It’s the 28th anniversary of the Songwriters Hall Of Fame induction ceremony (1994) and I love the chaotic nature of these photos. The, is it the bird or not photo (I desperately want to believe that Barry was flipping the bird to someone) and there’s Robin. His nature was just chaotic and I feel like this photo captures him so well. 😂

🐙. Do they have any nicknames for you? Is there meaning behind them? Darlin' Sweetheart, Baby boy, Pup Cup (he'd use this when im just a puppy :3cc, lots of very affectionate loving nicknames. Guppy (or guppy puppy) also because Aerie used those once in a fic and im obsessed. honestly just. very affectionate and sweet nicknames. SOMETIMES he would playfully use something like "trouble" or "terror toddler" or something but only!! playfully

🐄. If you had a nursery how would you decorate it? Would your caregiver(s) be allowed to decorate it too? !!! Ohhhh my gosh okay yes absolutely he would but um!! I would have like the most chaotic theming bc itd be anything i like. Space mobiles and tigger plushies and shark plushies and sheep nightlights and glow-stars on the ceiling and i think he'd want a rocking chair ngl. removable crib sides bc something i think i'd want them and sometimes not!! a little hiding corner with soft toys and a floor bed kinda thing. yellow and blues!!

🐏. What would your fictional caregiver do if you were upset? How would they comfort you? "Poor baby" "Oh, I know, you're just a little thing" soothing and cuddling, sit me on the couch or in the rocking chair and just let me cry it out if i wanted!! watch some tv with me or read to me, but just be there and hold me <:) if i was upset bc i got in trouble it'd be a gentle but firm lecture, but definitely comfort and reassurance added in there 💙💙💙 also he'd spoil me with food i like/wanted/treats

🦄. Do they have any particular activities they like doing while you're regressed? I think. he likes roughhousing a bit or being outside (aka in the holodecks)!!! nothing too rough but yk like "sitting" on me when im on the couch and then saying "gee this couch sure is noisy!" also i think he'd show everyone in sickbay any drawing i make him. he'd like to sit in the rocking chair with me and hold me and read me a story at night too

1. odessa because it’s just so intricate and beautiful and also because i have such intense memories from the very first time i ever listened to it and that was like. idk a very chaotic time but also a time i’m unreasonably nostalgic about lmao. besides a lot of my favorite songs are from odessa!! you’ll never see my face again might as well be my theme song at this point

2. idea largely for the same reasons as odessa :( it’s just so beautiful and so dear to me lmao. it also has a vibe that reminds me of rankin bass christmas specials, which i’m pretty sure is just a Me Being Insane thing, but it’s an automatic plus nonetheless

3. it’s so hard to decide number three!!!! it just depends on what mood i’m in :( like, it could be cucumber castle or mr. natural or spicks and specks et cetera et cetera…….currently i’m inclined to say cucumber castle but i’m biased bc that’s what i’m listening to right now

back on my batman shit for a second; but what if the joker was just eric andre on steroids?? a tall, skinny man with green hair going around gotham and harassing people and pranking them for a tv show. he gets famous and it all goes to his head, taking the "pranks" further and further. going from theft "pranks" to straight up stealing shit. kidnapping people as a "joke", bank heists, dressing up in cop costumes and falsely arresting people, being a genuinely awful public nuisance. harley quinn as hannibal, only taking the pranks further and further, all while getting it on camera. joker thinking stealing chemicals is a good idea for some reason, falling into the vat and it changing his brain chemistry irrevocably. joker becoming the epitome of chaotic evil, but still doing genuinely funny stuff. hiding from batman while on the run, absconding into an abandoned warehouse. there's plenty of empty crates to hide behind, but he picks the lone pole in the room because he can't resist a good gag. slapstick violence, straight up three stooges impressions, all while spiraling further and further into actual violence. no joke is too out there, no prank too harmful. does all his own stunts, all while laughing his ass off. to me, the joker should just be some clown!!! some funny guy who's a terrible person who doesn't know when to quit!!! bee gee's "i started a joke", a combination of larry, curly and moe; the marx brothers, pagliacci, a mime, and eric andre rolled into one!!!

Various artists - Saturday Night Fever

Do you know what your threshold for camp is? If you can make it to the end of this album then it's higher than most people's. From the absolutely iconic Bee Gees tunes to the inspired instrumentals to the absolutely unhinged disco covers of classical music this album is a mood and a half. Some of the tracks like The Trammps' Disco Inferno, KC & the Sunshine Band's Boogie Shoes, or anything by the Bee Gees are certified classics. Other aren't as well known but should be. The idea of making a disco version of Mussorgsky's Night On Bald Mountain is absolutely insane, the fact that it works is sincerely confusing to me. I love this stuff so much, it's so much more inspired and fun than you would think. Then again I'm a huge disco fan so I'm not an unbiased source. Like I said you need to be able to tolerate a lot of camp, but if you bask in random aesthetics like I do then you'll be right at home.

Pulp - Different Class

Luscious britpop with aspirations of art rock. That's what pulp brings to the table with Different Class. Jarvis Cocker manages to bring class consciousness and sexuality together and deliver with the deadpan energy of someone who is just narrating their everyday life. Different Class is just full of fantastic lines. Obviously the sort of hit Common People is just loaded with digs at bourgeois poverty tourists, Pencil Skirt has the exquisite line "But I've kissed your mother twice / And now I'm working on your dad" and I Spy has "The crowd gasp at Cocker's masterful control of the bicycle / Skillfully avoiding the dog turd outside the corner shop." Fantastic stuff, if I could write lines like that I would be famous.

Crosby, Stills & Nash - s/t

I think it's a little less fully realized and dynamic than their follow up with Neil Young, but the debut by supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash is still quite delightful. There's an angelic majesty to the way they compose harmonies from the bombastic Suite: Judy Blue Eyes to the pastoral Guinnevere. It's an essential piece of late 60s hippie folk camp.

Pearl Jam - Ten

Eddie Vedder had a voice that belonged in a hair metal band and he used it to make the mopiest music imaginable. Ten cemented the grunge sound as something beyond a miniscule punk movement pushing it into the mainstream. It also pushed the sound towards a more classic rock / hard rock sound that would become a major staple of later bands like Soundgarden, Alive In Chains, and Stone Temple Pilots. The album is moody and heavy, dealing with themes of alienation, abuse, homelessness, suicide, it's bleak stuff. But it put a voice to the darkest human feelings with a sincerity that definitely resonated with people.

The Police - Synchronicity

A pop rock masterpiece. Sting's anxiously urgent delivery and cryptic lyricism blend with the manic and complex percussion of Stewart Copeland. It The Police's finest album. Most people know classic stalker song Every Breath You Take but there are so many standouts from the chaotic arpeggios of the two title tracks to the psychotic breakdown that is Mother or the incredible drumming on Murder By Numbers. It's the softest of all their albums, but the most artistically concise as well.

Erykah Badu - Mama's Gun

The rich depth, both musical and emotional, that can be felt on this album is enough to drown in. Erykah Badu perfects the confessional song airing every emotion, every grievance, every guilty thought into an hour plus epic. As a member of the Soulquarians she also had access to an all star cast of musicians and producers including J Dilla and Questlove. The beats have subtle elements of funk with strong jazzy overtones, jazzier than her neo soul contemporaries for sure. Mama's Gun probably runs a little long at an hour and ten minutes, but the long songs are worth it. This album is the blueprint for things I like about neo soul and honestly even the albums I like better refer so heavily to it that Mama's Gun ought to be remembered as one of the greatest achievements in the genre.
