im rewatching she-ra and naturally im gonna want to write about it a lot. starting by breaking down the catradora conflict origin story scene from s01e02 the sword part 2

people have said this before but the most important thing to keep in mind here is how different their understanding of whats going on is. theyre both approaching this with completely different views and so they misunderstand what the other means.

Adora: There's no time. We have to put a stop this.

Catra: What? Why?

Adora: Because this is a civilian town. Look around! These aren't insurgents. They're innocent people.

Catra: Yeah, sure. Innocent people who kidnapped a Horde officer. Now come on, let's get you back to the Fright Zone. Shadow Weaver is freaking out. [laughing] It'd be funny if she weren't such a terrible person.

so immediately theres two things i wanna say about this part, about how catra reacts to stuff. first off, something we learn about catra throughout the whole show and especially in the portal-alternative-reality, is that shes big on Pretending Nothing Is Wrong. whenever shes feeling upset or angry about something, she will start joking around and acting like shes just totally super chill guys, dw ("Ugh, whatever. It's not like I even care. I just wanna get out of this dump at some point before I dieee of boredom). Shes acting like that in this scene. Adora was missing for hours, shadow weaver was breathing down her neck and threatening her, she was already worried adora might have left at this point. she cant let adora know how worried she was tho, so shes all jokes and fast paced conversation. To Adora, tho, it just looks like catra doesnt care, like she doesnt understand the gravity of the situation.

and the other thing is that honestly? I dont think catra does care. about the town, i mean. i think catra was ready for war in a way adora never was. theyre both seeing combat for the first time here, and adora hates it. training for war is completely different than being in the battlefield, and adora couldnt handle it. face to face with it she couldnt tolerate seeing people suffering and dying, houses being burned down, a whole village destroyed. when the horde brainwashed adora into thinking they were only doing the necessary to save etheria, she completely and fully believed it, and when faced with the reality of the horde she immediately realized how wrong that was. Catra, tho, could not care less. she never believed in what the horde said, she knew full well what the horde did, so this isnt a surprise for her. and i do think shes naturally a bit sadistic, or at least growing up among the violence of the horde made her so. either way, shes seeing battle here for the first time and shes completely fine with it. doesnt even spare it all a second glance. why would she care about these people she never met if the most important thing in the world is right here in front of her? (i think even if adora hadnt left that night and went into the battlefield as a force captain, she wouldve ended up deserting. she cant stand seeing people suffer and she cant stand not saving them. shes too good, too selfless for that. catra isnt.) (also she is so ready to kill at all times. she loves violence. i once saw someone say how shadow weaver thought adora was the "cutthroat, ruthless warrior" when that was actually catra and they were totally right)

adora is also trying something futile here, she doesnt need to explain to catra that the horde is bad and hurts innocent ppl because catra has known that all her life

Adora: Catra, no. I can't go back. Not until the Horde leaves this town alone. You have to help me.

Catra: What are you saying?

Adora: I’m saying, this is wrong. They've been lying to us, manipulating us. Hordak, Shadow Weaver, all of them.

Catra: Duh! Did ya just figure that out? Manipulation is Shadow Weaver's whole thing. She's been messing with our heads since we were kids.

(the captions in the pics are slightly wrong, nvm that.) everything i said before. adora just realized all of this, while catra has always known, probably because the abuse adora suffered was more manipulation-and-brainwashing, while shadow weaver always made clear to catra that she didnt give a shit about her, so she suffered physical abuse with little attempt to convince her this was fine.

the "what are you saying?" is one of the things that show how different their perspective is. adora is talking about going against the horde and helping the town, while catra immediately gets more personal. what do you mean? are you saying that you might leave the horde? leave me?

Adora: How could you possibly be okay with that?

adora means, how could you be ok with the horde lying about its actions, and killing innocent people? how could you be ok with the horde raising us to do the same? and catra hears, how could you be ok with shadow weaver and hordak abusing us?

Catra: Because, it doesn't matter what they do. The two of us look out for each other. And soon we'll be calling the shots. Now come on, can we go home already?

catra replies: because, i love you. because you have my back and i have yours. because nothing really bad can happen as long as we have each other, remember? and soon enough, we'll be powerful enough that they cant hurt us anymore. Adora hears, because i dont care about these people dying, the only thing thats important is you and i. and anyways, soon its gonna be Us killing them, isnt that good? lets go back home to the evil murder place.

Adora: I'm not going home, Catra. I can't. Not after everything I've seen. Come with me. You don't have to go back there. We can fix this.

adora says: im starting to realize now how wrong i was about everything. we're not the good guys, and i cant stand for that. i cant stand around and watch people get hurt. i cant stand around and watch you get hurt. lets leave, together, and have a better life, please. lets do the right thing.

Catra: Are you kidding? You've known these people for, what, a couple of hours? And now you're just gonna throw everything away for them?

catra hears, shes willing to leave me. after everything i did for her, all that i took, all of these years of us being together, she would still leave me. she would break our promise. she would leave me behind.

and then she straight up electrocutes adora. ok

she says it was a reflex, but i dont know if i believe her. i dont think she likes hurting adora (not physically. not by this point, anyways), but i do think that shes the type to lash out when upset and immediately regret it, then feel guily about it. which just makes her more upset. :(

Catra: Oh, man. That was a lot stronger than I thought. Are you okay?

Adora: Why are you doing this?

Catra: Because you left me! And if I don't bring you back, Shadow Weaver’s gonna have my head. So, enough with your weird little identity crisis and let's go home already. Or do I need to zap you again?

thats the last time they talk. adora gets teleported away by glimmer, and when they see each other again, its clear that they both made their choice.

the moment adora showed catra she was willing to leave her, there was no coming back for them. because catra would never get over that. she'd spend all her life in that hellscape, putting up with abuse and bullying and probably so much more we dont get to see, because of the promise adora made her. and, in her eyes, adora was ready to leave her on the first opportunity that came up. that hurt. that broke her. and that released something really ugly inside of her.

So I started a Sims 4 game with Zuko, Catra, and Varian and not even 24 hours in the game Catra brawls with one of her neighbors during the welcome wagon (to be fair, the neighbor was being bitchy so she kind of deserved it...) Meanwhile Varian was in his room alone working on a chemical analyzer and Zuko was having a pleasant conversation with another neighbor right outside the apartment.

Hi friend, today we are gonna discuss or talk about Rogelio x Kyle ship because the ship is not but actually so scary/srs

let's stars: Scorpia says out of the blue that Kyle has a crush on Rogelio but if you pause and take a minute to think it it's wierd and disgusting because Kyle is a person and Rogelio an animal. Remember that Rogelio is not like C*tr*, his not a human, his a lizard . I mean what the shows says is that a person ( in this case, Kyle ) has a crush on an animal ( in this case, Rogelio ) and that's zoophile. I mean, it took me hour to realize why i felt the ship was wrong and then i realize Nate created a zoophile ship. Idk ic C*tradora counts too because yes C*tr* is an animal a cat but she's also a human so idk but still awfull. But well, i don't have any questions but i would like to know your opinion about this

I'm so glad that I'm not the only person who feels this way! I love Kyle but Rogelio is a literal lizard, he is not shown to be able to talk like Catra, he only speaks in grunts and him and Kyle are never shown to understand each other, Rogelio and Lonnie are the only ones shown to understand each other consistently, Rogelio is never shown to understand Kyle, and Kyle is never shown to understand Rogelio, which just makes the ship really icky for me. At least Catra, despite being a horrible person who did not deserve Adora was shown to speak and understand Adora.

Last Night

A Glimmadora Fanfiction

It was midnight. Glimmer was not sure how she knew that it was, considering how most of Etheria's lights had been snuffed out for a while now. But she knew it was midnight. And she couldn't sleep.

From where she lay, Glimmer could see the faint glow of the Failsafe on Adora's chest. A mark of approaching end. Based on how still Adora was, Glimmer reckoned she was probably awake too. She whispered to Adora, careful not to wake the others.

“Adora?”

There was a pause. Then Adora's voice reached her. “Yes?”

In that one syllable, Glimmer could pick apart at least three emotions. Uncertainty, fear, sorrow. Adora was already mourning herself. Her inevitable death.

Glimmer quietly got up from her sleeping bag and walked across to Adora's, sitting next to her.

“Why are you still awake?”

Glimmer could now see Adora's face in the Failsafe's glow. Adora always looked somewhat tired, Glimmer had noticed it a long time ago. She acted peppy and energetic, she always tried to cheer up and inspire her friends. But there was always that look of fatigue and some faraway sorrow that you could catch when she wasn't completely aware of herself.

And now, what with dealing with Catra and the threat of world destruction looming over them, Adora looked more exhausted than ever. She shrugged in reply to Glimmer's question.

“I don't know. I just couldn't sleep.” Adora glanced at Glimmer and sat up quickly. “Are you okay?”

Oh, Adora. Even when it was her life that was on the line, she still always cared so much about everyone else. Too much, maybe.

“I'm fine, don't worry,” Glimmer reassured her quickly. “What about you? How are you feeling?”

Adora sighed. “Does it matter?”

Glimmer took Adora's hand in hers. “It does. It matters to me. And Bow. And everyone out there who loves you and wants you to return safely.”

“I just—” Adora gave a slight ironic chuckle that was somehow even more chilling than her previous depressed tone. “I don't want to get your hopes up. Whatever happens happens for a good reason. Etheria will be safe again.”

Everything was silent for a while, except for the soft chirp of the cicadas. Glimmer tried not to think about the implications of that sentence. She squeezed Adora's hand as she willed herself not to break down into tears.

It took her some restraint and a deep breath to get her next words out, even though her voice was giving up on her.

“Does it always have to be you, Adora?”

She saw a shift in Adora's expression in the Failsafe's glow. “Doesn't it? Isn't that what She-ra is for?”

“Maybe.. but what is Adora for?” Glimmer met Adora's steady gaze. “What do you want, Adora?”

“I—” Adora's voice faltered as she failed to come up with an answer. She looked away. “It doesn't matter. I have to do this.”

A sudden thought struck Glimmer as she grabbed Adora's other hand and looked at the girl earnestly.

“I'm a lot more powerful than I used to be. I- I'm in total control of my powers now. Maybe I can handle the Failsafe, I could take it to the Heart of Etheria instead!”

“No!”

Adora covered her mouth, surprised at her own ferocity. Lowering her voice, she continued. “No. You're not the one who needs to do it. You have a kingdom to rule. You have people who care about you.”

“So do you, Adora,” Glimmer's voice caught in her throat, tears pricking the corners of her eyes.

Adora smiled sadly and touched Glimmer's forehead with her own, tears trickling down her cheeks. “Don't worry about me, okay?”

Glimmer didn't reply. She pulled Adora into a tight embrace instead.

Glimmer doesn't know how long they stayed that way or when they finally dropped off to sleep in each other's arms, comforted by the thought of spending their last few hours together.

Even if you don't love Catradora as a romantic relationship, you have to admit Nate Stevenson put a lot of complexity into both Catra and Adora as individual characters and into the intricate tangle of love and pain and trauma and regret that is their relationship to each other.

oh definitely agree he weaved an excellently well written relationship that explores love within the confines of an oppressive system and then the resulting trauma as well. and then catra and adora separately are just so well rounded I could talk about them for hours; they literally feel like real people!!

#like a lot of characters feel like tools to serve in a narrative #and that’s not necessarily the same plot devices bc there’s more importance and that’s understandable bc it’s a Story #but she ra is So character and relationship based and it’s in a broad way so catra and adora just had So Much to them #like even their motivations were plentiful like there was no one reason as to why they did what they did or why they are the way they are #she ra #spop #catradora #catra #adora #asks

@zeacat14 There is, there absolutely is. That line is so important to me, because it's the moment that everything I've been wanting to say finally comes to fruition.

Things might look incredibly shit sometimes, and that there's such immense hate out in the world. But it will never win. Just as Adora and Catra overcame the odds to win out against hatred, so will we. And whether we're on the front line, whether we care for those who need it or whether we're simply trying to keep the mood up, we're so much stronger together.

@cartoonsofthecosmos It certainly had its moments, but by taking breaks or reducing the post frequency, I avoided burning out somehow for three years on this thing. It was a lot of work (usually I put in about 8 hours a week!), but it never once felt like a burden because it's something I enjoy so much.

You think you're not prepared?! I am fucking lost right now! 😂

Oh, I am fully crying. Not just because it's over, but the sheer outpouring of love I've had in the last 24 hours is overwhelming. I am so incredibly grateful for all of you.

Bow: Updog is a long sausage in a bun, often served with ketchup, mustard, onions, and/or relish.

Glimmer: Not, that’s a hot dog. An updog is when a new version or patch of an application is released.

Scorpia: No, that's an update. You’re thinking of the fourth largest city in Sweden.

Perfuma: Surely, that’s Uppsala, where’s updog is the giant spider in Harry Potter.

Catra: That’s Aragog. Updog is a symbol conventionally used for an arbitrarily small number in analysis proofs.

Glimmer: You’re thinking of epsilon. Updog is an upward-moving air current.

Bow: No, that’s an updraft. An updog is the modern version of a henway.

idk if you’ve spoken about this in a while but i’d love to hear more about the ronance catradora au

personally, i feel like nancy and adora have the same energy and robin and catra have the same energy but i also feel in terms of plot and all, nancy as catra just makes sense, same with robin and adora

i would love to know what you think since this has been on my mind for the past hour 😭

i see both options!

realistically, in terms of energy/attitude i do agree that nancy and adora have similarities and robin and catra have similarities. robin would handle the rejection similarly to catra while nancy would pick up the hero mantle.

that being said, i actually think character-wise and plotwise that robin as adora and nancy as catra makes more sense. robin is too empathetic to stay with the horde while nancy renounces them; nancy, however, while empathetic, would be more willing to get things done for the greater good.

nancy has her guard up, is slow to form new relationships, and lets her emotions drive her more than anything. this alone rules her out as adora in my opinion as I don't see her forming a bond with whoever bow and glimmer would be, especially after being held captive. nancy wouldn't even be held captive by them. robin, though, is shown to be clumsy and forms quick friendships (look at her dynamic with dustin and erica in s3). she, to me, fits adora's style of heroism much more than nancy does.

nancy as catra, though? that's the biggest hook for me. nancy taking what feels like a rejection, in my opinion, would spur her down catra's path. nancy is the leader. nancy is the planner. nancy is very rarely wrong. she's smart enough to know what the horde is doing, like catra is, but to ultimately believe it's the best course of action, because it's all she knows. nancy wants to prove herself, to be something, and whoever shadoweaver would be would be able to take advantage of that.

i don't see nancy being as naive as adora is in some situations. she'd know what's going on but be smart enough to keep quiet. and, honestly, if robin had asked her to run away with her separately to rejecting the horde and embracing helping her 'new friends', I think nancy would've joined her. as it is, because it's nancy asking robin to come back and robin saying 'no, this is wrong', nancy takes it like a slap to the face, because in her eyes robin isn't rejecting the horde, she's rejecting her.

as a side note, i think plot-wise it makes more sense too. i think max could fit glimmer's character and lucas could fit bow's and steve's like, their bodyguard, or something. in which case, robin stumbling into that dynamic makes Sense. (erica fits frosta pretty well also, and dustin as entrapta).

robin's schtick is that underneath it all she's kind. she wants to help people. nancy does, too, but overall nancy is less concerned with people's feelings than she is getting she wants. robin puts on a tough front, but it immediately crumbles the moment she's actually close to someone.

this is all an extremely long-winded way to say that I personally see robin as adora and nancy as catra (especially because it makes their dynamics delicious), but I like both options!

Me when I started doing this nearly two months ago: oh my god I can't do this for every episode it'll take me MONTHS to watch them all I want is to refresh my memory of the show enough to write my damn fic

Me now, having done this for Yes, Every Fucking Episode: I'm not ready for the show to be over ;_; Also I am devastatingly obsessed with Catra and learned I have a specific kink I didn't know the name of before and I keep practicing eyeliner like every night so I can cosplay Catra :D

no really I've seen people express surprise that people think they're going to be a couple. when that ^ was after they'd known each other like two hours

(seriously tho, if you can handle violence (there's a LOT ngl, it is not a show for kids) then you should watch Arcane, the people who make it have made it pretty clear that it's gonna be canon, and the next season is out in November; but also leaving shipping aside it's just REALLY, REALLY GOOD)

Entrapta teaches Wrong Hordak how to wink and it's so cute. I also love that she explains what it means--because I'm sure she had to consciously learn it, too: "It signals unspoken intent behind my words. In this case, our mutual deception of the Horde. Now you try."

but yeah everyone in town is terrified and won't talk to them, and especially doesn't want to talk about any princesses

Also, note to self, Melog definitely understands human speech--they split up, Catra is told to stick with Entrapta and Melog (and Catra frowns at this, just barely) and Adora tells Melog to keep them safe and it does a little noise of affirmation. (wait is Melog a he or a she or a they?)(fan wiki says it's an it but dang I feel weird using "it")

Okay so the scene where Glimmer, Adora, and Bow hide in a shop and then end up arguing with the shopkeeper is like, fascinating on multiple levels

Because on the one hand: I can't blame the townspeople for just keeping their head down and trying to get out alive. On the other hand, reporting them to the Horde isn't cool; they could just pretend not to be suspicious of these guys; there are in fact lots of places on the spectrum between "actively collaborating with one's oppressors" and "mounting a full-scale armed rebellion."

But on the other other hand I also think it's interesting that Adora's the only one of the three who's like "nah dude just let these people live their lives omg," something about Adora having lived in an oppressive environment for her whole childhood maybe

Anyway Spinerella found them ack

Also Melog steals an apple for Catra, just magically takes it from someone's basket and into Catra's hand, which implies they're communicating non-verbally more than just moods, though I suppose "hungry, that apple looks good" is a mood

speaking of things that would make ANYone motion sick--

(Adora is saying it) Catra's right there, dude. You spent the last four seasons fighting her. lol.

Oh I paused it too soon lol Catra says this line:

Back on Horde Prime's ship, Hordak keeps looking at the chip thing Entrapta gave him and gets caught by Prime, whoopsie

oh hey, lore: Horde Prime can't access ALL the memories in his previous bodies without going into them, and he keeps his old bodies around in that green goo, that's fucking weird and gross, anyway he plugs a connection into his old body

Horde Prime: "The First Ones sought a new source of power of ancient worlds. Why? Why bend themselves to the whims of magic and myth?"

Poor Hordak has flashbacks to Entrapta and the Fright Zone. Mostly Entrapta. Including a moment of her looking at him fondly--I think it's the moment when she says "Imperfection is beautiful."

Horde Prime: "The fools took their secrets with them when they died. But I will find another way."

(I've seen a fan discussion suggest that there aren't actually any First Ones left--that when Light Hope made it so Adora came through the portal, the portal itself went back in time. I like that explanation in part because it means in my fic I don't have to figure out why Adora doesn't go looking for her birth family. Which tbh most fic-writers don't worry about anyway lol.)

Back with the rebellion, poor Catra is once again trying not to lose her lunch because they've all teleported.

And Netossa is like WTF IS THAT BITCH DOING HERE

Melog doesn't like that

Adora: "It's a long story, but she's with us now" Netossa: "...really??" (Catra in the background: hisses)

BAHAHA and then Netossa spots Wrong Hordak and they have to explain, no that one's with us, too 😬

But yeah p much the entire rebellion has been chipped except like Netossa and Perfuma

Adora and Bow have a guilt trip about having been gone for so long (...to rescue the queen! and also Catra)

and Catra's remembering what it's like to be chipped :(

Glimmer gives them all a ra-ra little speech

Adora just makes the sword appear in her hand without transforming lol that's cool

but they're doing the "I'm in" "yeah me too!" thing and

like, on dates?

Anyway the team heads back to Erelandia and starts kicking some ass

there's a great moment when Catra's like "you go deal with Spinnerella we'll take care of the bots" and Adora says "be careful" and Catra grins and says "always am!" like ma'am that is a LIE

Spinnerella is torturing some poor villager, and Netossa is worried her wife isn't still "in there"

Adora would know. From literal, personal experience. ;_;

She transforms into She-Ra and Netossa literally does a whistle of appreciation and says, "New look?" and She-Ra grins back. And somehow that is, like. Super queer. Like literally just one lesbian to another, in a flirty-but-not kinda way. Like I have *had* those interactions, where the underlying meaning is "I know we're each in a relationship, so I'm not actually hitting on you; but as one queer woman to another I want you to know that I see what you're putting out there and I like it." It's one of the best things??????

Netossa gives a little speech to Spinnerella about how she loves her and Spinnerella actually comes back for a few seconds ;_; but then she's gone again, but She-Ra and Netossa convince her to disappear for a while at least? And the locals rejoice.

And Catra would know. ;_; (She rubs the back of her neck after saying this.)

Anyway word gets back to Horde Prime that She-Ra is back on Etheria :D and he's so fucking pissed he's going to go there

...and Hordak spends a long moment looking at that chip from Entrapta again

They go to where the rebellion is actually hiding out, Glimmer and Catra recognize it

and I'M BLANKING ON WHY THEY'RE REACTING THIS WAY HELP seriously I have spent like ten minutes trying to figure it out, I don't think they talked about it while on Horde Prime's ship? Fuck!! IF YOU KNOW PLZ TELL ME

Any Perfuma ties them up and makes sure they're not chipped and then it's Happy Reunion Time with everyone :D

Adora to Catra: it's time for you to meet everyone Catra: are you sure??

Because it's Holy Week. I'm going to be in church like every day starting Wednesday and twice a couple of days ahahaha including an hour in the middle of the night on Thursday.

It is DEEPLY HILARIOUS to me that I'm going to end up watching the last episodes of She-Ra mere days before Easter. Like I literally have four left. Assuming I watch one tomorrow, I could end up watching the next one Tuesday night and watching the last two BEFORE GOING TO CHURCH ON WEDNESDAY how tf am I gonna focus for SHIT lolol

Rewrote spop's ending!

This is a long post! Rewrite under the cut, if you want the TLDR 1. Glimmadora becomes canon. 2. Adora saved the world as Adora with the help of the princesses. 3. Catra is in the crimson waste with a girlfriend 4. Changed a bunch of dialogue 5. Made Horde Prime have more depth than just evilllllll 6. Bow and Swiftwind help Adora as well 7. Glimmer's confession, her other friends support and Angella's last words are what caused Adora to fight against Horde Prime's influence and absorb the failsafe

Glimmer was walking for what seemed like hours, she was trying to find Adora, and she wouldn't let her face this on her own. She finally found Adora. She ran over "Adora!" She was on the ground and Glimmer held onto her "Adora...?" Adora looked at her with teary eyes and spoke in what was barely above a whisper "I'm sorry..." Glimmer's eyes widened "Adora! Please transfer into She-Ra! That's the only way you can survive!" Adora said "I...can't....Horde Prime's virus is stopping me from transforming into She-Ra..." Tears formed in Glimmer's eyes "No. No. No. No! It can't....you're going to make it through this Adora..." Adora shook her head "Glimmer...you need to go...I need to do this on my own..."

Glimmer shook her head "No. I'm not going to leave you. I told you I would stay by your side no matter what, and that's I'm going to do." Tears formed in Adora's eyes "Glimmer..." Adora tried to reach Glimmer with shaky hands, but they just fell back to the ground. Glimmer held back her tears and held onto Adora tightly. "I got you Adora...no matter what." Adora's eyes closed and Glimmer said "Adora...? Adora?!"

Adora imagined herself in a white gown. Glimmer walked over to her in a pink dress that faded into purple with sparkle designs. "Hi Adora! Are you done getting ready? We're about to be late to Scropia's ball!" Adora smiled "I'm ready." She reached out for Glimmer's hand but Glimmer turned into Horde Prime, he smiled "Awww Adora, what a sweet dream. You are so confused, I'm here to save Etheria." Adora began walking back "No...no! You're evil! Your idea of saving Etheria is making everyone just like you!" Horde Prime walked closer to her, Adora tried to walk back but bumped into a wall while Horde Prime laughed "Why of course, I am perfect after all. Don't worry, your future will be happier this way." The background behind Adora shattered revealing just a black void while Adora cried.

She could hear Glimmer's voice "Adora, you are so strong and you will get through this!" Bow ran in on Swiftwind and Adora could hear Bow's voice "Adora you have to do this!" She could hear Swiftwind's voice "Adora, you're our friend! We know you can do this! Please fight it!" Adora said, "You guys...you have to leave...." Adora begged. Glimmer's grip on her tightened "No, we're not leaving you! Everyone's here for you!" Swiftwind said "We are never giving up on you! You're our friend! You don't give up on friends!" Bow continued "Exactly! We'll never give up on you Adora! All of us believe in you! You can do this! All of your friends are here for you! You have to fight it!" Adora cried "Please...leave...you're going to get hurt." Glimmer said "No, please Adora! You can do this! We need you!" The tears Glimmer had been holding back were starting to fall "I need you..."

Adora groaned "Glimmer..." Glimmer said "Adora please..." Bow chimed in "You have to fight!" Glimmer said "Adora, please...I was never able to tell you that I...I..." She held Adora close "I love you...Adora...I love you more than anyone else..." Adora's eyes widened. She remembered Angella's last request "Take care of each other...Glimmer....I...I won't give up on you..." Memories of Bow, Glimmer, Swiftwind, and Angella flew through Adora's mind with all of their support, she attempted to resist the Horde Prime's influence, and try to absorb the failsafe without dying "Not on Bow...not on Swiftwind...not on Etheria...Not. On. Myself!" Adora thrashed and struggled "Adora?!" Glimmer asked. Adora was breathing heavily "I can do this...I can do this!" All of the green scars on Adora's face vanished, she absorbed the power of the failsafe, and her eyes fluttered open. She took out her sword and stabbed the ground, waves of life and light covered the world.

Glimmer was smiling so wide her cheeks were hurting "Adora!" Glimmer said, hugging Adora, crying tears of joy. Bow hugged Adora as well while Swiftwind gave her a nose bump. "You're ok!" Adora smiled, hugging them back. "Thanks, Bow...Glimmer...Swiftwind...thank you guys so much...for supporting me...for not giving up on me..." She looked at Glimmer and smiled "You love me...?" Glimmer blushed and looked to the side, rubbing her neck "Well...uhm...I..." Adora smiled "Glimmer...I love you too..." Glimmer looked at Adora, with her eyes wide. Adora placed her hand on Glimmer's cheek and kissed her. Glimmer held onto Adora, and kissed her back. Adora smiled "I love you so much Glimmer...but there's one more thing I must do." She stood up, walked, found the princesses, and told everyone else the plan and she walked over to Horde Prime, everyone following her close behind.

Adora walked over to Horde Prime. while Glimmer followed. She looked at Horde Prime, took a deep breath, and said "I surrender myself to you." She got on her knees and put her hands up. Horde Prime smiled, "Looks like you finally came to your senses. With She-Ra, Prime will easily rise again." Horde Prime walked over to her and Adora held onto his arms. "Glimmer, Mermista, Perfuma, Sea Hawk, Scropia Bow, Swiftwind, everyone go!" Perfuma restrained him with vines, while Mermista threw water on him, Bow shot him while everyone else, including Adora, with her newfound powers due to the failsafe, attacked him. After a while, he fell to the ground. brutally beaten and bruised. He looked up at Adora. "You're making a huge mistake! I make everyone's lives better! I'm saving them!" Adora hugged them all, with a big smile on her face.
