and got your shirt wet."
Iris frowns, and Kit curls up smaller against the wall.
"Firstly, you didn't make me do anything. And you were right anyway. I don't do anything fun. So thank you."
Kit stares at her, uncomprehending.
"Just don't do magic drunk, next time," she says, gesturing to the petals stuck in his hair. "It took ages to get rid of those flowers."

i feed Kit lots and lots of honey until he is drunk and incoherent. and then i shove him in Iris room. he’s her problem now
When Iris opens her bedroom door to see a very weepy Kit in her drawing room, she's surprised. It's unlike him to be so openly upset in front of her. Although she has heard him cry, it wasn't anything like this.
"Sorry," he hiccups, his face flushed red. "I didn't mean to."
She doesn't know what he's talking about, but believes him anyway. After all, he can't lie.
Iris sits with him on the couch until his tears are mostly gone, and all that's left of Kit is a very cuddly seelie.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"No," he says petulantly, rubbing his face into her shoulder.
She's not sure what he's doing, and it makes her uncomfortable.
"Stop that, please," she tells him, pushing him away. He falls back boneless on the couch, splaying out on the cushions.
He looks nearly comical, six feet of fae sprawled out like an awkward teen.
"You never want to play," he whines, crocus and larkspur sprouting out of her wooden floor. What a mess.
"Play?"
Kit shoots up to a sitting position, rocking a little. "Yes!" he exclaims. "You never have fun, or do anything you like, or even hug people, and it's depressing!"
"Sorry?" she says, confused. "I'm too old for games, Kit." She doesn't want to talk about the hug comment.
Kit leans in, a silly smile on his face. She's never seen him look so... seelie. "No one is too old for fun," he says, serious and mischievous all at once.
Was he like this before he was kidnapped? Excitable, cuddly, and just wanting to play?
"Okay," she agrees, before she can regret refusing. "Why not? Show me a game."
