The Flash: The Christmas Light "Fight" - CiscoxAverey

Summary: Cisco and Averey talk about the truly important part of Christmas: stringed lights.

A/N: I’ve been meaning to do a holiday/Christmas themed thing for CiscoxAverey for a long time and every year the holidays just seem to come by faster and faster so, I came up with this verrrry last minute. But it’s still the holidays, so here you go!

“Ok!” Cisco’s declaration over the low hum of machines in the Cortex pulled Averey’s attention away from the carton of Chinese food in her hands. Seemingly giving up on trying to maneuver a chunk of chicken to her mouth with chopsticks, she rolled her head on her shoulders to look at him. “When you arrive at my parents’ place, the first thing you do is...?”

“Greet everybody there or it’d be considered rude.”

“And when it’s time to eat you...?”

“Take everything that’s offered, or it’d be considered rude.”

“And before we leave?”

“Say ‘goodbye’ to everybody or it’d be considered rude.”

“There you go,” Cisco said with a triumphant nod. “You really have nothing to worry about.”

“I’m not worried,” Averey said swiftly. She emphasized her point as she rested her feet on the counter.

Cisco felt his muscles tense just slightly thinking about how Caitlin would react to the move. But how many times had he done the same thing when keeping watch over the Pipeline inhabitants? He now knew ways to speed clean that not only would make The Flash jealous, but his old college dorm, too.

“Mmhm.”

“I’m no-o-ot,” Averey sing-songed.

“O-ka-a-ay,” Cisco sing-songed back.

Their soft laughter faded back into the low hum of the machines as they continued to eat. They didn’t necessarily need to keep watch over the metas in the Pipeline. It wasn’t like they had any place to go. But Cisco hadn’t liked the idea of them being kept in what amounted to solitary confinement during the holidays. It broke his wallet a bit, sure, but he did ask if there was anything more than Big Belly Burger they wanted for a “feast.” And he did try to lighten the mood with some festive music pumped throug the area, though a few metas quickly put the kibosh on any repeats of “Last Christmas” to which left Cisco aghast.

“What kind of gifts do your parents like?” Averey asked, her cheek poking out from the mound of noodles, onion, and chicken she managed to get into her mouth.

“I’ve already put your name on the tag,” Cisco replied, setting down his chopsticks to wave his free hand in the air. “Just go along with it. They’ll love it.” Averey laughed through her nose, hunching over her carton to make sure the waterfall of noodles hanging out of her mouth didn’t fall out. The steam briefly fogged up the lenses of her glasses, making her laugh harder until she could gather herself.

“And what kind of decorators are they?”

Cisco gave her a confused look and she put up a hand while she licked the lo mein sauce off her lips. She then put her hand over mouth.

“I mean, do they put decorations up after Halloween, or do they wait until after Thanksgiving? And how much should I expect?”

“You remember Dante’s birthday party?” Cisco asked. Averey nodded. “20 times more than that. Inside and outside. My parents love the holidays. Dad makes sure he’s not out on the road so he can end the year and start the new one with mom. And mom wants as much as her family around her, too.” He was silent for a moment, looking around the room. “Especially now, I suppose. After everything with S.T.A.R. Labs...and Dante...and everything.”

He stared into his food, absentmindedly repeatedly stabbing at it with his chopsticks. It was hard enough for her to take care of the home by herself (though she’d insist she liked the space to do things her way) without his father around, but after seeing the danger Dante had been put in when Captain Cold was wreaking havoc, and how Cisco was still clawing his way back up to a reputable job in her eyes, and the frequent meta-human attacks, he couldn’t blame her for wanting to know her entire family was home safe.

He cleared his throat. “You?”

“Well, Christmas holidays falls at the time of year when it’s pretty hot outside so mum, Daniel, and I don’t decorate outside much. Anywhere under 30 Celsius is not too bad, but it’s gotten over 30 before. It’s a bonus if there aren’t any bushfires, either,” Averey said, tapping at her bottom lip with her chopsticks. “Everybody’s on the beach, or by the pool, or looking to sneak a swim in at the creek, so we’re not usually around home. Some do travel to get that ‘White Christmas’, but not a lot do. We tend to lean towards Christmas lunch being our big meal of the day. And it’s usually me, mum, Daniel, and my grandad, so not much to decorate inside, either. I have crackers for you lot, by the way.”

It took a couple of seconds for Cisco to not only realize the sudden change in topic, but also that she wasn’t referring to food.

“What about your parents and lights?” Averey asked.

“What do you mean?”

“My mum and Daniel fight about the Christmas lights every year,” Averey explained. “How to string them up. When to string them up. White Christmas lights or colored Christmas lights. When I was a kid, the fighting got so bad, I thought they’d split over it.”

“No way.”

“Really. They have strong opinions about Christmas lights.” Averey nodded emphatically; her eyebrows lifted. “I don’t know how they compromise every year. This year it’s white Fairy lights indoors and colored Christmas lights outdoors.” She slapped a hand down on the arm rest of her chair. “I swear, if more people knew that about each other from the jump, there’d be less fights this time of year.”

“I’ll go ahead and make sure I put that in my dating app profiles,” Cisco said sarcastically. Averey rolled her eyes, the corners of her lips twitching upwards into a hint of a smile. He smiled innocently back at her. As if he’d still be on dating apps while he was with her.

“You should. It’d be a right laugh, anyway. Very unique. Don’t reckon a lot of people do it, and it’s one thing to get out of the way.”

“You think it’s that important to ask when you’re dating someone?”

“It needs to be one of the things you should ask. Don’t you reckon?” Cisco stared at her. “Come on: ‘how serious do you see this getting’, ‘how do you want to raise your kids’, ‘do you want kids’, ‘where are you going to live if you move house together’, and ‘what Christmas lights do you prefer’ should be the big five questions of a relationship.” She put up a finger for each question before grasping her chopsticks again. “Seen mates drop each other over less things. For the record, I prefer white Christmas lights.”

“Uggghhh!” Cisco dramatically flopped his head back on the headrest of his chair.

“What?”

He started twisting his desk chair back and forth, putting his head to his shoulder as he looked at her. “Come on! You can’t be serious.”

“It’s classic!”

“Classically boring. What’s wrong with all the colors?”

“Nothing. But people can make them look gaudy if they’re not careful.” Averey’s nose wrinkled at the thought and Cisco found himself grinning. He shouldn’t have been surprised. She always said she hated obnoxious colors and patterns. “Like...like a circus threw up all over their house or something.”

“What’s wrong with making your house look fun?”

“There’s ‘fun’ and then there’s gaudy.” She let out a short, high-pitched laugh through her nose. “Not surprised you like them, though.”

“Are you saying I’m gaudy?”

Averey looked over his “Ugly Christmas Sweater” themed graphic t-shirt. Her face contorted in an over-exaggerated “Oh, honey” look. She said nothing else. He set down his food and grabbed the hem of his shirt in his hands, stretching it out to look at it. As if he hadn’t already done so and posted the pictures on his social media.

It had The Flash’s lightning bolt logo on it, too.

Central City had really expanded on The Flash’s notoriety since he had made his first appearance. First a drink at Jitters, then “The Flash” Halloween costumes, and now this. Barry was smug when he saw the drink available on the board at CC Jitters; he didn’t know what to do with himself when he got his first “The Flash” trick or treater; but he laughed when Cisco showed him the new holiday clothes that had been released. Then he had shook his head in somewhat embarrassment when Cisco struted into S.T.A.R. Labs with his own purchased shirt.

He’d shake his head even more when he opened his gifts on Christmas day.

“I don't know if I should be offended.” Cisco used his hands to push his hair back form his face as he settled back into his chair.

“I’m saying it matches your personality. Fun.”

“Awww, and yours matches your personality, too,” Cisco coo-ed, putting his hand over his heart.

Averey’s eyes playfully narrowed. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Ave!”

“What?”

“Your favorite subject is History!”

“So?”

Cisco dropped his head back again, closed his eyes, and let out a loud, long, fake snore. Averey removed her feet from the desktop and prodded his thigh with the tip of her right shoe.

“I’m not boring,” she said defensively. “And neither is History. Thank you very much,”

“No,” Cisco agreed, a warm smile coming to his face, “you’re definitely not boring.” His smiled widened when he saw the blush that tinged Averey’s cheeks a berry-red kind of color.

“Just...shut up and tell me what your fortune is,” Averey grumbled, setting down her carton of food. She reached for the pile of cookies, shoving a few towards him. Her head bowed, she quickly worked on the plastic wrap surrounding her own few.

“Ok, ok.” Cisco carefully settled his fortune cookies in his lap and started removing the plastic from his as well. Cracking one open, he squinted in the dim light to read it. “’Don’t take yourself so seriously’,” Cisco read aloud, “’no one else does’.” He shoved the two halves of cookie into his mouth, crunching loudly as Averey tilted her head back and let out a loud cackle. A smile of amusement came to his face. “If it wasn’t so true, I’d be writing a strongly worded letter to these people. What does yours say?”

“’Be patient. Good things come to those who wait’.”

Cisco snorted. “What patience? You nearly bit off my arm just waiting for the food to be delivered.”

“I’m a growing meta, Cisco.” Averey balled up the fortune between her fingers and tossed it at him. It bounced off his shoulder and hit the floor. “I need my food.”

“Yeah, yeah. Ok, this one says, ‘Believing that you are beautiful, will make others around you think you’re beautiful, too’.”

Averey grinned, reaching out a hand to slide her fingers through his hair. “With those gorgeous locs? Of course!” she declared. “What a beaut!”

“You’re too kind,” Cisco laughed. “Even I have to agree, I do have great hair.”

Averey retracted her hand from his hair and opened her next fortune cookie. “’You have an unusually magnetic personality.’”

Cisco grabbed the arm of Averey’s chair, pulling her closer to him (ignoring her protests of “Wait! My food!” as she hastily tried to grab for it.) He smiled at her and pressed a soft kiss to her cheek. “I sure think so,” he said quietly. Averey smiled and cupped his cheek with her hand before pressing a kiss to his lips. And another. And another. Cisco pressed his forehead to hers, looping an arm around her shoulders when she pulled away. He read her next fortune over her shoulder, “’You are contemplating some action, which will bring credit upon you.’”

Her eyebrows furrowed slightly. “Soooo going ‘round to your parents for Christmas?” she asked, looking up at him.

“I’d say so. It’d give me brownie points to start off next year, anyway,” Cisco’s eyes then widened and he snapped his fingers. “Oh! And what do you need to stay away from while you’re there?”

“Your aunt’s eggnog.”

“That’s my girl,” Cisco cheered, pumping his fist. Averey laughed through her nose. “If white Christmas lights are your one flaw, I’ll just have to accept it.”

“Hey!”

“Come on. I mean...” Cisco looked around the room before getting to his feet. “Look, even this is pretty.” He made his way over ot the Cortex light switch, making a show of flipping the switch into the OFF position. All the main lights in the space went out immediately, leaving the lights from the machines on. Reds, greens, blues, and whites all twinkling and blinking in the space. “See?” He stepped over to her chair, kneeling beside her, watching as she took in all of the lights around them, the lights reflected off the lenses of her glasses.

“And there we’ve got our giant red Christmas tree,” she joked, indicating the light shining over The Flash suit. “Ok. I see your point.” She smiled at him. “Happy Christmas, Cisco.”

The Flash OC ⚡️

Leanna O’Conner 🌺

Full Name: Leanna Kira O’Conner

Nicknames: Lea, Lana, Anna, Annie, O’Conner, Doc, Darling, Flower

Age depending on the season: 32–38 (but she always looks young for her age)

Height: 5'3

Job: Assistant, Scientist, Detective and overall help of Team Flash

Shows she appears in: The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, DC Legends Of Tomorrow and etc

Relationships: Ex-boyfriend Eowells and Harrison Wells Earth 2. Currently single.

Friendships: Iris West, Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon, Kara Danvers, Barry Allen, Felicity Smoak, Ray Palmer and the list goes on

Power Set: She doesn't have powers but ends up effected by the explosion and timeline change years later. Ends up with really good sense of hearing, enhanced listening which comes in handy.

Leanna was hired by Dr. Harrison Wells to be his little helper knowing she also has a background in science and tech, with a strong heart. That moment he knew she was someone who keep an eye on.

She quickly became friends with Caitlin, Ronnie, Cisco and Hartley having other scientists and engineers of S.T.A.R. Labs join in on the fun of their friendship. Over her months, more like a year, of working with them whole team she developed a huge love and respect for them. Lea grew close to Dr. Wells having a small crush on the older man, little did she know he felt the same way. Soon enough the night of Explosion came and everything changed.

Later on Leanna was sent to recruit Barry Allen since doctor Wells wanted to keep the coma patient at Star Labs instead, she agreed knowing that they can probably help him out when the time came. 9 months later Barry woke up and training with his speed began! One night, Harrison spoke into the microphone saying, “Run Barry Run!” for the first time as his hand causally slipped onto Lea’s in a comforting grip and she smiled back, leaning into his touch.

Later on the two started rather quickly dating over that. Dinner dates, kisses shared, hand holding, smiles, late night talks and etc. Love was in the air, friendships grew, Team Arrow came to visit Central City aka Oliver, Felicity and Ray, Team Flash was at its highest point but The Reverse Flash was out there…

Later Leanna gets a feeling that Harrison is hiding something from her and she confront him about him, Harrison tells her it’s nothing. Until a few days later while she’s walking down the hallways one morning at the Lab she leans against the wall noticing how difficulty tougher the wall felt and stumbles into room in between the wall where Thawne kept his suit and Gideon. EoWells became the new name.

Leanna is in shock finding the information as Gideon greets her saying “Hello Ms O’Conner. But you are only that last name during this lifetime. How may I be of assistance ma’am?” Leanna ask her the questions she has. But before she can ask about article and Eowells real family history, her boyfriend sneaks in behind. Eowells was standing, as he sat in Lea his famous chair and questioning her action by entering the Time Vault.

Eowells grumbles and pinching his nose, “Lea my dear, I love you. I really do but I can’t believe you’ll ask Gideon AND NOT ME!”

Leanna glares, “Oh please, Harrison or should I call you Eobard? I asked you earlier and you refused to answer me! If you really wanted my help or something, you could’ve been honest…do you care about me or am I just a game in your plan to build Team Flash..?”

“I-I do care! I can’t have them knowing yet, I promise you I will tell them about who I am and we can be together forever.”

“A week.”

“I’ll execute the best to way to tell them.”

“Or I tell the team.”

“You wouldn’t dare, I can tell your bluffing my dear.”

That night lead to screams, heartache and anger for the pair. Eobard told her bits and pieces of his story, but not everything keeping it a lie and Leanna fell for it. He hated seeing her that way, noticing the light and laughter flickering out of his girlfriend that night, pulling Lea into his arms, he kissed her and begged for forgiveness. She didn’t even know what to think, but let it slide hoping he kept his promise.

As weeks went on, Eobard didn’t say a word to Team Flash BUT Leanna did! She revealed his identity to Barry, Cisco, Caitlin, Joe and even Iris as they all worked against him. Eddie died sadly. Of course they defeated Reverse Flash, Barry went back in time to see his mother and they created a wormhole in Central City. Ronnie and Barry stopped it as Leanna held Caitlin in her arms knowing how heartbreaking it must’ve been for her friend.

(Season 2–3)

Months later, everyone was working once again at Star Labs after a break from the chaotic year. Leanna worked with Joe and Caitlin most of those months as a biologist and detective. She became friends with Penny and her sister Patty, eventually finding a video tape for Barry and handing it to him. On there the video tape Eobard Thawne aka FAKE Harrison Wells confession to the murder of Nora Allen and his faults towards his relationship with Leanna O’Conner, saying that her and Barry have inherited a chunk, if not most of S.T.A.R Labs.

Everything was turning up nicely until two visitors from EARTH-2. Jay aka ZOOM and Harrison ‘Harry’ Wells. The moment Lea lay her eyes on Harry in Star Labs, she felt like she saw a ghost, like she was gonna throw up. The girl didn’t know what to think the long hours she spend standing near Wells and trying to get to know him. Cisco hated him, saying he was a grump and a total dick while Lea kept watch while working on a few test items noticing a look in Harrison Wells eyes. Anger, confusion, sadness and annoyance. The same way she felt.

She told Cisco, “Sooner or later, every man shows himself.” And Harry did. He was a little nicer in a way with Team Flash, being mostly closer to Cisco and Leanna. The three could be bickering over everything! However Harry seemed to care about her, finding her presents kind and lighten up his mood every once in a while. He barley heard her laugh or smile too often but when he did, he smiled.

One night, Leanna was closing the windows in Star Labs and checking up on the rooms before leaving it all to Harry. She stumbled into one of the labs searching for jacket that held a small brown notebook she lost earlier during the week. “Ah ha! I knew I left it in here…” She said with a small nod, noticing a small black notebook that was open with nice handwriting inside. She smiled.

Harry walked into the lab with a half nod and taking a seat near the sets of tables, grabbing his black markers and a white notepad scribbling down an idea. He felt her eyes on him and chuckled slightly, “Yes, O’Conner?”

“Is this yours?” She asked with a small half smile, taking a seat in one the stools pointing to the notebook.

He turned around questioning her query and eyes widen at the small black notebook, snatching it of the table and closing it. He glanced between the notebook and her before he asked, “What did you..see? In this case of the notebook, O’Conner.”

“Just your handwriting, and a narrative in the way you wrote a note, like a storyteller. And a name.” She replied honestly, pushing her hair out of her face. Harry questioned her knowledge cue her to speak more and she continued, “The name, Jesse, popped up on that small note.”

“…my daughter, Jesse. I told you and your team that Zoom took her, while some of his Metas came here to Earth 1. I miss her…”

“I can tell you do. I have a few nieces and nephews, I know how it feels to miss children you love…”

“Why are you so nice to me?”

“Because, Harry, you aren’t like the others. I can see the pain and anger in yours eyes after losing your light and laughter, being your daughter…I know that because I felt it. When your told the truth and something you love is taken from you..it hurts.”

“You were hurt before, weren’t you Lana?”

“Yeah. I was hurt before by Thawne, friends while I was child..even told that a woman couldn’t do much better than a man in my line of work.”

“They’re idiots.”

“What?”

“I’ve haven’t known you long but I can tell enough. Your very smart, kind, understanding and a badass with a gun. Hell, you shot down three Metas this month and cuffed them in front of the group like it was nothing. You show a lot of love and compassion towards everyone.”

“I was taught well. But don’t sell yourself short, Harry. Your a genius and gentle, a bit grumpy but it adds to your charm. You’re very understanding about a lot of things and see a lot compassion in people, notice things that they don’t.”

It was like sparks flew between that in that moment, of course they pair was attractive to each other after some time working together but this month felt stronger than ever. Harry saw a light flickering return in her eyes while Lea saw a balance of hope returning in his. Lea’s heart fluttered softly for him and Harry’s heart beats strongly for her. Two kept their emotions in control, not knowing what to say or do about this feeling..

Until Christmas time came near and Cisco hung mistletoe in Star Labs cortex, in hopes to have Caitlin and Jay along with the other couples to celebrate and kiss. But Cisco Ramon didn’t expect to walk into the Cortex, to find Harry Wells hands cupped onto Lea O’Conner’s face with such joy as her arms wrapped around his waist lean in for another sweet kiss. The two were in their own little world all smiles and no sorrow..

Cisco cleared his throat with his hands on his hips and yelled, “Well, well, well, if it isn’t The Grump and The Lady!”

The two snapped their heads towards Cisco in utter shock and slightly annoyance wanting to kick him out of the room. “Ramon!” Harry yelled with his hands still gently cupping his lady’s face, “Don’t you knock?!”

“Seriously, Cisco?!” Lea yelled at the same time as Harry did grumbling under her breath.

Cisco just laughed while also in shock wanting to know everything about this situation. He swore to not tell a soul but it didn’t last long as he told Barry, Iris and Caitlin, even Joe and Jay found out. They didn’t know how their relationship started exactly but it did and it felt just right. To add onto the dynamic, it was honestly a adorable height difference, if you ask Caitlin.

The two were inseparable, with Harry always standing behind her as his hands, placed comfortably on Lea’s shoulders as if it was the most normal thing in the world. She would smile taking one of his hands, placing a gentle kiss onto her knuckles that always tinkered with items in the lab. They weren’t big on PDA however the couple always seen giving small kisses on each other’s cheeks and forehead.

Of course, they bickered and fought like an old married couple at least twice a week, even over the smallest things.

Plenty of things happened, Harry got shot by Patty, a few metas, Jay revealed to actually be Zoom, and of course the famous trip to Earth 2 to save Jesse…Let’s just say Lea met Jesse under the worst circumstances as Zoom kidnapped her as well for high leverage over Team Flash.

Jesse screamed, ranted and cried the whole time, in the beginning Lea felt sorry for her and comforted the girl. Until her temper started to rise and snapped at the poor girl, telling Jesse that everything will be fine and that she’s braver than this! Eventually Jesse stopped and started talk to her to figure out how to escape. Thankfully Barry, Cisco, Harry, Killer Frost and others saved them! They all returned to Earth 1 with a survivor of Zoom to reveal himself as the REAL Jay Garrick.

Everyone bonded, a few metas came in here and there. Harry, Lea, and Caitlin had to saved Jesse from going into shock. Lea and Jesse formed a bond afterwards. Plenty of other things happened as Barry’s dad died while trying to help them.

Eventually they defeated Zoom and everything was fine, until Barry created Flashpoint and you know what happened there! Team Flash was dealing with bigger issues due that change in the timeline order cause of the different Meta Humans, Caitlin becoming Killer Frost, Harry and HR, relationships blooming, the yearly crossover events and etc.

Forget to mention, Harry was a little jealous when HR would be flirty or anything similar to that with Lea. HR adored all the couples, especially Barry and Iris! But deep down he knew she was Harry’s lady.

As crazy it was, it was home. One afternoon, Harry walked into the lab to find Lea tinkering a equation for a biological connect between a few Meta humans and a new answer to Jesse’s speeding powers, getting a huge headache. He smiled, resting his hand on her waist kissing her shoulder tenderly. It was a rare occasion where he was the one easing her thoughts. Usually it was the other way around, with her being the one to do so, but it felt good.

Lea leaned into Harry’s touch and eased looking up at him with a small smile. They only been together for two years but it felt like they were the married couple of Team Flash with how comfortable they are around each other. She laced her lips giving him a cheeky kiss as he went in for another kiss.

“You forgot to add the 3 and subtract the 15, that’s why your having trouble.” Harry commented, taking the pen to fix the equation and being a genius, he solved it immediately.

“Of course I did. I’m better with a gun and genetic codes then rude math stuff..” Lea replied with a small huff, pointing to the paperwork.

“That’s why I’m the billionaire genius.”

“And I’m the junior biologist.”

“A gorgeous biologist, may I add.”

“I wouldn’t say that.”

“I would!”

Before she can replied or add anything else, Harry lifted the girl into her arms wrapping the love of his life into her arms grinning. Lea wrapped around his neck when suddenly she hissed her face laying on Harry’s chest, feeling a headache and a sharp ringing in her ears. His gripping stayed strongly against hers, rubbing her back until it passed and when it did, Harry asked, “Uh honey what was that? Are you okay?”

Lea whimpered for a moment and nodded, “I’m fine. I heard a ringing like a bell..or the elevator.”

“From here? Darling, your sure it’s not a headache…you’ve been having a lot of those recently.”

“No..it’s not.”

As if on cue, Cisco came in with a confused face holding a corn dog and texting Barry on his phone. He looked up and noticed the couple sensing something was wrong, Harry was skeptical, it happened out of the blue as he watch Lea’s reactions and his face lighted up.

Cisco tossed Harry his machine and they the used old Meta Human detector waving it in front of her until it’s started slowly beating a gentle as Harry and Cisco face lit up. After a few hours it was confirmed, Leanna caught onto elements of being Meta Human!

Hours and days passed as Leanna O’Conner became aware of her powers that bounced within her. She had to ability to have enhanced hearing. Cisco and Harry were VERY proud they found out of her abilities firsthand while Caitlin kept her abilities a secret. That was until Cisco and Lea found out with Barry about her power set. They love Caitlin and embraced her new abilities, even if Killer Frost revealed to be a bit of a insecurity for her. But Lea was always by her side for all of it!

To say Lea struggled with her powers was a understatement, there were moments where she heard everything from a 4 mile radius and moments where she couldn’t hear anything at all. The first days she couldn’t sleep or think straight, having to wear noise canceling headphones that Cisco and Harry built for her or Iris hug her from behind to hush her worries.

Weeks past and everything changed for Team Flash, they’re team grew up but also downgraded. Since Killer Frost kept showing up making issues harder, Savitar kept wanting to kill Iris, Wally West got powers and started dating Jesse, and etc.

OH! The Invasion, The Musical Crossover Event and happened as well. In result, was a world wrestling issue for the teams as Supergirl, Arrow, Legends and others join in. Barry and Iris even got engaged twice, which everyone celebrated.

More Metas came to town, causing Lea to take action and step up even more with Team Flash, since she was always behind the scenes of all the action. Time travel happened and then it was the night of Iris’s death…

It was a crazy nightmare for Barry and the rest of Team Flash, fighting against time to save Iris from Savitar and Killer Frost. Stressful, heartbreaking and frustrating to say the least. In the end they won, H.R. swapped positions with Iris, as she went to kill Savitor with a gun she took from Lea.

There was a small funeral held for H.R. Wells during a somewhat cold rainy day, everyone dressed in black underneath umbrellas burying their short lived friend. Caitlin returned as Killer Frost for the funeral telling Lea and Cisco she needs some time to figure herself out but will return later on. A few days later, Lea and Cisco were packing up for a small trip to Earth 2 with Harry when a portal opened a few blocks away result all of Team Flash to take action.

The portal was The Speed Force wanting Barry to spend some time with them for a while, for his issues of messing with the timeline. It was heartbreaking to see Barry Allen go, Lea held Iris in her arms comforting the girl as she had to watch her fiancé leave for a while. Julian, Cisco, Harry and Joe stayed behind watching the mere sad action take place as a group…

An angsty but also fluffy fic for Barry's birthday, info on Beth here

Beth fiddled with the pen in her lap idly, staring at the clock as the hands ticked closer to midnight. Just a few minutes. It was silly, she thought, sitting here waiting as though the moment the clock struck midnight, Barry would wake up. He probably wouldn't. No, he definitely wouldn't, she reminded herself. It had been four months with no change and there was no sign of him waking anytime soon. Be reasonable.

She definitely wasn't being reasonable. Sitting around waiting to wish your brother a happy birthday when he wasn't even remotely aware of the passage of time was decidedly unreasonable. But she couldn't help it. It was something they'd done every year since they were small, when they would sneakily stay up together to count the seconds until the clock struck midnight. They'd roped Iris into the tradition too, when they'd moved in with the Wests, and Beth wondered if Iris was awake at home right now, doing the same thing.

"Knock knock." Cisco's voice drifted from the doorway and Beth looked up, shooting him a small, forced smile.

"Hey." She greeted. Cisco crossed the room and pulled up a chair next to her, prompting Beth to finally unfold herself into a more proper sitting position. She gestured vaguely to the clock. "It's, um...his birthday is tomorrow...well, in a few minutes really, so..." She shrugged, trailing off. Cisco nodded.

"Yeah, I know. I was just coming to check on you. Thought you could use some company." He said. Beth's smile softened a little and she reached out to take his hand. He squeezed it gently.

"Thanks. I appreciate it." She said quietly. "I just can't help feeling like...like I should be doing something more."

"More? You've been here every day, I don't think you'd ever leave if you could help it." Cisco said. His tone was light but Beth ducked her head anyway, feeling guilty.

"Yeah, I know. But I keep thinking...maybe if I did something different or tried something else, or-or maybe-"

"Beth." Cisco interrupted before she could spiral. "You couldn't have done anything to change what happened. None of us could." Beth swallowed hard and nodded, squeezing Cisco's hand tighter.

"I know. It's just hard, you know? Seeing him like this...it's not how he's supposed to be. God, I...I wish you'd met him before. He's so smart and funny and brave and kind and I just..." Beth trailed off and Cisco laced their fingers together instead, running his thumb over the backs of Beth's knuckles soothingly.

"Hey, don't think like that. I'll still meet him, whenever he wakes up." He said firmly. Beth sniffled, leaning her head on his shoulder.

"I know you will. He's going to love you." She said, sighing softly. "I'm just...he might be a completely different person, if - when - he wakes up. There's so many variables, the lightning could have impaired his memory or personality or-"

"Stop." Cisco interrupted and she looked up, finally meeting his gaze. "Don't do that. Don't think about the unknowns or the what-ifs, okay? Let Caitlin worry about that. You just need to be here for him. And I'll be here for you." He promised, brushing a strand of hair out of her face.

Beth leaned over and pressed her lips to his in a chaste kiss, trying to let Cisco's words halt her spiraling thoughts. Her watch beeped, letting her know midnight had finally arrived and she pulled back, resting her head on Cisco's shoulder again and glancing back at Barry, still as ever, on the hospital bed.

"Happy birthday, Barr." She whispered, heart heavy. "Wake up soon, okay?"

Family/Relationships: Cisco Ramon (father, primary guardian), Kamilla Hwang (stepmother, also primary guardian), Cynthia “Charmer” Reynolds (mother), Nora West-Allen (best friend, love interest)

Faceclaim: Nicole Muñoz

Bio: Reyna was a surprise to both her parents, born in January 2019…but despite that, there was never any doubt that despite her parents no longer being together, they loved her more than anything.

Things got complicated after Crisis, though…especially after Reyna’s powers manifested. Cynthia and Cisco had more than a few fights—Cynthia wanted Reyna to become a Collector, protecting her from Earth-1’s anti-meta laws, while Cisco refused to let Cynthia deny Reyna a normal life. So instead, Cisco, with the powers he’d kept for his daughter’s sake, trained her to control her powers and gave her Caitlin’s old necklace to make up the difference. And for years, Kamilla raised Reyna, with Cisco popping up every once in a while to visit.

It was a few years later in primary school when she met Nora West-Allen, born only a year after her (January 2020)—a girl she briefly remembered from a few fuzzy memories of before-Crisis. Nora vaguely remembered her the same way, and the girls hit it off, inseparable from then on. Little did they know that they would change each other’s lives forever.

Okay so, I don't think this is going to reach the right audience but I'm writing a Barry Allen fanfic on AO3 and wanted to see if anyone on Tumblr would be interested in reading and/or reviewing it? I've got almost 40k words written so far and it's nineteen chapters long, I've got twenty-two already I just haven't posted those yet. I post about once a week and I don't know how long I plan on making it.

His phone goes off agian “look who’s calling Oliver queen”

I snatch the phone and answer “Oliver I’m fine”

“You and Barry are what” he yells

I lay here in the alley way after shotting up “Olivia is that you” I hear Thea say I don’t respond she neals next to me then says “don’t throw your life away looking for him”

“It’s to late for that Thea” I respond then pass out

Now

“What are you working on” wells ask me

I roll my eyes and answer “I’m reading an article about new weapons that are apparently being built by the military to take out new enmeys and well it’s talking about turning meta humans into weapons”

“Who is the article by” he asks

“I don’t know it’s anmous I’m sure if you ask Cisco he could tell you but I’m not a haker” I respond

“Somethings bothering you”

“Yes and it’s none of your business” I respond

Right then barry runs in “a bomb went off I think it was a meta human”

“I’m on it” Cisco says “alright her name is Bette” then he pulls up a picture of her

“I know her” I say they all look at me

Then Barry asks “how” he then crosses his arms and gives me a look the one that makes me feel like he can see right through me

“Back when I was an addic one of the places I was shotting up at I heard screaming I was high and confused so like anyone in that situation I checked it out to see if I could get it to stop I followed the screaming to a door I opened it and when I did I saw her tied up with rope apparently that place has also been sex trafficking teens I helped her escape then went back in and pretended I was passed out and they never suspected me and it’s because of her I got clean” i exsplain

“So why don’t I take you with me maybe you can talk her down” he asks

“I’ll go but I doubt she’s going to reqonize me also don’t tell Oliver he’s already mad at me” I answer he then picks me up and race to her location she touches him

Then says “what ever you have on take it off” so he does and it was very aceord when he came back to the lab saying I had my arms wrapped around his chest right under his arms oh and did I mention that all he had on was boxers

“Do I want to know” Cisco asks as I quickly let go of Barry

“It’s not what you’re thinking” I respond as I sit down

“Ok so what happened to my suit” he then asks giveing Barry the death look

“It blew up”

“What do you mean it blew up”

“She planted a bomb on it and it went kaboom” I yell “that’s what he meant” they all look at me then I say “sorry it’s hard to believe that the 17 year old that was tied up can now create bombs at the touch of her hand” I sigh

“Ok that’s it somehow your brother found my number and won’t stop calling me can you please talk to him” Catleyn yell asks as she storms into the room

“No he’s to mad right now just block him” I tell her

Then Bette walks in and says “I need help” Catleyn runs some tests on her

“You’re the one who saved me that night” she says looking at me

“Yes” I respond

“How long have you been clean” she asks

“Just a little over 7 years but now I’m addicted to coffee and donuts” I respond

She laughs at that “I need to test her powers” Catleyn says

“Wait you want her to blow thing up” Cisco says

“I think it’s a good idea how about you Olivia” wells asks looking at me as if for approval

“Why not” I respond then we all head to the track I stand there watching her when Barry comes behind me and wrap his arms around my waist i smile to my self

“Alright that enough for today” wells says we pack up and leave when we get back we find a tracker in her arm then the armey shows up they end up killing her and Barry had to drop her body in the middle of the ocean

When we get home he looks at me sad like he’s going to break down I start playing aloud courtesy of the red white and blue by Toby Keith “American girls and American guys we’ll always stand up and salute we’ll always recognize when we see old glory flying there’s a lot of man de-“ he stops the song

Looks me in the eye then hands me his phone I smile at him “call Oliver please for all our sakes”

“Fair” i go to his contact and call him “Oliver I know you’re mad bu-“

He stops me then says “it’s ok it was just a lot are you sure you’re ok”

“I’m fine” I tell him

“Good so how is Barry doing” he asks

“He’s doing really good we both are he actually just made me call you so I don’t think you should be mad at him” I say

“I’m not but if he hurts you in anyway I will kill him”

“He won’t and Oliver do me a favor and don’t go to jail”

He laughs then says “alright love you don’t die and try not to go to jail”

“Love you too I’ll try and I make no promises” and with that I hang up even though ever nerve in my body is telling me not to

“Are you ok” Barry asks as I hand him back his phone

“Somethings wrong with Oliver I don’t know what”

“I’m sure it’s nothing proply him just being the arrow”

“Yeah that’s probably it” I say I then lay down in Barry’s lab my head resting on the arm of the couch most of my body In his lap I look up at him and study his face

He looks down at me and put one arm under my back while the other holds my hand “you know you worry to much about them he’s fine just like I am just like you are” I smile at him then end up going to sleep

It was almost simultaneous: they told each other at the same time, but Cisco beat Colette by a second.

40. What do they do when they miss one another? Is one more needy than the other/s?

Before Cisco was captured, they didn't have many occasions to miss each other, considering they were both stuck at the base. When he's kidnapped by the Avouians, Colette is terrified rather than nostalgic. In a hypothetical scenario where Cisco isn't imprisoned, she'd surround herself with people to feel his absence less.

Since Cisco knows Colette is safe, he has more time to wallow. Yay. He thinks about her non-stop and replays happy memories. In the same hypothetical scenario as above, he would keep his mind occupied with physical exercise and, if he's the one away, look for a nice souvenir.

If these two had modern (or alien) technology, they'd call one another every night and text a lot.

44. Who's the better cook?

Cisco. One of his assigned chores is kitchen duty and he's also a hunter, while Colette is busy with the kids all day.

Everything seemed to blur and come into focus all at the same time as Cisco took in the scene in front of him. Or rather what he could see through the dissipating smoke. Smoke that smelled horribly of chemicals and ash. It wasn’t a smell he wasn’t used to; working in the field of science and building all the “toys” he could, he was used to the smell of chemicals, and it wasn’t out of the ordinary for a circuit board to fry here and there. But together? That was a horrible smell.

He could feel his mouth form words, he was asking a question, but he didn’t hear it as he took in the sight in front of him: everybody picking themselves up off of the floor; Iris with her hands clasped tightly over her mouth; Joe whose face was slack and void of any emotion save for the tears that were collecting in his eyes; Henry grasping firmly to the bars in front of him as his knees gave out; Harry whose face was twisted into a haunted gaze; Averey who sat with her back to the small flight of stairs, staring into the empty space that had just held Barry’s writhing form only moments before.

“What did you do to my son?” A quiet question. And then, “What did you do to my son?!”

Cisco didn’t really know if Henry had shouted those words, or if his grief was just so palpable that he could feel it all around and inside himself. He barely registered the rush of wind that pulled at him, his hair and clothes, that signified Zoom’s appearance. He barely registered the words that Zoom were saying, his eyes just zeroed in on the large, charred, chunk of Barry’s suit that Zoom clutched tightly in his hand.

“Well done…” Zoom’s gloating words floated past Cisco’s ears. Still, he couldn’t focus on the monster in front of him, just the shred of suit in Zoom’s talons. The suit he had worked so hard on. The suit that his best friend was no longer wearing. His best friend who was nowhere to be seen. “You’ve killed him instead.”

It felt like the air had been sucked out of the room. Out of his lungs. What did he do? What did he do to Henry’s son? To Joe? To Iris? To his best friend?

Cisco buried his face into his hands before sliding his hands up over his face, over his hair, attempting to calm himself down. To think! How were mothers so good at that? How could they just stroke their children’s hair, and shush them, and make everything feel like it was going to be ok. But he couldn’t do that for himself. He couldn’t close his eyes, and whisper, “Everything will be ok” and expect just that when he opened them again.

His hands were shaking too much. His legs were shaking too much. His heartbeat fluttered as quickly as a hummingbird in his chest. And Averey wouldn’t stop shouting Barry’s name over and over and over and over. Iris’s heart wrenching sobs echoed around the room.

And then he was moving. He turned to see Harry just staring, staring at where Zoom had just been standing. Joe held Iris tightly to his chest, still with the same empty, yet solemn look on his face. Henry was now leaning heavily on the stair railing, forehead pressed to his forearm, his other hand placed heavily on Averey’s shoulder through the gaps in the railing bars, trying to provide some comfort to his daughter.

Cisco was then by Averey’s side, pulling her to him. “Stop,” he said to her as she fought against him, trying to pull away from his embrace. “Stop looking. Stop.” His voice cracked at the command. He was saying those words to her as much as he was saying it to himself. To stop looking at what he had just done and to attempt to stop the tears that were coming to his eyes. He pressed her forehead into his chest and whispered into her ear, “I’m so sorry.”

The morning everything pretty well. Team Flash was doing their usual work at S.T.A.R LABS. Discussing lunch breaks, new metas they possibly discovered, new experiments to create and plans for the weekend. That was until Harry mentioned friends.

Cisco sat up, “No he’s delusional. That’s because the lack of sleep he’s has been having. Uh, Harry friends are in here!”

Caitlin looked at Barry, who stood there confused, guessing that he’s being sarcastic.

“I got friends other than you guys! You will meet them.” Harry respond, siping his morning coffee.

Cisco gave his second girl a look and asked, “Lea help.”

“I-i know nothing about this.” Lea admitted with her hands up in defense.

“Ramon, believes i don’t got any friends. When i clearly do.” Harry yelled and sighed, typing away on his keyboard, “You told me to go make some friends, right?”

Cisco yelled back, “Yeah but last time i checked, you don’t have any friends besides us!”

Leanna who was tinkering with her tools looked up and nodded, “Yup! I did tell you that. Actually I’m curious to meet your friends, but I gotta hand some paperwork over to Joe first.”

She stood up, giving her boyfriend of 3 years now, a quick kiss on the cheek, in which Harry wraps his hand around her waist pulling her in for one more starling kiss. Clearly he was excited for today.

Cisco and Harry were in the speed lab being introduced to their scientific ragtag team of friends. But it wasn’t what Cisco suspected Harry’s friends to be. One of them even practically threw Cisco Ramon out of the speed lab for being annoyed and offended. Lea walked in, confused onto why her best friend ran out of there but her confusion came to a pause after what she see saw.

There stood right in front of her brown eyes the doppelgängers of Harrison Wells. Not 1, not 2, but 3 Harrison Wells in the speed lab. And if add Harry, that makes 4! In total stood 4 very different variants of Harrison Wells, going from one with gray hair and a turtleneck to one with war general uniform like he just lost an eyeball for God’s sakes.

She didn’t know to laugh at how insane this is or internally whine about this little endeavor being oddly weird for her. But at the same time she was very much integrated into this new situation. She met versions of Wells beforehand but this was completely different. Before she can even say a word or pull together another set of thoughts, when a voice called out to her. More or less a catcall followed by a cheeky whistle.

“Who is this little beauty queen? She’s finer than a flower on a summer morning!” Yelled out a rusty almost burnt blonde Wells in a red rode and slippers.

Lea didn’t realize they were staring at her that moment, quickly fixing her dark gray shirt with tiny daisies scattered all over and dark jacket she borrowed from her friend, Caitlin Snow, earlier that week. She firstly mouth a small “What the fuck?” to Harry as he jogged over swiftly taking her hand with ease. The man was clearly excited about this.

“Honey, come meet my new friend!” He exclaimed holding a grin, returning back to earlier spot but this time with her next to him, “This is Harrison Wolfgang Wells, H. Lothario Wells and Wells 2.0. Men, this is Leanna O’Conner.”

All 3 of them smiled at the lady. Wolfgang Wells stayed wondering his eyes at the brunette, as if he trying to pin point something in particular.

Lea had to just smile politically for the 3 idiots to go sight seeing on her, if allowed. Without a second later the women dragging Harry out into the hallway for a quick chat.

“Harry, honey, what the hell?!” She whispered yelled.

“What the hell? What do you mean ‘what the hell?’?” He whispered yell back.

“Are you out of your mind? Have you officially lost your marbles?!”

“You asked me to make some friends and that’s exactly what I did!”

“When I told you to make friends, I didn’t mean with yourself!”

“They’re technically NOT me! They’re my double hitting doppelgängers from other earths and one of the biggest baddest brightest mind out there.”

“Again! There’s literally 3 of you in that room, all three of them ready to make goo goo eyes at me and oh yeah, one of you is enough but a friend group of Wells that’s just—”

“Sweetie I can handle this. There is nothing to worry about, they’re just charming and intelligent people with different kinds of backgrounds. It’s gonna go great. I promise.”

“You promise? Cause—”

“Lea it’s fine! I got this.”

Once the couple walked back in, Lea announced the plan with Harry, but the second they all heard her voice they looked at her like 3 somewhat trained dogs. Harry had to scuff down a laugh, snorting a smidge.

Sandy hair blonde Wells aka H. Lothario Wells, grinned at her. He found her pretty and said, “Say, gorgeous you got any sisters? Or are you free this Sunday night?”

She blushed chuckling as she shook her head ‘No’ as Harry face them with a glare saying that Lea was HIS girlfriend. So hands off fellas!

Wells 2.0 spoke up, “I had a Lana on my earth…”

“Really? How was I like?” Lea asked, her eyes perked up curious about the answer.

“I wouldn’t know, she died or was it that she left the country? Oh well, i don’t remember! Ladies on my earth aren’t as nice looking as you.”

The four of them kept talking, mainly Harry and his doubles, Lea just stayed sitting back writing on her iPad a few notes on an old equipment and equations. She listened every once in a awhile to their conversation, walking in and out of the lab to other part of the building or heading down to Jitters for some java.

Blowing a kiss to all 3 copies of Wells as she left. All of them stayed with a loopy and cheeky smiles after that. Harry Wells was the lucky one, he actually got a kiss of the cheek.

Returning with a coffee for her boyfriend, after handing one to Caitlin and Cisco she heard it. “Annie..” said the voice. It belongs to Wolfgang Wells, who staying eyeing her for the moment due stepped into the room in the first place. She rarely heard that nickname tossed around but it been said plenty of times beforehand. Only Cisco or Barry will throw that nickname out.

“That’s Leanna, not Annie, can you believe this guy fellas?” Replied Sandy Wells with a chuckling, figuring his doppelgänger was nuts in the head or something.

“No, Annie O’Conner..” Wolfgang Wells said once again with curiosity and confidence in his tone.

“Yeah he’s right.” Lea confirmed his wording, “Did you know a version of me, on your Earth?”

“My wife.”

“We’re married?”

Harry’s eyes darted towards them, mumbling, “You married a verison of her? When?”

“Yeah but I left her. Too much of a handful.” Wolfgang said with a shrug.

Lea gasped, “HANDFUL? I will have you know that I’m not a handful, you guys are. No offense, Harry..”

Wolfgang snickered, “You sound like her too! I left her cause we fell out of love, she was too uptight and I was too busy to care.”

“OUCH!”

“But I think still love her very much. Still, love is love. I think we all got a verison of this lady on our earths, right?”

Sandy Wells chuckled, “Mhmmmm! I do. She’s my 2 A.M bootycall. Speaking of which…”

Just like that, blondie wells was gone saying he got business to take care of. Leanna jaw dropped, meanwhile Harry held back a little smile, grabbing everyone’s attention back to the matter at hand.

All 3 men went back to work. But the looks Wolfgang and 2.0 didn’t go unnoticed, glancing at the half Asian brunette every once in a while. Both men saw something in her, and they liked it. Harry had to snap their towards himself instead and looping a hand on his girlfriend’s waist to signify that once again she’s taken!

The men were talking over one another and bickering more often than not about the topic. Honestly it was kinda hilarious.

Cisco walked in soon enough with a smile, “Soo Council Of Wells, how are we doing? Any progress or we just chitchatting about who’s smarter?”

Leanna chuckled at the last part, because half of it was true.

Harry on the other hand groaned in annoyance, “It’s not going anywhere! We can’t even agree on what method to use.”

“What? You had an entire day.”

“I know! I know!”

“Is it cause Lana is distracting them?”

This time Lea spoke up, “HEY! Right here you know?! First we’re complimenting me, then you’re treating me like a diamond in the rough and now you’re insulting me?! What is it? Leanna Day and I didn’t get the memo?!”

“Well welcome to my life, girlfriend! Theses guys love to do the same thing to me! Ain’t so easy, isn’t it?” Cisco repiled back, tossing her a glare.

“Ohhh, so this is the way your framing this, huh?”

“I guess so, Annie!”

“Cisco I swear—!”

“Wait?”

“What?” Harry asked.

“Isn’t there a 3rd one? Isn’t there 3 of—”

He pointed out there was only 2 Wells standing there, not the original 3 from the beginning of the day. Harry was about to say something about it but as if on cue, Sandy haired Wells reappeared with a cheeky grin blabbing on about something.

Sandy turned toward the trio with a smile, “Oh sorry! Had to take care of some off camera business—”

“OHH MY GOD!” Cisco shouted holding a hand, covering whatever it was he didn’t want to see.

This Wells had his pants down, showing everything his mother gave him. Harry tried to looked away, his face accidentally saw it. Leanna just blinked, gasping as she turned around burying his face in her boyfriend’s black shirt.

“What?” Asked Sandy Wells softly , confused.

“I can see your Frank and beans.” Said Wolfgang, looking rather uncomfortable.

“Come on, now. Do my best thinkin' commando,” Sandy defends himself with a shrug, “Plus, it ain't like we all haven't seen it before. Especially, you little missy.”

“I haven’t seen it!” Cisco yelled, sounding funny and offended by the fact.

He shoots a wink Leanna’s way and she feel like she can’t help but peek her face towards all the men in the room. She saw so much more than clearly expected today! Like Jesus Christ! She rested her head, still sorta hiding her face in her boyfriends shirt.

She didn’t look confident or heroic in that moment.

Harry placed a comforting hand on her head, holding his lady while smiling at her embraced blushing and embarrassment.

Cisco held back a couple of laughs, “Aww! You’re traumatizing the poor girl! But seriously, dude put that away..please.”

Wolfgang agreed with Cisco for once.

“Ah, you Earth Folks. You are so uptight.” Sandy replied pulling up his pants.

“Ah, alright! Can we get back to the take at hand? We need answers.”

Suddenly all men started throwing out suggestions left and right, speaking over one another not allowing Cisco nor Harry to keep a full sentence in.

Lea’s ears were ringing loudly and she groaned in annoyance, “Okay! That’s enough!”

“Enough? We’re just getting started!” Add 2.0 Wells, in which causing another explosion of words being thrown around.

Clearly Harry was losing it having enough of this shit and yelled, “Guys! Guys! Ga—gentlemen!” Grabbing all their attention he continued, “Clearly this isn’t working. And just for the record, it’s not me, it’s you.”

With a simple push of a button, all three holograms disappeared, leaving the trio to themselves.

“This, was a bad idea.” Harry said walking back, placing his hands on his girlfriend’s shoulders whispering, “You okay?”

“It’s like your junk was burnt into my brain.” Cisco answered instead.

“Your welcome.”

Leanna did not answer or add into the previous statement, just walking out with a hand covering her ears silently. Harry and Cisco shared a tired look, figuring something bothered her..

Him and Cisco were talking for a bit, the genius still grumbling about what happened. That he needed to accept the facts and himself, since they are technically his doppelgängers but still. He didn’t truly like it too much.

Until he found her.

Harry found his girlfriend in his lab, scribbling in a notebook wearing her noise canceling headphones, that both him and Cisco carefully crafted her due to her meta human abilities, and playing with her bangs.

He sighed, knowing she was flashed today and practically felt just as insulted as he was. But because Leanna was more of a sensitive soul in the relationship, rather busy lately with Iris’s wedding planning, and helping the team with their issues. Along with the overheating bickering wasn’t probably too pleasant to her ears.

He winced, taking a marker to the whiteboard and tapping it against the clear sided screen. Harry walked over to her, tapping her shoulder and simply asked, “Hey, are you alright?”

“Hm?” She asked, removing her headphone registering what he said and chuckled, “Oh! Yeah honey I’m fine.”

“Isn’t that my line? Lea, honey, what happened? You kinda snapped at them.”

“Yeah well, so did you!…I, uh, umm wasn’t expecting today. Part of me knew something was gonna happen! I felt like I was being pulled left and right. I mean 4 Wells in one room, that’s overwhelmingly surprising and kinda chaotic..no offense.”

“None taken! They are just huge self minded, idiots. Uptight, roughly insulting, snooty and just jerks. I—I didn’t think it would go like that! Hell they flashed you and choose to make eyes at you the whole time. Treated you like you were an prize to be won and be thrown away…no one was paying attention to anything and just talking over one another! Jesus…”

Leanna stayed quiet hearing him rant about how he felt about the situation and the protection his mind created, recognizing things she didn’t notice until now. It made her feel better, knowing that she got the best Wells in the multiverse. All he wanted was to make some more friends and figure out a way to help with his teammates issues.

But instead, he realized that rather became a host and solid choice for a complete conversation than the other guys. He also felt sorta good about himself being one to unlock the door to an O’Conner’s heart unlike his counterpart.

“I uh, don’t take you for granted, you know?” Harry said, with a soft grin.

“I figured as much. You stayed.” She replied with a tired smile.

“Wolfgang had a version of you then lost you, 2.0 Wells was just gah not—the best thing with women and uh, Lothario was something else where uh, you know!”

Lea chuckled and nodded, “Oh I know! I..I know!”

Harry couldn’t help but laugh, “But in all seriousness, Leanna I love you and I’m so sorry you had to deal with that—us, today.”

“I’ve been part of Team Flash for so long, where something like that shouldn’t surprise me but it did. It was chaotic chapter for the books, but I really hope that doesn’t happen again!”

“It better not! I can’t take another moment with those guys. They’re one of the most annoying minds of the multiverse!”

“Harry, honey..”

“What?

“Thank you.”

“For what?”

She stood up from her chair, wrapped her arms around his middle and looked up at the man gently grinning. He looked down at her, placing a hand on the small of her back, smiled softly confused since she left her second line incomplete.

“For being you! You came to this Earth and took it as it is, trying to help it. And those idiots, didn’t have to FaceTime us but they did. Because you would’ve done the same thing.” She added.

“Of course I’ve would’ve, I kinda like you guys. Especially you and Dr. Snow.” Harry admitted.

“Most importantly, you fell for me. All those other versions of Lea and Wells don’t know what they’re missing.”

“Well, technically, this wasn’t planned. I came to another earth for one goal. But we sorta happened.”

“Do you regret it?”

He leaned down, cupping her cheek a bit, “No.”

“Why’s that?” She asked, leaning in.

“Because it proves my multiverse theory. Every version of you or me, ends up being with an such interesting partner.”

“I love that theory.”

“I know you do.”

Harry closed the space between them, tossing in a few solid pecks of Lea’s waiting lips. A couple of sweet nothings and laughs were thrown into the mix, chatting about getting Big Belly Burger later.

When suddenly..

“Oh come on!”

Came Cisco’s voice, standing at the door with his hands on his hips.

“Seriously? Y’all didn’t need my help making her feel better.” Cisco said.

Lea snorted and smiled, as Harry tossed his friend a playful grin, only ever reserved for Cisco Ramon.

“We’re heading to Big Belly Burger later, you coming?” asked Lea.

“Oh hell yes!” He replied, replacing the frown with a smile, snatched up his friend from Harry into his arms for a hug and yelling, “She was mine first.”
