because a bunch of people are sharing their alternative to Bandit!Tango, here's the scenario i had in my head since the end of DL and i was even considering writing it,, Farm Mechanic! Tango
My idea was Jimmy noticing his gunpowder farm needs a boost in efficiency, while trying to upgrade it himself he has an ugly accident with some creepers that end up badly destroying his farm and injuring some of the cats he used to herd the mobs. After that he is very shaken, specially about putting his animals in danger when they tried to protect him, but he can't just abandon the gunpowder business.
Not wanting to risk something like that happening again, Jimmy decides make a farm that doesn't use cats. But a farm without cats only means he's gonna need redstone. And he doesn't know how to use redstone.
At some point Jimmy about his struggles with Sausage, who then mentions that a while ago some guy that seemed pretty knowledgeable about redstone and farms had spent a few days in Sanctuary (since Sanctuary is just one of those places a lot of travelers and refugees pass by). Sausage offers to send one of his parrots to deliver a message to this guy asking if he would be willing to do a farm job.
And that's how mechanic Tango and Sheriff Jimmy meet! Tango arrives in Tumble Town and they instantly click. Shenanigans and fluff ensue as they work together to gather materials (u know Jimmy hasn't a single redstone dust to his name) to build one of Tangos over the top mega powered farms.
Some other moments i have in my head I wanted to mention:
- Tango first asking if Jimmy wanted to keep the herding cats designs and Jimmy being very against it but not explain further. Many days later Tango find out why when he stumbles on the Sheriff taking care of his injured kitties [insert here tango being very supportive and assuring it the accident wasn't jimmy's fault] The cats recover quickly after with now two people taking care of them.
- When the farm is done it has too modes: the normal AFK one where they die by fire or something, and one where the creepers are transported up to the afk spot to be killed by a looting sword for quick extra drops. When testing the creeper transport one, Jimmy sees that mass of creepers approaching him and panics for a moment bc it reminded him of the accident. Tango calms him down. (an arc about how the sheriff acquired a fear of creepers and tango helps him face his fears perhaps maybe?)
- There is DEFINITELY some high quality prankage involving Ravengers to get back at Joel for disrespecting the Sheriff
- After everything with the creeper farm is sorted, it feels like it would be time to say goodbye. But they keep making excuses having ideas for other farms like- hey they could sell rockets made from their gunpowder! Tango knows a good sugar cane farm! That leads to them wanting to make exploding fireworks to use with crossbows, they would need a lot of dye for that... Sure Scott won't mind if they make a small cactus farm right? So they need to smelt that cactus, time to build a super smelter! What's a good fuel? Blaze rods? Coal from a wither skelly farm? Both? One thing leads to the other, they kiss at some point, Tango ends up never really leaving Tumblr Town , he is home now after all

CRIMSON SMP - Season 6 / S7
OUR FINAL SESSION!! Things weren't gonna last long anyways with me on red, but it was probably going to be our final session either way just cause so many of us were on red. It was a ton of fun to play this season and I'd say its probably our best season yet!
As always, life count, pairs, and summary below the cut!
LIFE COUNT + PAIRINGS
TTheTinkerer [He/It] + Vinrhin [She/He] - 0 Lives RensRelay [He/Him] + Kenophbia [He/Him] - 0 Lives SteviaStevie [They/He] + Delphiez [She/Her] - 0 Lives ThatCoyGamer [He/Ae] + MaxAnthrax [He/Him] - 0 Lives Necromanttic [He/Him] + SkyIHigh [He/Him] - 0 Lives Casp_Shield [It/Its] + TheToySoldier [He/It] - 0 Lives Fizztic [He/Him] + SwiftSneaking [She/Her] - 1 Life P3bbz [Any] + Zoimbiez [He/Him] - 0 Lives
SUMMARY
The session starts off pretty normal, with me, Max, Vin, and Jonah all spawning in at my base. I immidiately tell them my vague plan for the session of "kill the yellows and then kill the next person I see," which they agree to pretty quickly. Before anything though, we decide to go on a quick mining trip to get iron for bombs and such. I try to get out of it by not having a pickaxe [which I just didn't have for some reason], but I get dragged into going anyways and being Torch-Boy. The mining trip goes by smoothly, and while we're down there Keno gets blown up by a creeper, dropping him and Ren to red pretty early on.
This left Millie as the only yellow on the server [just in general since her soulmate Log was having technical difficulties and couldn't make it for now].
We made it to the surface and called a meeting of the reds to see how many of them would be down to hunt down Millie. Only Meg and Tango showed up though, not even with their soulmates, so that kinda fell apart and we quickly separate again, with me, Jonah, Max, and Vin all going off together to hunt down Millie.
We pass by Till and Tango's house to see if they're there and perhaps kill them if they are, but they aren't so we continue to Sky's base to see if he's there, to which he isn't. Upon seeing his base is empty, I decide to trap the door for shits and giggles. I'm pretty sure me putting the bombs under the door was the most stressful 10 minuets of Max's life but it went by without issue, and the trap was rigged.
After that, we loop back around to Till and Tango's and decide to vandalize the place because why not. I set it on fire, Jonah and I break the windows, Jonah destroys their berry bushes, Jonah and Vin destroy their farm, and Max watches in disappointment. We set their dogs on fire too... LISTEN I WAS GETTING BORED NOTHING WAS HAPPENING-
After that our plan switches more to "Kill the next person we see" because I was getting bloodthirsty. We travel around a bit more, pass by Jonah and Vin's old house, burn that one too, run into Pebbz and Danny along the way but they get away before we can kill them.
We make our way to Stevie and Megs after, where we see Stevie, Meg, Tango, and Till all huddled in one room. I try and tell the rest of the group to be quiet so we can sneak up and get the jump on them, but they don't until we're already heard, which leads all 4 of them to crouch and go silent.
I sneak on top of the small base they were sheltered in, while the other three go around the front, which was really good for me cause it lead them to un-crouching so I could see where they were. After a bit of conversation, I try and fail to drop a bomb on them which ticks them off to the fact that at the very least I am here for blood. We have a short conversation before I jump down and attack Meg while Jonah goes for Till. I manage to get the kill on Meg, but Tillman is just chasing me down as well as three dogs, so I quickly hide in a tree so I can catch my breath because the adrenalin rush is fucking insane.
Vin goes to help Jonah kill Till because he's fighting a bit of a losing battle, and Vin gets the final hit, killing Till and Tango [but as far as I'm concerned it was actually Jonah cause he really wanted to kill Tillman all season]. This leaves two pairs permadead after that interaction: Stevie and Meg, and Tillman and Tango.
Shortly after Millie is killed by Maven, and break is called.
After break, we head back to my base where half the server is just hanging out. Pretty sure it was Millie, Keno, Ren, Sky, and Maven who were all just. There.
We talk for a little bit, trying to decide what to do, when Max pillars up, and drops a bomb on Sky, Maven, and ME OF ALL PEOPLE, KILLING HIMSELF IN THE PROCESS. We were all kind of together in one group so it makes sense BUT HE ONLY KILLED HIS ALLIES ALONG WITH HIMSELF WHICH IS LIKE... ALMOST IMPRESSIVE.
So that leaves another 2 pairs permadead, me and Max, and Sky and Maven.
It wasn't a very satisfying ending, but what can ya do.
After that the remaining 4 pairs split off from each other, with Vin and Jonah having gotten nearly all of mine and Max's stuff. They spend a while hunting for P3bbz and Danny, since they were the only pair not there, while Ren makes graves for everyone which is sweet.
Eventually, everyone gets bored of standing around and calls for a meeting at spawn to just fight. Jonah and Vin are the first people to show up, with Ren, Keno and Millie showing up after a bit. Not much happens until Pebbz and Danae show up in the trees around the area, which just leads to everyone shooting their dogs. Which. Ok sure.
While they're distracted, Jonah goes around behind them to catch them while they're distracted. Danny falls from the trees, and Jonah hops down to chase after him, with Pebbz following suit. They fight, and Keno shoots Danny, stealing the kill right at the end. Either way, that leaves Pebbz and Danny the next pair to be out.
After that, Vin and Jonah turn their attentions to shooting Keno and Ren, with Millie having run off to collect Pebbz and Danny's items. They push forward while shooting, and eventually the shoot-off changes to just a straight PVP battle, with both initially chasing after Keno, but Vin switching to attacking Ren when he leaves Keno's side. Vin gets the kill on Ren, meaning that Keno and Ren are the next pair out.
At this point, we're just left with Vin, Jonah, and Millie, which would mean we'd have a 2v1 fight which isn't the most fair. Which leads to Log logging on for the final battle and just saying "Fuck it we don't need voice mod" [we all moved to discord.]
Once everything is sorted out, I count them in for the final duel... which Millie and Log win! Meaning they are the winners of Season 6.
Now technically I lied in the life count list since they aren't alive, with Millie having blown them up to officially give Log the win, but shhhh its fine.
This was honestly my favourite season of CSMP I've played in, probably just in front of Season 5 which was our Limited Life season and also a lot of fun! Big shout out to everyone who participated in the season with me, it was an absolute blast despite my honestly really funny death. This'll be our last season for a while since the holiday season is coming up, so our next season will likely be in January of next year. But we'll see.
Hey maybe Wafflehouse'll live again since we don't have any other place to play minecraft in between seasons [<- lying]
Full recordings of the sessions are posted on my youtube [ThatCoyGamer], including this one which'll be up soon!

started using the journey mod and god i love it!! i love mapping shit but several crashes fucked up my in game maps. but aah i am so happy that i can save everything!!!!
infodump about my world below :3
i live in the bottom blue roofed structure near the docks! but my spawn chunks is a blue roofed house surrounded by water. i will have to replace it later; i dont spawn inside the house since its covered, so i will have to make like an open garden space (i like the house too much to delete it but i gotta D:)
Structures around my house: my nether portal, a disabled wool farm, a horse stable with many horseys and skele horseys, a small broken bamboo farm, a villager powered carrot/potato farm, and a semi-working iron farm. It's hard to point them out since they blend in with the trees. ALSO my very first base (now empty) is next to the blue roofed (warped stem/copper my beloved) bridge. again hard to point out my bad.
the big stone square is a failed drowned farm that i made for tridents ( i have plenty now so i will have to destroy it later too). The green and orange roofed structures (big white "W" and "P") are my melon and pumpkin farm. I stopped production bc i have PLENTY and my poopy laptop didnt like it running all the time.
Next to my spawn chunk house is a WHOLE (empty) village/town i made bc i was bored and liked building shit from build tutorials. I have shit labeled as bakeries, stores etc. In the town i have: a butcher shop that has a smoker furnace smelting machine; a blacksmith house that has a smelting setup for furnaces and blast furnaces; a flower shop that has a moss farm that i built recently; a log mill with a tree farm and a stone/cobble/deepslate mining space way underneath. i would LOVE to add more but im burnt out on making detailed buildings then shoving a farm or something inside.
As for my villager hall, I have built and redesigned it at least 3 times now. On the map its surrounded by mushrooms and dark oak trees near the center of the map. I love the final design, despite it looking like a summer camp. But it has like 30+ villagers and perfect defense from raids. Straight down the map from there is the villager breeder itself, with a bright yellow roof. Its set up like a mini lake house/campsite/caravan. Its VERY efficient and I def need to move the villagers. There is an underground rail system that transports them to the villager hall easily.
The white wool dotted area is a template for a mob museum but that plan has a better location. now im thinking of putting a bee/allay/frog garden sanctuary in there instead. Its a big empty space perfect for something but Im not sure yet.
And finally, to the left side of the map dotted in water and cobblestone patches is my mob head collection area. when there is a thunderstorm i drop everything and head over to that area to trident creepers. so thats why its barren and ugly. I dont wanna build anything there bc i use that space for blasting.
oh and obviously theres an abandoned village in the center of the map. the story is long ago a village tried to start out there but failed. then later a new town came along and prospered but left the old village untouched, believing it to be cursed. a couple set up shop closer than the others (right underneath the wheat fields and right of the old village is a book/potion tower shop) and they prospered but very few tried to visit which killed their business. but thats about it tbh lol.
future plans is a bee, frog, allay, and sniffer sanctuary. and several remolding/demolishing projects. I have resigned/moved outta my base like 3 times and my village hall like 3 times. If i dont like it anymore im changing it lol

I've rewatched some of Season 1 and 2 vods and I think I need the new people on the fandom to understand that Tommy became obsessed with the Discs only when they were the only thing that he believed he could still have.
A quick explanation for who doesn't know what I am talking about (and by quick, I'm sorry, I already know it's not going to be quick).
Back in Season 1, before they even started Roleplaying, Tommy found some music discs - the two we're talking about are Mellohi (the first one, which he found by actively farming discs with Skeletons and Creepers) and Cat (which he found accidentally alongside with a spider spawner nearby his home). Tommy always cared about these discs, of course, as they were his first one on the server and CC!Tommy has said that both he and the character like Minecraft music discs.
At the time, the lore of Dream SMP is really smoky, because since they were not really roleplaying but merely playing around, everything that happened was canonized later. However, what we know as canon is that Dream stole Tommy's two discs after his involvement in Ponk, Alyssa and Sapnap's war (not one that Tommy started, even if people believe him to have done so. The fact that Tommy brought war and chaos with him when he came in the server is a wrong one, as things happened even before his arrival) and Tommy, of course, tried to take them back - leading to the first Discs war alongside Tubbo.
Of course Tommy cared about his disc. They were his, and they were wrongfully stolen. However, he easily accepted giving up Mellohi to Dream in case he lost the bow duel, if that would help gain L'Manberg independence. And after that, to win the Revolution, he proposed on his own will to give the man Cat too. He was sad about it, and angry, and promised to take them back one day, but he gave them up and he did it willingly for something he cared more about. A person that's obsessed with something would not do that.
The discs were always there in Tommy's mind, of course - but they were a "distant" objective, something he needed to take back because, again, he cared about them, and they were his, but they were not his priority. They were not his priority during the Election Arc, nor during Pogtopia. On November 16th, he actually declined the role of President to actively START seeking the discs - because he was responsible enough to know that by being the President of L'Manberg, he would have to not seek war with Dream again, as he would involve L'Manberg with him by doing so. He, however, was made Vice President (although he had said before that he didn't want to be VP exactly for this reason) and again didn't start a full war on Dream because of it. He always wanted to take the Discs back, but he wasn't obsessed with them enough to ignore everything to go after them. For him, the Discs canonically came after his friends - they came after L'Manberg, after all.
Then we go onto Exile.
I already said here and here what I think about Tommy's exile but TL;DR for those who didn't see the videos or didn't realize it: Tommy was not merely exiled, but kidnapped and abused, and manipulated to believe himself to be alone even if people would be there.
During exile, Tommy started believe to have nothing, no one there - he had lost Wilbur, he had lost Tubbo, he had lost L'Manberg and everything else. There is nothing there for him anymore - and he can no longer bear the abuses and the loneliness and everything else to the point that not only he actively become suicidal, but he would have actually killed himself once if Dream wasn't there and would have jumped to his death if he hadn't suddenly realized that Dream was abusing him.
From that point on, Tommy escapes - and he goes to Techno, and what does he have?
He lost Tubbo, he lost Wilbur, he lost L'Manberg and all his friend, and he lost Dream too - the fake friend he had and the only thing that he had was a tentative alliance with Technoblade. An alliance for what?
To retake what it was his. The only thing that, while lost, he could have obtained again. His discs, with help from Techno - and for how much I believe that Techno believed he was doing the best for Tommy, and while he didn't say so out loud (and in contrary, he denied this several time) he considered Tommy a friend and an ally in that moment, he was also... shoving him towards a really, dark path, unaware of this or not.
Because Tommy started his villain arc right there. He started torturing people, for god sake. Even Technoblade said to him that he was exaggerating! And he continued, on and on.
Until that line. The line that everyone love to quote out of context.
"The Discs were worth more than you ever were!"
But what is the context of this quote? Tommy's angry. Tommy's angry, because he feels that everyone's (besides Techno) has left him behind. Tubbo exiled him, his friends didn't visit (again, they did, but I already explained here why he felt he was alone), everyone believed him to be a villain who had destroyed the Community House and Tubbo, Tubbo was going to give his disc, his precious disc that was in his care because Tommy trusted him to keep it safe, to Dream. His abuser. And so Tommy attacks, and starts screaming at Tubbo, and in rage, he says this phrase which is absolutely not true.
And then, Tommy stops. Tommy realizes what he has said - and he realized how's spiraling to a dark place. He says it later - "I'm worse than everyone I didn't want to be". Because this obsession is not worth it and he, himself, realize it. And so he gives up his discs - he says to Tubbo to give it to Dream.
People also love to bring Doomdsay and what Tommy was saying - except, Tommy wasn't saying at all to Techno that he cared only about the disc and that he betrayed Technoblade for that, which is way the phrase "Discs aren't people" (which, by the way, is followed by Tommy saying that they are people too, but go off and don't quote that, I guess...) is very out of context there for Technoblade - because Tommy GAVE UP his discs. He gave up them for L'Manberg and he gave up them for coming back to Tubbo. And that's what he was explaining. Him talking about the discs in that situation is for a different reason than "I want my disc back I am obsessed", but it's the one that the fandom actually got out of it.
"But Tommy wanted to take back the discs later too! He didn't gave them up, then! He was still obsessed!"
He wasn't. The fact that he still cared about sentimental objects that were rightfully his in the first place is no sign for an obsession. The fact that he decides to continue trying to get them is not an obsession - because this time, it's not his only reason. He's not alone. He has other priorities and the discs have now a new meaning.
People say "Tommy and Tubbo could have not tried to get the discs back, could have just let Dream burn them." And while that's right, what then? With the discs destroyed, what would have happened? It would have happened exactly what happened in the Season 2 Finale - in the exact, precise moment Tommy would have REALLY renounced the discs, then Dream would have found ANOTHER excuse. After all in the exact moment Tommy gave up the discs, he took Tubbo's hostage!
Do you believe Tommy to be so ignorant? He and Tubbo were going there for the Discs, sure, but they were going there mostly to end the fight once and for all. To end it. The discs were important, but they also were a narrative excuse both in canon and out of it.
And we go to the season 2 finale. In which, again, Tommy renounce the Discs for Tubbo. And sure, then he grabs them, he asks Tubbo if they could stole them while they were in the vault, but again - people are allowed to care about things, even material things. Unless it is really an obsession, there is nothing wrong with wanting to take back something personal.
Fandom likes to put everything on Tommy's shoulder and the importance of the Discs is one of these thing - except, it was Dream that used them against Tommy, and Tommy put them on the side many times, and was only obsessed with them, and I mean the REAL meaning of the word "obsession", when he was at his lowest - in the post-exile and pre-doomdsay period of thime. They were never as "cursed" of an item as the fandom wants them to be.
And, again, if Tommy had burned the Discs, it would have not solved anything. Dream would have just went on to hurt Tubbo.

A Genshin Impact Hermitcraft AU Idea, God Help Me
Last year, on September 28, a particular gacha rpg game was released and I, occasionally regrettably, fell straight into playing it. In honour of the fact that this will mean I have lasted nearly a whole year (I got the game a week after bc uni) determinedly not spending any money on Genshin whilst also trying to roll good characters…here’s a bunch of Hermitcraft Genshin AU ideas that I initially came up with at roughly 2.40 am.
The general idea of this AU is that the Hermits end up in a new world that has Genshin-esque mechanics, on top of the usual Minecraft shenanigans. So, Visions and stuff. Also, we’re gonna just…briefly ignore the actual Genshin lore in regards to how Visions and Gnosises (Gnoses?) come about, for this one.
Post-S8, the Hermits are travelling to a new world, ready for another season.
The moment they arrive, it is clear to them all that…something is different. Something is vastly different with this world, for all that it appears much like the previous servers that they have lived in and travelled to. There is something of a…presence to it, in a sense.
When the Something Different doesn’t appear immediately, being the demigods/almost-deities that they are, they go about their days, setting up starter bases, gathering the basic resources and tools, the usual beginnings.
Things change when Doc wakes up one morning after a hard day at work building a new redstone machine, to find a small glowing chess piece lying next to his head, crackling with an ethereal purple light
Upon picking it up, he feels a burst of energy, almost like that one time in the previous world where he and Ren built a lightning-summoning tower
However, the changes it has wrought become apparent later that day when Scar comes out of nowhere with the recording of a creeper’s tell-tale hiss and explosion, and Doc sends him flying backwards with a startled blast of lightning
At first, they chalk it up to ‘Something Funky With Doc’s Current Project’, but after some tests, some experimentation to confirm if it was a one-off reaction…they end up confirming that they may have found out what the Weird Thing about this season’s world is
The duo go to Xisuma with their findings, and, to their collective surprise, X can’t find anything blatantly broken in the server’s code, but he does find a few interesting lines within.
By all appearances, this is not a glitch, but simply an intended feature of the server
Seven lucky hermits, designated as Archons in the server code, will receive a Gnosis, an artefact of elemental power that the server can assign, given to the ‘player who best suits the element’
The server notes speak of how the power granted (and represented through the chess-piece-shaped item) will grant the receiver the capability to shape the land around them
By random chance, other players on the server will also be gifted a Vision, a somewhat lesser artefact that will still grant them a form of elemental power
Given that the Hermits are practically gods in their own right, considering they are already capable of shaping the worlds they arrive in as they see fit…are more curious than worried, at this point
They agree to keep an eye out, to see how chaotic the sudden acquisition of elemental powers will turn out
The next person to receive a Gnosis is Grian, who delights in the bursts of wind he can use to buffer his flight, gliding across the server with naught but the turquoise magic the server has seen fit to grant him
After that, most of the Hermits soon receives some sort of Elemental power from the server
A Summary of Who Gets What (That I can think of so far):
Doc: [Electro Archon]
Can summon lightning, without need for a trident, a thunderstorm, or a machine that can generate an ongoing thunderstorm for as long as its activated
Can also generate an Electro shield, though it does require his active concentration to maintain for longer than a few seconds. This shield appears like a charged creeper’s aura, except purple
Capable of generating a thunderstorm at will, but rarely does it on account of mob spawning dangers
Has found that by channelling a low level of Electro energy, he can in fact power redstone machines just by tapping them/being in close proximity to them
This has proven to both be a blessing and a curse, considering that on occasion, when startled, he has short-circuited some of his machines
Grian: [Anemo Archon]
Generally, uses his powers as a free rocket boost for flying around the server
Upon finding out that he can use the Anemo energy to create pockets of energy that can boost flight, he takes to leaving them all over the server, in convenient locations to make flight that much more efficient
Yes, he absolutely sets up a fancy elytra course that makes use of his flight-boosters to send players rocketing around a course at breakneck paces (poor Scar experiences many instances of kinetic energy)
Bdubs: [Geo Archon]
Suddenly, making mountains and other works of major terraforming is a lot easier
Certainly, he still prefers to sculpt them and detail them by hand, but bringing the basic shape of the mountain forth by brandishing the power of Geo is something that he can do with ease, in this world
A new shop pops up in the shopping district rather quickly after this realisation: Bdub’s Landshaping Service, Now offering quick terraforming at a budget price! (it is, in fact, a service that makes him quite the amount of money)
And when he wants to sleep, without the other hermits breaking his bed? A glowing shield of steadfast golden magic takes care of that.
Gem: [Dendro Archon]
The patch of the server that Gem has claimed for herself quickly springs to life as plants of all varieties grow to surprising proportions, energised by the power that she now can radiate
The effect is most notable in and around her home, of course, but wherever she travels, the plants grow more vibrantly for days afterwards
Adding a forest of birch around her house takes little more than a thought, a fact she uses to prank some of her friends, those who in the last world were rather vocal about their dislike of non-stripped birch
Another power Gem finds herself with is the ability to summon vines even without a surface for them to initially grow upon, and thus it is not uncommon to see Gem building or resting in a hammock of woven vines
Cub: [Cryo] (cannot make up my mind if I think he’d be Archon material or not)
Gathering powdered snow has never been easier, as instead of waiting for a storm to form and last longer than it takes a Hermit to get into the nearest bed, he can simply clap his hands together and a lump of snow shoots out from just above his shoulder.
It does hurt, getting hit by the sudden snow barrage that Cub is now capable of, but except for the occasional snowball fight, his newfound snow-creation ability is used for making increasingly more insane mob farms and snowy building decoration
False: [Pyro]
The magic her Pyro Vision grants her doesn’t become apparent, not for a while, until she visits the Nether for the first time in this world
A mis-swing in a bastion, and suddenly a horde of piglins and hoglins are chasing after her, and there isn’t enough time to pillar away.
She readies her sword and shield, ready to fight, and suddenly her blade crackles to life with bright flames, unlike the fire aspect enchantment in that it actually is on fire.
Every attack she lands, whilst her sword is alight, seems to invigorate her, return strength and stamina that was lost when she had first tried to flee the enraged inhabitants of the bastion
Xisuma:
The admin is one of the few to not receive a Vision or a Gnosis
Quietly, he does admit to being relieved, considering his powers as an admin are already much greater than that of the other Hermits, for all that they are still his equals
And then, one day, whilst X is placing his diamonds to sign up to one of Grian’s newest competitions, he feels a rush of foreign magic, so unlike the familiar ordered pulses of server code
The blast of wind that comes with a swing of his sword, much later whilst he is mob-farming, is greatly surprising, if not unexpected.
The funny thing about all these new powers, granted by the server itself in the form of artefacts that can easily sit in one’s palm, is that for all they are miraculous on their own, the natural capabilities of the Hermits are already enough to rival them
In the hands of an ordinary person, an ordinary player, the powers from this world would bring them close to the near-omnipotence of Creative, could even be the driving force of server-wide conflict.
Powers such as these, while they can build great things, can so easily be used to destroy, to cause war and destruction, and in other realities, they have.
Perhaps whatever trick of fate that caused the server to be capable of granting these powers hoped to create that conflict, to see what would happen when only a few of their number were gifted such strengths.
Later, when the initial surprise and rush to test out the limits of the server’s granted magics dies down, Zedaph approaches Xisuma, one of the few to not possess an artefact of elemental magic, with an observation
Zedaph notes that, from his studies of the Hermits’ new powers, almost all of them are oriented vastly towards combat, whether they be summonable blades of frost, elemental shields, or even the ability to soothe aches and hurts
And even though the Hermits have all found ways to make those powers work in the ways that they wish them to, it does not take away from the fact that the likeliest original purpose of this server’s magic was for fighting
Any other server, any other group, Zedaph quietly says, and there would more than likely have been bloodshed, given the inequality in the range of power granted
At the end of the day however, unexpected gifts of power or not, the Hermits, at their core, are a group that creates and innovates, a band of friends that shape entire worlds with naught but their own ideas and willpower, and regardless of what powers they now possess in this particular realm, that will not change.

Due to popular demand (aka one person <3), I will show you guys
My minecraft house
Now, before we continue, I want you guys to know some history. The first house I built in this world was very tiny, just enough to hold my basic necessities. I planned on expanding it many times, but the problem was that I built right ontop of a huge cave without realizing, and it was on a very small island, so almost every day without missing a beat a creeper would blow up my house. Since it was a tiny house, that meant that the creepers would always destroy at least half my stuff, which meant I never had any resources to expand because I had to keep repairing it.
So naturally, when I moved away to someplace less cursed my first instinct was to go big
Thus, lo and behold, I give thee:
Tumblr media
BIG BOY HOUSE
With three floors, a porch and a basement, is it my first and most ambicious minecraft project. I've built bigger stuff in creative mode, but those all followed tutorials and well. Were in creative mode - this is my base on survival mode, and it's huge, so I am quite proud of it!
The only problem is that is has a lot of empty space, since I don't have a lot of stuff to fill it yet. But I'm working on it!
First floor:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Has a smoker, two large chests, a barrel and a crafting table, as well as a staircase, which I plan on rebuilding so it's a littke more elegant(?) and a ladder I added for flair. It also leads to the basement, which I will cover in another post since this one reached picture limit xD
It also has the love of my life, the hugeass window
Tumblr media
Hidden behind the rosebushes is the river I showed in the River Bar Post. It goes around the whole house :D
Moving on to the second floor is a little awning with flower pots which I want to add wool carpets to. It's supposed to be a place to chill and vibe :D
Tumblr media
The second floor also holds what was meant to be the main bedroom when I first built the house, buuuuut.....
Tumblr media
It's way too big for that. I tried to fill in some soace with the lilacs and the carpet, but it's still way to big of a room just for the beds. I plan on either dividing this room in two, or just filling every single nook and cranny with plants. Both work for me xD
Moving on to the third floor, which I nicknamed the comfy room
Tumblr media
It has a glass ceiling and a crafting table on the corner which got cut out of the screenshot. My idea for this room was a big carpeted room with lots of pillows that it supposed to be exactly that - a comfy place for naps and such. There are no pillows in minecraft sadly, so I pretend the beds are pillows xD
Directly connected to the comfy room and accessible via a door that got half cut off in the picture is the porch (is that the right word?)
Tumblr media
Not much here yet, I want to improvise a swing or a bench here but for now it has a carpet.
If you open the fence gate on the other side you will find a ladder, which leads to the top of the house
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I put lanterns and some carpet up here to give it a more cozy feel. From up here we can see my mini pier and the village I live next to! You can also see my bridge, which is very cute, and the farm which is very disorganized and such, it was cut off from the picture. Sadly the bridge is right beside the farm so it got lost too.
My Big Boy House: that's it for this post! Next: The basement, the rain cover, the back of the house and maybe the bridge! Might pay the village a visit too :D

Danganronpa V2 Minecraft Server
Warnings: Minecraft
Words: 1015
Genre: Stupid
Requested: No
Lmao I’m sorry y’all I’ve been playing too much Minecraft
Hajime Hinata:
Please help him. He just wants to play the dang game. He’s constantly getting pranked. Once he came home from mining to find at least 50 cats in his base. People like to follow him around because he actually tries to make progress and not just mess around. Got an Elytra before anyone else did and now everyone tries to kill him so they can have it.
Nagito Komaeda:
Has the most diamonds but has also died the most times. Beat the Ender Dragon but then was immediately killed by an Enderman. People team up with him when they want a challenge because he just attracts mobs for some reason. He was the one who put the cats in Hajime’s base.
Gundham Tanaka:
Has ALL the animals! A sheep for every color of the rainbow, tons of horses that he bred, cats, dogs, birds, you name it. Has an army for when he goes out at night. He pretty much never has to use a sword because his animals just kill all the mobs. He’s literally OP- if you try to kill him, you’ll immediately be swarmed. Avoid at all costs.
Kazuichi Soda:
He built all the redstone farms that everyone uses. His entire base is automated. Also has a double bed for when Sonia visits for farming, but she always brings her own bed. He has elaborate traps all around his base that he leads mobs and unsuspecting victims into. People will give him all their extra redstone.
Twogami:
Doesn’t really play that much, but when he does he pretty much just plays like Hajime. He has a hidden base that he keeps all his valuables in but will totally help you out if you ask. He defends people getting attacked but is really bad at combat. Mostly just keeps to himself, though.
Teruteru Hanamura:
“What if I put my minecraft bed next to yours? Haha just kidding.... Unless?”
Anyway, this boy has fields of wheat, chickens, and cows for ingredients. He’ll give you food if you trade him diamonds. He spends days out in his wheat fields and then dies because it’s not lit up enough at night. Absolutely screams every time he gets blown up by a Creeper.
Nekomaru Nidai:
He spends hours at Kazuichi’s experience farm just to go home and enchant every weapon and piece of armor he has. He’s always fully decked out in enchanted armor and will give stuff out for free if you’re lacking. He built an arena specifically for fighting other players. The only people that use it are him and Akane.
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu:
He just wants to vibe but Peko won’t stop following him!! He will hide in people’s bases until they come back and then kill them and take their stuff. He’ll give it back if you ask nicely, though. He has a pretty cool base that he mostly built on his own and he spends a lot of time standing at the highest point of it and just looking over everything. Doesn’t even have a sword because Peko just kills everything for him.
Peko Pekoyama:
Literally just follows Fuyuhiko everywhere. Has a really overpowered enchanted netherite sword but no armor. Not like she needs armor, though. She doesn’t have a base of her own and just shares one with Fuyuhiko. She’ll come to kill anyone who approaches the base even if Fuyuhiko invited them over.
Akane Owari:
Spends most of her time either fighting Nekomaru in the arena or being AFK because she’s eating. She’s really good at PVP so everyone avoids stealing her stuff. Her house is made of dirt and is only big enough for a chest, bed, furnace, and crafting table. It keeps getting blown up by creepers.
Chiaki Nanami:
I mean, obviously she’s gonna be the best at the game. Spends hours strip mining and would’ve been the first one to beat the Ender Dragon if Nagito hadn’t accidentally fallen into the stronghold. Like, she showed up maybe five minutes after him. She was the first to beat the wither, though. Her base is absolutely amazing and she has at least three people around her asking for help at all times.
Sonia Nevermind:
She’s having such a good time. She likes to visit Gundham’s base and look at the animals. Once she hit Gundham on accident during a trade and got DESTROYED by like 12 dogs. Tried to build a castle but it’s more like a cobblestone box. Got all of her diamonds from people just giving them to her.
Hiyoko Saionji:
Will scream any time a mob comes anywhere near her. Will kill you like 5 times for fun and then cries when you hit her once. Taunts people in the chat. She kills all the peaceful mobs she sees. Her base is really cute though, with flowers everywhere. She asks Mahiru for help a lot but Mahiru has no idea what she’s doing most of the time.
Mahiru Koizumi:
She loves to just walk around and look at the landscapes. Definitely has RTX installed to make the game look better. She takes so many screenshots that she’s lost track of them. She sometimes gets so far away from her base that she doesn’t know how to get back and ends up dying.
Mikan Tsumiki:
She relies heavily on potions. She spends most of her time collecting ingredients and making farms for them. She’ll hit you with a splash potion of healing if your health is low. If she spots someone from a distance, she hides. Runs away from mobs despite having like 5 potion effects on her at all times. It’s common to see someone type “Mikan, heals?” in the chat.
Ibuki Mioda:
She spends hours making songs with note blocks. Like, there’s a whole area of the map that people just call the Music Area because Ibuki filled it with note blocks. Is totally chill around Creepers but will scream if she sees an Enderman. She was the first one to kill Hajime and get his elytra so now everyone is after her too.
Thanks for reading my garbage, y’all :)

Man, I’m wistfully thinking about how Skyblock just CONSUMED my life from 2018–mid-2020. And I don’t want that knowledge to go to waste.
So here’s a COMPREHENSIVE LIST on how to develop your Vanilla Skyblock world (under the readmore):
Spawn in and break enough logs from the tree to make a crafting table and a wooden pickaxe. Don’t destroy any extra logs—you don’t want all the leaves to decay just yet.
Place down a crafting table (to the left of the chest) and craft a wooden pickaxe. Go in the chest and grab the ice and lava bucket. Make the cobble generator, with water flowing on one end onto the bedrock, and on the other off the edge.
Mine enough cobble as you need. Craft a lot of them into cobble slabs, and craft some into cobble walls. Make a furnace as well, and place it down (to the right of the chest).
Swim slowly down the water stream and place a pillar of cobble 3 blocks tall beneath the bedrock, then build a whole platform from there. The platform should be made of cobble top slabs, with cobble walls around the outside. Make sure the platform surrounds the bottom of the island.
Return to what’s left of the oak tree and break the rest of the logs. Try to collect the saplings as the leaves decay (if you’re not careful don’t worry, they should fall onto the platform below).
Smelt a piece charcoal for torches. Light up what you have—the top of the island where the tree was, and the platform below.
Mine out the island, you’ll need the dirt for later. Replace the dirt at the top of the island with cobble slabs. (To preserve the cobble generator, use full cobble blocks. You can make it look as neat as you like.)
Build a large platform at the top of the island. Equally space out spots in the platform to put dirt blocks (5 blocks apart). This will be your oak farm. Later in the future, it will be your dual oak/birch farm.
Smelt up more charcoal for torches. Now you can get enough torches to light up the whole tree farm. (I recommend going into a creative test world to find a torch placement pattern which uses torches as sparingly and calculatedly as possible.)
Grind cobble and wood to prepare for a big expedition. You’ll be bridging over to the sand island. You’ll be using cobble slabs, walls, and torches, and you’ll be starting on the bottom platform (so you can get under the sand island).
Bridge over. Use torches calculatedly (like before). Make a cobble platform under the sand island just as you did for the main island before. Place torches under every block sand is going to fall on.
Place a torch on one of the bottom blocks of sand and let it all break on the torches. Collect the sand and cactus. Empty the chest and break it. Leave the platform be, this will be the “sand platform”.
Go back to the main island to grind cobble. The cobble is for a new platform you’ll build out by the sand platform to build a nether portal.
You should also already be regularly farming oak trees to get a regular supply of apples—this will be your food source.
Make the nether portal and light it on fire using lava and the wood it catches on fire. Travel to the nether and bridge over to the nether island. Grab the stuff in the chest and break the chest. Take it back with you to the overworld.
Among the things you returned with, the nether chest gave you a birch sapling and your second block of ice. Make an infinite water source and expand your oak farm to have birch trees on a different side as well.
Go back out to the sand platform and start building another platform where you’ll have a mob farm in the sky. This will be a very intensive process which requires a lot of cobble and some back-and-forth to get an infinite water source for the eight water source blocks flowing at the top.
Finish your mob farm and start grinding. The mobs you’ll find will be zombies, creepers, spiders, and skeletons, with some rare zombie villagers, witches, and chicken jockeys.
The zombies will give you rare drops of iron ingots, carrots, and potatoes. The witches will give you your first redstone, as well as glowstone and glass bottles. The skeletons will give you a steady supply of bows and arrows without you needing to craft your own.
Build a sugarcane farm and a mushroom farm (I prefer one which grows giant mushrooms). Also, if you want, you can build a small lake with the infinite water source and go fishing to switch your food source over to fish.
Go back to the nether with a lot more cobble and build a nether mob farm too. Build it in a nether fortress (compare it in a normal creative world with the same seed) so you get zombie pigmen, wither skeletons, blazes, and magma cubes.
Oh shit did I say zombie pigmen? Sorry, I haven’t done this in 1.16 and beyond yet. I’ve only played this far in Skyblock in 1.11–1.15. (Do zombified piglins work the same way?) Modify these for your particular game update and your playing habits.
Anyways the zombie pigmen would have given you your first gold. The blazes will give you blaze rods for a brewing stand. Use both to get golden apples and potions of weakness.
(Although this wasn’t intended when Skyblock was first created back in Beta 1.7, you can still cure zombie villagers using only the items given to you. You get the brewing stand from blazes, the glass bottles from witches, the fermented spider eye from spiders, mushrooms and sugarcane, the gunpowder to make the potion splashing from creepers, and the golden apple from gold nuggets and oak trees.)
Head back to the overworld. Do you already have a large flat platform which you can stand a good distance away from? The sand platform? Great! Break all the torches and let mobs spawn there.
Build a watchtower and shoot off any mob that’s not a zombie villager. (Be careful of endermen and zombie hordes.) Once you find a zombie villager, be VERY CAREFUL. Single them off in a boat and cure them. You’ll need to cure two zombie villagers.
At this point, this is the limit of my knowledge with Skyblock. The last time I got this far, my world corrupted and I would never get this far in a Skyblock world ever again. So the rest of this will be all propositional.
Breed the villagers and make a rudimentary trading hall. Use these villagers to get your first basic items which were only accessible through trading: diamond armor, diamond tools, lapis lazuli, redstone, glass.
Get super kitted out: enchanted diamond armor and gear. Your island should look top-notch when you build all the other possible farms: wheat, carrot, potato, beetroot, cactus, iron.
Expand the island some more until you find a wandering trader. Get as many items you can’t normally get in Skyblock: saplings, flowers, red sand, and especially podzol (can be converted into dirt, a now renewable resource).
Finally, you can do the one thing that I’ve refrained from mentioning this entire time: build a house. Except not just any house. Build the biggest mansion you can imagine. I mean you’ve pretty much reached endgame! Enchanted diamond armor, 99% completion on your island, you can surely take on as monumental a task as a mansion.
Plan it out, and devote weeks and months to building this mansion. When you’re finally done, take a step back and relax. You’ve done it. You’ve beaten the game. You’ve done everything you can in a vanilla Skyblock world. And all by yourself.

- word count: 1.4k
- characters: hinata, kageyama, tsukishima, yamaguchi, yachi
- a/n: i made half of this on mobile and half on my laptop so,,, also i got way too immersed in this bc all i do is play minecraft (even tho i suck) anyways, enjoy this mess!! also ty to ppl on the rircus rerver for helping me with minecraft usernames!!
tsukishima made a server for y'all after you bribed him (also some of his viewers begged him to)
kageyama and hinata teamed up and killed tsukishima, not even a minute in
and you were just there like “:o chat yall seeing this shit”
yall spawned in near a birch flower forest biome thingy and you and yachi bolted over there
you asked yachi to be your minecraft gf and she accepted
as soon as she said yes, kageyama and hinata killed tsukki again lmao
you and yachi moved to a different voice call bc hinata kept screaming about how tsukki was after him now
you guys began planning on having a cute little cottage core home together
you go mining while yachi makes a farm + gathers animals
yachi screamed of joy when she found a chicken family
she also screamed when she happened to find a pink sheep
you guys are just talking about random stuff and were just vibing for the rest of the stream
the next time you stream on the server, you see that yams made a cute little spawn place and yams took you on an adventure to go see his home in the snowy mountains
tsukki logged on and you and yams proceeded to go try to find his home despite tsukki tell you to fuck off
for some reason, he starts giving you guys clues on where he’s at
you’re all like “omg friendship 🥰″
but in reality, someone donated like 50 bucks for him to kill you and he’s taking this opportunity to lure you guys
it turns night really fast and then a group of zombies gang up on you
you end up dying like four times before you baby rage and give up
you leave the voice chat and go back to being a wee farmer waiting for your lover, yachi, to log on
instead of yachi, you get hinata </3
hinata logs on and he immediately calls you
“hinata-”
“y/n!!! do you wanna go to the nether with me!!”
“no ❤️″
you hang up but then he calls you again
“i’ll give you a two pigs, i know you and yachi are looking for some”
thirty minutes later, hinata has gotten you lost in a soul sand biome
only plus from this trip is that you got a lot of glowstone
you ended up having to call kageyama and ask him to come save you bc yams was mining god knows where and tsukishima would never help you bc he’s a bully <3
kageyama was calling both of you dumbasses in the vc
hinata bc hinata is hinata and you for following hinata blindly
then he got lost somewhere else in the nether <3
and now the three of you were fighting as you ran away from ghasts and skele bois
“it’s the short height for me”
“it’s the abandonment issues for me”
“it’s the need to one up each other in every situation because y’all insecure for me”
this whole time your chats were telling yall to just look at coords so you could find each other but you guys are illiterate </3
yachi finally logged on and joined your call and she saved yall bc she was watching your stream this whole time and was like wtf
the vc was SILENT as yachi led y’all to the nether portal
you muted yourself in shame and starting thanking recent subs and just the chat in general
everyone in chat: ugh we stan a dumb queen 🤩
another time you go on the server, hinata has accidentally started a war against tsukishima and so like every five minutes you would see smth like “tinysun was blown up by moonshima” or “moonshima was shot by tinysun using schlong” (yes hinata is that guy)
speaking of names
yall clown kageyama every five seconds bc he made his ign ‘Setter_soul_x’ (bc his streamer name was taken </3)
he gets pissed off a lot and leaves the server bc everytime you guys start a fight, someone will be like “okay Setter_soul_x”
yachi has “yacchan” meanwhile yams had “yamagucci” and you can can decide whether you have a clapped ign or not
now to just talk about general stuff
i feel like yams and tsukki would be those bitches who make exp farms and shit
like one day you’ll log on and you’ll ask them where they’re at and they’ll be like “oh we’re making an enderman farm in the end” or “we just finished a villager breeder” or some shit like that
yachi would stick to farming and being a cottagecore gay and you would be the one to do most of the mining and shit
sometimes she’d follow you when you go to fight someone or just bother them
hinata made a giant netherrack meatball at spawn and inside of it is just pure hell
everytime someone tries to go in it, they get blown up by a creeper or smth bc its so fucking dark in there bc the dumbass forgot to put some type of light source in there
kageyama’s house is just a cube-shaped hole he mined somewhere and everytime he wants more space he’ll just expand the cube
you and tsukki end up teaming up together at one point and made a railroad to everyone’s homes and to different biomes
when everyone fought the wither, tsukki, yamaguchi, and hinata did most of the work you and kageyama were far away watching like “damn thats crazy” (yachi wasnt streaming at the time and just told you guys she didnt care if you did it without her)
when it was time for the ender dragon, it was a whole different story
tsukishima and yamaguchi were hella prepared and were calmly going around destroying the end crystals while you, hinata and kageyama were just trying to get away from all the angry endermen
yachi was just placing water down and making cobblestone huts y’all could hide under
once tsukki and yams finished destroying the end crystals, you joined them in shooting down the ender dragon
kags and hinata were still fighting endermen
like all you’d see is “ __ was slained by Enderman” messages as you listened to tsukki and yams talk to each other calmly
yachi said she wasnt fighting no dragon bc fuck that shit
one y’all did kill the dragon, hinata tried to claim the dragon egg and tsukishima yelled at him for like ten minutes bc hinata didnt do shit
and while tsukki fought with hinata and kageyama, you and yachi followed yamaguchi into an end gateway
you found an end city but then you fell outta the world </3 dont ask how, you just did
you decided to log off and that was that
another time you logged on, tsukki invited you to go with him to a woodland mansion bc he got a map
you thought he was being fishy but you went anyways bc content
everything was going well, you guys traveled there together, found a desert temple along the way, you tamed a cat, tsukki talked about conspiracy theories with you
but then you got to the mansion and you lost him
you were like tsukki where tf you’d go and he would tell you a place and you would go and he wasnt there
you were about to cry bc so many mobs were after you and u just boxed yourself into a little dirt hut in the corner and you kept yelling at tsukki in vc
he muted himself bc he was laughing his ass off at your pain heart been broke so many times
he finally came to get you bc apparently he already moved upstairs and just as you calmed down, tsukki betrayed you
you walked in front of him in fear of mobs hitting you from behind but tsukki ended up hitting you with a sword to death </3
you immediately logged off and then cried to your stream about fake friends for like ten minutes while listening to the inside out soundtrack
your chat convinced you to log back on and hesitantly joined the vc again and tsukishima apologized while trying to hold back laughter and told you that he put your stuff in your chest and you were like 🥺🥺🥺
overall the server is very chaotic but kinda nice bc family bonding ❤️ and even tho tsukki is a dick he along, with yams, help you and yachi out sometimes so your cottagecore aesthetic thrived

My father has built a villager breeder in the family world. The thing about the family world, though, is that we live in a castle atop a mountain. Doesn’t seem like a problem, until you realize that the actual structure part of the base is a bunch of forty block tall towers. The villager breeder is at the top of the tallest, for reasons only my father knows. This means that, as they’re born, infant villagers immediately drop thirty-seven blocks into a pool of water, are trapped in a box having never even seen their parents, and wait there to be brought into the Dungeon. The Dungeon is a bit of an ongoing project of my mother’s. A few months ago, she started playing the block game for the first time ever. Her first project, she immediately decided, would be to take down an entire mountain and convert it to her (entirely cobblestone, with the roughest shape for a base you ever did see, and a roof that reaches a sharp peak in the centre) home. Well, she did it. Now, she has this strange obsession with taking down mountains, and has resolved to take down the one we live on. However, my father and I have pushed back against that, the presence of the mountain is part of the reason we chose the location (the other is a now-abandoned village, destroyed by mobs and us players alike, ransacked for beds and left to be blown up by creepers during mob hunting sessions), so she has decided that it will be acceptable to only remove most of the mountain, leaving the outside shell so it still looks nice. So, I have decided to nickname the space the Dungeon, given that it is the place for our… Employees who are definitely-not-slaves (I also refer to the dungeon as an Amazon warehouse!) and is a large dark room under a castle! We are not mistreating our villagers. They will be happy. This shall be a life of many potatoes, for I have resolved to farm potatoes on a near-industrial level in a previously unused tower. The potato tower will provide them all the food they will ever need, and the Dungeon will be safe from the world’s terrors. Never shall they fear zombies, the single-block boxes they live in will be luxurious and comfortable, and they will be near their (very extensive) family. They may be forcefully-made orphans, stolen from their parents at the moment of their birth, but they will not be unhappy. If ever they are discontent… We will take care of it.

The YTTD Cast Playing Minecraft
genre: crack / platonic relationships
warnings: n/a
bloopers: 🌳 [tba]
a/n: my good friend, alyson, and i wrote this as a collab together! she has an ao3 account that she recently started for both danganronpa and your turn to die! if you like either fandom, i 110% suggest to go check out her work/subscribe to her! she’s an amazing person so go show her some love if you can!! i recruited her a bit last minute and we spent all day yesterday writing, but this was definitely one of the most enjoyable things to write so far!
Tumblr media
Keiji Shinogi (Aka The 1st Boomer):
❏ This man has BARELY any idea how to play Minecraft at first. Hell, he even had to get Gin to help him install it on his computer. He has to learn how to even use the basic controls, and he’s constantly asking the others what certain keys do (does he do this just to be annoying? The world may never know).
❏ Once he gets the hang of the game, things go a little bit smoother, but not completely. While he may have quickly learned all of the buttons, there’s still a lot more to Minecraft such as PVP, building, mining, the bosses, crafting, etc, and that takes him an eternity to learn (don’t even get me STARTED on the Nether and the End). Without his other friends, he’d probably be stuck in the middle of the night with zero protection or tools on him to fight the mobs that spawn.
❏ He’s mostly just there for the laughs; while he’ll try to stay out of the way from his friends, he’ll show up at the most erratic times. He’ll either immediately teleport himself to someone in the middle of fighting a group of mobs or invade someone’s house and steal their stuff just for fun.
❏ While he’s not as much of a prankster as Shin, he’ll still do some of the most random actions ever, even if it’s not to annoy others. He’ll place down a random door in the middle of a room and just leave it there, or make several holes in the ground while trying to punch some grass to clear it out. When the group is on a voice call, 90% of the call is just the others yelling at Keiji to stop planting trees on their farms.
❏ He’s not one to explore, but wherever his friends are, he is. He’ll tag along with them nearly anywhere, whether they’re doing a dangerous excursion to the End or traveling across the sea, he’ll always be tagging along. He honestly doesn’t know the point of the game, but again, he’s just there for the laughs.
Joe Tazuna (Aka The Brave One):
❏ Joe has played Minecraft before, but he doesn’t care about building a pretty mansion or planting flowers. This man will live in a tiny dirt hut and beat the game. The one thing that Joe always plans on doing whenever he starts a new world is to get a dog and name them “Sven” after he watched one of his favorite YouTuber’s playthroughs one night instead of studying. He would do anything to save his dog, even if it means sacrificing his friends’ lives.
❏ When he plays on multiplayer servers, he always insists on getting the supplies and food for everyone. It’s pretty much all he does. He isn’t afraid of caves or mobs, and he won’t hesitate to run towards a creeper to stab it repeatedly. He is, however, terrified of skeletons and endermen since they always kill him. Once, he dropped down into a cave after spotting iron on the surface, only to be ambushed by a horde of skeletons. No one came to help him.
❏ He tends to forget about his hunger level until he actually starts taking damage. The same thing goes with drowning. It doesn’t help that he’s constantly sprinting wherever he goes. Because of this, he’s constantly falling into caves, ravines, and even little holes filled with water, yet no one ever helps him get out. They usually leave him behind, or they think that he’s simply lost.
❏ His girlfriend, Ryoko, hasn’t yet tried Minecraft, despite him begging for her to play with him 24/7. Although constructing a fancy house isn’t his cup of tea, he’ll do anything to play with Ryoko. He even once asked Sara to help him practice with his Minecraft dates. He needed help with his wording of asking Ryoko if he could put his bed next to hers, so Sara volunteered to assist him.
❏ Joe’s always falling into lava as well, and he gets very frustrated when it happens. Whenever he falls, he starts screaming into his mic while on voice calls (he doesn’t curse because he’s cool like that), yet still, no one comes to help him. Sara only says “teleport to me!” but it’s always too late. Keiji once offered to help him, but Joe declined, saying he didn’t trust or like him since he’s creepy towards Sara.
Q-Taro Burgerberg (Aka A Minecraft Veteran):
❏ Besides Joe and Gin, Q-Taro surprisingly knows the most about Minecraft. He used to play it a lot when he was younger before he started getting into baseball, so he knows the basics such as crafting and mining. Despite not picking up a controller in years, he still knows all of the mechanics the game has to offer as not much has changed when it comes to the controls.
❏ What HAS changed, however, is literally everything else in the game. All of the major updates over the years have nearly changed the game completely, including the Nether, the End, the villages, even the ocean became useful. He doesn’t realize this at first until he goes into the Nether and sees that it’s completely changed (He’ll stand there for a moment, wondering why the caves haven't been updated but the Nether of all things has).
❏ He’ll have to completely relearn the game, having Gin teach him all of the new mechanics such as elytras, banners, shields, etc, and all of the new structures including ruined portals, pillager towers, shipwrecks, etc. He’s always confused on call, constantly asking what a certain block is or yelling into his mic, “Uhh, I found something!!”
❏ One thing about Q-Taro is that he loves to mine. It’s the one useful thing that hasn’t changed all too much, so he can still help out and gather ores for everyone else. Although, he has to have the best armor out of the rest of the group or he might just commit theft. When he learns about Netherite, however, he refuses to wear it; he doesn’t want to admit that diamond isn’t the best in the game anymore, although no matter how many enchantments he puts on it, his armor will never be as good as netherite.
❏ In all honesty, he forgets the majority of the information that Gin tells him. Even after all of the warnings that Gin gives him to ‘not punch everything he sees’, he still punches everything he sees. He’ll run up to something new and whisper vaguely into the mic, “I’m gonna punch it.” And before Gin can scream for him not to, he’ll give the new block or mob a nice good smack. Beehives, llamas, polar bears, and pandas are prime causes of Q-Taro’s many deaths in the game. Regarding the new mobs, he encounters hostile ones a lot. He’ll often forget to sleep (despite everyone else yelling at him to go to bed) when he’s down in the caves, and he’ll emerge from his hole at night only to see 5 different phantoms flying in the air trying to murder him.
Alice Yabusame (Aka The Sailor):
❏ Alice is a rather frustrated player. Nothing ever goes his way when he plays, and he’s constantly cursing on voice calls. His sister, Reko, sometimes kicks him from the calls to keep Kanna and Gin as innocent as possible (although they don’t really care, and Gin sometimes picks up on Alice’s bad behavior himself when he gets mad).
❏ Similar to Joe, he’s an explorer. He loves exploring the ocean (especially the water temples), but his cheerful vibe suddenly switches into a pure, satanic rage once he starts drowning. He gets too cocky sometimes, though. Once while he was looking for an End City in the End, he lost control of his Elytra and flew into the void, cursing and screaming in fury the entire way down. The same exact thing happens whenever he falls into lava and loses all of his belongings; if anyone were to make fun of him when he died, he would craft a sword and kill them without any hesitation out of pure spite.
❏ He would try building a house next to Reko to get a bit closer with her, but once, he went out mining, and when he came back, his house was on fire. He then discovered that Shin was the one who set his house ablaze, so whenever Alice sees the troller, he grabs a stone sword and attempts to kill him (since he’s poor), but Shin is almost always in creative mode, which angers him more and only causes him to scream swear words into his microphone. He begs Sara, the one who created the server, to ban him, but Sara’s excuse is always, “he’s just having fun, which is the whole point of this server.”
❏ Since his house is always being destroyed, he usually makes small bases inside of caves or mountains to avoid Shin, but somehow, the troller always finds them and burns them down or blows them up, so he’s constantly on the run from him. He also does stuff alone since he doesn’t have any friends on the server (besides Nao who sometimes gives him food and supplies).
❏ Due to having to relocate nearly every time he joins the server, he rarely keeps chests on him. He has nowhere to store the treasures that he often finds in shipwrecks, sea temples, etc so whenever he runs out of inventory space he gives his materials away as gifts to his other friends, especially to Reko. Despite always giving out free resources and ores, nearly everyone in the server finds him odd, especially when he’s quiet for one moment only to be throwing a tantrum the next on the voice calls.
Shin Tsukimi (Aka The Troller):
❏ It’s no big surprise that Shin is just as chaotic as he is in-game, if not more, than IRL. Despite being over 20, he often lurks around on the Minecraft forums, always learning new hacks and ways to troll the others in the shared server. For some reason, everyone has server operator on the server, so Shin’s able to switch between Creative and Survival as he pleases, although he rarely goes into Survival.
❏ His only goal in the server is to create mayhem and confusion rather than to actually be productive; he’s always quiet on voice calls (except when he giggles loudly while he’s blowing something up or creeping behind someone), listening in on the other conversations so he knows who he can terrorize next.
❏ Since he’s in Creative, the minute he joined the game he automatically spawned himself netherite armor and tools while everyone else was running off to go trample the forests for wood. He builds a secret hut, making sure no one else could find it (in the side of a mountain, underwater in the sand using a conduit, really anywhere he can hide). He has chests full of TnT, flint and steel, potions, mob spawn eggs, and redstone in case someone forces him into survival.
❏ He’s played a prank on nearly everyone in the server; his favorite target is Alice, as he rages the hardest and tries to murder him despite him always being in Creative. He constantly will throw down an invisibility potion and follow Alice into a cave whenever he goes on a mining trip, waiting until he’s right in front of a conveniently placed lava pool before pushing him in. He’s always heard giggling in the background during voice calls while Alice screams out strings of curses and vows of revenge, which are never followed through.
❏ Sometimes if he’s really in the mood for some chaos he’ll switch into Survival and taunt Alice on the voice call, daring him to come and catch him and murder him now that he has a health bar. This immediately catches Alice’s attention and he literally drops everything he’s about to do just to partake in the wild goose chase that Shin ends up leading him on. He gets close a couple times, but Shin always stands still for a moment before teleporting away to someone like Kanna (“Thanks Kanna!” “SHIN GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE YOU COWARD-”)
Gin Ibushi (Aka The Kid Leader):
❏ As the youngest in the group, Gin obviously is the Minecraft pro compared to everyone else. It’s one of the many games that he constantly plays when he’s not playing with his toys, and it’s a good escape outlet for him. He’s been through nearly every Minecraft update, always mastering the new skills such as flying, potion-making, and new PvP tactics as soon as the game updates.
❏ He was the original one that suggested that the rest of the group start a Minecraft server with him, although Sara was the one that managed to start it up. As soon as he spawns in, Gin’s already off doing who-knows-what to try and speedrun the game, but nearly every 10 minutes he has to stop what he’s doing and help the others out of their confusion. He doesn’t care too much about having a fancy house or not, so he usually just builds a sufficient starter house (which is actually like, 3 stories) in between his adventures.
❏ Somehow, after the first day or so, he already has the strongest armor and tools in the game: netherite. While Shin cheated and used Creative, Gin managed to find the rarest ore in the game (probably after pulling an all-nighter or two admittedly). He’s very insistent on fighting the Ender Dragon early, but everyone else is either off doing their own thing or still on iron armor and afraid of even going into the Nether despite Gin insisting he’ll ‘carry’ everyone.
❏ Gin is always the one to lead excursions off into the other dimensions. He’s very eager to finish the game (despite having done so dozens of times), and he’s always pressuring/convincing the others to go out and explore. He knows everything about the varying structures and bosses, from the Pillgar Towers to the Ocean Monuments and the Wither to the Ravager(s).
❏ Surprisingly, he does die quite a lot. Despite having played for years on end, he still makes careless mistakes even when he isn’t being trolled by Shin; he’s fallen into lava pits countless times and died to the occasional skeleton even with his netherite armor (sometimes he forgets to put it on as he leaves it on an armor stand at home so it doesn’t break). One time he was looking for a Woodland Mansion using an Elytra, following a map while flying over several different biomes at once without a second glance as he was focused on the chords displayed on the screen. When he finally realized he was about to fly right into a mountain, it was too late as he smacked right into the wall and fell to his death even after trying to put down a water bucket to save himself.
Kai Satou (Aka The Quiet Fighter):
❏ Kai hates to admit it, but he’s actually quite a fan of video games, especially Minecraft, considering he played it a bit as a kid. The moment he spawns into the map, he gets wood for a crafting table and supplies for himself, Sara, and sometimes Q-Taro. He’s usually pretty quiet on voice calls since he doesn’t really want to bother anyone, and he logs on sometimes on his own to build a fancy wood house or to get some extra supplies. Once, he logged on and saw that his house was on fire with Shin standing by it, saying taunting things in chat just to piss the loner off. Kai didn’t really care, though, since his houses don’t take him very long to build. Shin is annoyed by this, but still, he just goes after Alice instead.
❏ Similar to Joe, he’s always out hunting for food or seeds. Every time he plays, Kai starts a farm by a river, pond, or even near the ocean. Whenever someone walks on their/his own crops, Kai silently rages inside his head, but he never tells them anything.
❏ He usually goes on mining trips by himself, and he isn’t afraid of mobs or hostile surroundings. Unless Gin is off helping the others, Kai is always the first one to build a Nether portal or travel to the End.
❏ Whenever he plays, he always gets a cat or two from either the jungle or a nearby village. He likes to give them fish, and he takes his precious pets on his less-dangerous adventures. Once when he logged onto Minecraft, he saw that one of his cats was gone. He looked around until he found Shin beating his helpless bundle of joy with a stick until it died. Kai didn’t say anything to him, but he was furious on the inside. He later blew up Shin’s house with TNT after finding his hidden shack, and being an expert with laptops/computers himself, he also got Shin temporarily banned from the server, making Alice exceptionally happy.
❏ Sometimes, Kai invites Q-Taro to go on mining or exploring trips with him, and the athlete gladly accepts. Kai tells him about all the new updates that occurred over the years, even though Q-Taro never really pays attention. He’s pretty quiet whenever he talks on voice calls, so Q-Taro is always shouting for him to speak up.
Kazumi Mishima (Aka The 2nd Boomer):
❏ Mishima had never even heard of Minecraft until Nao brought it up to him one day in class. When Sara made the server for all of them to play in, he jumps into the server wearing nothing but a Steve skin, but Nao quickly helps him change it by making him a skin of his own image. Surprisingly, he got used to the controls of the game rather quickly.
❏ He wouldn’t really know what to do, and he would find Nao doing everything for him, including building his houses and getting him food and ore. He would make a lot of silly mistakes, such as mining gold with a stone pickaxe, eating raw meat, digging straight down, and ignoring fall damage. Mishima isn’t really bothered whenever a hostile mob suddenly appears either and tries to attack him.
❏ If Mishima ever stumbled upon a village, he would clap his hands in joy. He loves villagers and trading, and would even kidnap some of them via boats to experiment and test what they could do at home. Some of the others are a bit creeped out by his fascination, but Nao and Gin find it to be quite entertaining.
❏ Despite being a polite, smart teacher in person, his online persona is the exact opposite. He’s always barging into people’s homes and examining their shelters, sometimes stealing a bit of their stuff while quietly giggling on the voice call. However, he once accidentally killed one of Kanna’s parrots, and he was extremely apologetic about his mistake. He even went out in the jungle just to get her a new one despite her constantly reassuring him that it was fine.
❏ Mishima’s favorite mob would definitely be a cow. He doesn’t really understand why, but he loves their patterns and design. He refuses to kill or eat them, but he’s always on board with the idea of capturing them and bringing them home. If he ever encounters a mineshaft, he’s scurrying around the place, trying to find a name tag for his precious cows.
Tumblr media
Kanna Kizuchi (Aka The One Who’s Scared of Everything):
❏ Even though she’s rather young, Kanna has strayed away from video games for a long time. Sure, she’s heard of Minecraft, but does that mean she’s ever played it? No. But she had watched several Minecraft playthroughs on YouTube before, so she was somewhat prepared when she spawned in with everyone else. She knew the basic controls and learned pretty quickly the other mechanics and new features the game had to offer.
❏ She thought Minecraft was a rather tranquil game, and she loved all of the details and peaceful mobs that spawned around her. She loves the flowers and trees the most, constantly picking flowers and exploring the grassland excitedly on the first day. She seems to be pretty good on her own until night comes along. After spending all day flower-picking, she doesn’t realize until she starts getting attacked by the hostile mobs that its night. She’s heard frantically screaming and panicking on the voice call before her death notice appears on screen to everyone else.
❏ After that night, Kanna is terrified of the night sequence(s). As soon as the sun starts to set over the horizon, she’s scurrying inside her house or spam-clicking her bed before she’s even allowed to sleep. Despite people like Gin always reassuring her that she has armor and a sword to defend herself with, she still refuses to go out at night no matter what. She’s also always pressuring everyone to go to bed to make sure she doesn’t have to sit through the night in her house and so that phantoms don’t spawn either (even though she’s never encountered them, she’s determined to keep it that way). She’ll be quiet one moment on the call before suddenly scolding everyone to get inside and go to bed so the server can time skip to day.
❏ Kanna doesn’t exactly realize that not every mob is either peaceful or hostile. While she isn’t like Q-Taro who’s always punching the neutral mobs, she’s still unaware of certain hostile variants such as the Killer Bunny. One day while Kanna was out picking flowers for the outside of her house, Shin got the grand idea to spawn a bunch of rabbits inside of her house along with a Killer Bunny or two that he hid in her storage room. When she came home, she was rather confused and could be heard quietly murmuring on the call, “Where did all these bunnies come from..?”. Her usual soft and melancholic whispers quickly turned to shrill shrieks as she entered her storage room to put away the flowers and the Killer Bunnies, which looked like regular rabbits to her, began attacking her. Shin obviously began bursting out laughing when his invisibility potion ran out and he was standing in the corner of Kanna’s house watching her run away from the mob(s). Although, after she began sobbing quietly on the call everyone went silent, including Shin for once (although some of her sobs were overexaggerated just so she could guilt Shin for traumatizing her) as he silently noted to never troll her again.
❏ It’s not very surprising that Kanna has at least a dozen pets. She has an entire pack of dogs (which she only managed to tame after stealing Gin’s collection of bones), several different colored cats, three parrots, two foxes, and even a panda bear she managed to kidnap using Mishima’s classic boat method. She has several rooms in her house that she built purely to keep her pets in, especially the untamable mobs like her foxes. She’s actually rather creative with her rooms, always adding in small details such as scratching posts for her cats and mini trees for her parrots. Her stable for her horses is also humongous and often mistaken for a second house when people run-up to her plot. She also somehow is an expert at coming up with names on the spot and she has a nametag on her 24/7 (admittedly, Shin always secretly restocks her name tag collection that she has in her chest since they’re rather rare and Kanna is too scared to go into dungeons herself).
Nao Egokoro (Aka The Helper):
❏ Nao has obviously played Minecraft before, and she was ecstatic when Sara announced that she would be making a server for all of them. She loves making Minecraft skins, and she made skins identical to how they really look for everyone on the server.
❏ She would totally use those Minecraft house building tutorials on YouTube and would help make houses for her friends if they were struggling. Nao would also get supplies for people (especially Alice since she pities him) out of the kindness of her heart. She really enjoys picking flowers with Kanna and getting cute pets/animals for everyone as well.
❏ However, Nao refuses to harm any animal/mob she finds. She sometimes goes on mining trips with her friends as well. Since she doesn’t want to lay a blood-thirsty finger on any of the animals, she begs Alice to go mining with her for materials since she knows he’s a good fighter, and he could fend off mobs for her as she mines. Alice obviously agrees since Nao has helped him out with Shin’s antics, and he would constantly jump up behind her to stab skeletons, zombies, creepers, and even endermen. They both left the cave even happier than before, and Alice didn’t curse once when he was mining with her.
❏ Nao invited Reko to live with her, and her friend happily agreed (Reko would do anything to move away from Alice). They would go on cute trips together, and Nao would build a stable for the horses that they found.
❏ She’s pretty nervous to play the game by herself, and she always waits until someone else is on the server with her (even Shin) before she does something a bit daring. Nao is always frightful when she has to travel to the Nether, and she has to beg people to go with her out of fear.
Sara Chidouin (Aka The “Mom” Friend):
❏ Although Gin was the one who suggested that they should make a server, Sara was the one who created it. She’s been playing Minecraft for a long time (especially with Joe) and was happy when Gin suggested the idea.
❏ Sara is technically considered the “mom” friend on the server, yet she won’t give a crap about her friends’ issues. If they fell into a hole or were being attacked by mobs, she wouldn’t help them. She would let them die with zero regrets regarding her actions, as she doesn’t think it’s that big of a deal since players can respawn.
❏ She likes to use Minecraft building tutorials, similar to Nao. She’s started to memorize building patterns, and she’s even gotten more comfortable with building in general. However, she doesn’t admit that she uses them, and she likes to flex her “skills” to the others (Shin always calls her out on this with a snicker or two, but he’s immediately silenced when Sara threatens to ban him from the server for terrorizing everyone else).
❏ Even though this has already been said, she still doesn’t give a crap about the others’ issues. Alice would always come to her and beg for Shin to be banned from the server, yet Sara would shrug it off and say that he’s having fun. Deep down, she would enjoy watching Shin torment and tease Alice, even if she was annoyed when he bothered her.
❏ Sara spends most of her time on the server with Joe, Keiji, and Nao, trying her best to avoid Kai, Alice, and Shin. She isn’t scared of doing things alone, such as mining or going to the Nether, but there is one thing that she is terrified of: zombies. She hates how much damage they can do, especially when they’re crowded together in a large horde. She has to beg her friends to kill them for her since she always fails. Joe always kills them for her and taunts her, saying that she owes him back. Keiji would accidentally hit Sara, so the two of them would just run away from the zombie. Nao, of course, wouldn’t want to hurt the zombie, so the two of them would also try their best to escape the annoying mob.
Reko Yabusame (Aka The Raider):
❏ Reko is somewhere in the middle of everyone; she used to play every now and then with Alice when they were kids, but the game has updated so much that she forgot half of the mechanics at first. As soon as she spawns in, the nostalgia hits her like a truck and everything comes rushing back to her. So while the others are stumbling around, voicing their confusion into their mics, Reko’s off along with Gin to go punch some trees down.
❏ Similar to her brother Alice, she gets easily pissed off at the game. While her rage isn’t on the same levels as him, it’s still quite strong. She’ll mutter curse words under her breath, barely audible so the kids in the call don’t hear her. The farthest she’s gone is thrown her controller across her room after falling into a lava pool in the Nether while bridging, and surprisingly it didn’t break. When it comes to her brother and his rage, she’ll often mutter, “Brb.” before leaving her room and storming into Alice’s, and often a loud slap is heard from Alice’s side with no further explanation to the others.
❏ When it comes to her brother, Reko is one of the few people who can tolerate him. She helps him at the start of the game despite her reluctant groans into the mic but ditches him as soon as Shin starts harassing him. It’s not uncommon for her to have to rescue Alice when he’s running back from mining and is being chased by a horde of mobs. She’ll leave her house with only an iron chest plate on and still somehow manage to murder all of the hostiles while Alice runs inside with half a heart. Besides Gin, she’s probably Alice’s mentor the majority of the time, always teaching him new features that he forgot like potion-making and archery. Whenever he dies (which is very often, unfortunately) she can be heard mumbling during Alice’s screams, “I told you…”
❏ Reko’s favorite part of the game is the Pillager raids. For some reason, she finds it an interesting challenge for her due to the different levels that raids can spawn in. She has several different strategies, some of which she made up at the last second. Some notable moments include dropping a block of TNT on a Ravager from her tower, spawning in a large group of Iron Golems at the start of the raid, and somehow shooting a Vex with a bow. She somehow hasn’t managed to die even once during the raids, and even Gin can’t believe her skill and sheer luck when it comes to fighting. She often tags along with him when he goes on adventures, especially when it involves the Pillagers (she finds them interesting, what can I say?). It’s no big surprise when she conquers a Wooden Mansion with ease one day while on a trip with Gin.
❏ After moving in with Nao, she got to teach her pink-haired friend a lot more about the game (especially since she was away from Alice now). She often encourages Nao to step out of her comfort zone and explore, as there’s a lot more to the game than just her house. She accompanies Nao on every mining trip (except for the few times that she chooses to go with Alice when Reko isn’t on) and even takes her out to the other dimensions. She’s always watching after Nao, always standing close to her with a netherite sword in hand to murder any mob that dare come near her. Reko even ends up teaching Nao how to defeat a raid (although she was the one carrying the entire time) and it’s not too surprising when Nao joins the excursion to the End to defeat the Ender Dragon.

To Hell and Back
Chapter 28
Summary: Doc and Impulse respawn in Hels and meet a particularly familiar Evil Hermit.
Characters: Doc, Impulse, BadTimesWithScar :3
TW: None
———————
Wherever they respawned, it wasn’t their beds.
Groaning, Impulse and Doc pushed themselves off of the cracked stone which, contrary to how cold it usually was, was quite hot to the touch. Not enough to burn but enough to make it uncomfortable to continue laying on. As they sat back on their legs, they looked at each other with worry before turning their heads to scan the scenery around them. At first, they assumed that they were in the Nether, for whatever reason. But the sheer lack of disproportionately placed chunks of netherack and really any mobs at all cancelled those assumptions. They were on an island sat in a vast sea of lava, nobody else around. Looking up, the two discovered there was a sky. A very dark, red, muddy sky, but there was no bedrock at the top as far as they could see.
Doc stood, deciding to take some kind of action quicker than Impulse. He patted himself down to find his communicator but turned up empty handed with a growl.
“Impulse, is your communicator gone, too?” He asked while he looked around again for any signs of life. Nothing more than an obsidian tree behind them tipped with glowstone. With a step back, the creeper could see a portal of some kind in it, but completely unlit.
Impulse on the other hand checked over himself for his communicator but, like Doc, also came up with nothing.
“Nope.”
Putting his hands on his hips, Doc huffed. Okay, no communication with the other Hermits and they were stranded on some random island after being killed by The Lord of Darkness. Come to think of it, this could be the place where The Lord of Darkness resided. He thought back to a conversation he had with Xisuma weeks before. Xisuma told him that Hels said he was from a place lit only by fire and lava. Could this be the place? The Hels dimension? But where were the other Evil Hermits if this was the place, didn’t they have a home here somewhere?
The creeper grumbled to himself. Questioning everything wasn’t going to help him, nor Impulse, for sure. They needed to find a way off of this island and back to the overworld. He turned to Impulse who hadn’t stood yet, just watching Doc while he looked around the place. The poor guy did look a bit shaken up and that also reminded Doc….
“What happened when you opened that door?” he asked.
“Um, well there was that weird shadow creature-“
“The Lord of Darkness.”
“Right, that. Wels was just kinda staring at me but he looked really surprised. Like wide, bright red eyes. But, after a second, these huge shadowy hands just came at me and,” Impulse gestured to himself. “Went inside me. It felt like all of my organs were being ripped apart. After that, I was out.”
Doc nodded along to his recap, trying to piece together any kind of useful information from it. All he could come up with from his own experience afterwards and given their current appearances, they had no armor or weapons. Just in case, he pulled up his inventory as Impulse did the same. Yeah, no weapons, not even any food either. Knowing The Lord of Darkness, that thing wouldn’t hesitate to let them starve.
“Okay then,” Doc muttered. “Got nothing, but I think I know where we are.”
Impulse perked up. “You do?”
The creeper nodded. “Kind of, but it’s a solid theory. I think we’re in Hels.”
“....Hels like…..?”
“The dimension, Impulse.” The other nodded with an ‘oh’. “But, if that’s the case, there’s more Evil Hermits here somewhere and they're probably not nearly as nice.” Really, it set the bar pretty low to say that Helsknight was nice by any means, but whatever didn’t kill them on sight was what he was considering to be nice at the moment.
Impulse only became suddenly curious. “Weirdly enough, I….kinda wanna meet them. Imagine like yours is a red creeper,” he snickered.
“Ha ha, this is serious, Impulse. We need to find a way out of here. I’m wondering if we’ll just respawn here by jumping into the lava….”
“Oh, you’ll die, but not by lava.”
The two snapped their heads to the voice, Impulse standing and joining Doc near the tree. However, they were only overcome by surprise at the figure standing at the edge of the island.
“Scar? No wait, evil Scar,” Doc concluded.
The man snorted. “Smarter than ya’ look. Name’s BadTimesWithScar. Friends call me Oscar, but you two,” he eyed them pointedly, ”are not friends, are you.”
It was odd seeing the face of their friend look so downright cynical. All of the scars that Scar had over his face and neck were still in place on this alter ego. BadTimes was dawned in a similar outfit to what Scar usually wore, the brown jacket and creamy white button up complete with a hat. Only this one wore black and all of his clothing was tattered to some extent. Spikes littered the tops of his shoulders and the man wore fingerless gloves. It was almost like a weird punk version of Scar. But he didn’t look like he planned to play games.
“If we’re not friends, why are you here?” Impulse asked. BadTimes just rolled his eyes.
“Lord said I need to to take ya’ to Hels,” he shrugged. “You try anything fishy, I have your head. Got it?” They nodded hesitantly. “Good,” he finished with a sly grin. Really, it only made them miss the overworld more than anything.
BadTimes walked closer to the edge of the island where lava bubbled and popped on his boots. He gestured to the vast pool of lava. “Down there’s the castle, but you need wings.” He pulled elytra from his inventory, shoving them into the others’ chests. Yeah, they really wanted to go back to the Overworld. They were already beginning to miss Scar’s kind nature.
As they put on their elytra, they were surprised at how each set of sings just looked the same. BadTimes threw on his own and deep black bat-like wings spread across his back as did Doc and Impulse’s wings. Really, Impulse naturally had very dark wings but they were feathered and tipped with yellow. Doc’s wings usually were a set of one natural green webbed wing and a robotic counterpart.
BadTimes stepped aside with a sinister smirk. “After you, boys.”
“But won’t we-“
“Nope, hop in.”
Hesitantly, the creeper decided to go in first, mostly expecting the Evil Hermit to just prank them by letting themselves die in the lava. He took a running start and jumped, diving into the lava and spreading his wings when he found that he wasn’t in it for more than a second and he was falling. Giving them a few flaps, he steadied himself in the air and hovered there, noting that they didn’t need rockets. The stark difference in scenery down here was also mind boggling. He flew back up and through the lava to show Impulse that he was completely fine.
“Impulse, you have got to see this.”
Excited at Doc’s sudden wonder for whatever was on the other side, and that he wouldn’t die, he jumped in as well, BadTimes following after him. When he finally spread his own wings after falling for a second, he gasped at the scenery below him. There was greenery and a castle of some kind littering the area. If he was correct, Helsknight said at some point that nothing grew in Hels.
“I thought nothing grew here,” he commented.
BadTimes didn’t spare him a glance, his eyes also on the scenery below. “Everything down there is artificial. Just some fake greenery I put around because I hated the red. Hate plants too, but better than nothin’ I guess.”
That also made Doc curious. “Did you terraform all of this land?”
That brought a proud grin to BadTimes’s face and he held his head a little higher. “I did.”
With that, he dove down and flew towards the castle. It stood tall among burnt villages and destroyed farms of many kinds. Really, if nothing grew here, they didn’t need farms, but who was to say anyone didn’t come to the overworld once in a while to steal a few things. Doc and Impulse followed behind him. Within a few seconds, the trio landed in front of the doors and BadTimes glared at the guards who opened the doors with a growl. Doc and Impulse just glanced at each other with some form of concern set into their faces. They kept to following BadTimes, but halted their walking at the sight of who was on the throne.
“GRIAN?!” The two yelled in unison.
“Evil Grian,” BadTimes corrected. “That there is NPC Grian. Got more raw power on his own than the majority of Hels. He’s our Champion.”
NPC Grian looked towards them with a plastered grin. “Hello! My name is NPC Grian. Would you like to learn how to build a rustic house?”
Initially, the two snickered at the automated phrase, but the NPC, they found, was not red eyed like the other creatures in Hels. BadTimes wasn’t either, actually. His eyes were a bright, almost glowing, yellow-green and the NPC’s eyes were one of the brightest shades of blue they’ve ever seen on a player.
And they’ve met Wels.
Unlike Grian’s outfit or anything really similar to it, NPC Grian wore fairly formal attire. He was dressed in a black and red vest trimmed with gold and a creamy white shirt underneath which the sleeves hung inches away from his elbows. He stared at them expectantly, probably waiting for their answer.
“You say no, he’ll force you to build forever,” BadTimes whispered to them. “You say yes, he’ll go easy on you.”
They looked at each other, then meeting the NPC’s gaze. “Uh….sure?” They answered in unison. The piercing gaze lifted, a genuine smile brought onto the NPC’s face.
“I like you two!” He cheered. “That is just a test. Since you said yes, I am letting you wander around for a few hours before The Lord of Darkness tells me what to do with you.”
Well, it wasn’t building for all eternity, they thought. Impulse nudged Doc’s arm with his elbow.
“Doc, we can meet the other Evil Hermits, see what’s going on around here, get some help,” he muttered. The creeper nodded, turning to BadTimes.
“Seeing as we're allowed to roam, why don't we meet other Evil Hermits.”
BadTimes grinned, glancing at NPC who nodded, then turned back to them. “I don’t see why not.”

Note
After reading your village updates, I really wanna make a village myself, but I have no idea how to start or get villagers or what buildings I need. Advice?
Alright! This gonna be a long one, just so y’all know!
Building a Village: Scratch or Pre-Existing?
When making a village, there’s two options for building it, from scratch or modifying a pre-existing generated village. Before picking an option take into mind a few things about the two types of village you can work with.
Scratch
Easier to control
A lot more work
You have to get villagers yourself
Absolutely fun to design, or just go have fun and just build
Best for certain biomes where villages don’t spawn naturally, but you can absolutely build a village anywhere!
Pre-Existing
A little hard to work with because of the villagers that are already there.
You gotta protect and build at the same time.
Less work, more changing things up.
Only spawn in plains, savanna, taiga, snowy taiga, snowy tundra, and desert biomes.
Tips
When building or modifying your village, its best to have a plan of what you want to do, or even just an idea, but you can totally just go in blind, too.
Keep a general theme to your village, or a block palette, to keep the village looking tied together and not a mishmash of random buildings.
Populating Your Village
Villagers are the entire point of a village! This means you must either move villagers from one village to yours (Scratch), find and cure zombie villagers (Scratch), or simply maintain your village population (Scratch & Pre-Existing)
If you built a village from scratch like I did, in a biome where villages don’t spawn, you’ll have to populate the village yourself.
The way I did it for my own village was to capture and cure zombie villagers. This required many nights of searching the swamp (where zombie villagers spawn far less) around my village until I had cured at least two villagers (I cured a lot more than two, though).
Though, if you can, you could also ferry a pair of villagers from another village.
Its absolutely necessary for you to have at least two villagers if you’re populating your village from nothing. Villagers require another villager to love on, otherwise there wont be any lil baby villagers running around anytime soon.
Villagers need certain conditions before they start loving on each other, however. Willingness and an abundance of food are absolutely key.
Willingness is gained over time or can be gained through enough trading (Green sparkles are the sign that they’re willing!)
Food can either be farmed and distributed by a farmer villager or you can do it yourself. A villager requires either three bread or 12 beetroot, carrots, or potatoes before they’re ready to court their love interest.
Once they’re ready for that, they will romance each other for a while. While they’re doing this they’ll be giving off heart particles, this goes on for a while until they have a kid or disagree.
If they disagree (indicated by little thundercloud particles) the problem is likely that there isn’t a valid empty bed for the child they’re trying to have. This is easily fixed by adding a bed. Note that they’ll keep having kids until every valid bed (including yours) is claimed by a villager.
Villagers And Jobs
When you finally have a population going, you’ll notice that a lot of them will shake their head at your if you try to trade. This is because they’re unemployed, and have no workstation block to claim as their own.
This is fixed by making one of the thirteen work blocks and placing it somewhere where the villagers can access it. You’ll need one work block for each villager, as well as a bed.
Villagers have work skill tiers, rated from none, iron, gold, emerald, and diamond, which is shown on the front of the villager, hanging from their belt. The higher the rank the more stuff they’ll have to trade, and they’ll sometimes lower their prices, too!
An important tip! If you need to move the work block of a villager, DO NOT remove it yourself, as it will make the villager mad at you, and they will gossip about you. Instead, place a different workstation block of the same profession where you want to move it to, and then use either TNT or a creeper to break the block. (Note that TNT gives all items destroyed back.) The villager will retain their profession and simply move to the new workstation block you placed.
Gossip and Bells
A key item to really make your village a village is a bell! These can be obtained from weaponsmiths for anywhere from 20 to 40 emeralds, so you gotta grind for it.
Bells are really worth it, however, as they serve as a gathering point for the villagers. At the beginning and end of each day, the villagers will gather around the bell and either gossip or flirt.
Gossip is important! Villagers will gossip about how you treat them. If you hit a villager, the prices of every villager will raise, worse if you kill one. If you’re nice to them, though, and trade frequently, the prices may lower!
Another thing they gossip about is whether or not there’s an iron golem in the village. If 10 villagers gossip about getting a golem, an iron golem will spawn in the village. It’ll be a valid golem until they die or wander outside of the boundaries of the village.
Building your own village is very rewarding!! The effort spent gathering resources and building is worth it once you have a full village!
If you make any villages of your own, please, send me screenshots!
