Masterlist Chapter 5
I woke up and I was the only one in the chair with a blanket wrapped snugly around me. I turned to see Rhys resting his hand on his head, his eyes closed. I sat up and stretched and when I looked over to the bed I gasped as eyes like my own stared back at me. “Feyre.” I whispered.
Rhys stirred and looked over to us, “Good Morning,” Feyre was about to talk but began coughing and Rhys was quick to produce a glass of water in his hand and pass it to Feyre, “Drink. You’ve been out for a few days.” She nodded to him in thanks and took a long drink from the glass.
She looked over at me and pursed her lips, “You’re alive.” I nodded words lost to me. “How long have you been here?”
I wrung my hands together nervously, ‘Since Tamlin forced me out.” I said through gritted teeth.
Feyre nodded her head as if digesting how long I’ve been here. “You abandoned me.” She whispered and it felt as if my heart shattered. “You just left me alone. Tamlin told me you died!”
I crossed my arms and leaned back into the armchair. “Right because he had been a picture of pleasantries and kindness to me since that day, he fucking took us away.”
Fury shone in my sister’s eyes, “Yet you could have come back, you could have found me. Instead, you left me alone, didn’t even try to let me know you were okay to see if I was okay!” I flinched guilt swirling in my gut.
“You make it sound like I did it on purpose.” I whispered, “Like I wasn’t attacked in the woods compliments of your priestess pal who left me to die.” Feyre’s eyes widened as I rose from my chair. “Tamlin sent a very clear message of his disdain for me.” I walked to the door ignoring Rhys’ attempt to speak to me in my mind. I opened the door and looked back at her; tears were streaming down her face. “I’m sorry, I failed you a second time, Feyre.” Out of the corner of my eyes I saw sadness flash in Rhys’ face, and I shut the door and walked away.
My feet led me to the dining hall my ears ringing, I didn’t even register where I was until a familiar voice called to me, “Y/N?” I looked up to see Cassian walking in from the balcony, he was wearing his leathers, his siphons gleaming on display.
I swallowed the tightness in my throat, and tried to give him a smile, “Going somewhere?”
Cassian’s brows furrowed concern laced on his features, but he nodded, “I need to go out to the Illyrian camps and make sure my soldiers are up to my standards.”
“And you were going to leave without saying goodbye, Old Man?”
Cassian’s wings twitched as his eyes widened. “Old man?”
I jokingly pressed a palm to my forehead, “Oh I’m sorry, I meant Old Male? Better?”
The General crossed his arms looking at the floor and muttered, “I’d prefer it if Old was dropped all together,” He looked back at me his features softening at me as I grinned back at him. “Do you think I’m old?”
“Cassian, you’re over 500 years old. By human standards you’re ancient. Though I think you’ve just begun your life in terms of the fae so no I don’t think you’re old. However, I will be calling you old just to get under your skin.”
He rolled his eyes, and they go vacant briefly when he comes back to, he walked up to me and wrapped his arms around me. He held me tightly and pressed his hand to the back of my head pressing my cheek against his chest, leather, and sandalwood grounding me, “It’s not your fault, Princess.” He pulls away and cups cheeks.
Avoiding his comment I whispered, “I’ll miss you,” I wrapped my hands around his rubbing small circles with my thumbs.
Cassian pulls my face closer to our breaths intermingling, “I’ll be home as soon as soon as I can,” He pressed his warm soft lips on my forehead and my eyes fluttered shut. Too quickly he pulled away and lowered our hands from my face. I laced my fingers with his and we walked out to the balcony. Cassian flared his wings, the sun highlighting the dark red hues and membrane on his wings. He turned to me and gave me a playful wink “Safe travels, General, wouldn’t want you to hurt your brittle old bones.” He laughed, flicked my nose, and launched into the air.
I leaned on the balcony railing watching him take to the skies in awe and tilted my head when he paused and turned to me, I gave him a smile, knowing he probably couldn’t see me and waved at him. He lifted his hand in response and turned and headed out, I stayed out there until he was out of my line of sight and headed into the dining room. Only to be met with a second pair of Hazel eyes. “So, Cassian’s pretty cute,” He joked throwing the line I said to him a few nights before.
Heat flared in my cheeks, “Busy body.”
Azriel just pointed his thumbs at himself, “Spymaster.”
“So, a professional busybody.” Az laughed clutching his stomach. “I liked it better when you were quiet, Shadowsinger.”
Azriel nudged me with his shoulder, “No you don’t.”
I pat the top of his head and the shadowsinger grumbled, “You’re right, I don’t.” I looked to the doors as if I could see Feyre all the way from here. “Where are you off to?” I asked and Azriel’s face showed no indication of his feelings, but his eyes held a glimpse of sadness there.
His shadows danced around his neck and a few strayed from him and swirled and weaved around my legs. The cool kiss of their touch a great reprieve to my heated skin. “I have the day off I was going to go into the city for a bit to have lunch with Mor. I’d figured I’d see if you want to train?”
“Yes, please, I can’t go back into that room. Not yet anyway.”
Azriel nods his head to the door, “Go get changed we’ll work on wielding weapons.” I smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek and ran to my room to change into my leathers. I braided my hair into a crown and walked to my door. Opening it I was shocked to see Rhys on the other side arm raised to knock. I’m pretty sure Rhys expression matched my own as he lowered his hand tucking it in his pocket. “You, okay?”
I leaned against the door frame, “Truthfully?” He nodded, “No, I’m not. She thinks I ran away and abandoned her. Thanks to Tamlin and Ianthe and their pretty little lies.” I swallowed the tears, “The way she looked at me, Rhys. It hurt.” Rhys sighed and I could see the exhaustion in his features and taking over his body. “When was the last time you slept?”
He waved me off, “Don’t deflect.”
I crossed my arms, “I’m not deflecting. I answered your question, and I am asking a simple question in regards to the wellbeing of my friend.”
Light sparked into his violet eyes, “We’re friends?”
“Now who’s deflecting?” I cup my hand on his cheek, “You need to sleep, Rhys. She’ll be fine, give her some time alone to process everything.”
Rhys placed his hand on top of mine, “You’re a good sister you know that right?”
“There have been many moments where Feyre would disagree with you.” My mind trailed off to Under the Mountain.
I twisted the goblet in my hand, another night another party that Feyre and I are the full spectacle of in matching outfits. If you could call the see through material that barely covered my breast and my ass an outfit. Feyre had swirls that matched her tattoo throughout her whole body and the same markings swirled on my skin. I remained close to my sister when Tamlin approached Feyre. I averted my gaze to give them privacy.
My eyes scanned across the room looking out for Rhysand and before I could look back to my sister and Tamlin was walking away from her. Feyre whispered in my ear, “Cover for me, Tamlin wants to meet with me for a moment.”
Relief washed over my chest, “Is he going to get you out?” I whispered so low it in her ear. “Feyre, he has to get you out.” I had her face me so she could understand.
Feyre rolled her eyes, “I’ll be fine.” And before I had the opportunity to argue further, she left. I scowled quietly as I watched her walk away and saw the High Lord of the Spring trail after her.
I glared at the door they went behind, hoping that I could him to get her out. A hand fell on the small of my back causing me to jump and Rhys’ voice was against my ear, “Just me.” He removed his hand, and he looked over to where Feyre and Tamlin ran off to and his jaw tightened. The only indication on his calm demeanor that told me he was upset. “Where is Feyre, Y/N?”
I quirked my brow, “I think we both know, you know exactly where she is, High Lord.” There was a pause, and for whatever reason I asked in a hushed tone, “He isn’t going to get her out, is he?”
“No, he isn’t.” Dread took over. I looked down at the goblet contemplating drinking the fae wine and forget my inhibitions, fueled by the anger and disappointment of not only the blonde haired green eyed high lord and my foolish love-sick sister. “You’ve been avoiding it this long, don’t start because you’re angry. That could lead you down a dark rabbit hole.” He grabs the goblet from my hand and drinks the contents, “Stay close to Lucien.” He hands me the empty cup.
“Where are you going?”
Rhys voice floats in my mind, “To fix this.”
Rhys squeezed my hand bringing me back, “That wasn’t your fault either.” I curse under my breath and rebuild my shields. “Tamlin has made a mess of things time and again. It’s going to catch up with him in the end.”
I nod lowering my hand that he is still gripping, “I should go Azriel is waiting for me to start training.” Rhys nods and moves out of the way, releasing my hand. “Go to sleep, High Lord. You’ll need your strength if you’re going to need with your Feyre Darling.” I heard his chuckle as I left to go find Azriel.
Azriel was in the training ring on the roof his arms crossed, “You’re late.”
I lowered my gaze, “Sorry, I ran into Rhysand.” I met his piercing gaze, “Don’t suppose you’ll go easy on me for it.”
Amusement graced his features, and his lips quirked upward, “Not a chance. Pushups, now.” I groaned, “Keep it up Archeron, and I’m going to double how many you must do. Give me thirty.” The morning sun caused sweat to drip down my brow on the first ten pushups. My arms were already shaking by the twentieth pushup, “I am going to have to kick Cassian’s ass for his lack of core training with you.” I was able to finish the pushups and slowly stood up my arms and legs shaking.
Azriel made his way over to weapons, “You have a preference on weapon?”
I shrugged, “I only had access to a dagger, I don’t know anything else.” I followed him, and looked at the table, there were a few daggers, two longswords and a bow and arrow. The weapon reminded me of Feyre, “I have no interest in archery.” I murmured biting the inside of my cheek as a fresh wave of guilt that washed over me.
Azriel didn’t look over at me and simply said, “Noted.” He grabbed the dagger and handed it to me. “Show me what you can do with this.”
I walked over to the center of the training ring dummy that was on the other side and grabbed the tip of the dagger took in a deep breath as I raised my arm and, on the exhale, threw the dagger as it hit right in the chest of the dummy. I turned to Azriel’s face was unreadable, “What?”
Azriel shook his head, “Just not what I was expecting, you did this when you hunted in the human lands? You ever worried about missing?”
I gave him a wink, “I never miss, Shadowsinger.”
He grabbed a dagger from his belt, not as ornate as his other one that he always kept within his reach “Prove it.” So, we spent the rest of the hour throwing the daggers splinters from the wooden dummy everywhere. “I’m impressed, you have quite the arm Y/N. Who taught you how to throw?”
“I taught myself.” Azriel quirked a brow, “My dad was attacked by some creditors. Nesta and Elain remained hidden in our room, Feyre was begging them to stop. After they shattered his leg, I knew I needed to take action. I took a knife one of the few things we were able to keep, and I threw it and one of them collapsed to the floor. I didn’t even understand that I had killed him. Until the other guys looked at me with pure horror on their faces. They fled right after that. But the damage was done my father’s leg was destroyed and 4 sisters carried out a dead body to the forest to be eaten by the creatures that lurked there.”
“Turns out fae and human are more alike than people think at least in their cruelty.” Az said in response, no judgement, no pity, just stating a fact.
“Their kindness too, Az.” He gave a nod, “Would you mind taking me to the town house?”
“You don’t want to stay here? Close to Feyre.” Again, there was no judgement in his tone simply asking a question.
“Not today. Plus, most of my clothes are in the town house anyway and my journal.” I left out the part about Cassian gifting that to me.
“Sure, do you want to go now?” I nodded and he held out his hand which I graciously took my hand, and his shadows consumed us, and we were in front of the town house.
I looked at him, “That’s a neat trick,” A shadow slithers up to her hand and she coos at it, “Is there anything you little guys can’t do.”
Azriel made a face, “They are shadows not, puppies.”
The shadow kisses my cheek and wraps around my hair before slinking back toward its master, “I think they liked it.”
Az groaned, “They did.” I couldn’t contain my laughter. “You going to be, okay?” Rhys was kind of worried about you.” He paused, “Cassian had fought Rhys to stay. He had to pull rank.”
“He shouldn’t have abandoned his duties to help me. He doesn’t even know me very well.” I shrugged.
Azriel smiled, “Cassian has a big heart, when he sees someone is hurting, he will do anything in his power to make them feel better. I do know he enjoys your company and cares about you.”
Heat rose in my cheeks at Azriel’s words. “Well hopefully he doesn’t have to stay wherever he is at for too long. I find that I enjoy his company too.” He smiled, “Have a nice lunch Az. I’ll talk to you later.” He waved and his shadows consumed him, and he was gone. It made my way inside and ran to my room and began writing in my journal pouring out my emotions from the last few days.
A few days had gone by, and Az has continued teaching me how to hone my skills in throwing daggers along with sparring with a long sword. I spent my afternoons writing and despite Rhys’ efforts avoiding my sister. It was about a day and a half before Rhys and her came into the town house, and I just kept to myself. I kept to my room and wrote in my journal the words were flowing through me and I felt this wave of creativity. I wasn’t writing stories but just getting words on paper was a start.
The week’s end approached and there was a knock on my door as I was sitting in my bed reading a book. “Come in.” Rhys stepped in and I gave him a smile, “How is she?”
He gave me a warm smile, “Good, she wants to meet the Inner Circle. Wants to work with us.” I nodded, “So we’re having dinner tonight.”
“Okay. Have fun.” I murmured flipping the page. The book was ripped from my hand and disappeared, “Rhysand!” He walked to my closet and picked up the new gown that Mor insisted I buy weeks ago and dropped it on my bed.
“Get changed, get ready, we’re leaving at the top of the hour.” He crossed his arms and stared at the floor, “She’s been asking about you and you’ve been blocking me out. Just try, okay?” I nodded and he comes up and kisses my forehead, “Good,” he gave my arm a comforting squeeze, “Oh, did I mention, Cassian is home.” My head perked up and he had a knowing smirk on his face. “He was wondering where you were and why you weren’t in the House of Wind.” He flicked my nose, and I swatted his hand. “Get dressed.” And he walked out.
Cassian’s POV
It was an agonizingly long week Devlon was fighting me on every order and had a comeback for every word I said. Knowing that I was going to come home and get to spend some time with Y/N. Leaving her when she looked so devastated and Rhys sharing the argument between the twins in my mind set my blood boiling. I had to remember that Feyre was also hurting but it still didn’t make it alright for making Y/N feel guilty for something Tamlin fucking did.
The days blurred together but then I was on the balcony of the House of Wind and the air felt stale and I looked for anyone. My wings slumped a little bit I was hoping to see Y/N. I felt familiar claws against my shields, and I let them down.
Welcome home brother, Rhys’s voice flooded my brain.
I walked into my room and began to take off my leathers, Thanks, where is everyone?”
Azriel is wandering around the city for something, Mor is coming back from the Court of Nightmares and the twins are in the townhome with me. Everyone is coming out there to the House of Wind for Dinner.
Have the two of them made any headway?
No, they haven’t, Y/N has kept to herself except for training with Azriel. I am about to drag her out for dinner. I just wanted to welcome you home.
Thanks, I’ll see you soon.
***
I walked into the dining room and was greeted by a bubbly blonde, “How was Windhaven?”
I snorted, “Shitty,” I wrapped my arms around her, “How was the Court of Nightmares?”
Mor chuckled, “Shitty.” There was a brief pause before the two of us chuckled and took our seats. Amren sat a goblet in her hand. “How are you, Amren,” Mor gave her a smile.
Amren quirked a brow, “Ready to get this over with.”
“Come on, Little one, you don’t want to meet Feyre Cursebreaker see what she’s all about?” I countered she just scoffed and sipped her goblet.
Thunderous wings announced my brother’s presence both Rhys and Azriel had a sister and something in my chest eased to seeing Y/N. Rhys led a woman who looked so like her sister she was in a dark blue gown, and she looked beautiful. My eyes gazed over to my brother who was helping take off Y/N’s cloak and I swore the room was void of air.  Y/N was in a light blue gown shimmering with sparkles looking like water on the sunset with thin straps and a slit started at the middle of her thigh that showcased her now toned thigh. Her hair was pinned to one side soft curls falling to her full chest.
Rhys slipped into my mind, Brother, close your mouth you’re drooling.
I shook my head and subconsciously wiped my mouth and looked over to Az who gave me a knowing wink before kissing the top of Mor’s head in greeting. I could feel eyes on me, and I turned my gaze back to Y/N her smile almost made me fall to my knees. And before I knew it she was sprinting toward me, I grinned back at her and opened my arms right as she hopped into my arms and wrapped her arms around my neck. “You’re home.”
I squeezed her tightly and took in her scent of Jasmine and vanilla. “I missed you too, Princess.”
There was a cough, and I opened my eyes to meet Rhys’ and I place her down and I whispered in her ear, “You look beautiful tonight.” A blush crept up on her cheeks as the grin never left her face. I led her to one of the seats in between Azriel and myself.
Rhys looked over to Feyre who did not leave the balcony, I decided I should break her tension, “Come on Feyre, we don’t bite, Unless you ask us to.” There was slap of the back of my head and saw Az giving me a pointed look and Y/N trying hard not to laugh.
“Cassian, no one has taken you up on that offer.” Rhys countered as he had his hand on Feyre’s back, she gave me a small smile and I nodded my head and gave her a wink. “The loud one over there is Cassian, Azriel on your sister’s left, you obviously know Mor and Amren, my second in command.” Rhys led her to the table and food appeared.
“So, you took down a Middengard Wyrm, pretty impressive, Feyre.” I said piling food to my plate, Y/n tensed beside me, and Feyre looked to her plate.
“No I didn’t.” Feyre murmured her eyes looming over her twin, “That was Y/N.”
I turn to the human woman beside me, “Why didn’t you say anything?” I asked.
She simply shrugged. “You didn’t ask, it wasn’t worth talking about.” She focused on her food.
Rhys kicked my foot under the table and gave me a pointed glare. Again another few moments went by and Rhys filled the silence with what he would require of Feyre if she were to join the Night Court and fully leave the Spring Court.
Feyre is nodding along, and Y/N had been picking at her food. I bumped my knee against hers, “Are you okay?”
She looked up at me and she smiled, “Yeah I’m great.” She leaned up to my ear and I tried to tamper my excitement of her chest pressing against my arm, “I missed you, General.”
I met her eyes and noticed her pupils were blown, “Likewise, Princess.”
“What did you do to my sister?” Feyre blurted, “What spell do you have her under?”
Y/N blinked, and her head slowly turned to her twin, “Excuse me?”
“I’ve never seen you this way, you were so cold in the Spring court and the human lands, surely, they have some type of hold on you that you are so comfortable with them. Rhys is capable-“
Y/N slammed her hands on the table and rose from her seat, her dress pooling on the floor, a true vision with rage contorting her beautiful face. “Don’t. Just don’t.” She points to Rhys, “Rhysand, offered me a bargain tattoo as a way of communicating with him in case I needed him when I was in the Spring Court. And has made sure I have been comfortable since being here.” She points to Mor, “Mor, has been a friend and a confidant and welcomed me with open arms.” She points to me and Azriel, “And these two, saved my life from the Naga when your precious High Lord left me out to rot. Everyone has been training me to fight, to strengthen my mental shield, and to read and write. Something that they are still willing to help with you if you choose to take it to give you back control.” Her hand finds mine and links her pinky around mind and my chest hummed with warmth, “You may not trust Rhysand or his friends. You don’t have to like them if you don’t want. However, by while you’re here under Rhys’s protection you will show him and his family some fucking respect, when they provided you aid, because Tamlin failed to.” Feyre balled her fist, and I could see her clench her jaw. Though Rhys had a look of shock on his face his cool mask melted away. Azriel tensed but not because he was uncomfortable it was because he was fighting back tears and Mor gave her a small smile sipping her eye. I could not help the pride swelling in my chest. The selfless, generous woman just defended my family against her own and I focus back on my plate ignoring the erratic beat of my heart.
It was Amren who chuckled low that spoke, “Oh how, I like you, Girl.”
The rest of the dinner was sat in silence, but Y/N’s pinky never unhooked from mine.

joy-cons.
pairing ; barry allen x gn!reader. fandom: ; dc, the flash (cw) genre: ; fluff. rating ; pg. note ; it's been a while since i've written, so pls spare me the pain! just wanted to write a little drabble to start off my blog!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it took a lot of convincing for you to play mario party with barry. forty pleases and multiple interrogations on why you didn’t want to play to be exact.
are you scared? afraid you’ll lose again? come on, babe. i’ll go easy on you!
it’s not that you hated the game or anything. they’ve become a party favorite for years (except for the tenth game, we don’t talk about you) and you’ve always enjoyed how those games made you feel afterwards. whether you lost or won, cheated or played fair; mario party made you (and everyone) laugh and bond together, and you’ll always credit those games for bringing you and your family closer.
with your boyfriend… not so much.
“barry… listen…” you respond with an insecure smile, hesitant whether you should really bring this up with your boyfriend right now or suck it up and play a round if it makes him happy.
“oh no… are you still mad that i stole all your stars the last time? listen, we can play the other games! i’m sure one of them have an option to turn it off or something…” barry playfully rambles, his signature smile that made you fall in love with him still remaining. “which really defeats the purpose of the game, though. because then it becomes all vanilla and if everyone is given a fair chance-“
“barry- no.” you cut him off with a small peck to his lips, a gesture you often do whenever he goes on a tangent.
“then what is it?” he repeats the same gesture back, following up by leaning his forehead on yours to gaze into your eyes a little closer, his hold on your hands tightening to keep your balance and his upright.
“well… uh… okay, you know that mini-game where you have to button-mash the hammer into the little sand cactus thingies?” you describe the mini-game that made your thumbs sore in aftermath. in all honesty, you were great at it. until barry came along.
“the pokeys? yeah! you know i got a world record on that?”
“uh-huh. i was right there.” you lead him to the couch where both you and barry sit, reaching over to grab the red and yellow joy-cons on the table. “less than a millisecond…” you mutter to yourself.
“what about it?”
“well…” you clear your throat and open your palm that’s been holding the red joy-con for barry to take. “you broke them again.”
“oh- i can just pay you back, you know that-“
“no… barry. that’s not the problem! i’ve been noticing and this always happens whenever we play those type of mini games where we have to break our thumbs until they’re beating red!”
“hey! we don’t have to play those! we can skip and… and we can-“ barry fumbles over his words and you can tell something’s making him nervous. it’s quite comical, this entire situation. you weren’t mad, sad, disappointed, but suspicious.
“barry, did you even look at the joy-con.” you shut your lip tight, almost wanting to laugh, but remain serious as your boyfriend looks like he’s in a state of panic.
“wha-“ barry averts his eyes down to his palm. a singular joy-con, the one that he always uses whenever you guys play together, except it looks a little different than usual. “it doesn’t look broken to me- OOOOOH MY GOD.”
barry’s eyes register to a burnt joy-con. well, the other half of it. one side still maintains its signature red, but barely. he looks up at you with wide eyes and an expression akin to edvard munch’s the scream painting.
“yeah- can you tell me how you managed to smoke literally half of the controller? and out of all the games, it’s mario party?!” you take the controller back from his hand and examine it closely. one of the buttons is also smashed in. no wonder he had to get a different controller mid-round.
“listen- i don’t know how that happened! i mean, i told you i’ve been lifting more recently-“ barry attempts to grab the controller back from you as if withholding it would take any more suspicion off of him. the struggle has him rolling on top of you while both you and barry’s arms extend further away from each other.
“oh my god, barry. are we seriously doing this right now-“ you breathe out from under him.
“and that world record?! i blink once and suddenly you win first place with less than a millisecond to your name?! i’m not even sure if it registered how fast you were, barry.” you struggle through your words as he pushes his weight on top of your lungs in a continuing attempt to retrieve the joy-con, but a sigh of relief exhales when you drop the controller and barry rolls off of you.
“i’m good at games! great at them! i thought we talked about this, y/n!” you take a minute to catch your breath and watch barry desperately retrieve the joy-con as if his life depended on it.
“barry, you literally only win when we play those mini games-“ something catches your eye when he loops his finger through the joy-con’s wrist strap and the edge of the controller knocks an object out from under the couch.
another red joy-con.
you take a closer look and in midst, catch a glimpse of barry’s ‘oh shit face.’ before he could swipe it back under the couch, you hop off the couch next to him and crouch down, taking a closer look.
It’s burnt, just like the one you confronted barry about it. you pick it up and examine it with your hands. same damage.
“I can explain-“ you cut him off when you begin pushing the couch away. “oh my god, y/n. no, no, no, no!” he dramatically pleas, but barry knows he’s in too deep as what has been his worst kept secret, is finally revealed.
a clutter of broken joy-cons, all red with similar burnt marks and smashed in buttons reveal before you. it must’ve been at least fifty controllers scattered in a pile. at least four thousand dollars’ worth of product. he’s broken a few joy-cons before, which is why you brought it up to him in the first place… but that’s only been four or five times. not over fifty?! you could tell barry was in desperate need in saving money too because you also saw some third-party brands that resembled the joy-cons.
“okay, so… you aren’t going to believe me… but i have these amazing superpow-“
“barry..? w-what the hell?!”

Happy Birthday
Leonard Snart x Reader
Summary: It's Leonard's birthday, and you have a special gift for him. Reader is gender-neutral. (This takes place in The Flash universe, before Legends).
Warnings: Pure fluff!
Word Count: 1552
A/N: I keep adding new men to my master list but I can't help it! Wentworth Miller is just a beautiful individual and I've been obsessed with him as Captain Cold from the start.

It wasn’t the sun shining through his windows that woke him up. It wasn’t even the hustle and bustle of Central City. No, instead, Leonard woke up to the feeling of kisses peppering his face.
He immediately smiles before even opening his eyes. “G’morning,” he says in a husky voice. He hears you giggle. He opens his eyes to the most beautiful sight he’s ever seen. You’re next to him on the bed, leaned over so that your faces are close together. You have the brightest smile on your face, that lights him up from the sight of it. He doesn’t know what he did to deserve you, an angel in human form, but he’ll be damned if he gives you up.
His attention falls back to you as you speak. “Happy birthday!” you say excitedly, trying not to be too loud as he had just woken up. He looks confused before remembering. He had completely forgotten. But it seems as if you hadn’t.
“Thank you, sweetheart.” You lean down and plant a kiss on his lips, thoroughly waking Leonard up. He brings his hand up to hold your head but then you pull away giggling. He’s left looking jokingly dejected which gets him another quick kiss on his pouty lips. “You seem very excited.”
“Well duh! It’s your birthday. Birthdays are fun,” you say cheerfully.
“As long as you don’t throw me a surprise party, I’ll have fun.” You look offended.
“I think I know my boyfriend a little better than that,” you say which makes him smile. He takes you in, positively vibrating with joy and narrows his eyes.
“What is it?” he asks suspiciously. This only makes you smile wider.
“I got you something,” you say and before he can even comment, you’re off the bed. He instantly misses your warmth.
“You didn’t have to get me anything,” he says, missing you but simultaneously drinking you in as he sits up. Your hair is a little tussled from the night before and he notices that you’re wearing his shirt which looks much better on you.
“Oh hush, of course I did!” you call from the closet. You quickly find what you’re looking for and turn with it behind your back. You’re biting down your grin, trying to contain your excitement now, but it’s all over your face. He thinks it’s the cutest thing he’s ever seen.
You make your way back over to the bed and place the gift in his lap. “I have a card for later,” you say. “But I need you to open this first.”
Leonard looks down at the delicately wrapped gift. The wrapping paper is dark blue with white polka dots. As soon as he touches it, he hears you take a sharp intake. When he looks back over at you, your excited energy has turned nervous. You’re rapidly looking from him to the gift. He reaches over to squeeze your hand, trying to help your nerves. It works, as you take a deep breath.
He returns to the gift and begins to unwrap it. Underneath the paper, is a plain white box. He glances over at you again and your eyes are trained on the box. Slowly, he opens it.
There, sitting on a sheet of parchment paper, is a hat. Not just any hat. It’s a dark blue winter hat, and it looks as if it’s been hand-knitted. He’s staring in disbelief, wondering why he’s tearing up at something as simple as a hat.
“Did you make this?” he whispers in awe, slowly reaching in and taking the hat into his hands. It feels comfortable and soft.
You clear your throat. “Y-yeah I did,” you say and Leonard looks at you with stars in his eyes because he can’t believe that his kind-hearted partner took the time to make something for him. You won’t meet his eyes, but if you did, you would see the love he has for you plastered on his face. “I, uh, I tried to match the colour to your coat.” You quickly add, “N-not that you would wear it on the job or anything, but it matches if you wear them together. Or it should.”
He noted that, the choice of colour syncing with his signature coat. “Y/N…” he says, for once at a loss for words. Unfortunately, you take his silence to mean something else.
“I-if you don’t like it, I can get you something else! It’s not that great considering it was my first time knitting, you know I wanted to try something new, but if you don’t like it I would totally under—”
Before your nervous ramblings got worse, Leonard leaned over and pulled you into a fierce kiss. You hesitate, confused for a moment, before leaning into it. You pull away, looking at Leonard for the first time and seeing an absolutely giddy smile, which confuses you even more but puts a smile on your face.
“I love it,” he says, looking into your eyes. You can tell he isn’t lying.
“Really?” you ask with tentative hopefulness. He pulls back to look at it some more.
“Yes!” he says and relief crashes down on you. He sees you smiling again. “In fact…” Leonard takes his new hat and puts it on, instantly warming his head. Your eyes widen.
“You don’t have to wear it—”
“Of course I do, it’s my new favourite hat,” he says with a smile. The thought of wearing something you made special for him warms his heart. He can tell that you’re still not entirely convinced. You set your lips into a straight line before leaning over to take the hat off. But Leonard’s quicker and he leans back, causing you to fall onto his chest.
You giggle as he says, “Are you trying to steal my hat? On my birthday of all days?” This causes you to giggle harder which makes him chuckle. You look up at him with nothing but love in your eyes and his heart still manages to skip a beat after all this time.
“I’m glad you like it,” you say, finally accepting his words to be true.
“How could I not? It’s from you,” he says softly. You bury your face in his chest as you blush which makes him laugh again. Then you lean up and plant kisses all over his face as you did before.
You pause as your faces are inches away from one another. “Happy birthday Leonard,” you say again. He smiles and before he can respond, you lean in and press your lips to his. It’s soft and slow and full of love. When it starts to become more passionate, you pull back biting your lip.
He tries to reconnect your lips but you turn away. “We have to save some for later,” you say with a wink. He groans but gives up as you settle on his chest. As he looks at you, he realizes that you’re the best gift he could ever receive. He wonders if that’s too corny to say out loud. Either way, he sighs in content. He could stay like this, the two of you in bed together, for the rest of the day—
You suddenly sit up, taking your warmth away from him. “Time to make your birthday breakfast!” you say excitedly. You start to move off the bed but he wraps his arms around your middle.
“Can’t we just stay like this in bed all day?” he asks, leaning his head against your back and planting a kiss there. But you wriggle your way out of his grip.
“As nice as that sounds, no can do. I have a whole day planned for you.” As much as he protests to getting out of bed, he really appreciates what you’ve done for him. “So up and at ‘em!”
You skip out of the bedroom towards the kitchen and he groans again, hearing your giggle echo from down the hall. But then he smiles and climbs out of bed, slowly following you. He almost forgets he’s wearing the hat but doesn’t want to take it off. He has a feeling this might be his best birthday yet.
Bonus scene:
The next day at work, one of the rogues is talking with Mick when Leonard walks in. His appearance causes both of them to stop, and not just because he’s in charge.
Along with his infamous blue jacket, Leonard Snart is wearing a new, knitted blue hat. At first, they don’t know what to say. They just stare as he walks by. But then the rogue decides to speak up.
“Hey boss, what the hell are you wearing?” the man asks. Leonard pauses in his tracks and slowly turns to face him with a glare set on his face.
“A hat,” he says, obviously. Then his hand moves to his cold gun and powers it on. “Care to comment on it?”
The man’s eyes widen. “N-no, it looks great,” the man says with a nervous smile. Leonard says nothing more, slowly removing his hand from the gun before walking away. Once he’s out of hearing distance, the man turns to Mick. “You think Y/N made it for him?”
“Oh absolutely,” Mick responds.
From that day on, the hat became a part of Captain Cold’s look.

Autumn Chill (Harry Wells X Reader)
A/N: Nobody check when the last time I posted a fic was lol. Hoping my writing brain will kick in soon now that I've finally finished something. This post was brought to you by the head cold I had last week lmao. If anyone wants to be tagged in future fics don't hesitate to ask!
Word Count: 958
Tagging: @ageless-aislynn @khayrrilrainxwells @mcbenson25 @yetanotherwells
“Hey, I’m home!” called Harry.
He rushed to pull off his boots and didn’t even bother to look at his bag when it fell on the floor. He tossed his coat on the nearest chair, and spun around to double-check that the front door was definitely locked before he briskly walked away from it.
You had both been at STAR Labs all morning, but the autumn chill had seeped into the building, and Harry sent you home the moment he heard you sneeze. He wasn’t thrilled at the idea of sending you home alone. You looked so tired and cold; it took all his willpower not to bundle you up and have you sit next to him as he worked, but you deserved to fall asleep on something much more comfortable than an office chair, and there was still an enormous amount of work left for him to do. Of course, Harry ended up spending every free moment he had thinking about you.
Harry turned into the living room to find you in your pyjamas, curled up on the sofa with a file in your hands and a blanket on the floor. You met his gaze with a tinge of guilt in your eyes. After seeing the mountain of work everyone was dealing with, it didn’t feel right just to leave with unfinished files on your desk, so you had snuck a few things into your bag to work on at home. You promised everyone you would rest – and in your defence, you did take a nap – but turning your brain off work mode seemed too much of a struggle. The look Harry gave you was the perfect mix of disappointment and worry to make you close the file you were holding.
“Before you say anything,” you started, “I took a nap with that blanket, and I woke up way too hot, so it had to go.”
Harry raised a brow. “On the floor?”
“... Yes.”
Harry made his way over to you, perching on the edge of the coffee table next to the pile of work you had yet to touch. He gently pulled the file from your hands, taking a mental note of how cold your fingers were, and placed it beside him. Now that Harry was sitting next to it, the amount of work you had brought home looked ridiculous for a sick person to be tackling. You watched as Harry stretched down and scoop up the blanket, fidgeting with it as he thought about what to do with you.
“I hate being ill,” you muttered to yourself.
Harry hated seeing you so unhappy and not being able to fix everything for you immediately. He wrapped the blanket around your shoulders so he could pull you close enough to kiss your forehead.
“Oh love, you’re freezing.”
You dropped your head onto his shoulder and grumbled; you really did have a lot of work left to do, and it was a lot easier to pretend you weren’t ill when you were alone. Harry’s hand stroked your hair before moving down to rub circles on your back. He heard you wheezing and sighed.
“Come on–” to your dissatisfaction, Harry pulled away to look you in your puffy eyes “–you’ll feel better when you’re resting in bed.”
The room was a lot colder without his arms around you, and your head rocked, threatening you with nausea as you moved to look up at him. Suddenly, the idea of returning to work felt like torture.
You mumbled in agreement and shakily got to your feet, grasping the blanket around you with one of your hands. All it took was one step and your head span. The floor felt like it was moving to the bedroom without you, and you desperately waved your free hand around until it found Harry’s shoulder. He rushed to his feet to steady you.
“Let’s take it slow,” said Harry, keeping a firm hand on your arm and one on your back.
After what felt like an eternity of shuffling, you finally made it to the bedroom. As soon as you sat in bed, Harry tucked you into the duvet, and then the blanket, and as much as it made you laugh, you had to physically stop him from making a pile on top of you. Once he saw that you were comfortable, he turned to leave.
“Probably for the best,” you said, “I don’t want to get you ill too.”
Harry stopped at the doorway and looked over to you. “I’m not leaving you alone like that.”
“Harry–”
“I don’t get sick, I’ll be fine.”
Before you could argue with how silly of a statement that was, Harry disappeared. A few minutes passed before he returned with painkillers, a bottle of water, and a mug of hot tea. He carefully placed the drinks and painkillers on the side table next to you, and grabbed the corner of the duvet.
“Move up,” he said plainly.
“I’m dead serious about getting you ill.”
“I’ve looked after Jesse every single time she’s been ill in her entire life, I’ve never once caught anything from her.” He could see the doubt in your tired face. “Sweetheart, I’ll be fine. Move over.”
Begrudgingly, you shuffled over and let Harry climb in next to you. You hated to admit it, but you felt so much better as soon as Harry’s arms were all around you again. He leaned you up against his side so you could breathe better and then wasted no time covering the top of your head in kisses.
You looked up to Harry and smiled. “Thank you for taking care of me. I love you so much.”
Harry grinned and gave you a squeeze. “I love you too.”

HOZIER [2014] WRITING CHALLENGE MASTERLIST
-------------------------
I was growing very tired of the inside of the cells in Star Labs.
I was tired of the blue. I was tired of hearing the other meta-humans throwing tantrums. I was tired of being in the basement of some random lab.
And, most importantly, I was tired of knowing that I put myself here after I had a chance to get myself away from it all.
I had resigned myself to lying on my side facing the wall.
"I can feel you staring," I called out to the person there. I hated the feeling of eyes on me when I wasn't in control of the situation.
"Can't help it. I always stare at you."
I quickly sat up and turned toward the glass.
Barry was standing on the other side of the glass.
I had done a lot of bad things in my life. What I did to Barry hurt the most.
He was the reason that Team Flash ever trusted me to help them. He stood up for me, helped me, trusted me. After all that I had done, he trusted me.
He kissed me. I thought about that a lot. It was so... nice. I didn't get a lot of nice things like that.
And then, at the first chance of anxiety, I found myself running back to what I knew before. I worked with the same boss doing the same shit that got me caught by Team Flash in the first place.
I abandoned Barry and the team because I got too scared about how I felt and if I was going to screw everything up.
I had already given up hope that I would ever be forgiven before they caught me again.
"I didn't think you'd want to see me," I said.
"I've been looking for you for months," Barry replied.
I ran my hand over my face.
"Why did you leave?"
"Not quite cut out to be a hero. Much better on the other side."
"That's crap and you know it."
I rolled my eyes. "Barry, stop-"
"Tell me the truth," he stopped closer to the door. "Why did you leave? What happened? What did we do? What did I do?"
"I am a villain, Barry. That's it. You can't change who I am. What you were doing was fighting against the inevitable. Even now. You want me to be something different. Face it, I will continue making the same damn mistake. Give up. It'll be easier that way."
There was a pause.
"Did you love me," he asked.
My heart stopped. I looked away again.
"(Y/n). Did you love me?"
"Stop-"
"Because I loved you. I still love you. I am so in love with you that I spent months looking for you. I didn't want to catch you. I just wanted to see you."
I closed my eyes.
I looked back at him when the door to the cell started to open.
"You can go," he said once the door was fully open. "Walk out of here. I won't try to stop or fight you. Walk out the door, and I'll stop trying."
I suddenly wished that the door would close again. I didn't want to be in charge of this choice. It scared me. Oh God, I was so in love with him that this choice scared me.
"But know that it's because I love you... not because I would ever give up on you," he continued. "I love you enough to let you leave if that's what you want."
I slowly stepped forward, out of the cage.
I stopped just in front of Barry. He looked at me with this soft look that I was certain was going to make my heart explode. He was my entire world. How was I supposed to walk away from that?
I leaned forward and pressed my lips to his. I reached out and grabbed his sides, pulling him closer to me. His hands touched my back. I could never let this go. All I wanted was to feel like this forever.
I pulled back slowly.
I basically spoke against his lips, "I love you too, Barry."
He seemed to bite back his smile. He thought that there was a chance that I was going to leave still.
"I want to stay," I muttered as I stepped back fully. "But I can't work here. Not again."
"Why," he asked.
"It's too close, Barry. Too close to... that."
He furrowed his eyebrows, looking ready to argue about it.
"I'm not comparing you to them, I promise," I continued. "I just... I need something that isn't connected to it at all. I need time away from meta-human fights and saving the city and... all of it. I don't trust myself."
I was scared that my confession would change something.
I froze when Barry leaned in and kissed me again. I slowly kissed him back, grinning against his lips. He pulled away this time, smiling at me fully.
"I don't care about you working with us," he said. "I just want you."
I smiled back at him.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
There was a pause before he spoke up again, "Do you wanna go to dinner now?"
I laughed and leaned forward, touching my forehead to his collarbone. "I would rather go lay down somewhere that's more comfortable than the floor."
"I think I can arrange that," he replied.
"Thank you," I moved my head to look at him. "For everything."
"You're welcome."
And this felt like a much better step forward than I had ever taken before.

The Tables have Turned
Tumblr media
What happens one day when a normal visit with Barry Allen turns into a confession?
y/n= your name
l/n= your last name
Jitters rings with the typical sound of a crowded coffee shop: voices ringing, coffee beans being ground, the fresh smell of baked pastries, not to mention the pleasant smell of java in general.
"Okay there, Barry?" You look at your best friend quizzically, taking in his rapidly tapping foot.
Barry looks at you with a small smile, "Huh? What do you mean?"
"Your foot," you point out. "Nerves?"
"You could say that," Barry admits in a sheepish tone.
You sit yourself down in front of him, taking a sip of your pumpkin spice latte. "Tell me more."
"Nothing to tell," Barry shrugs you off.
"Maybe it's just a side effect of being struck by lightning," you laugh.
Your ears perk up as you hear a random stranger mention the word "Flash". You fold your hands professionally on the table in front of you. "Mr. Barry Allen, what is your opinion on this new phenomenon called The Flash? Hero or menace? Protagonist or antagonist? Or perhaps a vigilante maybe?"
Barry laughs at your reporter voice, taking on his own formal voice. "Well, Ms. l/n. I find the Flash a seemingly controversial topic for many civilians. Some say he's a mutant, perhaps a normal human being caught and tortured by evil scientists. Others say it's a hoax, some sort of well done CGI in use. But me personally, I think he's a real man. Some sort of meta-human, that's for sure."
"But Mr. Allen, a meta-human in itself is defined as a human with super powers, practically the same thing as a mutant." You smile, slyly.
"Whatever he is," Barry rolls his eyes. "He has certainly preserved the city, especially from all these other meta-humans appearing."
"Very true," you say, dropping your reporter voice. "I find him interesting, in fact I wouldn't mind writing a blog about him, one in which I could record all the sightings of him."
"Iris is doing something of that nature," Barry nods. "She has a lot of viewers."
"Well shucks," you laugh. "Guess I'm once again too late."
"What do you mean once again?" Barry furrows his eyebrows.
"Oh you know, she always had some of the highest grades in school. Killed it in the creative writing classes, reporting classes, literally any class that dealt with writing. And now she once again beat me, not only in snatching a job in the news world, but in starting a blog that is sure to interest every civilian in Central City."
"Hey, you know a key essential part that she lacks in her blog?" Barry sips his coffee.
"What's that?" You say, skeptical.
"She only writes about the Flash, not about the other meta-human sightings. Not about the antagonists or villains of modern life, that's a side door still open for grabs."
You nod thoughtfully, "That's true, Barry. Good idea, I'll beat her yet!"
"You guys could collab together even, send your readers to each other's websites. It'll help you both gain more readers and therefore more views." Barry suggests.
"Oh joy, working with Iris West." You say sarcastically. "Don't get me wrong, Barry. Talented writer? Yes. A person worth befriending and collaborating with? I think not."
Barry chuckles slightly, "You guys never did like each other, did you? Why is that, y/n?"
"Conflict of interests?" You shrug.
"That's not what I see." Barry leans over the table more, "I see it as too similar of interests, always trying to outdo one another. Always trying to show who's superior, who's the better writer. A typical girl fight." "I beg to differ," you refute.
"I thought you guys would outgrow it once we all graduated from school, got occupations, started life as adults; seems I was wrong."
"Hey, I'm happy where I'm at." You defend, "Like I may not be writing as much as I wanted to, not writing articles like Ms. Iris West over there,  but I still do what I love. I help other aspiring journalists, writers become better. I edit their work, critique it, push them to reach their full potential."
"I can't argue with that, but I still say you two are jealous of each other." Barry says simply.
"Why would she be jealous of me?" You scoff.
"Why wouldn't she be?" Barry counters, "Probably for the same reason you're jealous of her." "I'm not jealous."
"Convincing," Barry smirks.
"I don't know," you say, irritably. "Sounds to me like you already have a guess, so why not share your observations?"
"You were jealous of her once you figured out I liked her, now the tables have turned."
"Wait a minute, how-" Your eyes widen as you comprehend the last part, "What do you mean the tables turned?"
Barry's brown eyes meet yours, "I like you, y/n."
You laugh, "You're joking, right?"
"Iris and I don't meet as often, we've lost the bond we had. After she rejected me, I started to see things in a different light. It just took me awhile to realize what I saw, I saw a future, a future with you."
"So you admit I still am second best," you shake your head angrily. "It took her rejection to realize that you maybe found me attractive, that I could be part of your future."
"That's not what I'm saying," Barry sighs. "You're not making it easy, y/n. I like you, I see something different in you, something that Iris lacks. You have a pure heart, a sweet kindness in your whole being, you're amazingly funny, you're literally beautiful in every way."
By now your anger had been calmed by Barry's soft words. "You actually like me?"
"Yes," Barry laughs. "You're beautiful, gorgeous even. The way you laugh, it's adorable. The way the corner of your eyes crinkle as you smile, the way a simple blush rises to your cheeks every time someone compliments you. The way you cock your eyebrows when you decide to get cocky and show some attitude, it's honestly heart-melting."
You blush at his words, and stare hard at the table in front of you.
"See? You're even doing it right now, blushing madly. You make it hard for a guy not to fall for you."
"Could say the same thing about you," you finally say. "You make girls blush without realizing it, make girls go weak at the knees for your chivalry, charm girls with your good looks and humor, not to mention those dimples you possess." "Awww, y/n." Barry laughs, however you notice how red his cheeks have gotten.
"Kiss me?" you ask with a small smirk.
Barry leans over the table, his cologne filling your nostrils at the closeness between you two.
Your eyes close involuntarily as you feel his lips meet yours, it wasn't a needy or lust-filled kiss, more of a gentle one. "Mmmmm," you say as he pulls away.
"Like it?" Barry struggles to maintain his calm voice.
"Let's do that more often," you giggle and shyly tuck a stray strand of hair behind your ear.
"Bet," Barry laughs as his lips meet yours once more.

Tumblr media
It killed you to see him like this, Wally never took losing a game easy but this was a new low. His eyes were glued to his phone, taking in every negative comment fans and rivals had to say about the game, and how he flubbed the final shot. What made it worse was the sports channel was playing on the T.V. highlighting moments from the game, including Wally’s performance.
“I’m not sure what West was doing out there today Rob, but as you can see he immediately stepped wrong from the get go.”
“You’re right Nick. What he should have done was pass, and let someone else take the shot.”
“Maybe West has let the fame and glory get to his–”
You couldn’t take it, ripping the plug out of the wall you walked over and took Wally’s phone out of his hand.
“Hey! Babe I–” he protested, before you walked off with his phone and hid it where he wouldn’t find it.
“Wally, you have got to stop listening to them,”
“Y/N, they’re right! I was getting too ahead of myself and I–”
Pinching his lips shut, you frowned. “If I hear one more negative comment, you won’t get any of the tacos I made.”
Wally slumped his shoulders and nodded, with a muffled “Yes, ma’am.”
“Good, now go sit your cute butt down and eat and then we can snuggle.”
Once you released his lips, Wally sulked off to the couch and ate. Your dinner was silent, Wally still stuck in this pit of depression he couldn’t seem to find his way free from. You had to find a way to get him out of this rut he found himself in.
Not even bothering to take care of the dishes, you grabbed Wally’s hands and led him back towards the couch. Taking a seat, you pulled him down with you and rested your head on his chest. Wally’s hand found its place on your waist, holding you close on his lap as you turned on the television, and found the perfect thing to get his mind off the game.
The mind numbing mediocreness that is known as Dora the Explorer.
Wally snorted a little, and pulled you closer. “Dora, really?”
“I think you need to work on your Spanish babe,” you teased, pecking his cheek.
“It can’t be that bad,”
“We’ll decide that at the end,”
Rolling his eyes, Wally relaxed with you in his hold as he watched the T.V. The short program seemed to be just what he needed, the mundane task of watching a children’s show and poking at him to participate when Dora asked for help.
“Babe, I’m not saying it.”
“Wally, Dora clearly needs your help.
“Nope,” he shook his head. “Not doing it.”
Raising a brow, you turned him to look at you. “I’ll give you a kiss if you do,”
You watched as the thought passed through his mind, Wally side-eyeing the T.V. before turning to you. “Swiper, no swiping.”
Ever so softly, you leaned closer and pressed a kiss to his lips, before looking at him with a smile.
“Swiper, no swiping.” he said again, with a hint of his humor returning to his voice.
You obliged, and leaned in for a kiss again, this one lasting a second longer than the last. Wally’s hold on your waist tightened slightly, before he relaxed again.
“Swiper, no swiping.” he said again, his eyes not leaving you.
“You’re just looking for an excuse to kiss me now,”
“Am not, Dora has to say it three times before Swiper goes away.”
Turning so you’re straddling his lap, you pressed a third kiss to his lips. This time Wally held your waist with both hands, keeping you closer long enough he could inhale your scent as he kissed you.
Pulling away, you couldn’t fight the smile at his wide eyes. Every time you kissed him, he looked like it was your first all over again. You never got tired of the adoring look on his face.
“Nicely done babe, you got rid of Swiper.” you teased, poking his chest.
“¡Lo hicimos!”
“Now you’re just looking for an excuse,” you giggled,
“Dora says it every episode, I’m learning, see?” he hummed expectantly, looking at your lips he craved so much at this point.
Gripping your waist tightly, Wally watched as you leaned in and gave him another kiss. This one was different from the others, it was more urgent and needy than before, almost like you didn’t want to stop.
“Eres hermosa”,
“I don’t think you learned that from Dora, Wally.” you giggled,
“I’m pretty sure I did,” he grinned, knowing full well you couldn’t resist kissing him again.
“You’re insufferable,” you smiled, leaning in to kiss him once again. This time, Wally didn’t intend to let you go so soon.
Having you on his lap was driving him insane, but he had to control his urges. You were just wanting to cheer him up, not have sex. Not wanting to lose it, Wally moved a hand to cradle your head.
Big mistake.
The cute little noise you made sent all the blood rushing straight to his dick Wally was sure you could feel pressing against your thigh now. Pulling back from the kiss, Wally could feel your breath fanning over his face as you panted to catch your breath.
The smell of you enveloped him, making it harder to not flip you and fuck you right there on the couch. He had to find a way to calm down, not wanting to make you do something you didn’t want.
You weren’t sure what was going through his mind, but you watched all thoughts halt as you reached down to grasp his cock in your hand, pulling a pathetic whine from his lips.
“Babe–” he gasped, against your lips.
“Yes?” you tilted your head to press a kiss to his cheek.
“You-You sure you w–want this?” he stammered, trying to hold back his moans from you fondling him through his pants.
Stopping your movements, you leaned back to look at him. “I’m the one who just grabbed your dick, and you’re the one asking me if I want to?”
Wally’s ears went pink.
“Do I need to grind on it for you to get the hint?” you grinned.
“No, but I would not complain. Maybe if you sit on my face, I might.”
You slapped his arm, giggling as he waggled his eyebrows.
Tightening his grip on you, Wally grinned. “Hurt me good, Babe.”
Raising a brow at him, you pushed Wally back onto the couch and watched as he landed with wide eyes looking up at you. Adjusting your hips, you grinned seeing the shocked look on Wally’s face.
“What’s the matter babe, cat got your tongue?”
Wally leaned back into the couch, watching as you moved your hips up his body slowly left speechless at your actions. Before he knew it, your thighs were beside his head, giving him a perfect view up your skirt.
Hooking your thumbs into the band of your underwear, Wally watched as you slowly slid them down your hips, his mouth watering at the sight of your soaked pussy.
Once you got them down to your legs, Wally helped you get them off and tossed them across the room. Running your hands down his chest, you felt Wally shudder under your touch as you lowered your hips onto his face.
His hands came up to grip your hips, moaning at the taste of you on his tongue. Wally lapped his tongue through your folds, pulling you impossibly closer to his face, listening to the sweet moans coming from you. You were sure his hands were going to leave marks from how tight he was gripping you.
"If you behave, maybe I'll let you do the same to me."
Immediately, Wally’s tongue picked up the pace as he tried to taste every inch of you he could.
Gripping the bottom of his shirt, you rocked your hips into his face moaning as he ate you out like it was his last meal.
“Oh–Just like that baby,” you moaned, closing your eyes and tossing your head back. “Such a good boy for me.”
Wally whined at the nickname, your name lost on his tongue as he continued as you canted your hips against his face. The raunchy sounds of Wally’s tongue entering and suckling all he could out of you.
Leaning forward, you slowly unzipped Wally’s pants hearing him groan softly at the release of his jeans. Letting out a low moan, you mouthed at this length of his cock your breath fanning over his crotch.
“Does my good boy want me to suck his cock?” you asked, gripping his thighs tightly as you slowly lost yourself in the pleasure of Wally’s tongue on your pussy.
Wally bucked his hips in response, pulling you lower onto his face not caring one bit about coming up for air. If he wanted, Wally could live out the rest of his days with his face buried between your thighs, lapping at your sweet cunt and listening to the pretty sounds you made for him.
Pulling his pants and his boxers down, you stroked your finger and thumb up and down his cock, smearing the precum over his shaft before taking it into your mouth.
Wally moaned loudly, digging his fingers into the supple flesh of your thighs as you swallowed his cock. Bobbing your head, you felt Wally melt under your touch as he continued to eat your pussy.
Rocking your hips, you whined around his cock feeling the familiar build up of your orgasm. Your cries were muffled as you chased your high, unable to focus on Wally’s cock in your mouth. Wally felt your walls tighten around his tongue, before you released on his face coating it in your juices.
Wally moaned, lapping up every bit he could, savoring every drop. Swallowing all he could, Wally lifted your hips.
“Ba–Babe,” he gasped in between breaths. “Turn over, now.”
You barely heard his request before you were flipped onto your back and Wally was shoving his cock down your throat. A loud moan left him as he thrusted his hips, listening to the wet sounds of you choking on his cock.
Looking down at you, Wally saw the fucked out look on your face and grinned. “Look at my baby girl taking my cock so well,” he hummed.
“Should I reward her?”
There were muffled pleas from you, followed by gagging as Wally shoved his cock deeper. Leaning down, Wally licked a strip between your folds that had you squealing around his shaft. Wally loved the taste of your pussy, your release sweet on his tongue as he devoured you.
Moving his hips, Wally continued to lap at your wall and press his thumb to your clit as he nipped at your folds slightly. Each one had you curling your toes and kicking your legs.
Feeling his balls tighten, Wally moaned against your pussy as he continued to move his hips.
“Just a little more baby,” he hummed, kissing your cunt. “Just a little more and you can have my cock all you want, okay?”
Thrusting his hips, Wally moaned your name as he cummed down your throat, before you cried out and reached your climax.
Thoroughly exhausted, Wally carefully rolled off you and flipped around before pulling you close. Placing kisses all over your face, Wally began taking his shirt and pants off. Once done, Wally pressed a kiss to every bit of exposed skin as he helped you get the rest of your clothes off, covering you in kisses still before slowly slipping his cock into you.
Letting out a low moan, Wally held you close and kissed your shoulder. “So fucking perfect, just for me.”
“Imagine how I feel,” you gasped, clenching around his shaft as you adjusted to his girth.
“After we nap, I promise to fuck you properly baby.”
Leaning back into him, you hummed. “I look forward to it.”
A couple hours later, and some wonderful wake-up sex, you and Wally were tangled up on the couch in a woolen blanket knitted by Wally’s mother, whom you’ve met and had dinner with.
Wally’s face was nuzzled into your shoulder as he wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you impossibly closer.
His hair tickled your face making you giggle, “Wally, what are you doing?”
“Loving you,” he muttered, pressing a soft kiss to your tacky skin.
Stroking your fingers through his hair, you held him close. “You still aren’t thinking about the game are you?”
Wally’s sudden silence gave you all the confirmation you needed.
“Babe, you can’t let them get to you.”
“Y/N, you haven’t seen what these people are capable of.”
Raising a brow, you turned your head to look at him. “I’ve shown you what people have said about me being your girlfriend, do you have any idea how much that hurts?”
“Probably something like this?” he muttered, peeking an eye to look up at you.
“Something of the sort, yeah. It never gets any easier, but knowing I get to come home to you every day makes it that much more worth it.”
Wally stayed silent, thinking over your words and of course you were right but he wasn’t going to say that out loud. Wally had an ego to protect after all.
Instead, he snuggled closer to you.
“You know I love you right?”
A small smile formed on your lips. “Of course I do, and I love you too, Wally.”

Powers
Summary: You have Powers and finally told Barry.
Pairing: Barry Allen x reader
Word count: 1,059
Warning: none
Not edited, but I will edit it later.
“I have powers.” The words came out of my mouth like air blowing randomly during the day. I had to do it. It was time that I told him. “What?” He asked, turning off the tv and turning all his attention on me. I looked down to my hands not wanting the attention. “Barry-“ Before I continued I took a quick glance at his face. It was full of confusion and concern. Before looking down again, I could see his mouth open and close.
I felt him move closer to me. “I’ve had them for a while but I don’t use them. Sometimes I can’t even control them! You know it’s just so frustrating. I’m sorry I kept it from you. You can break up with me if you want. You probably don’t wanna date a metahum-“
My voice was quiet, fast yet slow. Barry interrupted me by grabbing my face gently. “Don’t say that. You don’t know how I feel about you,” he told me softly. “So how do you feel?” Those words came out hesitant. I didn’t know if I was ready to know what he felt. My eyes roamed the living room, avoiding his eyes. “Look at me.”
It took everything in me to look at him but I did. “I don’t care if you’re a meta human Y/n.” His beautiful green eyes were looking at me. “Being a metahuman doesn’t make me love you any less.”
Barry and I talked things out. He was very supportive. He didn’t care that I was a metahuman. I appreciated him for that. He was always there for me when I needed him.
“We should go to StarLabs.”
My eyes widened. “StarLabs? Why?” I was confused as to why he wanted me to go there because Dr.Wells killed his mom. “You’ll see.”
We went to StarLabs. “Barry, what are you doing here?” Iris said a little harsh, noticing me. “It’s time to tell her.” I gave Barry a confused look, while he just smiled. “Tell me what?” I asked skeptically.
“So this is your lover?” I heard behind me. I turned around to see Harrison Wells. In the flesh. My mouth fell open. “Harrison Wells?” I gasped, even more confused now. “Can we have the room?” Barry said. When they left he sat me down. “Uh Y/n I- I’ve been wanting to tell you something,” he explained while scratching the back of his head. I gave him a look to continue.
“I’m the Flash.”
I blinked at him. “What?”
“Look I know. I’m sorry. I didn’t tell you sooner. It’s just.. you knowing, isn’t safe. Believe me when I say that telling you has always been on my mind.” I nodded cautiously at his words, listening intently. “Caitlyn can do tests on you and we can work on your powers, so you can control them.”
“Barry, forget that. I’m still processing that Dr.Wells is alive and your okay with it!” I threw my hands in the air. “That’s not Harrison Wells. He’s from Earth 2.”
“Huh?” All his words were scrambled.
“He’s from another Earth.” My hands rubbed my face, still slightly confused. “Okay..” I am still immensely confused.
“Are you mad?”
“About what?” I asked.
“That I didn’t tell you?” He replied, as if it were a question.
I tilted my head to the side. “No? Should I be mad?” He quickly shook his head, yet let out a sigh of relief. I cleared my throat and he looked at me confused. “Sooo about my powers. Something I didn’t mention is..” I looked at him, seeing that he was listening intently. I quickly grabbed his hand and sped us in circles a few times.
He looked at me in amazement and let out a laugh of excitement. “You have the Flash’s powers!” I nodded. I didn’t know if that was a good thing or not. It was hard for me to control. “That’s so awesome!”
Caitlyn did tests on me and confirmed that I was a speedster. The whole entire time during those tests I stared at Barry, I was still worried for some reason. He stood by my side the whole entire time. When Caitlyn was done he led me to the hall in StarLabs. “Why are you still worrying?” He asked me. “I don’t know.” I replied truthfully. “Y/n I like the way you look at me, but with warmth, love, and reassurance. Not with worry.” I smiled at him, feeling my heart warm. “I’m sorry. But I think I’m just scared, Barry. This is a very large step I’m taking,” I told him, while looking at the ground. “Hey,” he said softly, catching my attention. I looked back up, “I’m gonna be there through all of it. Everything you go through, I go through, okay? We’re a team.” He chuckled, “We’re the flash.”
“Like literally,” he said jokingly. I laughed at his sillines, he pulled me into him while smiling widely. “I love you Y/n. Everything you go through-“
“I go through,” I said at the same time. He nodded at me. He slowly leaned in to latch his lips onto mine. I gratefully kissed back. My arms rested on his shoulders while I caressed the back of his neck hairs, his hands were around my waist pulling me close. I felt like I was floating. I think I finally knew what a leaf felt like, slowly roaming through the sky with the wind.
Once we parted, “I love you,” I told him, since he didn’t really let me say it back. He pecked my lips once more and told me we could start training now. I agreed and learned a few things but it took some time. It was honestly scary, but with Barry by my side was easy. He helped me and so did Cisco and Caitlyn. Joe had been psyched knowing that I was a speedster, he was worried as well though.
Team Flash saw me grow. They supported, trained with me, and took care of me. They were my team. Barry was by my side. He was my rock, my anchor, he was the person that kept me going. I loved every part of Barry and he loved every part of me. Working with him is such an honor. Being speedsters brought us even closer than we were.

MASTERLIST
---
“Move..” Y/N pushed Barry out of her way to the trash can to empty her stomach contents. Barry pulled her hair back and gently rubbed circles on her lower back, encouraging her to get it all out. Groaning, she straightened her posture and wiped her mouth using the sleeve of her jumper, hating the fact that her friend saw her throw up the bacon and eggs she had for breakfast.
“You okay?” The speedster could clearly see that she’s barely able to keep a straight face and that bothered him. Barry rolled the chair over and eased her to sit down, slowly pushing the trash can closer to her in case she needed to throw up again.
“This is the fourth day I’ve seen you like this. What’s going on, are you sick?”
“No, no, it’s probably just what I ate today.” She tried to brush him off but he saw through her lies and he wasn’t dropping it until she told him what’s going on.
“You are aware that I can tell when you’re lying to me right?”
“Screw you Allen.” Barry smirked as she reached into her bag in search of something to show him. She retrieved a small envelope and handed it over to him. Y/N anxiously chewed on her bottom lip as she waited to see his reaction to the photos in his possession. His furrowed eyebrows shot up in surprise once the realization set in.
“You’re pregnant?!”
“Shhhh!” Y/N panicked, looking around to make sure that it’s only them in the cortex at the moment. Barry was excited about his friend’s pregnancy but his excitement dimmed a bit seeing that she wasn’t as excited as he was about all this.
“You’re not excited, why are you not excited?”
“Barry, I am terrified about this pregnancy.” Barry pulled the other chair to sit in front of her and took her hands in his. Y/N tightened her grip on his hand trying her best to not get too emotional about her predicament.
"Hey, hey…talk to me."
"I can't do this on my own. I'm not even sure if I'm going to be a good mom, hell I don't even know if I'm ready for this. Bar I got knocked up by a one night stand who doesn't want anything to do with me or this baby." Barry wiped away her tears with the pad of his thumb, his blood boiled in his veins upon hearing that the man neglected his responsibility and he wanted nothing more than to run over to the man’s house to kick his ass.
"Breathe with me, in and out." Y/N followed his lead to get her to calm down, she was having a hard time breathing as she panicked over the thoughts of how badly things could go wrong.
"If you do decide to keep it I know you're going to be an incredible mother and who said that you're gonna do this alone? I'm here and I'm not going to leave you to do this alone. Plus you've got Cisco, Caitlin, Iris and Joe to help out from time to time."
"I don't even know if I want to keep it and I have limited time to decide on that option."
"Whatever you decide, you have my support but do what you think is best."
“Thank you, Bar.”
Barry kissed her cheek and pulled her in for a hug, smiling as she nuzzled her nose into the crook of his neck. There was nothing in this world that he wouldn’t do for her because he knew that she’d be there for him no matter what.

Love Bites (Vampire!Sherloque Wells X Reader)
A/N: Buckle up because this is a long one! I've re-read and re-written this so many times, I really hope it's okay lol. I never know what to put in terms of warnings, but as the title suggests, there is vampire biting and (probably medically inaccurate) blood loss in this fic. Also, sorry if the French is bad, I used several online translators but I can never be sure how accurate they are.
Word Count: 5255
Tagging: @ageless-aislynn @khayrrilrainxwells @mcbenson25 @yetanotherwells (Feel free to message me if you want to be tagged in anything!)
~
There was a metahuman running rampant throughout STAR Labs. You weren’t sure how they got in, what their powers were, or what they wanted, but you knew they were very angry and were determined to let everyone know about it. The moment the security alarm went off, the poor few of you who were still around at five in the morning had scattered, hoping it would be harder for the meta to track you all down. Being the only one around with powers, Cisco took it upon himself to hunt the hunter. You had all tried Barry’s phone but there was no response.
Sherloque ran off before you did, and before your survival instincts had the chance to kick in, you decided to go on a secret hunt on your own. You had suspected something was off with him almost immediately. Sure, the reason why he attracted your attention in the first place may have been the way he looked at you when he first arrived, but no amount of winks and little smiles could hide all the weird things you noticed. He refused to leave the building until after the sun had set, kept far away from windows and mirrors, and acted so, so strangely whenever someone was bleeding. You tried to ignore it at first, but it was all too coincidental for it not to mean anything. After months of research and spying, you came to one conclusion:
Sherloque Wells was a vampire.
Okay. Vampire was a strong accusation. It was why you hadn’t told anyone yet. Why you were stalking him through corridors whilst a criminal was threatening everyone's lives. You just couldn't help yourself. Too many vampire novels, Joe would say, but after years of facing metahuman after metahuman, you longed to get your hands on something supernatural. And it was just an added bonus that the supernatural thing you had found was a Harrison Wells doppelganger. It was as if the universe had gift-wrapped him for you – that is, if he turned out to be a friendly vampire of course. You hadn’t decided on what you were going to do if he was secretly evil. Probably scream, get bit, and then die, unfortunately. Although, the getting bit part didn’t sound all that bad – not if it was anything like the novels you had read, anyway.
Sherloque turned the corner into the lounge and you paused at the doorway to eavesdrop. A few footsteps here. A few footsteps there. A few… Nothing. You held your breath and edged as close to the doorway as you could without being seen, but it was like no one was in the room at all. Just pure, eerie silence. Peeking your head around the entrance, you took a brief glance around; the room was large and open, there were no hiding places, and there was no Sherloque Wells.
Against every cell in your body shouting at you that it was a bad idea, you took a deep breath in and crept into the lounge. Your footsteps filled the room with a solitary echo. The city night lights spilt through the giant windows, pulling you out of the dark and towards the soft glow. Drawn towards the window, with the skyline catching your eye, you could feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. Something– Someone was watching you.
You span around. Darting your eyes all over the room trying to follow the shadows that flitted in your peripheral. There was movement. A lot of it. You could feel it in the air. But god forbid, you couldn’t see a single thing. You started to shuffle backwards and attempted to control your breathing but it was a fight against your lungs that you were already losing.
Your back hit something cold and solid, and it was not the window. Fingers grasped your arm and jerked you around.
“Hello chérie."
Yanking your arm away, you stepped out of reach and narrowed your eyes at the man in front of you.
“Sherloque.”
“It’s not very sensible to follow me when there’s a criminal on the prowl.”
Slowly, the detective began to circle you, like an animal stalking its prey. There was a look in his eyes that sent a chill down your back.
“Then again,” he continued, “something tells me it's not the criminal that has your attention, is it? No. You’ve had your eye on me ever since I arrived, studying me just as I study the case of Cicada. I’m afraid your interest has not gone unnoticed.”
The detective stopped right in front of you and leaned in, you could smell the bergamot on his breath.
“So, my curious little cat, what conclusions have you drawn from watching me?”
You wanted to take a step back. Or at least, you should’ve wanted to take a step back. The thought had definitely crossed your mind. However, the moment his icy blue eyes captured yours, you were fixated. You couldn’t even want to think about running away no matter how hard you tried.
God. Okay. You never intended this to be a big confrontation, but it was happening whether you liked it or not. Right here. Right now. Ignoring the croak in your voice, you mustered up as much confidence as you could and said what needed to be said.
“I think you’re a vampire.”
The phrase made Sherloque’s lips involuntarily widen into an indulgent smile.
“You think?” he teased.
“I know.”
He paused before replying, letting himself appreciate your firm tine. “And do tell, what exactly makes you so sure?”
Words fell out of your mouth, toppling over each other in a big, bumbling mess. Amongst the babbling you managed to get out some kind of accusation.
“Y-you don’t– You don’t have a reflection.”
“And?”
And? And… Shit. The more you tried to think, the harder it was to conjure up any of your memories. It was like that damned smirk of his was chasing away all the evidence you had collected over the months, and not in the usual flirtatious kind of way. He huffed, amused at the panic that had settled on your face – he was enjoying this too much. You weren’t sure what kind of mind games he was trying to play with you, but you weren’t going to stand for it.
“Stop it!”
His eyes glimmered.
“Stop what?”
“That stupid thing you’re doing with your eyes. You’re hypnotising me or something with your vampire powers. I know it.”
Sherloque innocently placed his hand on his chest. “Moi? Never.”
“Sherloque,” you warned.
The detective took a step back and the fog in your brain had been lifted. You could finally think clearly again, enough to see the two sharp fangs pointing out of Sherloque’s wide grin. Finally, you thought. Finally, something supernatural – and you figured it out without anyone else's help.
Sherloque leaned back against the window, folding his arms and softening his gaze. “You know,” he started, “I knew this was going to happen.”
You rolled your eyes. “No you didn’t.”
“I hoped this was going to happen. As I said, I've noticed your interest and it is… mutual.”
“Mutual? In what way?”
He shrugged. “You have a sharp eye for details, a master detective appreciates such a thing.”
“Uhuh, is that all?”
“Tu as un beau sourire que je ne peux pas quitter des yeux.”
“You know I don’t understand French.” You crossed your arms, hoping he wasn’t mumbling an insult.
Sherloque hesitated; a myriad of confessions lingered on the tip of his tongue. You were brave enough to confront him, but he wasn’t sure if he was brave enough to confront his own feelings, after all, he didn’t exactly have the best history with falling in love. Five Renee Adlers. All women who he once loved. All women who hated the shit out of him. He couldn’t stand the thought of you hating him like that.
A loud bang echoed down the corridor followed by heavy footsteps and shouting – one of the voices being recognisably Cisco. The footsteps soon stopped, but you both knew neither of you were safe standing in the middle of a big open area.
Your attention darted to the corridor, back to Sherloque, and then over his shoulder. The twinkling lights of the night skyline had diminished and the horizon was growing lighter and lighter by the second. He didn’t have to question you, the look on your face combined with the prickling feeling on the back of his neck told Sherloque everything he needed to know. You shifted your weight from one foot to the other.
“What do we do now?” you asked, watching the detective stiffen his back.
“What do you want to do?”
“For starters, I would like to leave this room alive.”
Sherloque scoffed. “Is that what you think of me? A murderer?”
“No! But–” you took a step forwards “–vampires need to drink blood right?”
“Oui, the longer you go without it the weaker you become, but a vampire can go many years without consuming blood before dying. And I can assure you, a well-experienced vampire can acquire more than enough blood without killing.”
Sherloque’s eyes were on yours, but you were positive that all his attention had moved to your neck. If he wanted to kill you he would have done it by now, but that didn’t mean you were completely safe. The others didn’t know about Sherloque’s secret for a reason, and now that you knew, you were a threat to that reason, and something had to be done about it.
The top of the sun began to peak over the horizon and Sherloque dropped the smug, in control act that he was playing. Quickly, he took your hand and took a step towards the door, hoping you would follow. You held his hand tightly and didn’t move an inch.
“Ma chérie, I cannot stay here,” he said desperately.
He could have yanked his hand away and left. He could have pulled you off your feet and dragged you out of the room if he really wanted to. But no. He wanted you to come with him, and he wanted you to come willingly.
“I will not harm you, I promise.”
There was no glimmer in his eyes. No tricks being played. You glanced at the sun rising and a part of you wondered if Sherloque would let the sun burn hum just so he could stay with you a little longer. Your stomach grew uneasy at the thought of watching that happen. Turning back to the detective, you nodded and let him lead you out of the room, away from the harsh rays of light spilling through the windows.
~
Trying to avoid running into the metahuman problem, you avoided loud noises coming from the lifts and found yourselves in one of STAR Lab’s many abandoned, windowless storage rooms. The lights had yet to be changed into LEDs like the rest of the building, but to your surprise they had no trouble turning on when you flicked the switch and filled the room with a gentle, orange glow. There wasn’t any furnishing, nowhere to sit down, nothing to hide behind. It was a long, empty, concrete box with Sherloque standing at one end, and you at the other.
“I know vampires are supposed to be pale,” you said, “but now that we’re in proper light, you look really pale.”
"Oui. It has been a few months since I last fed." You could feel his eyes on your neck again. "It has been taxing."
“Then why haven’t you found a uh– meal?”
“I may not be human, but I would like to consider myself not a monster.”
“You haven’t found anyone willing.” You bit your lip and averted your gaze. A terrible idea wormed its way into your head. A terrible, stupid idea. The kind that you would read about in your beloved vampire novels.
“Non, not on this earth.” Keeping his eyes on you, Sherloque made his way to the middle of the room. “Not yet, anyway.”
You took a small step towards him. “I suppose you’d be quicker at catching Cicada if you were at full strength, right?”
The detective smiled softly at you. He didn’t need any vampire powers to know what you were thinking. “Ma chérie, if I took enough blood to be at my full strength, you would be very ill for a long time.”
Feeling like a silly teen trying to charm your way into trouble, you took a few more steps closer, just out of arm's reach, and flicked your eyes back up at him. “Then I’ll be in need of someone to take care of me.”
Sherloque hummed as he considered your offering. Oh yes. He could definitely take good care of you. And it would certainly give him more time to think up a charming way of telling you how he truly felt about you.
“Very well, mon amour. I promise I shall take care of you, afterwards,” he said as his eyes darkened with hunger. “If you are sure?”
“I’m sure.”
It all happened so quickly. Before you knew it, Sherloque had closed the gap between the two of you, wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you so close against his chest that you swore, even if he didn’t have enhanced senses, he could hear how fast your heart was beating. He cupped your cheek gently and tilted your head to the side, eyeing up your warm veins. Leaning in, his chilled lips pressed against your hot neck, sucking the spot he had decided on. He lingered, letting his teeth graze the tender bruise he made.
You shuddered feeling his hot breath, and for a split second, you felt those survival instincts of yours telling you to run. Momentarily, you closed your eyes and buried those feelings, trying to focus on Sherloque instead. His nose brushing against your skin. His arms squeezing around your side. His hand on your jaw with his thumb stroking your cheek. Knowing that there was no turning back now made your insides fizz with anxious excitement.
He pulled back just enough to look at you, as if to ask for your permission one last time. You could feel your heart thumping in your head, so loud that if you opened your mouth, you were sure it would be the only sound that would come out. Clenching your jaw to keep yourself composed, you gave Sherloque a reassuring smile. Yes. You have my permission. He smiled back and his eyes glimmered. Just like it happened in the lounge, a foggy haze blanketed your mind, making everything feel like a dream. You didn’t think getting your blood drunk would be painful enough to warrant hypnosis, but you weren’t going to complain about a little bit of supernatural painkiller.
Even under Sherloque’s spell, you could tell that something changed in his eyes. The soft, cold look was overcome with lust, and his lips spread open, revealing those two inhumanly sharp fangs of his. Once more, the vampire leaned into your neck.
You gasped as his teeth pierced your skin with a painless, but sharp pressure. Despite the hypnosis, there was still a small part of your brain that was alert and trying to send you signals that something dangerous was happening. No matter how much you tried, you couldn’t stop from instinctively flinching away, but Sherloque pulled you back, holding you so tightly that you could barely wiggle. Once you were secure in his grip, he continued.
The fangs pulled away, but the lips stayed put. Sherloque licked the blood from your neck, and as soon as it reached the back of his throat, the months of thirst he endured hit him all at once. Suddenly he couldn’t help himself. You were too good. The licking turned into desperate sucking which caused the two of you to stumble. With your back hitting the nearest wall, you let out a whimper and grabbed a fist full of Sherloque’s wavy hair to steady yourself. Usually, the detective was very particular about how his hair looked, but right now he was far too drunk on your blood to care.
You weren’t sure how long it had lasted, but finally, Sherloque pulled away. The moment his arms left you, your legs buckled. Your vision was unfocused and Sherloque was a blur, moving quickly to catch you and softly sit you on the floor. His arms felt much stronger than what you remembered. Kneeling in front of you, he pulled off his scarf and wrapped it around your neck, tying it just enough to stop the bleeding – he’d see to it medically when you were properly safe. Seeing your glazed eyes trying to focus on him, Sherloque cupped your face with both his hands and gently guided your attention towards him. You wanted to rub your eyes, but your arms felt impossibly heavy to lift, so you settled on blinking until your vision cleared up and you could actually look at the man in front of you. His pupils were dilated, his once-pale skin was flushed with lively colour, and his lips were wet and red, stained with blood that smeared down his chin.
“Hmm, you… You look…” you mumbling trailed off.
"Just relax chérie, you won't be able to function normally for a few weeks. Best not to force it."
A door a few corridors away slammed, followed by Cisco shouting. The noises echoed painfully in your ears as they grew closer to your hiding place.
“I can say for certain,” he stood up, whipped out a handkerchief to clean his face, and then straightened his clothes, “you’ve given me more than enough blood to deal with our intruder. Wait here. Once I return, I shall get you home and take care of you, just as I promised.”
You wanted to object to being left alone, but with a smile and a wink, Sherloque left the room, closing the door quietly behind him.
A few minutes passed and the sound of the intruder stopped. You waited for Sherloque to come waltzing back to you, but all you received was silence. A few more minutes passed, and you grew restless. It shouldn’t be taking so long. You made yourself wait a little longer, but the silence was torture. He really should be back by now. A few more minutes and… No. No more minutes. No more waiting. Sure, you were too weak to walk, but you weren’t a damsel in distress, you weren’t going to just sit still in an empty storage room all by yourself. Using the wall, you pushed yourself forwards onto your hands and knees and slowly shuffled towards the door. Your head spun as you moved, but you carried on, determined to find out what was going on.
Aside from Cisco, no one knew what the power the metahuman has, so for all you knew, Sherloque could be in danger. Or maybe Cisco was being overpowered and he was in danger. Or maybe everyone was in danger and you were their only hope of survival. Or maybe everything was perfectly fine and you were worrying about nothing. You really hoped the latter was true because you didn’t need a detective to deduce that you weren’t going to be much help in a fight right now.
You reached the door and strained to lift your arm. Curling your fingers around the door handle, you used your weight to gracelessly heave it open, narrowly avoiding the door swinging into your face. The corridor was dark and empty. No Cisco. No handsome detective. Struggling for breaths, you managed to lean yourself against the doorframe, thrilled at your small accomplishment. You let out a huff, eyes growing tired of staying open. Wherever your dashing vampire was, he better come back for you soon, and he better not be injured.
The hypnotising thing Sherloque did had started to wear off, making you hyper aware of your arms and knees aching, and your neck stinging like hell. Vampire romance novels never mentioned how much being bitten would feel like… well, like being bitten. Something told you that there was a lot about vampires that vampire romance novels don’t mention. For example, it really sucked to wait for what felt like a million stupid years for one of them to come back for you.
A loud look over here kind of cough snapped you out of your miserable thought spiral.
Your head shot up, the movement causing your stomach to swirl and turn, but you were too overwhelmed and excited to care. Finally! Sherloque walked over to you and crouched by your feet. He was a lot less easy to focus on now, but still just as nice to look at.
“Hello trouble. I found Cisco and we put the metahuman in the pipeline. He is dealing with the mess that was made, and I have come to finally take you home–” Sherloque looked at you, then at the open door, then back at you with an amused smile. “Je suis désolé. Was the wait too long for you to handle?”
You opened your mouth, but the back of your throat was too dry to make a quip. Oh. That’s right. The grand trials and tribulations of trying to speak. You swallowed and spoke with as much determination as you could muster.
“You,” you started, your voice hoarse and sore, “were gone–”
“Oui. But I returned, just as I promised.”
“Gone f-for hours!”
Sherloque knitted his eyebrows and frowned, looking down at his pocket watch. He turned it to face you.
“No. I was gone for approximately twelve minutes.”
Suddenly, the detective’s hands were all over you. Face. Shoulders. Neck. Sherloque wasn’t a doctor, but you sat as still as you could and let the man carry out his examination. He promised to take care of whatever state he had left you in, but a part of you was still hoping that your state would be more breakfast in bed and less hospital gown. You attempted to take a slow deep breath, trying to make yourself as calm as the face you were looking at seemed to be, but what you ended you with was shaky and abrupt.
Sherloque stopped and sweetly held you by the shoulders – you could feel the new warmth of his hands through your clothes.
“You’ll be just fine.” His voice was soft and soothing. “I’ll get you home, make you something to eat to get some strength back into you, maybe make some tea to help you sleep– Hey. Hello? Chérie, look at me.”
You didn’t even notice it at first, but everytime you closed your eyes, it was getting increasingly difficult to open them again. With all your aches and pains, you were beyond exhausted. It would be so easy to close your eyes and drift off–
“I need you to stay awake for me,” Sherloque spoke in a slightly raised tone to keep your attention on him. “You can sleep as soon as I get you in bed. But until then, I need you to keep your eyes open. Okay?”
You mumbled that you’d try your best, and then the next few moments were a complete blur.
~
Sherloque had gotten you home… somehow. The details didn’t bother you, you were just happy to finally be home. Sherloque didn’t spare any time to start living up to that promise he made. He attentively tended to your wound, helped you change into pyjamas, and ushered you to bed. It wasn’t until after you had devoured his homemade soup did you lie down to sleep.
You tossed. You turned. You were exhausted beyond all means, but no amount of closing your eyes and hiding under the covers was helping you to fall asleep. Tor-ture. Grumbling, you rubbed your eyes and sat up. It wasn’t that long ago that you were struggling to stay awake. Penance from the universe for finding pleasure in aiding a vampire perhaps? No. He may have been smug, but Sherloque was a good vampire – Your vampire.
“Everything alright?”
Speak of the devil. You looked up at the detective leaning against your doorway and pouted.
“Can’t sleep.”
“No?”
“I know it’s the middle of the day, but my room is more than dark enough with my curtains closed. It’s like I'm too tired to be tired,” You said. “How does that make sense?”
“I bit you. There must still be adrenaline in your body.” Sherloque strolled over to sit by the side of your bed. “Your brain is still in fight or flight mode, bien-aimée, you need to relax.”
“Bien-ahh, uh–”
“Bien-aimée.”
“Bien-aimée,” you slowly repeated . “That’s a new one. What does it mean?”
Beloved.
Sherloque turned his head to look out the window and hummed.
“Maybe I will teach you some French when you get better.” He quickly kicked off his shoes and turned back to you. “But for now, you need to relax and you need to sleep.”
The detective swiftly slid under the covers. You opened and closed your mouth, deciding not to protest, and instead shuffled to make enough room for Sherloque to sit comfortably next to you. For once, you were glad for your small double bed; the lack of space pulling the two of you together, making Sherloque putting his arm around you feel like a natural advancement – the kind you had been trying to hype yourself up to make ever since you got home.
Somehow, asking a vampire to bite you was less nerve wracking than trying to cuddle up and relax with one. At least when you were running around STAR Labs you had adrenaline and the imposing threat of being hunted by a metahuman to motivate you. Now that the waters had settled, there was nothing to mask the fact that you had just ran head first into some kind of relationship with a detective vampire from another earth who you were half assuming was going to kill you when he found out you were investigating him.
You leaned into Sherloques side, rested your head against his shoulder. Perhaps it was better not to think too hard about these things. It wasn’t exactly like you were looking to get married the next day, just some good company and some well needed sleep. Feeling Sherloque relax under you, you closed your eyes tight, focusing on his thumb softly rubbing against your arm. The tiredness was really catching up to you now. With the cool, calm darkness granted to you via your black out curtains, and the warm embrace of your duvet wrapped around you and Sherloque, falling asleep no longer felt impossible.
“Relax and sleep,” you mumbled, “I think I can do that.”
Sherloque rested his head on top of yours, listening to the slow rhythm of your breathing. Why on earth he decided to get in bed with you was beyond him. He was so desperate to change the subject that he didn’t give himself time to think about what he was doing. Idiot. Whatever happened to avoiding another Renee Adler situation? They had all moved on but the memories of them – or more so, the memories of the mistakes he made with them – stuck to him like chewing gum in hair.
With a deep sigh, Sherloque closed his eyes. You weren’t her. You weren’t any version of her. But that didn’t stop him from assuming he’d screw things up with you like he had done over and over again with Renee. There was a chance that she and him just weren’t meant to be, but there was another, greater chance that any relationship with Sherloque just wasn’t meant to be – the latter scared him more than direct sunlight ever could. He hoped to God that you were feeling relaxed because inside his head was far from it.
~
To save your sleep schedule from becoming vamperic, you had planned to sleep until the sun had risen again, but it was quarter to midnight when you woke up. You almost weren't sure that you had woken up as you had to pry your eyelids open from deep sleep only to be met with darkness. Sherloque was lying flat on his back and you were still by his side, head still on his shoulder, limbs half sprawled out over him. All your joints ached and the pressure in your head persisted – perhaps it was a good thing that you woke up in the dark because oversleeping left you just as groggy as you felt when you got home.
“Beloved.”
You flinched. It made sense that the vampire next to you was awake during the night, but he was so still and you were so sleepy from waking up that it never got close to crossing your mind. You angled your head to look up at the outline of Sherloques Jaw.
“Huh?”
“Bien-aimée,” Sherloque said gently, staring at the ceiling. “It means beloved.”
The words tingled as you repeated them in your head. Beloved. Beloved. Beloved.
“Sherloque,” you breathed, “have you been calling me pet names this whole time?”
“Perhaps.”
It didn’t take vampire night vision to see the guilty, smug smile on his face; you bit your lower lip to hide a similar, bashful smile from appearing on your own. Sure. He noticed you noticing him. He took a liking to you. He flirted, bit, and then slept beside you. But it never occurred to you that he had been pining for you far longer than you had been for him. Not trusting the dark to conceal your flustered expression, you turned and smushed your face into Sherloques chest.
“Bien-aimée,” he said gleefully, squeezing his arms around you, “my fondness for you is not new information.”
Despite the tiredness and Sherloques chest muffling your voice, your laugh was undeniably embarrassed. “This. Whole. Time. Sherloque. Why didn’t you say anything?”
The pressure of Sherloques arms slightly loosened, and you were once again thankful for the dark hiding both your face from him and his face from you. Whatever he was thinking of, it wasn’t good, that you were certain of.
Renee. He had to get over it. You weren’t another repeated, doomed relationship. You were new. You were brilliant. And right now you were his and he couldn’t give that up, not for people who lived on different earths and didn’t even understand him properly.
Your heart was beating fast, and Sherloque couldn’t stand feeling his silence weigh you down any longer.
“A relationship with a vampire isn’t an easy one,” he finally said.
“No relationship is.”
“But especially with me.”
Taking your time as to not worsen your headache, you propped yourself up on your elbows so Sherloque could see your face.
“I’m not one to back down from a challenge, whether it’s supernatural, investigative–” you looked at the uncertainty in Sherloque’s bright, blue eyes “–or emotional. I’m strong enough to work through anything, and I’m sure you are too.”
Your eyes had bags but they were full of so much more life than they were when he first brought you home. If he wanted you to carry on looking at him like that, he’d have to move on. He would move on.
“My dear, if you believe I am strong enough–” Sherloque smiled at you softly “–then I am strong enough.”
“Good.”
You smiled brightly and leaned forwards, capturing his soft, warm lips with a kiss.
