"mate she's killing me, i really don't know how you put up with her." caitlin grumbled with a huff, shoving kyra away who tickled at the back of her neck with a grin, all of you exhausted after a long day of travel.

"patience and practice." you smiled bumping your shoulder into the older girls who sighed and grabbed her bag, heading into the hotel before kyra could catch her.

there wasn't a need though as of course kyra's attention was on her most favourite person to annoy, steph.

"kyra get off you rat!" steph laughed, shoving kyra away where she tried to clamber onto her back, smacking the younger girl in the back of the head as she reached for her bags.

"ow! babe did you see that? she abused me." your girlfriend turned to you with a pout. "baby you abuse her on a daily basis, you asked for it." you patted her cheek softly as steph laughed loudly in her face and slung an arm over you.

"and this is why you're my favourite child." steph sighed happily as you shot your girlfriend a grin over the older girls shoulder whose pout had shifted into a grumpy scowl as she grabbed her bags and yours.

"not fair! you've known each other longer." kyra grumbled moodily, steph having played alongside you since your very first pro season in the a-leagues, having taken you under her wing from day one. "i'm also significantly more tolerable than you ky." you teased as your girlfriend rolled her eyes and mocked you under her breath.

"thats the understatement of the century." steph agreed with a hum, yelping as kyra kicked at the back of her legs and sent her stumbling forward nearly taking you down with her. "kyra!" steph growled as your girlfriend beamed and sprinted into the hotel.

"you can do so much better than her, you know that right?" steph sighed taking your face in her hands as you rolled her eyes. "you love us together stephanie don't lie, you meddled about to get us with one another in the first place!" you wagged a finger as she grinned and let you go.

"i do, i really do. she might be a massive pain in the ass but you two are adorable together!" steph cooed and pinched your cheek as the two of you stepped inside the lobby.

"yeah and you've got her on a leash! whipped." you turned around at the new voice as your face lit up. "lani!" you launched at the taller girl, wrapping yourself around her in a hug as the defender squeezed you tightly.

"no longer wanting to punch me now are we baby t?" the blonde teased as she dropped you back to your feet and you pushed her shoulder with a scoff. "one; i hate that nickname. two; it was a dirty tackle and you deserved a yellow!" you warned as the older girl simply grinned and pulled you into her side, the two of you catching up as you wandered toward check in.

"also you might hate it but you're branded with that nickname for life now." alanna warned patting your head as you pushed her away, the nickname in general being a shortened version of 'baby tillie' which you'd earned the day you rocked up for your first senior camp at only fifteen with boots one size too big and your training bib on backwards.

you made your way around saying your hello's, your girlfriend waiting patiently by check in with your bags at her feet already having said her greetings.

"so you finally did it then?" steph looked up and her face broke out into a grin at the sight of hayley, embracing the shorter girl in a very tight hug. "did what?" steph frowned a little as hayley nodded over her shoulder toward kyra who was watching you with a lovesick pining stare.

"oh yes! finally manipulated them both into admitting their feelings for one another." steph smiled victoriously, you and kyra only having been officially together for a few months now after clearly crushing mutually for years.

"i give it a couple more weeks till she gets sick of that." hayley grinned, nodding to kyra who had grown bored of waiting for you, now wrapped around caitlin trying to pull her into a headlock.

"oh that isn't a problem with them. in fact, its a solution! just you wait."

sure enough, the others didn't need to wait long to see just what steph meant.

with word of you and kyra spreading rapidly around the team it wasn't long until the teasing started which you just brushed off with a roll of your eyes and a smile.

kyra however took the opposite approach, bragging on and on about how much you were whipped for her and how you were the biggest 'simp' she'd ever met, a charming recount which really no one but kyra actually believed.

after a grueling morning of fitness testing in the hot abu dhabi sun and everyone was cooling down in the ice baths prepared by the coaching staff, protein shakes in hand as time was spent catching up.

"on your left darlin." you looked up with a grin as ellie jumped in beside you, inhaling with a slight hiss at the change in temperature and clenching her top in her teeth, slowly sinking down into the freezing water.

"well well well if isn't little miss le clean sheet!" you teased with a smirk, ellie shoving your head to the side as the media team started their rounds with the mini mic having already cautioned everyone about camp content being needed.

"who would play you in a movie about your life?" you oohed as it was your turn, ellie already answering as you paused to think about your own. "natalie portman?" you laughed, unable to really think of an answer.

"you wish!" ellie scoffed with a grin, a few of the other girls adding onto the teasing as you mocked them and pulled a face. "because you look so much like margot robbie!" you threw back at alanna whose face dropped as your girlfriend hopped into the ice bath with her.

"fuck off kyra!" the blonde groaned, shoving her away as kyra stuck her finger in her ear with a grin. "anyone else want to babysit?" alanna grumbled, huffing and smacking the midfielder who continued to poke and prod at her.

"ky!" your girlfriend paused to look over her shoulder toward you as you raised an eyebrow.

no further words needing to be said the brunette sank down a little deeper into the water, sipping on her shake and stopping pestering alanna who looked on in surprise as you returned to your conversation with ellie and claire.

hayley got to see everything first hand a little later in the day, everyone gathering together for a session in the gym now it was a little cooler and everyone had eaten lunch.

"kyra! you're fucking killing me here." caitlin groaned as the girl clung onto her leg like a child, refusing to let go so she could continue her workout. "kyra please go finish your own reps, burn off some energy or something." steph tried with a roll of her eyes as kyra ignored her and continue to cling on.

a few others tried but kyra just ignored them, caitlin trying desperately to shake her off and even threatening to drop a weight on her head had no effect on the midfielder.

"mini man help me out!" caitlin whined pointing to kyra as katrina held her hands up. "she doesn't listen to me!" the older woman laughed, knowing the younger girls willingness to annoy others much out drove her willingness to listen to them.

"ky, can you spot me please?" you appeared suddenly with a drink bottle in hand, kyra dropping from caitlins leg and immediately jumping up to her feet, following loyally after you like a puppy.

"well, would seem she does listen to someone." hayley scoffed, all of the girls bar steph's faces written with shock, watching as kyra raced off to fill your water up for you after loading up the bench press insisting you not touch a thing until she returned.

"see? told you ras, baby t's got her wrapped right round her little finger." steph smirked somewhat proudly, the girls all shaking their heads and returning to their own workouts, kyra hovering protectively above you watching like a hawk as you did your lifts.

if word spread quickly about you and kyra just simply finally being together, it spread even faster about just what an impact and a grip you seemed to have over the rambunctious midfielder and her pestering antics.

"no way! she's that much of a pain." mackenzie scoffed in disbelief at alanna's words about what happened in the gym yesterday and in the ice baths, caitlin adding in several experiences of her own from back in london.

like the time kyra was caught tying katie's shoes together and with one disappointed sigh from you she immediately untied them and raced to katie with an apology.

or the time she wouldn't stop spraying alessia with her water bottle for the entire training until suddenly you were thirsty and she was barreling over toward the taps to fill up about five of them which were ran right over to you.

or the time she stacked up a whole heap of the big black foam training blocks to prove to teyah she could in fact touch the roof.

but with one mention of her name and a raised eyebrow from you, the midfielder was clambering down and putting the blocks back, showering your face with apologetic kisses as you scolded her and warned she could have been seriously hurt had she fallen.

"you are lying! look at her she's a menace." mackenzie rolled her eyes pointing to where kyra was currently rolling around on the rec room floor wrestling with charli as teagan egged them on.

"what are we talking about then?" you hopped over the back of the couch they were sat on, wedging yourself between alanna and mackenzie. "comfortable?" the blonde raised an eyebrow as you tucked yourself into her side and stretched your legs out over mackenzies lap.

"very, thank you lanz." you grinned patting her knee as the older girl rolled her eyes affectionately but moved her arm to drape across you. "how you've got kyra wrapped round your little finger." caitlin chuckled in answer to your previous question.

"oh yeah, absolutely." you nodded with a serious expression as mackenzie scoffed. "there is no way, she's too much of a stubborn pest to listen to anyone." the goalkeeper shook her head as you shrugged, unbothered by the disbelief.

"game of uno?"

"ha! draw four, again." alanna smirked toward mackenzie who was fuming, yanking another four cards up and mumbling angrily under her breath.

"relax mac you're gonna burst a blood vessel in your forehead, at your age that could cause some serious winkle damage." you teased, both you and caitlin down to one card each as poor mackenzie now had at least twelve.

"unless you would like me to hang you upside down by your ankles again, shut it." the older girl warned seriously as you held hands up in defence. "that was so good i've gotta find the video of that again." alanna snickered as you pinched her leg with a glare.

"i didn't even deserve it considering i was framed and both of you knew and didn't say anything!" you huffed at the memory of the goalkeeper indeed hanging you upside down by your ankles when she thought you'd put honey in her gloves.

but really it was of course a much younger sam who didn't even come to your defence as you swore black and blue it wasn't you, mackenzie only letting you down when your face went bright red since the blood had rushed to your head.

"i said i was sorry and i threw sam in the ice bath, don't be a baby about it." mackenzie shrugged finally getting alanna back with a draw four of her own. "you never said sorry!" you argued with a scowl which quickly turned to a victorious smirk as you slapped down your final card with a whoop of success.

"three in a row, unbeatable." you grinned happily, all three girls around you moaning in annoyance and throwing their cards down. "i'm tapping out, leaving as a winner you know?" you flexed with a confident smile.

"goodnight!" you hurried to dart out of the way of alanna's hand which grabbed for your top as you wiggled your fingers at them over your shoulder.

your girlfriend in the meantime was on a winning streak of her own only it wasn't just her opponents whose nerves she was rapidly grating as she sat on a beanbag playing mario kart, yelling and jeering and poking at poor steph who was stuck in dead last.

"nah this is rigged! what have you done to it?" she shot the brunette beside her a fierce glare as kyra let out an over dramatic evil laugh causing a few heads to turn to her with scowls of annoyance at her volume in the shared space.

picking up on the rapidly frosty mood building in the room and not wanting your girlfriend to make too many enemies on her first night, as kyra crossed the finish line in first you decided to step in.

"ha! loser loser looser." kyra leapt up and chanted repeatedly at steph beside her who scowled and threw the remote onto the now vacant beanbag beside her as kyra continued with her obnoxious celebrations.

"anyone else game enough to face the champ?" the midfielder smiled smugly looking around the room but clearly missing the looks of disdain thrown back at her, even charli looking ready to call it a night.

"nobody? everyone too chicken?" kyra made a loud squawking noise and grinned. "just go to bed kyra! you are giving everyone a headache." caitlin groaned from the sofa as your girlfriend started to argue.

"ky." your hand grabbed softly at her bicep, cutting her off mid sentence as she looked to you with a raised eyebrow, the brunette now consumed entirely in giving you whatever you wanted.

"baby, i'm tired. lets head up?" you asked with a raised eyebrow, kyra nodding and immediately tossing the controller onto the beanbag without another word, grabbing your hand and following you right out of the room.

"see? around. her. little. finger!" caitlin smirked at the look of utter shock on mackenzie's face, most of the team looking on in surprise at yet again just how easily kyra would bend over backwards to meet your needs.

"ow! what the hell was that for?" steph huffed as hayley dropped down in the beanbag beside her and handed her one of the abandoned controllers.

"for not getting them together sooner!"

Also! While I knew f1 drivers are prohobited from doing dangerous stuff (unless you are Charles Leclerc and can make puppy eyes, then you can run half a marathon, wall climb, ice wall climb, scuba dive, ride and water scooter and what not), but I did not know red bull (and probably other drivers) have it specified in their contract they can't even drive a motorbike - which some of them wanted to do at Honda thanks day seeing Marc Marquez on his bike

Ben Sulayem is playing some weird game i do not like taking a dig at jean todt for leaving the fia operating with a loss (completely disregarding that's counting the covid years where motorsports events often couldn't even take place and lawsuit fees for the use of halo) and saying how under him the non profit organisation will get balanced sheet by 2025 (also said how fia must focus on safety and reputation which... hmm)

There are some rumours about the fia and its integrity and governing abilities (I just learned about how they fucked up wtcc and then wtcr after making the championship with close fights and easy rules where more teams could get in too exclusive opening chance for Citroën only to get ready for new rules so they dominated everything and adding huge spoilers which created dirty air and kept overtaking close to zero. Sounds scarily similar to f1 these days?)

Her standard was Max, and god, did that ever ruin her chance to have a rebound. Whenever she got the chance to go on dates, she seemed to cower from the thought. As if she was worried about not getting along with the said dates.

Speaking of anxiety.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was on the go, and to say that it was nerve wracking would be quite a shame. You would think that she would be alright with walking down the runway now— but to know that some of her peers were here to support her, three days after the last race? Yeah, she might as well shit on her pants.

She had everyone else to be nervous about; Lady Gaga was there for fucks sake. She was in the same room as Adriana Lima and Elsa Hosk. Hell, even Abel would be performing during her segment— why was she nervous about seeing her driver friends while she walked down the runway?

She supposed that no one had seen her pose in her underwear before. That, and that they all grew up with her— it was weird to see your childhood friend all grown up, dressed in lingerie and nothing else.

Not that Max Verstappen hadn’t seen that months ago.

Fuck, Max was going to be there!

She knew she was nervous. She just didn’t realize that it was because of him. Why would she be nervous? After all, working together had a major effect on their relationship. And… sleeping together once.

Because he didn’t bring it up anymore after their conversation that day. He was friendly with her, but not once did he mention that he wanted to do it again. She wasn’t sure if it was because of their workplace relationship or their general friendship, but she was sure as hell that it hurt. Not that she would ever tell him that. Not especially after she found a woman clinging to him at their next race’s afterparty.

So it did hurt. But as a prideful daughter of a miserable mother, she kept a straight face and smiled at everyone.

After seeing him that night, she kept their relationship as civil as it could be— only listening to him “Maxplain” everything he could speak about, and offering him advice whenever he needed it. She failed to mention a lot of things in her life— like how Abel was performing tonight. Max only found out through their friends hours prior to the event and while it pissed him off to no end, he couldn’t afford to upset Sylvie on her special day. This was her day after all. She was debuting as a VS model.

Tilly and Aimee had managed to see Sylvie and Stevie before the show as they prepared. They had mostly spoken about how they were able to get to the location easily and how Soren fussed when Tilly left him at Toto’s watch.

“The boys are there,” Aimee pointed her head towards the direction of the audience, “I told them not to be foolish this time around.”

“Did you tell them to behave and not bark?” Stevie giggled, making Sylvie cackle. Sylvie’s makeup artist shot her a warning to not ruin her makeup by crying in laughter.

“They know not to,” Tilly rolled her eyes, “those men have PR managers to answer to otherwise.”

“I think George and Alex were only there chilling,” Aimee said, “I didn’t think someone could have anxiety even if they’re just an audience— not until I saw Max.”

“Max? Why?” Now that piqued Sylvie’s curiosity.

Tilly answered, “I dunno. It must’ve been the adrenaline from Abu Dhabi, if you were to ask me. He’ll be fine once the show starts.”

The beating of her heart slowed down when her segment started, only focusing on the front and had only given Abel a look of indifference before making her way through the middle, posing with her head tilting slightly to the right. Walking back, she glanced on her right and watched Max’s eyes stare at hers.

She kept her head in his direction for a moment, not even realizing that she walked past Abel as her ears muted his song and voice, only paying attention to Max before looking back in front of her and walking off.

Max knew that she had seen him with his not-really-girlfriend in each race, and it was extremely stupid of him. Rebounds shouldn’t be a thing at all, he told himself. He knew how he felt about her, yet after spending some time with her in a bedroom, he seemed to chicken out and not tell her about the love he had for her.

He always wondered how she went from insulting him jokingly to having a civil conversation and agreeing to everything he said. It was wrong. Why didn’t she say something about it? They agreed not to lie to each other, did they not?

He seemed to feel like a hypocrite just saying that. But he was more than willing to admit that she was just as beautiful as she was before. He only started to feel different when they shared an intimate moment with each other, one that he’d like to relive for as long as he could breathe.

But they weren’t even aware that admitting would have to take time. After all, there were more problems to solve.

Partying had never been a priority for her, if you were to ask, but Kendall insisted that Sylvie come along before the younger girl could even dive headfirst into her work throughout their break. The third Hearth daughter only nodded and dressed up as nicely as she could, only deciding that she would only drink one glass of daiquiri. What she didn’t know, however, was that Kendall had invited her guy friends to join them at the party. She had never felt so annoyed— why wouldn’t Kendall tell her in the first place that she’d invite them? Not that she wasn’t enthralled at the thought. Some warning would have sufficed.

But it wasn’t their presence that made her want to go home.

Everyone was too busy dancing to even sit in their booth, leaving Sylvie behind while she scrolled through her Twitter. She liked the peaceful atmosphere that the club could offer in a booth. And her blocking Abel was definitely something.

Her eyes found a tweet that left her blood running cold. No.

“Sylvie’s Failed F1 Career: Explained”

From top to bottom, the story of her discontinued journey in Formula One was splayed out in a gossip website— a rather accredited one, while you’re at it. People would normally say not to believe what you see on the internet, but the truth was published and spread in the Formula One community and show business.

Nobody knew what had happened before. Not until now. Whoever the fuck were these anonymous sources, they were nothing but assholes. Everything in the article was detailed from head to toe. Some stuff that people didn’t know were put up for everyone to see and shame her with.

Then panic started to spread across her body, her feet stumbling up as she marched down towards the dance floor, her hand gripping on Max’s shirt as she dragged him to a seedy area of the club no one had ever stepped foot on.

“Mustang, what—“

“Cut the bullshit, Max,” she spewed out venomously before she shoved her phone in his hand. “Did you do this?”

His eyes peered down on the article on screen as they widened. He looked up to see her teary eyes appearing once more.

“No,” he answered honestly, but she wasn’t having it.

“You knew what happened, you’re the one who reported me, Max,” she cried out, her body shaking in anger and panic as she continued, “you saw that. You told the officials—“

“But that doesn’t mean I would fuck your career over!” Max exclaimed in frustration. “I told you that if you had somehow given me a heads up that they were kicking you out, I would have gone back and made them review it. Me not being there when you were being questioned was the biggest mistake I’ve made, because I know you. You’re honest. I would’ve known. I would’ve admitted that I was wrong if I heard you speak for yourself.”

“Then why do this? If you respect me then why do this now?”

“Sylvie, schatje,” he took a deep breath before looking at her again, “I would not— for the life of me— treat you like that. God, I would never forgive myself if I did. So I swear that isn’t me.”

He didn’t even realize how bad their situation was until she started crying and crumbling in his arms, the music still tampering with the hysterical sound of her sobs. He tried to comfort her right there, but the loudness of the club only messed with both of their emotions and anxiety as he picked up their stuff and hailed for a cab.

It didn’t take him long to find his room as she continued to cry in his arms. She spoke about her worries about her career as she sobbed, not wanting to lose her job in Red Bull and as a model because of this disaster they both called a lie. How was she going to explain all of this to her family? She asked herself as she sniffled, wiping her tears away. She hadn’t even realized that Max was crying too.

All of this happened because he believed his friends who couldn’t give anymore shit about him. All of this happened to her because of him. All he could do now was apologize with tears.

“I- I- I’ll do my best to fix this,” Max stammered, wiping his tears away to hide it away from her as she looked up. “Let me please help you fix this. This was my doing and I- I can’t hurt you like this, Sylv. I can’t afford to have you lose your career because of me. Just… please, forgive me and let me help.”

“Please, Max,” she whispered. “I can’t be silenced anymore, Max. I- I need someone to speak for me.”

“We’ll be speaking for you,” Max promised, leaning his forehead against hers. “I’ll… I don’t care if it ruins my own career, I just know yours cannot be ruined because of me. I’ll be here for you, schatje. Just have me.”

Reactions to Miracle Creator's Chapter 138

New TCF chapter title - 20. A Miracle Happened in the Demon Cult

TLDR; Cale x HD moment. Angry HD. Blood Cult spies captured. Upcoming CH and CJS spar.

Cale x HD Moment My inner fangirl screamed again today. Last chapter, we had handholding (leeeeewd 🤩) and staring at each other's eyes closely. Today, we have ear whispers!!! 😳🤭

The scene went like this:

Cale and HD: *talks about what to do with Blood Cult spies* Cale: By the way... *looks serious* HD: *senses Cale's serious air and becomes serious too* Cale: *whispers* Can we get some snacks? I have a child who wants to eat. HD: ... Cale: (Why is he looking at me like that?) Raon: Yey! I'm excited! Go bring out all the expensive sweets!

Okay, it's just my BL filter acting up... 😅 But this scene was funny. The atmosphere was so serious, and then Cale suddenly asks HD for sweets. 😂Even Cale was embarrassed of his request, so he ended up whispering to HD... 🤣🤣🤣

One more Cale and HD moment: They talk to each other casually now. HD no longer uses "Young Master" when he calls Cale. He simply said "Kim Hae-il." And Cale replied to him with short words.

Angry Heavenly Demon This is to be expected. HD was so angry that his dark red aura, that was similar to Cale's Dominating Aura, was in full blast. He was so cool when he dominated the Demon Cult and gave all those orders. I want to go into detail but this is a reaction post, so sorry~ 🤐 All I can tell you is that he also gave the command to annihilate the Blood Cult like what the Namgung Clan did.

Our Cale was both impressed and fearful upon seeing the might of the Demon Cult because of HD. He even thought Blood Cult made a fatal mistake in making the Demon Cult their enemy.

And Cale experienced again how people felt when he uses his Dominating Aura because of HD's aura. He had goosebumps in his arms that he had to use his own DA AP to counteract HD's aura.

Blood Cult Spies Captured The spies were subdued quite quickly, and our Cale was scared again of the Demon Cult's power. They're still alive and would be interrogated. The way before they were subdued was also a cool scene.

We get some flashback of HD's miserable childhood and why he hated noise and actual rats. And then there was the transition to the "rats" (the spies) that entered the Demon Cult.

Oh yeah, who were the spies? -Pavilion Master Kee from the Coin Tree Pavilion -Captain Maeng, leader of one of the Demon Cult's 8 brigades

Upcoming CH and CJS Spar And we have our Soos scene at the end of the chapter. Which means it ended at a cliff... 😑B-B-BUT! This means that the next chapter on Monday is full of Soos!!! 🥰

Ending Remarks Today was full of cool scenes highlighting the power of HD and the Demon Cult. Yeah, HD is the author's favorite murim arc character. Anyway, look forward to next week's Soos interaction! See ya!

Daniel is getting on my nerves. I liked how he brought out a goofy side in Max but that's about it. So I get you. And Charles, meh, to me it is obvious that he would rather be married to Pierre, that is the obvious ship. Aside from Pierre and Yuki. Although I'm a mawis shipper, so I absolutely shouldn't talk about the delusion of ships, but Mawis is for the drama. I just don't see enough fun in Lestappen. There is neither spice nor Charles looking all that besotted. They're friends, sure, but eh. If you ask me, Charles seems much more keen to fuck Lewis than Max, anyway. It's the worship and Lewis being weirdly endeared by him.

i've come to realise i don't like the person daniel, but the idea of daniel. this character that everybody loves and when his fun sides are highlighted. when i see a photo of him smiling, i smile too. but the moment it's a video and he makes a bad joke i just... maybe i outgrew him. i think i did, you know. he was a bit different in the start, being The Funny Unserious One but now i realise he's just.. well a bit shallow. he's not always open about his opinion or what's going on with him, really. sure, the mclaren break did get him to speak up about how he's doing but i never really think we get anywhere close to who he is, you know. i think -- and all of this is from the farthest distance imaginable and just through pixels -- that i know max and lando (and sometimes lewis, but he's also quite PR-ified, but with him it doesn't bother me as much) way better than i know daniel. he does bring a little bit of a goofy side from max, and naturally max knows daniel way better than i can ever imagine doing, but i don't really like daniel as a person anymore. it started, for me i think, with daniel's quote (paraphrased since i don't fully remember and am lazy to look it up) about how he doesn't follow the news because it's too negative. bro what the fuck is that sort of shallow bullshit. and then the misoginistic podcasts he went on, laughing about women-can't-drive jokes, come oooon. but really: grow uppp. i think i outgrew him because over the years i've seen him, i've matured. and i don't think daniel has all too much. and that's why he's started to get on my nerves a bit as well.

piarles is probably the gayest ship we have on the entire paddock rn. i could only WISH for the canon content for any ship the way they keep providing.

as for lestappen: first of all i like to have it be clear that there's no such thing as shipwars and that not one ship is 'better' than the other. all of this is my personal preference and being a fan of a ship i'm not a fan of doesn't mean i don't like you or whatever. we all have our preferences and our differences! i mean no harm or offense with this ok ok ok!

that being said: lestappen is mawis lite. it's the lite version of 4433 in all their ways. the thing that makes lestappen interesting, from what i've gathered, is that they're 'enemies' to lovers. but what i see these days is that lestappen are just two co workers. they chat, occasionally, sure. but there's no real threat, there's no spice, and as you said: there's no drama. 4433 does have all that, and to me so much more as well. it never started out as enemies to lovers. it started out as a rookie who everyone hyped up soo much. a rookie that really created a stir in the f1 world. and then the growing legend, an unbeatable team and one very strong unbeatable driver. lewis had his focus on nico those years, on the whole brocedes drama (mandatory ex-lovers in any mawis ship fr fr), on growing as a successful racing driver, at being the best, at changing the world he was in to make it more accepting. on figuring out who he is as a person (we've been through quite some lewis-phases). and all that time, max was climbing up the ranks bit by bit. he was a threat to come, like the news predicting a storm and you're just waiting till the wind starts blowing and the rain starts falling. lewis felt the breeze from moment one, but wasn't threatened. lewis felt the first drops of rain, but wasn't threatened. and then all of a sudden, max was there. and they fought and they clashed and they were nice to each other until they weren't, and lewis had so much at stake and lost it. and now he's fighting again and again, never satisfied, having fallen back from his high pedestal to (hopefully) P2 in the standings. but he wants to be there, he wants to fight max again. i don't think lewis will be happy unless he's beaten max one last time to get his eighth. and then he'll retire. but it's that necessity he's fighting for. and max, just like lewis, feels the breeze and the rain, and waits.

all the while charles hopes to get on the podium a few times in a season. and then he's next to max and they're chatting and that's ok. but if lewis is there too, max spends his entire cooldown room sesh next to lewis and chatting with lewis.

Only Friends Episode 7 - After Effect

Where Mew enters his villain era, Boston gets his due, Ray unfortunately continues to self-destruct while Sand, Nick and Top are all suffering from their broken relationships

Mew

This episode is definitely owned by Mew. I wasn’t wrong when I said in the last episode he wanted to deal with Ton/Top personally and hence why he kept quiet 🤐 after Ray told him of the news. I’m glad he apologised to Ray after knowing Ray spiralled during the party because the latter devastatingly thought Mew didn’t believe him.

But oh…the way Mew changed his appearance (to resemble Ray, which opens another can of worm altogether), persuaded Nick to give some juicy content on Ton and then baiting Gap just to get the illegal sex tape was top notched 🫡🫡🫡. And he followed the actions by making Ton believed he was going to release said video to Ton’s father; resulting in Ton finally getting down to his knees and asking for mercy (although Ton has the audacity to invoke “in the name of our friendship” to Mew….I’m sorry, I snorted when he said that)…even Mew pointed that out “Our friendship? Where did that go when you slept with Top?”

And while I am loving this bad ass Mew plus seeing Top/Ton getting some comeuppance, I winced at the ending we got in this episode - Mew clearly knows Ray is not over him. And while he doesn't see Ray as anything but a good/close friend (he even said it upfront when Ray asked what does Top has that he doesn't? - and Mew answered nothing, Ray is just not for him), he followed it by agreeing to give Ray a chance, likely using Ray as a rebound. Ray who has hold a torch for Mew all this while, well I'm not surprised he pounced on the chance to finally shows he is worthy for Mew.

But going by episode 8 preview, this is a disaster in making with both Mew & Ray enabling each other, bringing out the worst of their characters 😩 - especially with Mew letting loose (getting drunk) and Ray getting high (on drugs), when just not long ago Mew previously lectured him on staying away from alcohol/drugs (I guess heart breaks can make you do stupid things, yeah?)

Ray

Which brings me to my disaster muffin - Sigh....look, I'm glad he made up with Mew and Cheum because he clearly values their friendships (Ton is another story altogether, I'm still not sure how they become friends to begin with as it appears Ray knows how callous Ton can be?)

I am also quietly pleased to see Sand giving some tough love on Ray when he yet again saved Ray's life (this makes it 3 times now?). It's clear Ray likes Sand and finds him dependable. They share the same interest in many things including music, and Ray opens up to Sand about his past (which I don't think even his circle of besties know much about).

And the fact that Ray allows Sand to dress him as he sees fit, constantly making sure he is fed and care for him (amongst the many other things that Sand does for him) also speaks volume of the trust he has for Sand. Plus, Sand touching on Ray's alcohol addiction? - that was nicely done 👌, when he casually brought the subject up while helping Ray in the bathtub. Unfortunately, Ray is not ready to acknowledge this fact - and this will likely be another issue of contention down the track.

It is also clear while his father seems to care for him (although I do think he could have showed it better to Ray), they have a complicated relationship. His father seems to be absent a lot, probably from work?(I guess the rich lifestyle that Ray's enjoy has to come from somewhere), resulting in Ray feeling neglected.

But now that RayMew is going to come into fruition in the upcoming episode, well...time will tell if Ray can finally sees who's truly in his heart (and mind). My prediction is Ray (and Mew) will find that while they are compatible as close friends - as partners, they just don't match as well - Ray needs a firm hand because we know he can be selfish and spoilt (but he is also loyal, caring to his friends, plus charming and sweet when sober - I can see why Sand falls for him). And like I have mentioned previously, RayMew seems to enable each other bad habits (maybe because as a friend, Mew is fine to lecture Ray but as a new bf/partner, he doesn't think he can? Perhaps to keep peace and fitting in with Ray's lifestyle - I mean he got Lasix for Top, and now we see him changing his styles/clothes to be like what Ray used to wear in earlier episodes)

(on a side note, Khaotung and Book looked good, dancing together in episode 8 preview. I wouldn't have mind them being in a BL together as a couple, just not this one)

Sand

Urghh, my heart breaks for him. He has fallen for Ray so deeply. And despite his calculative move last episode, you can tell he regretted it almost immediately when Ray exploded in the bar, resulting in the latter drunk driving. I'm glad he apologised to Ray about this matter.

This guy is a born caretaker, and he thrives on this. Sand can't help looking after Ray (I mean it doesn't help Ray has an effective puppy face plus like I say, loyal/charming/sweet when sober).

But he is also very much aware Ray continues to hold a torch for Mew, and his quiet acknowledgement on this matter when he comforted Nick (after the latter's own relationship with Ton fell into pieces) is telling. He has tried (and failed) to put up barriers with Ray.

Unfortunately, SandRay has never gotten the opportunity to define (or explore) their relationship further following Ton's frankly spiteful behaviour during Sand's birthday.

It seems the upcoming episode 8 is going to be a bitter pill for Sand with him resignedly noticing RayMew is a thing. But hemm...the fact that Ray appears possessive of Sand when the latter tries to move on??? - it shows Ray does feel something for Sand (but whether or not he recognises this is another matter altogether)

Top

Well, Top is all mopey this episode. It looks as though he truly loves Mew and devastated with the break up. The multiple attempts to make amend without much success....

I do feel sorry for him - but then again, he brought this upon himself after he chose the coward way out and didn't come clean on Mew (even to the last minute).

Also, the way he is defensive and combative towards Ray, declaring "I'm his boyfriend." - yeah, maybe not the best move to win Mew's heart (and his friends back) (when said boyfriend already dump your ass....)

Again, time will tell if he is truly repented...I wonder whether this will make him spiral into using drugs again?

Boston

Well, Ton is Ton. He remained arrogant, narcissistic, egotistical and callous, blaming Nick for ruining his friendship with his group of besties before dumping Nick heartlessly for the whole audio video saga. He also tried to shift the blames on Ray/Mew when they confronted him - "Without me, you wouldn't have met someone top-tiered like Top? And I slept with him first! So, you can say Top chose me first!”

It's only once Mew almost exposed the illicit video of him to his dad that he caved to Mew. Even then, I don't think he apologised for his terrible behaviour - just stating he will do anything Mew wants as long as Mew don't release the video.

I'm sorry - but I seriously don't think we will see Boston repenting. It's just that Mew now holds the upper hand and with Ray/Cheum supporting Mew, Ton has no choice but to submit (for now anyway - whether or not he will find away to get his revenge will be interesting to see in the coming episodes)

Nick

I do feel bad for him. On one hand, he should not have illegally recorded that audio file of Top/Ton doing the dirty. He is so deeply in love with Ton and accepts the latter despite all the red flags. And as he told Sand - "I don't need to be his number one. I just need him not to hate me."

Urghhh...I am praying he will find someone who values and accepts him for what he is rather than him trying to change himself to fit in what he thinks Ton (or other people wants). Maybe Papang's character will be his saviour?

As usual, my head and heart is in a mess after this episode. This is me just again gathering my thoughts before next episode...so, is it Saturday yet? I'm holding hope SandRay is still endgame and if it doesn't, well at the very least, I am hoping Sand gets with someone who appreciate him and Ray becoming sober
